Needs work. Nothing hard about playing hard mode but I know this will not change. You simply rarely win because your AI partner is stupid. Doesn’t know how to trump opponent who bids nil when opponent has clearly won the hand. AI partner trumps me with a spade even when I’ve won a hand. AI partner more often than not over bids. AI partner bids nil while having all cards above the number 10 in multiple suits. No way to cover their hand. Another example is you get a hand with all cards below number 9. You can’t bid nil because you have one spade and it’s the ace and your AI partner only has 1 or 2 winning hands with the opponents having the rest. When this happens 2-3 times is a row it’s game over and you don’t stand a chance. You might win 1 out of 10 games. Very poor programming and shuffling !!

Rigged. Why can’t there just be a non-rigged card game app? The higher you get in the “rankings” (a pointless part of this app), the more your “teammate” becomes absolutely inept. And the better your opponent gets. You’re one of 4 people, with 3 of them working against you. A truly random shuffle and cooperation from your own team is apparently too much to ask for. Because apparently nothing can just be what it is these days. There has to be strings pulled to tilt the scales. I don’t get fired up about losing, but I do get fired up about watching the scales gradually tip until eventually your “teammate” is just a complete clown and your opponents are dead on every time, because you can always count on your “teammate” to make sure their predictions come true. Shame on these classless developers.

Good interface, rigged hands. Update: The developer states that “all shuffling is done randomly.” The developer does not state that the DEALING is random. I suspect that the cards of the automated players are redistributed (or dealt) after the bids are made. In the end, the teams usually meet the bids exactly, which suggests that the hands are recalculated/redistributed to match the original bids. ———— Original review ————— The game is fun to play, but at higher levels the hands are obviously not dealt randomly. I understand it is difficult to program a “expert-level” bot without manipulating the deal, but it becomes ridiculous. It also appears that the program shares knowledge of the hands between the bots. It it obvious the hands are dealt for a predetermined outcome because the hands dealt at higher levels are much different than at beginner’s levels. At a certain point, the computer opponents play improbable runs of A-J spades in multiple games. The game is engaging, but I suspect many players stop playing when they see the hands are manipulated and not dealt randomly.

Excellent App. I am really impressed with this app, excellent game play and easy to learn for beginners! I haven’t played this for over 30yrs, brings back memories of childhood for me. I do wish the bots wouldn’t trump my tricks when they’re my partner and would play together to set a nil bet on the opposing team, but other than that it’s been wonderful to play this. I’m actually spending too much time playing this! LOL The ads are minimal and I also love that! Big Smile From Me!

NIL problems - deleted game!. I’ve been enjoying this game. Like other players, I have noticed that my partner will NEVER cut the opposing team’s NIL bid, it always takes the trick when it has a lower card which would have cut the NIL. I’m the only one who even tries to cut their NIL. However, if I bid NIL, the opposing team will frequently cut my NIL by throwing low cards. (If you don’t believe me, explain how I could win a bid with a 4 of clubs, and my partner threw off but had a spade left). The other team is the computer and it knows my cards. My partner is also the computer and it knows their cards but it will not support my NIL by taking the trick when it has the card to save the NIL. It’s very frustrating!

Same plays, lame opponents. loved this game at first until I realized that they were using the same exact hands over and over again, and the results would be the same in each hand. Every king, I laid the opponent to the left the ace. it’s AI. It becomes frustrating because it’s not really a skill. It’s a computer making all the decisions. It’s unfortunate because I like the game until I figured out that the guy with the frying pan in the sizzling egg really? Lame.

Top Twenty. I love the game but once you get into the top 20, you’re basically done. You can have a really big lead over the others players and then they just somehow gain enough to put you back to 4th or 5th place. How do they manage to get that many points in a few hours. Plus, I’ve been getting horrible hands and you’re “so called partner” will actually play against you. I realize I will have to continue to play to keep the lead but don’t keep taking it away from. Long Ads. I absolutely love this game. However, you say your ads are 5 seconds long, and they are 3-4 times longer. They have a minimum of three screens and each screen is 5 seconds long. The first screen gives you an X to exit, but then another screen pops up. When you click the X on that screen another screen opens. Most of the time a pop up screen will appear with a link to the App Store and you have to close that screen too. I understand I can buy out of ads, but it’s not just a buy out like most other apps. It’s a subscription. Like I said, the app is a lot of fun and I love playing it, but if you’re going to say the ads are 5 seconds long, please make sure they are.

Game rules. The game is really a lot of fun even though it’s kind of rigged, if my team bids NIL, the other team knows exactly what cards to play to set us, but it’s almost impossible to set their NIL. The rules I learned to play by states that when a NIL is played, the player bidding the NIL gets to pass their 3 best cards, and their teammate passes 3 cards back, also, when a team bids 10 tricks, they receive 200 points. It would be really great if the rules of play could be adjusted to make the game more official. Thank you and I hope to see the changes in the game.

Rigged game. Worse developers than WGT Golf developers in how they cheat the cards to where one rarely wins. I contact all of the developers who place ads on this one and inform them I would never use their games or product. CHEATS!!! Got a msg from the developer. Nope. Bravo Sierra! The algorithm manipulates the cards. Developers say “they” don’t” and hide behind the algorithm. UPDATE!! Do not attempt to prevaricate again Developers. The game is rigged to have the opponents win way too many times. You are prevaricators!! All those who advertise are contacted to inform them of your CHEATING! If you developers say you don’t load decks I wonder…do you kiss your mothers mouths with your lying lips!

Cool Game with an unfair advantage. I don’t like the fact that I’m playing against bots and not real people. Your partner will help the other team win by laying off an opportunity to use a cut card thus causing you to loose the game, and will also beat a card that you have beat, like playing an Ace on top my King…and I’m like “WOW dodo” really?! Which will also cost you the game because now you’re short a book. It’s much better playing a real life game with real people. And would rather choose my partner, not random trash bot players lol. The bot opponents already know what cards you have, so it’s easy for them and your own partner to set you up when they get tired of you winning lol. Happens to me all the time. I don’t liked rigged games, but I guess it’s good for passing time.

Partner. The other opponents play much smarter than my teammate. My partner never play’s back into my hand. Never attempts to drain the opponent with spades. And take the power out of their hand. Always dumps an off suit. And never playing back into my lead. The opposition knows how to drain the spades out of control. So you cannot cut with spades. My teammate has NEVER done that. And too many times when my teammate is the last to play, he will allow the opponent to win the book. So the objective of my game is to MAKE my teammate play spades instead of holding until the end. I have to make my teammate play with me instead of against me. Then my teammate underbids all the time. As many as 4 books

Fix this!!!. Even though this is the best Spades app right now, there is still something major that you all really need to fix. Today I watched my partner throw a card that kept my opponent from busting their NIL. my partner then turned around and threw a lower card that would have made my opponent bust their NIL. you say on the app that you read every review, but apparently you don’t because I’ve already complained about this and so have several others.

Too many glitches. This game used to be so much better but seems like in the last several months it glitches a lot. It has strange sounds when some of the ads come on and you can’t get rid of the glitch until you shut down your phone and reboot. Also it freezes on ads and I have to reboot. That’s gets old! Today I tried that and even after I did the sound (machine gun sound) continued when I rebooted. Also once you offered the purchase option now the ads have gotten longer. I have also noticed glitches in playing. Many times when I see trumps come out the first time on a suit their supposed to be out of. That suit they trumped before will come out again and then they will play that suit. Also I’ve seen someone go nil and then get set but it’s not counted against them. They still get their 100 points. So this game needs work. This was my go to spades game but now I’m finding myself playing different ones because this app is messing up too much now. Please fix these issues.

