Is it a scam?. I paid and downloaded the app, which asked me to download from their site the(free) desktop app. I did and the app on my phone would not find the one on my Mac. I tried to open the app on my Mac and it repeatedly crashed. Restarting did not help. Their site does not offer help, not even a FAQ. Google did not help either. Fortunately there is an Uninstall App which after a few error messages seemed to work. I can’t understand that the still collect monies for this app…

Don’t bother. Doesn’t even work period. I had to download the Mac app multiple times and i could not get it to work. Stated that it was the wrong version yet I downloaded from their site. No support for help for a paid app. Not sure how you sell an app that doesn’t work but someone should investigate.

Save your dollar for something else. If you are wanting to use this from a remote location to broadcast a webcam to your home computer for family it doesn't work. You have to be on the same wifi connection as your home computer to be able to do anything with this. When manually entering your home IP address and port from a different network it does not connect.

As good as expected. I'm running mac mini server and the iPhone 4s, and after I figured out how to get the desktop app, the connection worked fine. I am not using it for a webcam, but rather a wireless camera for iStopmotion. It is suitable as a camera, except for the zoom not working in app, and an upgrade from a wired camera. With this and a quality camera stand adapter case iStopmotion can use your iphone.

Scam. As soon as I find a way to request a refund for compete negligence and misrepresentation I am done. It doesn’t work and there is no support anywhere to be found. The developer page is lost and the App Store says it’s not eligible for a refund. Don’t do it don’t do it

Great app, but needs some things. Best app for this purpose I've ever used. There are just some suggestions I'd like to give: the ability to use the flash in the iPhone 4 and being able to use the device in another orientation, like the opposite one or even upright. :)

Don't waste your money!. Couldn't get it to work at all!! I bought the app and downloaded the desktop app on my laptop but my phone can't seem to be able to tell that I have it downloaded on my computer therefore- it doesn't work at all. Don't make the mistake of wasting your money on this like I did. I suggest iWebcamera, I didn't want it at first because of the price, but it works with no trouble at all:)

Very good, but...... It disconnects a lot and lags with higher quality therefore making it useless to use the higher quality features. Please make an update that fixes the disconnecting issues and such. Desktop application needs an update too

Awesome Solution!. Works like a charm - right out of the box (pardon cloud ;-) ). Switching the video source within Skype is such a great feature! I was about to buy the new LOGITECH WiFi Broadcaster (WiFi Webcam) - a 200 US$ web cam - but now with this solution for iPhone & iPad there is simply no need to buy one! Thanks SHAPE team!

works OK most of the time. I bought this app for traveling, so I can skype home using my iPhone as a webcam and not have to bring along an extra web cam. It works great! it is a beautifully simple piece of software to use. The only disadvantage is that using Wifi is dependent on the host connection, and often times the webcam and computer are competing for bandwidth. I wish the webcam was tetherable via the Apple/USB dock connector. That way I could plug in my iPhone, use it as a webcam, and use Skype on a wired ocnnection which would ensure a higher quality call. Perhaps this can be fixed in an update?

When it worked, it was great.... it completely stopped working now. the connection would fail out on my phone, then the desktop application would lock up and force a close. no amount of restarting either app or device made any difference. I've uninstalled this waste of money from my pc and iphone/ipad now. I'm done fighting with it, I may as well buy a regular webcam, or find a better app.

Great app!. Running this on my iPad 2, and I haven't had any issues! I haven't had any lagging issues, devices (including my pc) freezing, etc. Works BEAUTIFUL with Stickam. Worth the money people!

Works! Totally cool. Super super great deal if you're looking for a quick way to get a web cam .. I have an iPhone 4. Don't have a webcam anymore so looked around at a few to read reviews and decided to purchase this one. Get the app and the computer install they tell you, and it works! Yes it has audio, but you only hear it after you record a segment and then go to play it back. So not while you're recording.. At least if you're just trying it out like I was for the first time right now.. Not sure about messengers like Skype (don't use those type of thing). Simple and no bs, worth it for what it does!

