Love it. I love this app the only thing lacking is more days. I have had a great time loading the events for my two week trip to Australia but only have 20 events available. I would buy another but I can't do it because it's already installed. I would pay a bit more if more was available.

Should have a higher rating. I’ve used this App for...idk years! It’s not extravagant but clean and simple and too the point. Showing you a count down to an event with a picture. I like that it always works and isn’t clunky. Rating should be higher!

Cool idea, could be much better. I was intrigued by the idea. The software works but is very basic. Here are some ideas that would help make the application more useful: 1. Integration with calendars Eliminate duplicate entry for big days already in calendar 2. Ability to search internet for pics and add them without having to leave the app (very cumbersome) 3. Archive - place in the app to go back and see the big days that you have had, searchable and ordered by date. Currently the Big Day stays in the rotation showing you how many days since...not useful. I want to see when my next big day is. To remove it from the rotation, I must manually edit or delete my past big day

Widget doesn’t update. I thought this app was the white whale I have been looking for since iPhone introduced widgets. Alas, the widget doesn’t automatically update every day and sometimes not even after you open the app. If this was fixed it would be perfect!

Need iPad support. This is very simple but great app. I want to use this app on my iPad with full screen. Please consider supporting iPad ratio.

No widget. There’s no widget. Very misleading description in the App Store. The only reason I bought the app is because the developer claimed to have a widget.

Impulse purchase. What can I say? I don't like this app at all! The one I had before was the best one I ever had but the developers never updated it and it would slow down or even cause my iPhone to crash. Sadly I had to delete the app. This one isn't for me.

Always satisfied.. The update I really want - Nice widgets. I have used Big Day Lite and Big Day for a long time. Never disappointed and always satisfied. Worth to be 5 stars.

Does not include a landscape mode.. It used to rotate with the orientation of the phone, but that feature has been disabled.

Great App. I love this app. I've used it for a while for multiple countdowns and I also love the "days since" mode. This app makes the event exciting when you can see the countdown getting smaller. I am able to add my own picture to the app for different countdowns and I am able to take screenshots of the countdowns to post to Twitter and different social media sites. I love this app. Definitely recommended!!

MY FAVORITE APP. I've never written a review about an app but I saw the little amount of reviews this app has and I was shocked! This is my favorite app because I keep about 4 big days in my phone so that I can not only plan my life a little better but it reminds me that I have a lot to look forward too. Right now I have a countdown till Christmas, my birthday, and my high school graduation! If I could give this app 6 stars, I would! :)

Amazing App as well as amazing Developers. I’ve used this app for a couple years now and have loved it from day one! Recently I noticed an issue with the widget not updating on my iPhone 12 mini. I contacted the developer and immediately got an email from Terry. I was able to explain to him what has going on and they responded back the same day. Genuine people who truly value the end user. I love this app and am amazed with the app developer! Keep up the great work!!!

Great Countdown App. I’ve been using this app for years. If serves a simple purpose and does it well! Developer was very responsive when I had an issue. 👍

Has so much potential.... This app has so much potential to be the best countdown app...but it's not quite there. First off you are not able to scale your pics for the background...so a lot of times it crops them funny or makes them really small. Second, push notifications would be awesome, especially if you could set how many days in advance to remind you. Lastly, it would be nice if there was a "list" option on the menu so you could see a list of all your events without having to flip through them. I love the look of the countdown and it nice because you can put your pics which makes it really personalized. My biggest complaint is just that you can't scale them. If they take these suggestions and apply them it would be a 5 star app for sure!

Great app minus one thing. Upgraded from the lite version and deffianty think it's worth the upgrade to have multiple dates. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that you cannot crop or move selected photos to fit the screen. If this is fixed the app would be great!! Also, a feature to allow for days:hours:minutes:seconds would be awesome! The interface is great, love this app.

Awesome!!. I am super happy with this app! It's awesome because it lets you choose any date in the future. You just have to know the exact date and it will count down. You can also chose a background from your photos or keep the default one. You can also use emojis which is awesome cause not all apps let you use them. The app lets you know when everyday you put on there is coming. Like a birthday, holiday, or vacation. Great app! Keep up the great work. I highly request it!! 😃😃😃😃

Excellent design and easy to use. Excellent modern design which gets a plus in my book while still having great functionality. Very easy to use. Love it! It'd be nice if the default images stayed in it's own library because I liked the concert image, but lost it when the date was deleted.

