Crashes Are So Frustrating. This is the second time Word Wiz has crashed on me. An error message -404- came up. I tried closing down my iPad and rebooting but that doesn’t work. The first time this happened I had to delete the app and then reinstall which resulted in the loss of all the progress I had made. I really enjoy this game and play it everyday but I think I will be deleting it - permanently.

It’s a fun game except for the ads. I love word games a lot and really enjoy this game. I do not, however, enjoy seeing ads nearly after every level before getting to the next level. You can, of course, purchase the ad free option which would only last 7 - 14 days, but that’s pretty pricey (over $30 for a month). It’s gotten to the point where I actually dread playing it. Would the developers ever consider giving an option to go ad free for longer? Please? Thank you for your response. It’s not that it’s difficult to close the ads out. It’s extremely irritating having to do so between every single game unless I want to pay over $30 a month.

Changing The Scenery. NOT a fan of the latest change in scenery. I change it to plain green background, stop playing, go back to play and the scenery has defaulted back to busy canyons/mountains. Next, some ads come up full blast volume with no icon to mute. How can I be "working" while playing when it is a dead giveaway that I'm on my phone. Not all ads do this - just saying. I have enough distractions in my life. Please make it stop.

Recent updates. I have been playing this game for years, usually while drinking my morning coffee. I have appreciated the toned down approach and lack of game levels to slog through, and no cartoon characters. It’s just a straightforward game that is sometimes easy, sometimes difficult. But I dislike the recent updates! Hate the red “bad word” signifier! What happened to the bonus word scramble? Why add the big “CONTINUE” button that looks exactly like an ad trap?!?! Yeah! I’m old, but we deserve a decent game too! Why mess with a good thing especially when the changes are not going to draw new players.

Good Game - Horrible Ads. This game WAS great. Until the last day or so and an ad which is about the size of 10% of my screen pops up. Because it’s so small there’s no way to find a close button. But even if you could, this ad (the same one for a cable company) literally pops up so frequently that you cannot possibly finish one puzzle without a minimum of 6 interruptions. And since you can’t find a close button you have to force close the app. Every. Single. Time.

Could be better. The game is fun for a while but the challenge level could be harder, the same word appearing twice in a grid as singular and plural is just lazy and the scoring is a mystery. Is it better to try to solve the grid faster and ignore the bonus words or should you delay solving the grid to get more bonus words? Also the bonus words unscrambled after groups of levels are solved are all obscure. If you want to improve our vocabulary why not include the word’s derivation and status (I.e. obsolete) in addition to the definition?

Quick Developer Response!. Although the game does not recognize some fairly common words that others do, it is arguably the best of its type that I’ve played. Over the 300 level, there was a problem with it crashing for a day or so, but the developers took care of it right away. Clear graphics, no frills. Just a good way to spend time,

Need to have a choice of level to start!. I've been playing this game for years, but had to delete the app when I was having problems with it working after upgrading. I was at a high expert level at that time. Good grief! I now have to start over with a first grader level of "ART, CAT, CAR"??? So I started over again (how terribly boring can you get?), gained a "gift" which I didn't need, but couldn't go on until I claimed it. Didn't want to use it, but it wouldn't let me continue. Come on! Make a game for us educated folk that want to start at a PhD level! Give us a choice. I wish I could go back to where I was before. Very frustrated and disgusted.

Love it, BUT. You have recently changed the background and "force" me to play with that background, despite having chosen one that I prefer much more. The current "mountain" background is incredibly distracting and it has a definite impact on my enjoyment of the game. If this continues, I will probably stop playing...

Fix the bugs!. I like your game but it has become increasingly frustrating when playing the game. About five seconds into a puzzle the small tiny ad pops up, it says the Florida lottery and there’s no way to close it out. So basically the screen is frozen on that you have to completely exit out of the game, Re enter The game and then five seconds later at small annoying ad pops up again and freezes the screen. I have tried deleting the app and then downloading it again and the same thing happens!

LOVE THE GAME- Ads Made Me Stop Playing. This word game is awesome...but—If you find games that force you to watch a constant assortment of ads and videos in between every puzzle, or make you launch the App Store app in order to return you to the game—wait until they release a paid version like they have for their solitaire games. I thought I could just turn on airplane mode, which bypasses all ads, but then I forget to turn it back off and end up missing important texts and phone calls—VERY FRUSTRATING!

