So fun!. Very fun game. More arcade-y style play than simulation, but thats just more fun. Variety of race styles (Race, Drift, Gymkhana) keep it fun for a long time. I've played throught twice already. Highly recommended!

Controls stop responding. The game looks pretty but gets frustrating quickly. The game runs very smoothly on my 6s, but then out of nowhere the turn buttons stop responding. At first I thought maybe it's just the game because I'm on certain terrain or skidding. I shrugged it off for a bit but after several more races there were clear times where I was on paved road, driving straight, then it just wouldn't even start turning. I even tried expanding the size of the touch screen controls, but it did not help. Just unplayable with this glitch. Too bad.

controls.... same as another reviewer, controls in tank mode, which i prefer need to have bigger and better touch area... other than that game is great! which is too bad, its unplayable for me.

Beast. I love this trilogy. I've beat the game and it's taking up space, so I got rid of it. If you add more tracks or game modes I will re install.

Play with control settings. This is a really great racing/drifting game. If you don’t like the controls then change them up there are a ton of configuration’s to accommodate everyone that isn’t too lazy to try. It feels like your on ice skates but learn to look ahead and drift around gloriously to your hearts content. U can’t just step on the gas here you have to flutter it a bit, yeah, I said FLUTTER the brakes or you’ll be flying off into water or worse just getting stuck with no where to go. The advice is free-take it or leave it, never said I was some professional or anything... I’d take it if I were U though cuz it looks like you’ll need it Greenie... Your Welcome. Best drift / rally game. From Reckless 1 to 3 I found these games amazing. Of course are arcade, but I haven’t found drifting/rally arcades this fun and competitive in any computer or console, from my first commodore 64 to my last xbox 360. I hope a Reckless 4 is release one day.

Awful Controls. This game is really fun, but I can only get through one game before I quit due to awful awful controls. Even with configuring the largest area for touch controls, the car does not respond. I would not recommend this game.

Great game!. I really like this game! It’s a lot of fun to play and I think it has a unique style. I much prefer the tilt steering to the buttons, and o highly recommend you change to tilt and it makes gameplay much better. I feel like the challenge is at a perfect level: it’s not too easy and it definitely isn’t impossible. Great game!

The Game Rocks. PixelBite is awesome. Many of their games are great btw. I own several. Old School - just play the game. No ads. Game returns to play almost instantly. And that’s on top of: Great graphics, great game play, great sound/music, great detail, fun all around.

Horrible. Worst racing game I've ever played. The controls are terrible, my car just spins out uncontrollably and settings do nothing to make it better. Even if it were a dynamite killer game, the money to play would change my mind. No problem though, delete solves it all.

Probably the best mobile racer out there. Let me tell you something, I’ve had an iPhone since the iPhone 4, and I used a iPod touch before that. I’ve played A LOT of games on them over the many years. Reckless Racing 3 takes the cake. Sure it’s a little dated now, and could certainly use some difficulty balancing, but overall this is an incredible games. Probably my all time favorite. I’ve actually come back to 3 different times to play through completely. All I ask is this - can you PLEASE bring us Reckless Racing 4??

Good Skidstorm Alternative. As someone who played Skidstorm many years ago when it was around, this is a ‘good’ comparison if you really enjoyed that game. There are aspects missing, and the controls feel a little different, but overall, this is still a fun experience!

Great arcade racer. Although this game has been around for a long time (released in 2014), I just got round to playing it. I remember with fondness playing the original Reckless Racing many years ago, and this has the same highly addictive qualities, with new Drift and Gymkhana modes added. Graphics are great and the game runs very smoothly on my 2018 iPad Pro. It’s also compatible with game controllers and I’ve been using the PS4 Dual Shock, which works great. I imagine the game would be a lot tougher with touch controls. At first I was a bit nonplussed by the varying difficulty. I would win a race easily, and then my next race I would get thrashed. It turns out the default difficulty is set to “dynamic”. Rather than the usual in-race “rubber-band” difficulty of a lot of racing games, here the difficulty is fixed for a race but is then adjusted for the next race depending how you performed. I preferred to set the difficulty myself to give me a consistent challenge. I found 85-90% was good for the Race and Drift modes, and I could go up to 100% for Gymkhana. I found both the Drift and Gymkhana modes to be a lot of fun, and a good break from the racing modes. In both you’re on your own, so you’re not at the mercy of crashes with other cars or leftover debris. Gymkhana’s a good test of driving skill, while in the Drift mode you can do some crazy drifting, swinging from corner-to-corner to rack up big scores. The racing gets really intense when you get up to the A-class cars with some great battles with the other drivers. It’s a pity there isn’t an online multiplayer mode as this would have been a lot of fun.

