I passed. Got the premium version and did almost all the questions. Really gives you a lot of critical thinking questions which is good. The questions on the exam are much harder but it gives you a good idea of what the questions are like. Very easy to use. Shows you your best and worst subjects. Just took the exam yesterday and I found out this morning that I passed! This app couldn’t be better. I recommend getting the premium version. It’s worth the money.

This app is fantastic, makes passing easy. This is by far the best study guide I have ever used for anything. Its user interface is so intuitive and makes the app easy to navigate. While there may be some spelling or grammar errors every once in a while (like 1 grammatical error every 100 questions) The information it gives you is fantastic, the questions are almost identical to the ones you will get on your state test, and if you don’t get it correct it will explain why. I’ve always found it hard to sit down and force myself to study for long periods of time, but with this app if I’m waiting for food to be done cooking, or I die in a video game and then waiting to respond, I could just pull it out and study for a quick couple minutes. I single-handedly think this app for helping me get certified and change my life, as I got a job working for my county and I’ve never been happier.

A great study tool. I initially did not pass the emt registry the first time I took it around. I was ill prepared and always couldn’t find a way to study but if you struggle at all this is it. This app is a great way to study and I passed my next exam with flying colors so easily it cut the test off early. The questions are set up how the registry is and if you do not know the answer you will get a detailed explanation to every question you get wrong or right and it is a great way to learn everything you need to know. I highly recommend paying the fee to At least get it for 3 months. It’s a great tool if you want to pass your test. I will definitely be using this app for my Fire II exam. I thank the creators of this app very much for helping me get past a test I struggled with and made it so much easier!

Very helpful!!. This app is great if you like to understand why the answer is correct and why the other answers are not! I find this very helpful in understanding the big picture of what is going on with the patient. The daily quiz against the community is great and has some challenging questions! This app also has the option to take quick ten question quizzes which is great if you are sitting in your vehicle waiting for class or for those that read on the can!

A Sincere Thank You to Pocket Prep. I have never had my life changed so much from a single app so thank you Pocket Prep. I downloaded it a week before my NREMT-B exam and went through the 1000 questions during that time frame. I was still very nervous for the exam but was shocked to see that during the exam the questions were posed in almost the exact same way and I knew almost all of the material. I passed and now work as an EMT. Thank you!!!

Extremely Helpful. I passed my NREMT about a week ago after using almost exclusively pocket prep for 3 weeks to study. At first I was skeptical about the price of a subscription but it is well worth it. The mock exams really helped me get used to how going into the real thing would feel. The questions are very similar to ones you would see on the actual test. I really appreciate the explanations of answers, they helped me actually comprehend answers rather than just memorizing. Highly recommend m.

Huge Help For EMS. I am currently progressing on my Paramedicine Degree. The book we used for our EMT class was the same one that this App uses which is fantastic since it references the chapter and pages relevant to each question. No one in my cohort that used this app (at my suggestion) failed at the NREMT. Love using it to review scenarios and looking forward to using it for the NR Paramedicine. Why our program used PlatinumEMS is beyond me. When it comes my time to teach EMTs and help them prepare, I am going to just have them show me their progress on this app. It’s that good a barometer on your readiness to take the NR Exam. Huge vouch. Would pay more for clinical and lab tracking features.

Passed Because of pocket prep. First of all I want to thank this app. I used this app to study for both my EMT Basic and my AEMT NREMT exams and passed both first try! I feel like using the app definitely played a factor. The way pocket prep structured the questions were a lot similar to the NREMT exam. I also loved how this app would reference the questions from the actual books we use in class. Honestly recommend buying the subscription. 10/10 app

Perfect practice. This app was great in preparing me for my national. Definitely worth every penny! I would recommend this app to anyone studying to take their national exam. I took the NREMT-B and passed on the first try with this app! The app will also show your average compiled of all timed tests and quizzes you have taken and offers great explanations on every question. If you are soon to take your national, get this app and buy all the questions, you won’t regret it. Best of luck to you all!

AMAZING. Awesome resource to study with. Explains answer choices after every question and define terminology you might not be familiar with. DEFINITELY worth purchasing the 800 question package!! You can also customize your quizzes and choose the study only certain topics (including exclusively your weakest subject). The program tracks your progress and gives you a grade as you go. When reviewing the quiz questions at the end of your quiz you can also see how other users answered (it shows a percentage of “votes” for each answer choice and tells you what % answered correctly). All in all amazing app!!! Wouldn’t change a thing!!!

I passed my NREMT !!!. I passed my nremt exam today (first attempt), not completely because of this app, I will admit… you still must study all resources, however I’m not sure I could’ve passed without this app jogging my memory, 100% worth the $15 a month. I’ve seen complaints of people saying that the questions aren’t exactly like the nremt… well duh. It’s not supposed to give you the answers, it’s supposed to educate you, which it completely does, and pulls it’s sources from the textbook, which is awesome. it also keeps your memory/knowledge up to date. I finished my emt school, one week ago, and there’s some things I forgot/had some weak spots, and this app saved me! Thank you EMTprep!!!!

the BEST app for EMS test prep!. i don’t write many app reviews, but the fact that you all honored my legacy subscription on the previous app as premium access on this one is beyond decent of you guys, and for that alone you should get 5 stars. i used this app a couple years ago and passed my NREMT on the first try. i attribute that in good part to this app, it really prepares you for the style, flow, and content of the actual test. i love that i can customize categories and that it tracks my performance in each one. i also love the detailed explanations for each question, they’re very clear and concise. like i said, it’s been a few years since i got my fancy little NREMT card, but i still use this app constantly. it’s an amazing way to keep your knowledge fresh, even if you just want to do a question per day. highly recommend to all future and current EMTs!