Enjoy the game but….. I really enjoy this game, I’ve played past the 5,000 mark and also enjoy the daily challenge puzzle. The reason I submitted only three stars is that in the past several months the advertising has become aggressive in its persistence. What I mean is that certain advertisers make it difficult to tap the “x” without forwarding you to their info site. It’s become so bad that I will totally exit word wiz and restart my game when I see that particular ad. The next issue is that in the past week or so I’m getting a pop up ad on the top of the screen, and even when I close it, it reappears every few minutes. Frustrating since you can’t continue playing until you x that ad!! This last issue may be the one that has me deleting word wiz :(

Word Wiz. I really like this app. Everything was great until Apple did an update. The app started freezing on an ad and I had to turn my Iphone off and then back on to use the app. Y’all did an update on this app on Nov. 6 and the app started working again. Now it is doing the same thing as before. This started about 4 days ago. I can only get 3-4 word puzzles done before it freezes up again.

Great Concept!. I played this game for the first time yesterday. I like to do crossword puzzles. This game is like solving a section of a crossword puzzle, except it requires a different way of visualizing the words. The first level is pretty easy, but it gets much harder as you increase the level of difficulty. It is a fun and relaxing way to stimulate your mind and learn new vocabulary. I especially like the feature that rearranges the letters, which is quite helpful in jogging the brain to think of new word possibilities. Clever new game!

Pop ups. I’m not one to write reviews. I understand that the company receives revenue from ads and patiently wade through the multiple screens between games. However, over the last few weeks, there are pop up ads DURING play that must be X’d out of. These ads go away only to return (same exact ad with play options) mere seconds later. At Christmas, it was a beverage snowman game and now it’s some car maker game. If I wanted to play those games, I’d go find them! But, not on the middle of a descramble letter game where I’m viewing the letters trying to come up with new words. The pop up ad games block the letters and ruin my concentration. Instead of highlighting the advertiser, I’m frustrated and hoping someone in the developer team gets a clue that if people stop playing and delete their game, there will be less revenue generated. Please stop during game play pop up ads…I don’t want to have to continually X out of them to return to the letter list.

Excellent word game with one annoying bug. I love playing this game. It’s challenging but not impossible to solve. Some obvious real English words (that aren’t proper nouns) aren’t recognized and won’t get added as bonus words, but whatever - just move on. There is one annoying bug every time I reach ten punches on the crown card. This little “fire” animation will appear in the middle of the screen but nothing else happens and there’s no way past it. You have to completely close the game and relaunch it to move on. I have a screen shot of it but can’t upload it to this review. For this I gave it -1 star.

Needs opt out for ads. This is a great app but the ads are literally a fun killer. They are after every game and in the middle of actual games if you click away from the game for a text or a call or a break. Would love an option to buy out of all the ads. It turns the game into a real time waster and removes the enjoyment.

Too many ads. The game is absolutely addicting, but there are more ads than game time. It’s not bad when you get free hints to watch an ad, but I just put down the game until the ad is over. But, you have an ad when you open, an ad when you complete a puzzle, an ad after a word definition, an ad between levels, and an ad when you get to a new level. It is really annoying. I got so tired of the ads I just stop playing and go to a different game. Now that I am deeper into the levels the ads are lasting longer and longer. Some of the ads won’t even let you close out of them. They send you to the App Store and then you have to completely close out and go back to the app to start again, but when you do you have to watch another ad. Yuk!

Great game,but crashes!. I have been playing your game for months and I really enjoy it. I had accumulated 200 words and it felt great. Earlier this week the game crashed after playing every ad. If I wanted to continue I had to restart my iPad. This is quite annoying. I reinstalled the game, lost all of the words I had accumulated but that did not work. I closed all other windows and that did not work. Today I noticed that the ads are different. They are smaller and are up in the left corner. Is this part of the problem? Please look into this and see if you can fix the problem. I really want to continue to play this game, however I am spending more time restarting my iPad than playing. Thank you.

Suggestions. I’ve enjoyed playing the game everyday, but I have just a few suggestions/questions. When playing the Daily Puzzle any Bonus Words you get don’t get added to your points (thanks for fixing the game freezing when you earn a crown). The access to more backgrounds when you earn a crown doesn’t mean that much to me. I think it would be nicer to earn either more clues or bullseyes.

Great game, but there’s a new problem!. Hi! I’ve played this for several years now and thoroughly enjoy it! At first I thought I’d get bored as the “new” words it gave us were too simple, and I was quite familiar with them. But as time passed, the vocabulary words became far more complex and some are really obscure, and I began to really enjoy it. That said, a new problem cropped up for the first time this week:::every time I try to play, the game is disrupted by a McDonald’s ad popping up; sometimes 10-12 times during the game, making it extremely hard to play! Any ideas on what I should do?

Predictable but Unpredictable. Played the challenge level from the beginning and at times it is quite challenging. But when certain letter combos show up, it is easy to fill in some of the words because they are consistently repeated. There are other times that many words are created but don’t fit the blocks, so points are added but don’t seem to do anything. Viewing ads for clues is part of the game and not a problem, but the new “feature” of throwing up an ad just as a game is won is overly obtrusive. The latest update (either from the game or Apple) requires two tries to start a game — it opens and almost immediately closes, which requires another tap to open it again.