Review. While your programmers can read their initial hand and bid. The play doesn’t match. They take obvious over books just to make their bid even though we have already made our team bid. When hands are under bid by 2/3 or more they don’t dump high cards that initially weren’t bid as books. It also seems that all the robots hold their highest trump cards to the end even if they have already made the team bid. It should be that if you didn’t bid the card initially and the bid is short of thirteen, the card should be sloughed. Your version of the game is not any different that others that I’ve tried. The programming is similar. I don’t think the robots ever played in too many real games.

Love this game, BUT. I have played this for some time. Finally I’m getting fed up with the “guest” player who is ALWAYS in the East position on the board. As I’ve mentioned before, the Guest has an over abundance of Nil hands. This morning was the worst. In the first six hands, the Guest had five Nil hands! SIX HANDS, FIVE NIL HANDS!!!! I’m in the Grand Master III now, and I just can’t put up with that anymore. If East doesn’t get the Nil hand, West does. I get a Nil hand occasionally but in all the hands I’ve played, I can honestly say my partner in North position has had a Nil hand less than a dozen times, and never more than once in any game. The bias toward East and West positions is unfair.

Frozen ads. I enjoy playing spades but my ads are always freezing. The ad will play most of the way through but when it’s time to exit out it will freeze so I have to exit out of the game and pull it back up . Because of this I don’t always get my rematch. If I’m sitting through the ad I want my rematch I’m not watching it for nothing . I’ve noticed the higher I moved up the more I lose. It seems like I’m paired with a bot that’s not getting all their bets . The bot team is always getting better cards. So I’m always wanting to just forfeit. I may stop playing soon because of this . It’s starting to get more frustrating than fun .

Terrible game!. This game in the beginning seems to be legit. After a few games of give and take things slowly begin to change. The computer gets hand after hand of nils. Your partner and you get nothing that match and nil hands, with the ace of spades. You get hands that are 4 bids… you barely make… or don’t. Meanwhile the computer opponents bid out of each other’s hands and you are dealt nothing to stop them. In the beginning you win some, you lose some. Then it goes to they win most, you don’t win much. Soon it’s you lose most you hardly win any.

Ads are too long - Please offer PAID version!. This is my favorite single player Spades app - with 1 big exception. They advertise that ads are "skip-able" after 5 seconds. That is true for about 25% of them. The rest you can skip after 5 seconds THEN you have to watch 5 - 10 seconds more and THEN it takes you to a 3rd part of the ad and if you skip that too soon it takes you to another screen prompting you to download the app they are advertising. All of this lasts about 15-20 seconds. Ads are after every hand and a hand of Spades lasts about 30-45 seconds. Just be honest guys.

Find Another Spades Game. I have played this app for several years and always enjoyed it until recently. When they first gave the purchase option for ad free I wasn’t interested but decided to go for it. At first it wasn’t bad but now there are leagues set up and you get moved around. I was ranked first one day and twentieth the next with most of my points wiped out?? What?? Why would I pay to play to be dumped to last place? The other crazy thing is the change in point you can win or lose and the rematch. Sometimes you get the option to rematch once, next you can rematch give time, then another game you will get no rematch option. Really have ruined a good app that I have recommended to many people and we are now moving on.

Great app. I had never played spades before. I download a couple of other ones and they had a horrible directions on how to buy. This one has great instructions on how to play and has great tips under the settings function. All the ads are five seconds or less. There are only ads between games and matches not while playing a hand The app generally loads pretty quick. When it does load, it always gives you some tips. I do wish there was a way to replay those tips because sometimes I don’t have time to read them. I would highly suggest this game.

MobilityWare Spades. I’m gonna say this just like it is. MW will of course say they value my input and then thank you. In other words……just the blow off cliche. This game started out fun. You would win some and lose some. But you would at least win SOME! Once you reach the high levels (like Diamond) the winning stops. You won’t even be able to successfully execute a Nil hand. Your partner (which you can’t chose nor change) will consistently overbid or just plain fail to make their bid. I have been playing 5-8 games per day since I started. And I’m done. As soon as I write this I’m deleting the game and try to find one that will let me win once in a while. Oh….also canceling my subscription. See, I had such high hopes for this game I actually shelled out the fee for no adds. A typical game has the opposing team consistently get 70-80 point hands. While you’re stuck getting 40 points if you’re lucky. Then they will go Nil plus get 60 points in tricks. So that’s 160 points. You can see how they blast thru a game in about 5 or 6 rounds leaving you in their dust. So, if you like running into brick walls and getting stressed out about always losing then go ahead. Get this game. Then come back and read this review again and I can say, “I told you so”……

I had to uninstall it and reinstall it please fix my status. This is one of my favorite Spades games online. There you can make sure there’s no cheating. I have recently enjoyed the new challenges you throw in the game as I had adopted the Scally wag! it was fun playing with that character but when I had to uninstall it to reinstall it because it was acting up this weekend I lost my status in the game all of my rewards in the game and to be on level 2800 something is a lot I play these games just about every day every night you all see how much I’m on the game it would be wonderful to get my status back. Ms.P

Random? Discouraging. The other team has had outstandingly better hands than our team. They have been able to go nil about 20-30% of the time. I have almost always had spoilers. They have also had one player get 5-6 spades several times. I had one hand like that. It doesn’t appear my partner has had any. Also, the player to my right and left have had different types of hands. My partner and I usually make our bid, but they just have higher bids ~ and very rarely go down. When I was younger, we frequently played spades so it is not a new game to me. This game is getting discouraging since it seems we can never win.

Did enjoy. I did enjoy playing thought is was one of the best spades games made until you see that they cheat. I don’t like the fact when you can take the lead from some one that you are behind they put you both on the same team to prevent you taking the lead. I don’t like how the team the players up. Not only that if you able to take the lead from someone or is leading someone they put you on the team with that person and they make you lose the game purposely. Game starting to be unfair have to find me a new spades game now.

One star for brief enjoyment. I have enjoyed Mobilityware’s Solitaire game for several years. In the last 24 hours I gave added, briefly enjoyed, and deleted Spades and Free Cell by the same designer, and I want to give the explanation. FREE CELL: I enjoy winning a game of Solitaire as much as the next guy, but I’m not such a tyro as to believe that I could jump into a game I haven’t tried in ten years, and win the first ten hands in a row. No option here of selecting the rstio of winning deals or level of difficulty. No challenge, I’m gone. SPADES: Okay, I recognize that ads are the price I pay for using a free app—but three ads in a row for something called “Adblocker”? That’s just a little “on the nose,” as they say. And when Cancel takes me, not back to my app but to the Install page for the app, I call that dirty pool. Mobilityware, take a tip: take the features from Solitaire and incorporate them into your other games.

Love the Game Too Many Long Ads. I totally understand the need for Ads. Most games I don’t mind them too much as they allow me to explore new games I may not have otherwise been aware of. However, these Ads are after every hand and they are in 2 parts making them way too long. It ruins the game experience. I’d rather pay to upgrade then sitting through the same long ads over and over. Ruins the game for me. There must be a better way for consumers to get an enjoyable gaming experience while developers make their money. Pay to upgrade maybe? IDK in the meantime I’ve gotta find a new game. This is a good spade game if you can stand the same 45-1 min ads after every hand.

