So helpful!. I've been using this app to help desensitize 2 dogs I am working with to baby sounds, as well as doorbell sounds (which I recorded of their actual doorbell- great feature!) and it's been super helpful. Brilliant idea!

Very Simple and Effective!. Our new puppy is very sensitive to sound and our trainer recommended this app. We’ve used it for 1 day and we’re already seeing a difference! The app is simple to use (as long as you remember to take your phone off ‘vibrate’ mode) and the only complaint is that there is currently no Dremel tool sound. We look forward to the addition of more sounds in future updates!

Very helpful!. This is was very helpful in training my two reactive border collies that are super sensitive to sounds! The sounds are life like not like something you'd find in a kids toy.

Sounds. It would be wonderful if you could add a Dremel tool sound for people who want to do their dogs nails with it... I love the grooming sound/vibration...

Great app. Love this app. The best part is you can use it on your phone & gradually increase the volume so that you can acclimate your pet to that noise. I also like the fact that you can record your own sounds. This is handy if there is a specific sound your dog reacts to that isn't on the app. I recommend it to my clients all if the time.

Needs more sounds. We want our GSD to experience MORE sounds. Would be great app if it had more than 20 sounds or you could add user sounds.

Love this Ap. This is the best distraction-training Ap out there. I teach obedience and this is perfect for training dogs with noises. Great to play the new "crowd" sounds when practicing sits and downs. Good for new puppies who hate crate sounds, vacuums, loud banging noises, etcetera. I highly recommend this Ap for any training. New sounds are always being added.

Footsteps and Door knocking is missing!. Great variety of sounds but door knocking and footsteps is missing. Those are common sounds that cause a barking reaction from dogs. I’ll still use the app but disappointed yes those sounds are missing.

The best sound app out there!!!. I absolutely love this app and all of its new features. I am a dog trainer and I regularly recommend all of my clients to use this at some point in their training. It has helped my dog immensely with his fear of thunder storms!!! Thank you Amy for a outstanding product!!!

Great tool for breeders. My only ask is that it can run in the background so that I can use other apps on my IPad at the same time. This only works if it is the only function that you are using. Otherwise, I love the range of sounds. I am using it now with my 3 week old pups.

NO DOOR KNOCK!!!. Unimaginable that this could not include a door knocking sound. I possibly could have checked but can’t imagine a more useful sound for this app. Wildly disappointed....

Works great for kittens too. I bottle feed orphan kittens and use this app to soundproof my kittens.

Wanted to love it. But it wouldn't use the Bluetooth/wifi speakers I have, even though all other phone sounds were playing through them. I wanted to be able to make sounds come from other rooms in the house or the room we are in and not just from my phone.

Great app. Their works great for conditioning puppies. I play it on an iPhone dock in the puppy room. I start out with volume low and increase it over the course of a few weeks. As others have suggested door knocking abound would be helpful.

Fantastic resource. I'm a dog trainer, and despite sounding fake to humans, this app and the noises helped my border collie (with counter conditioning) learn to work through the noises and not shut down. Previously we have been unable to play frisbee during loud noises and he would flee the field. This year we played disc outdoors while gunfire was going off - an incredible feat, all thanks to this app!

iOS 16.1 sounds don’t work. Bought this app a couple of years ago - it worked. Opened it today and all the sounds don’t work

It’s ok.. Some sounds don’t seem accurate to me but otherwise it does what it says.

Puppy training app. Tried over & over to make a recording- not working. The other pre recorded sounds are pretty mushy sounding & not loud enough (even with volume all the way up)

dont waste your money. The ap will not allow you to set up a series of sounds, one must stay in the room and manually switch from one sound to another. This won't work for most people who don't have hours to spend poking at their iPad endlessly. Yes, you must make sure that the volume is not scaring the puppies, but once the volume is set, you should be able to start the program and walk away. The other problem is that it will not play through an external bluetooth speaker that would provide a much wider frequency and dynamic range, only through the little, tinny iPad speaker. I wasted $3.99. Oh, well, live and learn, will keep looking for something that will actually work for a normal puppy raiser.

The sound doesn’t work.. This is useless.

Great for desensitization and counter conditioning. I use this app with every litter. I play different sounds multiple times a day. I play the airplane noises in the car to get my puppies ready for a plane ride. I also use the app to help dogs get ready for a new baby. I would love to have the app play in the background so I can use my phone while the sounds play.

Good tool. Works well; the sounds selection covered all the ones I could think of and see authentic enough to trick my dogs! Love that you can start the sound off quietly and gradually build volume. I can see this being very useful in our rescue/rehabs as well as in my own training. I found some of the menu item to be hard to read in the black/drawn style, but not enough to lose a review star. A good app with a stroke of genius in adding a "record your own sound "option.