Ad free version?. I enjoy playing the game but the ads that appear between every single round are very annoying and often last much longer than a round of the game itself. Sometimes they go on endlessly in a loop back and forth to the AppStore with no X in the corner or a Close button to exit and I have to close the game altogether to make the ad stop, then, reopen to start over again.

Puzzle themes needed. Puzzle themes would add a new dimension and certainly add some depth to the problem solving. Also the ads crash the program and the sound keeps turning itself on. Played the game a lot and started accumulating points, to only to find that the game resets the score before you can reach the point where you can collect the next level of benefits even if you play it daily. The more we play the game the more frustrating it becomes. I will probably delete it.

Love it but…. I really love your game but really wish there was a way to turn off the ads without buying something every 7-14 days. I’d gladly pay a monthly or annual fee to turn off the annoying ads if you would make that an option - please! Then your game would be perfect! Regardless, I do really enjoy playing and challenging my mind. It’s great fun and easy to use.

Ads are loud even when phone silenced. As much as I love playing this game and enjoy challenging my brain, I HATE that the ads have loud sound even when my phone is on silent. I have found that I can’t play this in bed while my husband is sleeping as there’s no predicting when an ad pops up that doesn’t have a sound icon to turn off. It just scared my husband half to death from a sound sleep! Please - allow the ads to be silenced from the beginning - not having to look for the sound icon or worse, having some ads with no option to turn off sound.

Word wiz. I love playing Word Wiz. One of my main complaints is that a game freezes up and I can’t shuffle the letters nor request a help with a letter there is no videos to watch to get a letter reward. Another complaint is I purchased five letters and for $.99 and I did not get them. I just purchase some hints.....l27 light bulbs and 18 circles for 4.99 and did not receive them. Could you help me. I still love word wiz. I am getting better at discovering the words

Now THIS is nice!. I have played many, many word games; enough that I didn’t even want to look at this one...I was bored with them. BUT😀, I need to tell ya’ll that this is a word game that feels like you are sitting in a plush parlor, with thick cushioned chairs, (NO SMOKING), a butler serving iced tea, quiet conversations, soft gentle music....quite clinking of China tea cups....got it? There are no surprises...it’s something of a slow start for word-smiths, but it got interesting really fast. Lots of nice incentives to play, puzzles in puzzles. A cozy game...😀🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

Disruptive Pop-Up Ads. After years of playing I’m abandoning this game. All of a sudden ads are popping up incessantly in the middle of playing a game. This happens about every 20 seconds. I’m able to quickly close it, but the frequency takes the fun out of playing. I’ll check back in a week or so to see if it was a problem they were able to fix. Otherwise, goodbye!

Thank you. Thank you for not making me feel I was not smart enough to play this game. I have had other word games but I’ve had to delete them because they either wanted me to buy coins so I could get hints or made it so difficult I couldn’t play. I would eventually have to delete the app because it became too frustrating and too difficult to do.I especially like that you allow individuals to see ads in order to get hints so they can continue playing.I have several mobilityWare games and I’ve enjoyed them all. I live in an assisted living facility and with the pandemic there’s not much to do except watch television and play games on devices. Thank you so much for all your wonderful games.

Good intention game. The game has good intentions but still has a few bugs. I have tried to play it several times and each time I have had to go over the letters 4 to 6 times before it would even accept the fact that I was spelling the word cat leading me to believe that it didn’t want me to play it. It would much rather have me play some other game.

Used daily for years until the recent changes. I was very happy using this app several times per day for years. With recent changes, you do not get credit (a crown) after completing a puzzle without waiting for a full minute for an ad. If you don’t wait a full minute you don’t get credit. I have such an issue with this. I don’t like being forced to wait on apps to complete full minute ads. As a formerly happy customer, I will most probably quit using this app. I will find another app that is less intrusive.

Was Great. Until recently this game had been great but now trying to get a clue rarely works. Always getting the message that an ad is not available. If you are really stuck you have no choice but to stop playing. Also, the backgrounds have gotten too distracting. If you try to pick a different background it changes back to their heavily pictured backgrounds again.

One ad has me wanting to delete game. I love this game but there is an ad that’s called three and this ad plays 98 percent of the time after a game. I wouldn’t have a problem with this ad if I was able to watch for a few seconds and continue playing my game after but every time this ad plays I have to close the game and restart because it stays on the screen until I click on one of their options. I’ve had enough of this and I will delete this game just because of this very very annoying ad!!!!!!!!!

