Decent. This app is decent for studying/ doing practice questions. The rationales aren’t the best; some just restate the answer without explaining why that is correct and the other options are incorrect. There’s also no select all that apply questions so if you are wanting to prepare for NCLEX you should look into other resources as well

TEAS-86%. This was my primary study tool for the TEAS! I did about 1000 questions. I also read 1 chapter out of the ATI TEAS book on chemistry 2 hours prior to my test. That was all I did. I was averaging a 78% on in-app quizzes, I completed the TEAS with an 86%!

For anyone that doesn't want to pay premium. This is a good app. But for anyone that doesn't plan to pay for premium, it's not really worth downloading. The same questions will pop up repeatedly except for a singular question of the day.

Great except.... This would be my favorite NCLEX RN test prep app (and I’ve downloaded many from the App Store) except for the fact it’s subscription based. I can’t justify to myself paying monthly for a set number of questions! Now if the app changed the question bank every month, that’d make more sense to me but staying at 900 questions and then having to pay every month is a weird model for me. That’s my only complaint. I’d rather pay once at a reasonable price for the question bank and if they added like 900 new questions, I’d be willing to pay for new questions again if I needed them.

Good for everything except Bio & Chem (HESI). I’m not saying it’s BAD for these two subjects.. it can get you to pass. However, the actual test wasn’t as similar to the stuff ok pocket prep as it was for anatomy. I had to guess on a lot of stuff, and I felt horrible when taking the test. I ended up getting an 84 on each which were my lowest scores. So definitely use like four other sources in addition to the elsiever book and this app.

Life saver! 100% would recommend!!. This app was my main form of study for my HESI A2. And let me tell you it was a life saver! I swear this app is the biggest reason I passed my HESI!! And with high scores!! I felt confident going into my test because I studied with this app. It is 100% worth paying the money for the full access. You get of questions to study with and it gives you an explanation of the answer. The explanations helped me learn even more material before my exam. I plan on using this app to help me study for the NCLEX. I would highly recommend this app!!

Well I passed the NCLEX. Questions seem to be representative of the test, especially once SATA are added. Can’t really use it offline, because when you complete a quiz you need internet access to submit it, otherwise the results are lost.

TEAS 6. Used this app and quizlet to help study for my ATI Teas 6 for RN. Scored a 85% overall. The rationales are clear and helpful. Personally feel as if the app is harder than the actual teas test, so it helps you with analyzing the questions to pair with answers

Great resource for price.. User friendly app that makes studying less stressful. Rationales are thorough and help reinforce deficiencies. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing app!. I strictly used this to study for my HESI exam and it was extremely helpful! I ended up getting an 87% on my exam, which was way better than where I started. I would highly recommend this app to anyone!

Paying monthly and it went back to basic mode. Not a reliable study tool. I have TEAs in a few days and have been paying monthly for more questions, well now it just went back to basic mode after I have continuously paid for it. Time to call iTunes and ask for a refund and go back to book studying. Can’t believe I’m paying monthly for this and for some reason it’s still in basic mode with 10 questions. Terrible problem

Highly recommend getting it. The basic trial version is great so many things I forgot were made easy to remember and I feel ready for my test it’s worth it!

Could be better. The free version is ok. It does have me leaning toward not paying for the upgrade. There is one recurring problem that simply will drive me nuts. When scrolling down to read the selection of answers, touching the screen often registers as a selection, highlighting the answers in green or red, indicating the correct answers before having a chance to read through the answers. Not only does this affect your stats, but it also doesn’t accurately track areas of concern. Perhaps the settings on my phone cause the display to make this a bigger issue for me, but perhaps there could be an option to submit an answer- after selection- to negate accidental selections.

Thank you so much pocket prep. Pocket prep was my main method of studying for the TEAS. I also had the mometrix book (which I wasn’t a fan of) and several other aids such as Brandon craft (He is the BEST!) Carolyn McAllister, nurse Cheug, and other practice tests. But again pocket prep was my main aid. I did about 1000 out of the 2000 questions and I feel that they were a great representation of the TEAS exam and good practice of how the questions will look and how they will be formatted. I feel that the science section was much more intense than the actual test but I appreciated that because I felt more prepared. I was also a huge fan of the price. For only 14$ a month you get 2000 extremely helpful questions and I only had the app for a month so just 14$ for me. This was the best deal I was able to find. I kept hearing that ATIs practice test B was the most helpful but I was being cheap so I stuck to pocket prep and I passed! There were a few issues though. The app is very glitchy and I didn’t like the fact that there was only 200 reading questions out of the pool of 2000. Other than that thank you pocket prep!

