Essential to organizing school events.. Just used this app to organize our neighborhood pool party. It couldn’t have been easier, and everyone has a great time.

New App - Color Me Happy!. I organized our city’s student art show with Signup and it was so easy. Their new app made it extra easy to see my volunteer list on exhibit day and to send messages to select people with last minute requests. I like the look - super clear for my (older) eyes. My volunteers think I’m a genius for using SignUp as we are so very organized.

Don’t recommend. I wasted 2 bucks in this. It’s literally the website but worse. Most of the buttons on this app take you tot the website defeating the purpose of the app. So annoying. Unless you are MAKING an event, this app is definitely not worth it. Devs, please make this better and ACTUALLY worth a volunteer’s money.

Not worth it. This app is so frustrating and not at all intuitive or user friendly. Biggest issues are changing a date of an event is beyond time consuming. Trying to manage your volunteer spots as well as an organizer is just not possible. I spent hours to create one event. Sending out emails directly from site did not work again and again so I had to copy the link and send an email. I could have just sent an email.

Potluck. Potluck is something that I enjoy . There are so many food to choose from and I love it .

App useful for volunteers but not organizers. This app had basic features. Is not intuitive. Have to spend a lot of time experimenting to figure out features. Could be more useful for organizers.

OK app but requires login every time. If this were something involving money, I could understand the extra security. But making me memorize my password (1 of about 200 I have) makes it super annoying to use. Other apps don't require this. Why do you?

Great app but can't send requests. This works well from a volunteer's perspective, not so much from an organizer's. You can't send requests to help from the app, nor can you send messages to helpers. Maybe they will add this in an update???? Other than those shortcomings, it works well and you can keep tabs on who has signed up.

Horrible Interface. It is very annoying that I have to log in every single time that I try to access the app. It would be nice to be able to save my login or at least use the Touch ID. The interface is clunky and you have to click on too many links to get to the actual signups. Plus you can't clearly tell what slots have been filled and what hasn't from a holistic monthly approach.

No better than website. This app offers no better features than using the website. At least with the website it will remember your login, with the app it does not. I do value the ability to schedule volunteer opportunities with school, but I wish it were a more efficient tool.

Room for improvement. volunteer list is not alphabetical on app version, making mobile access less convenient. Also on app volunteers cannot be added without an email addresses, very inconvenient when managing a crowd of senior volunteers.

Oneg at Temple a breeze. Many of us are older and we find SignUp easy to organize and sign up to bring a variety of cookies, cakes, fruit and cheese platters to our weekly post service gathering at our synagogue!

Terrible. I organized several events for our school. I was so hopeful this app would save me time by being able to create events on my phone or tablet instead if my computer. But it is constantly saving the information I enter incorrectly. If I create several “spots” and go back to edit one the app automatically overwrites the information I have entered from one spot over another. I can’t trust anything to end up correct. I’m not sure if it just hasn’t been updated for the device I am using or what.

That was easy!. Signed up for my kids swim team on the go and uploaded my shifts into my calendar. This was super easy. Thanks volunteerspot!

Worked on one device, but not another. The App worked at first, it was limited, but it did what I needed it to do. However, I changed phones and downloaded the app. It does not work. I can get to a day to see which shifts are open (in functions I am organizing) and it gives an error. The explanatory text of the app purportedly designed specifically for mobile devices actually says "can you please try back later or try from a regular computer (instead of this tiny screen) to complete your actions." Wow.

Love the new app!. The layout makes it easy to find the schedules I manage and to see my own volunteer shifts. I highly recommend this app if you're the one responsible for managing volunteers.

Waste of money. You have to sign in every time. It’s easier to go to the free desktop site.

Almost useless. Why can’t I see the information I asked for from participants on the app??? Why bother giving me a list of participants who have signed up but no information about what exactly they’re bringing?? This is almost useless.

I should have listened.. It's actually easier to just go through the internet browser. I should have taken the advice of previous reviews and saved my money. There's no advantage to having the app as it looks the same in my internet browser, but there I don't have to keep entering my login info.