A bit sad. There are a large number of words that this game refuses to note as actual words because they are not in common use. As a scientist I utilize a wide range of terms that would fit within the parameters of this game but the game refuses to even acknowledge that it is a word much less one that fits the parameters of the squares. I am also becoming a bit annoyed with having to listen to an add every time I start the game much less every time I get a new puzzle, and it is becoming very irritating that they hide the X button on the ad screen inside of a similarly colored box or behind a word or picture in the ad forcing you to look for it rather than playing the game.

Word Wiz problem. I really like this game, I play it often but I am a little frustrated now because I can no longer access it anymore on my iPhone 6X that I mostly played it on until yesterday but the app won’t open on that phone for the past 2 days anymore so I can only play it on this iPhone SE I just bought in June. And I can’t figure out why it won’t open at all on that phone I use most often anymore!

Finally a word game with dignity. Like other reviewers, I’ve played a lot of similar formatted word games, but Mobilityware gets it right, at least for my ‘older’ tastes. I don’t have to endure 100 tedious, repetitive, elementary levels before being challenged. I went to the challenge level and not once have I wondered what weird ‘English’ dictionary the developer was using to come up with words. Mobilityware does their card games right. And this word game follows their same respect for your intelligence. If you don’t like the sounds/ music, turn them off and play your own. Don’t like ads? Ah, well, we can’t always get what we want. Do the same as ads on tv, get up and walk around. Besides, some of my ads are local, which occasional have been helpful. I deleted all my other word games. Thanks Mobilityware!

Look forward to this game. I start my day with the daily puzzle and then move on to the challenge puzzle. So far, in the 400 puzzles that I have done, they are unique. You have to watch out in accidentally touching either help button. I have hit these unintentionally 2/3 of the time as they are adjacent to the letters. I do 2-5 puzzles a day depending on my schedule and can pick right up where I left off in a game if I am interrupted. Enjoy!

Poor customer support. First, I love playing many mobility games. This one, however, is not one of them. Whenever an ad starts loading, I get a white page that states “error 404” I wrote to support 7 days ago and the only reply I get is the we’re working on it script. I checked back a few times because the issue persists, but I still get the same bot reply. Time to dele this game.

This game could be so much better.. Word wiz isn't bad, but it’s not great either. The reason I gave Word Wiz 3 stars is because, many times the same word will be in the puzzle, twice. For example, “note” and “notes” would is just one example how the same word shows up in the same puzzle, when there are, clearly, many other words the game developer could have used. I almost feel like the game developer is being lazy and rushing through the games without putting much thought into the games.

Themes and words. Halloween was over more than a month ago, yet they still have the Halloween theme up. Plus very annoying sound/music that you can’t turn off. Also, too many repetitious words in each puzzle and too many plurals of many words. Needs to be a little more challenging. Plus no hints. And no points for words not in the puzzles. Aldo, there are way too many ads. So annoying! This game could be so much better if they tweaked it with more features and less ads. And change the theme timely!! Update on this review. It is now 2 weeks till Christmas and they still haven’t gotten rid of the Halloween theme with that totally annoying music that you can’t turn off. I refuse to play again until they get their act together with the whole app!!

I like it but.... I play a lot of these word games. The ones I go back to again and again are 1-3 below. 4 is a decided plus. 1. Calm soothing music preferably has the option of playing something to your liking. 😭This needs to be added!!! I turn off the sound on my device cause I cannot stand the sound effects provided. 2. Daily goals which this already has. 3. Levels which show accomplishment which all Mobilityware games have. 4. This version has something I have not seen in many other games—it helps you to learn new words. Already I have learned a new word!

I have been enjoying your game.. Please either go back to your original background and sound or set it up for Thanksgiving Day and then for Christmas, etc.. I am Gettysburg Ng very sick of seeing the Halloween background and sound by now. It's way past Halloween time now your logo says one thing but when one goes to open your app it's not the same at all. I could not find the setting Ng that was mentioned at the time of choosing to change backgrounds when I did try earlier. So, if you mean what you said that you r we as all your re iews here on IOS, Apple App Store here's your chance to prove that you do read andlisten to your faithful customers. Like it so far but the ads are annoying..lowered the rating due to ads. Less ads would make it better. Especially since there is a fixed ad at the bottom of each game. Or offer a paid version. I complete each game pretty quickly. The ads are so frequent and often long (not sure why some can be closed quicker than others) that I spend more time waiting for ads. I love the mobilityware products but this one has way too many ads. Maybe every other game would be better or a paid version, of course. I will be looking for another word game where I don’t have to be tortured by ads.