Is anyone really counting down 10,000 days?. I love this app, except for one thing. The countdown number is too large!!! I assume a majority of people are counting down to an event that is under 1000 days away... Heck, they're probably mostly counting down to an event less than 100 days away. BUT WHY IS THERE NO WAY TO USE LESS NUMBERS?!? You could possibly countdown to an event 99,999 days away!!! It's really just a waste of space. I would love it of they changed it to 3 numerical characters instead of 5. If you have an even over 999 days away, you'll survive. If not 3, then at least 4! But other than that complaint, the app is beautiful and works perfectly!!

Just needs 2 slight improvements to make it perfect. I absolutely adore this app. That said the only thing I would improve on is number one in the app itself when you schedule an event give people the option to do it reoccurring. Either daily, weekly, monthly, yearly what have you. It’s kind of annoying every time an event passes to have to fix the year. The second thing I would do is allow people on the widget to choose the next upcoming event or to choose from a specific event. It would make this app perfect. And above and beyond any of the other countdown apps.

Essential App. On every new iPhone I get, this is one of the first apps I download. It’s a countdown app, nothing more, nothing less. I’ve used this app since 2014 and it’s never disappointed me.

amazing app.. i love this app. it is perfect for me to look back on incredible memories. i got it back when i was a 14 year old in high school, and it is so much fun to look back at age 20 and see all the things i did. great app.

Simple and attractive. Very nice interface where you can choose whatever picture you want. Interface is pretty easy to use after you figure it out. I use it to track big events and for incentives and it works really well for that. I really wish it had an extension for the Apple Watch though.

Love it!. I have been using this app for a few years now and I absolutely love it! The addition of the widget is so great, but I wish you could choose which countdown to show on the widget if you have more than one. Also, I wish you could choose weather your events were sorted oldest to newest or vice versa. I'm hoping that these things will be added eventually. I really do love this app and I hope it sticks around for a very long time. :)

Cool but this would make it so much better. I like this app a lot but I think it would be better if you could switch around the way the events are ordered/appear. And it would be cool if there was like a button you could press that would make the dates appear in chronologic order automaticaly. Overall It's still a pretty good app, although I would still like to see improvements. :)

Works great. Nice looking, fun, but makes my stomach turn when I see how many days till retirement! Lol. Not super fancy but it does what I want it to. Facebook post works great. Not sure what the one star reviews are about; perhaps they had the wrong idea of what this app is supposed to do. They've got no one to blame but themselves; there IS a free version to try out. Nice app and thanks!

Useful and helpful. I've used the app now for quite a few years. I had the free app but just downloaded the full one, in order to track multiple events coming up this year. This app makes it much easier to see how close you are to a trip, wedding, holiday, day off, concert, etc!

Allow us to move events again!. I like this app, it's simple and effective as a novelty and reminder for life events. However, since the last update I can't figure out a way to put my events in the order I want. You used to be able to go to the list view and do that. Or even just have if automatically order them chronologically. Would that be so hard? With that fix it would be five stars!

Needs hours and minutes!. App is easy and great but they need to add hours, minutes and seconds! It's more fun for conversation when you can quote your retirement time to the second!!!

Crop Issues Update Needed, But Very Nice Otherwise. There are crop issues with Big Day, not all photos load correctly out of my library. And as other reviewers have pointed out, move & scale is a missing and needed feature for this 99 cent ap. An update is needed to address these. That said, user interface is excellent, multiple events and sortable multiple ways, fantastic.

what happened??. I love this app but recently, the widget option has disappeared. This was my favorite feature because I didn't have to go to the app all the time to see how far my events were. BRING THE WIDGET FEATURE BACK, PLEASE!!!!!

Could be great.... I was extremely disappointed after finding this app only supports the tracking of one event. I would have purchased day counter or used a webapp having known that. This limitation should be added to the description or changed in the update! If you set that issue aside - this is a very tasteful app with a lot of potential. (3 stars) **after update** Much Better!! Does what it promises! Any chance of adding a choice for years, months, or days?