Setting a NIL player. The only thing, that I absolutely hate about this game is that the Programmer(s) is (are) very limited in their ability to program their algorithm, (or A.I.) to “set” another player… instead of trying to make sure they get their trick. You losing your little 10 points is worth setting someone -100 points, who goes NIL!! And 15 seconds when playing other “real or live” players is ridiculous! You know what you bid and so you know your cards… 5 seconds is adequate. Other than that, I absolutely love the game!!

Not bad. Update- got booted again, again with a winning hand. It’s infuriating. I hope you get this issue resolved soon. It never seems to happen when I’m losing. ?? This is probably one of the better Spades apps out there with a couple of exceptions. First, I get booted with great hands and can’t get back in. It happens rather frequently and since I don’t have this issue with my three apps, I’m inclined to say they need a bigger server. Second, slow players are allowed way too much time to make a move and that’s infuriating! Beyond that, I love the sounds, animations, and especially that other players can’t spend all their time talking instead of playing.

Really like the game but…keeps crashing. This game is fun, nice graphics and like the ability to adjust settings BUT it won’t open! I’ve had Spades for a couple years and a few months ago wouldn’t open. I deleted and reinstalled to have it work for about a month and now once again it will not open. What’s up? Thank you! Update: I received a reply but didn’t know where to respond to your reply. Also, I again deleted spades game and reloaded and it still won’t open

Game computer almost always wins. Great game, fix a few bugs. After playing for months on end the game is almost predictable. Your “partner” is just about useless I understand it’s a computer but your just about on your own. In competitive mode I understand it’s supposed to be hard but after playing I figured out the computer almost always knows what cards you have especially if you bid nil so you lose that round. Kinda annoying but after playing for months on end with almost no progress in the game almost given up. Tried to give it a shot but good fundamentals hence the two stars

Please!. I really like the spades game BUT have the same problem with the ad for World Poker Game as the review on 7/30 labeled “Nice Game”. If you have multiple people complaining about this it would be nice if you would look into the problem . It won’t “x” off. If you try, it sends you to a search area. If you try to go back from that screen, you find yourself back at the World Poker Game ad. I can only delete the spades game and reinstall to access the game at that point. Then shortly after reinstalling, the ad comes up again and I am stuck again. It’s very frustrating and I hope something can be done about it.

Taught me how to play Spades. I downloaded this app two days ago, and holy moly— I’m so addicted now that I’ve already made it to the Gold III tier… 😅😭 I love a lot of things about this app: For one, the names of the animal competitors are absolutely adorable—I mean, you’ve got Wooly the sheep, Gobbles the turkey, Waddles the duck, Scooter the snail, Pinky the flamingo, Vladimir the bat, Cobalt the wolf, Skylar the bird… freaking iconic. The other thing I love is the animations at the end of each game— I bet those took forever to make, but they’re awesome, and they even cheer me up when I know I just lost the game… I’ve seen each of them like three times in the past two days (gosh I have too much time on my hands 😭), but they still haven’t gotten old. My only complaint is the app freezes up quite often to the point where once it’s been frozen for like five seconds, the only solution is to exit out of it mid-game.

Does multiplayer really involve other humans?. I ask because the vast majority of my hands are roughly the same. I have just enough high cards so that I can’t go nil, and am stuck bidding 1 a lot. Or I’ll have Ace in a couple of suits and then the Q of Spades singleton. It’s rare for me to get a really good hand, and in 66 multiplayer games I think I’ve had AKQ of spades ONCE. I’m no math major but a preponderance of hands like this makes me feel like it’s not at all random, and that I’m playing against bots in multiplayer mode. Overall a great game but it does seem tilted against me.

Almost perfect, with two issues that nag at me. I love this spades app and prefer it over any of the others. That said, two issues tug at me that I wish could be resolved. One, there is no bag counter for players to keep track if they have enabled the bag-penalty feature. The warnings are nice, but a counter in the corner of the player and opponents bags would help with strategy. Two, my teammate bot drives me NUTS and almost always cuts with a spade right after I’ve busted an opponents nil bid. Like almost every time. If these two items were addressed I believe I’d never download another spade app again.

False advertisement. It says play with friends and yet there is no function to play with friends, only with random players. Added to note that I agree with a lot of the other reviews that once you reach a certain level the ai starts to cheat or not play to win at all. I’ve had several games where we bid 6 or 7, with me having the most books and my partner with 1 or 2. The problem lies when say they have no clubs and everyone else has played and the opposite team has the highest card, they never trump it just let it skirt by. So when it’s time for them to get their books they can’t because they have low numbered spades. It’s infuriating, especially when they do three times in a row.

Started great but went bad quickly. This was great fun until you got to higher levels. I’m at the end of this app. I am NEVER able to successfully get a nil and I am no longer able to break their nil. And my partners are stupid! The last game I did I was able to get 8 tricks and my partner went nil. We had it- BUT my partner went nil with a A, K & Q of hearts and I only had a 2. We lost with those last three moves. This is typical. I ALWAYS have to under bid to cover for the stupidity of my partners bids and how they play. I have an average bid of 3, if I’m lucky. I know to NEVER go nil unless I have only 2-3 spades that are under 5 and all other cards are high cards from J -A. Otherwise, they break me every time. And IF I should be successful and get that nil, my partner breaks his bids by not getting them! So I rarely get my 100 points. This is all predictable 💯 of the time and very, very frustrating! It’s obvious that the other two players know each others hands and play accordingly and always win, especially if they go nil. I feel I have to play against 3 and not with a partner. I’m at Grand Marshall, ultimate tier, at level 3. I have been dropped back down to level 4 twice, due to my partner’s inability to play and AI teaming up and cheating. I am now about to delete this app! 😡😡😡😡 it is aggravating! This started out great but has gone bad quickly!

Greta game. The bots are smart, but not too smart. They’ll remember when a suit has been cut by spades previously by the other team. Your partner and opponents play the hand smart when there’s a NIL involved, but not so smart that they auto predict each others hands, you can still break your opponents nils. The ads are just the pop up and close ads, not the annoying ones you have to watch and hit the x to get out of 3-4 times to close it. No ads during gameplay just between hands/after games. Overall a smooth, aesthetically pleasing offline spades game. What would be awesome in a spades app would be the ability to play different modes, or make your own rules. I know lots of people play spades differently, like if you bid 10(dime) on your first hand and get it it’s an automatic win, or if you bid 10 you get 200 points instead of 100. I didn’t notice a blind nil option in this game but I might’ve overlooked it. Lots of people play joker joker deuce ace, and I’ve yet to see a spades app have the option to run that version of the game instead of just ace high. A pass and play mode would be nice, or a way to directly invite a partner/opponent

Spades Mobilityware. One of the reasons this is such an appealing game is there are a number of choices I, as a human player, can make in each round that has an effect in the game. The Mware Hearts is not as “friendly”. It’s programmed to give the human player the Queen of Spades almost every hand. You’d never know there are four players that she might be distributed to… Back to Spades. My frustration is with the ultimate tier as I’ve made it to the top position. I did that with Hearts, as well, but am less interested because of the programming with the unwanted Q-spades. Mind you, it takes a lot of time to get to the top of the Grand tier, in either. My complaint is, once there, at the moment in Spades, another player, in this instance nearest in points, “Trunks” is 40 points behind me. Suddenly, in a few minutes, is back equal with me, who took several hours to pass “Trunks”. There is NO WAY in actual playing that could happen. Instantaneous 40 point leap in moments when it takes a human several hours to get 40 points?? Takes the “joy” of my accomplishment out of the game when preprogrammed competitors are given vast point movements that in reality human ones have to temporally work through. I do love Mobilityware games, overall❤️❣️Corrected.

