I passed CCRN. Although they recently updated the ccrn exam oct 2015, this app seems to be the most up to date compared to all the other apps I read through. I did make the purchase to access 400 questions, but you can also "like" their pages to access more questions--which I didn't do. The layout of the app is professional and easy to use. I like how you can "build" the content of your exams to focus on your weaknesses and "flag" questions to retest. This app really encourages you to stay on track with study reminders and "questions of the day." Really enjoyed the convenience of this app because it's accessible through my portable devices and I have my phone with me 99% of the time. Hence, "pocket prep."

I like the questions but.... They scam you by having a ton of repeat questions. It’s dishonest to advertise a pricey upgrade with 600 questions, then offer 1/2 that!

App needs work.. I bought the classic option. I keep getting repeat questions multiple times, so I'm not entirely sure I get 300 unique questions. The app has also lost track of my progress multiple times. At one point I had to email someone because the app wasn't able to restore my purchase, and after it was "resolved" it stopped working again. I do like this app, but it just needs improvement.

Uggg!. Sick of ...EVERY ...SINGLE ...TIME ..that I open the app it asks me how I did on the test...guess what...if I passed/took the test...I wouldn’t be opening the practice questions on this app to study for the test!

Passed the CCRN. This is a nice app which I used for many hours studying. After taking the test, I was able to realize that the question format on this app is pretty different than the actual test. This app is good for instilling and teaching the basics needed for the test. However I also purchased the AACN practice test and it was significantly more similar to the actual exam. Overall I would use this app in conjunction to other methods. It is nice having a desktop option as well as the mobile.

Passed.. I’ve been an RN in a critical care unit for two years now. I studied for my CCRN exam using this mainly - I did look at Kaplan and barrons as well...some. I can tell you this app is legit, and it gets its content from AACN approved texts. It has good rationale as to the right answers on the questions. I passed my exam with 101 correct (87 needed to pass). My only snit about this is I feel that there should be far more questions in the banks and the questions in the app could be closer to what the exam actually was. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t way off or anything, but the test’s verbiage was at times a lot more vague in the questions vs the answer (which I guess might be the whole point). Nonetheless this app helped me a lot. One thing that even in RN school I struggled with was heart Tones and what valvular dysfunction they represent. This app helped me really solidify my understanding of that. Even with those tiny things I think could improve, it’s worth every penny. Ryan Mauk, RN, CCRN

Review. Great tool

Passed CCRN on 1st attempt :D. This is a great app! Enabled me to find my weak spots and review them at any moment. Passing CCRN was surprisingly easy. Thanks!

Freezes. Good app, but lately it’s been freezing up and not updating my exam readiness feature. Would love an update to fix this!

👎. Some of the questions are repetitive. Dont think they resemble the actual test questions on test. Not worth the upgrade fee.

non-existent customer service. If only I can give this app a ZERO star. Don’t pay for this app, it is not worth it. I paid for this app and I can’t even use it. This Is the 3rd day that I’ve been sending them a message and still no response, for I can’t log in from my tablet to study. I’m gonna escalate this problem to get my money back.

CCRN pocket prep. Overall this app was very helpful. Some of the questions and explanations were misspelled, but you could still understand what it was asking. The daily question with the ability to set reminders to study were helpful. It was also nice to sort through topics and make your own quiz depending on what you wanted to practice. I used this app along with the AACN study guide questions and I passed the adult CCRN exam. No glitches while using the app.

Best review app. This app provides the best review for any certification prep. It also gives you a wide variety of questions for a reasonable price.

Great App...Study on the Go. I used this app pretty much exclusively to prepare for my exam, and I loved it. A good variety and number of practice questions are included, and I learned a lot from reading the rationales (even on questions I got right). I liked being able to take this exam prep on the go and do questions while I had a break at work or was sitting/waiting elsewhere. I also like that you can create exams of different lengths and even pick which content you specifically want to answer questions on (great if you just want to review a specific area...ie just renal or just cardiac). This app was the majority of studying I did for the exam, and I passed my CCRN exam without difficulty. I would highly recommend.

Slow at the end. I’m fwd the app to a friend. I took the test and passed and loved using the app!!! But it was really slow the more I used it and I did ALL bank questions. 700+. Glad to see that you’ve improved that bug! I’m sending the link to my coworker!

Ccrn failed. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable in critical care, but I did not pass the ccrn. I used this app as my primary question bank. While I think some of the questions were helpful I also think some of the questions were to simplistic and or did not correlate to my ccrn questions. I also feel like the test bank was pretty small. So time to start studying again but I will not be using this app anymore. Going to switch to pass ccrn and their test bank questions.

