Excellent Bible audio app!. The Bible reader is very accurate and reads at an easy to hear rate. I like that there is no background music, so you can focus on God’s Word.

Other translations.. Is there a way we can get different versions like NIV, ESV?

Love listening to this while getting ready for work.. Remember the Bible on cassette tape? CDs? We prayed the reader had a soothing voice! If not, you're young. We could only listen if we carried the cassette or CD player around everywhere. Take advantage if this young people! It's so much more convenient, lol! And the voice is perfect.

Gods Word instead of the News channel. How wonderful to sit with my coffee in the morning and hear Gods Word. I love the speed setting and slow it down for those passages that I really need to hear!

Pretty good. I was looking for an app that is not KJV and can read selected bible verse repeatedly. This app is affordable and serves the purpose. The only wish is it will come up with NIV version!

Best App. I’m thankful for this app. This has been a great blessing to me. It has the perfect set of features to relax you or to memorize scripture, or just to listen intently to the Bible and its message for us today. The price is great and this app is most certainly a God-inspired ministry. I would give it 5 stars if it used a more distinguished, lustrous voice like my other two apps have. But this is a matter of personal preference and does not minimize in ANY way what I described above. This is my FAVORITE audio Bible app. Logos Bible software is my favorite Bible study application for studying and searching God’s word. Please keep this app active and improving upon it!

Best Bible App. Its great that I can hear the word anytime I want. The narrator’s voice is easy to listen too. Also, I like that its free with no annoying ads.

My favorite App ever!. I love this app. I use it more than any other app. I am so thankful to God to have a way to easily listen to His word at the touch of a button. I tried a much more expensive app and it wasn't reliable. I had trouble with it. This is very reliable and very user friendly I've downloaded both the old and New Testaments and gotten the upgrades. Love both apps!

SpokenWord. The SpokenWord apps by George Dimidik provide easy use access to the World English Bible spoken version provided by AudioTreasures. This version uses the reading by David Williams - American accent. I really like the melodic sound, tone, rhythm of this person speaking the Word. $0.99 is basic features. Another $0.99 upgrades to enable showing printed text of each verse on screen. The main feature I appreciate is that the app can be closed at any point and it will start from that point when app started. The timer function is another feature that is helpful to listen to scripture when retiring for sleep. Accessing individual chapters and features is by finger scrolling the selection. Easy to move anywhere in the Old and New Testament. Coupled with the Bluetooth capabilty of the iPhone can utilize with Bluetooth audio devices. The combination of the SpokenWord apps and the iPhone provides the Bible in a form suitable for use just about anywhere. One item I did note is that speaker and text display in certain places did not match exactly word for word.

Spoken. I love the way I can read the word through hearing it. As a truck driver and traveling the country it is nice.

Been using for years!. I play this before I go to bed. Soothing voice. I like the sleep timer. That was a good upgrade. The only thing I like change would be to add a in app volume bar. That way I can have my alarm on full blast but not the app on full blast!!!

Excellent. Listening to the scriptures opens them in a continuity of the authors thoughts which I have not fully experienced in reading. Combined with a study of the scriptures, and documentaries and excellent movies like "John" as well as theological commentary and if course much prayer, this all is an essential tool in the toolkit to more deeply understanding Gods love.

David Cloyd. This is by far my favorite of the audio bibles. The voice of the reader and his proper annunciation help me better absorb the true meaning of the text and provide a smooth flow to the Bible.

Great. It is great system that I could listen to the Holy Bible instead reading the Holy Bible when I do the multi-tasking. And it is very good to let the blind listen to it as well. Even shower time, I could listen to it. Good, very good. Indeed I enjoy it.

In app purchases not restoring. Great app but am trying to install the Old Testament on a new phone.I purchased the old upgrade on my old phone but can not restore purchases in order to get the sleep timer and extra features. Love these extra benefits the upgrade gives.

Spoken Word English Bible NT. Overall very good. I love listening to God's Word in the car but it desperately needs reviewing and upgrading. 1/2 the NT is barely audible and is way too quiet.

Great app, but one small flaw. The only thing that would need to be added to make this a 5 star app would be to have different voice options. The voice sounds pretty artificial and robotic

Great app. It would be great if the Amplified Bible came along. Maybe a couple of accented voice and a female voice. Just a bucket list. I am really enjoying the program. I especially like loop back. I am in a meditation group that requires the listening of a portion of scripture several times. Faith comes by hearing the Word.