TEAS 7 Pass!. Studied seriously for the TEAS for about two weeks using this app and the mometrix book! I definitely used this app the most, looking at the book only for the topics I was getting wrong on the app. Passed with 84%!

Amazing little app!. This app helped me prepare for the HESI A2 exam and I passed all the sections I was required to take with 90’s! It was so convenient to take the “quick 10” quizzes during breaks at work or any time I had some time to kill. It was also very helpful to see my stats and what areas I needed to study more. I’m so thankful for pocket prep :)

97.5% on my HESI!. I got this app 30 days before taking the HESI-A2 nursing entrance exam. I was very worried about the math, chemistry, and biology sections since I haven’t taken these classes since high school 7 years ago. With the help of this app and another test prep book I scored 97% cumulative (100% on chemistry and grammar, 96% on biology, math, and vocab, and 94% on reading). I highly recommend this app! Great questions and corresponding explanations.

Passed Hesi A2, now 3rd ASN semester. I’ve had this app for a while. I used it for my Hesi A2. I was accepted into nursing school, my Hesi score was a 92. I’m now a 3rd semester RN student. I have 2 more semesters until NCLEX! I’ve finished all classes with no less than an 85. Get THIS APP!

Great app, helped me pass the TEAS. I made a previous account using Facebook and there is not an option to log in. The developer team responded to my inquiry on the same day and transferred my purchase to an email associated account. I passed the TEAS with a 89% using ONLY this app. ITS WORTH IT

Awesome study tool!. I did not do so well my first attempt taking the TEAS test. I saw this app, downloaded it, and reviewed like crazy. I took the TEAS test a second time and I did 10% better than the 1st attempt. 15% better in both Reading and Science. I highly recommend it.

Overcharged.. Good app so far, but I was overcharged! I’ll continue to use the app and see if it’s worth what I paid for! I’ll come back and write a review soon enough!

Awesome study tool!. I love this app because it’s so easy to just pull up a 10 question quiz or the question of the day from anywhere. The rationales pop up immediately and are super helpful for getting better at answering NCLEX-style questions. Also way cheaper than most other NCLEX apps and it doesn’t expire after a set amount of time. I bought this at the beginning of my accelerated program and have been doing a few practice questions a day since I started. I already feel super prepared and I have a month left of classes!

Downgrade for iPad. Since the original separate apps are no longer functioning, I was forced to upgrade my apps on my phone and iPad. Sadly, the iPad display for the app only functional for the iPhone, so you're getting what you would see on the iPhone, not a full screen like the old app. I can understand wanting to have all the tests on one app platform, but they missed the mark on this version.

Worked for me!. I’m a full time student, so I had about 4 months to slowly prepare for the TEAS. I answered just under 1,700 of the 2,000 available questions. My average study score was 86% and my TEAS score was 84%. Overall, this app was my main study tool to learn/reinforce the content. The question rationales are invaluable. The questions are also formatted differently than what you’ll see on the actual exam, so I do recommend purchasing the ATI TEAS practice tests to get a true feel for what the exam will be like. I used the Mometrix study guide as well. Overall, I’m happy with Pocket Prep and will be using it for the NCLEX when it’s time to cross that bridge.

Worth the money for sure. This is definitely worth the money. I definitely feel it helped me more than the hesi books since it had so much more to study and a lot of what was on it was actually in the hesi. It’s worth it!

The app is OK. Great app and a lot of material to learn from, but the constant freezing is annoying!!!!! Please fix the bugs. I shouldn’t pay $15 a month for a slow app.

Excellent service. The information they’re giving is great, but their customer service is better.

Primary study method paid off. This app was the primary study method for TEAS preparation. I made it through 600+ of the 2,000 questions in the paid version of the app over the course of 3 weeks prior to the TEAS. I was averaging 76% in the app and ended up scoring in the 98th percentile on the TEAS itself. I read through (some of) the Mometrix TEAS manual and the ATI manual, but not much. I mostly used those two sources to review the A&P sections of the exam since it’s such a high yield topic. Ultimately I’m confident I would’ve done almost as well without those other two resources. If you’re looking to spend your money in one place, do it here.

Conquered my exam!. This app was a huge help for studying for the TEAS. I did about 1200 questions, including all of the science and anatomy ones. I also used the Mometrix book which I liked and a couple of library books with more practice tests. I liked that this app let you choose which subjects you wanted to practice, and the answer explanations were super helpful. I scored high enough to get guaranteed admission to my nursing program, and I couldn’t have done it without this app!