Wont even start. App doesn’t even begin to start for a $3 app you would imagine it would be my cellphone, well highly unlikely as its a brand new iPhone 8 plus, thats not even a week old. Its simply doesn’t work

Reckless but safe. Gets frustrating sometimes but it was worth the money. One of the best graphics games on the App Store. It’s very realistic with adjusting the gas and reverse on turn. It’s a lot of fun.

Reckless 3. I’ve had these game for years and it’s fun to play over and over again. For better controls use the steel series controller.

Game won’t even open. I’d love to be able to review this game , but after trying to open several times and after several attempts to get app support, I’ve got nothing but an app tab for three bucks. Very disappointed.

Who stopped the FUN. What a fun game but unfortunately the developer just forgot he evr made this game. I think last update was a year ago.

Reckless fun!. The touch controls aren’t bad, but without tactile feedback (button pressing) they can be, well, touchy. With some finesse and discipline keeping fingers where they need to be, the racing is enjoyably challenging and most importantly, fun. Taking lines to force the competition away is as enjoyable as the Ben-Hur action smashing into opponents to keep yourself on course while fending off challengers. I really should get an MFI controller to enjoy this wonderful racing game even more.

Always liked this series. This game is fun and addictive but the difficulty ramps up too quickly. Not a $ grab just gets tough but it keeps me wanting to win more and give reward for wins.

Excellent game. This is an excellent racing game but what it really needs is the inclusion of weapons and car combat. With that included this game would have been perfect!

Like racing at a friend's house. The game gives you the feeling like when you were a kid & went riding bikes at a friend's house. Invariably you'd get to racing with your friend and his buddies in their neighborhood. You were out-gunned from the very beginning, they knew the track, their bikes were set up for the track, they knew all there was to know, you on the other hand were off the cuff. This game recreates that feeling of hopelessness, never being able to get ahead & win a race, you quickly lose interest & move on. These days that "friend" I had in grade school never graduated & to the best of my knowledge his strung out on drugs these days. Let's hope the programmers of the "car wreck" of a game don't go down the same path, although I would lose sleep either way. Thank you programmers for reminding me WHY I don't spend any money in the app store anymore.

Game crashes in iOS 12 ???. The game crashes when i get out of the game and go to homescreen and after return to play then the game screen blinks and back to home screen and the game reset to begining. Please fix this i have an iPhone 7plus running iOS 12.3.1 . Conclusion : i can play but i can’t get out to home screen or multitasking or i lost the current game . Thanks .👍🏻

Love it!. The controls are fine, you just have to learn how to finesse them (i.e. you can't go pedal to the metal all the time). The graphics are great, game play is smooth. There is a lot of drifting, so learn how to let off the gas before turning, or using the side of an opponent's vehicle to keep from going off the track. I think it is a lot of fun. Great racing game!

A good move from 1 & 2. As a huge fan of 1&2, I'm happy with this one. Drifting and racing are perfect.

Why don't have online mode？ such as a big disappointment. They got online mode for us to against with real persons in reckless 1 and 2 which is a hugh attractive reason from me to brought this game。 but how come they don't have online mode in reckless 3？？？？？？

an average game.... at least it *was* 3-star, the fact that the devs thought an auto-panning camera would make the game more enjoyable says a lot about where their focus went! the tracks seem to be designed more to *hinder* you than to provide a sense of enjoyment - the fact that i have deleted this game after only 3 days should give you an idea of how rapidly unenjoyable the game became! but let's be a bit fair to the devs; they allowed customisable controls, but that didn't include map placement! perhaps they should just remove the map display altogether, since it's in an area one does not look at.. *ever!*

Wonderfull, but.... The graphics are AMAZING. But If possible can you make each map have a free play mode where you can drive where you want through the map.