Huge help. I relied heavily on this app to help prepare myself for the NREMT Paramedic test. After finishing the back half of my paramedic program online thanks to COVID, I wanted all of the extra help that I could get in order to prepare for the NREMT. After studying with the help of this app I completed the exam in 73 questions with a passing score. The app is phenomenal in providing realistic exam questions which in my experience were so spot on they could have fit in with the questions on my exam. My favorite aspect of the app is the “weakest subject” and “missed questions” categories. This allows you to first realize the areas that you’re struggling in and then allow you to drill yourself in those areas you’re struggling which. After my experience with this app I would highly recommend it to anyone challenging the NREMT.

Mock exam not showing up. Hi there. I’m currently paying a subscription for this app and don’t get me wrong, the app is good. However, I’m currently trying to study for an exit exam and I had someone told me that using this app and trying the beta version of the mock exam was the best way to study because he ended up passing his exit exam for EMT when no one else in my class has done so as of yet. The fact that my app is updated, I restarted both the app and my phone, and still not showing up even with me paying to access all features is just not acceptable to me. If possible I would love to be reached out with some assistance so that this issue can be resolved but until then my rating is not exceeding 3 stars.

Has wrong answers listed as correct.. Allot of the answers seem to help but I’ve found several questions that have the wrong answer in the AEMT section. For example I had one that said an Avulsion was an Amputation… an Avulsion is a flap of skin that’s hanging on. Other ones the answers will say the newborn PT had 70bpm and then when you go to answer the explanation is saying the pt had <60 bpm which has two different protocols. Some of the app is pretty good, but I’ve seen several like this that just end up making you frustrated and like your studying the wrong stuff.

I love the app but it running so slow. I would highly recommend this app, but the only problem I have been having lately it runs really slow now. I’m not sure why but it was ever since that update where you can see how other people did on question you answered I have been lagging so much it’s almost ridiculous. It’s probably ether that or maybe because answered about 300 question it slows down the app? I really love this app and would definitely recommend but since I’m broke at the moment I would think paying $30 something a month is to much for an app the crashes and slows down on me.

Paramedic School Study Tool. I downloaded this app after a paramedic recommended it to me. He used it his first time through paramedic school, and he was using it again to help him study for taking his national registry exam for his recertification. I tried the free version and loved it so much I bought the monthly subscription. It shows me exactly where I am lacking in my knowledge base, and helps prep me how to answer exam questions. Plus...when you get an answer right or wrong it give you an explanation, and then the reference material where to find that topic. Great study tool!

Great for studying, questions aren’t like NREMT. This app is a fantastic base for your NREMT studying! The explanations offered for each question are incredibly detailed and were a game game changer in my preparation. Some questions were poorly written or the answer was just plain wrong, but with a bank of 1,000 questions that’s to be expected. The biggest flaw of this app is that it doesn’t prepare you for the type of question on the NREMT. Your best bet for getting used to the style of questions on the national registry is studying as many different Quizlets as you can. This is why I think this app serves as an invaluable foundation of your NREMT prep, but it should not be the only thing you use to study. As you get closer to your test date, spend less time on this app and more on websites and apps that prepare you to get in the right mindset in regards to attacking these questions. I’ve just started using this again for my FFI/FFII exam preparation and I’m once again reminded why I loved this app so much!

Passed my paramedic exam first try, thanks to this app. I subscribed for the full version three weeks before my exam. I took the “quick” quizzes multiple times a day and whenever I had time I did a custom quiz of 30,40,50 questions quizzes. The weakest subject quiz helped a lot. I must of answered every question in this app at least twice. Yesterday I took my paramedic exam and it shut off at 150 questions. Today I found out I passed on the first try! It’s a tough exam but this app helped A LOT. Lots of similar questions with relevant knowledge, great explanations and it cites it sources from current paramedic text books. There’s no ECG strips on this app, that you have to go else where. But for $15 a month it’s a 100% worth it. I felt more confident going into the exam because of Pocketprep. So just get it, $15 is cheaper than the retesting fee!

Passed NREMT. I hadn’t studied prior to finishing the course which was about 4 months ago. I downloaded this app about 2 weeks before my exam. It really helped with getting my memory back with all I’ve learned in my course. Although, apps like these alleviate a lot of anxiety when it comes to studying. Your book is also very important. Let this app be a calm approach when looking up certain areas to study. What I like most is the explanation along with the page numbers. This app can prepare you on how to answer questions on the exam. Don’t overthink. The information they give in scenarios is all you need to answer the question. Don’t add what isn’t presented to you.

Outstanding. I passed the NREMT with this app, Paramedic Coach, and a local instructor class. The three provided great studying. This app is great in its explanations, possibly second to none. I marked all the items I didn’t feel comfortable with for review. The stats tracking is key. Thank you! The only thing that could make it better would be a flash card mode where it put up a term, you thought about what it means, then press screen to see answer. That would be even more epic.