Unlike all the other crap ones it actually works. Took 5 minutes to setup, works like a charm and hooks easily into applications. Nice job.

Geeked Out!. I'm thrilled that I can make my iPhone a webcam with this app. I don't video chat very often so I didn't want to purchase a normal webcam. That would have run me $20, $30, $50 or more. This is only a few bucks and it works great. I just used it in Google+ Hangouts. It took me a minute to realize that I needed to change the mic input setting on my Mac, but once I figured that out, the video and audio transferred perfectly. What's even cooler is the fact that all this is wireless! I also like how you can change the video quality. For anyone that may have downloaded this and thought the streaming video quality was bad, you can change that in the settings. Is it the best webcam ever? No, you can buy really expensive HD webcams. But for the money and convenience, this app is perfect.

Excellent app- used on iPhone 4, iOS 7.1.2. I recently came into possession of several old iPhone 4’s. I was interested in turning them into IP cameras, but so far, nothing had worked. I didn’t expect this to, but I was pleasantly surprised. The resolution is low, but for the hardware that it is running on, it’s pretty good. If you run into problems setting it up on windows, go to settings -> windows firewall -> allow apps thought firewall and check all of the mobiola and bonjour service boxes. 10/10 excellent program.

Works on my iPod Touch 4G. Good resolution at low setting with front and back cameras. Lags with medium and high resolution. Landscape orientation only - It would be nice if it could be used while iPod is in portrait orientation, as when docked. Easy Windows XP installation, but I had to hunt for the download link. RH

Good in a pinch. Ran this on my 3GS when I needed an extra webcam at my place of work. Video quality was okay and the mic on iPhone worked well. Not sure if it was the app or the connection...but the audio would occasionally cut in and out. Basically, it's a good webcam for the $3. ***Just a heads up...the iPhone and your computer need to be running on the same wifi connection.

Better than the built-in cam on my notebook. After downloading, and being really disappointed with another cam app, I gave this one a try. The download link for the driver on the dev's website didn't work for me, so I sent them an email, and they very promptly replied with a link that did. Once the driver is installed, the app pairs with your computer (a Windows notebook in my case) easily and produces a high quality images and good frame rate, In the 3 weeks I've used it, I haven't come across any cam based websites that aren't compatible with it. Like any app that uses the camera, it can drain your battery quickly, so best to charge your phone while running it if using for an extended time. I'm stoked - great app, responsive developer, and where else can you get a webcam for 3 bucks?

Needs USB compatibility.. This seems like a useful app, but it would be more of potential use to me if I could connect it to my computer and use it as a webcam that way. I have a big house, and instead of using the wifi which barely reaches my room, I use an ethernet cable from my wall to my computer. I don't even know if it's a possible change, but it would be nice if this became available in a future update. Keep up the great work, guys.

Pretty darn good. Okay so the common perception of this app is that its horrible, well i am not involved with the app i swear yet i find the app overall pretty effective, i can do omegle for long periods without it giving me one problem, perhaps the reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is there could be more work done on the video quality and frame rate. Overall good app that does what it says, saves having to buy webcam and software and all that crap.

Great app. Works great for me, and it's so much cheaper then a regular webcam, the setup is a little confusing, but other than that i've used this app for oovoo and skype so far and it works perfectly

Love it!. I don't know about all the people who say its capture rate isn't sufficient, it's choppy, etc. I think the issue for them is wifi or something because this app works just how it's supposed to-your phone becoming a webcam for your computer! I've used to so far with Skype, stickam, and OMEGLE and have no complaints. Love it love it love it-definitely worth the 3 bucks. (:

Average. Frame rate is slow but usable except in high quality mode. Really wish I could use this app with a USB to stream the video because it would be easier for me. Also wish I could turn the screen of my phone off when I use it. There is no point wasting the battery and heating up the phone when I am just using the camera.

Worked 100 % for me.. Maybe some people are just not that tech savvy, this app worked awesome for me.