Why?. I have tried to purchase more clues. I play daily on my iPad. It’s iOS is updated to the latest version. Why does it get stuck during the purchase cycle and freeze. I have rebooted my iPad and I can play the game but when I try to purchase extra clues . I’m very frustrated that I can’t make any purchases

Good..but. So far I have been enjoying this game, but I do have several questions because unlike most games there really were no directions. 1-am I supposed to be racking up points? If so I’m not 2-how do you acquire more hints if needed? I still have 1, but used 2 when I accidentally hit the hint button. I attempted to contact your app support but it said the link couldn’t be found. I like Mobility Ware games but I’d say this game still needs some work

Can’t close ads. I used to love this game, and played it daily. But during the past month, I’m getting ads over and over again that can’t be closed so you can go on to the next match. It’s made the game unplayable. I play one game, the ad comes up (a casino ad is the usual culprit) and then I’m stuck. No X button or any way to not click directly on the advertisement. I then close the game and move on. I can’t participate in the Valentines Day mini game at all. It’s a shame because I’ve played over 1500 games, but this is ridiculous. Please fix your game.

Fun,Fun,Fun. I have had so much fun playing this game. I start one & cannot seem to stop until I finish the entire puzzle. It is such a challenge. Then you get to the part where there is no more help & you are on your own, you think you cannot do it. You find you are smarter then you thought. GREAT GAME FOR YOUR MIND TOU KEEP YOUR BRAIN WORKING. I cannot day enough good about it especially since it is free!!!!!!! Amen

My Favorite Word Game. An intelligent game. The developers did a good job of designing this game to keep the frustration level right at zero due to streamlined, no nonsense game rules and target words that make sense. The challenge level allows me to feel like I am giving my mind a nice workout and not just wasting time. As of today, I’m at Level 102. QUESTION- HOW MANY LEVELS ARE THERE?

5 Star Game 1 Star Support. Over 2 months ago I began having issues with Word Wiz. I figured that others would complain and it would be fixed, but after a month I finally sent a message to Support detailing the problems. They responded saying that they were aware of the problem and would look into it. Another month has passed and it still hasn’t been fixed. The screen goes black always after a commercial and it takes several hours to get back in and inevitably after just a few games the same thing happens. I’ve watched countless commercials that didn’t result in a game. I’m not sure why this can’t be fixed but I thought Mobilityware was better than this. It’s a great game but when an issue goes on as long as this it just becomes annoying.

Ad in the way!. Every few moments an ad appears directly across the puzzle and the only way to get rid of it seems to be to open the ad link to the app store. Otherwise it could be a good game.

No mental acuity required. I’m deleting this ap because of the dull, monotonous word non-challenges. Adding an “s” to a word so two connecting words can be completed is hardly sufficient for the average vocabulary and perspicacity. No points for extra words found not on the grid which makes it less interesting than similar competing games.

Almost to puzzle 1000. I was at puzzle 985 and it took me back to puzzle 1....I’m very disappointed. I play all the games by Mobility Ware because they are great but this has left me with a negative feeling about them.

Not enough variety of words. I’m finding the same smaller words being used over and over and over in each puzzle. There’s a lot of repetition which is frustrating. There must be some way to choose a greater range of larger words for each puzzle which in turn might lessen the repetition of all the smaller words. Seems like a lot of these words have the same half dozen letters which is what’s making it feel so repetitive. Otherwise enjoyable game to stimulate the mind. The constant ads are annoying too.

Great game but soooo MANY ADS!. Seriously it feels like every time I pass a level there’s an ad. Then there’s when you use another ap for a sec & when you return yup! You have to watch another ad. I’ve really enjoyed this game but now have to delete as there is no non ad free version available. I also put the music & sound to Off but that makes it worse when the ads play as they are annoyingly loud (depending on your phones sound level). I’ve really enjoyed this game but now have to delete as there is no non ad free version available.

Repetitive. I’ve enjoyed the app but I’m feeling like the same words are cropping up with in the puzzles. I’ve taken a break as it’s becoming boring.

So many ads. The game is filled to the brim with ads. Finish a puzzle? Ad Exit the app for a second to reply to a text? Ad Pressed the wrong level and need to go back? Ad As well as many smaller words being used over and over, gets extremely boring, ads are the most obnoxious I’ve seen. Until they change the ads I’d say find a different word game. There are so many they’re exactly the same.

Game reset back to Puzzle #1. I have really enjoyed this game but overnight after nearly reaching Puzzle #3000 it has been reset to #1. Not happy ☹️

Good game, but...... Love this game, but since downloading it a few days ago, my enjoyment at playing has been sullied by the fact that it chews up my iPhones’ battery at an alarming rate. Just ten minutes of game play, and the battery can be reduced by as much as fifty per cent. Are the ads the problem, or the game itself? Fix this and I’ll award the extra star.