Game Needs Improvements. 1)Partners don’t seem to understand the importance of opponent (who has placed a “NIL” bid) to catch a trick. They always trump it and are so proud while I’ve passed up the opportunity several times in order for the NIL opponent to catch a trick. 2)The winner of the round is obvious after a couple of hands. If you start out with a bad hand, all of them will be and you never catch a break. You get a couple of kings with only one more card in that suit and 7-8 cards in the others. Many times I get the ace of spades and number cards with an occasional Jack. If you get a hand that allows you to go nil, you’ll catch a trick with a low number card like the 5 of hearts. Just saw one where it happened with the 3 of clubs—- they were getting nothing but bad hands. 3)I keep getting the (almost) exact same hand 2-3 times in a row. That’s frustrating. 4)The endless ads are annoying and some go on and on forever. This is the best spades game by far and I’d be willing to buy it so I wouldn’t see the ads but if some improvements aren’t made I’ll just find another game.

Not skill, just rigged. If you win in this game it isn’t because you’re talented. I won A LOT…but then it is frowned upon to progress over the person ahead of you in the line of succession. I was leap frogging over everyone. Went from Novice to Grand Master in one month. Then I started getting fantastically lousy cards on EVERY hand. As an example to prove to myself it wasn’t just my imagination when my partner bid NIL I decided I would also. We both achieved NIL and received 200 points! I took a screenshot so I have evidence. If this game were compared to playing poker in the Wild West the dealer (app) would have cards up their sleeves, in their boots, under their collars AND would also be marking the deck.

Love this game, but…. The app is great and the interface is really good. Better than other spades games I have tried. However, I started noticing my partner throwing hands and at times the opponents are being dealt nil hands on nearly every deal. Seems kinda fishy. I made it well past level 1,000 but when I end up playing against three opponents instead of two, I deleted the app. Thought of giving it a second chance, but upon reinstalling, all my previous game data is gone. Was good while it lasted. Pay attention to how your partner plays though. They should be playing to win, not throwing hands.

Need Smarter Bots. This game has a lot of potential, and for the most part is well done. Gameplay is smooth, ads are fairly unintrusive, bots GENERALLY make good decisions. There is a very large weakness to the bot programming, however. They do not respond appropriately when NIL is called and their overall goal is still to take every trick rather than stick the opposing NIL player with a trick. There have been countless times when the bot could just throw off suit to break NIL, but instead they trump the trick and take it. Gameplay would be vastly improved if the programming could be altered to allow for this. I want to give this game five stars, but cannot go above three until this glaring programming weakness is corrected.

Computer cheats at Platinum level. This app was fun at the beginning. Once I reached Platinum level the computer begins to cheat. I can give 2 examples. Up until this level, your computer partner didn’t hurt your chances. However, at this level, the computer partner routinely over bids causing you to lose rounds and ultimately the game. Also, at the Platinum level, the computer team that you are playing against routinely leads off with a queen when you have a king and the other computer team partner they have has the ace. So, in normal cards, the king could typically take the second round but, with the cheating they do, they play the queen, so if you play the king, then the other player takes the ace and they win that round and you don’t have your king. If you let it pass you by then the other computer player won’t play their ace, the computer wins the round with the queen, then they win the next round with the Ace, making your king of no value. This happens regularly letting you know they are cheating because in spades you don’t know what your partner has but the computer, controlling all three of the other players, clearly begins to manipulate the card play at the platinum level. i’m so glad I didn’t pay the $10 to go add free for six months. I was holding off to see if the game would begin cheating and, now that it does, I’m deleting the app after writing this review.

Missing things. I like this one the best and play it a ton BUT you should be able to have usernames visible to people so that way you know if you’ve had that partner before so you can know a little bit better about their playstyle as well a skill based matchmaking. Also I’ve seen people bid 13 even though they have nothing just to throw the game cause they got angry and that’s not fun and it’s not fair to their partner so if our names were available I could know if I play with or against that person and just quit if they are going to throw the game. And I’ve had partners that on the first hand I’ll lay an ace and they cut it for no reason. Maybe even a report system for people like that.

Spades Mobilityware. I have played this spades game a long time. I did like it now not so much. Now the opponents get the wins. I have played 5 games in a row lost all 5. The opponents get 100 game hands right when they need it. I just played and was up the third hand by less than 30 I need the opponents would get a 100 hand and no surprise to me they did. The longer you play this game this is what happens. It is a shame it was fun but I guess I will delete it it just is ridiculous how every hand just about the opponents get 100 hands as they need to. I also agree with review on hearts. You can count on as you play a long time your first hand will be getting the Queen. Mobilityware was my favorite now not so.

A total joke at the highest level. I played my way up to the highest levels of this game..Hours spent having a great time..When I got to the highest level I played for 5hrs. And won 1 game..1 game..I’d tie the opponents at the half way point in some games but that’s as far as it got..I’m also shocked at the times my partner and I can catch someone going nil and my partner spades them and then turns right around throws a lower trump card that would’ve set them. Just extremely disappointed in this game as it progressed..wiped it off my computer and won’t play again

Fun game.. At first. When I first played this game it was a lot of fun, your partner worked with you. As you climb up the tiers it gets increasingly harder since your partner is dumb and self sabotages themselves. They bid higher than the amount they should, go nil when they have high cards. While the other team works so well. I don’t know if it was the luck of the cards but it’s still ridiculous that the other team went nil four times during one round. I’d rate this game higher if it wasn’t for your teams AI. Otherwise it’s a fun addicting game that looks and feels smooth, and the ads aren’t as annoying as other ads.

Lyn. Hi. I’ve played this app for several weeks now, made it to the final series, got three from top and can’t seem to get past that. Loose more than I win thanks to my avatar partner, regardless of who it is. It’s like the partners get careless with bids, plays etc. they always trump over my spades especially if I’ve already taken the trick. This quite often causes us to lose because my partner then is out of trump cards and could have made the difference if they hadn’t played over my trump. I left this app due to frustration but have not found a better set up so I’m back. Hope you will take what I and others have given as constructive criticism and make some positive changes. Thanks!

Terrible AI. I have a similar issue to many others here. The AI is just horrible - especially my “partner”. I think I will look for another Spades game to play. Haven’t had this one for long, but to even have a chance at winning, you have to turn on “Bid Suggestions” - which is odd because 99% of the time, the suggested bid is the same that I would have put anyway, and even if I adjust it, I still have a better chance at winning the round than if I turn off the setting. This is with “Hard Mode” turned off. As others have stated, my AI partner is (for all intents and purposes) an idiot. If you know you can’t win the trick, you play your lowest card. When an opponent goes “Nill”, you play your lowest card to force them to take it. Nope. My opponent plays the highest card it has … nearly every single time.

Having another go. Very frustrating . I really enjoyed this game in the beginning but as you progress it’s hard to win too many games when it’s obvious your partner is a computer designed not to let you win too many . It’s such a shame as it gets so frustrating especially when further in to a game your partner throws out cards that you know should’ve been played earlier . And the adds go twice as long as other games for some reason it’s like common I know we have adds but do your 5 seconds and start next round not then after the x comes up you get another 5 seconds of the same add

Ad goes for too long. The ad with the king just goes on and on etc etc....takes about 5 goes to exit - seems like a loop. Deleted it and downloaded again but same annoyance. Seems others had same issue with different ads.

