Worth it. Excellent racing game. Fast paced, neat ships, pretty environments, plus many control options. Music is surprisingly catchy, and while IAP are offered, there is absolutely NO need for them :D (Note: the game is not very easy. If you can't control the ship very well, check your sensitivity and control options. The fault is not with the game.)

Arcade style fun. I'm having a blast playing this game. Basically you're just racing against yourself, trying to establish your personal best at going around this racetrack on a hovercraft. The challenge comes from controlling your craft and not hitting the walls, and making sure that your craft status (green or red) matches the occasional green or red gate (match and you get a burst of speed; mismatch slows you down). The controls take a little getting used to. I just haven't been able to get used to the tilt controls, but have gotten quite good at the touch controls. Started with low sensitivity, and went up as I got better. A very polished game. Yes it's simple and it's just a racer, but it does what it does extremely well.

Great. The controls are nice and floaty (expected of a hovercar), the graphics are nice, and it's overall worth buying if you like racing games. It gets you to retry a level to get that certain time or grab enough toolkits or break enough vehicles. I also like that these challenges (3 per level) stay once you get them; e.g. You don't have to get all three in one go.

Actually better than some reviews say. A decent game for a buck. Good graphics and smooth gameplay. Controls aren't quite as bad as some people say, but it does need some fine tuning. If you play as many iOS simulation apps as I have over the years, you would find this to be well above the average and worth having for leisurely laps. Perhaps a steering assist with a time handicap might make it more appealing to those who do not have as much experience with flight and racing simulation apps for help in the learning curve. For those of you complaining about hitting the wall: simply turn the sensitivity down to 20% and learn the controls. As in most games, learn to control before you use the infamous "arcade boost", a feature of many arcade style games that causes me to toss them into the recycle bin immediately.

Immediately annoying. Had to stop after 2 minutes. Controls for turning left and right are so sensitive that you end up either smashing into the walls all the time or micro-tapping ten million times to get positioned correctly before the road changes direction again. Could be fun but they need to get a real expert in game mechanics in there to fix these flaws. I just don't understand why they didn't see this already. Did you guys actually try playing the game before releasing it?

Stunning Game. This game is truly amazing for the $1 price tag. The challenges are very difficult in my opinion (mainly the time challenge), though repetitive. My main issue is that the left and right controls when using the tap-to-steer method move closer together with each race. Eventually you cannot even boost because of this. This appears to be a common issue and I hope to see it addresses in a future patch. Even with this problem, this game easily deserves 4 stars. If they fix this I'll change my review to 5.

Great game still. This is a great game with 60fps gameplay. But in IOS 10 when i try to see achievements or leaderboards the game always crashes. I hope the developers update the game and fix this problem.

Pretty Good.. I think some of these other reviews are a little harsh. This is a good game and I would definitely recommend it. The controls, to me, seem fine. I have plenty of racing games, and although this one is less intense, it is probably one of my favorites. My only complaint is that it is very short. There are only nine tracks, and around 7 vehicles, so the game seems somewhat short. I could easily see this becoming a franchise though. Maybe add multiplayer to the game and other racers, as well as new and wider tracks. There should be more types of vehicles, and a wider customization selection. Until a sequel (or update, I would happily pay for either) comes out with a few of my suggestions, I don't think this game is 5 star worthy. Other than that though, I think it is very fun and definitely worthy of buying. The $.99 price is perfect for this game if you're looking for a distraction. The gameplay is quick and smooth and very noteworthy. I recommend to anyone. Very fun game.

Not as satisfying as I'd hoped. Well, I bought this because Need For Speed Most Wanted doesn't run on my firmware version. This game is pretty great too. My only complaint is the tilt controls. They're, how do I put this, terrible. I tilt it maybe 5 or 10 degrees... Nothing. Keeps going straight. Then, a couple more degrees and I turn as hard as possible. I literally could not stop crashing into the walls. That's why I buy racing games on my phone.. The tilt controls. Otherwise I'll buy them on my PC. I still like the game, but I'm just really hoping something can be done about the tilt. Till then, it's unfortunately going in my useless folder. Oh, on Need For Speed's game, tilt controls work fine on my iPhone btw.

So epic!!. This game is a absolute gem! I first got it because it looked a bit like the game Blur for consoles, and as it turns out, it's actually BETTER. This game is EASILY the fastest paced and intense racing game I've played period! The unique boost and weapon system is very cool too! Though it can get a little grinder getting upgrade points near the end, it is balanced really well. Also, all in app purchases are optional and can be earned in game except the gold paint which just gives you double XP! Overall I would recommend this to anyone, there are a TON of levels in this, just as much as a 30-60 dollar console game like Blur! Also, the graphics are incredible!! They are of the same fidelity as infinity blade and other extremely high quality games, and are actually dang close to what consoles can do, with the programming wizards at Pixelbite managing to make sure there's NO LAG, even on an iPhone 4! Overall, easy 5/5, and the best $3 you can spend in the App Store!!