Works great! Does exactly what it says.. Here's my system: - 2010 MacBook Pro 17 running OS X 10.6.8 - iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.5 (8L1) Installation was incredibly easy and worked perfectly with no stumbling points. It automatically detected the desktop software and was set up in seconds. I was able to see my video stream on my desktop in about a minute. The frame rates at medium and high resolution are not fantastic (720p is just 2-3fps) but I imagine that has more to do with network speeds than anything else. This is incredibly useful as a tool to see into tight spaces. With the ability to turn on the flash light while it's in operation, you can see if your keys really are behind the fridge, etc. The only thing that could really use improvement is giving the Desktop software the ability to display the video steam at the resolution it's coming in at. The window is very small, even at 720p. I have not tested this app with any other applications as I'll be using it as a diagnostic tool to perform timing adjustments on my old Porsche. It's really hard to see the timing marks deep in the engine bay, and I was looking for a way to put my phone in the engine bay and adjust the timing by watching my laptop screen. This will work perfectly. All in all, does exactly what it's supposed to with a very simple interface. For a coupe dollars this is absolutely, completely worth it. Thank you guys for making this app!

Non functional. For this app to function, it requires a separate app be installed on a Mac, so they can sync and be used in tandem. I tried accessing the website specified to download the companion app. The website is not up or functioning. I immediately sent an email to the apps tech support asking for assistance. This was a month ago and I still have not heard anything. Do not buy! It is a scam!

Cheap Webcam. I have tried this app out with Windows Vista: all works as advertised. For those of you who complained about lack of front facing camera support- it is there - just click on tool button and choose from or back camera. BTW for the next update, please bring the dedicated button to switch between cameras up front. About the quality: this is not your 1080p fancy HD cam, but none of the iPhones cameras are. On the medium setting the quality is acceptable. For some reason when I moved to the room with no router, connection dropped. There is always a minor connection issue: app complains that your computer is firewalled when in fact it is not. All in all not a bad replacement of the USB cam that costs ~$45-50

Best Webcam App on the Market. I don't know what everyone's issue is with this app. This is literally the only app that allows use of your phone camera as a webcam in-browser via Adobe flash. I've found some similar apps that work in Skype but never via flash. Epoccam is trash, every IP cam I've tried is trash. This thing is hands down the best. I had it up and running in 5 minutes and that's only because it required restart. The quality is equal to 1080p cams, I see it, and the people I talk to see it. There's literally never even been a second of lag or a blimp in audio, its perfect. I'm shocked how low reviewed this app is because for me, it works amazingly well. I'm running it on an IPhone7s, and on a windows 7 partition in a Mac, direct LAN with 50mbps connection, nothing fancy, in fact quite dated. Apple/windows integration is usually spotty at best but again, this app came through. Can't recommend enough!

Great!!. This app is so great, just what you need for an affordable price and not going to any electronic store, it works pretty well, maybe not the best quality but it is pretty fair for the usage you can do, five+ stars for this app.

Great Success!. Works as advertised! I just got the idea to use my iPhone as a webcam and sure enough there are two apps. I downloaded this one and iWebCamera. It seems like this app has more features and flexibility, and it was a tad cheaper too. Also, I like the promise of the upcoming sound support (this will add the 5th star if well executed). There is a slight delay in the video which I expected due to the fact that it's streaming over wifi. I'd love to see an option to use the usb cable (maybe that would speed up the transfer?). Glad I bought it!

IDFK what other peoples problems are. This application has done me great justice for years. These other folk just don't know what the French toast they are doing. I voted it awesome because it does what it's supposed to do just fine.

Works great. Using my iPhone 6+ as a web camera in obs to stream to twitch. No lag, looks great, and I can mute it. Shows up in every program I use as a webcam just like a normal webcam. (Tested with xsplit, obs, and ffsplit).