Gymkhana B. The game is stuck at this level not showing the map correctly and always telling the wrong way and no guidance for the route . Fix this please.

Best game for car lovers. I love the game it’s just insanely amazing! My only complaint is that it hasn’t been having any updates and it could use some for example, people need more cars. We need more faster cars, more tracks to race on, more garage upgrades & options to sell cars that we no longer need in our own garage. Over the game could use some latest version update and have more sharp quality image. Hope you fix or small issues.

Reckless Racing 3. Absolutely amazing game ! The gameplay and the graphics are stunning !! It’s one f the best top down games I’ve ever played !! Definitely worth the money !!!!

Good but the same. I love the RR series and have bought and anticipated every one of the 3 games in the series. I don't think there are any racers that come close to the graphics and the feel of gameplay. However, although the graphics and the physics seemed better than in RR2, it felt as though the tracks themselves were poorly designed and the cars were unimaginative and boring. The tracks never let you really take advantage of the great drift like physics of RR which is its signature and this is even despite them having added a Drift mode!! The tracks look great and are technical but just are not very fun to drive and this let down the game for me even despite it being so much better in ALL other areas. Will look forward to RR4 ....or even better (but unlikely) ...an update with more tracks :D

The best.. After years of iPad gaming, this series is still my go-to time killer. Great physics, neat effects, rewarding racing. The details like tyre smoke and engine noise add a level of authenticity and the adaptive difficulty keeps it interesting. I highly recommend it.

Awkward. Solid game! iPhone 8 iOS 11.

Works great with MFi controller!. This is a good top down racing game that I used to play couple years back on my old iPad. Thought it’d give it another go to see if it worked ok with Gamevice controller. It’s now a GREAT top down racer with perfect handling for game controllers for some finesse drifting fun. The best in the genre, edging my former fav “Mini Motor Racing”. (Works with iOS 12.1.1 on iPad no issues there..)

Great mini car game. Great game to drop in and out of. I've owned for years and finished many times. Great mix of race, drift and gykana events. Would love them to do a number 4 which had more customising of the cars instead of just buying faster cars. Usual things like tyre upgrades, engine etc. But overall a great game to buy.

Very Average.. After many many years I finally paid up for a game and its junk. I thought this would be a modern version of the original but it's basically exactly the same. Also has extreme slow bitrate the screen flickers and makes my eyes hurt. Junk.

I Can't Play It. Hey Polarbit, I've been waiting for this game to come out for about 4 months and I was so excited when it came out today and paid the, $6.49 for it (after making sure it was compatible and it said IOS 6 or later and I have about IOS 6.1.3 on an iPod 4). After it had downloaded I started looking around the game it seemed good... Then I started a race and while it was loading it crashed. I tried to start the race again and it kept happening, I went on the App Store after it not loading and it said (at the bottom) in the description, requires iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPod 5 or later even though the IOS was compatible. Anyway I am very disappointed because RR2 was my favourite IOS game of all time and RR3 won't let me play so can you please make it compatible with iPod 4 please, Thanks. P.S. I wish you all the best with your new game.

Best of the mini style racers. One of my few favourites that's actually updated to work properly on iP6s. Great work guys👌🏼

Not bad... But.... For version 3 to be here and still have non analog style steering is a surprise (the wheel option still seems to respond the same as the left and right buttons). And still the tiny buttons that are all too easy to miss hit. Would love to see these improved. Apart from that visually stunning and fun. Option to buy tyres with better grip (or any grip for that matter) would be wonderful.