Core gamer game. Precise and hardcore. Good skill game.. So, I've concluded the reviewers with negative comments regarding the physics and handling are casual gamers. This game is definitely not for the casual gamer. The controls, when using the left/right arrow control scheme, are extremely precise. I found myself playing this game for about 2 hours, and I had only completed 2 tracks, the reason being I kept retrying the tracks to improve my lap times. I was gaining both in game and personal experience the whole time. The main draw is the skill involved. Every time I completed a race, I knew I could get a better overall time, so I'd hit the retry button. Generally, the appeal of nailing a good track time has me constantly repeating the same track over and over again, and it doesn't get boring. I just recently played a session until my ipad shut down because I drained the batteries. Also noteworthy is the music, which is epic trance. Although I'm not really a trance guy, I prefer deep house and progressive house, I found the music extremely appealing. One of the tunes is currently stuck in my head. The music is purely epic, and it really adds to the atmosphere and the immersion. This game is immersive. The sound effects, the sense of speed, chaining polarity gates and getting turbo chains feels extremely rewarding and challenging. I recommend this game if you're a core gamer and you like futuristic skill based racers.

Sido. This game is a great work, with various play styles and modes, the latest being the addition of opponents and weaponry, te game just got a lot more fun. The IAP are not necessry at all, and are just a bonus/help for players which is another plus, im not sure if there is going to be a phase four, but i sure hope so, because this game has been a killer since it was first created. Developer(s), top game, excellent work :)

Bugs still. Great game, graphics and smile controls. However, there are still bugs. In the Downtown track, there's a "red" gate that's actually the color green. There appear to be two green gates, one after the other, but the second is actually red if you go through it. Needs to be a local wifi, Bluetooth race mode and an online race mode. Adding a ghost option to timed tracked would be nice to see, too. -Coming from the 1st ranked race time in the Neon Hill track, 1:48:95 currently.

A near-perfect AG racer for iOS. This game has come a long way, and has met and exceeded many of my original complaints. The music is all excellent, as well as the graphics - the game always plays smoothly. It has captured the feel of high-speed racing very well. The polarity mechanic works well, though it could use a few tweaks. However, it is not without fault. While the addition of AI opponents is nice, the weapons mechanic feels rather automated and mostly just ties into the toolkit-collection system. This leads to my biggest complaint: In-app purchases. Luckily they're not too intrusive so far, but the devs should watch out here. Overall for the price, this is an excellent game and I recommend it to anyone who loved WipEout as well.

Repulze Rocks. Repulze reminds me of the Nintendo game, "F-Zero". It's a fast paced racing game except you're not racing other players, and the developers of this game (Pixelbite), make some other great games as well. In Repulze you are tasked with piloting your hovercraft through red and green gates, gaining speed bonuses for hitting the right gates and being penalized by losing momentum when you hit the wrong gate. Graphics are amazing, but that alone doesn't make a great game. Repulze also combines excellent controls with a smooth frame rate. There are 3 phases of the game to play giving you plenty of content. If you're looking for a sleek, futuristic racing game, Repulze is it. There are no IAP's in this game. It does offer 1 hovercraft for sale in the shop for $4.99, if your inclined to spend some money.

Great start. This game is a delight to play (after a short learning curve of corse). Beautiful, fast, and challenging. It does have bugs (controls, for instance, start moving to the middle after a while, making controlling the craft hard) and content is a bit scarce right now. But, it is a great start and I am going to give the game 5 stars.

Controls :(. The controls need work.. They don't respond to a simple tap you have to hold for a sec before it moves, this really needs fixed please! I'm on the 2nd track and have done raced the track 100 times because you have to race near a perfect game without hitting anything to get close to winning the time challenge. Now the good stuff, this is an amazing game! First thing I thought of was F-Zero :).. Great graphics and I even dig the music! It really is a great game for a great price! • Fix controls to make it better for tapping and I'll 5 star ya ;)

WipEout. Edit: Game went downhill with subsequent updates adding micro-transactions. It's also unfortunate that vehicles are for the most part direct upgrades and not sidegrades so there is little point in trying out different ships (just use the one with the best stats) unlike WipEout. Lastly it would have been much better if you could choose pure time trial or race on each track. I could look past all this however if not for the retroactive microtransactions. I was going to buy pixelbite's newest game but now I'm worried about shady retroactive microtransactions =/ Edit: haha, just looked at some of the other reviews. The controls took me one race to get used to. It's YOU, not the controls. Probably not wipeout or fzero fans. I do think a lower speed class should be added for people like you guys who are new to the genre and need a more gradual difficulty curve. ------------------------ This is precisely how the time trial portion of WipEout on iOS should be done. Well worth the $1 (worth more than that actually). A cautionary note, there is only one speed difficulty so if you don't think you can handle high speed racing, don't bother with this. It won't be fun for you. Updates are planned and hopefully the game is expanded to include races and other modes, but for now the $1 is still excellent value for what is here. If race mode and more is added this app would be well worth $5-$10 if the quality is as good.