Great! Could be a little bit better!. Passed my NREMT-B today in 70 questions. The app DID help. The questions ARE similar and the app definitely will help you pass if you’re consistent. Study CONTENT not questions. I guarantee you’re reading reviews because you’re an over thinker like me, and look to Reddit for advice. Do the 1000 questions twice. Read. Every. Single. Explanation. It’ll be engrained in your head. You’ll be fine. Download the app and pay the $15.. it is worth it. Ps. I didn’t even read my book.

Worth every penny. I’ve been trying to get my national for 4 years, and I stumbled on this app on accident. It was an absolutely godsend. I splurged and bought the premium out of wanting to make sure I did this right, and I’m telling you- if you REALLY want your national you will buy this app and practice every day. All I did was a quick 10 question quiz and the daily question once a day for 2 months, and not only did it keep the material fresh in my mind but it took away the fear of standardized testing. Trust me if you have test anxiety, practice this app EVERY DAY and you’ll break down that anxiety like crazy. I’m usually a decent test taker with some natural anxiety on test day, and practicing this app made me so relaxed I was almost bored during the test haha. GET THIS APP YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Best paramedic study prep I know of. I used this for emt school years ago and I did for paramedic as well. I had the bare minimum of questions on my nremt test for emt school (70 questions) and 80 questions on the paramedic nremt exam. I was in and out both times from Pearson vue in around 35 minutes. This has helped me feel competent in my skills and has helped me achieve my goals in EMS. EMS is already stressful and this app I give so much credit to. I bought the premium version years ago and they have honored my lifetime membership to this day. This program is worth every penny

Passed my NREMT. I just passed my NREMT EMT. I failed it the first time miserably, got so mad and disappointed in myself, And I heard about this app.. I studied every day for 6-7 hours a day. The test shut off at 70 questions. Using this app definitely helped calm my test anxiety. Since the questions were very similar. Big tip ! Learn everything there is about the heart / lungs / diabetes/ and types of breathing and there reasoning. Also when you see medical terminology you don’t understand, research it and remember the term. Learn about the chambers of the heart and how they pump and the electrical nodes. I’m not sure why I don’t see enough straight to the point tips... people make it seem like the test is complex when it’s not if you know your stuff

Amazing app. I’m a combat medic in the US Army, and for those who don’t know it is required to go through EMT training and certification to become a combat medic. And in the Army, we go through all the EMT training in 6 weeks, then take the NREMT and the psychomotor assessment, or all skills. Today I finished all skill, and found out I passed the NREMT. Without this app, passing would have been near impossible. Many of my friends here use this same app and they have all found it equally as helpful. This app is deserving of all the praise it gets. If you’re having trouble with your training, get this, use it, and you will be just fine.

Questions are Somewhat Misleading. The app has been pretty good so far but there are several instances where the questions will ask you to select 2 of the 4 options that are correct but you can only pick one. Example: “What are the TWO determinants of deciding traction when applying a unipolar traction splint?” Answers should be 10% of body weight AND up to 15 lbs. I selected the first and was marked incorrect when in the answer it was in fact one of the correct choices. Good app for the most part but definitely needs some work.

THANK YOU POCKET PREP!. I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to for this very helpful and effective study tool. I graduated from my EMT course in December 2020, took the NREMT exam immediately after and I failed! I was extremely disappointed and my confidence was down in the dumps. I put off trying to get certified until this year!! Right before the 2 year mark expiration in the ability to get certified after course completion. I started studying and glad I came across this app. The thorough explanations for right AND wrong answers were very helpful. The mock exam gave good practice for taking the real exam. The fact that you can pull out your phone anywhere and have a quick study session is very convenient. The premium subscription was worth every penny. If anyone is in my position or just wants a great tool to aid in studying for the NREMT exam, this is it. I am a newly certified as of today! When I first failed I went to the full 120 questions. This time around it cut me off at the minimum 70 questions and I personally felt the questions were not as hard this time around. Thanks again Pocket Prep! Don’t ever give up. Know your ABC’s. Use an EMT crash course textbook. Know your key terms. Know your signs and symptoms! Put in the work and you will see the results! Good luck!

Better than any college course i’ve taken. Going through college and EMT-B school i struggled with certain questions because when i got them wrong it wouldnt tell me WHY i got them wrong. Being a person who needs to know the “why’s” to learn from my mistakes I couldnt have asked for a better app. Id even go as far as saying you can scim through the textbook as long as you study every question on this app. With 1000 questions there isnt a topic it doesnt cover. Im going into my NREMT fully confident that ill pass with the knowledge ive gain just from those quick 10 quizzes more-so than i wouldve fresh out of emt school.

PASSED. I’ve been a firefighter EMT for 6 years and recently finished paramedic school, this app was super helpful . I passed NREMT for paramedic first try and only used this app 3 days out from the exam 😬😬😬 I took all 600 questions in 100 block increments . And after each 100 block I would research the questions I got wrong and write down the correct material on a notebook . I also re did all the questions I got wrong . Other then that my overall average on this app was 73% and I passed NREMT paramedic 1st try with getting cut off at 94 questions ! Hope this helps! Great app. Will recommend to everyone

Good app. This app does a good job on preparing you for the type of wordage and questions you will he asked. Yes the actually test asks more complex questions and compared to this app on NREMT the questions are closer to being right compared to the app where one or two seem right and the other two are completely wrong. I averaged a 91% on the app but once you go through it enough you stop learning cause you memorize the questions. It’s good app paying for it is worth it. Studying the book is good too but you also need to learn what questions are asking certain phrases and words can lead you to the right awnsers.

