Blue Letter Bible Comments & Reviews 2026

Best Bible app for me, linked studies great. I have used Blue Letter Bible for several years. It has been an invaluable way to help me get deeper into God’s Word. The multiple translations and editions are helpful. Even better for me are the links to cross-references in other parts of the Bible, and detailed commentaries from pastors and Bible scholars, from the 21st Century (David Guzik, Chuck Smith) to Charles Spurgeon, all the way back to 1710 (Matthew Henry). The entire Bible is in the app on audio as well, and many of the commentators I mentioned above also link to audio sermons and studies. Download the app, select a book of the Bible you’re curious about, click on a verse, and explore the rich content that will make you a more informed reader.

Like everything...except search. Before I began using BLB I used Olive Tree. I wanted the BLB because of the ability to interchange the different translations easily. I attend a church where different leaders/Pastors use different translations. There is one feature I like on Olive tree a little better is the search feature. When I search a specific word, then look it up and then come back to search for more on the same word, my list of references were still there. However BLB doesn’t seem to save my search results leaving me having to re-type the search word and pull up the list again. It would be nice if BLB retained what I was searching so I can flip from viewing the verse to the search menu easily. I hope that makes sense. I enjoy the app for everything else. I wish there was an easier highlighting method as well. When I press on a verse to highlight...a long menu of multiple features comes up and that can be distracting in the middle of a sermon.

The Bible at my fingertips. I have been using BLB for several years (probably 4 or more). I, for the past 3 years, have done the reading through the Bible in 1 year using a couple different methods. I very much enjoy doing that and feel it has helped me grow in my Christian walk. I use the highlight feature highlighting with different colors to represent God’s names, God’s character, God’s commands for his people, Holy Spirit scriptures. I underline verses I want to remember AND I use the commentary when I don’t understand a passage. Honestly, I could go on and on because I really have benefited from all the features you offer and I probably have not used them all. Thank you for making God’s Word available at my fingertips anytime anywhere!!

BLB - My #1 Free Bible Study resource!. Thank you Blue Letter Bible and the entire ministry for continuing updates and supporting the Body of Christ with all of the free resources you provide. I appreciate and use the BLB app daily for my Bible readings, listening, bookmarking favorite verses, and now note taking with titles, ability to create notebooks and more. I can now create new highlight categories and order them as I’d like. Love the search for passages feature, listen to great audio commentaries, and viewing the original Greek and Hebrew and share passages. This ministry has provided so many free Bible resources including audio Bibles, TSK, Bible comparison, text and audio commentaries, dictionaries, Interlinear with Lexicon and Hebrew and Greek pronunciations - all from a tap on a verse! To God be the glory!

We need new updates ASAP. I enjoy this app greatly, but it is in need of some fixes. For the iPad the search function is a pop-up screen instead of a separate page. This makes studying extremely hard because any time I click off of the app to go read my Bible app. My search screen goes away. The search screen needs to be is on a separate page just as it is in the iPhone app to keep search results up. Not only that I would like the option to leave my search results open even after I click on a verse to go, read it inside of the app. It is cumbersome to continue to search the same word and phrase over and over again as I examine in depth each verse connected to the topic I’m searching. this app can also use better navigation. On the Bible screen, we should be able to select a chapter and verse instead of having to scroll or search for a verse to get to it.

Disappointed 😔. I have a concern/question??? Why isn’t the price of this app advertised?? I am excited about having this tool at my fingertips, but I am also very apprehensive about it. I read all of the information listed about this app on the advertisement, and upon selecting the “Get” option the message flashes on the screen (pops up and disappears), PURCHASE complete 👀🤔 there was No mention of a purchase. I have no problem with purchasing, however, I was not made aware that there would be one, and furthermore, it NEVER showed the purchase amount or frequency😒 🙁😕😯 Hoping there was information available pertaining to a “purchase” AFTER I was advised that I had just made one, I opened the app details searching for purchase details.🔎. There is nothing 🙁🤦🏽‍♀️ There is also no way to verify that if I delete the app that this unknown purchase will continue to be charged or for how long. I want to keep and enjoy the app. PLEASE PROVIDE ME THE INFO OF THE OUR HASE DETAILS Thank you, Disappointed

????. When returning to blb while in x-ref mode after switching btwn different bible apps, only book name/chapter & verse # appear but no text. Also Would be extremely helpful to read offline nlt & njkv, parallel. I read all day most of my time. Online uses my battery too fast when not at home. Sometimes I use internet for nlt & another app for njkv. Both programs are wonderful. But blb offline is more excellent if only I could read these bibles offline so that I could do parallel and save on battery juice away from home & just more convenient for me since I read so much. If you decide to do this please make it VERY affordable for ALL income levels or even free, whatever is helpful for all. Thank you and God bless you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving 2017. 😇😀

Great for study. There are many options to read the Bible, but sometimes you really find you need to study the word of God to understand the message. BLB provides an immediate access to various commentaries, actual word for word translation of the original language of the text, and a comparison of multiple translations to help understand what our Lord wanted us to know in reading each part. Without digging deeper and studying some scripture, we miss out n a lot of what is being relayed to us. Our language and everyday vernacular today is so different from that of the writers and we t no to skip over things that are not familiar, but with the context of the meaning from the culture in which it was written, we can finally get the full message and understand. Thanks so much for putting this application together. I try to use it every morning for my study.

LOOOOOVE The App, But…. …when I did the transfer from my old phone(iOS 6), to my new phone(iOS 11), none of the notes, their categories; bookmarks, or their categories or any of my highlights, transferred over with the app! 🥺 Can someone help, advising of what I could have done wrong & give suggestions of how I may retrieve these essential notes from the app on my old iPhone, which I still have, w/out having to manually re-find & “type” them again, please? Thanks for taking the time to read through this review & inquiry! Blessings to each of you, along with a pointed acknowledgment to the developers of this tremendously essential app! May we each allow our loving God prepare our hearts, to receive Him at His VERY SOON Return!!!

Glitches. Often I find in your search engine when looking for a verse by using a word or phrase inconsistent. When the verse won’t appear in my search but the word or words do appear in the verse very frustrating. Also because I really love and use your Cross Reference to get parallel scriptures to further my understanding I’ve found inconsistencies there too. For instance in Revelation 3:10 where Christ is saying He will keep the Church of Philadelphia from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world to test those who “dwell on the earth”. In your TSk portion, you don’t even reference “dwell on earth” in your categories of search. Notice the long list direct references and even a couple of indirect references as an example: Revelation 6:10,11:10,13:8,14,14:617:8 with direct quotes “who dwell on earth”. Revelation12:10 “inhabitants of the earth’; 13:12 “... and those who dwell in it” are indirect references. I have used the BLB for the last 15+ years and it was originally recommended to me by the late Chuck Missler and I especially love the # of Bibles available for cross references and the easy to use format of seeing them at a glance. Over the years the above mentioned discrepancies have frustrated me and I thought you could use this feed back to make BLB even better. Thanks for all that you’ve done and will continue to do to make Bible illiteracy a thing of the past.

Six stars, best Bible study tool ever. I don’t usually write reviews for apps but this is the one exception. I use this Bible app almost every time I study my Bible. This app has everything—concordances, loads of really great and well-written commentaries, and not to mention the cross-reference feature where you can read two translations side-by-side. I recommend this Bible app to all of my Christian friends now. The commentaries have helped me to better understand difficult passages of the Bible, and the interlinear concordance has helped me so much when I want to study scripture more in depth. The strong’s definition is great, but the other dictionary-like detailed definitions that come with it are even better. I wish I could rate this more than five stars. And the fact that it is completely free testifies to the greatness of the app, that the maker of the app was more concerned about people freely studying the Bible and having the study tools they needed rather than making a profit. I can say without hesitation that the makers of the Blue Letter Bible are truly, in unironically doing the Lord’s work.

I love Blue Letter Bible. I love BLB it is a trusted friend with everything you need to help lead and comfort and join you in strengthening your faith in Jesus Christ. It is filled with the voices of faithful witnesses in Christ, both new and old to guide you and keep you in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I have gained so much from using this website I cannot begin to describe all of the benefits from having such a faithful resource. I hope and pray for the people who operate this website on behalf of Jesus Christ and stand with them as we all wait in anticipation of Christ’s return. Thank you BLB for all you have done in helping me walk more faithfully in Christ... Come quickly Lord Jesus.. I pray for all who use this site to be filled with the knowledge and hope and Love in Christ.

Very Versatile in Comparisons. I really appreciate the option of being able to read the Bible as in other Bible translations. My preference is the HNV (Hebrew Names Version) which uses the original Hebrew names as their translations been lost in the KJV and others. What I hope to see is the use of God’s name mentioned like the use of the Hebrew name for Christ is shown. This would really make this a 5 star for me, since there are very few Bibles that will even recognize use of His name in the original Hebrew text. I’ve spoke with others who shared the my same thoughts when it comes to study materials referencing the Hebrew text for any biblical names. Yours do which is why I continue to read and refer it to others. Thanks in advance for your consideration regarding make this available for students (and others) like me who would truly enjoy reading His name in that content.