Best iPad game? Best ANYTHING game.. For the past three years, I've been enjoying iPad games, but every time felt like it was a diminished experience from a console. Repulze is the first game I've played that is better than a console game. Once you're familiar with the game, turn on the "bonnet" camera and the "slide" steering. It's incredible. Especially on an iPad- you've never played a game that filled your view this much. I had a projector with a 90" screen. The iPad held comfortably is larger. It's crazy how immersive this feels. And with retina graphics, it's just gorgeous. The new steering is incredible. It's the most sensitive, tightest control I've ever felt in a racing game. It's like a mind-control meld. You're not ever ever fighting the controls. You're just flowing through the tracks. Which are incredible. The level design is completely devious- corkscrews, jumps, and now power ups? It's past AAA console quality. The addition of the colored boost gates is really the biggest innovation. It's way more fun than racing against computer controlled opponents. It gives you extra objectives and different motivations on each track. One knock? The difficulty. The goal times are impossible! Ad yet the leader boards show it can be done. Well made, pixel bite. I'd pay $50 for this game.

Awesome WipeOut Clone!!!. Don't listen to all those that complain about the controls, the are too used to easy games that require no challenge. The controls are perfect, if they made them super responsive then this game would be extremely easy and those that complained about controls would be complaining about the difficulty level. If you complain about these controls then you wouldn't last 2 seconds on the first few Wipeout games. These controls are meant to be mastered, not just play a few times and you are the best at this, where is the fun in that? Oh and don't listen to the fool that says this game is like f-zero, the guy sees futuristic hoverracing and automatically thinks it's the same. It's not like that, if this is like f-zero, then super mario is the same as contra... lol Some people are so dumb, anyway the only game it resembles is WipEOut and it's clones (like xtreme g.) For those that complain about lack of other people to race against, keep this in mind, it might become too much like wipeout if they do that which could leave them open for a lawsuit and this game becoming unavailable. Take it as it is, the closest we have to Wip3out and an excellent clone at that.

Repulze. When this was first released, I absolutely loved the way it was presented. A time trial racing game with some incredible track designs, mechanics, graphics, and very tight controls. It was all about learning the tracks and besting your own, and your friends, times, while unlocking new vehicles and upgrades. Now, after multiple updates, the game is truley a gem. The first phase was the original base game. While they always said more content was coming, with the AppStore, that doesn't always happen. The second phase added more mechanics and the third added enemies and weapons, all while keeping the core 'beat the fastest time' drive behind it all. While some may have wanted another Wipeout clone but I was very happy that they stuck with the trails type gameplay. Repulze very quickly became (and has stayed) my favorite racer in the AppStore, trials or not, I'd choose it over NFS, over Sonic, over any Asphalt title, Real Racing, CSR... IMO, it is absolutely in the conversation for 'best of the best' racing game on the iOS. Pixelbite is almost always awesome, but they made a real gem here.

Pretty good for iOS. It's a great game overall but I have one thing that is really bugging me. There are only two camera modes which consist of standard (looking at the rear of the vehicle) and bonnet (the vehicle is not visible at all). There needs to be a third camera view that show the nose of the vehicle. Personally, this would make steering way more precise. Also... PLEASE ADD MULTIPLAYER. Almost forgot.. if this game could cross over to the PS Vita it would be much appreciated :) it has already been done with jet pack joyride.

Needs more support to be a patible with Mac mini. It needs some upgrading in order to be fully patible with Mac mini please and thank you

Awesome!. This is a great little game. I really dig it a lot. Sometimes you just want to "race" and not have it be all complicated and in depth. This is pretty straight forward with super easy controls. You race against the clock and avoid traffic and barriers. It's got just the right amount of challenge. Not every game needs to have opponents or explosions. Though I would like to see more challenges and tracks.

Fun game. Fun little racing game. Yeah there are no other racers but the gameplay is tight and the graphics are nice. I already finished all the challenges and have had no problems with the controls but thanks for the update and listening to the feedback. My only complaint is that sometimes I don't hit the left button right on and it will make me boost, maybe just make the center of the screen boost. Small complaint really , I quite enjoyed this game. People giving it low scores are really being unfair. I got a fun racing game for a dollar with NO IAPs! Looking forward to more updates.

One of the best games I've ever played. This game is one of the very few apps I keep this game is a L about challenging yourself I find myself so caught up in it that my heat rate is plucking it really drags u into it now I've read the reviews saying its hard but let's face it no game would be fun without a challenge if ur looking to buy this go for it I can't believe that it's at the bottom of the App Store I've seen way worse games be at the top

fun, fast, wipeout-esque game. This game is very reminiscent of the classic wipeout games on ps1. The controls take a little getting used to but that's mainly because the racing is very fast paced. It's been awhile since I enjoyed an iOS racer as much as this one. Runs well even on older devices like my ipad 1 and iphone 4, and looks quite nice. Also, a major plus for iphone 4 users is the ability to switch off retina graphics for a boost in smoothness. I wish more devs would do this! Definitely worth a look for fans of this genre!

Very fun game to play!. I really enjoy Repulze. Everything about it looks really cool, in my opinion. It's a challenge to play this game because of how hard the vehicles are to control. For how fast they are, they're very sensitive to any movement. I was constantly crashing, BUT practice makes perfect! The more I played this game, the more I was able to improve and learn how to maneuver the vehicle. Without this challenge, I think the game would be way to easy. I will consider this game a five-star game when they add real racing against other players.