Bugs!. Omg the bugs when playing the daily challenge! Screen freezes and takes about 30 seconds for it to unlock. I off to play Wordscapes instead.

Love it!. Fabulous game. Play a round every morning. I can deal with American spelling, but I think you should state that you use abbreviations of words, prefixes and words containing apostrophes like he’s and it’s. Once you are aware of those little traps, you are away in Word Wiz land :-))

Word Wiz. This is the best word came I have played for a longtime and I want to thank the mobilitywear for making this fantastic game I downloaded it 3 days ago and I can’t put it down.l play it until 1am must evening. I reach the puzzle 74 and it hasn’t yet cost me any money and that a BIG + for that game. Thank you Mobilitywear for this fantastic game. Michele

Too many words. I can get at least ten words that are not in the puzzle and sometimes even more that is very offputting!

Like it. Would be good if I could start here on the iPad at the same level I am on my phone.

Can’t open. Hi, Since the most recent iOS update, can’t open app at all, just reverts to the logo. Otherwise I was enjoying it.

Too many ads. I am not prepared to pay to have no ads. One game and then ads. There is more time spent on ads then the game

Word Wiz. I like this game and am a big fan of Mobilityware's games. But this game just runs frustratingly slow. Tried uninstall and reinstall. Still the same. Might have to give up on it and look elsewhere.

Suddenly reset me to level one. I’ve been crushing out this game, getting through lockdown with it. Up to level 293 today! And suddenly, for no reason, it’s reset me to level ONE. No explanation. No way to get back all the history. I’ve put up with all the ads you can’t avoid for games you already have, or for things you neither have nor want (eg a Facebook account). Not putting up with any more. #deleted.

App keeps crashing. No matter how many times I reload this app it keeps stalling and crashing. Plus small words are used over and over

Ads to many. Paid for an ads free 7 days but ads keep appearing, money taken under false pretences ?

Great game but. I’m up to around level 3700... so obviously I’m an avid player. What gets to me is the amount of ads. Like, the higher you go there should be less ads... I’ve probably watched close to 3000 ads on this app which is ridiculous. Also, there needs to be some better words added. A LOT of them get repeated and I find myself filling in “are” “era” “ear” “eat” “tea” and “ate” on the majority of the puzzles. Besides that it’s a relaxing game, still 5 stars even with my little grumble.

Display problem. This game is enjoyable however it often has problems in the display on my iPad. It shrinks down and is difficult to see the entire game. When I get an ad on the screen it’s so messed up that I can’t even x-out of the ad. Turning my iPad off and on again several times will fix it. I have the latest version of the game so am not needing to update. This is frustrating and I am playing much less lately due to this problem.

Decent game, but the ads...... Love the game, but hate, hate, hate the ads for Royal Match. I find them offensive. AND if we didn't download it the first 150 times why would they think we would at 151. Ditch them.

Fun Game, Lame Ads. The game is fun but the ads are long and it’s tricky to click on the X in the left corner after the ad finishes playing. There is no way to turn off the sounds in game.

Love the game. At my age it is keeping my brain working and thinking how to solve the puzzles. So far so good I am 75 and thanks to games like this hopefully I will make 100.

Good word game. I tried out several “free” word games and gave up on them because the ads were really annoying. While this app also has ads, you get hints in return for the main ones and the banner across the bottom is easy to ignore. The game itself is as easy or challenging as you wish and I really enjoy it. Note to the developer: No need to apologize for the ads. I get why they are there and I think they are actually done in a reasonable way. If you re-read my original review, you will see that it was actually positive. Thanks for replying anyway.

Fun game. Keeps me on my toes

Good But APP Still Needs Work. Good fun app but this app still needs to have a way to have an ad -free version. Moreover, the app really needs to be in landscape mode as it interferes with my charging cable causing more wear & tear from excessive bending on the lightening cable from being too much in portrait mode, & replacing cables every 6 mos gets pretty expensive! Landscape mode is essential here.

Great Challenge Word Puzzle. Word Wiz is an excellent game to challenge both mind and vocabulary. I also love the reward of learning new words that perhaps I have only heard used once or twice if at all. If you are a word puzzle buff, this educational app is for you

Ads, ads, and too many ads. Otherwise.... Since I'm not paying for this game I expect to see ads but, it would be nice not to see them so frequently. Otherwise this is an enjoyable game, good for helping retain short term word memory?

Not what it advertised. I wanted to play this game because you had to find the opposite word, for example; Hot- cold, Hate/love. False advertising Game is being deleted.

Vocabulary incomplete. Puzzle 57, "ret" (to soak) should have qualified as a bonus word but didn't. It's often used in crossword puzzles. Other than that I'm enjoying the game so far.

