Cool game except for iOS swipe gesture interference.. Cool game! Only issue is that on iOS, the inventory arrow and the phone’s swipe gesture overlaps and interferes with ability to play the game.

Surprising, challenging, well thought out. One of the best games I ever played.

Move the Task bar!. Great game, great story, could be great on iPhone! Only problem is the notification bar is in the way of the inventory! The amount of times i've tried to grab an object out of my inventory bar or slide an object out of it and pull down the notification center is ridiculous! I've had to restart so many times and gotten delays on doing certain tasks because of it. Just move it! It's so in the way and ruins the game. Other than than i'd love the game and would love to give a review about the entirety of the game if I could just get past the first level and not have to restart because I can't grab an object and instead I check what time it is and what my friends send me on instagram!

Audio issue. I wanna play the game properly but the audio is so quiet even though I have it turned all the way up and adjusted it in the game settings. Every other app’s audio works except this one. Please fix, not sure why this is occurring. I’m on Ipad btw.

Great Game!. I loved the story line of the game the plot twist is so amazing and i’ve never seen a plot twist like that it’s a great game but the tap to walk is not the best. You can also interact with mostly everything in game which is also great. Overall it’s just a good game very mysterious and a touch of scariness in it. Definitely one of my favorite horror games.

Best Netflix game. Keeps you hooked

Control problems. Keep opening notification bar when trying to access game inventory. This would somewhat be solved if the game supported controller.

Sound. Cool game. Played on pc. But I’m not getting any sound playing thru iphone. It says headphones recommended but no sound output with them not connected?

Doesn’t work on mobile. It’s a fun game but it’s basically impossible to play on mobile. You can barley use the inventory because it keeps opening notifications, and you can’t see what your grabbing because it doesn’t tell you, when that could be fixed by just showing the name when you drag your finger but it doesn’t do that. So it is fun for pc but not on mobile.

Honest review. The story of the game is 5/5 I love the plot twist in the game and I beat it within a week! One thing they should fix about this game is when you are trying to get into your inventory it open the iOS control center which pauses the game it gets annoying but once you learn how to use it then your okay! I would 100 percent recommend this game maybe to an laptop player (people on MacBook etc) just because it’s hard to control on mobile but it is a very great game full of surprises and secrets. You have to listen to every detail and that’s what I love about this game 10/10.

Needs a Better Format. This game has potential but the inventory being located at the top of the screen is a mistake. I can’t open my inventory and drag an item out without accidentally opening my notifications or opening a new screen.

Can’t Walk Away. This game is interesting and great puzzle game, but it has issues. First, trying to access the items on hand at the top usually means I accidentally pull down the quick access and notifications on my phone and then the game pauses. Secondly and most importantly, how do I save progress? Every time I go have to stop playing and I start at the beginning of the loop. It’s a time loop itself. Have a life? Here’s a loop for you.

Best iPhone Game App by far.. Okay, I've never written a review for an app but here we are. Y'all seriously this game is super fun and challenging. At first you're trying to figure out what it even is but i'm telling you this game is so challenging. The storyline is beautiful, it can be really lighthearted or it can be dark and twisted and regardless of what you do it's so many endings. Pay attention to EVERYTHING and I mean everything. What's so fun about this game you truly only have like 10 mins to complete and yes I truly think it's 10 mins real time because the task and everything you have to complete takes time. Don't get discouraged because you will get stumped and the dialog is repetitive but always remember, what did you do last time that can be different this time ? Analyze every step you take because the next one will move you forward. Such an amazing game, please make more like it. I just finished it.

Very unique. Fascinating plot unfolds at every repeat with what seems like unlimited endings you can control. Wish controls were a bit easier (ventilation) and more dialogues can be fast forwarded (cop on phone).

Good!. I love this game but I would like is we did not have to sign on or log in because my parents and me have not been on Netflix for a LONG time so yea I would like you to fix that

Crashes on Launch. I’ve been keen to try this; wad disappointed to find that it immediately quits when I try to run it. (iPhone 15 Pro)

Stands out as the best game for iPhone. This game is insane. The storyline and game play is really well done and “outside the box.” I couldn’t put it down and ended up binging the game in a weekend. I am desperately in need of more games like this!