BLB is awesome in every way!. I've had BLB for several years both on a Windows Laptop and on two iOS devices, but didn't use it that much. However, in 2020 I decided to do my daily Bible readings from the NLT. So, all of a sudden I am accessing BLB every day. All I can say is "Wow! I didn't know what I was missing!" Both the UI and functionality are exceptional. For instance, it is super easy to compare Bible Versions, one verse, or side by side of entire chapters. Also, it is one-click/touch drill down to an interlinear bible to look at words in the original language. BLB's customer service is also above and beyond. I had a tiny issue and wrote the "help" email. Someone contacted me that very day and explained why this may be happening and gave me a 2 work-arounds. As it turned out the issue was related to my older iPad. And one of the "work-arounds" was really functionality that I should've been using all along. So I learned something new which made that particular function so much easier! If you're looking for an excellent Bible Software for Win, Mac, both, whether for reading or doing exegetical tasks, I highly recommend BLB.

My favorite app. BLB app is my go app for Bible study. I've used it for years. I've tried several others but always come back to this one. I've never found one that compares or comes close. The features I use most are the Strong's concordance, the commentaries, translation comparison and the search features. The only downside I've ever encountered is simply if I do not have cell service and cannot use the NKJV (KJV is always available) and the commentaries. The trade off however is that there is less memory used on my phone. I also appreciate the Bible reading feature (where someone reads the text). My husband really likes the audio commentaries and uses them often. All in all an excellent product that we are so happy to have available to study the Word with.

Seemed almost unusable. Updated review: Thanks. I was able to turn off all gestures (apparently the simple tap to reach additional information on an individual verse can’t be disabled, so that may be a problem, but less frequent by itself). I changed my rating from one star to four stars. Thanks again. Original review: Sorry, but I was trying to stick it out with this app at least until I finished the Bible in a year. But it has just gotten beyond frustrating: Seemingly a dozen different accidental touches or swipes (sometimes when attempting to do something else) cause the page to disappear and (usually) go to the preceding chapter (sometimes a “search” page or something else). If I don’t happen to remember exactly which verse I was on, I have to search through or reread the chapter from the beginning because when I get back to that chapter it always opens at verse 1 automatically, even if I happened to be on verse 47 or whatever when my page disappeared. I don’t want to be angry when I read God’s word—and other Bible apps don’t irritate me so much. I just can’t use this one anymore.

Great app!! Only missing one thing!. Love this app!! Favorite things about this bible app are the many customizable highlighting options. You can have many colors and can create your own. You can even transfer your highlights if you use the app on another device! I can also view and print the various highlighted categories..so if I want to view or print all the scriptures I highlighted yellow I can do that! Also I like the auto scroll feature for if I’m on the elliptical or great for treadmill or just if you’re too tired or lazy to scroll! I like the various theme selections, as well as the font size selection.. and the new feature where you can highlight or copy multiple verses at the same time..also the fact that I can listen to the Bible on audio now is awesome! The ONLY complaint I have is that there are not enough bible translations!!! I would like to have the message and the passion translations for example 😀It would be 5 stars if it weren’t for that! GREAT app!! 💫

Audios and End Times Prophecies. I greatly appreciate the audio sermons put on here from Chuck Missler and Chuck Smith and the rest. I use the automated bible reading to listen to the daily readings while I do my chores in my house; I greatly appreciate these features as well. And to highlight and to share verses. Pastor Chuck Missler was a couple weeks younger than my dad. My dad past away August of 2017 and Chuck Missler Spring of 2018. I miss them both; very smart men born around 1934. I miss them both as well as Chuck Smith. I wonder what wisdom these great men would have for us during this present day March 2021 ... especially Chuck Missler ... days of Noah, the Nephilim, the ten virgins, troubles with Iran, the peace treaties with Israel.

Helpful tool but needs improvement. I primarily use e-sword and logos Bible software for study. E-sword has simplicity of use while being able to look at commentaries quickly for each chapter. Between logos, e-sword, and BLB, e-sword is the easiest to use in my opinion. Logos has a steep learning curve but has the richest content. I use logos for deeper nuanced study. This leaves us with BLB which ease of use and content fall in between both logos and e-sword and therefore rarely gets used. One tool that I like about BLB is the audio commentaries. The audio commentaries are basically the only thing I use on BLB. There is an issue with the audio commentaries though: (1) The player is not external to the app and therefore cannot be controlled unless user is actively in the app. (2) the player sometimes decides that it doesn’t want to play anymore and I have to restart the audio. (3) There is no fast forward/rewind buttons so when I have to restart the audio I “fat finger” approximate the last place I was in the audio with the slider button. (4) No option for downloading the audio commentaries.

Amazing study feature removed with latest update. Hello. I’ve been using your app for years and it’s one of the best study tools available on iOS. I was extremely surprised to see in the latest update released this week that in the interlinear you NO LONGER can see where a Strong’s number is used for the corresponding Hebrew or Greek word you want to study. For instance there are several words used for wisdom in proverbs. I used to could pick a verse, click on the word for wisdom and see all verses where the word was used. That I can still do but it NO LONGER shows in the list of scriptures where the Strong’s word I’m researching was actually used. Sometimes the word wisdom can be used twice in the same verse but 2 different Hebrew words are used. Well I no longer can see which is used for the word I’m currently studying! I just know it’s one of them but I can’t tell which one unless I actually go into that verse and study it separately. This is a major feature loss and I’m shocked this was removed. Please let us see the Strong’s numbers in the list of usage verses again. Thanks! Update: Thanks for your response. You can see the Strong’s numbers for all verses using a word AS LONG as you go to interlinear in the KJV version. I wish it was with any translation like before but at least you can still access it. This is still the best bible study app on the store!

John. Have used Blue Letter Bible for many many years. Years ago I decided to go through the entire Bible. My cousin had found a website (BLB) and recommended I check with that. I went through the entire thing with Pastor Bob Davis, after finding his teachings on Blue Letter Bible. I had never heard of Calvary Chapel before that, and Pastor Bob kept talking about some guy named Pastor Chuck. Fast forward years later... I now pastor a Calvary Chapel. All because I wanted to learn more Bible (and GOD’s call). I have all the expensive Bible software, yet I still check with Blue Letter as an additional resource. It’s just that good. Thanks to Otis, Bob and most of all Jesus. If you want to study through the Bible... you have found the place. Even the language tools are user friendly.

Blue letter Bible. I gave this mid range review for several reasons. Today’s technology is far superior and virtually all things are available in software development if one knows how. Plus now there is A.I. When listening to audio the music that automatically plays is very annoying. One who is studying is also listening for the Holy Spirit’s teaching. We are not interested in music playing in the background. This should be able to toggle on and off. Secondly the scrolling speed should keep up with the narration. When in audio mode you should be able to select a different narration, and select any word in the text for its applied meaning and /or Hebrew or Greek application. NOT automatically highlighting the entire verse and taking you to a “add or create notes menu”. The plus side of all this is being able to change the background and font color. Plus there are no ads. I corrected (by deleting) the part about not many versions of translation available. Had there been a tutorial ( which there isn’t) I would have not originally included in my review. The rest of the review however stands as written.

Excellant study and teaching app for understanding God’s word!. The ability to highlight with different colors and title each one of those collars and to see all the verses in each of the respective color categories is extremely helpful in studying God‘s word. In addition the search feature is extremely helpful to look up various words. Also the ability to look up any word that you select outside the app is a time saver when encountering a word that the meaning isn’t clear in your own mind. Strong’s guide on the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek as well as the ability to parse the Hebrew and Greek words add’s greatly to the understanding of the text. For a person who knows no Greek or Hebrew or Aramaic it allows them to understand what the individual words really meant in the respective languages!

Best in depth Bible study app! Hands down!!. I have had this app downloaded and have been using for years but felt the need to write a review. This has been ESSENTIAL in my study fo scripture and developing a deeper understand of the Bible. The English language just doesn’t do justice. More than once the interlinear/concordance has brought up references I had no idea about. (Look up the Hebrew meaning for “worm” in Psalms 22:6 and have some tissues handy) Thank you for doing all you have to create such a valuable resource. The only thing I wish is that there were more translations available, but that is just a preference and not a criticism. Thank you developers!!

Great Bible app, but currently affects Quickview in Mail app. I have been using BLB for a very long time, and I love the app. The search, the resources, the copy/paste, navigation, the ease of use and access to multiple languages. But after the new iOS update, I noticed that PDF attachments in the Mail app wont open in quick view, but rather I had to download and open them in some other app to view them. They were considered BLB PDF files somehow, both on my iPad and iphone. I tried looking in settings, but found nothing related to the issue. I tried deleting the app and it solved the issue in Mail. So I reinstalled it, but the bug reappeared. Deleting the app fixed it every time on each device, re-installing it brought the issue back. Until I can find a way to fix it, I’m currently leaving it uninstalled, because I use mail and am dealing with documents daily. As soon as it’s fixed, I’ll have it back on, because I really am unhappy about having to go without the BLB app. 😩

Still the Best. Simply the best electronic Bible there is. The online resources are stunning. The depth is amazing. And yet all very accessible. The best! Addendum: Since my last review, other Bible apps have continued to improve. But so has BLB. It is still the best, IMO. I do wish the BLB would include A.T. Robertson’s Word Pictures of the New Testament as one of its references. The included NT lexicons (Strong’s and Thayer’s) are good, but they lack the philological depth provided by Robertson who remains the most, or at least one of the most important linguistic resources in all of New Testament textual studies. Other Bible apps have links that include Robertson’s work. I think the BLB should have it as well, mostly because the particular implementations of Robertson in those other apps is not particularly good And is even, at times, confusing.