Good way to pass time.. Good app

Recent Update. The most recent update (May 2024) kind of ruined this game for me. Not in a way of bugs but the new visuals are not very good, they actually make the game look cheaper. The store icon constantly blinks and shines and is super distracting while doing the word puzzles. The update also got rid of a few of the letter hints ive been saving up, so thats cool. I also dislike how the ad plays immediatly after solving a puzzle. There really wasn’t anything to “fix” with this update. You just made your game look like hot garbage now, consider going back to just before this particular update. It really does look and feel ugly now. Why change what really wasn’t broken?

Crown not included. I’ve been addicted to this game for what feels like years now. The adds aren’t too bad, I like that I can exit out of the longer ones after a few seconds. The game design is great, it’s kept me going for far too long. That being said my biggest complaint is that there seems to be some glitch where I am never able to collect all the stars to get my fifth crown. I swear every time I’m about to the game resets and I have to start my mission all over again. I just want to achieve one small meaningless victory!

Wizard of Oz. Great game. The good witch should come around more often and extend the game by giving extra moves!

SCREEN YOUR ADS! getting worse!. These ads come in, from my location they are Chinese ads with thirty seconds long ads, or longer, and no X to get out or skip. I don’t need a full half minute to decide whether I want a particular app. And when there is no exit button, the player can only reboot the game. Trust me, it will get booted, but not rebooted. Deal with these...MobilityWare has several games, two of which I had to close just TODAY because the ad had no exit method, and wouldn’t close on its own. I already stopped playing Subway Surfers, and it looks like these are next.

Word puzzle. Great game

Mobilityware Word Wiz malicious site ads. The game was fine until about a week ago. Then ads started popping up that my protection blocked saying they were malicious websites. The ads varied but the site that was always blocked was continuoslyshop dot com. The ad that was showing was not for that site. It’s like that site hijacked the ad. Sorry, but deleting the app. It’s not worth the risk

Ads. Love this game but they have allowed some ads that have no way to close them. I have to turn phone off to remove the ad. Then restart to open game. I don’t mind ads but these never go away.

Weaker rewards. I’ve been playing this for a couple of years. It’s always been the most miserly of the games I play, with 5 days of puzzles to earn a crown, and only 3 of 5 crowns with rewards. But now, my ‘reward’ is constantly wallpaper. How useless! I every close to quitting this game once and for all!

Latest update. The latest update to fix minor bugs has made things much worst. Cannot play the game anymore as it does not allow me to link letters to create words.

Bad update. New update is worse than before. Press hint button & you might get one...more likely you’ll get the game freezing with little white dots going around in circles, have to force close the game or turn off the iPad & back on again to get game to restart. And with the update there is a new glitch: press hint button & nothing happens. No hint box opens at all.

No ads for hints?. When I tap the icon for a hint it’s been saying “there are no ads available right now. Please try again later!” Doesn’t matter how long I wait, or how many times the app is re-launched, there are no ads available. It’s been like this for weeks.

Challenging. This game uses a different dictionary than I’m used to in word games. Some of the more common words end up being bonus words. It makes me really rethink my vocabulary to complete the puzzles, and that’s great. I enjoy it.

Love it but it’s crashing. I have quite a few games from Mobilityware and love them. Games are fast and fun and I don’t mind the short ads. What is going on???. I enjoy this game and it’s backgrounds but right now I can’t change the background and it is annoying!!! It’s some kind of challenge that never seems to end and has a dark ski town background and i have no way to end the challenge or change the background though I have tried! Word wiz. I have been playing the daily part of word wiz for over a year and I want to know why there are evil jackolanterns on the screen when I win. I don’t like the evil pumpkins at all ever but I think the pumpkin season has come and gone. Please fix this or I will delete the game.

Old word wiz. I accidentally deleted my old Word Wiz. I’ve been playing it forever six years now and I could not retrieve it back so now I have to start all over again.

The best. I have played most of the word games from the App Store. This is by far the best one. There solvable without using obscure words. There also not money hungry. Excellent but.... I love this game. Been playing it for years now. My only complaint is that now, when I finish a game, an ad for buying hints immediately pops up. It’s bad enough that I don’t get to see my completed board, but if I want/need to see the definition of the final word, I don’t get the opportunity to do so. Please, give me a chance to see it again.

Word wiz. Love the game but when moving from level to level, the screen goes black. The “x” appears but tapping does nothing. I have to turn my phone off and then on.

Fun game - but keeps crashing. I have enjoyed doing a couple word games on this app every day for quite a while. The challenging level has been very enjoyable. I wanted to let the developers know that it crashes repeatedly for me, where the screen goes white when I touch a letter. I’ve restarted my phone and no luck. I would have given it a five star but now am questioning if I will continue with it at all unless this can be fixed.