Frame rate drop. Great app over all, just when I go up to high resolutions my frame rate drops and that can't happen for my needs, but it may be my slow laptop being stupid. If a patch goes out that the data streams through the USB cord so it doesn't drop frames or a path goes out that corrects that issue for slower computers that would be great. So for now 4 stars until the issue gets corrected.

Great App! Works great!. This app works like it should. I can connect my iPhone 5 to my desktop, and use it in many applications, such as OBS and Skype. Any problems others may have with low FPS in higher quality, can be explained by saying they don't have a very fast connection to their desktop computer. I myself cannot use 1080p without having a small delay. I hope the developers can make it to where it can connect directly through USB.

Crap. Slow and poor quality. Even when I create a network on my Mac and connect my iPhone directly to it, the video quality is extremely poor. I can get better quality over a FaceTime call, and this isn't even traveling over the Internet. 1080p and even 720p is useless as the frame rate drops to about 3fps (and that's a pretty generous number). But worse still there is no USB functionality to make up for what's lacking in wifi. On top of that the desktop app is very buggy and has crashed several times in the first few minutes of using it. Don't waste the money. They only reason this deserves 2 stars is because the low resolutions, while being extremely poor quality, still have decent frame rates and it (barely) does what it's advertised. I really wish I could get my money back.

Works Great. Downloaded on Iphone, Powerbook, and Imac and everything worked right off. the only trouble I had was when I had it on high quality picture on the iphone then it would lock up. Best is on Low for capture quality. I like it and recommend it.

Works very well!!!. Did everything I wanted it to do, makes a great webcam! You can use it for anything! For those saying it doesn't work remember to download the computer app from their website. When you download the app it gives you the message to do it.

Good app (if you actually read & follow the complete installment instructions). Downloaded the app, followed the instructions on how to connect it to my pc, works great, and connects right away! Video quality is also good. Don't think this app deserves a bad rep for those who probably didn't do all the necessary steps

Doesn't auto reconnect. I was hoping to use an old iPhone as an unattended webcam, and this app looked like it might be perfect for the job. It works as advertised, but if the connection between the phone and the server drops (happens with some regularity) the phone makes no attempt to automatically reconnect. You have to tap on the server name to get it to reconnect, making it unacceptable for unattended use.

Save your money for Facetime or a web camera.. Recording your video directly to a laptop might be useful but until this app gets an upgrade it seems inadequate as a replacement for an external USB camera. It's just easier to carry your laptop around than to deal with herky-jerky third party interfaces. The potential is there though! Why not make this a more robust application? I'd gladly pay 5 bucks for all the buzzers and bells including USB interface and realtime processing of video (like the built in mac). My camera (built in USB bus on the laptop) isn't working for some reason.

Yuck. Bought despite the negative reviews and I am not impressed. After restarting my computer to try and establish the same wifi connection (totally annoying) I found the program to be extremely slow in streaming videos. Definitely not good for webcamming with friends.

Not working in other Applications.. I use Mac OS X Lion (10.7), and I just tried this out with my iPod Touch 4G. Downloaded the Mobiola app for the Mac, and it shows up fine on that application. But when I go to Skype or any other webcam app, it displays "No camera detected". Is it possible to fix this?

Buggy and crashes often. This could have been a great app, problem is, when used with thier Mac desktop viewer/recorder, it crashes often, very often in fact. The low quality video modes work better but look so bad they are useless, the HD mode is jerky and the sound stutters so much that it is useless. Can't blame it on my Mac or my iPhone, they are top of the line. (iPhone 6plus and Mac Pro). Save your money, go download any of the baby free cam apps instead.

Very Good Start. App installed quickly on my iPhone 4 as did the necessary software onto my MacBook running Snow Leopard. The two devices found each other and "just worked!" Until I went into setting on my computer that is. Can't do that, it crashes every time. I wonder what is there? I hope to find out after the next update! I'm happy with this product as a very good start and I have high hopes that they'll develop it into a great product!