Love this app for 3.5wk old puppiesv. As a breeder and a vet nurse. I've seen so many companion pets scared of noises like thunder and fireworks. I love this app totally recommend it. It's great for new puppy/ kittens and older pets. This is the first time I'm using it with new born babies. Starting at 3.5wks. I put it on daily lowest sound to start while they eat either their eating with mum or with a plate then before they leave to go to their new homes they would have experienced sounds that are out in the big wide world less scary for them and for me knowing I have prepared them. To breeders give this ago it's the best thing we can do to get our pups and kittens ready for the outside world. Best update yet. I have been a fan of this app from the very beginning. It is a necessary part of training all dogs, cats even pigs! This recent update floored me with its creativity and ingenuity. The addition of the vibration is simply genius. I don't know why this app wouldn't be on every phone if every pet owner world wide. Amazing.

Sound Doesn’t Work in the App. Out puppy training instructor recommended the App. She used it in her class and it was brilliant. However my partner and I have both downloaded this app and the sound doesn’t work whilst using the app. Frustrating! I hope there is a way to fix it.

A must have app for anyone with a puppy. We are lucky enough to go to Amy's puppy school and have found her to be amazing and this app to help our Aussie Bulldog Roxy get used to the world around her. If you can't get your pup to come to Amy, at least with this app she can come to you.

Great App - Just what all dog owners need!. This app is perfect for conditioning dogs to different sounds. As a kid we had a family dog who was terrified of many sounds and would tear up our house. I was determined not to let my current dogs be scared like that. This app made it so easy to get them used to different sounds. At times tho it has worked a little too well... during a thunder storm the other day my dogs were on the hunt for treats because that is what they now associate storms with!!! :)

Breeder. This app is excellent to start very young puppies on to get them used to strange noises that can become frightening. I just use an wireless speaker so I can make it really loud eventually. This app is awesome!. This app is doing wonders to help my cat adjust to the sounds of dogs before we bring our new puppy home. I'm very excited to try this on our puppy too when we bring him home, I think it will work wonders! If only it existed when my previous dog was a pup!

groundbreaking app in puppy training from a veterinary perspective. What a brilliant idea and initiative this app is. As veterinarians, we are frequently asked by owners how can they acclimatise their new puppy to sounds, hazards and different stimuli in the home environment. This app provides a solution for these owners. Dog breeders could also use this app for puppies from 3-4 weeks of age before they are resold at 7-8 weeks. There needs to be more awareness for exposing puppies to different stimuli from an early age in the critical phase period for learning. Love your work Amy.

Every puppy owner should have this app. Such a simple and easy to use app that can make such an impact on yours and your puppy’s life. Being able to introduce puppy’s to so many every day sounds in a gradual and manageable manner has meant when the first thunderstorm rocked around the puppy did not even think twice. Not to mention the vacuuming, blender, lawnmower, other dogs barking - list goes on.

PuppyMaree. This app was recommended to me by my puppy class trainer. It has helped me get my new border collie puppy comfortable with a number of sounds that he now is totally relaxed around! 100% recommend this!!

Buggy app. Buggy app that is a waste of money. Good in theory but clunky and gets stuck on sounds and screens

Perfect. I have been using this app for years and just got another puppy so time to use this app again. It’s great for desensitising your puppy to noises. It would be awesome if they had a lot noises but they have heaps but that is just something that could be added as different noises of dogs and also different thunder and different sirens and other animal noises as well. Thank you for this app.

Great App!. This app was used on my puppy at 3 weeks of age. He is now 11 months and will sleep through the wildest of thunderstorms. Occasionally he comes across a noise he isn't sure of, we just use the app during his "playtime" and before you know it he is comfortable with the new sound. Thanks :-)

Great app for all types of dogs!!. We have a purebred kelpie and a mixed breed rescue dog and we have used this app with both our dogs. Our rescue pup has always been timid with loud noises and this app has helped him slowly get used to all sorts of sounds. As my husband is a tradie, we used this app prior to the dogs going to work with him around power tools. We have also recently had another baby and this app was extremely useful in preparing both dogs for the noises that would accompany our new arrival. For anyone who has worked with Amy's Puppy Preschool, the developer of the app, they would know the kind of trainer & person that she is. Amy assists all sorts of owners and breeds. She has advised us on teaching our pups all the way through to the introduction of our rescue dog, etc. she does not simply assist only breeders / pure bred dogs. Highly recommend Amy and the Sound Proof Puppy App!!

