Wonderful App. A friend suggested I try this app and I'm so glad she did. It is wonderful to have the Bible on my phone but the additional information makes it the only app I use. Try it and you will love it, too!

Use every day!. A great way to study scripture. He brings in different viewpoints when there is disagreement on what certain passages mean so the reader can form his own opinion. I like that the last update to the app fixed the bug that caused it to go back to the start of the chapter when you opened the app back up. Now it opens back up where you left off studying.

Awesome revelation - little bitty space. I grew up in church and when I had a question about a certain verse my dad would open up MHC and explain it to me. The fact that I can simply open the MHC app is of such tremendous benefit and convenience. I have no doubt that you will find just as beneficial and convenient

Really Good!. This has been a great help to my daily morning devotions. One thing that would make it even better is if it had a highlighter function, so I can reference my learnings, but otherwise, it's a great study companion.

A daily blessing. I absolutely love this commentary. Matthew Henry does such a good job explaining the scripture and making it applicable to our daily lives. This is a must have when doing devotions. So grateful for whoever developed this app. The only thing I would change would be to add a highlight feature to the app. I would love to be able highlight my favorite parts of this commentary. Often in my faith journey, I ask myself “what does that scripture look like practiced in my life right now?” This compendium of insight into God’s Word engages my mind to think about truths from perspectives rooted in the consistency, reliability, and contextually applicable perspectives. It deepens and clarifies my understanding of the intent of the scriptures I read. I am blessed to have been lead to this resource after asking in prayer “Lord, what does this look like? How can I practice what you are saying in my life, right now?”

Fantastic reference. I use MHC frequently and it has been such a blessing for me. I have the 6 volume MHC set but using my Apple device is so much quicker and accessible. I really like that the associated verses are one click away! I do have two recommendations for this app. The first is that the place on the page not change when shifting between portrait and landscape view and vice-versa. The second is for bookmarks to be available for us to use. There have been many times when I would like to stop where I'm reading and go to another section of the commentary. There is a LOT of content in this app and having a history of which chapter you are reading is nice but it doesn't allow you to easily get back to where you actually stopped reading, if you decide to go somewhere else. Thank you, George, for being a vessel of Christ, and for the time and effort that you put into this wonderful app!

Don't study without out it. I use this commentary with the help of other study aids to understand and meditate on God's Word. It is one of the commentaries I use regularly as a more "seasoned" Christian who needs to grow and learn more and more. I highly recommend this commentary.

Sadly filled with errors and omissions.. My wife and I were using this app for our daily devotions. When I began using a book version while she continued using the app, we were surprised to discover errors and omissions on every page. I no longer trust this app as an accurate representation of Matthew Henry's Commentary. Recommend the developer remove the app from the App Store until it is corrected. The publishing work of the 1600s produced results far superior to this app in terms of accuracy.

Excellent Value for an outstanding Commentary. This is one of the best Apps available. There is great ease of use and a faithful reproduction of the original. I have found one or two typographical errors, but other than that I have nothing to regret in buying this App. If you are unfamiliar with Matthew Henry and are seeking a commentary that runs circles around the modern fluff, this is the one you want. I have only experienced one technical issue with it so far; in the commentary on Luke chapter 5, the page will not go past verse 37 and there are 39 verses in the chapter.

Reliable and complete. Ive been using it for years. Its a rock solid app no hiccups and does its job properly, it is easy to use and doest take a ton of space. Remember MH is six volumes! I love this app use it almost daily.

Matthew Henry is enhanced. Not that anyone can improve upon Matthew Henry’s wonderful work but presenting it a more easily used format is a helpful tool for personal devotion and study. Highly recommended!

Matthew Henry Commentary. I like having the MHC on my phone...it's convenient when I'm not able to read from the book itself.

Excellent Bible Tool. This is my favorite Bible study aid. Matthew Henry is very direct and thorough. I always get something new when I use this tool. Just as a warning, the language of Henry's day could be difficult for some to understand.

Absolutely a must have. Can't say enough good things about this book. It helps me when I have to teach bible study or Sunday school. It also helps when someone calls and has a question.

My thought. I love this app but it would be great if you could highlight or bookmark to keep your place when you want to look up something. I would be glad to pay more for the app if they would update it to read to you so you could follow along since there is some words that I am sure I'm not pronouncing correct and can't leave the app to look up since I always lose my place.

Lots of typos. I use this app often, but nearly every time I do, I find typos. I’m an editor so maybe I look more carefully at it than most. I can usually figure out from context what the words should be, but newbies could be confused, to say the least, with things like this on 1 John 5:18-21: “It is a great happiness to know the true God, to know him in Christ; it is eternal lie.” The reference is John 17:3 —“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Obviously, the word “lie” should be “life”, but if you don’t know the Bible and don’t click on the reference,…. Does anyone know how to send corrections to the developer? The last typo correction was 1 year ago.

Awesome!. This biblical tool is a must for everyone who is sincere and serious about full knowledge and research in understanding the Bible in its entirety, scripture by scripture! Matthew Henry Commentary is a must have. I’ve downloaded it on my phone and I find myself constantly referring to it when reading the Bible and am unsure about a passage of scripture. The commentary breaks the passages down even to the novice. Thank you. Keep on developing.

Trust the Reformers for the best expounding of scripture.. Matthew Henry is my absolute “Go to” of the dead theologians. I prefer him over Calvin, Luther, Hus, Edwards, Spurgeon, etc... And what’s even better is that his writings are more accessible and have been translated into a modern understanding that my mind can grasp (maybe not everything). I highly recommend this app which offers the scriptures AND Henry’s notes in between.