Doesn't even work. I got it to work the first time I used it but my auto lock went on when I was try to get my computer to recognize it as the webcam anywhere other then the pc resource that comes with. Anyways after that first time connecting any time I try to connect to the pic the app crashes on the pc side every single time the second I hit connect

Works Perfectly. Since the reviews are all over the place I thought I should put in my experience. In short, perfect. I am using it on an iPhone 4 to stream video and audio over a wifi network to my Windows desktop computer that is on the same network. There is very little delay and the video quality is amazing. This program does provide real time video and it works. I see this is not everyone's experience, but it has worked flawlessly for me, so I thought I should let people know.

Low quality. Not worth buying. similar but free software works better

I was wrong.. Picture is green and there are no settings to change resolution. Using USB connection - computer does not have wireless. Is that the issue with quality? Direct connection should be better, I would think. Revision: it was horrible the first day- I sent a note to support. They never responded by email, but the program updated and it works perfectly now.

Obselete. The MAC/PC file required to download this and use is no longer available. The developer’s page is no longer up and running. Paid almost AUD$10 for this app to find this out in the app.

good but.... nice but mac app crashes when switching to video mode

Terrible picture quality. Don't waste your money, go and buy a portable webcam instead. Picture quality is very poor and it is not compatible with many programs so renders useless to me. I asked for my money back and I have heard nothing from the developers.

Out of date. This apps Support page shows iChat. iChat is not supported in most recent Mac OS. Get with it. It is FaceTime now. FaceTime will see mobiola 's mic which is better than nothing I suppose. Same with skype it "see's" the mic but not the phone. Obviously the developer hasn't put the work in to support changes made in mountain lion. You can record video to qt movie but only at medium or low not hi. If you try recording hi Rez the computers app crashes. Not good enough especially for the price! It should be $1 not $5. I give it one star for work done and another star for its potential. This could be a great app if it worked fully at all resolutions. Improve it and take it to its full potential please!!!

Outdated, disinterested support. The PC software doesn't work with Windows 8.x and their support guys have no interest in helping to get it working. Windows 8 is almost 2 years old now... get with it!

Mac App Crashing. Hey the app is crashing each time I go to video. :(

Only works with wifi. I use USB to connect my phone to my computer, this app only works with wifi, not sure why. So, my fault for not reading enough but still disappointed that I can't use my iPhone as a web camera. Better to spend the money on a bad cup of coffee and keep using Yahoo Messenger video calls for free.

Amazing but could do more. Such a great app.. All I would add is iPad capability to make most of the lack of a camera on the iPad itself *update: apparently iPad compatibility isn't possible.. But still a great app and 100% customer relations, quick to answer any query (satisfied customer... Check)

This app is not practical use at all. It can't connect iPhone with Computers by USB or Bluetooth. It connects to your computer by WiFi only. USB webcam is more useful and practical.

Best app ever. You can use this as a webcam or a spy cam it streams to your computer anywhere you have wifi or 3G it's great to spy on your siblings to.

Great App.. Setup is a breeze, works straight out of the box, had to hunt a bit to find the link for the PC Componant but no probs. after I found it.

Very bad streaming and lost connection all time. If I could ask for a refund it would definitely be for this app. It loses connection with the desktop app every time the iPhone is locked + the image quality is so bad. Don't waste your money on this :(

Want money back. Terrible pic quality, worse than the free EpocCam app, plus for the $ I assumed the aspect ratio wouldn't be 4x3

Brilliant!. Does what it says. Turns iPhone into a webcam. 3 levels of resolution up to 1920 x 1080. Will even record. Setting up was immediate and painless. A free OS X app must first be downloaded and run with iPhone app concurrently. I use it to monitor an environment. Camera must be placed within range of wifi. Can't understand why this app is not more widely known. Highly recommended.

Works well- few bugs but recommended. Works well- setup is easy enough, and I was using Skype for a video chat which worked brilliantly. However I should note that there is no sound recorded, which is noted as a future update. The app did drop out the connection a few times but never during a call. Fix a few bugs and this will be essential for around the house video calls.