CCRN. I used this app in addition to the Barron’s CCRN book and the Pass CCRN book’s online question bank and passed the CCRN on the first try. The questions in the app were very similar to the questions on the test.

Great, quick study. I’ve stopped using FB, and instead, do this app... best idea ever! Already I have used some of the information in my job as an ICU nurse, as well as feel more prepared for my CCRN exam. The rationales are in depth; just what I need!

CCRN. Just passed the exam last Friday, this was only thing I used. I switched specialities in the last year which required a lot of knowledge refreshment and review so in a way that was me studying. Otherwise I went over this app and read all rationales to questions. I feel like the questions are helpful and provide good information but would recommend another resource.

No longer supported. App no longer supported, links to another app. Remove from App Store

Passed my CCRN. This app is very easy to use and to keep track of your progress. This app also highlights your weak areas and strengths so you know where you need focus on more. I passed my CCRN with the use of this app and the Barrons study prep. Both resources compliment one another very well and I highly recommend to anyone looking to pass their CCRN their first try.

Great to get this review online course.. It’s Great

Awesome!. Great app! The content is all references from the AACN CCRN review book, which made me trust the questions. I used this as my question bank for exam review and passed. Really great review!

Amaze N. This app was crucial in helping me pass my CCRN! It's great because it's convenient. We always have our phones. Whenever I was in a boring or uncomfortable social situation I would pull out my phone and study for the CCRN lol! I love the questions of the day and the reminders to study. It was also great being able to stop in the middle of studying and pick up where I left off later. Another great feature was that it shows you your weakness are so that you can focus in certain areas in order to increase your probability of passing. I definitely recommend this to anyone eager to pass and who loves their phone or iPad verses studying with a computer/book.

CCRN study tips. I used this app in conjunction with a Barron’s prep book. I passed my test on the first try. The app’s questions aren’t necessarily as detailed or difficult as other study guides but they’re phenomenal for quick practice and the rationales are great. I used this app every day for roughly 2 months - although you’ll fly through questions quickly, “repetition is the father of learning” as they say.

Ultimate = Pass 1st time. 5 stars because app does what it says it will do: I passed the first time taking the CCRN exam. Got the ultimate because of their guarantee. Did all questions on their test bank at least once & carefully read the rationales. If I was unclear about something I would look it up myself, if the rationale was not lacking for me. Did all the questions in 1 week... could have prepared better, but in the end passing is what matters.

Passed the CCRN exam using this app.. This app is a great tool to study on the go. I used this along with the Laura Gasparis CCRN review videos and I passed on the first attempt. I highly recommend this app for your studying needs.

Won’t let me purchase. I wanted to buy the ultimate plan but the links are broken and it won’t let me.

Good test taking strategy practice, but... This app is a good test taking strategy practice plus it gives you unconventional questions. However, some of the answers are inconsistent with AACN’s sources (i.e. AACN Essentials of Critical Care Nursing by. Suzanne Burns & Sarah Delgado). One of the question was with regards to the gold standard imaging approach for PE, the app says that it is pulmonary angiogram l, whereas in the book, it clearly states that it has already been replaced with CTPA as the new gold standard as it is minimally invasive and still has a high sensitivity to PE. So bottomline, good practice but know your sources.

Best practice. This is a very good review for the CCRN exam and very convenient; I have it on all my devices and I can take quick exams at any time and everywhere; the explanations are very useful,I don’t need to study a book;I’m happy with this purchase and I hope I will pass the exam soon!

Frustratingly slow. I have been using this app for 2 months to prepare for my CCRN exam. I liked it at first, but it seems to be getting slower and slower with more crashing. I think a 99 year old with crippling arthritis could run a half marathon quicker than this app could load my saved data. The questions are very repetitive; I can’t seem to find the 22 “unanswered” questions I have remaining. Maybe the developer does that so you can’t meet the qualifications for the money back guarantee. I’m very frustrated, as I purchased this to be my main question bank for studying. I will come back and complain again if I fail.

Not worth it. This app was a waste of money in my opinion. Looking over Barton’s and getting the question back from PASS CCRN has by far helped me out the most with my studying. The questions that are asked in this app are asking things that wouldn’t be part of a certain exam

I passed!. I used this app daily to study for the CCRN. Although it was sometimes glitchy, I love the Question of the Day feature. I also loved the rationales, the ability to take short or long exams, and the ability to find one's own weak areas and then take an exam on as little as one area. I have recommended this app (prior to taking my CCRN exam) to numerous people, and now after passing, I will continue to recommend it!

