Amazing app. I absolutely love this app, it’s great for improving your voice! I have nothing bad to say about it, but I would love if the celebrity’s had small audio samples of their voice for you to listen to, but other than that, great app.

Great app. I purchased it as people always say my voice is deep or that I sound like X Y or Z, but I’ve always thought they were just messing with me or wrong. With this app, I’m able to see in detail who I actually sound like from an objective standpoint, so it’s interesting to use as it lets you hear what your voice actually sounds like to other people. My only request would be to view the categories for everything. (IE It says “Deep/Extremely Deep/etc.”, it would be nice to have the ability to click the text and see where that stands in the list of pitches/rankings.)

No training in app. Only records voice, has build in webpage from devs site. No actual voice training inside the app.

Excellent app missing one crucial feature. I absolutely love this app. The features and analysis are excellent, and the quality of the recordings is one of the best I’ve seen on the iPhone. However, the only thing holding back what would otherwise be a perfect 5 star app is the lack of ability to export the recordings. Please add this feature!

Keeps crashing. Not worth the fee as it keeps crashing. Nice try but no cigar.

Works well. This app needs an audio recording export/sharing option! Otherwise this is a neat app and I’m looking forward to what cool features the devs are working on for future versions.

Don’t purchase!. Not useful at all, the description stated that there is an upgraded version, with lessons on how to improve range. There is not.

Wish they had more celebrities to compare with. Really cool app, they need more celebrities to compare though! Hope they plan on adding more

App doesn’t work. I was recording Samuel L Jackson and the app detected Oprah Winfrey ... Seriously 🤣🤣🤣.

Helped me deepen my voice. This app helped me deepen my voice and understand how to make my voice more attractive. It gives you some good “biofeedback” about your voice so that, over time, I’ve been able to figure out how to use my voice to achieve a naturally more masculine sound, which is what I wanted. You can do the same to achieve a more feminine or gender neutral voice if that’s what you prefer. Hope there will be updates with more celebrity voice classifications and other additions, but as is, was worth the price.

Perfect Daily Reminder!. It causes me to focus and practice!

It didn’t work at all. The app has access to my microphone and could not pick up any of my voice at all. And it gave no indication of not detecting my voice. Here, just take my money, I guess. You’re welcome.

Needs calibration. The app consistently thinks my voice is “extremely deep”, even though my voice is actually higher pitched than most people’s voices are. Certainly it’s very flattering that an app thinks my voice is “extremely” deep, however it couldn’t be further from reality. There is clearly something wrong with the algorithm used to detect voice depth, which defeats the whole purpose of the app.

Great!. I was skeptical at first but this app definitely surprised me! It gives you plenty of accurate info about your voice and there is no other app like it. I hope they add new features in the future to help you develop the voice you want.

Interesting concept. I really like the app and what it does but sometimes on the actual recording part it gets stuck. I don’t think it’s my microphone but I close and restart and have no way of actually fixing it. Other than that the charts and seeing celebs voice charts are pretty cool. I just wish I didn’t have to hope it’s gonna work today or not.

Buggy App. App is vert unresponsive and hangs when recording. Does not stop when I tap. Waste of money.

Great App - Needs an Update. First of all, Vocular is fantastic app that has helped me become more aware of my voice. People don’t realize how powerful their voice can be and thus don’t utilize it. Anyway, I can’t help but notice that there are features that have been advertised for a future update, yet this app hasn’t been updated in over a year. As much as I love this app, it would be great to have fresh new content, and perhaps more celebrities added to the database.

Fun!. I've never considered my voice to be bass, yet it says my voice is bass and deep to very deep. It definitely helps that you can see the frequency in which you speak on average, and how you can improve yours. I'm right on the money, so I ought to start charging to speak for people!

Amazing App!. I have higher than average voice and always hated to hear it on voicemail, videos, etc. i tried to use regular recording device and improve over time but hated hearing my voice recordings and also it was hard to tell if my voice is actually getting deeper. This app is amazing! I get immediate stats on each recording and can see improvement over time on a chart. I’ve been using this app for less than a week (also did suggested exercises) and my voice is already getting noticeably deeper. Wish I had this app years ago!

Not Bad. I would give it a higher rating as it has made me aware of when I am speaking with too much vocal fry, but I find that the vocal range tends to be inaccurate. I am a woman who has a tenor speaking voice, yet the app will at times claim I have a contralto speaking voice. I know our tones in voice changes at times, but what I don’t like about this, is that it’s confusing. Even when I am speaking in my natural low voice, and not softening it up, I will still get a contralto. It may not seem like this matters, but I would like some accuracy. Other than that, the app is good if you want to practice sounding better.

Good stuff. I like that it calculates variance and use of vocal fry, along with all the other metrics such as mean/medium/mode pitch ect.

Great app for public speakers. I’m grateful to have downloaded this app as it has helped me improve my overall speaking voice.I highly recommend this app.

Neat. Neat app, but I am not sure how accurate it is. I am a coloratura soprano and this app classified me as a tenor lol.

Hopefully A Serious Vocal Aid. Initially, I wrote a negative review (to say the least). The app's developer(s) chose to do away with the Pro Version fee in the app; now, it's simply a one time payment of $1.99 for the app - all the features in the Pro Version are accessible to those who initially just bought the app. I realize my initial review was unfair to the creators of this app, though I maintain the in-app charge was not a good idea. (If the app needs to make more money, bring that secondary cost into the initial app purchase.) At any rate, that's been resolved by the creators' generous choice to cancel all costs beyond the initial download payment.

On Point. If you are even remotely serious about personal development, or consider speaking to be a key component of your success in life, this app will propel you in the right direction.

Very user friendly app for taking 'snapshots' of your voice. I'm working on improving my voice and having a way to objectively document it as I try to improve it is great. I hadn't heard of the app until its author gave an answer on Quora. I thought it's cheap enough for an impulse purchase and luckily it worked out.

Great concept but totally ridiculous results for me. It’s a good concept for what it’s about. The results I got couldn’t be farther than reality because people tell me that I have a really deep voice. Some people I’ve talked to for the first time were surprised kind of deep. This app, however, said I was most relatable to Jonah hill????? If i sounds like Jonah hill than Leonard Cohen sounds like a 5 year old girl because if anybody that knows me saw that I sounded like Jonah hill, they would scoff 100% guarantee But like I said, it works great for some people as you can see by other reviews but if you have a deep voice, you might be compared to a female singer.