I love countdowns!. What can I say? I love countdowns!! I NEVER leave reviews but this I will take the time to do! This app has allowed my children and I to keep track of their Dad/my husband's return from deployment! We love that we can check it every morning and see his picture along with the time remaining! We use it to count down to events or how long since something happened and it is just a great way to relive memories of times gone by or look forward to coming events! I tell all of my friends about it when they ask what I use and will continue to do so! Thanks, Big Day!!

Exactly the app I've been looking for. Sleek, beautiful, and large display. User friendly. I like being able to pick the background picture, but I wish it would allow me to readjust the image so it fits to the screen. I think there should be an option to reorder events in list view. Also, I think there should be more options of what units you want to count down by (years/months/days/hours/min/sec).

Only problem with this app.. Please fix. I love this app I've had for years. It's helped my countdown to many special events concerts, graduations ect. Very easy to use. I also love how your countdowns can appear in your notifications center. The only issue I have with this app is it won't let me add a picture to the background. Every time I select the picture I want to use it crashes. Please fix this!!

Really lovely app. I like having something to keep track of the semesters, and the personalization (and lack of ads!) is my favorite thing about this app. Really great!

Great visual calendar - and fun. This is a great visual calendar that lets you know how far away upcoming events are. My wish fo future versions: 1) allow more than 20 events; and 2) allow you to save / recycle images used as backgrounds in the app; 3) easy way to duplicate an event; 4) smaller bands in list mode so you can see more events. It’s almost perfect!. I’ve been using the app for several years, and it’s almost perfect. I wish it had a more compact viewing option so I could see 4 or more events on a single screen (I can only seen 3.5 before it cuts off).

Great App. This app does exactly what it says it will and its beautifully design and displayed. To the user complaining that you cannot reorganize the days once you set them, you actually can. Just bring up the options menu by tapping any picture and then tap the share icon (first icon on your left) and then you pick "switch to left" or "switch to right," and you can also reorganize them all by date. Hope that helps!

Perfect for tracking device for the first day I started dating my girlfriend!. I always have hard time remembering those special dates. This application is perfect to keep a record of those special dates. Thumbs Up!! Perhaps, can you make it to keep multiple dates for the next update version?

Goood.. but. I've used this app for years & i love it since I go to soo many events like conventions & conerts. Although i found out there is a limit to how many events you can have. I hate this. I dont want to delete my past events because they are like memories in my phone saying how long ago i did this. So idk. Not happy about this.. especially because i need to add 3 more events, but cant.

Um. It doesn't even have hours and minutes. The free one (obviously not the same devs) my father downloaded has these, and I paid for this one. May as well've download a free one.

love it. I found myself using another free days counter a lot but for $1 it was well worth the upgrade to this app. Allowing events to still be there after they are complete is also a nice feature. For reviewer above: you don't need to switch days until/days since, just change the date and it switches automatically.

Unusable. Starts off with 4 dates preset. No way to edit them. Add a new event & you can't edit it either. Useless app!

Mmm. Was really excited when I paid and downloaded this up, but very disappointed to learn I can only add 20 dates!! Have now resorted to another countdown, which is a shame because this one has the best lay out and stylish design. Please make it that we can have at least 100 dates!!!

Alright. This is an okay app, although you can't take photos in the app, so you have to multitask to the camera app, take the photo, then come back to this app if you want to add a photo to the background. There's also only one defult photo. Okay for the price I guess.

Great countdown app. I’ve used this app for four years now and love it. I can add special events to the tracker and see the time too or time past. I also like ability to set your own background picture for each event. For important tracking dates - I highly recommend this app.

Very Good app. I use this to remember all the wedding Anniversary of family and friends. And I really like it. Simple to use direct to the point and changing background I really like. One suggestion if I may, is it possible to go to next big day after the present one is already passed it day? Automatically the widget will display the next date instead of manually changing the year and tapping the sort by date. Thanks.

Definitely worth it!. The best thing is that you have days for and since. So nice! But the design is kind of too "optional" I would like to have the choice just to "lock" the screen because the timer moves when I flip through them and it's kind of annoying. In addition, I don't really like it when the digits are going "crazy count down" when you open the app, it doesn't really add anything. Except that it's very easy to function and pretty as well.

Save your data!!. Make sure you save your data if you are updating this app! I just updated and it lost all the old trips I had saved and one upcoming countdown. It looks like its a brand new app that's never been used before. Very disappointed!