Worst of the Three. I have always enjoyed Reckless Racing, 1 & 2 being among my favourite mobile games. However his new entry in the series just takes a step backwards. Not only does the game have performance issues with a constant low frame rate but the tracks are bland and boring to drive around. It seems Pixelbite has gotten away from what made their games fun and instead focused on making their game look graphically better. Reckless Racing 3 isn't 'bad' but it is disappointing in comparison to the past games.

BRILLIANT. Excellent game. We need more muscle cars from the 70's , imagine having Eleanor from "Gone In 60 Seconds" or the car from "Mad Max". Get down, get dirty, get RECKLESS...

Lag on iPad Air. During all races, when a semi trailer appears on screen, the FPS drops immensely on an iPad Air.

Mr Sqwert. Artefacts left on iPad Air after exiting the game. Controller is now lagging when turning. turning sometimes doe snot work at all on controller.

Love this game. This game is a great reacer, specially enjoyable with a gamepad. I wish they released more games like this. A multiplayer mode, both local and online would be a game-changer

Great but iCloud save buggy. Great game, but switching between iPhone and iPad iCloud data it deletes the *newer* save. Settings allow you to switch on or off iCloud save but this keeps turning off for some reason. Otherwise lots of fun -- on one device.

Awesome but some control issues. I love this game but although it offered many different control schemes, I couldn't find one that gave me the precise control that I wanted (I'd often lose track of my thumb position and send the car careening off in the opposite direction I intended, which ruins the race). Thankfully it offers support for my new Steelseries Nimbus controller and now the controls are perfect and I've found a new love for the game. I look forward to playing number 4!

This is a long review, but in depth.. If you want to know if you should purchase this game, please read. I have about 5 hours played so far so I'll try and relay that experience to you. I'm going to start off by saying this is the same game as every other reckless racing. The handling and everything is still the same, and the only real difference is the addition of drift and gymkhana modes. (Which are pretty poorly done in my opinion. But I'll get to that in a second.) First of all, this is not a fun game if you want a challenge. There is "rubber-banding" of AI on extreme mode, as in during straights they will pass you even in the same car, but you can beat them on the turns. Then, in extreme mode, you are unable to injure the AI, but if they even touch you, it will drastically harm your performance. Secondly, the drifting. Oh god the drifting. If you want this game just for that or it is a big factor, you will be disappointed. I was excited to see a drift category in the game, however the cars in drift mode have no traction in the rear wheels, only the front. As in you can accelerate, but you can't use the gas to avoid a wall or something. You can steer to the point where you are backwards, and bring it back with little skill required, and you are able to brake, but still. I would enjoy seeing a little more traction for the rear wheels during a turn. As of now, the only way to avoid walls is to brake. It is actually worse than driving on ice. I'd say there is no friction underneath the rear wheels for drift mode. Gymkhana is similar as drift, but you get a little more traction in the rear wheels. Honestly, they should've used the same system for drift as they did for gymkhana. It feels like drifting an awd car, and respect for getting it right. Lastly, to the devs: PLEASE ADD CAR UPGRADES. I enjoy the looks of a car, but sometimes it's a little underpowered. Upgrades could allow for a much better game. Say you can add upgrades to the highest car in that level using in game currency, but you can't make that same car another class. I think that's fair and would be a simple addition. Overall, 2 stars for lack of upgrades and the drift issues. Other than that I'd say it's the exact same as every other reckless racing. Most of the maps are recycled through each category of race, so not much of a change in scenery between races/categories. Thanks.

Great game!. Playing the arcade mode alone is great fun without even considering all the other options in the game. I'm using a Steelseries Nimbus controller with it and the gaming experience is just awesome. Thanks to both companies for this accomplishment. It turns my iPad into a proper console racing experience.

Reckless 2 was way better. They added support for a game controller at the expense of a shameless money grab. Do yourself a favour and get Reckless 2. That was a way better game.

First 2 hours. Really fun. You have to set controls how you like which could take time tweaking but the default is surprisingly effective. The music is enjoyable and fits. Graphics and physics really are great. One thing I would prefer is text size options. The menus are made for good eyesight.