Passed NREMT first try. Passed at 70 questions on first try. If you are just answering the questions you aren’t going to learn and it won’t help you on registry. You need to read the explanations and understand the CONCEPTS when you get a question wrong. Simply memorizing the answer won’t help. Take notes from the answer explanations because they’re taken straight out of the textbook which is what the exam is based on.

I passed my NREMT!. I recommend pocket prep to everyone in my field. It’s very user friendly and shows you exactly where you need to study more. I combined this with the paramedic coach and took lots of notes. I got cut off at 70 questions on my national and found out I passed the morning after. This app was worth every penny, just don’t rely on only practice tests. Study the wrong answers or anything that you’re not 100% confident on, use your stats to brush up on your worst subject, and use a second method like the paramedic coach, the book, or a tutor.

Don’t waste your time or your money. Overall this app was extremely disappointing not only were the questions extremely poorly written, the question content themselves do not accurately reflect the content of the national registry. When I say the questions were probably written there was instances where the multiple choice multiple answer questions had different amount of answers than specified in the question. There was another instance where the question asked for the most likely cause of an issue, and then the answer justification said you needed to think outside the box when excluding an answer. Furthermore this exam seems to focus on specific lines of the texts used to create the exam, and not the kind of questions on the national registry. This test prep reads more like exam questions for specific paramedic course and specific textbooks rather than a comprehensive review of material. Overall I feel this app set me back in my exam prep.

Passed 1st attempt!. I don’t usually use app reviews because I tend to think they are fake or bots, but I hope this review reaches someone who is a EMT trying to pass their exam. I took my EMT class two years ago and got deployed overseas and wasn’t able to take the test before I left, I neglected the book and kept myself up-to-date with the material and had bring down most of it using this app for three months. At least I think I pass the national registry EMT test on the very first try. This app definitely is great, if you get a question wrong, or even tells you where to find the section in the book where you can find the true answer. This app is definitely a good luck to everyone.

Use this App. I don’t give reviews on a normal basis. After passing my NREMT I have given my gratitude towards the people that helped me the most: my family, my teacher, and this app. USE THIS IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOUR STUDIES! Honestly, the questions heavily mirror that of the NREMT. In fact, the questions on this app are almost harder than the NREMT. It list page numbers out of your book that was supplied by your class and gives a thorough explanation for every answer right or wrong. It’s worth paying for and I only wish I bought it at the beginning of my class instead of half way through. I passed my first try at a 70Q cut off. You got this just do your very best and get certified!

Passed Paramedic NR with 80 questions. This app prepares you well to take the NR. Most of the questions on the app are hard and really make you think.(you know the easy stuff so why study it?). I passed with the minimum amount of questions due to this app. I did all questions available and reattempted my missed questions to above 80%. I got a lot of questions wrong at first. The explanations taught me a lot. Right before the test I could get atleast an 80% on all tests. The format of the questions on this app greatly increases your testing skills and leaves you more than ready to absolutely slam the national registry test.

Great app!. Took my emt course approximately 4 months ago. It was coming close to my deadline and I decided it was now or never to take the test. This app helped me just recently pass the NREMT B test on the first try after almost forgetting everything. This is honestly one of the best apps I’ve ever had and would highly recommend purchasing the premium version. You can even use this app on your PC/ laptop which is what I primarily studied on.

Wow. So I’ve been in the fire service since 2007 I have tried multiple times to get my EMT and I just couldn’t get passed the National Registry. This year I decided to go for it again. I ended up buying the premium and getting through 500 questions. Even though it did have the question that were on the registry it still prepared me for the style of questions I was going to see. I am glad to say after 13 years in the making I have passed my national registry thank to this app. I was more comfortable answering the questions then I have ever been. Thank you so much for the help. I will for sure recommend this tool for the up and coming EMS providers

Great for overall exposure. This app does a good job exposing you to relevant NR style questions. The mock exams are good, but not as good as other's. Being that they're not adaptive like the actual NR is kind of a false - sense of confidence. But at the end of the day, these kinds of prep platforms aren't meant to help you learn the content, just prepare you for how the test can present. You still need to know the why behind you're treating someone. But, it did help me pass my medic on my first try, 80 minimum.

Get the App, It Works!. EMS Pocket Prep is a really great app/program. I attended a 4 week EMT course and was completely overwhelmed with the amount of content which needed to be digested and a lot of it self taught. After I completed my course I downloaded the app and got to work honing what was taught in my course into the content on the app. Doing the daily question along with the quick 10 question quiz was great, then doing the practice exams really helped too. I took my NREMT test and it shut off at 70 questions and I passed. It’s worth it, I promise.

I passed my NREMT-EMT using this app!. I used this app as a tool to pass my board exam. I took the exam once, six months post graduation, before and failed. At the time, I did not study and underestimated the test. This time I chose to study for a month before the exam. This app made me feel more confident with the exam. If you put in hours with the questions, you will see how to approach the scenarios. The reasons why and why not are broken down. It makes it so much easier to learn. I’m certified and thankful that I used the desktop and mobile versions. You can always practice. No excuses!