Good. Needs improvement.. If you do a search, and then go to a Bible verse, there is no back button to go back to your search. And if you go back to the search field some other way, the words that you searched for are no longer in the field, nor are the search results still there. No fun. Similar things happen when you go look things up directly from a passage in an interlinear, I think. I simply don't want to lose my place or my searches! Adding a Back button that goes back to whatever was previous, in every window, would be a simple and excellent addition. A direct connection between work done on the app and on the online website would be nice. Words that are inserted by translators/publishers should either be italicized – but since there is no rich text supported in many online apps – or rendered in brackets.

For Serious Bible Students. I do a lot of detailed Bible study where I'm constantly in the Greek, it's grammar, and in the Hebrew, and this is where Blue Letter Bible (BLB) is key! Even with my other costly Bible/lexicon programs, I use Blue Letter Bible 99.5% of the time. Everything I need is right there at my fingertips and easy access: The Greek, Hebrew, grammar, lexicons, concordance, cross reference, Bible dictionaries, commentaries, different English versions, multiple language comparisons, devotional readings everything! Like I said, I have expensive Bible Greek/Hebrew lexicon programs on my computer. However, I use BLB 99% of the time for almost everything, because its right there, and the lexicons go into the proper In-depth detail on vocabulary, grammar, and language structure that I need for my study.. Anyone who are serious students of the Word of God, and enjoys Detailed Bible Study should get BLB, I highly recommend it.....

Best Study App Since Adam!. It’s hard to put into words how incredible the Blue Letter Bible app really is! For me, it has been a game changer that allows me to quickly dig deeper into the Word, and with His help, to “rightly divide the word of Truth.” My absolute favorite feature is the quick access to the Interlinear/concordance. In a click, I have access to Strong’s Concordance, embedded in every single line, word, or phrase, with links to definitions and deeper root meanings. It has helped me go beyond the surface, and to be more understanding of the subtleties and sometimes transformed meanings of more archaic language. It’s easy to feel like God allowed the internet to be invented just so, one day, there’d be a BLB app! Thank you for such a powerful study tool!

WAS GREAT, Problems After Upgrade. I am revising a review I did a few days ago. This has been a five star app for a long time. There were some issues with the last upgrade. The Blue Letter Bible team contacted me quickly and I found out from them one issue was not an issue but a setting that had changed or was added in the upgrade. I turned it off and was what I desired again. It is a setting with the headers and you can turn them on if you like or turn them off if you like. The other was a real bug which they were able to reproduce. The developer emailed me that he will be fixing it. That is tremendous service. So officially raising it to four stars for right now but after an update will re-review and hopefully I can put it back to the five stars that I have considered it for a very long time.

A Tremendous Resource for the Body of Christ. I first heard about, and subsequently downloaded, the Blue Letter Bible app at the beginning of 2019 and have found myself using this incredible resource almost every day. Not only does the app provide an excellent way to read the Scriptures in English, but the Interlinear/Concordance tool (which is just one of several study tools) has opened-up a new aspect of the Bible I’d never known. I find that being able to look at Scripture in its original language as well as reference Strong’s Concordance allows me to get a fuller picture of what a particular Scripture means or is trying to communicate. Thank you to the BLB development team for all the work you put into this truly wonderful and uplifting app!

Used now for years and love this App. The flexibility in this gem of an app is hands down the best out there. I have used this app for several yrs. I’ll estimate 5? I once tried to find another to compare and by far this out does them. I bookmark, highlight, add notes and refer back often. I also use this as a tool for marking resource references on a project I have been working on for several yrs. in relation to my professional work. Being able to add notes and follow up later is great. The only thing I wish it had (why it has 4 stars) (if it does I’ve never found a way) is to save all my bookmarks and highlights w notes on all my devices at the same time. So if for example I’m on my iPhone and mark something, It would be really (logical) nice that once back on my iPad I’d be able to find the same marks/notes etc. I’ve found that not to be the case. My iPad mini , iPad 10” pro and iPad 12”Pro along w my phone all have different notes and high lights. It can be very offsetting to deal with. This is unusual to see these days. Most apps work on all your devices together. The way I’ve found to work around this is by copying and pasting into my word doc app which does save my file from whatever device I’m using and can pull the same file up and copy paste when later using a different device picking up where I left off. However to have it automatically keep my stuff would be a LOT more user friendly! If it shared I’d give it 5 stars. The rest is great.

It is like having my full desktop Bible study software all in 1 place on my phone.. My iPhone X no longer supported the good Mantis Bible software I had been using to simply find in the KJV the meanings of the original Hebrew and Greek. I was forced to change. This is a great example of good is the enemy of great, because this software is great. It is like having my full desktop Bible study software all in 1 place on my phone. It is fast, intuitive, and very thorough. The fact that it is shareware is surprising giving the abundance of features and so far flawless execution. If not free I probably wouldn’t have tried it. I’m so happy I found this and will now gladly contribute to support it. If you are a Bible student this makes your studying, mobile, quick and effective. Fact check in real time messages your listening to and on the road be confident with any inspirational last minute changes you want to add to improve your own outlines. This is an unpaid review from a user who has spent about a week exploring its sundry functions.

Takes you to the next level in context. Languages don’t always perfectly translate. For instance English has one word for love but Greek has several. So when Jesus is asking Peter do you love me, this app can tell you whether Jesus and Peter are talking about brotherly love or Agape love etc., and what those words mean. I have learned to take a passage and define each word in the concordance in its original language. I can get exhaustive definitions on a particular word to help better understand the intent of the writer. In the past I used that giant book The Strongs Exhaustive Concordance but this app makes it quick and easy and you can travel with it. It has taught me that no version/translation is perfect in its interpretation. When you compare a scripture in several versions that seem to not be in agreement, this app can help you decide which one is closer to the intent of the writer. I could give several examples of scriptures that are widely quoted but perhaps not understood due to the research that is available in this app. Look up Psalm 8:4-5 for a good example. You can also easily see in what other scriptures a particular word is used in the Bible to help better define it, especially applying the rule of the first use (the way it was used the first time should be the way we use it throughout).

The BEST Bible Teaching Help. Such a simple but profoundly helpful tool as a Bible teacher. I travel frequently & live on a small budget, so the access to such a library of original language tools & scholarly commentary is invaluable to me. I would say that though much of the audio teachings I have heard via this app have been very helpful & great blessings to me, there are a couple of the teachers BLB presents that I have not recommended my students to listen to. I take very seriously the call to rightly divide the Word, so I strongly encourage anyone studying the Bible with commentary, whether written or spoken, to carefully examine what these people are saying in light of what God has given, knowing that men are fallible in their understanding but the Holy Spirit will guide us into truth if we are genuinely seeking & loving the truth!

Life changer. BLB was my first virtual bible and I was so excited when I got it because I could take my bible any where I wanted to go, but also God had a plan for me to change someone’s life with it. BLB really is a life changer. My friend and her parents were not Christians and her parents were actually against it too. One day when I was in 5th grade (or fourth I don’t remember) we were at home after school and I explained that I was a Christian and I explained what my life goals were as a Christian; she was automatically hooked and she was like “Hey, I want to be a Christian too.” After a year or so she wanted a bible like I had and so I suggested BLB and invited her to church. Sadly, her parents were, and are against it, so of course they said no. I was really disappointed and kind of frustrated because if your child wants to believe the truth then you should let them believe the truth. But after studying BLB and reading bible verses, she is now a truly wonderful believer. Please keep spreading the word of God and His love, and keep inspiring people to learn about you. And if you are wanting to become a Christian I will pray for you and I strongly suggest BLB.

My go-to app for reading or comparison or word checks. This app is wonderful for just reading God's word, as the interface is clean and simple. You can even have it read a chapter out loud for you repeatedly (good for when driving). This app is also great for checking Greek words in a verse or how other translations handle a verse, and when I'm not home, is my go-to resource for that. Unfortunately these resources are limited to verse by verse checks, unless a Greek text is set as a parallel 'translation' in the reading window. A full interlinear feature would thus be cool. Also any sort of notes on manuscript readings, or at least text editor's reading, would be helpful. Great app!

This is the ultimate bible online study. Tremendous bible resource in every way, just start exploring and be sure to click on a verse and click the one in the middle of menu and you will be able view Greek and Hebrew and explanation of all words (that choice is: Concordance/Interlinear); and so much more, all ad free. It is truly amazing. I started using this app over 7 years ago. The desktop edition is also great. For this app:They keep improving on what is already great. Example: choice for you to have the chapter read aloud for you, or the whole of the book within the 66 books of the Bible. Just about every translation of the many English translations are available. Also includes Thayer’s in depth original and amazing words in Bible I continue to learn about the root meanings through this tremendous resource that the brilliant geniuses of the development team make available when you go to a verse in linear concordance and tap any word you will get Hebrew and Greek of word it even pronounces it for you and click at bottom of that page for the Thayer selection which opens up a whole realm of authentic text Insight- when you see it you’ll get what I mean - hard to describe depths of this and for each word. I’m not an employee of this remarkable non profit, may I recommend supporting it. Also fully available on your web browser. iPad version is also dynamic and outstanding as well.