Hard to move forward. I like the graphics and dialogue. However, without the spoilers it’s hard to know how to progress. In fact, I don’t even know what the end game is. But fun nonetheless if you’re in a drunken time loop yourself.

Didn’t have the patience. 3-stars as the game itself is a very interesting concept and the story goes pretty deep but I just didn’t have the patience to see it through to the end. You have to really be willing to bang your head against the wall. And the Notification Center keeps opening when I’m trying to drag objects. Really slowed things down so I had to repeat loops over and over due to those delays.

Deserves a Award. This game is brilliantly creative, with amazing performances by Willem Dafoe, Daisy Ridley, and James Mcavoy. I loved the storyline and the plot twist was unexpected. I love how you get to choose different outcomes and use your surroundings. 10/10❤️

Can’t sign into my Netflix. Keep getting an error every time I open the app. It tells me to log into my Netflix and then it says there was an error. But after reading this game will also require a subscription even though it’s supposed to be free, I think I’ll just delete the game and not waste my time.

Fairly decent. I cant use high graphics on my 2018 ipad? Please add the option whether or not it will lag older devices

Greatly different. Such a different game from the usual side runners or puzzles! But in a good way! It is dark .& twisted but that makes out exciting, if you’re not into that stuff don’t play this game !The story is pretty immersive from the get-go. The dialect can start to get repetitive because you’re repeating the same story but you can double tap and skip through it and fast forward a lot of it as long as your character has recognized the current questions & answers .There’s so many different cool ideas going into this game. There is some small issues with picking up taking certain items, but I noticed if I hold my finger on the screen for two seconds longer and make sure I’m picking up the correct thing it works just fine! Also the problem with it pulling the item bar down on IPhone is worth the IPhone! I have one & it happens all the games I play! It’s not the devs fault.. I still can’t figure out the ending, every time I think I finally figured it out there is more to the story! It’s a unique different type of game that I really really enjoyed. Thanks developers.!

terrible control. I cannot control the game with fingers on my iPhone because it is so hard to touch the exact object. They are so tiny and hard to control. Also swipe from the top bar triggers iPhone switcher and kicks me out of the game…

Great addictive game! Only one thing I didn’t like. Ive tried lots of games from the App Store and usually I stop playing very early on because they tend to get boring to me! This game though is the first game I couldn’t stop playing! It feels like your in a movie! You're not sure what’s going on in the beginning and not sure who to trust while your stuck in one room trying to find out the truth. It’s like a challenging puzzle with an amazingly written story so many interactive elements and so many possibilities. The graphics were something I also appreciated from a phone game too! The only thing I didn’t like is sometimes when you die and start over you had to also go over the same dialect sometimes as if YOUR character didn’t already know the answers to it. It was frustrating! I understand some dialect had to be repetitive to make the story make sense for all the characters but it was only sometimes when you had a new selection of questions and answers which was weird to me. Overall great game! I wish I could play again for the first time !!

Astonishing Mystery - a Perfect Game. Agatha Christie would be proud. This game is a compelling concept, and its implementation is masterful. Great writing, twists, and clever game play. It’s challenging, but as long as you’re up for experimentation, you’ll have a great time. I’m deeply impressed with this one. The problems that some folks had with Notification Center have been fixed.

Impossible to play. Like other reviews say, this game mechanic of touch and drop is basically impossible to do in the phone

Practically impossible to play with touchscreen. The most important interaction with this game requires you to drag/drop object with your finger using the very top of the screen. Instant frustration is had when the iPhone drop down menu is triggered with even the slightest of taps. I gave up after 5 minutes after realizing there was no way to fix this and it’s unplayable. Hopefully they’ll issue an update soon. If it wasn’t included on Netflix, I would have requested a refund

Worth 5 stars. I believe this game has a lot of cool concepts and its not only a game, rather a puzzle that really takes intellect and teaches you not to give up. I give it 4 instead of 5, because the title page is very long and it can get a little frustrating. But I did manage to kill the cop which was lovely.