Thanks, two thumbs up!!!. I love being able to listen to the word, as I don't really like to read much. It's great to push a button and continue where I left off. Hopefully the next version will allow for multitasking and the availability of different versions.

I love Jesus. I enjoy reading the bible either by listening or reading myself or listening and reading along. Once you consume your self in the bible it grabs a hold of you and you don't care to listen to secular music and fill you soul with ungodly things. Repent you knowing and unknowing sins to The Lord and asks for forgiveness if you hold any hurt or in forgiveness for ANYONE no matter what forgive that person so you may be forgiven. You can't say you serve and love Jesus and not that person. Cause look at what we all do sin wise daily and he still loves us. We categorize what we feel is a sin or what's is good or bad in our HUMAN eyes and feeling and understandings but our way is not Gods way. Except Jesus in your life, love one another regardless, pray and have hope and faith in only Jesus not your own doings cause we do nothing without him NOTHING everything you've achieved either positive or negative is because of his grace and mercy to allow us to have a functioning body, so when you think you studied yourself for that test or won that marathon or got a raise or dodged danger etc etc etc etc. it is because of his grace and mercy and love to give us time to get it right and that's the exact reason that he gave his son Jesus and the holy spirit so that we can have help in this sinful world. So pray and always talk to Jesus either in your mind or out loud, and thank him for everything.

Great Bible app!. This would have been a six star app if that existed. Since that does not exist and since there is still room for little improvements, it gets a HIGH FIVE from me. I've tried many others and this is the best by far. An improvement would be the ability to listen to it in the background and still be able to open another bible apps to read along. Thank for the effort in putting this together; I love it.

Spoken Word New Testament. The fact that, for free, the Bible is available without music, play, commentary, or distraction, is marvelous! An for free! Now, it is available as I drive to work and at any time there is time to listen. Suggestions: Some audio books have a speed setting that can make the reading speed up 2X without changing the voice tone level. This would be good to add to make some long lists of names or sections move more quickly. Particularly when looking for a specific verse. I wish the ambitious gentleman who read it would have sounded rested and put the emotion and drama of the events into his voice to make it 5 stars! It is very worthwhile contribution. Like this app and use it often. Yes the voice is obviously computer generated, but if you're looking for a FREE app that makes the Bible more accessible in your daily life, try this one! I'm a stay at home mom and I like to listen to this app while doing chores around the house. I also like that I can access it so easily and quickly - if I'm having a bad day I can pull out my phone and listen to a chapter of the Bible to gain some perspective.

Works perfectly. I love this app. Pro-can be used with or without Internet,once you press play it never stops so its nice going to sleep to,very easy to understand (The following may be cons ppl although these dont bother me)you have to get the Old Testament separately,you can't read its strictly listening ,the voice is distracting and a bit robotic. Otherwise,I love this app!!

Great. I chose this app because it does not have music or drama and i like to listen to the reading without someone elses dramatic interpretation. Love it. I use this to listen while jogging or gardening or doing chores and want to add to my reg Bible study. This is an audio so you can't read along and mark anything. If I want to note something I pause it and switch to my note app to jot down the thought. Then it is simple to restart. You can easily "rewind" or reverse to go over the chapter again. If you want to go back a few verses you have to just guess how far on the bar you need to go. The one thing I don't care for is the voice used. Usually he sounds kind of "sing-songy-same constant tone"

Blessings!. I listen as I fall asleep like some others. The reader seems to read a little too fast on the New Testament. Sometimes, it makes it difficult to really take in what God is wanting us to walk away with. Your version 5 or six years ago did not seem quite as fast reading and a bit more relaxing to listen to, but perhaps I am more tired at night. Some words differ from my Bible, so not a complete replacement. But My eyes are to tired to read at night. Thank you for this tool and to keep God 's Word on my brain during the night ! I really like it. I use it daily to keep me on task with my Bible reading. I listen and follow along with my Bible. 3 stars and not 4 or 5 because they stopped letting me pick my bible version. I miss how I used to pick what Bible version so I could follow with my Bible exactly. Now I'm stuck with what they only give us. I can barely afford phone and air time monthly I can't buy apps too! And this is God's word. God's word should be free to all. To make money, put different voices to it, or read with expression and excitement. The free can be just the plain voice as it is now. Suggestion.