Convenient Prep. Solid app for quick, and easy access to study for TEAS. Good bank of questions. Stats to show your proficiency and areas to study.

Quizzes don’t resume where you left offf. I have heavily used both the TEAS and NCLEX-RN individuals apps and LOVED them. To say that they have been a valuable resource is an understatement. But I HATE the new combined app. I find it completely worthless, which is a shame since I paid for it. It doesn’t keep a record of your unsubmitted quiz and allow you to pick up where you left off if you need to come back to it. When you are a student who is also a mom there are many interruptions to your study time. The old apps allowed for that. This one does not.

This app is great! I just have to re-login every time I open it :/. For some reason, it doesn’t keep me logged in on mobile.

Ati Teas. This app definitely helped me pass my teas! It is worth it 100% I used it every night when I can. The app goes beyond what you need to know for the teas so you will be more than prepared. Before my actual test I had 80 overall from the app, but when I actually took the test I made an 82!! I definitely recommend! You will pass!

Super Helpful. This app is all I used to refresh my memory. The app questions are actually way more harder than the actual exam so this is a great tool for studying. I just took my TEAS test and got over 90%. I didn’t use anything else but this app to refresh my memory and I did it for a 9 day. I didn't even get to finish all 2000 questions.

Just took the TEASE. I just took the test and the English-reading and math was spot on to this app and the app prepared me well. The Chemistry / Anatomy was NOT spot on. The app offers wonderful information on the subjects, but gave very little help to the actual questions given. I think you the developers need to cough up $120 to take the test themselves and update the app to better address the current questions on the exam. I paid for the subscription and hope the other exams practices provide more up to date material.

When it doesn’t freeze.... I’ve used Pocket Prep before and have always been a fan! This one, however, takes at least 30 seconds to load initially, and it freezes frequently. I don’t have this trouble with any other app on my iPhone (6s). But, hey, when it’s working as it should be, it’s a nice app to crawl in bed with, especially for the quick quizzes. I do wish users could zoom in on the illustrations within the quiz answer explanations. Hopefully an update will fix the constant and frustrating freezing!!!

Huuuge help!. I used this and MOMETRIX. I have three little ones, work and finishing up another degree so my study time was not what I would have liked it to be. This helped me be able to study on the go . . . Kids pickup line, stop lights, kids bathroom breaks. I was able to get over 80 on the TEAS with the help of this app. I studied for 1 month. HESI 89% PASSED. Guys I passed my HESI yesterday with an 89%! This app REALLY contributed to my successful score in the biggest way during studying. The app is well organized, easy to navigate, and I used it daily for a month before my test. I practiced using all the sections except biology & chemistry, because they were not required for my exam at GSU in Georgia.

Amazing. I cannot recommend this app enough! Using it and the mometrix test prep book I scored a 92 on the TEAS! Well worth the premium if you have a little extra cash.

Like it so far, just somethings could improve. I really like this App so far since I like making my own quizzes. I think the critical thinking questions could improve a tad, or maybe just some more. Also am hoping to get more questions for varied age groups, paperwork questions, math Questions, Emergency questions. Basically just more questions in general would make me like this app more & be more helpful in my nursing career

Definitely worth it!!. I paid for a months access and it was perfect for on the go studying. It really does give you an idea about what you need to know for the test. It also provides detailed explanations if you get the wrong answer. Definitely recommend for anyone taking the TEAS.

Last minute study tool. My school gave me three days to study for HESI which was stressful... I didn’t want to overwhelm myself by studying my own notes from previous classes due to time constraints and was desperate for a quick review since it had been a while. I found this app and studied it and passed with an 87! So relieved and thankful for the straightforward questions and especially the explanations! I will definitely use this app again for NCLEX test! HSEI. The app seems pretty good, but I have tried purchasing the subscription several times and when I go and look it says I still have the basic kind. I’d really like to use this app to study but it won’t recognize I’ve purchased the subscription so I’ve canceled mine. ):

A nice change from textbooks & ATI. I passed NCLEX & got the highest TEAS score in my class (before nursing school). It was a nice change from dealing with the textbooks and ATI, because you got lots of critical thinking questions with solid rationals. I honestly feel like the SATA questions from this app were more like NCLEX than ATI. ATI is solid prepping you, this was just an excellent, low stress, customizable app that I highly recommend.