Much more convenient. I like this app, so far. It's much easier to use on my phone than going through the web browser and it keeps it simple. I can easily see what I'm signed up for, without having to click a load of stuff and trawl through info.

Great app for a great service. Volunteerspot makes it so much easier to manage volunteer run events and this app saves me even more time! Thanks so much.

Could use an update. Its been 2 years.... The web interface is great folks. This could really use a tune up. I imagine more and more folks are using your software (imho it beats the mainstream competitors) but an app companion for when users are away from a computer would extremely helpful.

Easiest way to herd cats. Got all my neighbors signed up in a few days for our huge HOA picnic. It was really easy to list what help and food we needed and then to send a link in our listserve news. The event was a success and everyone pitched in. There were even designated people on clean up crew that actually stayed. I’ll for sure use signup next year.

East Carolina University is trying to use this website. I wish this app will allow me to find where my teachers are posting their sign-up sheets. I believe this app only lets me see what I have already signed up for. I cannot search for other things to sign up.

Terrible app. Don't waste your time and money with this app. It is no more than a very slow webpage made to be an "app." The pages are very slow to maneuver through. I got this to sign up for volunteer hours at my sons school. In order to sign up, you must have an invitation from the organizer. Save your money and just use the website!!!

Great, but needs improvement. I love this app and how it keeps all my sign up sheets available all the time. But I would like the app to be able to remember your email and password for easier access. Otherwise, it's a great app and I will keep using it for my volunteering.

Just barely worth it. This is just barely worth the $2 to be able to check on volunteers for slots without dealing with the website when mobile. I don’t mind having to create signups and slots from the web interface and it’s nice to be able to add or delete volunteers on the go. But I’d really like to be able to delete a slot if needed. Also, I’d love to able to enable notifications on my phone for signups or deletions to slots. Lastly, please try to fix the need to hit login every time you open the app. It auto loads the credentials, but it’s just a needless step... You really shouldn’t charge for this app and should further develop it. It should be a loss leader for users to pick your site over signup genius or other option.

GARRRRRRRBAGE. I downloaded this app so I could get notifications from my school to sign up for events but this app doesn’t do that. At all. $1.99 for what? Nothing. You can see when events are posted and what you’ve signed up for, BUT WITHOUT NOTIFICATIONS FROM THE APP YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SIGN UP. It’s absolutely pointless. Garbage. Requested refund but I’m positive that won’t happen.

Clunky. Leaves a lot to be desired. Why do I have to sign-in again every single day when I open this? Running a nightly nonprofit operation, where I have to look at this all the time. It gets the job done but could be a lot better.

Not worth it. App makes you type your log-in and password every time, with no keychain shortcut or auto fill . Adding the mobile-optimized web page to the homepage from Safari works better. It looks identical, saves you $2 and having to type out your login every time.

Been waiting for this!. We started using volunteer spot to schedule volunteers at our soup kitchen two years ago and have loved it from the first day! However, our time is short and days are harried so having access to volunteer information on the fly on my iPhone is invaluable. Thank you for this!

Major Time Save. There is a major time save over the Safari bookmark method. I noticed if you’re using a Gmail or account that is third-party you would have to set a password for it on the website. Make sure that you save your password to iCloud Keychain. Once you click on sign in with the text box field, it auto completes and saves you about 10 seconds (5 to 10 seconds) as opposed to normal method. Worth it for me for $5. The website otherwise, I find to be slow. This one has less lag.

Amazing!. With 4 kids in 1 zillion activities...this app will be my life saver! Now I can see where I am committed across all kids/activities. Thank YOU!