Simple and works well. I had been trying to listen to the bible in 90 days along with my church using the YouVersion, but the glitches and crashes got to be too much. This app has worked properly every time. I do wish that when it goes from one chapter to the next it would verbally tell you the chapter number. The vocal quality is pretty good. Great Tool for the Body of Christ. This is a wonderful application. I love it because my children can listen and understand the scriptures being read go them. I listen while getting them ready for school or just to start our day. The voice is clear and understandable. I love this application!

Like it. I like to listen to this in the morning as soon as my alarm goes off. by the time it's finished with a chapter, I'm awake and then I go over the chapter a second time by reading it on another app. The only thing I would change is to make it so that when you open the app, it doesn't automatically start playing. I would like to go to passage I want and hit play when I'm ready.

Time Multiplier App. I get three to four times more scripture into my life and heart than ever before by hearing rather than reading. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies and have never before used an audio app for Scripture. When you listen you hear different things as they stand out to me that may not have when reading. Also to hear a whole book rather than just a passage gives a new perspective! This is more than just a blessing! Thanks for the app and that the cost is something anyone can afford!

Faith comes by hearing !. My faith has grown leaps and bounds. I don't learn as well by just reading so it's discouraging to just sit down with the bible and read. That's why I love this little app. Not only can I listen in my quiet time with the Lord but also on the go in the car, or cooking dinner etc. Plus I believe the word of God has more power when spoken aloud into my life. App is worth the download. The voices are very easy to understand and listen to. tempo and inflection are appropriate.

Wonderful!. This is great! What audio book Could be better than the bible? None. I listen to it when driving, working around the house, and often at bed time. The voice is easy to listen to. I like much better than the computer generated voice that I paid too much money for that also crashes a lot. I've never he'd this bible crash.

Very good. It took me a little while to get use to his voice. He speaks pretty fast and if I am not focused I may miss some content. But I listen at night before I go to sleep and as someone else said it is uplifting when usually all we hear is bad news. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because he speaks so fast. I do wish the old testament was included.

Totally Awesome!. I love this and I can't believe how good it works and sounds! When I am doing some task that requires little attention, I turn this on and listen to God's word. I am happy with the modern language version. It is a reliable translation that is easy to understand and follow. My thanks to the providers of this app!

Thanks. This is a great Bible program and I appreciate those whose time and effort have made it possible, even making it free. I would like to point out minor glitches - some words get chopped, at times the narrator's voice is not as clear, and even some phrases are omitted, and I'm not speaking of textual/ translation issues. So far I have listened only from Joshua to half of Psalms, but all these things are really apparent. Clean up some of the audio and check chopped/ omitted phrasing, and this will be 5 star!

Love the upgrade. Ipod no longer has the "sleep Ipod" feature 😞 so I'm thrilled this upgrade has a sleep timer! Love the voice control feature to slow the reading down a little. I've gotten used to the voice so its not bad and hearing the word anywhere without needing wifi is invaluable! I've been able to get through the entire Bible just listening on my way to and from work! The reading along version is different. Syncing that would be nice. But overall I love it and thank you! 😌

Superb for those living with physical limitations!. I have trouble sleeping due to severe arthritis. Prior to this app, bedtime was filled with anxiety and insomnia. Pain is an insidious experience that not only affects your daily life, but your ability to sleep... Which we all know that is when our bodies need in order to heal! It is a cumulative cycle of 'torture'. Now, each night I put my earphones on and listen to the stories. It plays all night, unless I stop it. I don't though as i know i am absorbing the lessons and I even dream of the things it teaches me. I've learned and benefitted so much in such a short time. The narrators voice had just enough intonation to keep you involved yet with a calming effect that it still allows me to sleep peacefully. I only hear his voice if I wake up due to some other reason. And to be awakened to the words of Revelations brings me a chance to begin my first moments of each day with a peace that I have not had for years.... Until this app, I awoke each and every morning to physical pain that has a profound negative effect on a persons outlook not just for your coming day, but in long term ways. I love this app and I am so grateful to being lucky enough to have found it... Or led to it??

Great App. It was great to find this app for free. I have found some mistakes in it, but for free who can complain. All of you out there that have trouble with the app and complain about it, just remember it was free. The man who did the reading of the Bible did a great job. Some of those places and names in the Bible are very hard to say. I like to listen to the app when I walk my dog. I am reading through the Bible and this is a great time to listen and meditate as she gets her walk. Again complain if you had to pay money for the app, but otherwise just sit back listen and enjoy the word of God being read to you.