The Best Bible App. Godly theologians from the past would have given everything for just a few of the in-context tools contained in the BLB. To be able to touch the screen and see an interlinear with word parsings, or to touch it again and see the Thayer’s definition would have been more than enough. Augustus Strong gave his life to build a concordance which is just one more touch away. Then add to all that commentaries, multiple versions, in-context commentaries and various other tools, and it becomes obvious that the BLB is the sum of 2,000 years of Biblical scholarship in an easy to use format that you can hold in your hand. Every Bible student and preacher needs this app.

Great app. It’s very helpful to have the word of God, not only hidden in our hearts, but to also have it available to share with others as the Spirit leads. There are some places where the Bible might distract, but the iphone app does not. The doctors office is one of those places.. Please pray for my doctor (God knows who he is). My doctor is listening and learning through the use of this app, and of course through the work and make ministry of the Holy Spirit. Imagine a man who must inform his patient that they may only have weeks or days to live, but in the same moment also be able to convey hope as the apostle Paul did when it appeared that all hope was taken away upon the treacherous sea. Yes! We will all die someday or the vessel containing our soul will be lost, but be of good cheer, our souls will live eternally through the cross of Jesus Christ...

FINALLY! The app I’ve been searching for!. I have been searching for a bible or an app that easily lets me dig deeper into not only every verse, but every Hebrew/Greek word and phrase. Two taps and I have it broken down for me so that I can gain greater context. That’s the feature I’ve been using most but there are so many more features. I am still getting used to this app but I have to say I love it more than the YouVersion app for studying scripture. YouVersion is good for devotionals and has more versions/translations, but this app has the main translations used in America and more study tools. It also opens MUCH faster than YouVersion and does not lag the way YouVersion does. While I have the physical books, I can often get distracted and off track when trying to pull from multiple texts. I like that I can tap twice and get what I was looking for, then go right back into what I was reading without having to clean up and put away multiple texts.

Love it, wish you could update calendar dates though. I just discovered this app and I really enjoy using it! Much more user friendly than the Holy Bible app and I love the reading plan options. I am looking to start a Chronological reading plan. The biggest issue is that you cannot reset your reading calendar to start on any day other than January 1st. So if I start a chronological reading in on Nov. 5th, the reading given to me is completely out of order. It will not start me with Genesis, I would already be pretty much finished. So I have to check my boxes out of order if I really want to enjoy the plan like designed. It’s a small function to be missing, but one I would think would be standard. Overall though, this is 100% my new daily reader app and I would recommend it to others!

True to the ancient scriptures best of allll I've downloaded!. This is been an incredible Bible to study out of I've been sitting with my grandfather long distance and this has helped us so much. I would like to say also that this by far is completely perfect in Word for Word chapter by chapter verse by verse perfection they made sure to get it right. And other Bibles I've heard them say the word Jew instead of Israel or the tribe of Judah instead of Israel which is the original translation you have to go back to the beginning translations to understand what the new were Bibles have changed. The new were Bibles have changed if these things against God and against man and they will reap the consequences in heaven. Never deface the Bible it is a beautiful poetic studying theology God bless America where at least I know I'm free a God-given right that we should never let go of this Bible gives it that credibility a human right God given that we are free this Bible helps you to go back-and-forth chapter by chapter verse by verse and reference new and old testament genesis words often referenced in John and Matthew by Jesus it's a beautiful scripture wonderful to share with your family.

Sola Scrriptura • Solus Christus • Soli Deo Gloria. The Word of God is my barometer for life; for spiritual life. The Blue Letter Bible enables me to have His Word available at times I don't have my Bible. It is truly a "user friendly" App. Blue Letter Bible also has a great website. I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet some of the Blue Letter Staff on a couple of occasions and from them, learn much more about the App and about Blue Letter's ministry. It is obviously to make God's Word available to more souls. It is a God honoring ministry • Soli Deo Gloria. The App contains many wonderful features: a) Search; b) Ability to highlight text; c) Background color/text color change; d) Audio read; and e) Scroll feature to name a few. I have found the App's features to be consistently reliable. The Blue Letter App doesn't contain a lot of extraneous, options (or programs) to distract from the pure Word of God as do some Bible Apps. In essence, The Blue Letter Bible provides one with the opportunity to have The Word in an unclouded format. In a format in which one needn't be concerned with the potentially misleading opinions of man. I love the purity of The Word of God and, with the assistance of The Holy Spirit, drawing nigh Him through His precious Word. When I consider The Blue Letter Bible App, I am made mindful of the monicker "Sola Scriptura"! Thank you Blue Letter Bible for your wonderful App! ~WyoKid

Studying blessings. It has been such a joy to read and study through this site. The loyalty to the gospels and the love is shown through comments of many that are part of this site, sharing their interpretation on the Bible verses. You are gifted and blessed and I thank God for all of you, from Spurge, David Guzic and all others dedicating their lives to bring an understanding that I believe is revealed to them as they become an instrument, sharing with us our Lord Jesus as the Word into our spiritual growth. Thank you Father for your son Jesus teachings, for all He did for us. In Christ Jesus. Adriana Sherman

It is absolutely the best out there!. I’ve been in ministry for over 30 years, attended the requisite many schools, etc, etc, etc. I’m always looking for ways to do things better or smarter. I believe that might be why God gave us more intellect than a pine cone.... When I discovered this app and everything that is wrapped up in it, I was just floored. It just does whatever you want. There’s a very slight learning curve, but their website and Help section can get you through whatever you need. I’ve been using the app for quite a while now, and truthfully, I find that there’s more things it will/can do. It has a built in Strongs, audible pronunciation, built in commentaries from the best, multi language, etc..... it just does everything a person could want from a good Bible research tool. Do yourself a favor....download this app and use it. Try it out for 30 days. You’ll be amazed at everything that is available for you to use. Oh, the best part?.......it’s totally free! However, I’ve gotten such wonderful use of the product that now I support them financially. They’re just the best at the best price. You can’t go wrong!

Praise The Lord, great app!. This is how a real Christian app should be! Free, easy to use, so many useful tools, no strings attached. So many websites and apps that are Christian require payments, sometimes big ones just to see the content! Not cool when you're broke and just trying to get some Holy Ghost fuel. Great for studying into Gods word, and coming to a concluding in your heart what God really meant on certain words/phrases, before they were ever changed. I've been looking for bibles different than NIV, as I don't believe and get frustrated with at least half of the changes to it, and word replacements/alterations to make it "modern friendly" there is a point when that goes too far. I'm broke, and I'd donate to this app if needed. I recommend this app for die-hard, true(non judgemental) Christian's, who believe in the true Jesus Christ, who died and rose again 👍

Best Bible app. This Bible app is the best that you’ll get (which makes sense, since it’s been around since the internet began). There are multiple options no other app gives, such as a history of passages you’ve read since downloading the app, the cross reference Treasury of Scripture Knowledge section (shows similar verses based on each word of a verse), and even multiple commentaries (I recommend Matthew Henry, especially if you read the KJV). The interlinear Hebrew/Greek has crashed on me a handful of times, but opening the app again took me right back to the verses I was looking at. There are just tons of features in BLB that aren’t offered in other apps, even tools I haven’t used before because I forget about them. The interface does seem a little older, but it is not bothersome, and most of the appearance is customizable anyways. Have you ever used a Bible app that gives you the option to read two Bible versions side by side, chapter by chapter? This is an example of a feature I would use once in a *blue* moon, but it is still awesome to know I have the option. Blue Letter Bible is the greatest Bible app you’ll get, and for computers their website is even better!

Amazing Study Bible. I just started using this Bible App about 3 weeks ago and can’t put it down. It is so fun and easy to use. You can quickly and easily look up the meaning of a word, read or listen to Bible commentary on whatever you’re reading, listen to the Bible being read to you, cross-reference and look up related scriptures, etc. My favorite feature is being able to record versus or chapters you want to memorize, categorize them by subject, and then be able to press play and listen to them all while you cook or clean, etc. This is a fantastic way to hide God’s Word in your heart in case there ever comes a time when we don’t have access to his Word. You will love this app. I probably don’t even know yet all the other features it may have. :)

BLB Feedback. BLB app is very easy to use and navigate. Finding a book or verse is very easy using the search button. Unlike Kindle, BLB understands the Bible organization. Most books can be abbreviated with the first three letters in the search bar (e.g. Psa 3 for the third book of Psalms). The left and right arrows at the top right side of the screen make it very easy to scroll across adjacent books. BLB also supports audio playback which I find very useful when driving or exercising (navigation to the audio app could use some improvement). The nicest feature of BLB is the ability to change from one version of a Bible to another while maintaining the location (index) of your current reading. If you read something you don’t follow in NIV, just change to NLT to get a more English translation. It does require you to be online for many of the Bible versions so I don’t know if this would work on the plane yet... Great app. I highly recommend it.

Brilliant:. Everything you need for serious study of God’s Word available immediately! Thank You! May you be richly blessed for this amazing work!