Waaaaayyyyy too many ads. The only way I play this game now is offline due to the number of ads...you get one even before you start a game! In addition the goals mean nothing, the levels mean nothing and the competitive games aren’t even against other real players.

Bag. I love playing this game, it’s amazing. Sadly, we play against ‘bots’ and when partnering a bot a lot of the time it doesn’t make the right decision or the obvious card to win the trick. THE SCORING IS FLAWED. Three of the four players in each game are penalised. Which means that, over a long period of time, every player’s coins will start to dwindle. In every game played three of the four players lose coins. The player who comes second loses a small number of coins. But, where it really hurts is when a player comes second or third. The players that come third or fourth loses a multiple of their initial outlay based on the points difference to the winning player. This is a completely unfair system. I believe the second player should get their initial investment returned. The third player should lose a multiple of their initial outlay based on the points difference to the SECOND player. I also believe that it is fair enough that the fourth player should lose a multiple of their initial outlay based on the points difference to the first player. Another improvement would be to stop things flashing over the table during games. To me this would improve the appeal of the game and all players would benefit.

Solitaire. This is such a fun game to play when bored and you can teach family members new and fun ways to play cards. It’s a great game and I definitely recommend it.

Keeps crashing after a few rounds. Every 3 games it just keeps glitching, esp in between games when an ad comes on, it just pitch black and doesn’t play at all. Doesn’t even tell me to press play cos sometimes it does when ur watching an ad. But yeah other than that it’s a fun game 😂

Simple and Good. I only downloaded the app a few days ago, and I really enjoy it. Eventho you can’t play it with other real people, it’s still fun. My only problem is that I didn’t see an option for deleting ads.

Too many ads. I love the game but the higher the level you just can’t win. Opposition team goes nil 95% of the time. You say it’s a random shuffle but the opposition team goes nil before they have any cards so definitely manipulated. You get a decent hand once in a hundred deals. I’ve lost count of the times I just forfeit because of the lousy deal I get.

AI players are stupid. You love this spades version but the partner player always plays against the best interests of the game in competitive mode. It doesn’t recognize play to stop the other team achieving Nil score or play to stop the other team achieving their goal score. Instead it tries to beat my cards as their partner and this is incredibly frustrating. I just wish that the game had a bit more sophistication in its algorithm when playing in competition mode. I like the tactical side of the game but it is a partnership game and I hate that my AI partner is always playing against me. It spoils the strategic aspect of play.

Annoying ads. Pretty good game but the number of ads is soooo annoying, particularly the ones that over-ride my music and I have to go back into my music to click play after where I click the mute button on the ads.

Don’t expect any meaningful changes.. Discover your inner masochist! Almost always dealt cards are painfully biased (despite claims of innocence in that regard). (A post game option showing actual hands dealt would be very revealing). Unfortunately it’s among the best in terms of “playability”….so stuck with the pain. There is absolutely no advantage in reaching the top level, “Grandmaster” is if anything more painful than entry level… nothing really changes….the ratings and levels seem utterly pointless. (Played in excess of 5000 games). My preference is to play through the early levels, then delete the app completely and start again.

Great game.. Favourite game at the moment, I play others but keep coming back to this one.

Rigged. First off, way too many ads. I feel like I spend more time watching ads than playing the game. Half the time the game feels rigged with your two computer opponents having the luxury of being able to know exactly what cards you have because they are software are not real opponents. Essentially they can count cards better than most humans and can know exactly what everyone is holding. Your partner is also just software and half the time makes obvious mistakes with playing low cards when they have something better in their hand, especially when you’re going nill. I’ve also noticed a slight error when I lead with a spade and the computer opponents play a non-spade card only to play a spade the next turn. They can’t avoid matching the lead card but a somehow manage to do it enough times it’s noticeable. Because of all these issues my win rate is only 50% which is significantly lower than it is in non-rigged games and against human opponents.

Spades. Only has a few ADS that trap you - meaning you actually have to close down the entire IPad to get out of the AD and App. A shame really

Card Shark. Have been playing Spades for years. Your graphics are nice, movement is good, funny comments are great. However, there is a “PLAY” issue. The way you have your “PARTNER BOTS” programmed for playing the game is wrong. You and your partner are playing as a team against the other 2 players who are a team also. The problem is that every time I have the lead and play a high card my partner bot either plays a higher card, or trumps me. This is incorrect play. Especially on the first round. You and your partner bot are playing as a “TEAM” to take the most tricks possible, not to take each others play. A team player always gives his partner a chance to take the trick depending on the card lead. This so each player on a team can get the most tricks his hand is able to. This is called TEAMWORK, 2 people on a team PLAYING TOGETHER. The way you have your BOTS programmed is for a Spades game of SINGLE PLAYERS. Please correct this or put out 2 versions of the game. Thank you ever so much.

Not as fun anymore. I would have given a full 5 stars as I have enjoyed this game for several years... but the introduction of the "Special Opponent" has made me reconsider that. Whenever I see that I'm playing against this opponent I know it's likely going to be a waste of my time as a high percentage of the time the favouritism of cards dealt to them is so obvious. Playing a game against the Special Opponent is almost a sure loss and a waste of time I could have spent on a match I had a fair chance to win. Took the fun out of playing 🙁

Ad nightmare - I’d rather pay to play. More ad time than playtime. It’s an annoying 6 clicks to get back to a hand. Ads are all gaming ads and so annoyingly irrelevant. I’d rather be locked in a room with blaring metal music than forced to watch gaming ads over again.

Frustrating. The app plays the game ok but there are a few things that are very frustrating. The ads!! After each round there is an ad. They say you can fast forward these after 5 seconds, which you can. What they don’t say is that this just jumps to another place you need to click on “done” or “X” then to another place. Some of these ads you need to “X” 4 times. Total average ad time is 13 seconds (yes I timed them)This might not seem like much but when you have to pay attention so you can keep pushing “X” it is very annoying and the fee they charge you for no ads is ridiculous. It is not a one time fee but an ongoing charge. Another thing I dislike about the app is when you play the special characters the deck is stacked against you. I have never seen so many rounds where a team plays “nil”.

Needs fixing. This game was a lot of fun initially, but has become very frustrating. Some key things to point out: 1) the system blocks me from playing a higher spade than the system most of the time, but doesn’t block me when I have a lower spade than the system. 2) the number of Nil 100+ point chances favour the system at about a ration of 4:1. I’ve had games where the system gets 4 chances in 1 game and wins them all. Almost impossible to beat the system’s Nil bid when they are the 4th player. 3) the system more often than not blocks by suit when I have a higher card in a different suit, but opens up all suits when I don’t. Change those things and it’s a 5 star rating. FYI, my win rate keeps dropping the more I play- down from 64% to 58% so far.

Game is fun but ads are brutal.. There’s an ad after each round. It’s so frustrating. It makes you not want to continue playing, which is unfortunate cause the game is actually good.

Need to fix playing speed. I love this game but the developer needs to fix the freezing of up to 1.8 min. after playing each of your bids. And its not Ads causing this in my situation. Very frustrating.

Multiplayer doesn’t work anymore. I was able to play but once I had to end the game misplay. I just closed my phone. Since this happened I’m unable to play. Get a “session ended” window. I have deleted and reinstalled twice and no go. Fix your game !!!