Terrible. Right out of the gates I had no idea what to do. The controls are far from smooth, they are an inconvenience. If there was some sign of accomplishment or milestone in the first hour I played this game, maybe my patience could have been extended but everything I tried was pointless. This game is great!!. Okay so I downloaded this game and played it it was amazing! But also I was a little not excited to download it because if you know those times where you want to download these really really good quality and fun to play games that you see other people play, for example Amanda the adventure it’s a really nice game seeing other people play it but some iPhone and apple iPad users who try to download it it doesn’t show it just shows a bunch of knock off bad quality games of it and so that’s what I was thinking when I was downloading this game but finally I got to playing and it was the real deal! So much potential, if only it was used properly. The game itself starts off nicely with interesting characters, gameplay and mystery. I don’t usually prefer a dark game, but I would still play if it were any good. I enjoyed the game at first; it seemed like a bit of a dark puzzle mystery with potentially good storytelling. Where this one gets messed is when you get close to the endings. There is a twist that is meant to make it.. more interesting..? Anyway, it goes from a bit dark, but cool to creep fest in a matter of seconds. I’m not talking about aliens and zombies creepy, it’s more like have to take a shower creepy. I know it’s fiction, but it had no reason to be so morally twisted; the writers made a conscious choice to make it so. I thought it was unnecessary to have a twist like that and force the players in all of the endings to deal with it. For me, it completely ruined all of the effort I invested into the game. If I had known that’s where the story was headed, I would not have bothered. If it had a better story, I would be all for it. As it is, don’t waste your time on this tasteless and twisted waste of potential.

Best Game In A While. Give this a shot. Its amazing honestly and one of the better mobile/app store games out there not riddled with purchases. Fire.

Unplayable. The game is quite literally unplayable. The key to start the main game doesn’t even spawn. And trying to grab something from your inventory brings down the notifications. I don’t recommend.

Outstanding. This game was incredible. My only complaint is that the task bar made it quite difficult at some points. However, having that said, it was amazing. I had no idea how it would end and was incredibly shocked once I got to that point.

Amazing game. This game is truly a mind blowing game. The stories change and the dialogue has to be precise in order to figure out the game. And the ending is amazing way different than what I had thought it was! We need more games like this one!!

Not that good. Well, I have seen other people say play this and they do it well but what they have not told me is that they have to subscribe and to put in their Netflix account and I don’t watch or use Netflix so I did not have one and what is the point of that?

Good stufff. If I have to be honest that is the hardest most challenging game I’ve ever played but lucky I like a good challenge

Payment. I really wish I knew the app costed money before downloading. Wasted bytes and 10 minutes of my time not too mention I need to rent the game more than once every month unlike other regular games that charge around 5-10$ ONCE.

Awful interface. Absolutely horrible decision to put the inventory at the top of the screen so that any time you try to take something out the iPhone scroll down menu gets activated and keeps interrupting your game. I’ve died several times unnecessarily and had to start all over after significant progress because of how awful the interface is

Hard to use on iPhone. The controls are very annoying, with the item depository at the top of the screen. Every time you want to use an item you activate the Notification Centre screen. The game very nicely creates the actual frustration of having to live the same time loop over and over again. So yeah, a frustrating game. After 20 loops I finally linked at a walkthrough and would have never guessed what to do.

Why?. The reason I’m rating two stars is you HAVE to have a Netflix account to play the game. That’s rubbish. I can’t even remember my passwords. Why?

Arrow for bringing inventory is in top the moment I try to open and add item on table etc. It also bring down iPhone menu from top and then game goes into pause mode. Trying to cling on chair after setting up table and was not able to click on it 🤨 very frustrating

Very limited actions. Interesting concept but there are lots of actions that I would’ve liked to be possible but weren’t. E.g., tearing up the canvas of the paintings, looking under the bed, checking the tank of the toilet etc. Even if those actions led to nothing, I would’ve really liked to be able to do them.