This app is worth downloading and supporting financially (voluntary). The language of this translation is sometimes quirky and makes you think. It has an excellent translation comparison tool and good Bible study reference works and search tool. Mr T

Juliet Fynn. I think this is one of the best tools on offer. Love it!

Born again. Having listened to some the commentaries, I find it disappointing that the various preacher water down the born again experience. But hearing the Greek pronunciations gives a great insight.

Excellent resource. I use it all the time. If something comes to you can instantly search to check. If someone quotes a passage the seems bit off, can easily check. Desktop version is good for general read

Best bible app ever. I love BLB. I love to be able to get the Hebrew root words and flesh out the deeper meaning of the text . The commentaries and preaching are great and I found one of my now favourite preachers through BLB. So much great work has gone into BLB. I really appreciate that someone has done this and offers such a great and huge resource. A++

The bible. What a book, the bible is a life transformation in more ways than one ! My English is not good enough to explain it as it should!

Powerful. I love BLB! To have the word of God available in my pocket at all times, coupled with the other study helps available in BLB is a wonderful help. Thank you BLB.

It great!. I love the Blue Letter Bible app. I’ve been using it for a few years and really appreciate the versatility of the app and the depth of the resources.

Great Ap & website. Very helpful tools associated Prefer the classic layout on the website so please don’t cut that. I trust it helps others like it does me to enjoy a closer walk with God as a learner in His infallible Word. Thank you Lord for those who faithfully work behind the scenes to keep this Website going

Valuable Tool. Great tool! I use this weekly in studying for teaching and for preaching.

Crashing. I have enjoyed this bible app for a long time. But for quite some months when I open it crashes!!! I’ve just re downloaded and hoping that improves performance. Or even better if there is some kind of update to fix in the foreseeable future . Thanks.

Crashes. iPhone SE (older one) This app crashes instantly on startup.

The Blue Letter Bible Resource. I use a lot of Bibles. And the Blue Letter Bible is one of them. Easy to use, with good tools to find original meanings. It helps me win the world for Christ.

It’s great and handy. Good search.. Great little app. Good fast Search.

Use it all the time. It has so many features! Very handy for study

Fix it. So this app used to be really great but recently it has been having a lot of glitches and it’s super annoying to use. It could use with a major update

Best bible app ever!!. Found this on the App Store and thought I’d give it a try for the commentaries... but every inside the app is great and useful! The commentaries are amazing and there are so many for each passage of the bible, plus some bible studies you can take, and all version of the bible you can choose from too. 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BLB review. It is a great app with lots of different features to enjoy. There are also no distractions such as videos and pop up ads. Overall, it is a great app.

Go to bible.. I love the Hebrew and Greek concordances and being able to easily compare translations. I get so much more richness out of reading my bible every day.

Love the app. It’s an awesome Bible study tool.. It’s been a wonderful help and blessing over many years

So good. Very simple layout, but amazing depth and functionality and access. To read and study Gods timeless Word. Great app.

i try 12 apps this is the best love it. i try 12 apps this is the best It is very good I write email about traditional Slovak translation I cent any longer download iPhone or iPad Did you take down.

Handy help. When learning NT Greek at college I came to see how English Bible translations have been affected by the theological biases of the translators. That does not say they are wrong, simply that one single English word may not provide the several ideas suggested in the Greek and Hebrew... BLB allows me to quickly view the root word, parsing and several ways the word has been translated in other Bible passages.

Simple yet effective. Great, easy to use app. Recommend at any who like to find out the original Hebrew / Greek words in passages

Brilliant!!!. Gday folks. If you're looking for something that's easy to use and not full of ads and useless clutter this simple yet brilliant little app is for you. Definitely enjoying read Gods word more through this.

Awesome App.. Everything I need for reference is presented. Even Gesenius. I so thrilled when I stumbled onto that. Great job fellas. May Hod bless your efforts.

Blue Letter Bible is a MUST. I love it! The choice of versions, the ability to view in parallel, is great The ability to easily highlight verses in different colours and the easy options to view individual translation versions for any verse is just awesome. Ease of copying verses to clipboard, adding to clipboard to copy out into own notes for my notes comments Well for someone who priviously Just didn’t really make notes on the bible , it is just such a great, helpful tool. Then the extras, audios, commentaries etc I just tell people, it’s the best, you have to get a copy!

An amazing resource.. A wonderful asset in my study arsenal. I appreciate all the work that has been put in over the years and I’m now grateful for this additional phone app.

Great resource. I use this Bible App all the time. Recommend it to all my Bible believing Christ focussed brothers and sisters

Amazing app. This app is brilliant. It makes studying the Bible so easy and portable! Unlocks so much for me. Thank you!

Easy navigation. The Bluebible is a simple to use app. Easy transitioning from chapter to chapter or from Old to New Testament. Notes and sesrch functions make for a user friendly experience.

A great all round app. This bible app is such a great study tool. Nearly everything I need in one place using biblical teachers of the word.

Search facility. Blue letter Bible is an excellent app and I love it. However I have two criticisms of it: (one) the search facility doesn’t put things in chronological order (two) the voice over audio bible moves to fast not allowing it you enough time to think about what’s been said. Thanks, I love the app, keep doing a wonderful job.

My fav bible app, but could be better. I would like the option to purchase some versions currently only available online. I would also like to see the apocrypha made available from within BLB or a similar App. Likewise the Koran would be super useful to search out texts etc. the prefaces from each of the versions would likewise be useful. Still my favorite after many years, and my first choice of study-help.

Great resource - Generally good Greek lexical notes. The Bible app is good. The lexical notes are good mostly and save a lot of time. However definitions of Greek Grammar are sometimes inaccurate (Consult Professor Daniel Wallace - Intermediate grammar course for precision). The lexicons are good also but sometimes skewed to the doctrines of Baptists. This is not objective. The sermons are mostly influenced by Baptists and some Calvinists (and possibly millennialist reasoning also - easily disproved by reference to Christ and the Apostles quotations of the Old Testament. Nevertheless Blue Letter Bible is overall very helpful if used with discernment . 4 stars

Very glitchy now ???. Hey guys the last few updates have not really improved the ease of use, just made it more clunky with too many steps. I preferred it when it was simpler. The search function is really, really clunky and just keeps popping up before and after things all the time, and it takes forever. I usually have to tap things three or four times to even get them to work now. I do have an older iPad but it still should not be this slow, unresponsive and clunky. Awesome app regarding content, but just don't like all the pop up windows and extra steps. Too heavy. I liked it better when it was simpler. I'm sad to say that if this is how it is going to stay and if it is glitching purely because it is too heavy for my old iPad, I may have to find a different Bible app to use. Hope not. :)

Best Bible App for Study. Dictionaries, commentaries and concordance, parallel verses - it has the best easy to use features. My favourite is the inter linear concordance. It tells the verse in its original language, gives Strong’s number, how many times it’s found and where/when it’s used. Amazing:) 💕 thanks!!

Only two problems. I love this app, but there’s two minor things which I hope are changed or fixed soon. My first problem is that this app crashes quite frequently. I don’t know why, or if it’s because of all the text loaded in the app, but it could do with some fixing. About highlighting, it’s quite confusing. I couldn’t figure out to do it until I realised you have to touch the middle of the button specifically, otherwise it just brings up the edit prompt. You can edit the highlight settings in a different category, so I don’t see why it should be there. Especially because it’s confusing to new users. Maybe change it so that it’s a bit obvious? An edit button at the right of each highlight would be more efficient. That’s all, otherwise this is a great app

Best bible app for smart phone. The features and bible studies available within this app are surpassing other bible apps in the market.

I use this App most mornings. I love this App and have shared it with my husband and family. Great to take with you where ever you go Thank you

Love this App. I use this app every day and find it extremely helpful but lately the app is opening up to a blank page and I have to remove it and down load it again. This has happened three times recently.

Search. This is not as good as other search engines but the product as a whole is excellent

A must have. I love using the Bible App. It has some minor issues but not much. For scripture I consider it a must have on my devices.

Indispensable word study aid. I use the interlinear a lot to discover the meaning of the Word in their original language. I find this study indispensable.

Fantastic app.. A truly fantastic app. Has every thing i need, and nothing i don’t.

Best Bible App Ever!!!. Seriously people...this app is the bomb. If your a student of the word or just want to expand your knowledge of the scriptures by using and having access the Greek and Hebrew original text this is app is for you. The search engine is incredible. Just type in any one, two or three words from a verse that you can recall and hit search and it will find it, bang on every time! The concordance is exhaustive and so easy to use. Far easier than any paperback concordance. Finally, access to so many translation comparisons and commentaries all in the one app make the BLUE LETTER BIBLE simply the best Bible app in the world. Thank you Jesus for the BLB! 🙏🏻😊

Best Bible App. Easy to use, has many added features such as different bibles, commentary and allows you to highlight/take notes. Have had for many years and still use it daily.

A must-have resource for every Bible student. I could not study the Bible without this resource. The concordance feature is easy to access and the feature I use most.

Great App. This app has been of great help to my understanding of God’s precious word thank you.

Awesome online Bible. I don’t know how you did but this is the best Bible I have ever used.

Teacher1. Love parallel translations for better understanding! Love getting scriptures by verse or phrase!

Mr. My favourite Bible app includes all the important features and versions.

