iPhone 7. Awesome app. Awesome concise and shortened commentary. Awesome all around!!! Convenient as well. I don't have to buy the book like my parents have. They have had Matthew Commentary Books since I was a child back in the early 90s. One day I needed a break down of the scripture and I would google matthew Henry commentary and decided to see if they had an app. I'm ecstatic they do and it's something I will continue to use but it's just something about books that I love and one day I will have both lol. Great job!!!!

Matthew Henry commentary. I have been a student of the bible since the age of 14... I have been in the ministry for 25 years now... In my many years of study I have read and sourced many commentaries .... I must say that Matthew Henry commentary was the most useful and instructional resource as a young man and even now after all these years has stood the test of time for it's insight as well as it's practical application to any level of bible student....

I am thankful for my brother MH. MH has been a stabilizing influence on my understanding of scripture. His explanations and passions for God's Words have enriched my own understandings of my Father, Brother and Holy Spirit. He is another brother I'm looking forward to hugging in Heaven to thank him for the time he spent sharing his understanding of Gods love letter to us all.

Useful, Understandable. I have long used MH's commentaries w/ bible studies. His insight is still keen today. This is abridged, but this is a very good version. I appreciate using it to prepare me for a chapter as well as for helping me more fully understand difficult passages. MH does not skip or gloss over any passage, he explains them all. Unabridged version are online, but this is amazingly helpful.

Matthew Henry. I really like this commentary even better now that's it's downloaded on my tablet now I can research the scriptures so much faster.

Awesome resource!. This commentary has really helped me in my quest to read, understand and apply the Word of God to my life. I previously used a gigantic hardbound version of this commentary which was just as helpful but very heavy! Apps like this make me so glad I have an IPad. I highly recommend it.

Incredible tool for Bible reading. MHCC has put a new fire into my Bible reading. This concise version is great for when I don’t have a ton of time to study the passage but still want to dig a little deeper into Scripture.

A great resource!. How delighted I was to find this book. Here is a thoughtful and thought-provoking commentary, something to help one digest the Scriptures in a useful, palatable way. But I especially love this dear man's faith, which shines brightly even from decades past, and lights the way of understanding into the very heart of God.

Crashes. Any advice?. Just installed on iPhone. I have proper storage, plenty of space. Have since deleted unused apps, photos, restarted; deleted & reinstalled app; multiple restarts. Crash: freezes if search, can’t scroll, screen locks. I’ve never had that problem with other apps. I have the paperback version & it’s great. Disappointed.

I love the App!!!. I use this app. to better understand the history of the times of what I am reading. And I love understanding the people better. And most importantly-using this commentary, I then can apply it to my own life and ask the Lord to help me be a doer of the Word. I read a chapter of the Bible and then I go to this Matthew Henry app. I love the opportunity to look up the meaning of a word and then just go back to the to the commentary. That is perfect for me.

Great practical insight!. Nothing bad to say. I love everything about this app. It saves me carrying around a very large book. It's amazing how sometimes we're led not only to a certain portion of Scripture, but a certain commentary as well. Many times, this has been that commentary for me. God Bless America!!!

Very helpful. This is such a special app. I had another MH app, I believe it was free. This one us the upgrade. It is very reasonably priced and so so worth it. Easy to read, easy to understand, easily laid out. Adjustable print size which is very important to me. A great addition to my daily Bible study. Easy to toggle between this app and Bible apps. Great help during bible study. I have the original commentary also, but I find myself using the concise version more and more. It is easy to navigate and brings much insight into the scriptures.

Love this reformed commentary. I love Matthew Henry as he, a Puritan, provides a reformed exposition of the text treating the word as the supreme authority over tradition reason and experience. His words give real depth and understanding of doctrine so that we might rightly understand the doxology of application that flows from a thankful heart filled with a love and knowledge of God!

I like that it is a condensed version of the full fledge Matthew Henry commentaries, although I sometimes want a more thorough commentary on a piece if scripture so I'm looking into getting a complete version. Nice reference. Always a good word. There's more info here than you find in a something like a Bible dictionary, but not so much you get bogged down & unable to distill the comments. If you want more, go for the full commentary.