Really liked this game. Got a lot out of this game. When I finished, I looked online to see if there was anything I missed and I had missed a lot. I recommend doing the same. Discover all you can on your own

Surprising for a free game. Totally gripping! Had to google a tutorial towards the end but definitely worth the download

A few issues. Could have been the way I played it, but the way the narrative was revealed I found it pretty uninspiring and a bit of an overdone narrative for time loops. The voice acting was also pretty terrible considering it was such big names, I was surprised, but maybe that’s more the fault of the writing. I also found the controls extremely frustrating on ios. The inventory screen is awkward to open, and dragging items down from the top of the screen kept opening the ios drag down menu and suspending the app, which would close the inventory and unpause time.

The best mobile game ever.. I love everything about this game, the story, the voice acting, the animations, the level of detail, i could go on and on. The plot twists are insane and i love how much thought the developers have put into this. This is a beautiful game, would play again. 11/10

ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED. The game is just amazing. I love the shining reference as soon as you start the game (the carpet motif). Everything in the game works together and their so many signs and symbols that represent a part of the story. The Morse code in the painting close to the fridge is very clever I love it. (For anyone that would like to know it says: All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time.) I had a lot of fun playing this game I hope there will be a similar game available one day. If you love solving crimes and playing videos games this game is made for you. I would to also thank everyone who made this game possible because you can truly see the hard work everyone put in order to make this master piece of a game. I absolutely love this game and everything that's in it.

Favourite Netflix game so far!. Amazing game! The visuals and plot are amazing! While the intro is slow, and many might quit due to rage (the game is difficult and requires a lot of attention to detail), this game has one of the best plot twists ever! You can also have multiple scenarios which become unlocked though game play!

Intro wayyyy too long. Like why, really, why?

Almost Unplayable. Every time that I try to use things in my inventory, it brings down my notifications. Every time I go to sit in the chair the character will pick things up off the table, which makes the wife storm off and I can’t finish the dessert, which is an important part I cannot skip. Game feels unfinished with how many issues I’m having during gameplay

Good game but some glitches. I’m playing it on iPhone and when I get to the part where I’m supposed to handcuff the cop, I am not able to put the handcuffs on him. I did everything right but it won’t let me put the handcuffs on him, I think it’s a glitch

Awesome Game. Great storyline and challenging! Once in a blue moon the controls would get stuck and I would have to refresh the whole game to fix it but other than that it’s amazing!!

Clear lack of skill and technology to create a game of this style. Netflix has once again failed miserably at a decent concept. The janky controls mixed with the horrible acting and awful dialogue make what could be a fun game super frustrating. Navigating the menus, inventory and different actions often results in you failing and having to restart from the beginning. I often get restarted due to the games poor design. Whoever made this game needs to look in the mirror and do better because they are failing in every aspect.

Love the game BUT. I just started playing this game and I absolutely love it but the controls to your inventory are annoying!!!! I cannot access my inventory without pulling the screen down to my actual phone and it constantly pausing the game, no matter how hard I try and there is no option to move your inventory someplace else where it’s not so in the way and distracting. Id give an extra star if there was a way to move it!

Read this before playing. Before leaving a less than 5 star review after opening the game and seeing this “unskippable” opening, just press the screen with two fingers. Shows you really can’t review a game until AFTER you’ve finished it. Keep in mind reviewing Netflix games will not give them in any way positive feedback as Netflix does not update these ported games, this review is simply just to help people. Game is recommended to be played on an iPad due to the menu arrow on top of the screen being physically impossible press without pausing your screen. As this is a point and click game, using a mouse adds a nice PC feel and works exactly like using a PC. Graphics on the iPad look nicer vs a tiny phone screen.

Good game, could use a few tweaks. Good game. My only complaints are that the controls are a little wonky, especially when it comes to using your inventory, which often results in pausing the game. There is also an unusual control mechanic near the end of the game that is different from anything else you do and clumsy, yet it requires precision. There are a couple of places where the order in which you do things is required to be more specific than is logical.

Played the game on PC originally. Seeing this game become free for Netflix subscribers was a surprise. Game is great, but one thing, what’s the with graphics options? I’m using the 2018 IPad Pro and I’m only able to set the graphics to medium and low, which look terrible. Why am I unable to switch to Ultra? Is the 2018 IPad Pro already that obsolete? Until this gets patched or that there’s a valid explanation for this, I’m keeping my 3 star review.