It should be better. Its the closest the Wipeout Ive seen on iOS since AG Drive got pulled. Everything about the game is pretty great, except for one game mechanic: The Red and Green Polarity gates. Its an interesting idea for maybe one or two tracks, but for every track in order to gain boost, its annoying and takes away the point of games like Wipeout or Podracer, and thats to go fast. The polarity mechanic makes it feel more like an obstacle course, and not a course that takes skill and precision to get through. Fun for a few levels, but after a while I want something about speed and precision, and not hitting or avoiding gates.

Awesome, but ... The graphics are just amazing for an iOS game and it runs smooth 100% of the time. I guess the controls could be better/tighter, but it's not as bad as some ppl make it out to be (at least IMO; playing on iPad 4th gen; it would certainly help with those achievement of 3 collisions max ... I have run perfect laps, but I always screw at some point and mess it up). The only thing missing and I really hope the add it down the line it's racing against AI with some sort of combat/weapons system like in WipeOut/QuantumRedShift/MarioKart.

Good graphics horrible gameplay!!!. Appart from the good graphics the gameplay is awful there should be actual races. It gets boring after a while there's only a few tracks and the tracks themselves are way too narrow it's hard to control the vehicle weather you use touch or movement steering. The achievements are too hard overall the gameplay is just running tracks over and over again gets boring fast. This was a great idea but seems like they just failed I do not regret buying this but they defenetly need to add actual Racing with other vehicles or people online more vehicles more customization and it would be a great game.

Keep going!!!. This is fantastic! I'd like to see 1 more computer in phase 3 and a brake button. Also would like to play online multiplayer with others. Repulze is an amazing game and only has improving potential. If an online multiplayer is added they can't go much further, the game is complete!

Read my review about this.... This game is way too awesome! The enviorments are breath taking, the graphics are doable, the racing is very addictive (you can tell because i played to 6:34am playing this) the controls are useable, With every new patch, there will be a new content pack (comes free i hope) and the feel of the futuristic tracks make you want to play more! Its fast, its not quite like wipeout but its still a really cool game. I definetly recommend this game especially for the price :D

Fantastic game, lousy music. Super fun racer, love the polarity mechanic. Would love to race against other CPU controlled racers. I think for screen real estate, 3 other opponents would be ideal. Spot on controls, with the exception of the boost. I never seem to notice the current onscreen cue for the boost. Maybe something more clear? Needs way better music with more personality. Right now it's just mindless, generic techno garbage. Think of F-Zero...that might get the ball rolling in the music department. This game has great graphics too. Just needs some tweaks to make its personality shine. It's so close to being a great race game! Thanks so much!

Great start!. This app has been around for only a month (as of January '13), and yes there aren't computers to race against, and yes the controls aren't the best, but it's still a very fun time-waster with incredible graphics. I have no doubt in my mind that the app will get better as time goes on, so far it's a great start and definitely worth 99 cents. Haters can hate, I love this game.

Repulze is an excellent title and I'm waiting for more. Repulze in its current state is well worth the asking price, it's wipeout for iPad. The polarity system adds depth that you learn to appreciate. You need to use it to speed up and sometimes slow down early on. I would gladly pay for Phase 4 or at least more content. I think $1 for 2 tracks is a reasonable price and I would pay for all of it. I would love to give the developer more money through the in-app-purchases but I feel it would encourage more of that behavior in freemium gaming.

How is this an iTunes "Editor's Choice"?. I was immediately intrigued by this fame since it looks a lot like F-Zero. Plus it was listed as the iPhone App Store Editor's Choice. So, I figured why not pick it up? Don't. At least not until they update the controls. The default are two touch arrows (Left/Right) which aren't great, but sadly they are better than the tilt control (set in options) which felt be labored and sluggish even at 100% sensitivity. The graphics look pretty decent on the iPad, and gameplay was smooth. The music wasn't too shabby either. But sadly I didn't ally get to enjoy much of it as I didn't really make it beyond 4 races. That's all I could stomach given the controls. If the developers update the controls, I'll be happy to give it another go and reconsider my review. Until then, I have to stick with my 2 star rating.

Love the app, has 1 major problem. Just got the app 2 days ago, and I really like it. It challenges you to do the course perfectly, and for everyone who says it's too hard, it's not. The one major problem that I found was when the course says its "locked and you need X amount of levels to unlock" you can still play the levels. That's something that the developers should look at.

Don't be fooled by these negative reviews!!. I'm genuinely confused by the less-than -favorable reviews this game has. Here is the truth from an above average gamer and CS student: The graphics are some of the best I've seen on iOS, hands down. The gameplay is silky smooth, and it had better be...you're required to make lightning fast decisions. The controls work very well. They're fluid, responsive, and well-placed. But they are also the source of my only real complaint. On my iPhone 5, the L/R buttons move closer to each other with every race I play. If I restart the game, they go back to their correct positions. Also, I would love to see a dedicated boost button. Besides these small technical issues that will no doubt be fixed soon, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Repulze. I've been hooked on the game for the past week or so and I've read that the devs plan on adding more content soon! TLDR; The game rocks. Yes it's time-trials for now but it is no less exciting for not having multiplayer. Besides one very minor UI bug, this game is polished, fun, and full of content to unlock. Worth every penny.