Needs work. This release is as good as the others but needs a few bugs fixed. One issue is in Career Mode I cannot race until a new vehicle is purchased but it does not recommend one. You end up buying vehicles and using all your money on ones you cannot use. I'd rate it more stars if it was not for this error.

Tricky at first, but so much fun!. As I indicated, this game is a bit difficult to get used to, the gyro sensitivity is way whack sometimes, BUT once you set everything up the way you like it, this game is great. I love drifting and rally cross, and this game brings the two together wonderfully! Could use a few more vehicles and vehicle options, but that's just nitpicking.

So far not so good. Played the first 8 races and so far I'm not impressed. Racetracks are glitchy and don't run smooth and makes for a frustrating racing experience. This is running on my ipad mini. I'm not sure what my processor is but if the game can't keep up then they shouldn't say it's compatible. Additionally the opponent cars WIGGLE on the track and not only is this annoying and stupid, but distracting as well. If I wanted to race wiggly piggies I'd download some angry birds cutesy crap. I want my $3 back for this and that reckless getaway crud that came out a while back. I wish I wasn't such a sucker for top down racers but looks like I'm stuck with Horror Racing for now. Played the drift and gymkhana modes and enjoyed them, however gravely absent in RR3 is the ability to upgrade cars. Sticking with 2 stars, hoping some of this gets fixed as this has a potential to be a five-star top down racer. RR2 is still dope though. Played some more because I want to try to get the most of my $3 but the fact the second you touch a wall or bump into another car and your car rolls and rolls and rolls... This in addition to the stutter crud frame rate really makes this game unplayable. Tried to go back to RR2 because that one really is fun but that one crashes every 15 seconds into a race. Nice try Pixelbite, but you need to go back to the drawingboard

Welcome back. One of my favorite game series to play on the subway. The length of the races are perfect for picking up and playing for a few minutes, graphics look great, environments are varied, and you get a real sense of speed which is hard to pull off in top down racing games. Great job!

Nice racing game. The game is really nice and better than its proceeders. However, it does take time to get used to the controls or once you find out what works for you. Once you get used to it, the game is amazing. It is really fun and highly addicting. After all, this is reckless racing we are talking about.

5 stars. Unique gameplay, simple graphic design but it looks comfortable and I will have a feeling of "give-it-a-try". There are many routes and vehicles. It's never getting boring as I have many choices such as game modes and routes, and because the game is quite interesting!

Falls short of the first 2. Sad that you can't upgrade ANYTHING on the cars. So you just play until you can afford a new car in a new class then race some more. Or buy a new car in the same class and beat everyone. Woo. The sliding in this one is way different than the first 2. It doesn't just feel like you're off-road, it feels like you're on ice.

My favorite series.. I have all 3 games and this one is just as great. My one request would be to add a course editor. You already have the big maps. We should be able to set waypoints to make our own tracks. And I'm still giving it 5 stars as my one complaint is a personal preference. The cars are in this game don't appeal to me. I loved most of the cars in 1 and 2. Would love some more cars in IAP.

Hello. Where the sound

Buy it!. I bought this game for two reasons. One, it's optimized for the 6 plus resolution. Two, it supports game controllers. I'm very impressed with the gameplay and the graphic quality is amazing. Give it a shot!

What's up with the physics?. Amazing game, has great graphics good drifting physics but all the cars seem to be weightless, I was in the first car that you get for racing and flipped a semi. Then barrels seem to be the thing that weighs more then 500 pounds because everything else you run into is really light but the barrels are always slowing you down for no reason. Then my other car which was the van randomly flipped over from another can that just nudged me.

The best racing series, bar none!. I waited and hoped that #3 would come out and was so excited to see they finally made it! I love all 3 games and this one is pretty amazing again. I like it that you just play the cars and trucks as is and not have to add upgrades. The different types of vehicles make this game special. Every vehicle is cool and each one drives different. The larger trucks may not be as fast but can push other cars around as if they actually do weigh more. Love all the tracks you guys created and all the stuff the cars run into and push around. Everything seems so real and accurate except the cars don't actually get dented in. But the tires squealing, the dirt flying and the bumping noises all make for a fun time. Love the new mode where you need to be real careful about touching objects to get the best score. Again, a great racing game to be enjoyed by all ages, even this 62 year old. Thank you guys!