NEED IMPROVEMENT. Had high hopes for this app as I use the online version often as a rescue coordinator. It however lacks many of the functions that are necessary to a coordinator. Basically the same as a mobile web browser version of the website. I gave it two stars instead of one because it is a helpful tool for volunteers who have signed up. Please update your app with more coordinator friendly controls, and then I would love to rate again! :)

Not worth $2. Want refund. I wish I can get a refund. This is probably one of the worst paid app. At $2 you would imagine it is more polish. It is slow, and crashed a few time on iPhone 5 with ios7.1. The app feels like an bad HTML version of the website. You have to login ever time and no ability to save the login info. About 70% of the time names added and assigned to your activities were not saved. They really need to make a mobile version of their website that could be better than this app. The app do allow a slight ease to see who signed up and what your sign up for, but the interface needs a lot work. I ended up just the web site directly. This app kind of, in my opinion, will force people away from volunteerspot.

DON’T PAY FOR APP. Don’t pay to download this app. It’s just a shortcut to the website. Just create a link on your homepage for FREE. Duh.

adult. This app is great - I was able to organize my child's class Halloween party from my phone and check the status while I waited in the carpool line. Reminders were sent automatically the day before, and everyone showed up at the right time, right place, with the right Halloween goodies. A definite winner.

Easy Fast & Helpful. Thanks VolunteerSpot for making it so easy to know where to be and what I’m supposed to be doing. With 3 kids on swim team and all the end-of-school hoopla - you made this dad look organized! Like how you show all my spots across groups and how easy it is to message the coach when I had to make changes. Keep up the good work!

Too expensive and doesn’t have enough functionality.. As a volunteer organizer, I thought I should buy this app. This was the second most expensive app that I’ve ever purchased and it’s a rip off. It is extremely limited so if you want to do anything, but look at a list, do yourself a favor and just use the website.

I’ll stick with the Website. I was hoping the app would be helpful as I will be using sign up very frequently, and using an app I could quickly access for my needs and the needs of others, I am unable to sign in or even connect and sign in through google as you can through the website, I hope my purchase is refundable.

This is not clipboard. I haven't figured out what this app is for. I purchased it thinking it was what I later figured out is a different app called "Clipboard" which is what allows you to signup volunteers at a meeting via a pad or phone. Ironically, the Clipboard is useful and free. This app is not free and has less functionality than the website.

Difficult and no help. It is very confusing to manage this app. In addition I easily got hacked and it started to create fake participants with variations of my name. It then signed me up numerous times taking away spots for others. When I figured out how to delete my names I would come back a minute later and there would be more of my names. Plus safari kept telling me to close this page because it was taking up to much memory.

Awesome app. So easy to sign up for all my activities. If you use volunteerspot, get this app! If you don't use volunteerspot, you should consider trying it out. Automatic email reminders to the volunteers saved tons of time for the organizer, and increases volunteer participation. Love it!

Not a happy camper. Just paid $1.99 for this app, yet it keeps giving me an error when trying to edit my task descriptions, which is the whole reason I wanted it. To make matters worse, here's the error note: "Whoops! We have encountered an error - can you please try back later or try from a regular computer (instead of this tiny screen) to complete your actions. Sorry for the inconvenience." If I wanted to try this on a regular computer, why in the heck would I pay $1.99!!!! -- not a happy camper!!

Waste of money. I just purchased and downloaded this app to aid in keeping track of my parent conferences. I cannot see who has scheduled a time slot. When I try to access the calendar, the app will only let me schedule a time. As if I'm the parent!! I need to see which parents are coming at which times!! Looks like I'll have to lug my laptop with me as this app is totally useless!!

So easy and convenient to use!. I can’t say enough good things about the Signup app. I first heard about it from an event at my daughter’s school. I liked how it had a clean, modern look and I was seriously amazed at how easy it was to use! I didn’t even need a tutorial, it was pretty easy to figure out. I have used it to create and organize several church events and now recommend this app to all my other mum friends!

Simpler access to my activities. I liked having instant access to all my signups and the new Facebook login. This app is only for people with live VolunteerSpot activities and was really easy to navigate and figure out.