Erased all my data- never fixed or refunded. I never write bad reviews but this app seriously disappointed me. I opted to pay for the premium version, which said it included 600 questions. Yet I was constantly getting repeat questions, so nowhere close to 600 original questions. The app constantly glitches, and when I had completed 500+ questions, it suddenly erased all my progress. I couldn’t retrieve the questions I’d flagged either. I contacted the support, who more or less just told me to log out and back in, which I’d already done a few times. I told them it didn’t work and they said they’d “look into it” and then never responded. When I messaged asking for a refund, they never answered either. Ended up just getting a review book, this was a huge waste of money.

Could be great minus the kinks!. App and material are great for studying, however, it seems to have some kinks. The app often froze on me mid-test, logged me out randomly, took a while to load, etc. Slightly frustrating while in study mode.

Lots of bugs. The content and questions and UI of the app are great. My problem is the app freezes frequently and logs me out of my account and I have to log back in constantly. I have been the the middle of an exam many times and the app fails and I loose my progress. Yes, I have created an account, but if I’m mid exam it doesn’t save. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB. It’s been very frustrating loosing my progress when I’m mid exam, not to mention all the times it freezes and takes a long time to load.

Boo. Poor quality questions. Too easy. Get a real CCRN book to study

Great brain exercise for CCRN test. Highly recommended. Questions are straight to the point. May not be exactly the same as CCRN, but at half is pretty the same length or format. Great resource just to practice your brain in answering questions.. FAST. Time is definitely your biggest enemy when you’re taking the test. The faster you read the question and understand what it is asking you. The faster you get to eliminate what is not the answer and be left with the right choice. Make sure you take the time to read the question. And doing practice questions even if they won’t be the exact same questions on the test — will still help your brain think fast and make the quickest right choice. That’s the key to passing this nerve wracking CCRN test! And yes, I passed my test at 80%! I also did Barron’s 3 practice exams (2 in the book, 1 online), the AACN 2018 practice exam and I watched Laura Gasparis online videos twice! I did a total of 1500 practice questions and actually reviewed all the questions that I missed and I understand how I missed it. Mostly because I didn’t read the questions correctly. Be careful with those highlighted key words like “except” or “priority”. All the choices seems right except one, so pick the one that is not right. And all the choices are right but pick the one you would do first. Good luck! It was a very hard test. I took it yesterday 28Jul. But it was doable. Practice practice practice!! I also picked up the Certification and Core Review for High Acuity, Progressive and Critical Care Nursing 2018 that has 450 super long super hard questions. I only did the first 75 of the questions and did horribly, like 60% don’t panic, the hardest questions on the CCRN looks exactly like the ones on this book, but not all of them, you probably see about 25 super hard questions but you still have 25% chance of getting them right even if you’re just guessing. The rest of the hundred questions are pretty straight forward — meaning you either know the answer, or you miss read the question. You can easily eliminate the wrong answers or right answers if they are looking for that one wrong answer.

Great app! Highly recommend!. I love everything about this app! This app provides me with the ability to focus on one subject or multiple subjects at a time, the ability to choose how many questions I want in my quiz, the ability to see rationales as I go (most with references, including page numbers), the question of the day, and it even gives me little bits of encouragement along the way. It all is very well thought out, very well designed, and well worth the money. Also, I find it easier to whip out my phone for a quick study throughout the day instead of lugging around a book. I've tried several CCRN review apps and I keep coming back to this one. I highly recommend it! I'm hoping they come out with an update for the new test plan. I'd be willing to pay for that. Update: I just passed the CCRN exam. This was by far the absolute best resource I had! Thank you soooooooooo much!!!!!!

Review. I think the questions are good overall, but don’t feel like this app gives me a real test like experience so far. Stay tuned!

CRNA school advantage. For me, CRNA school is the only reason to get my CCRN. It gives you a competitive edge that may just bump you a few people ahead. This app has been fun to use and I find it super informative! I wasn’t interested in buying a CCRN textbook to collect dust on my shelf. Really pleased with my purchase!

Great App! Helped me pass the first time!!. Between this CCRN review app, the AACN’s online review course, Laura Gasparis-Vonfrolio’s DVD’s, and Baron’s CCRN Review book I managed to pass the exam the first time! I love that there are rationales and references to go along with each question! I also like that you can set reminders to do the question of the day and when to study. For those of you who don’t think you have time to do this then you’re wrong!! I’m more than halfway through the FNP program while working full time and still managed to study and take the exam during the winter break, so it’s most definitely doable! Remember... the more knowledgeable one is, the safer are their patients! Good luck everyone!!