My right hand study reference!. I love this reference for Bible study. There is so much in-depth information that it amazes me as to its completeness. I use it as a reference when I teach and am amazed at the consistent insight God has given. It is my go to reference and am very fortunate to have it at my fingertips!

A Huge Blessing!. This app works really well! I had been using the MH commentary in print, which is a giant book for about a year. I really enjoyed Henry's detail and didn't mind the tiny print. However, after about a year I had the opportunity to study abroad to South America. I wanted to continue a bible study through Isaiah while I was abroad and that's when I discovered this app. It's easy to navigate and I love that it saves my place each day. I love the feature that Henry's references to scripture pop-up in a little bubble when I click on it. For example, if I'm studying Is. 32 and there is a reference to Jn. 1, I can click on the reference and it shows the verses. Ultimately, I love that I didn't have to lug a huge book in my suitcase as I traveled and can easily transport the commentary wherever I go! Thank you for creating this app!!

Wonderful tool to study God's Word. I love the depth of Matthew Henry. Each Word of Scripture is proven golden as he expounds upon the depth and meaning. I love how you click on outside references to reveal them. This is a wonderful app! A huge blessing! I only wish I could highlight the material. I find myself wanting to copy and paste to another document since I am unable to highlight.

Matthew Henry's Commentary is a time tested gold standard. I highly recommend Matthew Henry's Commentary. He was a brilliant pastor and theologian who brought much to the church in the way of his commentary. His theology is sound and any library should include his volumes.

Love it, great guide!. I love how specific it is, this version isn't brief at all it has thoughts as well as specific lengthy explanations of all perspectives of the verses! I usually try to figure out what the text is meaning on my own but when I can't this is great and even when I do I like to see how it lines up with this commentary and compare. Recommend for anyone who wants to expand their biblical knowledge or people in ministry.

Wonderful Resource. I have the actual books on my library shelf and use them, but there are times when out that I can just go to my Phone app and find out the same information. I so appreciate this resource.

This commentary is great!!!. This is a hand reference! The books are large and cumbersome to carry when you need them to be handy.

Such a Blessing. Charles Spurgeon said everyone should read Matthew Henry's commentary at least once and I have to agree. Henry's commentary is usually one of my go to's for personal study and also sermon prep but to have it accessible on a mobile device just makes it all the more convenient. Not to mention it's very easy to use. You can jump from one book to another one chapter to another or one verse to another immediately. It works just like the you version Bible app. I highly encourage anyone by this. One it's much cheaper than a physical copy, two it's just a great resource to have.

Invaluable and timeless. To have been alive and met Matthew Henry must have been awesome . Even though this commentary was written over 200 years ago it still applies today. The ease of use and the hyperlinks have helped me be a better speaker , father , husband , and friend. It makes it so easy to read and get in depth and then apply it to your everyday life.

MHC. Awesome app. God gave this man so much wisdom. I love his language and that KJV was the main translation of his day. So many modern commentaries use the modern perverted versions. He is very clear and challenges readers to look up word definitions. Would not not to be without it. I bought 6 volume hard copy and always to have non digital materials. Great Information. It amazes me how God gives men the understanding of His word and then the wisdom to share it with us. The in-depth information has been a blessing to my ministry especially when preparing my sermons.

Anointed Devotional. The following excerpt from this wonderful Bible companion demonstrates the wealth and value of reading it: "The woman was made of a rib out of the side of Adam; not made out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be beloved."

A must have study tool!. I have had this app for a while and use it along side my bible study and other bible reading. I have found so many helpful insights that have enriched my studies tremendously. It has become my "Go to" resource although I have many other commentaries in hard copy format, this has been the the one that has thorough, trustworthy and biblically solid comments. Highly recommend this app!

Insightful and Dependable. I love using the Matthew Henry Commentary. It gives great insight on scripture. Although the style of writing is very old, if you read slowly and carefully and you like reading old writing style novels, etc, use a dictionary, the meanings of some of the more complicated phrased can be understood. I can always depend on this commentary to be sound and solid in scriptural understanding.

Great improvements. I really like the search functionality. It was greatly needed. History feature is nice for jumping back and forth-also a great addition. The font size is ok with me.

Favorite!. This commentary is used in my everyday study of God's word. It's concise, though uses words and style of writing that are not often found in modern day literature. To some that might be off-putting, but to me it brings a richness that fills my canvas of understanding more fully. The layout is hard to read as the lines are long and close together, but you just deal with it because it will deliver depth! The selection of book, chapter, and so on is very easy to manipulate. And the price? Can't turn down such a bargain for something of such worth!

It is great and very useful. If you are trying to save money, get PocketSword. It is not as nicely laid out, but you can get Henry's commentary (and heaps of other ones) for free. You can also read Henry's commentary online for free on a bunch of websites.

Better understanding!!. I read the word and sometimes I get so much more insight of that word when I see what Mathew Henry has to say it's such an awesome help I love his insight still so applicable to today's world in reflection to Gods word for today, would not be without it, and it's my bible mate they go together so well and give me the understanding I need to get greater understanding of Gods word.

MH commentary. Useful, but by no means unique insights to all books. Pleasingly Victorian editorial style, carrying its own special way of helping the reader to slow down and really think about what he is reading.

Matthew Henry's Commentary. I just love this teaching/learning aid. I refer to it quite often to get an instantaneous explanation of something the pastor said in a sermon. It also helps me immensely when preparing to lead our home Bible study.

Matthew Henry commentary. I think it's one of the best commentary's out there. It spares no information on pertinent information concerning the bible. I recommend it to any student of the bible