I love this game. Everything about this game is fantastic. I love the graphics, how smooth it runs on my iPhone 6. Very, very fun to play!! One thing though. My iPhone gets burning hot when I play, I don't like that. It's crazy hot haha! But other than that it's great! Definitely worth the purchase.

Great racing game. Those who are complaining let me say this, you have not played this game long enough. It's one of my fav racing game, beautiful graphics and easy to play. Instead of complaining learn to play. Tip one, Drift a lot to earn money easily. There are a lot of us who would support developers like this one who is not greedy at all like many out there such as the big names from EA to Gameloft to Sega to ? You can easily earn by drifting a lot and instead of tedious upgrading cars after cars, one tap lets you buy cars and controls to choose from and added new camera makes playing game even more fun. I know for sure, many of us are willing to help this developer with more maps you can purchase through IAPs and also a longer maps would be great. Learn to play games and help developers instead of using free games that eat your wallet. get it this game, n give it some time, learn to drift, race. Once you get the hang of it, this will be one of your best racing games on iOS.

Love the game, just runs a little choppy.... First off I would like to say that I love this game so far... Seems like they blended elements of RR 1 & 2 which are both exceptional. My only complaint is that the game runs pretty choppy most of the time on my iPhone 5c. It kind of goes in and out, but it's enough to seriously affect the gameplay. It also makes my phone get pretty hot. Please fix this Pixelbite! I love this series, and I really want to be able to play this one! Best top down RACER. I have Reckless Racing 1 & 2 but this one is the best. They have managed to take their experience and catapult the game to next level. Everything about the game is better and fun with more levels and play styles. Wish there was a level editor and bumper view :) *** They Fixed the bugs like I know they would. I was not worried for a second. Polarbit always takes care of their customers.

Over all very good.. This is a good game with nice graphics, customizations on cars(Paints and rims), car prices, and a variety of cars and races. I don't thing that upgrading your car is an option in this game, which is nice because you don't need to throw away money for tiny tweaks in performance. The only thing I am disappointed with is the fact that there is not a tilt steering option, but the other options for steering are very usable.

Decent game. Reckless three is the first game of the series I've tried. Controls are really difficult to handle at first, but when I got used to them, the game became alright. The graphics are nice and clear too. And also, when the game says drift, it really means the car drifts. The career mode reminds me of other racing games I've played, nothing new. You win races, get prize money, etc etc. Overall, this game wasn't too bad, but isn't my favorite game either.

Enjoying Very Much!. Hmmmm. I don't quite understand the negative reviews. I'm enjoying this version as much as the first 2. I'm thrilled about games that offer in app purchases, but as far as gameplay goes, I think it lives up to, and in some cases, is an improvement over its predecessors.

Great graphics, but everything else is worse. This was a great franchise. While the graphics have improved, nearly every other aspect of gameplay has gone downhill. Even the music that plays while in the garage is awful. The physics are bad, and the in game noises are now watch beeps. Even the screen changes seem clunky. It's like some individual developer made a new game and did the best with parts they didn't have skills for. Did pixel bite fire all but one guy? Did they get some lame new producer? This kind of backwards evolution just doesn't happen on its own!

A step backwards 👎. This used to be one of my favorite racing games but this latest version just isn't as good a the previous version. RR2 was awesome! I loved the cars and customization options but that has all been lost in the version. Why in the world would you not only include fewer (& IMHO inferior) cars but remove the car upgrades, customizations, mods, etc?! It makes no sense! This version should've been RR2 while the previous version should've been RR3 since it's way ahead in every facet. I can only guess that somebody was asleep at the wheel while developing this version. I'm disappointed in this version especially since I was expecting a better version of RR2 but that's not the case. Fingers crossed whoever is responsible for this failure won't be involved in developing Reckless Racing 4. 😵

Cars on ice, it should be called. No way to upgrade/help cars drive better, forced to buy a car I don't won't for more performance. A semi?! Some of the cars are the same(ish) from last round. And so far, similar to the second release, there is no way to repeat a race without completing the whole set; meaning if you like a certain track, don't complete the race, you cannot run it again until you go through the whole set. It's fun, but wish I would have waited for a sale. Do miss the stadium truck, also.