Great 👍. I Love this little Bible in my Phone helps me to read some Scriptures.

Love the BLB app. Each day I look forward to my daily reading. Having the calendar and the plan help to keep me on track. I delight in rising in the morning and dwelling in the Word of God. This app is a very effective tool. Thank you to the developers.

New verses previous edition. Heaven to say, I prefer the old method of taking notes. The notes were attached with the passage of reference and whenever I turned to a scripture, I could peruse the notes from many messages regarding that passage. This new edition only lists all notes. If my book and verse are not a part of the title, I would never find specific notes.

Great App. recommend for deeper bible study free for use!

Love Blue Letter Bible. My first choice for commentary and explanation to deeper scripture meaning. Love it!!

Incredible resource. I have been looking for a bible study resource for quite some time. I went with Logos for a while but it didn’t have the functionality on my phone that I was looking for. This app is incredible! It fulfills exactly my desire for root word studies and is very easy and intuitive to use. Thank you to everyone working at this organization for the hard work you’ve done to create this app. I pray that others are just as blessed by this as I have been!

A comforting resource. I probably underutilize this app but appreciate the ability to get into the Word when I’m writing or reviewing a passage or looking for inspirational messages …it’s a comfort. Thank you and God bless Team Blue Letter Bible!!!

Colour Highlights Not Working. Colour verse highlighting does not work after the latest update. This was a great app. Why keep tweaking it and making it more complicated? Sometimes, less is more!

multi tool. So thankful that a friend introduced me to this app a few years ago. I don’t have a theology degree but know that the Scriptures have more meaning than the English translation offers to my Western mind. This the main multi tool I use to get a better understanding of the original text. There’s so much to discover! I love how accessible the app is and am very grateful to whoever is making it available for free. Thank you!

Much Appreciated!. The app works great, easy to navigate and with all it’s resources makes studying His word a pleasure. All I need is within this app.

Blue letter is my go to - when in church. I found BLB in perhaps 05’ or 06’, and have been blessed exemplary since!!! When reading the word at home or in church BLB is opened to receive the glory of God and His blessing in conjunction with my journal on abide or pray.com By journaling to God we grow in maturity and become a choir singing in one voice to God. I use BLB to gorge in my knowledge and understand; to help me remember; to journal and cross reference! But, most important in ministry as a tool to disciple others. Giving GOD the glory with gratitude and grace!!! Thank you EVERYONE who is working with or has ever worked for Blue Letter Bible ~ PRAISE GOfG...

Great free resource. I am very impressed with this site. It’s easy to find information and dig down deeper into the text. I definitely recommend it.

God is Good. Amen

My go to.. Agree with last review. Lately it’s been crashing but it is my go to study tool. I love being able to dig deeper into the Hebrew and Greek.

Blb best. Best bible app - my first and only choice for deep bible research Find blb look no further!!

Best bible app. Bar none. Can’t find anything this good for deep studies, version comparison and note taking Thank you God bless

One of the best bible app. One of the best bible app. I like it for its simplicity to use. I like the parallel bible option with various translations and the King James version with Strongs numbers. It’s very useful to my studies and it’s so very handy. I use this always on my bible reading.

Best. This app is perfect for those wanting to know God on a deeper level.

The Most Important App for a sincere Christian. Studying Gods word in depth. Doing proper exegesis under proper biblical hermeneutics is essential to understanding your KJV bible in depth. This app and website makes it possible for FREE!

a very good app. Your software works so well for me. some of much popular apps could never get the parallel versions work. and the abiblity to check strong number and interlinear is a bonus. many little things you did to make bible study easier for me, thank you!

Great functions. This is a great app for many reasons. I appreciate the word search function, the daily Bible reading function, and the audio Bible functions. The Colours are customizable so you can reduce strain on your eyes. A few things that could be better: the app crashes periodically especially when I am listening to audio and try to skip chapters, I think there are some other things that I do in combination to make it crash, I can’t remember exactly what. Also if you want to listen to audio, you tap the main text and it brings up a menu, you scroll down to “listen to audio” or something like that, if you tap listen to audio it brings up another menu but if you scroll on that menu it disappears so you have to scroll down on the first menu and then tap on listen, then you will be able to see the whole menu. I would also love it if I were able to download chunks of the Bible at a time so I could listen off line but I realize there may be copyright issues or it might become a paid app. Regardless I enjoy this app and appreciate the ministry that the people running it are doing!

Blue Letter Bible App. This application is very helpful to me when I am searching for items of interest or to confirm a Scriptural position that I have. Features in this app keep getting better!

Blue letter Bible Aplication. Most comprehensive bible study tool I can find.

Crashy crasherton. My favourite bible app by far, especially for searches. I can’t use it because it keeps crashing as soon as you open it. I’ll delete, download, works again for a couple days and then without warning.... crash. I came back to the app after a few months of frustration with other apps. Worked for a couple days again and then back in the perpetual crashing. Please fix!!

Amazing handy / Eye Opening. This tool is so handy for quick deep bible studies.

Excellent and brilliant. Every conceivable option included. Absolutely brilliant

Easy and extremely useful. I really like this app. It is easy to navigate from one chapter to the next. I can hi-lite verses and make each one a different colour. I can easily search for a verse in any book and find it within seconds.

Awesome tool and free 😊. The BLB app is incredible I’ve used logos for a very long time and had to work around not being able to access things like commentaries, text comparison, languages etc. this app/ website does all of that and more for free thank you so much you guys are amazing. God bless -Joshua

Rev Jack Hawkins. Easiest to use for word search and basic Greek & Hebrew word usage. Especially helpful internationally where no wireless is available. Best search program for finding truth.

incredible + improvements. - it allows text color to be changed ! - i wish it allowed more options for text color ( like light pink ) but i am delighted the feature exists - i wish i could take the customized text color , margins + line spacing and export it to pdf - if you tap with 2 fingers it goes full screen and rids the top and bottom bars , but I have to click like 10 x to get it - i d like it if instead of just a bookmarking option , i could draw on the pg in order to draw light unintrusive dots next to verses - i like that line spacing + margins may be customized

Excellent for study. Really a great app. I can look at two bible translations at the same time, and that helps so much with studying. If you are wanting to dive in the word and go deeper, this app can help you do that. A great study tool. I actually heard about it through a tv preacher that I listen to. Easy to figure things out in this app - which is nice. Thanks for the great app. Works on iPhone 6+ So if you have an older phone it works. That’s a definite plus!

Jewel of a tool. The app is great and free! Only hitch is it keeps losing my place. I would love to continue where I left off.

Searching in Greek produces garbage. Copying a word from a verse in LXX/TR and pasting it into the search bar produces random results. In fact, it is practically guaranteed that the word being searched for will NOT appear in the search results.

Excellent Resource. One of the best resources available to help me with my daily devotions and relationship with God.

Great study tool!. Lately it’s been crashing, but when it does work, this app is my favourite study tool

This is great!. I have used this app for years. It’s great to have all you need at your fingertips. The Word itself in a myriad of translations and versions; the Greek and Hebrew words for reflection. Commentaries and dictionaries. You could do all your study on your phone. It’s free. You can donate if you desire to, but other than a yearly reminder, there is no compulsion. I love the freedom of this and have encouraged others to take advantage of this user friendly app. It will be a blessing to you. Try it out.

Highly Recommend It!!!!. This is a great app and great tool for any bible student.

Good Greek and Hebrew references for starters. Good for beginners to learn how to use the Greek and Hebrew interpretations

Great customizability. Love that I can change font size and colour easily. Offline access is also great, wish it had offline niv but esv is great too!

Love it!. I have really enjoyed this for the years I've had it

Favourite Bible App. I have several Bible apps but this is my 'go to' app. The various versions and updates are appreciated.

Life’s toolbox. Thank you for delivering such a great app that I tend to use daily, along with my other reads to help me gain knowledge and grow in my faith.

This is my favourite Study Bible app. The Inter linear Concordance and Cross References are extremely helpful. Also, the absence of ads makes it possible to just focus on what I’m studying

Versatile. I’ve appreciated the functionality of this Bible app.

Very useful tool. It's worth exploring all the functions of this comprehensive Bible study app.

Reinstall.. Love this app but it keeps not letting me open it. If you have this problem, uninstall and reinstall it.

BLB all around best Bible app!. I have used the BLB app for about 4 years now and have liked it very much. One thing that shines about it is it is completely add free. Let’s keep it that way and give the app owner a little from time to time. I also like the app for my computer browser which is where I started using it back in 2015. It works very well for copying and pasting verses into emails.

When I need comfort!. I have had the App for a few years. I am in proverbs currently. I chose to read the New Testament 2 or more times.I steered my way from Revelations until I decided to make a goal to say I have read the entire Bible. As stated word for word I am in proverbs currently. All of New Testament completed. Read in chronicle order. If it had not been for the app I would not of gotten this far. At 55 years of age. I am reading nightly! No pages rustling around when wife is a sleep. I like the feature to click a word I am not certain of and see the definition and get the understand. Love the App

My favorite phone app. I use this app many times a day and have for years. I love having all the tools and translations at my fingertips. I do word studies, take notes, learned how to use the Strong’s and especially appreciate the commentaries and interlinear. It’s so handy that I keep it docked for quick access next to my email, messaging and phone apps. It’s packed with features and is customizable so I can make it look how I like it. And the developer is responsive when there is an issue. I try to support it with donations periodically because it is so worth it and I want it to stay around.