Good stuff. I like that this app allows you to use your own pictures with large date stamps and event names. I would give it 5 stars if there was a fix for the freeze that happens every 5th or so event where it locks up an event when you are trying to change the date. That and the ability to add more than 20 events. Other than that it is a good little app.

Older version better. I liked older versions as the newest version shows the count briefly before spinning numbers to the final display of the count.

Okay app. Great that I can use my own picture for the background. However wish it could count down mins/hours etc, not just the days.

Favorite Countdown App!. I've tried most countdown apps and this one is by far the easiest, best working app out of them all. I've been using it for years and I love it!

Love the app. Totally love the app my 5 yr old daily checks how many days until her birthday. I had the lite for a long time so I bought this so i could add more events since the kids enjoy checking it.

A few improvements. Not sure why there aren't numerous backgrounds to choose from. Would think that would be included in the paid version. Also, needs minutes and seconds counter as an option.

📝Review📝. Looks like a decent app, but you should integrate a feature that let's you choose a specific event use the number of days for that event as the badge for the app so that every day the badge number would either go up or down depending on the event.

Ok. App is ok the only thing that I would like to see change is when you add a picture for the background you can size it right. Every time I use my own pic it blows it up to big and usually cuts a person out.

Good. Everything's fantastic although sometimes it crashes (multiple times) when I try to open it.. that's the only problem though! I also think it would be neat if instead of black or white, you could somehow get the color of the countdown to match the color of the picture! :)

App rocks. The ability to see multiple count downs on your iPhone today screen is awesome! It motivates me to see how many days until vacations, upcoming 5K runs, etc.

Needs push notification!!!!!. Needs to display hours, minutes, and seconds. Push notification would we awesome, being able to resize our pics cause they come out cut off, and being able to write more text in the txt box. Please update!!! It's a good app that needs minor improvements.

Neat App. A very neat app! Visually appealing. Although one criticism, it needs the feature to select the background from the app's default images (I can't seem to find the "Trip to Japan" airplane background that I accidentally deleted).

Stop Cropping My Pictures! My cries have been answered.. Then it would be perfect. The lite version did not crop them, don't crop them on the one for which I paid money. Thanks for the fix.

Good start. Needs improvements.. I like this app and would give it 4 or 5 stars but it lacks ability to scale images. I create countdowns for all sorts of things. Lots of fun, but lacking critical feature. Also needs updated graphics for iPhone 4 retina display. Also creating new event should take you directly to edit screen. Why does it create generic event? Another issue that annoys me. Why doesn't app automatically sort by date? The feature to date sort is in the app but it doesn't do it by default. This app has great potential. I wish the developer would address these issues. I would pay again for an updated version.

Love this app!. I love to count to special events. Now I have a fun, easy app to help me do this. I always personalize with a picture of my own which makes it special. I upgraded to get more events, but the basic was great also. Haven't had any problems with this app and recommend highly.

Beautiful!. Such a beautiful app! The simplicity makes it appealing to look at and it's very easy to use. Only issue of that is doesn't count down the exact time, only counts down the days. Besides that is excellent! Highly recommend!

favorite app ever. so simple to use, you can make as many countdowns as you want with your own pictures and you can customize it...it's just great. I love flipping through the pages looking at all the things I have to look forward to.

More specific. I love the look, but it'd be even better if the countdown was more specific and down to the minute. Months-days-hours-minutes-seconds would make it much more realistic and exciting.

Great for my kids, too. I LOVE this app! We use pix that we grab of the 'net... countdown until the local water park opens... pic of grandma with countdown until she comes to visit... pic of the school with countdown until last/first day... even countdowns to holidays that are far in advance! VERY FUN and well worth $0.99!!!

Meh. This app would be perfect if it put events in the order by date. Sometimes events come up that I add in, but then it's all out of order. Is this going to get fixed? Other than that, pretty good app.

Go Elsewhere for a Countdown App. Purchased the full version because it was listed as Top Paid App. Should have looked at reviews first. I don't agree with those with 5 reviews. You can see from the Detail screen shots, cannot sort events by nearest date, only by when you entered the event (no chronological order). Cannot reorganize the events in list mode. List mode is a pop-up box in the app, not a default view. Unable to reorganize pictures using their default pics. I'm unloading this paid app and going elsewhere.