An incredible surprise. Download the game on a whim, and got absolutely hooked. Spent days trying to unravel everything the story had to offer. Did not expect to get this captivated or have true genuine emotions evoked by this game. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Love it!. It is a really fun puzzle game! It is definitely worth trying it.

Great Game, bad port. The story and game itself are great and I would definitely reccomend the game except for the fact that the controls on mobile are abysmal. The game is basically unplayable as whenever you try to drag an item down from the menu it pulls down the notifications. Another problem is how tiny some of the interactions are to where I will find myself repeatedly picking up a plate of food instead of pulling out a chair from the table. If these problems are addressed the game would be an easy 5 star.

Garbage controls. So difficult to do anything. Can’t interact with any inventory without triggering true Control Center which pauses the game.

Very bad plotting. Super small action window, poor distinguish between tap and drag, almost unreachable vent. Was a good game but on phone it’s super bad control.

Unique and interesting game. While the controls are easy, it takes a while to figure out exactly what is going on in this game and how to advance through it. The mystery of this game is what makes it so fun. There are certain things that can be changed, namely the inventory menu location that causes you to accidentally pull an iPhone menu and exit the game. Overall, however it’s worth it to download and play this game.

DO NOT PLAY. don’t play this late at night when trying to relax this game is anything but

Great mystery game. I was hooked until I finished this game. The only thing I don’t like about the game is not being able to play it again for the first time. It was so intriguing to unwrap the mystery. This is more of a combination of game/choose-your-own-adventure/cinematic storytelling. The voice acting is great. The story is great. For those complaining about the long intro… it does feel long when you start this not knowing what it is. But it’s not like that happens every time you start the game. Only the first time. The only think that truly frustrated me about this game is the inventory feature. You play this game with your phone sideways, and when you try to drag an item down from the inventory at the top of the screen, it will pull down your phones quick menu options and pause the game. Idk how they can fix that except maybe to put the games inventory menu on the side instead of the top. Highly recommend this game if you love mystery games!

Not Expecting This. It is a movie experience with amazing voice actors and dialogue. So many different little pieces matter so much. The whole game is cozy and a thrill. If you get stuck a lot which I did maybe just look at game guide. It’s really easy to make a lot of progress but miss some important early on information.

Outstanding. This is the future of gaming. I completed the game in about 10 hours with a few breaks. I got strategically stuck about 80% in and found some guidance via google. This game requires persistence, patience, critical thinking and calm nerves. If it had an easy, medium, and hard option it would likely have millions of users. Be patient and challenge yourself. It’s really fun. Choose your own adventure meets solve the puzzle.

Know when to call the daughter!. Amazing game. I couldn’t stop. The groundhogs day repeat is amazing and frustrating in a good way. Only bad was the inventory bar is so close to the top that I would swipe down and pause the game and need to click continue.

Wow!!. The storyline alone and the voice actors (hello! William Dafoe!) alone had me rate this game 5 stars!! This story had THE best plot twist I have ever come across, simply amazing. Main complaints I’d have is that the app caused my phone to overheat too often and it really could be more iPhone friendly as it was not available on my Fire Tablet.

Takes too long to start. I tried playing this game like 6 times. Each and every time it took so long to start that I never even made it through the opening credits. It sounds like it would be a good game on a console but definitely not worth trying to play on my phone. 12 minutes is the minimum time required to start this game. So, if you’re retired or unemployed, perhaps you’ll get to hear some of the amazing actors they supposedly have doing the dialogue. Idk because I never got into it that far… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great potential. Not being able to skip in the opening credits is a bit much but I understand. My main issue is that this game seems really great but the controls are laid out in a way that keeps opening my iPhone notifications. Drag and drop from the inventory at the top of the screen is not working for me and almost makes the game unplayable. If we can change that one problem I would gladly give 5 stars.

Not for me. Idk if I’m just dumb but this game was so hard to me. I didn’t want to even play anymore after 15 minutes of not getting anywhere

Amazing. Really unique, really immersive. It’s challenging, with the perfect amount of subtle, but solid clues. Very fun. I could not put it down once I started playing.