Repulze is awesome. This game is great. Controls on my I touch fourth gen is fine and graphics are great, I only have two complaints about the app. The music is a little lousy but is still decent. I also think that you should have the option for tilt and touch controls as touch is all that is currently avalible.

Extent. This game is far the best game I have played on the iOS systems This game reminds me of Repulse for the play station portable The game needs minor fixes to the bugs but there is no problem with the gyro control system I don't know about the arrows. There needs to be more advanced tracks and AI racers 9 others would make this game go even further

Not what I was expecting. This isn't a time trial hovercraft racer, it's more of an endless runner like Temple Run. Contrary to what Spiral said, you can adjust turning sensitivity with the buttons, but it never feels quite right. Your car drifts slowly in one direction for the first second you hold down the button, then jolts to the side. Same with tilt; it's like there's a huge deadzone, then BAM! It could be that sensitive if it were consistent across the turning radius, but instead it works very strangely. Fix the turning and it might be fun.

focus on _fun_. Sensation of speed is excellent, and actually racing on the tracks is in itself plenty of fun. The polarity gate chains to boost you take memorization and effectively make each course an intricate slalom, but it keeps you on your toes without feeling too punitive, and the reward of super speed is worth it. My favorite track, Mars Industries, has a tunnel you can ride 360 degrees in, with gates to catch on the ceiling and walls! I love that part! I wish no other cars were on the track so I could just relax into the groove. Some tracks make collision arches hard to distinguish because their edges blend into the track, and the way there's 2 sets of marker lines, one on the track the other up the sides a little, makes gauging where the actual corner where the track stops and the sides start hard to gauge. Some tracks have complex patterns on their floor the same color as gates which makes them extremely difficult to see, especially on iPod Touch (mine's 5th gen) going fast like you're supposed to. I wish there was a power-up to temporarily adapt you to whichever polarity you hit. Updates are free, so no IAP worries! This game is well worth the money.

Great game but.... Repulze is an amazing game, it deserves a 3.5 because it feels like an unfinished product. It lacks any opponents. Assuming since this game was just released it will be added through an update. Buyer be warned that this for now is all time trial based racing. Another thing is if the developers could throw in a multiplayer be online or even just head to head would make this game one of the most solid purchases on the App Store. Great effort by the studio, Repulze has a great amount of potential.

Awesome game. This is one of the best iOS and racing game I've ever played and I'm not a huge fan of racing games. Also has lots of potential. To make this game even better they should make online multiplayer racing also being able to create tracks with a template would also be a great idea.

Needs update. I want to love this game like I do with this devs other titles but as far as playability on an iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 11, it’s not very good. The resolution is terrible and tapping is not calibrated. I have to tap just below what I actually want to select. Please fix soon!

One of the best games out there. I have been playing the game since it first came out, and love it. For those buying it, there are 3 level packs, called phases. The first phase is purely time trial levels, and consists of 9 different tracks. You can race against the ghost of your fastest time. The second phase consists of 7 more races. This phase is also only ghost races. The third phase consists of 8 tracks. This phase includes AI opponents who you can both race and battle with a number of vehicle upgrades. Visually, the game is stunning. I find myself playing it just because of the amazing graphics. They feel smooth, and overall really nice. The gameplay is very hard to master, but very fun as well. Overall, I love the app. It is my favorite game.

Phase 3 is bonkers insane awesome. Phase 3 is downright fantastic. The new game mechanics work ridiculously well. I'm assuming eventually the game will be streamlined somewhat? It's great but seems like the devs are still trying things at the moment.

iCloud Support. Repulze is a great game that is quickly addictive and fun. Only suggestion I could make would be support for iCloud. Why? I play repulze on both my iPad and iPhone, and when I have to restart all levels and ranks on each device it is a little annoying. Be good to have iCloud support so I can have my progress synchronised between both devices. Then it will be a 5 star!

Below mediocre. The only reason i got this was because it was running at 60fps and i like racing games. But this game doesnt even worth the price in my opinion because there is nothing to it. Few ships and few tracks, either go through red or green gates to beat the time. Way too simple and way too boring.

Potential not yet achieved.. Basically, there are quite a few nice aspects to this game. The graphics and frame-rate are fine. The upgradable 'hovercraft' are pretty cool. But these good aspects are overwritten by an incredibly awful control scheme. Steering in this game feels very unnatural. Almost as if the steering works by 'changing lanes'. Which when cornering, makes it difficult to decide how much one should turn. One might find themselves bouncing from wall to wall on a straight, whilst trying to battle oversteering. If you're looking for the next wipeout style racer, keep looking.

AMAZING!. Amazing update that has made the game 100x better; buy it now! 1 bug i have noticed is when i level up i'm not getting my tool kit slots.

Good Game. Fun game, excellent for those who remember wipeout. I would have found it less annoying to pay more for the game and not have to pay additional tool box slots, it makes it feel like pay to play. But once you chip in the extra $ the rest of the game seems playable without extra $$$.