Spades. I have reached a high level however the game is so frustrating as my hands are 80% horrible. The other teams always have amazing hands it seems and bid high. I am usually one or two bid. They say it’s in all the cards and in this case it certainly is. Not to mention the ads are enough to drive me crazy. Misleading, false advertising. I am deleting the app because of false advertising. I wanted to play multiplayer as I read in the app description, but when I downloaded the app, it says there is no such option to play with real people! Misleading!

Most engaging and enjoyable. This is the most engaging and enjoyable spades game I have played. The partner and opponent algorithms are mostly realistic. I would like to see the partner be a bit more aggressive when trying to bust the opponent’s nil. As another reviewer mentioned it would be nice to see some of the more common regional game options such as low club, blind nil, 10 for 200, and such. I would also like to have an option to allow a completed trick to stay on the screen until removed.

System cheats a lot. I read a lot of players explain the game cheats, I also have experienced the same cheating when the dummy opponent go nil the entire game and computer partner allow them to successfully get nils not trying to stop. However I can deal with that the cheating I notice is the score and cards that was used being play again. I’m over 60 years old and been playing spades since I was 10 years of age. I know how to count the cards and my memory is great. Another cheat when you when and receive you 10 points not going the entire 10 moves on score. Also I won two different games and my level didn’t change.

Too many ads. Fake reviews. Ads after every round. Click anywhere on or around the X to close it and it will inevitably pop up the ad store bc they make the button so small you can’t close it . Then, watch more videos of other games you can play made by this company that have the same amount of ads after every turn . Or, you can pay them 5$ a month to not see the ads. Haha . Who would do that ? Oh , and the majority of these reviews are paid for . Just look at the frequent use of the same words . well done mobile games that you could pay once for are so rare . Ahead of the rest. After uninstalling Spades from other game companies,I have kept this one from MobilityWare because the bots do pretty well compared to other Spades games out there. Their bots even do pretty well with Nil bids which I find is often the weak spot with Spades against bots. They are not perfect, but their support team does respond to feedback with a level of interest that left me with confidence that they would attempt to make adjustments where needed. A shout out to MobilityWare.

All Bots. I read a review that raved about the game and how the ads were short and do it was worth downloading. Don’t buy it. It’s between every hand and in between all the levels and they are the type that you have to click on the X over and over again to get back to the game. Then all the players, even your partner are Bots. As you get higher in the ranks the Hans you’re dealt are crap and there is no way you can win. And I’m a pretty decent spades player. Get a game where you can play with real people because this game is so rigged! (Nick name I tried to use, cuz you have to, has been used already - bot hater! Seems I’m not the only one!)

Really like the game but…keeps crashing. This game is fun, nice graphics and like the ability to adjust settings BUT it won’t open! I’ve had Spades for a couple years and a few months ago wouldn’t open. I deleted and reinstalled to have it work for about a month and now once again it will not open. What’s up? Thank you! Update: I received a reply but didn’t know where to respond to your reply. Also, I again deleted spades game and reloaded and it still won’t open

Did enjoy. I did enjoy playing thought is was one of the best spades games made until you see that they cheat. I don’t like the fact when you can take the lead from some one that you are behind they put you both on the same team to prevent you taking the lead. I don’t like how the team the players up. Not only that if you able to take the lead from someone or is leading someone they put you on the team with that person and they make you lose the game purposely. Game starting to be unfair have to find me a new spades game now.

Great game but ads hang. I have very much enjoyed playing the game. However, due to having watch ads between each hand sometimes the ad doesn’t have a way to close it, and you are forced to close the entire app and restart. There is a paid option but for me it’s a little too expensive. I’ve also had ads from some vendors that automatically take you to their website instead of giving you the option to opt out even if the pop-up says cancel. I understand that ads are needed to keep games free, but the interaction needs to be better.

Taught me how to play Spades. I downloaded this app two days ago, and holy moly— I’m so addicted now that I’ve already made it to the Gold III tier… 😅😭 I love a lot of things about this app: For one, the names of the animal competitors are absolutely adorable—I mean, you’ve got Wooly the sheep, Gobbles the turkey, Waddles the duck, Scooter the snail, Pinky the flamingo, Vladimir the bat, Cobalt the wolf, Skylar the bird… freaking iconic. The other thing I love is the animations at the end of each game— I bet those took forever to make, but they’re awesome, and they even cheer me up when I know I just lost the game… I’ve seen each of them like three times in the past two days (gosh I have too much time on my hands 😭), but they still haven’t gotten old. My only complaint is the app freezes up quite often to the point where once it’s been frozen for like five seconds, the only solution is to exit out of it mid-game.

Seems stacked against single player. I’ve played this version of spades for a couple of years, and for a while I really enjoyed it. However, recently it seems like the dealing has been stacked against the live player versus the bots. Repeatedly, the other team seems to get hands that allow them to go nil when they’re way behind resulting in my team losing the game. I wouldn’t mind this if it seemed random, but my experience has been that it is programmed into the app. It’s a shame, because otherwise it’s a fun app.

Need to fix. I pay for the premium app so no commercials etc. I agree with the review above me… great interface. Easy to play. However, the opposing team as you get further in the game literally bids NIL every other hands and often several times in a row. So this isn’t a true random card deal. It was great the first couple levels. But as I get farther along I’m now looking for a new app to play spades because this one is loosing my interest. It wouldn’t be so bad if you could pick the rule options for instance “ no NIL” like any other spades game but it wont

My favorite Spades App. I really love the this game, and even though there are ads they are usually brief. Today there’s a new fitness game ad that causes my phone to freeze and not go back into the game without waiting several minutes or restarting my device. I have been playing the game for a while and this is only my second experience with an ad crashing the game. Please look into this. Thanks!

Garbage AI-Terrible teammates. Their algorithms need to be fixed. My opponents have gone nil 57 times in 246 rounds. My partner, once. So each of the opponents goes nil 28.5 times as often as my partner. Instead of nil, my partner bids 1 when it should bid nil and does not make his bid about 50% of the time. Makes bidding difficult since you have to assume your partner won’t make their bid. Also difficult when the other team is piling up points bidding nil. Finally, it’s head scratching what cards my partner plays. For example, my partner is the last to play a round, has a 2 and ace of spades. The 2 of spades wins the round so my partner invariably will play the ace of spades and then lose the next round since he’s only got the 2 of spades left.

Spades my best friend❤️. The Spade’s Game is truly a savior for me!!! At 67 l live alone and was the oldest of seven and had a Mother and Father that l lived with!!! From there l became a stay at home Mom with my son while dad went too work!!! Then became a single Mom along with my Son and raised 5 Children that were not mine and worked as a full time school bus driver!!! With all that behind me Spade’s is my best passtime that help’s me get through the day’s and night’s of nothing too do!!!

Disappointed. I have been playing this game for close on 3 years now. I sad to say I’m going to quit because of the adds. I’m sorry but watching full length adds after every hand is not something that I think the game is worth playing for. Return the adds to the way it was before the recent update. I did have it a four stars, now it’s only a two.

This game cheats. The interface is clean and efficient. Game play is fast and with out lag. However don't expect to win many games, the game engine won't allow it. Your opponent will always have a better hand, always. All you have to do is count the number of trump (spades) cards the opposing team gets. Your opponent will typically get a minimum of seven trump cards and usually all the face cards. On average it's more like nine to ten spades. You just can't win. Even if you don't get set the numbers will never be in your favor. About the only way to get an advantage is to bid nil. To bad. Not a bad game just don't expect to win much.