Don’t know how I feel about it!. So, I finished my EMT in March 2020, right when the COVID-19 blew up, so I wasn’t able to take my national exam until October 2020. I spent 6-7 months working (my job had nothing to do with EMT) and when the time finally came to take the test I jumped at the EMS app, as a buddy of mine used it and passed his test. With not much time in my hands I only used the app, paid and studied the 800 questions multiple times. Well, I passed my test! But to be honest, the only thing it was good for was to refresh my memory somewhat. The test was very different from the app questions. Much harder and trickier. I give much more credit to my hard work to actually learn in class than to the app. It’s not a total waste. It did something I guess.

Amazing app. The subscription is well worth it. I only had to have it for 1 month and I passed my NREMT on the first try. The best feature I recognized with this app was it’s explanations for correct answers, it gave in depth reasoning and even directly listed page numbers for reference in my Transportation of The Sick and Injured textbook which helped so much with my studying. Doing the quick tests are fun and help keep you in the right headspace and the practice NREMT is actually pretty darn close to the real deal. Obviously you should use more than just this app to study but I’d say this was my biggest help by far. Good luck to anyone else out there looking to take their NREMT soon! You’ve got this!!!

Helpful App. Passed NREMT on the first try. I’ve seen people saying the questions are different from the real test - yes it is different, but you should still use this app to practice, it helps. NREMT is deeper than the state one (at least comparing to the NYS one), meaning you need to know the meaning of each terms and figure out which one is the best choice, in other words, you still need to read the book carefully, but you should be just fine once you done that and practice with the app.

Passed Paramedic NREMT. I can’t speak highly enough about this app. Four of the folks I worked with passed their first time only using this app. I strictly used the app and over a week went through the entire question bank reading the “whys” behind each question. I got kicked out at 80 questions on the NREMT. I had a coworker that failed two out of three times. We all told him he needed to study with EMS pocket prep, he passed the third time. I’m not sponsored or paid, I’m just stoked to have passed and want to share my experience. Go crush that test!

Helped Me Pass my NREMT First Try. I’ll start by saying I passed first try, and it was thanks to EMT Pocket Prep! This app challenged me a lot more than the other study apps I tried, and I mean that in a good way. The app is very user friendly, and laid out well. You can use phone or tablet, and they even have a computer website based version (not to mention all the progress syncs for your account)! The data info really helps you see what categories you may need to focus on more than the others, and helps you keep track of your progress. You can even create custom quizzes for either all categories or specific ones, and you can choose unanswered, answered, flagged, and/or incorrect answered questions on the quiz. Pricing for premium, in my opinion, is very good for what it’s worth and what you get out of it. Definitely worth giving it a try!

Amazing App. I’m not usually one for writing reviews, but this app is truly awesome. I am currently preparing for my NREMT basic exam and I had beef using the premium on the old app. The old app was great too, but this new version is very well put together. It has great questions with thought explanations of why the right answer is correct and why the others are wrong. If you’re on the fence about whether or not you should try it, just download it. It’s 100% worth it.

EMS. I never normally write reviews but this app helped me a long side of The Lord Jesus to help me pass the NREMT-B I went from getting below passing in all categories expecting EMS OPPS (near passing) my second attempt to passing the third if you take this app seriously and study the definitions and buy Paramedic Coaches NREMT Prep course I promise you, you will understand a lot more and have better confidence going into your next attempt, but don’t forget to put God first and Pray!

Most useful tool I had. NREMT is difficult exam and I had failed my first attempt. I had used the app but I did not use it fully. After some time I was preparing for my second attempt and had a lot more focus. The app by itself should not be used as the only form of preparation but as a tool to get there. I used the app to help me understand where my my weaknesses and strengths were. Any time I missed questions I would always go back to the book pages the app was referencing from in order to get a better understanding. I retook the NREMT and and rather than getting asked 120 questions like the first time, I was only asked 70 questions. I can only assume it was due to my accurate responses. Thank you EMS Prep. I can now continue and grow in my career path.

Great study tool. I especially like the front page, daily quote. Gets me every time 😂

App is/can be useful. To properly study using this app you need to buy premium to unlock all of the questions, if you don’t you are limited to the non-premium ones. When you study a lot there are no new ones so you automatically know the answer. You also can’t just use this app to study of course, you will need more prep time with other stuff like, books, flash cards, etc. However, this app can help you somewhat and has good reminders when to study and keeps track of everything and shows you a percentage that you have accumulated totally through quizzes.

Excellent paramedic Study set. This app has done wonders for the success that I have had with applying field experience with textbook information. The app works great when I’m clinical and internship when there is down time. A few 10 question quiz’s throughout the day really adds up to solidifying the knowledge necessary for becoming more competent and confident in your skills and Dx. Highly recommended

Pretty decent. I’ve never ever left a review on anything but I will here. The app is definitely a 8/10 the NREMT has it worded a bit differently but when you get used to that it'll work out for ya. I wish I study other materials than just this but end the end I passed And yes I did have the membership and I do not regret it at all Tl;dr not a bad app get the membership and study other material too such as notes your book and videos

Worth it. I failed my first NREMT test pretty. The test question on the app are the closest you can get to the actual test. I did all 1000 question and felt way more confident and passed my second try. I wish I would have gotten this before I tried testing the first time!