What???. On the images of what this app looks like, there are all these different pictures you can use. Well where are they on your iPhone? Also, it only tells you the days until the countdown, not the time too! Or else this app is a good source for excitement of upcoming events!

Great. This app is absoutly amazeing!!!' for those who dont know how to work it, listen. Press the midddle of the page and press the settings button at the bottom. Then do what you need to do. Change the date,occasion,and backround. Greatapp!!! Love it!!!

It puts some pictures upside down. Such Potential then.... nothing. Love the idea, put a timer with a picture of what it is. BUT.... Having the picture upside down is horrible. It would be 4 stars if it didn't do that. Then if would be 5 stars if it let you do years/months/days instead of just days. Overall I would say ehhhhh. Probably not worth your .99.

One thing missing. This would be the absolute bomb if it had push notifications. Everything else is ez and great. Please consider adding the push function

Sort By Date - Would be nice. I like this app very much, especially now that the Today widget is available. Just wondering, is there a way to have the app sort entries by date? If not, that would be an excellent feature to add.

Push Notifications!. I love this app. But the #1 thing that this app could use to be better is to add push notifications. I almost forgot my big school paper was due on a certain day until I checked the app the night before! This is a great app, it just needs push notifications :)

Good app, does the job. This app is easy to use, is aesthetically pleasing, and does it's job. I wish that it had multiple forms of counting down, ie: 3 months, 4 days and 6 hours until x event. With this app, you will have a days-only countdown, ie: 213 days until x event. Still not bad for what I needed it to do.

Great app. Great app, only improvement would be if you could change the font of the # of days and change to box that displays the # to personalize it more.

I've had this for years!. I remember getting the lite version on my iPod a few years back, and now I have the better version on my new iPhone. So cheap, convenient , and I don't know I just love it a lot! Lots of flexibility in the app and it functions great.

Awesome. This app is really nice for counting down!! I love how it has a reminder/alarm you can set for the day before to remind you. I have been using this app for a long time!! I recommend this app 100%. It's great.

Great!. I was using Days Until which was free but had anoying ads. Big Day is a little nicer with the counter and full screen shots, but I would like to see a list option as well. Great improvement with the mulitple screens for different events. Overall a useful and beautiful app.

Sold. Nice app. Does what I downloaded it to do, but it would be cool if it did weekdays/weekends. Like there are 199 schooldays until summer. Also, I'd like to be able to move the events' order without actually having to switch the events order manually. But otherwise, no complaints

Can I edit the order of the events?. I love the interface and design! Its very user friendly and maybe the bet looking count down apps out there. One flaw I'd love an update on: To be able to edit the order of the events. I want to see more important & urgent event first! Right now I need to search through to find it. There is no option of re-ordering once it's entered- its only based upon when you added them.

Pretty Nifty. Used the free app forever, finally started thinking that I could add so many other things I'm looking forward to. Nice layout and design. Excellent features. Simple and to the point!

PLEASE FIX!!!. Why doesn't the app place countdowns in order? For example the first page is counting down 67 days, second event is 4 days and third event is 41 days. PLEASE SET IT UP SO ITS IN ORDER! Also push notifications would be great!

Favorite. Needs a super countdown update like minutes and seconds to it and this a great app buy it super easy and kinda fun to play with

Big Day App. It's a good app, but I have a few suggestions to make it better. You should let us choose if the event repeats yearly, and possibly have the minutes and seconds to the countdown. Then I would give it 5 stars.

I love this simple app. It’s great for counting down to an important event in your life. Add a picture to your countdown date (like a picture of your destination if you’re counting down to a vacation) and you’re good to go. Very fun app to have.

Already looking forward to next update.. Update is a good improvmen, but... Like several others have suggested move and scale would make this a five star app. It's annoying to have to crop photo on computer and reload it.

Okay, would be great with a few more features. - would like the option to only count weekdays. Like how many days of work left until vaca - hour and min countdown would also be great Otherwise it does serve it's purpose

Simple and effective.. I love this app, it's simple and stray to the point. I only wish it would have the iCloud Sync feature. That would make everything a lot easier.

Fun app but fix picture size issue. The first time I put a picture in, everything is fine but when I go into the app later, the picture has mysteriously enlarged, thus cutting part of the image out.