Game computer almost always wins. Great game, fix a few bugs. After playing for months on end the game is almost predictable. Your “partner” is just about useless I understand it’s a computer but your just about on your own. In competitive mode I understand it’s supposed to be hard but after playing I figured out the computer almost always knows what cards you have especially if you bid nil so you lose that round. Kinda annoying but after playing for months on end with almost no progress in the game almost given up. Tried to give it a shot but good fundamentals hence the two stars

Opponents. When I started, this was a fun game, great form. Then I moved up, and I'm at Master 1. . My opponents are better, but my partner is not. My opponents go nil on a seven bid while my pard s chunking out aces and kings and he'll hold the ace of spades till the end. He doesn't go nil, can't set a nil he can barely cover a nil. It's like the algorithm knows that so they keep going nil. They go nil whenever I do and my partner won't play the same with them. Dang, it's frustrating. Please fix it. How do I play with friends?

Rigged. I loved this game at first. As you move up levels, though your partner bot becomes useless. Can’t make good plays when a nil player on the other team is about to go set. Can’t ever get their bid whenever I go nil. Won’t break spades when they are out of a certain suit and can win the trick. One game, the other team was able to go nil nearly every single hand, while my partner and I didn’t have a nil hand once. I would have a perfect nil hand and the ace of spades. It’s not fun anymore because it is so obviously rigged. I’m going to look for another spades game.

Not my favorite. I have a few issues with this version. First, the avatar partners will step on their own partner’s plays, sometimes causing a game to be lost. It also seems when I play against the challenging avatar it seems whenever I have a good lead, suddenly my partner no longer can bid correctly and we either get bagged or it loses a nil often enough to set us behind and lose. Also, when playing live, the game only goes to 150 points, which makes for a very short game. I’m not renewing.

Mid. It’s okay but the bot they set up as your partner is terrible. It'll cut you in a book your about to win with a spade, never really met their bids, and if it bids nil it’ll purposefully get a book with a spade. I keep track of cards so I know what has been played and everything but the bot doesn’t really care. I understand that it is a bot, but it’s programmed terribly. The other team is set up to pay how the bot should be playing so it’s rare that you’ll beat them because the bot as your partner is terrible. I’d be better playing solo spades.

Terrible game!. This game in the beginning seems to be legit. After a few games of give and take things slowly begin to change. The computer gets hand after hand of nils. Your partner and you get nothing that match and nil hands, with the ace of spades. You get hands that are 4 bids… you barely make… or don’t. Meanwhile the computer opponents bid out of each other’s hands and you are dealt nothing to stop them. In the beginning you win some, you lose some. Then it goes to they win most, you don’t win much. Soon it’s you lose most you hardly win any.

Addictive game easily learned. I never played Spades in my life until I downloaded this engrossing card game. I can’t put it down! The tutorial taught me to play and I love it. Of course there are ads but not the lengthy kind that some games won’t let you exit. My online buddy seems so real as he makes various comments throughout the game. I feel like we are a good team, although he is just computer generated.

Dammit listen to us!!. This is still the best Spades game offered on the App Store, but I have deleted and re-downloaded this game so many times because at a certain level, you cannot win. I’ve even gotten to where I know when it’s going to be time to delete and download. No, I am not expecting to win every single time, but I’m also not expecting to lose every single time. At one point, your partner becomes a complete and total idiot and over bids and I don’t mean slightly over bids, I mean over bids to a point where you lose horribly.

Predictable. I play this a lot but it’s very predictable. If the other team gets ahead too much they miraculously start to overbid and lose hands so the score is more even. Theres also many games where the other team gets all the good cards every hand. One thing I can’t stand is the ads after every single hand. Is that really necessary? Maybe after every 3-4 hands would be fine, but it’s annoying to have them so often.

Not skill, just rigged. If you win in this game it isn’t because you’re talented. I won A LOT…but then it is frowned upon to progress over the person ahead of you in the line of succession. I was leap frogging over everyone. Went from Novice to Grand Master in one month. Then I started getting fantastically lousy cards on EVERY hand. As an example to prove to myself it wasn’t just my imagination when my partner bid NIL I decided I would also. We both achieved NIL and received 200 points! I took a screenshot so I have evidence. If this game were compared to playing poker in the Wild West the dealer (app) would have cards up their sleeves, in their boots, under their collars AND would also be marking the deck.

This game can be better if……. First off this game had me hooked until the pop up ads I didn’t really mind at first, but now my game freezes and I have to close the app and start it over. The first time I didn’t mind but the 4th time it a problem. I’m just trying to play spades but the ads makes it kind of hard to focus because now I’m downloading the other games and not going back to the spades game I was just playing. I’m conflicted it either I play spades or the other games you advertise so much.

Good game. I like this app it’s fun and it’s very similar to actually playing spades with other players. The only change I would make is this: when you play with other people you talk to your partner about your team bid. If he has “2 maybe 3” and you have 3 maybe 4” you can bid from 5 to 7 depending on the strength of your “maybes”. Bidding as a team instead of one at a time would be more satisfying and save on sandbags.

Almost perfect, with two issues that nag at me. I love this spades app and prefer it over any of the others. That said, two issues tug at me that I wish could be resolved. One, there is no bag counter for players to keep track if they have enabled the bag-penalty feature. The warnings are nice, but a counter in the corner of the player and opponents bags would help with strategy. Two, my teammate bot drives me NUTS and almost always cuts with a spade right after I’ve busted an opponents nil bid. Like almost every time. If these two items were addressed I believe I’d never download another spade app again.

Same plays, lame opponents. loved this game at first until I realized that they were using the same exact hands over and over again, and the results would be the same in each hand. Every king, I laid the opponent to the left the ace. it’s AI. It becomes frustrating because it’s not really a skill. It’s a computer making all the decisions. It’s unfortunate because I like the game until I figured out that the guy with the frying pan in the sizzling egg really? Lame.

Good, but not great. I play on the high difficulty level. My partner consistently under bids. I have to over bid to compensate or we take too many sandbags & end up with the 100 point penalty. Over bidding ruins my stats. Also, my partner doesn’t know how to set an opponent’s NIL bid. The opponent who had bid NIL played third that trick and played the highest card & should have been set, but my partner trumped the trick! He then went on to catch two sandbags by the time the round was over. He should have played off to set the opponent’s NIL and only caught 1 sandbag. He wasn’t left with nothing but Spades so it was possible to play off.

False advertisement. It says play with friends and yet there is no function to play with friends, only with random players. Added to note that I agree with a lot of the other reviews that once you reach a certain level the ai starts to cheat or not play to win at all. I’ve had several games where we bid 6 or 7, with me having the most books and my partner with 1 or 2. The problem lies when say they have no clubs and everyone else has played and the opposite team has the highest card, they never trump it just let it skirt by. So when it’s time for them to get their books they can’t because they have low numbered spades. It’s infuriating, especially when they do three times in a row.

Frozen ads. I enjoy playing spades but my ads are always freezing. The ad will play most of the way through but when it’s time to exit out it will freeze so I have to exit out of the game and pull it back up . Because of this I don’t always get my rematch. If I’m sitting through the ad I want my rematch I’m not watching it for nothing . I’ve noticed the higher I moved up the more I lose. It seems like I’m paired with a bot that’s not getting all their bets . The bot team is always getting better cards. So I’m always wanting to just forfeit. I may stop playing soon because of this . It’s starting to get more frustrating than fun .