The Absolute Best Bible App. I absolutely Love this Bible app. I am 49 years old and have struggled my whole life to read, STUDY and Learn scripture. I have shared this app with all my friends and family as well as anyone I meet. There are so many helpful functions, resources and tools in this app from listening to the text, sermons, highlighting texts adding personal notes. Don’t just “try it” Explore the app. Since downloading and using I have read and studied the entire New Testament and I am roughly 1/2 ways through the Old Testament. It is no longer “a chore, a task, a responsibility” it is a deep desire to Study, learn, dissect, understand, absorb and apply the words of God.

Godly appreciation!. For a few years now I have had the opportunity to utilise BLB in my daily routine of reading, studying and researching God’s incredible work I know as The Bible. I believe God’s Will was originally given to men with His Spirit guiding their hearts to record His words and their concepts. His Word is His Will when it is rightly divided (correctly understood through the spirit gift we have been given by The Father.) My gratitude is first to Him and then our lord Christ Jesus for inspiring this tool of study and spirit energizing worship assistance. It continues to help me comprehend His original intent into relatable substance of personal functioning and everyday living. Thanks BLB folks for this blessed tool of study!

Review. I was recommended this app by a fellow studier of the Word, and I made it clear to him how curious I was and many questions I’d bring forth of the depth of the original language and original pure content before translation, etc. and he said to download this app. Ever since then, I have constantly relied on this app for quick searches, seeking out original text, the meaning of that text, and so much more. It can honestly be overwhelming(in a good way) of how many resources this app provides. A very good app to have on any Bible readers phone for so many solid reasons. Praise God for making such smarter people than me to make awesome stuff like this lol

Transformative. The insights I gain from using BLB are transforming not only my understanding of the eternal immutable Logos of Yáwe Elohim they are also “rhema” (revelatory word) that, as I am faithful to apply them in practical ways, are transforming how I live my life. I’ve been studying Logos for over 50 years without understanding what some words really mean. Through the references to Strong’s Concordance imbedded in the text I am learning that there are many words that I never really understood. The explanations of Hebrew and Greek grammar are also very helpful. I seldom miss a day without using BLB. I have multiple notebooks filled with these insights.

Solid bible app. I like the ease of switching between translations. I frequently use the parallel reading pane, so I can see differences between translations. I also like the commentaries that are available. My only complaint is the navigation between books. When studying a particular book, I’m constantly looking up cross-references verses, and i haven’t figured out a way to flip back to the study text without navigating through the top menu. Some of my issue might be “operator error”, but I haven’t intuitively figured out a better way to move between books. Thanks for making a solid app that's easy to use and helps me study God’s word in a meaningful way.

Best Digital Study Tool. I love this app! It allows you to dissect the scripture word for word. You can tap a passage and it will allow you to look at the Hebrew or Greek Interliner for that passage. It allows you to click on each word in its original language and gives you the english definition for each word. Not to mention the brilliant commentary notes they call study guides. These notes are complied and written by David Guizk. They cover each verse in detail and give you other perspectives via quotes from people like Surgeon, Henry, and Kinder. If you are looking for something to help you dive deeper into the word, I highly recommend this app.

Disappointed. I have primarily used BLB app for Bible: reading, study, word searches, word-studies, interlinear searches, and have amassed a large list of highlighted verses in multiple categories. I've used BLB for probably 5+ years and for the last couple of years have made a monthly donation to help support their work. My DISAPPOINTMENT came recently when I realized that most all of my highlighted verses have the texts and the verse cites scrambled--rendering them useless. I brought this to BLB's attention but they apparently cannot or are not interested in fixing this glitch. You may note plan to use this feature and this will not be a problem for you, it is for me! Disappointing because BLB has many good features that I like.

Crashing. I’ve been using this app almost daily for several years now, it’s actually a 5 star app. But today it started crashing and I can’t figure out how to report the crash, so I’m leaving a 1 star review as a last hope of reporting the crashing. I using the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The app was working just fine until I was trying to read the book of Jude in the AMP version. When I use the AMP version with the book of Jude, the app completely shut down and close. I go to the app again to reopen it and it won’t reopen. It does that over and over as soon as I try to open the app, it automatically closes. My troubleshooting methods… I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It was working fine until, until I went to the book of Jude in the AMP version. The first time I uninstalled the app my phone wasn’t up to date. So I updated my phone. Same thing happened again. The app shut down over and over each time I tried to reopen it. I uninstalled the app again after my phone update. Working fine until I try to read the book of Jude in the AMP version. It shuts down and will not reopen. So for now I’m going to uninstalled again then reinstall. And not use the AMP version with Jude. 🚨UPDATE🚨 It’s with the AMP version as a whole the app crashes. Not just the book of Jude.

STUDY PLANS WONT LET YOU PICK WHAT TO READ. I wanted an app that will help me stay on a regular schedule with an alarm reminder to study every morning but I’m not interested in reading the Old Testament right now I only want to read the entire New Testament first since , as Christians , we were freed from the OT and are supposed to follow the new laws. But it doesn’t allow the study of just the NT. How weird is that! They have a bunch of options like Historical or canonical or other stuff but you are forced to read the OT. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because I love the side by side reading of 2 versions since I prefer King James but it’s hard to understand sometimes. Now I have to go find another app. Too bad.

Truly a blessing!. I don’t like reading books of any kind electronically, that includes my beloved Bible. Yes, I am old school. But of course I do like having The Bible at my disposal at any time, anywhere and that’s where the Blue Bible App comes in handy. I LOVE the study resources they have, the commentaries are beyond awesome. Everything is very organized so I am able to find anything on the fly. I like that if I need another translation of The Word, I don’t have to own each, I can just open the app and voila! So when I have too, I do read electronically, and The Blue Bible makes it all possible. Of all the Bible Apps out there, this one is a keeper!

I love this app, but I have a problem.. There is no Bible app that compares in opinion. I seriously do love it, don’t get me wrong. Recently, when I try to highlight a verse, it doesn’t let me. It kicks me out of the app, or just does nothing. It’s really annoying, because highlighting is very important for my Bible routine. I haven’t always had this issue, though. I have no other complaints! I’ve tried several Bible apps, and none compare, so I refuse to delete it. Especially since it has all my previous notes and highlights in it. I also really love the color scheme options! You can design the colors of your Bible anyway you want! I’m a sucker for detailed customization features. I truly love BLB, please fix it.❤️

Love this app!!. I’ve been using the BLB website and app for many years and love all the helpful study tools so quickly available! I use the daily reading schedule to read through the Bible every year, and my 1 suggestion would be to allow you to stay ahead. I usually get ahead of the calendar on my reading and check off where I am, but the app will default to the current date rather than where I have marked. So every day I have to scroll down to where I actually am in my reading. It used to keep your place, but an update, I’m guessing, took that helpful feature away. It would be nice to have that back.

Best default Bible app. This is the standard for Bible software for digital. Blue letter Bible has Matthew Henry commentary all the way to John MacArthur commentary. The software also has a parallel Bible feature where you can look at two translations at one time and also has a Greek and Hebrew lexicon to see the original biblical language languages, you may even have the Bible be read to you with the audio Bible feature. The blue letter Bible is all you need for your Bible studies not just on iPhone but on all of your digital devices. This software is the gold standard for Bible software. This has exactly everything a Disciple of Jesus Christ needs to get the most out of their Bible study. Remember though, to always have a physical Bible but this is still the digital standard.

A most excellent & helpful resource to the Word of our LORD. Highly recommended!. I highly recommend BLB, which I personally use daily: in my devotions, particularly I like the Strong's concordance with the original languages; and references to other passages using the Words; I'm also learning Hebrew daily as I go through the Psalms in my devotion time, along with the pronunciations afforded. After over 25 years of serving our risen Lord ..BLB is my main go to as I prepare to teach His Word; On the commentary side I often refer to David Guzik succinct, accurate & helpful commentaries on the various books when considering a text. I am extremely thankful to the BLB providers & highly recommend BLB to those I am teach.

Best Bible App!. I love this app and the website and have used it for over 20 years. So many great resources including sermon audio, Bible dictionaries, encyclopedias, interlinear tools to study the original text and even Strong’s Concordance to view and hear the correct pronunciation in Greek and Hebrew. One of my favorite things to do is to read a few chapters in my Bible then read a commentary from the late Pastor Chuck Smith about the same passage. Best Bible teacher I’ve ever known and this method has really expanded my understanding of The Bible, especially with difficult texts like Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation and others. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

My go-to. This is a wonderful app! I use it multiple times every day. I have not encountered any problems. I use all the features regularly. The only feature I wish was included is the ability to go back to the previous screen. As it stands now, when I’m in TSK for instance and have clicked on a related scripture, when I’m done with that related scripture and want to go back to where I was in TSK, I wish I could return to the previous screen (the spot in TSK where I had left off), but if I hit back it sends me to the top of TSK and I have to scroll down to where I was previously. This is one improvement that I hope is coming in the future.