10/10 recommend for HESI!. I purchased the one month subscription to get more practice questions and quizzes…. let me tell you it was the best money I’ve ever spent! I made it through a majority of the practice questions in each subject and received a 93 overall!! I used this app 90% of the time to study and the HESI A2 book for the rest. This is such a great app!

Customer Service Lacking. Update: After a week I was able to get access to the content. Rob was cordial and followed up to see if everything was working after they fixed the issue. My recommendation is expedience for customer service requests since people need things to work when stressed out from studying and not worry about spending more money. Changed star rating to reflect overall value and experience with app and company. Customer service is lacking. I have to test in a couple weeks for ATI TEAS and the old Pocket Prep TEAS app keeps hounding me to use the new Nursing School one. Not only does the new app not give me access to the questions I need and paid for, the old app erased my progress and also does not give me access to my questions regardless of the money I paid for premium, it has been almost half a week and customer service has replied to me once and not fixed anything. I’m trying to be patient but I have to take my test and this defeats the purpose of me paying for this app.......

I passed my HESI!. I took my HESI entrance exam this last Thursday and I passed! This app was very easy to use and I enjoyed the layout! The questions gave a good foundation of what the questions would be like on the actual test! I recommend this app to my two friends, also taking the exam this month!

Loved the HESI A2 Pocket Prep app. This new app works great on my iPhone but not compatible with my iPad. The screen stays the same size as if I were using my phone. Please fix this!!! Update: They fixed this the very next day! Thank you!

Material. I used this app to study for the hesi a2. I would not recommend this app for the anatomy portion of the test. I used this app and it was definitely a miss. I’m glad I used other sources to study cause I would’ve failed if I used this app solely.

Great for Practice. I used this along with the Mometrix Study Guide, and it was great for practice!!

Hesi A2. The Hesi A2 study guide is a little helpful, but do not rely solely on this app as your main source of studying. I made that mistake and did not pass.

Scratch paper on each question. It would be nice to use the remaining space around the Question, so it is nice to incorporate the Apple Pencil.

Awesome. Very helpful in my study for nursing classes. There is so much to study and memorize and this really helps.

Slow!!!!!. App is fine, but obnoxiously slow. Will freeze often and forget about exiting the app to check another and tapping back in, because it will remain frozen forever. Horrible slow/freezing issues that were not there on the old pocket prep app.

No accurate information. A bunch of the questions are actually wrong or very very poorly written. This did not help me at all.

Doesn’t have all every test available.... Studying for Med-Surg Certification on computer and was prompted to study on the go with the app. Cool. When I download the app to take a couple quizzes, the app does not have the Med-Surg Certification available. Forces you to choose from the ATI TEAS, NCLEX, PAX, HESI and some other test

I’m not a fan. I downloaded this app and bought the monthly premium version in order to study for my TEAS test and it won’t let me do ANYTHING in the app. I can’t do a quick 10 question quiz , timed quiz .. zilch. I want my money back ASAP!!

HELPS. I used this for HESI a2. downloaded in three months before, but i didnt actively use in until the week before. A lot of the questions helped with getting the idea of HESI format. I used this and the hesi book from elsevier (and maybe some online practice tests). I got a 93.6 total. 86 read - 90 vocab - 94 grammar - 98 math - 100 AP. Which im pretty proud of for just studying 3 days.

Preperation. Great way to quiz yourself, and see where you are in terms of where you lack knowledge.

Current Nursing Student. I recommend this app a 100% currently using this app in conjunction with my Saunders book to pass my comprehensive at the end of my nursing program.

Expensive. Way too expensive for what it is. It’s cheaper to just buy a book.

TEAS EXAM SUCCESS. I studied for the teas for 3 weeks while only using Pocket Prep. Passed with a 76%!

Nclex pass rate. I am thrilled to use this app as the most tools to prepare for my NCLEX!

Disappointed. I purchased this this under the impression that it was an app of the the actual TEAS organization. It isn’t. I feel cheated. I have received several of the same repeat questions in the “Question of the Day” practice. I wish I had known this company wasn’t affiliated with the TEAS.

Just downloaded. Fun way to study, good mix of questions so far after about 50.

For nursing. This is an excellent app to study for the Teast test

Needs to be available on Mac. The app is good but it’s only available on iPhone, iPad and iPod. It’s hard for me to study from my phone or iPad. The app should be available to download on a Mac.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. This app has been extremely buggy for months. The questions honestly are way more complicated than the actual teas exam. Just buy the mometrix ati version 6 book and go from there. Steer clear with this one and save your time and money.