Needs update for Mac. Great app when I used it on windows 7, not all features working on iMac Sierra

This app is great!!!. Sure it crashed when recording video at high res, but lowering the res worked. Good enough for a review as while you can notice some pixellation from the video encoding, the frame rate was excellent apart from in 1080p off the rear camera which is fair enough. If debs read this.. What would make this even more better if there was an 'always on top' feature in the client apps. Good stuff.

Needs audio support (for Windows). Works as advertised. 720p recording is too choppy to be useful (on a dual core). NEEDS AUDIO SUPPORT to be worth using.

Can not communicate. I have iPhone 4 and MacBook Pro. All installed ok and still can not communicate at all.....

Garbage. This program is brutal. Definitely not worth the money. It crashes and the options are ridiculous. OBS programs max it out at 320p lol. Epoc cams a ivcams would be the way to go instead of this junk.

Its not true. I tried its free to chat wid yahoo on wifi ...... Its great app...LOVE IT & MUST BUY ...dont wast ur 50 to 100$ on wireless accessories..its just awsome

Good. It's a pretty good app. It does its job sure it lags a bit but I really didn't expect and more from an iPhone app of this type. I would not suggest this app if you want a full time webcam. I got this app because I like being able to switch my laptops webcam to this for more flexibility in where I can move. If give it 3.4 stars but I can't haha

First one to review. I'm the first one to try this app and I'll say it is ok. It is good because it does what it says record video that can be streamed to computer. Also you can use both cameras, front and back But there is no audio, none. Plus it is a bit laggy, but what do you expect when it is streaming over wifi. All in all grab This app while it's on sale if you don't mind no audio. (I was going to use it to Skype but no audio)

Needs work, don't buy yet.. MacBook Pro with an iPhone 4: Video is choppy, only useable at lowest resolution (192 x 144) which is worse than my laptop's webcam. Does not record audio. When recording video at 1280x720(iPhone back camera) the file is saved as just 320x 240? All video files are saved at that. Good for taking pics, that's it.

Usable but limited by wireless.. I tend to use the webcam at max 640x480 for optimal framerates. The problem is that data from the camera seems only able to transmit via wireless, so quality of video and audio transmitted is largely limited in this respect. I tend to avoid using the mic while using video for this reason, instead using a USB mic.

Not bad at all. Had NO problem installing this and the desktop software to my i7 PC running Windows 7. Worked great on Skype and FaceBook video chat and my iPhone also acted as the microphone so the other party could hear me. Thier voice came thru on my PC speakers just fine. Video wasn't choppy, even at full screen and quality depended on the lighting. It will eat your iPhone battery up but was easy to just plug in the iPhone's USB cable to the desktop and it worked perfectly for a 3 hour video session on FaceBook video.

Does not work. I just wasted 7 bucks. It tells you to go to mobiola.com for the driver, but it doesn’t exist. I finally found their website, but can’t find the driver at all. Save your money and avoid this app.

Just what I expected. Works perfectly with Yahoo! Messenger. Can't wait for sound support to come to PC. That is the only improvement I can think of.

Not working with IOS 6.1.6. I have been unable to get this app to work on IOS 6.1.6 even though it states supports IOS 6.0 and newer. Also i have had no response from Shape support despite submitting several sjpport requests.

Excellent. It works like a charm very easy to use windows 7 friendly just like real web cam plus you can use this one wireless :) pretty cool.

Doesn't work.. This app is absolutely terrible. I read some reviews that were very positive thinking that it would work for me. Well, it didn't. It captured maybe 2 frames before it just froze. I had frequent disconnects. This app is not worth $4.99. I can't believe I wasted my money for it...

Useless App. On Mac connected , video streaming from iphone to Mac but into settings of Skype or similar app it's doesn't show like camera so it's useless, on PC another picture, it doesn't even connect, but u can see whis app in camera settings like Skype... Useless app!!!

Works flawlessly. This worked instantly and flawlessly for me. Great solution. Windows 7 64bit. iPhone 3GS. Audio and video are good to go.