Lazy couch surfing Influencer ads. If those influencer ads where these lazy young adults sit on their couch all day trying to convince other young adults that they “earn” “free” money by playing Solitaire Cash are effective that that tells you all you need to know about our younger generations. I feel brain dead just watching them. I want to go ad free but reviews make it sound like you just play against AI BOTS. I like playing against feel people with all of there faults. Beat it Bots!!

Good game, poor AI. So, not a bad representation of the game of spades over all. I wish there was a blind Nil setting.. if there is, it is not easily accessible. My biggest and really only issue with this particular iteration of Spades is, when you put the game on hard mode. It states the competition gets tougher, but that is not the case. When you get in hard mode your partner gets exponentially worse at the game. I’ve seen 4 and 5 year olds that just learned the game, play more competently than this games AI partner.

Does multiplayer really involve other humans?. I ask because the vast majority of my hands are roughly the same. I have just enough high cards so that I can’t go nil, and am stuck bidding 1 a lot. Or I’ll have Ace in a couple of suits and then the Q of Spades singleton. It’s rare for me to get a really good hand, and in 66 multiplayer games I think I’ve had AKQ of spades ONCE. I’m no math major but a preponderance of hands like this makes me feel like it’s not at all random, and that I’m playing against bots in multiplayer mode. Overall a great game but it does seem tilted against me.

Full of spam and spyware. These card games are no longer providing a split second ad to sustain themselves, they are televising 15 second to 1 minute long ads at us. The ad goes on and on and on and on, you can’t simply close it after a few seconds. You’re forced to watch insane amounts of ads so you’re being used for attention slavery, not playing a relaxing game anymore. This is beyond abuse. Uninstall and never look back. Absolutely offensive. The ads collect your information also and provide false buttons to close or bypass them, to force you to click so they can collect your information which is a form of spyware.

Fun game, but oh the ads. This game is super fun. I love spades and this one flows pretty well. I understand the devs are trying to make money. And selling ads or the ad free version does that for them. But there is an ad after every hand, and that ad had to be X’ed out between 2-4 times to get it to go away. That is way too much. If they either give you 2-3 hands before an ad pops up or make it a single click to dismiss them I would change this to 5 stars. I’m willing to deal with ads to be able to play for free, but this one has taken it too far with the amount and effort to skip.

Top Twenty. I love the game but once you get into the top 20, you’re basically done. You can have a really big lead over the others players and then they just somehow gain enough to put you back to 4th or 5th place. How do they manage to get that many points in a few hours. Plus, I’ve been getting horrible hands and you’re “so called partner” will actually play against you. I realize I will have to continue to play to keep the lead but don’t keep taking it away from. Good game. It’s not great but I could be with 3 tweaks.. There is no incentive for going for 10 books when you only get 100 points for pull this off. It is literally the hardest thing to achieve. Most other spade game rewards you with 200 points for this except this game. It’s way easier to go NIL than it is to get 10 books with your partner and you still only get the same 100 points. Tweak1: Double points for bidding 10 books or more. 10 books = 200, 11 = 220, 12 = 240 & 13 = 260. Tweak2: Offer the option for blind bids worth double the points before revealing hands. Tweak3: Allow for passing/receiving 1 card to/from your partner when bidding NIL. The tweaks above are common rules that are already associated with the game but are sorely lacking on this one.

Algorithms that burn you. I played a lot , I’ve been playing spades for years. And much like card counting for one you can see when cards never and I repeat never come your way. The team your against always has ace, k,q,j10,9 of spades and every other ace, once you get to a good level. So you bid NIL to counteract it. Problem is once you get higher in the levels your “partner” the computer gives you bids 3 on your NIL and never makes the 3 they need. You never catch the other team you get 70 from the NIL and they get 90plus and it happens hand after hand after hand………. Terrible game I wouldn’t beat a dead squirrel with its coding…..

RIGGED. I have loved playing this game for years. However, about eight or nine months ago I noticed that your partner was playing rigged hands not to help you as a partner. If your partner has an ace and other cards in that same suit but refuses to play it until the end it’s rigged to lose. This isn’t any fun anymore. Who is the developer knows exactly what I’m talking about so why not make it more of a fair game?

Opposite team takes books. Glitch!. Hey there just want to take the time to say that this spades classic is a great game application overall. There is one small issue I noticed when I play with bots my teammates hand or books are being stolen ! I believe it to be a small glitch in the game. But regardless I do play it and it is a fantastic way to keep your mind sharp and it brings me back to the old days ! Again sorry for the complaint when I do understand it is free lol

Addicted. I even congratulate my opponents on a good play. And frown if my partner makes dumb mistakes. I probably need a job. But I’m 89 so no one will hire me. So I’ll keep playing. 😊 I would like to see more time to understand what I just played. I would like more control of when the screen changes. my eyesight is failing, so I don’t see things as clearly and fast as they used to. But I do spend a lot of time playing this game. The only real fault I have with the game is the speed at which the. Screen changes.

Not terrible but. So, i have played spades IRL for over 20yrs. My complaints w/ this game are that all of the non-human players CONSTANTLY under bid. It is highly frustrating cause i wanted to play with the sandbag limit on but it didn't change how my partner bid. It is very frustrating. I also hate that once spades has been broken, the computer players start just emptying their hand of spades. IRL the only reason to do that is if you have no other suit. But as the hand continues you quickly find out that the other players have plenty of cards from other suits. The game should mimic a real spades game closer than it does.

Partners During Opponent Going NIl. The maddening thing is when I try to break the opposing team’s attempt to go Nil, my partner in the game never fails to ignore this and works to wind the hand. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED! Especially when my partner has lower cards to play and the player attempting Nil has the highest card in the hand and if my partner would play under his card we could break the Nil run!!! This drives me nuts as a real partner would see this and work to break the Nil.

No ad free experience. I wish half stars were allowed In rating because so far I’ve really enjoyed the game. It runs smoothly and except for one time it hasn’t frozen. That one time was due to the ads. That is the one thing I don’t like about the game—no ad free option! At least that I can find. It is really annoying to watch an ad after each hand…and usually it is the same ad!

What a waste !. I love spades and this would be a good game if it weren’t for the ads that were impossibly NEVERENDING! Most of the advertisements are for other game apps, which is fine. You can either patiently observe these advertisements, generally 30 seconds or so, and exit. But others, in one case, that “string” tangle, instead of being able to patiently observe and wait it out, you are sent into a neverending loop that you are unable to ever exit. Does this make anyone want to purchase the advertised app?? Of course not! This just makes you want quit playing Spades! Fortunately, this isn’t the only game in town! For a good time try an alternative app!

Random? Discouraging. The other team has had outstandingly better hands than our team. They have been able to go nil about 20-30% of the time. I have almost always had spoilers. They have also had one player get 5-6 spades several times. I had one hand like that. It doesn’t appear my partner has had any. Also, the player to my right and left have had different types of hands. My partner and I usually make our bid, but they just have higher bids ~ and very rarely go down. When I was younger, we frequently played spades so it is not a new game to me. This game is getting discouraging since it seems we can never win.

Excellent App. I am really impressed with this app, excellent game play and easy to learn for beginners! I haven’t played this for over 30yrs, brings back memories of childhood for me. I do wish the bots wouldn’t trump my tricks when they’re my partner and would play together to set a nil bet on the opposing team, but other than that it’s been wonderful to play this. I’m actually spending too much time playing this! LOL The ads are minimal and I also love that! Big Smile From Me!