GREAT !!!. I passed my NREMT at 70 questions, I studied this app for 2 weeks prior, just going back and forth with the questions along with a crash course book. I’d say that this app prepared me a bit more because of the scenario based questions. The questions for my test were not really similar to the ones on the app, but it did prepare me to handle them and I felt very confident throughout the test. Best $$ ever invested!!! Thank you pocket prep!

Misleading / Buyer beware. App itself seems ok at first use. My rating is for the price and how it’s conveyed to the buyer. States that it’s $8 a month….then the full year amount is deducted. Maybe I misread. Doubtful, but it certainly made me think I would be paying the monthly payments as long as I signed up for a year. Welllll to my surprise, my account got taken for over $100. I’ll use your app, but you won’t get any praise from me until I see that it pays off, which if it doesn’t, you WILL be refunding my money.

Extremely helpful but expensive. I have found this app to be extremely useful in prepping for my NREMT exam. It points out a lot of small stuff that I had either glanced over or forgotten. The only downside is that I can’t imagine this app is useful at all unless you pay for the premium version. I understand that they have to make money but it is a hefty penny. All in all, very good app and we will see how well it treats me when I test!

passed!!. used the app to study for my NREMT test. the app is definitely worth the money as it gives an easy to follow study schedule. every question comes with an explanation on the correct answer and why the other answers are incorrect. only thing i would change is it would be nice if there was more than one mock exam so you can see how you have improved after studying more.

Do you want to pass? Get the app.. This app will give you a good idea of the question structure of the NREMT. Honestly it’s all I used after the class to prep for the National. (And I passed 😝) Gives you the opportunity to review and find out why certain answers are correct, or the better option. Go ahead and buy all 800 questions. Even if you just do it for one month for the test, you’ll be glad you did.

Rise in price, drop in quality.. I purchased a q bank for life on their last app when they made this one they cancelled my access to the other. I was unable to redeem my last purchase so now I have to subscribe monthly which is frustrating. Other than that it seems that some of the explanations are incomplete. Nevertheless, it is still an absolute essential when preparing for your certification or recertification and I would still recommend it. Best of luck!

A Must For The EMS Field. Let me start by saying this app is amazing. I honestly think it’s a must for anyone in the EMS field, whether they’re licensed or in school. It’s a great resource. My only shortfalls I see/feel is I wish there were more specific “build your quiz” options. Having an option for just pharmacology would be great. So would things like infectious disease and toxicology. I also wish the question bank was a little larger. Once you’ve gone through all the questions, that’s it. Wish there was a way to reset that or have new questions pushed to your app. I know, 1st world problems. But like I said, app is great.

Misleading, didn’t reflect my real world test experience. Bought this app on a recommendation of a friend studying for the nremt paramedic test. Questions on the same subject would contradict each other. The same question twice has multiple answers. Additionally the real world test had multiple question formats while this only had multiple choice. I’m giving it three stars because I still passed the test but this was not worth the 15/month subscription at all. Not even close.

Passed my EMT-B, EMT-P, Fire 1/2, and my FP-C all thanks to this app!. I passed all my tests first try with this app. Normally I don’t write reviews but the questions this app has are EXACTLY the kinds of stupid, infuriating questions that the NREMT or IBSC has… and it’s just what I needed to get into the testing mindset. 10/10, if you’re taking one of these tests soon, GET THIS APP!!!

Significant gap in practice design. Solid app, well designed study tool. I actually have very few issues with it; but something that feels like a massive oversight is the question design between Practice Quizzes and Mock Exams. It felt like two separate sets of curriculum. The practice seemed like markedly different kinds of questions from the Mock Exams which were marketed as emulating the NREMT most closely. When I first attempted a mock exam, I felt as though I’ve been wasting my time on the practice quizzes.

Good but questions/answers are outdated. I like the app and all but a noticeable amount of the questions are based on older versions of the EMT textbook and so if you study based on the newest version (14) you’ll find questions that ask about things not covered in the textbook or answers that go directly against the newest info. For example, pocket prep says that patients should be ventilated ONLY at 10 breaths/minute and that doing it at a rate of 12 is hyperventilating. However this is not the case in the newest textbook as it teaches that ventilation should be between 10-12 breaths/minute for an adult patient There are many other examples of questions from pocket prep that not covered in the 14th edition of the textbook. Overall a good app but don’t feel too discouraged if you find yourself not being able to answer 15% of the questions

Passed the NREMT!!!. This is probably the first review of an app I’ve ever written because this app is well deserving of such a great review. I studied for a few weeks with Pocket Prep and passed the NREMT cognitive yesterday. I credit this app with my success. If you are looking for a convenient and efficient way to study for your exam then this is the app for you!!

Not bad overall but could use some work.. It’s not bad for studying but there are a couple questions that had way to little information to come close to identifying the underlying cause. Also spelling and grammar need to be addressed in the questions for example “what conditions need to be correct prior to intubation” was one that came to mind. Something small like that can for whatever reason throw people off.

Great tool!. I purchased the 500 questions for NREMT-A and am very satisfied with the quality of the questions. I do wish that there were more questions as I’ve already navigated all 500, but I can certainly say that I’ve gained knowledge and feel much more prepared for registry! Will certainly be using this app again for Medic.