This app is the G.O.A.T. I purchased two HESI prep books on Amazon to assist me with preparing for my exam. The information in the books, although helpful wasn’t packaged the way I needed it to be as a busy mom of 4. Being able to whip my phone out and do practice questions anywhere really helped me and I believe was the single greatest factor in me scoring an 88 on the test. If you struggle with chemistry I suggest you search HESI chemistry on YouTube and review the video by Marissa Ann. Her video in conjunction with this app helped me tremendously. The paid version of this app is a must if you lead a busy life and struggle to find the time to flip through a book.

NCLEX RN. This app would be great for school if it actually had subject like cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurology separated but they consider subjects to be basic care, management care, and psychosocial. This app isn’t good if you want to focus on a specific area in med/surg. It’s not helpful for school exams; it’s only helpful when preparing for the NCLEX only.

Great study material. I have enjoyed this app it’s convenient since I have to study on the go. It breaks down the material as well !

Very glitchy. I just started using the app. And if my phone screen times out, or accidentally click out the app, it freezes. Sometimes I’m trying to use my phone calculator and can’t. I keep closing and reopening. Everything makes it freeze. The other app before never did that. Hopefully it’s fixed.

Failed my exam. I studied 1100 questions and I still failed. I tried and learned but none of the questions that were on the app were on the test. Do not recommend.

Annoyed.. Have used HESI A2- pocket prep for years. And love it. But now... the app has suddenly switched to a new one?? It worked for a few days and yes I loved it, the improvement was perfect! But now I don’t have premium access, when the old app says “premium access is honored” And now I can’t go back and used the original one I have already paid for! Because “this version of the app is no longer supported” 🙄

Unrelated questions. Not quite sure what’s wrong but my questions are unrelated to nursing. “How many yards is 5,218 feet”. Yes I know it but it doesn’t have anything to do with nursing so why would I purchase the app? 🤷‍♂️

It wasn’t broken.... Now it is. Constantly lags and crashes. Old app functioned much better.

Great. Was a great tool to use, especially on the go.

Could be more intuitive. I figured it out but the app just feels a little awkward. Wish I could put my finger on it but something about it didn’t feel very streamlined.

Helped me pass my TEAS. Studying from a book doesn’t help me much so I decided to give this app a try and I’m so glad I used it. I learned so much from the questions and answers that when I took my TEAS exam I was super confident. As we all know the exam is very broad, but this app did a good job in covering the range of topics on the TEAS. I loved that I could try missed questions again, and also question of the day. I took my exam yesterday and got an 80% which is considered advanced. This is just with the app, no books. I used the app almost for a couple of months averaging about 60-100 questions a day.

The maths is not well explained. Mathematics not well explained

Prefer original pocket prep. This new version doesn’t allow for rotating the screen on the phone or iPad. Takes away the ability to see the question and answer choices at the same time.

Where is the CST practice test since were forced to download this app?. I used to have the NBSTSA pocket prep app. It became "outdated" after i purchased it and i was redirected by the app to download this one. However i am not in nursing school and these exams are not the exam i will be taking, so where is the CST practice exam?????

Lost money on previous app. These developers purposefully disabled their previous app to multiply their profits. I purchased unlimited access to the content of the NCLEX-RN app for under $30 and now i am unable to use it, but am redirected to their new app which is $89 per year. Thanks a bunch.

More like a refresher app. If you’ve gotta take the hesi, probably just stick to a book. The whole app is just practice tests. Not much learning.

Passed the HESI A2. Passed the HESI thanks to this app. Did about 500 questions, got 86% on the app. Got 88.5% on the HESI. The HESI was wayyyyyy easier but thats cuz there was literally no science sections on mine, just grammer, reading, and math. Lol.

Very slow, even when using WiFi. It freezes, and takes a while to go to the next question

Downhill. I’ve been using pocket prep for years and it’s been an immensely helpful tool. But up until now it was always a one time fee for the full bank of questions. I can understand wanting to monetize more based on updated questions and good app support, but 14.99 a month is absolutely WAY too much to charge for this. Save your money and buy an NCLEX prep book which you get to keep forever, resell after the test, and which usually comes with practice questions and online support as well. Shame on this company

Absolute Scam. I’m very irritated by this. I spent $25 on soon to be outdated version of pocket prep and now I have to spend even more money? They said that premium would be honored and it’s not. Don’t waste your time or money.