Where is fire starter? .. Prodigy? - GREAT UPDATE. Great game just getting more polished, great upgrades! A fast, fun antigrav racer, very wipeout esk. Small issue I noticed - In "Gravity Ring" if you miss the jump and crash into the pink river (to grab the toolkit) it will not reset you back far enough to make the jump so you end up continuously crashing with no fix other than to restart. Guess Its best to make the jump. Please phase3- weapons (LAZERS BIG FRIKIN LAZERS), multiplayer, time trials with no gates (just boosts per lap) and ...Prodigy

Racing bliss. Extremely addictive and great looking - Repulze is one of the best racers I've played on iOS, the developers seem dedicated to improving the game which is great to see. The improved steering has helped me immensely, I'm now getting the hardcore achievements :D

Brilliant. Great value for $. I got rid of my PSP a few years so I really miss Wipeout. But this is a good start. Good on iPhone but even better on iPad. Music really pumps too, just like Wipeout did. Would be good to have weapons, other boosts etc on a future update. Thanks. Keep it up.

Bad controls, boring gameplay. The pics look good in the description but the controls are incredibly jerky and the gameplay is just solo racing around the same track, really boring after the first race, not worth $1

Crashes. Crashes while racing in phase 3... 4 generation iTouch running iOS 6.0... I want to race other people too... So please fix this... And could there be a multiplayer section via bluetooth or whatever? (Its probably there but i cant see it so just putting it out there)

Great if you like wipeout without guns.. Good little game, smooth graphics, fast soundtrack and challenging achievements. Would be better with multiplayer and even a basic weapons system (weapons choice instead of turbos sometimes for example).

Needs weapons. I cant figure out how to shoot and theres no weapons to pick up and the other vehicles act as if your not on the track. Needs those improvements.. But feels very fast which is nice

Amazing Graphics. This game has BRILLIANT graphics! Please get rid of the 3 stars for each level because it makes it annoying that i cant completely finish the level without redoing it! Also it keeps crashing and thats annoying especially when i press the restart button during a race!

boring but has potential. this app is seriously upsetting.... at the moment. all it needs is other racers! litterally all you do is go around this track 5 times doing 1 loop each time. going through red or green walls. i spent some time looking to see if there was any other options. this game is rather depressing.

Steering. Hey! The game is pretty cool for it's early stages. I feel like the graphics have been anti-aliased more than most game which is nice to see less jaggies. The steering seems really "clicky" which is how I describe it. It steers more in tiny lane increments rather than smooth and natural. Pretty cool otherwise!

Add other racers.. It's all solo tracks. Add other racers so you can bump and ram each other at high speeds :)

Awesome/Suggestions. I bought this and enjoyed it. Could you put Other AI Racers into this and maybe some InApp Purchases for Premium HoverCraft to help fund the game, you could probably add a Multiplayer to this game, I think this game is awesome so far. Looking forward to more Updates

horrible controls. I personally don't know what's wrong... tried both onscreen and tilt control and there wasn't any improvement. Neither was the sensitivity controls any help... It kept either under steering me or over steering me. Call me weak, but the range between under and over steering seems too small that getting the right steer you need is near impossible no matter the sensitivity setting you set. On the other aspects, it seemed to be an ok game at the very least. I couldn't get any further due to the frustration of hitting the walls by under or over steering no matter how small the adjustment you make in your tilt or touch.

2 stars. Good graphic but the game is not fun. No brake, bad music, too much easy. Good for kids. Remind me wipeout without the fun factor.

Decent and Fast. Looks pretty good and after awhile the controls become second nature. Fun to pop out and play for bits at a time, fast loads too. Only con is no A.I. so your the only one racing around the tracks three times.

Hate racing games that stop dead when you collide. Sorry about the one star but on he first track on my first race I hit the entranceway to a tunnel then I bounce back to a full stop with n announcer going 3 2 1 and then i collide with the other side, repeat 3 more times. I get around the track then again collide with the same entranceway. Repeat until I hit exit and came on here to review. Nothing shoud ever come to a full sop unless you hit a building or wall but definitely not while you are the track.

Alright,. Score for that. It's fun and it's hard. 3 collisions only? When I try not to hit the walls, I get at least 8 collisions depending on the race. Seriously, this badge is insane! Keep it, I like it that way. The major problem is that every race looks just like the other one before. None of them are unique, I mean no jumps, no "secret passage" so don't expect anything special it's like: right, left, right, left. Also, the leaderboard is Imo, useless since soon all we will see is the same time for the ten first entries, it should be yours. However, even though there's still room for improvement (imo), for 0,99$ it's amazing. Get it right now!