WTH. All this clicking and frustration for a stupid “twist” story??! Horrible. It didn’t even make sense. Stupid. I wasted so much time on this dumb game. Do not play.

Bad Placement for Inventory. Cool game so far. Its cool being able to try different things to see the outcome. My biggest complaint is that every time I try to use something in my inventory, I end up pulling down my notifications screen and pausing the game. This might be just for IOS, but so frustrating!

Ghastly Controls on Mobile. Basic inventory interaction is an absolute chore thanks to a baffling menu placement choice. Animation work is equally shoddy, with stiff characters passing through one another and interrupting one another’s voice lines.

Really great and unique game.. I started out playing a bit annoyed at the slow pace and no clear guidance. About 5 minutes in I realized that the same reasons I was annoyed is why I was enjoying the game. Every time around I learned something a little bit more and tried different things every time. I did get annoyed at how precise things were need for some items

What actually just happened?. I played this game at 1 o’clock in the morning on a whim. I was not at all prepared for anything that happened in that game. The game itself was amazing. The storyline was great, the game controls weren’t very difficult, the voice actors were amazing, Willem Defoe was in it, and the plot twist genuinely startled me. You can make so many different choices and get so many different outcomes. I loved it. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is the skipping dialogue and credit sequences. When I try to skip through some dialogue I already heard, it doesn’t keep skipping. I need to repeatedly tap the screen. You can’t skip the credit sequences, either. I’m all for reading about the great people who made this game, but maybe not 5 times in one play through. Overall, this game is not for the faint of heart. However, I highly recommend playing it.

Very interesting game. You can tell how much time and effort the creators put into this game. It’s incredibly well thought out and artistic. For anyone who’s a fan of the artistry in games, you’ll appreciate this one. What I like is that you can play for hours and never feel like you’ve completed all of the gameplay options. I was so sucked in, I couldn’t put it down. For anyone who’s a fan of black mirror type content, you’ll enjoy this game.

Unplayable. Can’t play because the swipe to open my inventory opens my app drawer instead. Weird design choice for a mobile game. Port much?

Great game. I didn’t know what to expect and I thought I’d give it a shot. I was really surprised at how much I like it.

Horrible controls. The game is interesting, curious, well written. But the controls are horrible and always messing up with os level controls. If you tap to open your inventory and try to drag an item, the os thinks you are interacting with the os and opens IOS drawer, which drags the game to the start page. Frustrating.

Extra long opening credits. So, I haven’t gotten to the actual gameplay. I opened the app, sat through a long (unskippable) opening sequence, finally got to the bit where the game would start, and it auto-selected a profile for me. Since it auto-selected a profile that wasn’t mine, I went to switch profiles, only to discover that it “needed” to reload the entire game, which also meant having to sit through the long intro credits again. I did not care enough to sit through that a second time. If they make the intro skippable, I’d give it another go, but I have no interest in watching a clock slowly tick backwards for several minutes again.

Great so far - but frustrating controls. - The inventory suggests a “slide down” gesture but because it’s on the top that triggers the app switcher; boom you’re out the experience. Even a regular tap can be problematic. It’s a common frustration in games now because Apple created so many OS-level gestures that it limits developers with app-level controls, e.g the bottom part of the app. Still I think the developers should have been aware of this and figured out an inventory system not requiring fiddling with the edge of a window. - The “touch object and let go to trigger” can be frustrating because it’s not always clear during the “hold” that the action will trigger on-release. Lots of failed interactions ensued. - Overall everything on my iPhone 13 Pro feels sluggish and not snappy. A game like this shouldn’t feel sluggish but respond quickly and being good at detecting my intend. The gameplay is not the interface. The gameplay is exploration and making choices that advance the story. - the characters bumping into eachother feels a bit clumsy. An avoidance/smarter path-finding algorithm could have helped. - Amazing idea. You can explore much and try several outcomes. The idea of a ‘reset’ sans Bill Murray works well and they’ve managed to make the reset not feel like a failure but another chance to progress.