Pup sounds. The app's great, have been playing the sounds to the pup and progress is being made. Haven't looked through all the videos yet but there is so much helpful information.

Sounds not audible. Hi Amy I downloaded the app after a great puppy school lesson last Saturday but when I play them back on my iphone4 at full volume they are barely audible. Any suggestions? With thanks Paul

Best puppy training app ever. My puppy is older now but the vibrations for conditioning to grooming is an awesome idea!!!

Best doggy app in town. Marlee has gone from a nervous clingy little pup to a confident and well behaved girl. Best class and app to train dogs with she's not afraid of storms of the garbage truck. Really important app for all puppies !. As we have learnt, puppies from week 8-14(ish) is when they have their initial phase of exposure to ‘life’ and the ‘world’. Using this app allows you to gently and kindly expose your pup to all the major noises they are going to experience in life, so that later on they don’t have a fear response to them. Start with the volume low and build up over time. The clipper sound is extra good as it also has the vibration feature. Super good for pups that are going to be regularly groomed.

Excellent training tool. Been using this on a regular basis for my older dog Chester who is scared of fireworks. Came to NYE last year and I think there was a remarkable improvement. Should have had something like this when he was younger.

Worth the price. I was unsure at first if I wanted to spend the money but it really is worth it, my puppy is so good with all kinds of noises and not much bothers her. To have a calm puppy when a loud noise happens is worth it’s weight in gold.

This app is particularly useful for folks who live in a rural area and want to prepare pups to also be confident in an urban environment, and vice versa. It's also a fantastic tool for desensitising dogs who already have noise phobias. Awesome app!!!!. As a breeder I use sound proof puppy with all my litters. Loving the new sounds especially the internal plane sounds. This app helps to produce happy confident puppies.

Pup app. The best puppy app on the market. The new update with the inclusion of the sounds of sirens and smoke alarms, will be very beneficial to my dog as we live in a main road and constantly have sirens passing by. This app has helped me to raise a confident dog.

Phenomenal App. The creator has thought of everything needed for everyday sounds. My puppy had this to train with, and now no sounds faze him. This includes sirens and alarms. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic App!. This app is fantastic, we breed border collies and it's such a good tool to use to desensitize our pups to all those horrible noises which can scare them. I use this app daily and can now be sure that all of our pups will not have issues that most dogs face. No more terrified dogs during thunder storms or fireworks etc.

Fab training app. I've been using this to train my new pup and it's been so helpful. She was a little nervous during thunder storms but now we've listened to the storm sounds while she's having a positive experience (eating) she's totally fine. Not spooked by any loud noises anymore so it's been a great success for us!

Amazing!. I have been using this app with my two mini foxies since they were pups. Neither of them have had any sound related issues since training them with sound proof puppy training app. Fireworks, chainsaws, crying babies, loud bangs, motor bikes are no problem for my puppies! It's really easy to use and you can record your own sounds as well. I would recommend this app to anyone with an animal who wants a happy, confident and sound proof pet!

Best dog training app out there. This is one of the best and most useful dog related apps I've ever seen. Socialisation is critically important for puppies and desensitising to potentially scary sounds is a really important tool for both puppies and dogs with existing fears or to get them used to it before an issue develops. Me. Got this app for my SUPER sound sensitive puppy, on the loudest setting she ignored everything except the dog barking, so not sure how useful this is

Sound training app - not recommended. Wishing I did not purchase your product recently seeing as you support the breeding of dogs whilst healthy dogs are killed in pounds every day. Also def not impressed you deleted my #adoptdontshop and #oscarslaw post on your facebook. Clearly you don't encourage positive discussion around this. Your product could be indirectly used to raise awareness of the beautiful dogs in pounds awaiting adoption but instead you wish to silence people who have a different opinion other than your own (as those you support who breed). Disappointing. Furthermore your thunderstorm sound (which was my reason for purchasing) sounded like a storm (not thunder) and your storm sound sounded like wind, not a storm. Don't recommend this product. Waste of $5.

Excellent App. This is a great app for any dog owner. Whether you have a young puppy or an adult dog, this app will help you socialize your dog to a variety of sounds. Great for dogs with noise phobias, when used on low volume and in conjunction with positive training.

Not usable. Maybe I'm missing something, but even at full volume the sounds are barely a whisper. Great concept, but needs work.

Missing some crucial sounds from home. Specifically hoped to get some door bells and knocking sounds.

A little disappointing. I would have thought doorbell sounds would have been in there. Also, the sound quality of many of the sounds are not very realistic. I could have just recorded these sounds on my computer and played them in a loop. Not worth 5.49 or even 0.99. It needs to have a trial version to avoid disappointment in my opinion. Fantastic idea though.