Spectacular. Not only is the gameplay fast, intense, and super addictive, it also has quite possibly the best graphics of any iOS game. The colours and crispness are rare even for some console games. I absolutely love it. :D

Great game. Dangerously addicting. Fun, but some bugs still need to be worked out, when you level to 2nd engineer you earn a racer in which has the 2 arrows to steer much closer, this affects my boost and I can't use the boost, drives me nuts, fix that

Best iPad racer available. I love racing games and this is the first one to really provide a console experience for the iPad. Great tracks, challenging objectives and it distils what was great about games like Wipeout into a focused racing experience. There is no competition or other vehicles other than automated blockers that appear in some tracks so you can focus on mastering the track and getting your best time. This game is a total steal for the price. The first update fixed the touch steering sensitivity and made the game much easier to control.

great game with a brigth future if. devs add some features, its like a new f zero, i love the fact that there is no weapons, what i think it needs to be one of the best racers ever 1 different camera views 2 ai opponents on track 3 ship customization as in colors and designs make your own 4 track editor so we can share tracks online 5 online racing i would pay extra for all those features, i already love the game, its controls and its graphics, great job

It's A Start. The game looks great, the controls are okay. But we really need an option to change camera views, and races where you're actually racing someone.

Good, just needs minor tweak (set tilt sensitivity to 0). Fun, four star only because I prefer tilt steering, but tilt steering is more than 20x more sensitive than most racing games. Set tilt sensitivity to 0 percent, and tilt steering becomes a lot more fun and accurate on an ipad. Wish I could set even lower sensitivity.

Wipeout iOS. Wipeout used to be one of my favourite games, with its fast pace, fluid motion (once you stay clear of walls), and a pumping soundtrack. Repulse is for all intents a purposes a clone of Wipeout. About time! Graphics are polished, good controls (try tilt steering), and sound fx are decent. In future releases I'd like to see more music tracks, AI opponents, and multiplayer. But, even now, the gameplay is entertaining for short spurts of fast paced fun.

Brilliant!!! Best iOS racing game.. This is the perfect 'sequel' to Wipeout-it's just missing the name. The sense of speed is amazing, the (slide)controls are the best yet in an iOS racer, the visuals are sharp/bright and the tracks are alot of fun. HIGHLY recommended!

Fun Wipeout Clone. Not bad for $0.99! Controls are a little touchy, but if your used to Wipeout on the Playstation 1 you can handle the touch screen controls. Deffo worth a buy.

Amazing. I think this is a very fast unique game. It's hard to only get 3 or less crashes because you go so fast but overall I think it is a very good game! I would recommend it!

It's awesomely amazing. It's FAST!! You just go really fast, and the graphics are awesome. The music sounds pretty nice. Combat comes after a bit of gameplay, or you can unlock it early for a small price. If you can't enjoy just racing then it isn't a game for you, otherwise go for it!

Whoosh!. Super fast racer. Faster then something else or the other ... This what we would be driving if cars were invented by ninjas and not by horses. Racing against time. The purest form of racing the AI bots would only get in the way. P.S. Maybe add an ability to air brake by pressing both arrows.

Fantastic in every way except.... Objectives, fast action, dynamic tracks, this really has it all. My problem with it is the Stage 3 racing. Yes you can shoot others and they shoot you but in the end, you can really beat it by just spamming boost (which lasts long enough to get to the next boost charge).

Totally awesome game. Been waiting a long time for a game like this cause I'm a big fan of wipeout it would be cool if on the future updates ya'll add other racers with combat race items that would be so much fun too ;)

Quick fun. I'm not a huge racing game player but I'm really enjoying this. The sense of outrageous speed is well done and the progression through hovercrafts is solid. Definitely worth the 2 bucks

Can't believe this is on my phone. A full rich 3D racer game with tons to offer. Fluid controls, elegant interface. It's like a full PS3 game on my phone. I loved the Wipeout series but some of the last ones were hard to play, this game is actually better than most of the Wipeout titles. Bravo good sirs, bravo.

Phase 3. Maybe in phase 3 you could add a virtual joystick on one side only. Amazing game though that surprisingly takes up very little space.

Lots of fun. Really, really fast.. Slalom-based acceleration makes Repulze a unique racing experience. This game is fast! Keep hitting the color coded gates and your racer will keep accelerating. Sometimes the high speeds make it difficult to avoid crashing into raceway walls. There are no brakes, but hitting the wrong gate will do the trick. The tilt steering control mode seems to offer the most finely tuned control.

Don't be fooled. This is not a racing game. The objective of the game is to drive your horribly unresponsive "hovercraft" down a confusingly convoluted track, and hit either a red or green gate, depending on what color the game tells you. On occasion you will be rewarded with a slight boost to your speed. The game is repetitive, boring, pointless, and unoriginal. Even the only good part of the game, the well-rendered neon backgrounds, are unenjoyable because you pass by them so quickly. If you are looking for a racing game, Repulze is not for you. Save your money and see if the constant patches improve the game.

Reminds me of F-Zero. I absolutely love this game. It reminds me a lot of F-Zero on the SNES and N64 now even more with phase 3 coming out. The graphics are very nice, the control is solid, and it all works in good harmony. Totally worth your money.

Great game but one flaw. I have gotten to the rogue agent level so theoretically I should be able to hold twenty more toolkits or 40 kits but for some reason I still can only get 20 so I cannot upgrade the vehicles that require more than 20 to upgrade. Please fix!!!! Other than that, I'm hooked

The best iOS game, bar none.. Repulse stands up to the actual Wipeout games it pays homage to. The gameplay is actually rewarding and not tedious, and the 60fps gameplay stands apart from most others. Great work! WE WANT MORE!