Passed first time. This helped prepare me for the format of the NREMT. When going through this read the reasons why the answers are correct the material helps you think like the NREMT wants you to. Plus the explanations help you memorize other things that will help on the test. I passed the first time using this to study as well as reading my book. Recommend to help get you ready.

Misleading price structure - updated. Not excited about having to spend $15 every time I want to access a different feature of the app. $15 should be a flat rate fee that covers all features. Update: It seems that my phone was stuck on an earlier version, it updated automatically over night. Now I have access to the whole app

EMT School Necessity - Buy the Subscription while you’re in school. This app is like an EMS professor in your pocket! The content and style of questions are very similar to the kinds you will face in EMT school. The explanations at the end allow you to understand emergency medicine in a much more practical and intelligent manner. They also explain how the other answers aren’t correct which serves you to retain information for other questions going forward. If you’re going through EMT school, get this app and replace your mindless scrolling with it. You can get a great deal of supplemental education that way.

I PASSED NREMT-B!!. Passed NREMT and used pocket prep along with reading the book! Did all 1000 questions and two practice test. Very useful and convenient app. Test is way harder and has the most random terminology but pocket prep gives you just enough info to navigate through. Highly recommend.

Passed NREMT 1st attempt!. Thanks to Pocket Prep I was able to pass my NREMT on my first attempt-within 70 of the 120 questions! 100% worth the subscription cost. I paid for a 3 month subscription and utilized the quiz quizzes, mock exams, and review for missed questions. The app made it easy to sit and review questions during lunch breaks at work and held my place if I had to pause my review. Thanks Pocket Prep!

Best EMS prep app there is. I have tried a few other apps but none of them come close to the ease of use with this app. I took the NREMT yesterday and passed in 66 questions after prepping with this app through my EMT program, I recommended this app to all of my classmates and I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you to the creators of this app, you’ve really done people in EMS a solid:)

Great questions!. These are good tough questions that make you think. I am retaking registry after being out of the field for 8 years. Paramedic school was 20 years ago for me and this is helping get my brain back in the critical thinking arena again. I’m glad to have a resource like this to take a quick test. I make note cards of the missed questions from the explanations to learn from my mistakes.

Must have practice tool!. This app has a simple and sleek layout! Functionality was amazing with very helpful questions! Personal, I think the respiratory and cardiac questions were on point! I would say there should be more medical questions focused on picking the condition based on symptoms but that alone doesn’t make the app less than 5 stars! Amazing! I bought the 800 card pack which was worth every penny! Must have!

Definitely recommend!. I would recommend this app to anyone for sure. My schooling was great, but I feel this app helped better my foundation of knowledge and got me where I needed for the NREMT. I used the app until I was 100% on the entire question bank and I passed the NREMT on my first try!

helped me pass. I took my NREMT about a month after my class ended so this app was a lifesaver in refreshing me before my exam. I passed first try and I don't think I could have done it without pocket prep. I will definitely be using this app again when I start paramedic school

Best prep app. I watch videos to study and then use EMS prep to judge my competency of the material. This app does a great job at asking NREMT style questions. I’ve taken EMT and advanced EMT and passed both on first time. I enjoy the daily reminders I get from the app to study, I usually do at least one daily question and a quick 10 questions test.

Passed NR AEMT with this.. I used this app almost exclusively leading up to my AEMT National Registry test. Very helpful and I especially like how it explains in detail the answers once you make a selection. Cool you can do missed questions quizzes. Weakest subject quizzes as well. I’d still recommend studying some out of your book however on what your weakest subjects are.

Good resource. I purchased 1 month of pocket prep for my study up to the NREMT for EMT-B. I felt like I learned more in studying with pocket prep than I did in the entirety of my EMT course and it was based mostly from the book in my class. I passed the NREMT on my first attempt and I attribute that mostly to pocket prep. The questions are formatted a little different on the NREMT than on pocket prep but studying with pocket prep is definitely what helped me pass. I’d recommend this.

Paramedic. Definitely a good study tool, I passed my NREMT-P on the first try. Idk if I got lucky but I had the same question that’s on here but the rewording was different. The more answers I got wrong the more I learned :-), I was only getting 1 or 2 right and end up getting all 10 once I learned more and practice I definitely recommend this for studying for your Paramedic EXAM

Pocket Prep is a must for those that want to pass the NREMT exam. Pocket prep helped me pass the NREMT cognitive exam on the first try. It gives you detailed explanations for everything and even gives you the page numbers in the Jones and Bartlett book! Take as many quizzes and mock exams as you can before your test! Know your ABC’s, vital signs, and signs and symptoms and how to treat them.

AEMT. I used this app to help me with my National AEMT test. It was actually harder then the AEMT test and it helped me pass first try. Now as I’m entering paramedic school I intend to use it throughout my entire school because it helps me learn so much. I love the fact that is has so many different courses and tests to help you study for. Including FP-C!

Pandemic Paramedic Original. With in person lecture suspended and so much to learn this app has been a vital resource. It’s sometimes hard to know where to start and what to focus on. When you can hop on test yourself and see exactly where you’re lacking it makes streamlining your study time that much easier. Very simple and easy to use. A must for EMS students at every level

I recommend this app for sure!. Questions that were on the National Registry favored the questions on this app. Utilization of the feedback as to why an answer is correct and why the incorrect answers are incorrect is very useful. I recommend this app if you need a little refresher. 600 questions should hopefully get you there! Goodluck!