Mobil’s website down!. So I purchased this app for $4.99 and you have to DL a web client for your PC to work. They give you a link but the website is down! 🤬 I want to DL from their website not these others who are probably putting viruses in it. 😡

Nice but needs work. Pros Easy to use Great as a webcam for a PC Does HD on my iPhone 4 Cons HD video is choppy Doesn't have support to use the LED Flash Connecting to my PC was very finicky. (The iPhone doesn't always sees the computer but I have to quit and relaunch the app sometimes to get it to connect. Once it connects it seems good) Oh and Kevin Bacon isn't mentioned or pictured anywhere. (I Love Kevin Bacon)

It's great app. I like it a lot I set it up it worked great for me but I can't use my ipod4 mic while using the app (I.e. There's no audio)! Please update soon

I regret ignoring the others reviews. Not only is this a horrible app (reasons listed below), it also broke my existing Logitech web cam and messed up the drivers. Now my Skype doesn't work along with any program that uses web cam. Why is this app horrible? 1. It runs super hot on the phone (mine is iPhone 6s Plus) 2. Runs super slow on the phone 3. Images captured and sent to pc are actually upscale and are nowhere near the quality captured on the phone 4. As mentioned above it breaks any existing web cam drivers / programs 5. Cost $4.99 for a piece of ... you know what Demanding a refund...

Definitely a homescreen app. Got it on sale, but it's definitely worth its regular price! Love it!!

Is there a ZERO STAR option?. After paying for and downloading the iPhone app, I found out that the web site to download the Mac or pc component (required for this product to work) is no longer available, and has been discontinued. This is now worthless.

Complete waste. In 45 minutes of battle this app has never functioned for more than 30 seconds. I need an app that runs for hours unmonitored, not something that requires babysitting to restart 3 times a minute. Totally worthless and a complete waste of $6.

Works great with google plus.. I used this with google plus and it worked great. Thanks for a great app.

Simply Doesn’t Work. Can’t get any applications to recognize the camera, after the iPhone successfully connects with the WebCamera application. I'd no problems with a previous version. It’s been nearly a week since I’d sent an email requesting a refund through this company’s support page. I’ve heard nothing back. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Still won’t work in El Capitan. The app requires a free downloadable app on the laptop/desktop side, but the current one, recently updated for El Capitan still won’t work. Looking forward to an update that works so I can update my review with proper number of stars. At moment I have a completely nonfunctional app...

Performance. Was easy to setup but once it did, it slowed my entire computer down and froze up every 5 seconds, no exaggeration. High quality mode is junk! 2 stars is generous!

Website doesn’t exist..... Read the comments but thought “hey how bad could it be?”. The answer is bad! Went to download the Mac app and the website doesn’t exist. Every 3rd party download site only has PC, no Mac. How do I get my 5 bucks back?!?!?

needs this features. This app needs iphone 4 front facing camera surpport and also needs landscape and portraite mode surpport would be rated 5 stars when this features are added

Apple Should Remove This App. The desktop portion of the app does not work by not connecting to an iphone. Moreover, the user interface is tiny and looks very unprofessional. The 4.99 charge for the phone App is a complete rip-off. Apple, you should be ashamed - along with SHAPE Gmbh.

Extremely disappointing. It appeared to work ok... But video can not be captured in any quality. The limit is 320 x 240, which is simply not good enough... The I find they have had this limitation for a number of years Get your act together and fix this problem!

Terrible. This app and the partner app on my windows desktop did not work but twice, and there have been network errors since, and the desktop app crashes consistently. Waste of money, don't buy this app.

Don’t use this. The website to get The desktop app is down. I have written to support and gotten no response. The app can’t be used without the desktop companion. Waste of money. I would love to get my money back but don’t know how. Hugely disappointed. This app should be pulled from the App Store if you can’t get the companion software needed to make it work

Unusable. Unusable. Cant download the desktop client. Their website is horribly slow. 1 hour to download the client. That was after waiting 10 minutes for it to finish coming up. I give up.

help on oovoo?. it connects perfectly from iphone/ ipod to computer. I just dont know how to get it to work on oovoo. It never shows up in chats. Any help? a suggestion would be nice. Thanks!