Excellent game.. Works well. Great graphics and controls. Fairly simple play - mostly steering - but entertaining. Lots of levels. I like the fact that it does not pester or pressure one to make additional purchases. Looking forward to other products by developer.

Great fun, great controlles. This is the first mobile racing game that has me hooked! It is not as full of content as some of its competition but its fun factor is much higher. I cant wait for the next phase!

Needs work.. Graphics are fine, but you need opponents to make it more fun, to have some type of objective, instead of just free racing. The controls could use some work as well. Fix those two things and then you have yourself a great "Wipeout" like game, for the iPhone! :)

Has so much potential!. The game is a time trial with yourself and is a mediocre game that would be made better with a couple things. First, it needs a battle royale mode where four crafts with weapons fight in different areas. It also needs a racing mode with CPU racers. You should also be able to make your own tracks with certain templates.

Just got even better. I love the update, I love the new hover craft, and I love the new battle system. Now the question is, will there be more phases?

Good start, needs a lot of work!. Very fun game, i like the concept, but this one is like a beta version, it needs much work! + great graphic, but can be even better, smoother and retina! + nice interface and voice, but could have a better overview - steering! I needs much betters controls, the touch controls are not even remotly useable, and the tilt has a huge deadzone, and is very hard to get used to, and the senitivity makes ist worse anyhow i set it. Please look at the steering in real racing oder sky gamblers, thats perfect! I hope you improve this! Then you get 5 stars. Thanks

Fab!. I always loved Wipeout, so to see a similar game appear for the iPad was great. This is a lot of fun; I like the challenge based approach, it's a race against yourself, to see if you can better yourself each time you run. I look forward to seeing where the developer takes this game in the future.

Good, but can be better. Left right controls only, very limiting. Graphics, sound music are very good. Editors pick? Don't think so. Game has potential, needs an update for controls, and to be able to play against other player(s), then it would be awesome.

Needs just a bit more.... Its a great game but I wish it had a sensitivity adjustment for the left-roght turning buttons. I also wish you could unlock actual races. It would be a much better way to get XP to race against other AI ships

Really fantastic racing game.. This app offers a outstanding and special feeling of smooth and cool. Not like the other racing games which are normally focused on cars or motors, this game is like a scientific fiction and let you feel like you are a star-war hero.

Ehh. It was a great game dont get me wrong, but it needs a lot more tweaking on tilt steering! If you want to turn slightly you dont turn at all and of you turn it a little more than slightly and your slammed into the wall! The graphics were great and the idea of the game is awesome it just needs some more fine tuning to make it awesome.

It's ight.... Wish you could race actual people though cause those challenge things are kind of hard to complete. Another thing the boost button is unresponsive for some reason now.

Awesome. It's like playing F-Zero and Wipeout with a mix of Ikaruga (A game you may not know). The controls are fixed so well, and I think you guys should add multiplayer. This game has freaking potential. Haters can hate, but this game is awesome.

Repulze. REPULSIVE!!! I bought this because of your recommendation and immediately found it frustrating and horrendous to control the vehicle in turns. I adjusted the sensitivity over and over until deciding not to was any more of my day on a boring game with mediocre to lame graphics and repetitive game play. Excellent!!!. Awesome game. Closest thing to Wipeout I have seen yet. Don't know what some people are talking about with the controls, but they are fine. Different craft = different sensitivity. Looks great and the music works.

Has potential. Pros - 1. Stylistic and cool 2. Fun tracks 3. Inexpensive Cons - 1. Only 9 tracks, which are quite short 2. Funky puzzle/racing hybrid 3. Too punishing for a touch game Suggestions for dev - 1. Take out required puzzle-boost system and add manual boost 2. Add other CPU racers (at least two others) 3. More ways to earn badges I've been playing the game for a couple hours now and still trying to get past the second track. Should be more gameplay options for such an awesome premise.

Fantastic. Loved their other games (Reckless Racing) and gave this one a shot. Reminds me of Wipeout in some ways but this is its own identity too. Fluid frame rate, great music, easy to control. Great game!

Unused Potential. This game has so much potential but it goes to waste. Once you master it and unlock whatever you're satisfied with, you can't play online. I'm very disappointed I paid for a game that looks like a hardcore multiplayer but it turns out it's basically a bunch of time attacks and weak single player racing.

Needs iCloud sync. I don't have any issues with the controls on either iPhone 4S or iPad 3. I love WipEout style games so my brain is wired for the "drifty" control type. Graphics are stunning, gameplay is good. Needs more tracks, but all around very fun.

Wow. The game is great, but if you could ad a campaign mode with missions in the future kinduve like black ops 2 or mw3. It would be epic. And if you could also shoot when your race ing, EPIC!!!!!. Graphics, amazing. Great app. Oh and also you could switch from camping mode to race ing mode with CPUs or Bluetooth mulitplayer. Great game again!!!

It's been a while since I've seen controls this bad. I give this game three stars for nice visuals and for the fact that you can choose different control styles. Unfortunately, all of the control styles are awful. It either over-steers or under-steers, there is no middle ground.