Misleading for organisers. It's a great app for a participant however the description said I could see who had signed up to spot - there's no function to do this so its a bit misleading and now not worth my $$. Disappointed :(

Don't bother - save your money. Should be free. Pretty much the same functionality and format as the mobile site. I only paid for app to test for our school...no need to buy this app.

It works with bugs. This could be a wonderful volunteer apps. But there is bugs. It doesn't keep you log-in, even after a few minutes away. I use Facebook as my sign-in, I end up approving Facebook every time. Would be nice if can quickly switch different volunteer groups; to confirm dates. I thought about giving this 2-star, but it still does the job with these bugs.

Don't buy!!. This app doesn't let you do anything to manage your signups. If you want to just check who's coming, you can only email yourself a report! Very useless app

Horrible. This was a total waste of my $1.99. Not only is it impossible to create new signups or view past ones from the app, everything I paid for is available for free on the mobile version. Buyer beware!

Volunteer. I bought this to see a full version of the site tool and see who else volunteered with me. It doesn't. Neither does the mobile web version it sends me to for full version. I also had to go on to a normal computer to set my password.

Glad it was free or I'd be really upset.. This app is so limited it's disappointing. It is also not synced with the website causing more frustration and confusion. I do NOT recommend this app until a newly revised version is out.

Zero Stars - A paid app that doesn't let you stay logged in?. Awful. This is a paid app, and it has no function to let you stay logged in. This makes the app useless for event organizers who need to use the app many times per day/your. What kind of developers does SignUp have that can't design a paid app with persistent state? Zero Stars. Want a refund. Great website, great system, but this app is an embarrassment.

Worthless. You don't need this app to use the services of Volunteer Spot, and it will not let you do any "administrative" tasks from the app (if you are organizing anything, you will have to use the full site). So, worthless and a waste of money.

Just an app for the mobile site. You have LITERALLY exactly the same functions if you save the mobile site to your home screen. Complete waste of money!!

Joke of an app... don’t waste your money!. I never leave reviews, but this is literally the mobile site in an app. It takes you to the mobile site, still have to log in every time, and doesn’t do anything you can’t do yourself. Save your money!

Login. Fix this app so you do not have to log in and enter your password EVERY TIME you open it. My Sign ups are not that sensitive and personal!! Also, add a calendar so you can see upcoming events at a glance. Our group is using this but it is NOT user friendly!!!!

No good for an organizer. I just downloaded this app. I am an organizer and cannot see who has signed up for spots and cannot send invites to new people from it. Would not recommend for an organizer. Glad it was only $1.99 I wasted!!

Terrible. This app wouldn't be worth having if it was free, and it's not. It really doesn't let you do anything but check your existing spots. All other functions it sends you to the website for, and the website isn't very mobile friendly. Terrible.

Need Touch ID. Not a bad app once your inside. But really inconvenient to have to sign in every time. Needs Touch ID.

Absolutely horrible. Never have I ever had to open and close an app so many times just for it to work some what properly. Apps are to make it easier. This is a nightmare. So difficult.

This teacher is happy!. I am a veteran teacher who has used signup.com for years at school. We have used it to organize Senior Day donations and Parent Conferences for the entire school. The app is clean and easy to follow when setting up activities. The step by step process is appreciated! So worth it not to have to log in through my browser.

Won’t let me use. Bought this app since I thought it would be easier to use then the web browser. Won’t let me log in and keeps telling me my email is not registered.

Not an app, website inside app. I bought this because I thought it would be faster than the website. Wrong. It's just the mobile web inside an app. I can't believe apple still allows this. $2 to pay for the app dev. Lame. Getting a refund.

Volunteer spot. I bought this so I could coordinate my volunteers from my phone. Apparently, the app does not give the option to add volunteers to events (other than yourself) or coordinate as an admin. HUGE disappointment!!!

Don't wast your money. I bought this app to help me schedule events from my phone. IT DOES NOT DO ANYTHING!! This app does not let you organize anything, plan anything, change anything. Don't waste your time and money on this app.