WASTE!!!!. This app doesn't work. It won't connect to my laptop automatically or manually. It keeps saying make sure you're entering the IP address correctly. I'm looking at it, I'm definitely doing it correctly and it isn't working. Waste of time.

Worst paid app ever. Complete rip off. Never worked once. Mac app won't even run now. Months ago when I first tried it, it ran, but wouldn't show up on Skype as a web cam option, and when I left it running as a security camera, it would only run for a couple minutes before cutting off and need to be reconnected. Now the Mac app won't even open, after I have freshly downloaded and installed it again. What a rubbish company Mobiola is. Now I use a free app which works perfectly. Wish I could get my money back on this one.

Clever app!. Easy install on Win7, ran it over wifi without a problem.

Does not work with Flash or Any App I ‘ve Trued. The iPhone App easily connected to the desktop application and works fine. However, the program on the laptop does not interface with Flash and present the iPhone as a possible camera. The internal camera in the laptop works fine. Therefore, I believe it is the desktop program. CUSTOMER SUPPORT DOES NOT RESPOND.

Works perfect with FaceTime. I'm in a Starbucks now and wifi seems to be overloaded. This app works though. 👍🏾

Amazing. Got it just for fun, but it turned out to be one of those few apps I use on daily basis. Wireless streaming works very well with Skype on Mac!

Why won't OS X see it as an available camera???. Seeing as you have to install a server app on my mac, why not just write the software so that the OS sees it as an available camera for use in ANY application? weak sauce.

Big fat 1 star. Wanted to Use this as a WebCam on my private network. Installed the desktop application then why on earth does it need to connect to someplace on the Internet? IP address lives someplace in Germany. There is no contact information on the website so this app goes…

Nowhere near ready for primetime.... Desktop app constantly crashed. Couldn't connect via wifi, said to lookout for firewall when there was none. Did NOT work with skype when it finally did connect. This is why they need either trial apps, or refunds in the app store. Take your 4.99 and put it toward a regular USB cam.

DON'T BUY IT!. Slow and choppy, specially at 720p. Where's the performance improvement of this version? Support said that the speed will improve while keeping bluetooth off; that didn't work! Additionally it "seems" to stream in 720p but the recorded file is 320x240!!! What a rip off!!!

Used to work, not anymore.. App has stopped working. It will still connect to the desktop application, but no longer pushes to other apps (Skype, Chrome, etc). Developer’s customer support is completely unresponsive.

Like it a lot. This is a really good app does what it says it's perfect for oovoo when you don't have a camera!!

What happened?. This was once a great app, but it stopped working on my computer. It would come up in the program, just not anywhere else.

Lacking. The program does not function right off the bat for everyone and the simplistic FAQ and little information online makes it near impossible to troubleshoot. Wish I could have gotten my money back. Bottom line, poor compatibility with all computers.

Virus in the desktop client. The app works for medium and low quality streams but starts malfunctioning with the high quality stream. After installing the desktop client my computer has been crashing a lot. This is not worth $5, please do not buy this terrible app.

False advertising. Doesn't work on OS X as a webcam. Apple should take this app off the store until the description is accurate. Shape Gmbh own support admits that in OS X doesn't work as a USB camera and does not support Skype, Flash, Facetime or any other Mac OS X application that uses a standard video source. I'm asking a refund right now.

Waste. My sound no longer works on my computer and after I uninstalled the program it still had its signature in my audio controls. Video works ok I guess.

Worked, easy, low res. I made the mistake of trying full-screen hoping the resolution would be higher and can't reach the corner to resize the screen anymore. Stuck in low red, can't use with other apps. Sorry I paid for this. I should have read the reviews. Don't do it. It ruins such a great camera.