NREMT - P. Passed my first try with the help of this app. I used is 2 months out from taking my test. It helped gauge where I was at. Premium let’s you choose the category of subjects you want to be tested on. Explains the correct answer and is pretty spot on with the answers coming from the book. They give you mock test as well to mimic the national registry. 10/10 experience

Good enough to get your feet wet. I’m currently studying for my Paramedic exam and I’ve been using this app for a few months. Some questions are needlessly pedantic, some are inaccurate, others are worded oddly, some get WAY to far in the weeds for even what a paramedic needs to know. The ranked choice questions are annoying. Most questions are decent and relevant, but it’s obnoxious getting these absurd questions. I would only recommend this as something to start you off, not as your main resource.

Excellent. I will start off by saying this app is excellent for giving you extra practice before test day. It quizzes you on relevant material and tells you your weakest subject. I would recommend this as a suplemental to your studying. It is not the only thing you should be using. When used in conjunction with your book it enhances your learning and makes you a better test taker.

PASS 1ST TRY. This is a great app and the premium fee is totally worth it!! I bought premium for one week. I studied 6-8 hours a day using the app and reviewing what I missed. I was really worried and nervous for the NREMT. I got cut off at 70 questions! It’s super easy to use and the quick quizzes are really convenient for quick practice and feedback. Thank you pocket prep! :)

Passed first try. I’ve been out of EMS for 12 years. A lot has changed, there is a lot the 60 hour refresher didn’t cover. I had my doubts about this app, but thanks to the hours I spent using it, I passed the paramedic exam on my first try. I’m very happy that I paid for the subscription, it was worth every penny.

The BEST STUDY APP!!!!. I used Pocket Prep for both my basic and Advanced EMT. I passed both tests first time! This app is amazing, you can use it on any device, anywhere, anytime. It helped me see my weakest subject was, it gave me encouragement everyday, I looked forward to studying. I will keep using this app to start up to date on my information! Thank you for making this app!!!!

Great study adjunct, passed FP-C first time. So let me start this off by saying this is an awesome study app. Makes reviewing from a phone smooth as silk. The sheer volume of questions you have to work through in all of the different categories really pushes you to take notes and pay attention. I used this in conjunction with a prep course and 2 different review books (Back to Basics and the ASTNA Patient Transport 5th edition). The questions on this app are definitely not 1:1 for the actually test but the material it pushes you to review definitely is. Honestly the only thing I think would make this app better would be pictures of tracings from ecg / 12 leads, tocometers, IABP, and others.

Information out of date. The questions were helpful. However, they did not represent best practices in the United States in 2021. For example, we do not use the phrase (or even the concept) of “near-drowning” any more. We have fewer applications for spinal immobilizations, preferring self-stabilization for capable patients. We use CPAP machines routinely for prehospital care, but the questions’ best suggestion was high-flow oxygen for a conscious patient struggling to inhale. Good study tool, but too many outdated practices, especially for a premium app.

Past NREMT. Just on other one writing a review. I had purchased the one month subscription and took all 500 questions and multiple quizzes many times. And I ended up passing the exam. I have this app to thank for that. I do recommend. If you are on the fence about it, just go ahead and try it out. Absolutely would recommend to anyone needing help.

Top notch customer service/ good content. I didn’t even know it was possible to get good customer service, or a real person for that matter anywhere in the “app world”! Response time was decent, (which I can’t complain since a real life human emailed me back) and they fully resolved my issue! The app, questions, and explanations are much more legitimate than most other test prep sites I have joined. This one is my favorite of its kind.

I passed!. Used this app for my NREMT test after taking a EMT course and failing the first time and I passed 🫡. It works well in conjunction with the a text book and make sure you get >90% on all subjects before you attempt to take the NREMT. The question here aren’t on the NREMT(at least from what I saw) but they are similar and if you take to time to understand why you got it wrong you’ll do good. All thanks be to God🙏

Excellent Tool. I’ve used pocket prep from EMT and Paramedic and passed both times. The quizzes cover everything in the curriculums. The only thing that kinda bothers me was some of the explanations are just repeating the question and stating it as a fact. I’d like to see a more of a pathophysiology perspective in the explanations. Worth the time and money.

Game Changer. Helped me not only pass, but excel in both my class and on the NREMT. I Love the way it explains why the answer is right, and why the other answers are wrong. Provides you with everything you need to be able to make educated assumptions on questions you get stumped on. Passed NREMT first try, and got an A in my EMT class.

Passed my nremt!!!. This is an amazing tool to use for studying. Questions are similar to the NREMT questions and give amazing accurate information to help reinforce the studying. Cannot be anymore grateful for this app. I bought the premium for one year thinking I’d fail but turns out I only needed 1 month. That’s ok because this app deserves it.

Must Have. Thanks to COVID the second half of my EMT program shifted to online and was I forced to teach myself all the necessary skills. Never even got a chance to do any ride-alongs. I downloaded this app 2 weeks before my NREMT exam and it was a huge help with passing it. I love that it tells you what your weak subjects are and gives explanations to answers. Highly recommend it!