CCRN. Sending same questions over and over.

Great App. Great study tool

Good explanations but.... Questions will repeat and still be counted towards your grand total.

Not pleased. I feel the questions are good prep questions however unless you upgrade you receive the exact same 10 questions each day. I feel there should have been more selections without upgrading. Also unless you do the “question of the day” at the time it alerts you you cannot go to it later. I did not find this helpful in preparing for my CCRN however maybe if you upgrade your question options are much more.

Great! ... but. I love the app still studying for .... but I’ll get there still having issues with slow to no response at times even with upgrade which kind is kind of frustrating

Does repeat questions. I paid for the 600 questions and have had many repeat questions so far and I still have close to 400 unseen questions, So feeling sure that I will be give more questions that I have already seen. Disappointed by this and feel misled. I paid for enough money that I should be getting 600 completely different questions. However the questions are good and I like that you can control how many questions at an time and when you get to see the rationale. It guaranteed a pass so we shall see.

Great questions, would like more. The questions are great, I just wish there was a larger bank of questions. I think it was 300 or 350 questions? The CFP prep has 600

On repeat. So many repeat questions. You get a 300 total questions with the version I paid for. $26+ dollars should get me 300 new questions not the same s#%^ on repeat. Unless I’m memorizing these this is not actually helpful. Super frustrating.

:). Excellent review tool. I used this 30min/day in conjunction with Pass CCRN.

Great prep!. Loving this app. The rationales are great, some could be improved but loving it so far. Have completed over 200 Qs so far

It worked I passed !. This was a nice app because the reminder feature helped and the question explanations gave a good jolt to dust off some old lessons

Works well, looks great.. Slick, well designed, exactly what I need for CCRN exams. Highly recommend to those who want to study without flash cards, a sure answer!

Wonderful!. Thanks for the great app. Passed

Review. This is a great review

Not impressed. Too many errors on the questions Rational not detailed enough Too expensive for the content Would not advise someone to buy this app.

I passed!!. Lots better way to study than when I first took the test in 1994.

CCRN review. Great app. Easy to use on the go! Highly recommended

Ok for on the go. This app is ok but don't rely on it to pass the exam. Practice questions from AACN much closer to what you see on the actual test

Excellent App!. Absolutely amazing! This app has helped me so much and the explanations helps to solidify the information even more! I couldn't be happier!

Yes!. This app is amazing, it has excellent rationales and is based off of the new CCRN test plan from October 2015..

Ccrn. Great app

SCAM ALERT!!! STAY AWAY. They have copied & pasted some definitions and small examples. This app does not reflect what is really on the CCRN exam. Once again this app is a MAJOR SCAM STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Super great. Easy to study with while on the go. Some repeat questions but overall really excellent

Sufficient to Pass the Test. The questions you'd pay for are really good and difficult enough to prepare you for the test. 400 questions with rationales and even images to illustrate anatomy and physiology. The rationales provided are even better and more in detail than the AACN's Review Questions for CCRN. This app also reminds you to study when you haven't practiced questions in a while. Definitely worth the money. Be sure to review all questions and rationales. All 400, then review AACN's review questions and you're good to go.

Could be an amazing app for studying. The questions are just ok but only some are explained in detail and referenced by the AACN Essentials of Critical Care book.

Excellent tool for CCRN prep!!!. Excellent app for on-the-go test prep!

Does not reflect actual questions you would see on the exam.. Question structure is not what you would see in the corn exam. Rationales are poor and so is the quality of the questions.

Good. The app helped study while I was on the go or at work and couldn't pull out my books. When you pay for it you get about 400 questions that are similar to the exam. Would not solely rely on this for passing/studying, but was good

Loved it at first. I really liked this app when I got it in 9/2015. Questions were great with good rationales. Everyday I did "question of the day". This really helped me when preparing for the exam (which I passed ). Recently they up graded the app and now I hate it. The layout is totally different, you can't review the questions of the day. You can't even re-read the question of the day. It's too bad that it was "up-graded "!

Waste of time.. The content is ok, however it only gives you 8 free practice questions at a time, then you have to start over again. Upgrade is 19.99. No thanks

I passed!. This is a great app! Easy to do questions when you're at appointments, waiting for food, very on the go friendly. Easy to study without carrying a book. The rationales were easy and making a test is very customizable. It gives you reminders to study and questions of the day, and breaks down your weakest areas. I passed the test yesterday! 108 questions right, needed 89. Thanks!