Awesome!!. I've been playing this game for one hour. And just here to say this game is awesome! Not only its racing but the graphics too. Although there's no way to upgrade your cars for driving better,for those who new to this game it's not hard to control. And can't wait to play it again!

Best game ever!!!. No doubt this is one of the best games on the App Store. I'm a big fan of the Reckless Racing franchise and have been waiting for this sequel. Love the graphics and the new racing modes. Best of all, it's fully optimized for the beautiful 5.5 inch screen on my iPhone 6 Plus. The developers are smart. They kept the size of the cars almost the same on all device, but players can see a lot more of the environment on the bigger screens. This, as you can imagine, makes the gameplay so much more engaging and enjoyable on the iPhone 6 Plus. Every game developer should adopt this approach, in my view. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Falls short in so many ways. The basics of the game are good in terms of graphics and smoothness of play. But there are a lot of shortcomings. This game requires that you tap your fingers in various areas during game play to control the car. On the right of the screen are two distinct areas for forward and reverse and on the left are two distinct areas that control turning left or right. If you miss the area, you don't get the intended control change. If this were on a console with a tactile controller, there would be no issue. Since you have to keep your focus on the game play, you have to rely on "feel" for where to place your fingers for the controls you need. And, on a touch screen device, there's nothing to help guide your fingers. I'm constantly missing the left or right turn control and VERY frequently messing up forward and reverse. It makes game play with some cars/courses much harder than it should be. You earn "money" as you compete and then you get to spend that money. Your choices are to buy worthless custom options for the cars you already own (like a different color paint) or buy new cars. There is no option to modify the car with performance upgrades like every other similar game would offer. The worst part of not being able to upgrade existing cars is that some of the very expensive cars are actually pretty poor performers when it comes to many of the courses you're allowed to run them on. Performance upgrades would allow you to overcome this. The game could be really good. Instead it's very below average.

Exhilarating game !. How did I not know of this game ? It is so fun to play ! The third person view is amazing and so engaging. It was really had for me to get the physics of this game to my head but I'm glad that I did. This game will keep you hooked on to it. Best of the reckless racing series !

Better play on iPad. I love the drift mode so much! It's fun and challenging. Besides, playing RR3 by using iPad is easier to play than using iPhone as the screen is bigger so it'd be easier to control. I think it's better to play this game on iPad.

Awesome... BUT... This game is amazing and better then it's predecessors no doubt. The tracks and cars are gorgeous not to mention the subtle effects such as sky/cloud reflections in puddles. The physics are improved and it's awesome to cones and such go flying after you hit it. Only two things bring an otherwise 5-star game down to a 4-star game. 1) NO MULTIPLAYER?!?!!! 2) in arcade mode it just shows the car only, it would be nice to know which car it is for purchase later.. Now I'm going through the garage trying match by body style.. It's a easily missed but stupid flaw.

Iphone 6 plus. Some racing games feature "rubber banding", "slingshotting", or "elastic" gameplay where the AI behind you is given a speed boost and the AI in front of you is given a speed reduction so that the races feel more thrilling because everyone remains even throughout. In case you are wondering, this game does not seem to feature that mechanic, and the game is fair, which I greatly prefer. Otherwise it runs smoothly and plays well. My preferred control method is the Tank option.

Good stuff. I have a suggestion. There is a great love for dirt track racing in this country and something like this game model coupled with Sprint cars and late models with several different style dirt ovals would be amazing and you would make bank. Would love to see it happen

Too different from predecessor. I was hoping this would be like Reckless Racing 2 with new tracks, cars and some improvements. Instead the car upgrades are gone and I didn't feel a sense of progression. I love pixelbite and RR1 and 2. Hopefully they can add the car upgrades to this game or go back to more of a RR 2 framework in their next racing game. That is the best iPad racing game! I still play it to this day. Overall I have faith in pixelbite.