Excellent!. This is the best App I have, hands-down. I am so grateful for Blue Letter Bible and the fact that it’s free. I pray the Lord blesses the men who have created this app. I have grown so much from using it. I keep it right next to my bible in the morning and I look words up in the Greek. Then when I’m done reading I find my favorite pastor teacher and listen to his commentary on that subject. I am able to send sermons and special teachings on various subjects to people I am discipling and that has been so helpful. I’m able to print out scriptures and it’s endless how useful this app has been in my life. Thank you so much, I really could not serve the Lord or grown this much in my walk without it🙏🏼😇🕎✝️

A must have for any Christian!. I was really happy when I found out that this app was on the App Store I had found out about blue letter Bible on the Internet on my computer and I have been using it for a little bit and I decided to search out to see if there was anything like it on the App Store and lo and behold I found it this is by far the best Bible study app I have ever found it is extremely helpful in me understanding God‘s word and I thank God for the hands that created this God bless you keep up the good work if you’re reading this review download this app right now you will not regret it!

Joy. I’ve always had Christ in my life I’ve strayed way off the path and by always knowing the truth I’m trying to redeem myself. I feel that I can’t forgive myself but reading and realizing that those sins have already been paid for is something to rejoice in. Hard to actually grasp but it’s joyful to know. I love the lord Jesus and haven’t showed him that always. For that I’m regretful I ask for his forgiveness. By using the blue letter bible it’s easier for me to read and understand his love for all of humanity. Thanks for sharing the scripture and making it easier for me to read ,understand and study. God bless you and god bless the world.

Awesome Free Resource. Not only does Blue Letter Bible give you digital access to numerous translations of the Bible, it gives you multiple resources to dig deep into the scriptures. You can search for specific words or phrases to see all the verses that contain them. The interlinear function allows you to find and research the Greek or Hebrew words behind the English translation. Various commentaries are available to gain different perspectives on what is contained in God’s written word. These are not the only features that it has. The amazing thing is that Blue Letter Bible is free!! I don’t know of any other digital Bible resource that has all these features and is free.

Great collection. I first got this app a couple years back, on the recommendation of Dr. Chuck Missler. It’s been great and I would recommend it to anyone from casual to serious, all the content you could want from Torah to NLT is available. So you can study as hard or lightly as you like. My one complaint, and I understand the why, is that you cannot download certain different bibles, to use for the side by side. This is due to copyright, however it would be handy for anyone who is out of cell or internet range often. Also a good addition would be a text to speech reader, so you can study whilst doing other things that require your hands.

Outstanding Bible App. My wife and I were introduced to the Blue Letter Bible many many years ago and it has become our go to Bible app. It is intuitive and with all of its functionality has become our go to online Bible! It includes a remarkable number of commentaries and other tools to numerous to mention and, while initially it may seem daunting trying to become familiar with all of the tools it has to offer, I believe many if not most users will come to love it as much as we have! Please give it a try if you haven't yet. I don't think you will be disappointed and may God bless you abundantly as you study His Word.

Such a Blessing. Blue Letter Bible is not only a great way to study the Bible in several different versions, and languages, it’s the easiest Bible to give to someone…, I have given several to my Spanish speaking friends, and can read in English right beside them and explain…, I speak a little Spanish, but I can read it, so Blue Letter Bible helps me share the Gospel in another language. It also helps me understand Greek and Hebrew meaning of words.. the Word Love for example, Greek have 4 different words for Love, and understanding the difference helps one grasp scripture more accurately. And don’t forget to donate when you can

Consumes a lot of memory. How good is this app? You can find reading all reviews. It is a good Bible app for all those reasons you would like to be good for ! Different translations in parallel readings, dictionaries, commentaries, notes, bookmarks, narrations, different languages, just about everything and the most important it works! I use it primarily for interlinear readings. I would like to see what kind of Greek words they use for English. ? And what I found recently then whenever I use the app without doing any notes in it just reading and looking up dictionary and linear mode the memory used by app grow from day-to-day. . I don't read my Bible in this app. I read my Bible in the book and only whenever I would like to see a word or a verse in a Greek version I open this app and look up that worse and then still my memory usage is up. I've been using the app for more than 15 years so long I even don't remember when I started to use it and also when I was able, I supported it for a few years by monthly donations .

Great app!

Great App. I really appreciate having such a good bible app. on my phone. It let's me have two versions side by side which I really like. The search feature is amazing. I can search for a verse, a particular word, or all references to a particular person. It will also pronounce words for me which is especially helpful in the Old Testament. It's ad free. Great resource. The one thing I would like to see added is the ability to highlight a particular word or phrase in a verse instead of having to highlight the entire verse, but that's a minor detail. I highly recommend BLB. It's free which I really appreciate, but since I use it so much I'm going to make a contribution to BLB today.

I've used em ALL; Blue Letter is the best bible app.. A few things I love about BLB: 1. the variety of English versions: KJV, NKJV, Young's Literal, original NASB, NASB 2020, NIV, NLT, NET, HCSB, Brenton's English translation of the LXX etc 2. the variety of other languages: several Spanish translations including 16th cent SE / Osos, RVR 1909 & 1960, EM; also has Segond French, Luther's German, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Latin, and on and on 3. the variety of Greek manuscript traditions: Byzantine Maj, Scrivener's TR (though I'd prefer Stephanus), MGNT (essentially like the UBS/Nestle Aland), Westcott & Hort, LXX (OT) 4. It's very very easy to drill down within a verse to a single key Greek or Hebrew word, then pivot from there to any of its other usages in the text. It's almost like a game. 5. Includes parsing, several lexicon entries (old & new), and all kinds of other study tools WITHOUT feeling like they're intrusive into a simple reading experience. 6. Parallel translation display. I'll often put Hebrew Masoretic on the left and Greek LXX to the right reading th OT. To see the Latin or English it's always just two clicks away. 7. It's free and there are no ads. I do recommend donating tho to keep it that way. Peace / Shalom ><>

My #1 Bible App. I love this app and recommend it often. I have a few suggestions for the bookmark feature. I kind of just discovered it and its super close to being really helpful to me when I teach or preach. 1) Ability to keep bookmarks in order of when they we bookmarked. Ability to rearrange verses bookmarked at any time. So they can be in the order I need them in my sermon. Also, the ability to bookmark a verse multiple times in one folder. 2) When sharing bookmarks… if only verse references are visible. Only share verse references. 3) When a range of verses are bookmarked, combine them into one bookmark instead of a separate bookmark per verse. 4) A button on the main screen that will go directly to a default or favorite bookmark folder that way when using this while I’m teaching I can share my screen to the class and it would be a smoother transition to the next verse. Or maybe a “next bookmark” button that would go to the next bookmark in the folder. Just an idea.

Going downhill... Now missing important options.. Removed special notes options like; moving my Psalm chapter notes all at once to my computer - now that option is missing. Many typos. Also, easy of use is diminished - now has too many app layers and is difficult to use. What was a great tool has gone down hill 👎. However, I wouldn’t use any other Bible app, BLB is the best - That’s why I posted no less that a 4 instead of a 5 star. Before it was definitely a 5 Star app, Please add the option to move all my chapter notes to my computer via email all at once. I want to post a 5 star and donate because overall BLB is a big blessing. Thank you, Pastor J Dan

Easy Navigation & Useful Fearures. I’ve used a couple different bible apps and this one is by far the easiest to navigate through. I like that I can look up stuff quickly and can easily compare different translations. Took me a little bit to figure out how to use the highlighter feature. I guess I was just being dense because it’s actually easy to use. I kept trying to click on the icon that looks like a pen (that seemed like the intuitive thing to do) but, you actually tap on the passage number and a list of options / features comes up, scroll down a little and there is the highlighting option. Overall best bible app for my needs.

Best Bible Study App!!~ The Concordance IS still there!. Blue Letter Bible is my absolute favorite Bible app. I specifically use it for the Interlinear/Concordance feature and the side by side translation comparison. It IS also nice to have a Bible with me wherever I go, but not just a Bible. I can’t even count how many thick volumes of information is contained in this little app. I got nervous this morning when I didn’t see the Concordance on the menu, but I read someone else’s review here who mentioned that they had the same trouble and had found it. I’m leaving this review in case someone else has the same issue and also because I LOVE this app!!! Thank you so much for developing and maintaining it!

perfect for simplicity!. This bible app is great for studying scripture conveniently. Verses and books are easy to navigate. Plus, there are even tools to help u understand and break down words that could be difficult to comprehend (such as in the KJV). there are also many different bibles in different languages. u can also customize the background colors or the text size, font, or color such as in case youd rather read in dark mode. best of all, the app doesnt have any ads! and perfect for ppl who are looking for just a simple bible app. i appreciate this app and feel blessed to have found it! if u are reading this God bless i highly recommend to download this app 👌👍

Fantastic App. Having your Bible everywhere you go is a game changer. The ability to have side by side translations and daily reading plans at your fingertips is just the tip of the iceberg! Commentaries, note taking, dictionary, and so much more, this app is full of resources and time saving qualities that help you learn more about God and the thousands of years in Bible time culture to grow your relationship with the Him, just as he made you for! And just a small note outside of the app: You probably can’t have a planned meeting with a global leader, or any celebrity, but you can have immediate access to the Creator of the universe at any moment!