CCRN. Good review material

Great help!. This app is so helpful to prepare for the ccrn exams. Enough ques to practice. I like the reminder option.

Not enough questions. Great information and questions but not enough on the free version. The purchased version is expensive!

Best CCRN APP. I bought 3 apps to help me with the CCRN and so far this is the best app. I like how it gives me the option to see my results and read the rationale immediately. The questions seem fair and evenly distributed in terms of systems. You can control how many questions you can do and I make myself do 5 questions as soon as I wake up. I recommend this app to help you study.

So Far So Good!. I especially like the NCLEX style of questioning to retrain my brain for this type of test taking strategy. Also, it keeps me on my toes with the "Question of the day" and the alarm to remind you that it's time to study. Right now, I'm just getting started with the retraining of how to answer this style of test taking and finding general areas of weakness so I can study more efficiently. It reminds me of NCLEX Mastery which helped me finish the boards in less than an hour and with the minimum number of questions. I have no doubt that this app will offer a similar result.

Great App, too pricey.. This CCRN review app is superior functionality wise and the interface looks crisp and fresh. I just simply think $30 for premium content is too steep of a fee. I would recommend a $14.99 price point and I think that you would generate more revenue because more people would be willing to go for it. Otherwise, great app! Thank you for the free content.

Excellent!!!. Perfect for on the go practice!

False advertising. I bought the premium version which promises 600 questions. There are so many repeat questions that it seems like there are only 200-300 original questions (and that is being generous). That is the very definition of false advertisement. I attempted (twice) to get answers through the app to address the problem, but was dismissed and ignored. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and see where it goes from there. App NOT worth the money.

Wow! Worth the money!. This app is great for the money. It has great questions and gives you the detailed rationale. I take my CCRN next month. I will update after I take it to compare how it helped me prepare!

Very effective way to study.. This app is easy to use and very informative. It was most beneficial for me, because it gives test taking strategy and the questions are VERY similar to the ones found on CCRN. You can study a few questions at a time or 100, which helps if you don't always have a lot of time to study. I went through the questions on here daily and I passed the CCRN!

Review. Nicely constructed program

So far so good!. I've only been using the app for a few days now, but the questions are great and I love the feature of saving questions for later review. I also really like the question of the day. Plus I get daily reminders to study!

Fairly good. The app has good questions and nicely explained rationales. It keeps track of how many days left until your actual cert test and reminds you daily. These are great features. My biggest frustration is that every time you take a quiz you are given random questions, and about half of them are questions you have already have. It would be nice if questions you have already had and answered correctly were taken out of the mix.

New to app. Just bough full app. So far so good.

Fantastic CCRN resource. Was VERY glad to see pocket prep has an app for critical care nursing. A friend had picked up their Teas app and loved it and now I can see why. You can create custom tests and review each category to assess your strengths and weaknesses. It keeps a tally of scores and shows you how you're improving. For example, my worst subject is hematology/immunology. I haven't sat for the CCRN yet but I will update my review after and comment on the content accuracy. So far the questions are challenging and the explanations are super helpful. Overall a great value!

Constantly crashing.. This would be a great app if it didn’t constantly crash. I purchased the full app for 29.99 and did not even get through most of the questions before my exam because it would not load or would crash.

Great app. Used a lot before I took the ccrn

Great app!. You have over 400 questions that are in the same format of the actual exam. Helps you practice anywhere and really easy to use.

CCRN. Excellent app, great test questions and preparation for the CCRN exam!! I love the question of the day!!

Nurse. Love it! Handy when I am on the go, money well spent!

Reviewing for the CCRN. I found the app easy to use, and definitely worth it for the info it provides within the questions and answers. It is helping me to focus on the areas I need to study to pass the test. I will review again after I take the test next week.

Passed CCRN with Gusto. I used this when I was on the go.

Okay but lacks important explanations. This app is very well constructed and the layout and interface are the best I've encountered. However, the explanations are terrible and contain very little (almost zero) real information. In this sense, the app is relatively useless. It's okay for a portable question practice but without good explanations the learning experience is extremely limited. To the developers: A proper explanation explains why the correct answer is correct, describes what makes incorrect answers incorrect, and gives any other pertinent information. Fix this and you'll greatly improve this app. For examples of great questions/explanations, consult Laura Gasparis' CCRN practice book, the gold standard of CCRN prep. Thanks!

Mr. Does not work

Paid for this app and it does not work. Terrible