Good, but a little glitchy. I love the "Reckless Racing" series, since the first one. This one is even better than the last...except for one thing. Occasionally my car lets off the gas or stops turning while I'm still holding the button. This game is easily worth 5 stars if you fix the bug.

Best control setting. One of the best racing games on ios, i found the default controls the best, just moved them a little bit closer and made them a bit smaller. Best steering wheel setting at 82. The drift mechanics are almost perfect, just wish they had more cars, more sports and exotic cars would be appreciated other than that this is simply an A grade game. Enjoy!!!

Physics engine changes make it less fun. After playing RR2 for over a year, I expected similar control. Not the case. It's a lot different. Hit a barrel and flip? In a semi? I don't think so, Tim. The new maps are also really hard to navigate. They're too open and full of little snags. It's like the game designers tried to add as many 'gotchas' as they could. The green drive line is also hard to see making it even harder to learn the tracks. I don't get it. It's a beautiful game but they kinda took a step backward in gameplay.

Best racer. RR fans won't be disappointed; it is by far their best yet. Graphics and controls are a 5 out of 5! The one drawback is that you can't upgrade your car and have it advance its class like we use to in the other two games. Love the new precision and drift campaigns they added! Def needs more cars! Great start to this game, looking fwd to the updates!

Huge letdown. After reading other reviews that said it was better than the other two i eagerly downloaded the game. The other two reckless racing games were some of my favorite ios games. After playing this game for a couple hours i realized how much worse it is than the other two. Would not recommend. Controls are bad along with you cant upgrade your car. Theres only 16 cars for racing now. Its also very laggy.

Just might be the best racing game on the App Store. Reckless Racing 3 has just the right amount of complexity for a tablet/phone game without trying to be something that it's not. The game runs great and has physics that really lend themselves to the fun without being chaotic. There is tons of things to do including online and local multiplayer if you want it. The touch controls can take some tuning but thankfully the game has the options to let you Taylor it to your tastes. Sure there are in-app purchases but you don't need them and the game doesn't pester you to spend money on them, or invite your friends to play, like many games do. Play the game on iPad if you can as it can be a little hard to see everything you want to on the smaller iPhones.

Reckless Racing 1 was much much better. The first installment of the Wreckless Racing was an extremely fun game, but as each new one comes out it loses more and more of what made the original such fun. Yes the graphics have gotten better but that is about it. Game play and physics are not near as fun as the first game was. Everything in the 1st WR was so put together and everything tied into each other, even the music. Now this is just a game with a little car on a track. It has no competitive advantage. Wreckless Racing has lost all of it character.

Terrific. Greatest game I’ve ever played ever

Almost as fun as its predecessors. Loved the pervious two games. Love love loved them. And after gladly paying $3 for the game (thank you pixelbite for not joining in the freemiun bandwagon), this one left me going "meh". It's just as fun, has the same wacky physics, and plays the same way as the other two, but the car selection is greatly reduced, and there are no more upgrades to the cars, which I thought was kinda fun. Hope they add those things back on an update!

What Reckless Racing 2 should have been.. Reckless racing 2 was a big let down and I was very skeptical of buying this but for only $0.99 it was worth it. I just wish they would bring back all the awesome tracks from the original or at least update the original with Retina graphics. This game could definitely do with more levels and drift/gymkhana levels.

A more focused and still enjoyable follow-up. Nice, clean graphics, solid controls, a more focused campaign and race mode types with some expansions in gymkhana, etc. Multiplayer isn't here which is sad, but everything else about this game showcases solid craftsmanship. Well done guys, I love it.

Expected more. The transition from the 1st game to the 2nd was a very great improvement of the game. However with the 3rd installment, I expected more. You're not able to customize cars in this game. But this is just temporary for I know they will add more features in the future like how they added drift in the 2nd game. Also game crashes on the iPad mini