The best audio Bible app. I like this app better than all the others I tried, and I've tried a lot. The narrator has the best voice at reading than any other. He reads it like I would read it. There is no drama voice, no sing-song voice, no voice trying to put expression into the verses. I really appreciate that! I don't like people presuming to put emphasis on certain words or to try to make it sound like an actor reading his lines. This is the best of all!

Grateful for this app!. I am grateful for this app because it helps listen to the word of God everywhere. Especially on my way to work... For those who have long commute to work/School this is the way. It makes it possible to go through each book in the bible and put the bible in better perspective. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Romans 10:17

Won't operate after upgrade of app.. Reached out to the vendor but there has been no response. I just got ripped off for the upgrade.

Always place God 1st.. This audio bible is wonderful & a must for people who's always on the go, who hasn't have time tp carry along the bible,but has time to listen music all day on iPhone & iPods and other smart phones that makes time to enjoy their music. Their's no excuses for installing this app, b-cuz it's free. Personally it has been fulfill my life, strengthen me throughout my recent separation & pending divorce. Great App!. Been listening to the spoken word now for more than a year. Most recent update works great in background, and with ear-piece controls! :-) would prefer to see ads without the slightest hint of sexual connotations (Top Girl). I rate it 4.5 for this one reason, otherwise a 5.0. At times now when running in foreground, ads stop the audio, cover the screen, and must be quit to continue audio listening.

Easy to understand, good reading pace, not computer animated voice, easy chapter look out, hand free Bible reading has help me understand chapters better than when I read them myself, I am audio learner. Get the Upgrade!. This is a really nice app. The narrator’s voice is pleasant and natural, not like some professional voices that can sometimes be distracting. (FYI- He does have a slight Southern accent.) What made this five-stars for me was the in-app upgrade which includes a sleep timer and the choice to read along with the narration if you desire. But the feature I enjoy most in the upgrade is the ability to adjust the pace of the narration. Like many of you, I enjoy listening to the Bible before I go to sleep at night, and hearing it read at a slower pace is relaxing and enables me to meditate as I listen.

Amazing audio Bible App. Can't say enough about how great this app is. Spend $1.99 and get the add free version with sleep timer and adjustable voice speed. My favorite part is everything also works offline, so I can listen anytime and anywhere. The voice is very clear, it's actually much better than any professional narrators I've heard. Can't say enough about this app. Bought paid version of OT and NT.

Very Good For The Road. I work away from home and it's nice to listen to the Bible being read while I'm driving. The only thing I would say needs revision is the monotone voice. I feel it would be better if the reader was a little more animated in the reading. Overall it is a very good tool for people who don't have time to read during there travels, it doesn't replace actually reading the word but it is a good choice to listen instead of not being in the word at all.

Good app; mediocre voice. Thank you so much for providing such a great audio Bible app for FREE. I really enjoy listening to the Word - you come away with a different perspective than reading, I think. The one thing I would recommend is that you work on the voice - its very monotone and digital sounding. It'd be great to feel like someone was just sitting next to me, reading to me. But overall great app.

Hearing the Word is transforming. I have a 45 minute drive to work every morning. So I was looking for something to use in order to make the most of my time spiritually. Listening to the word of God has transformed my life. I wholeheartedly recommend this program. Great app. I love the Word and being able to relax in the morning w the Audio NT washing over my soul, renewing my mind for the day ahead .......pure joy! Since I downloaded the spoken word app, it has been a renewed pleasure to listen passionately to the written word in a living manner, the voice's tune is passionate, captivating and alive. That enable the listener to view with the eyes of the spirit the unfolding of God's mysteries lively and to feel embedded in the scenes of the development of biblical prophecies. A great reading work to an ultimate listening experience.

Love it!!!. This app is wonderful for many reasons. The most enjoyable feature to me is the continuous play from anywhere in the Bible until I manually stop it! This is great because I don't have to stop what I am doing in order to press play at the end of each chapter like in other apps. Very edifying to be able to feast on God's word in this way... Love it!

Great but needs updating. This is a wonderful app. I enjoy listening to the Word while driving. Highly inspirational and calm reading. Because of that experience I would give this app 5 stars. However, sometimes it's good to read along, as I did I notice it doesn't coincide with the correct chapter. For example I was listening to Matt 24, regarding signs of the end times, but it was displayed the reading was actually chapter 13. Periodically I look to see what chapter and book is being read so I can go back and read it later. Please fix this problem. Very crucial.

Beware. If you upgrade from the original SpokenWord to the Readalong version it's not like a good translation far from King James very weak!