Help. I have been playing this game for years with out problems. This week I started having a problem. I am playing the game and all of a sudden a full page ad is on the screen without any way to get rid of it, so I can’t play anymore. I have tried many ways to try and remove the ad to no avail. I have also shut down my iPad and started it again, only to come back to the ad. Please help with this problem.

ADS. I enjoy playing this game. I purchase the ad free option for 6 months for $2.99. Within a couple of plays “ oops there it is” adds. At the bottom of the screen, the rolling all’s and the after every game.

Background. I want my solid green background back and it won’t change. Fix your glitch. I’m so frustrated with this game. I’m considering deleting it and looking for different word game. I finally figured out how to get the green background back. Now it switches back to the mountain scene background after several games have been played. I can swipe the game off my screen and when I bring it back up it’s at the green screen again. That‘s annoying but at least I can get the green background.

Fun and addictive. This game allows you to get “help” without watching a million ads to earn a coin or two to bank towards getting a hint. It’s fun addictive. The color options are nice and not over done. It’s friendly for folks with visual issues.

Problem ad. Your Toyota ad is a big problem. It flashes during my game every 10 seconds, even when I’m spelling a word out. Extremely annoying! I play it daily but I’m ready to delete the game. No one should have to put up with such interruption. Reading other recent reviews, it’s evident that other players made the same complaint about the pop up ads. You didn’t respond to them and you didn’t fix the issue. You’ve lost another customer.

Purchase Ads Free. Do not purchase the ads free. It does not take ads the main ads away. Tried to use the help button it tells you to wait a few minutes and if then restart game and still nothing. Then they suggest uninstalling the game & reinstall and guess what it takes thing away. All the purchases and your level. I love the game but I will not purchase the ads free again. Because it does not work.

Word Wiz. I like this simple game but it crashes every day! Like it’s trying to load an ad that won’t load and it gets stuck. I’m tired of having to delete this game every day only to have to start with the first puzzle yet again. Tired of that!

Fun to play. I like this game and like Mobility games in that they don’t inundate with 2 minute ads. The ads are tolerable. Collecting letters to unscramble is unique and I like learning new words. I do wish, though, with the definition that the pronunciation of the word was also included. My other wish is for landscape mode as I like to play on my iPad.

Love it, BUT. You have recently changed the background and "force" me to play with that background, despite having chosen one that I prefer much more. The current "mountain" background is incredibly distracting and it has a definite impact on my enjoyment of the game. If this continues, I will probably stop playing...

This game here is very calming. I love this game cause it has me thinking 🤔 and on how to get letters to spell the best words I can keeps my mind thinking 💭 instead of my other addiction coloring app my family doesn’t get it about these games how they can have calming effects on me but at least I can use my brain 🧠 more with word wizz Thanks 🙏🏼

Unhappy customer. I was surprised and disappointed when I loaded this game and after I did I received a notice that my payment was received! When I saw the game everything I read said free! So why was I not told there would be a charge but not even a hint about how much! Please remove the game and refund my money!!

5 stars to 2 with update. This was one of my favorite games until the last update. Now it’s just miserable to play. I may get rid of it with so many ads. I understand and accept the need for ads but they now overwhelm the game. I also am not a fan of the new backgrounds and other graphics. I’m sorry to lose this game but it’s no longer enjoyable.

I like this game BUT tried of having to turn iPad off and on just to play. I have really enjoyed this game. However will soon delete if I have to keep turning iPad off then on just play. Please fix!. I’ve played the game of Word Wiz for a long time now. I would normally give it a 4-star review, but I’ve encountered a problem with one advertiser in particular. That ad is for Scatter Slots Casino. It plays and plays and I cannot exit it. It’s very frustrating. It happens every time the ad plays. PLEASE FIX ASAP! Ads, ads and more ads. You can’t even leave the app and come back to it without it starting more ads. Right in the middle of your game. Like most MobilityWare games, someone must be getting rich. Many ads are more than one page, requiring you to hit the X many times, since the first hit hardly ever works.

Too much waiting to play. I paid to stop ads but still see them and the between game graphics are super annoying and take forever to run through. I just want to play the game and see puzzle after puzzle. I wish there were an Arcade version of this without the trails and challenges and stupid bonus words and stuff - just puzzles

Awesome game!. I’ve been getting better since I’ve started, but it’s so difficult to get the help (light bulbs 💡) without watching an ad (or two) to be able to complete the puzzle(s), but when ya get it done then you feel Awesome 👏🏻!! I’m Not going to be playing the game Every Day (only when I get a notification) I’m Mostly happy with the app.

Cool game but.... I really like this game and would play it more often HOWEVER, I don’t play it too much. When I am playing, I usually like to listen to audio books and the ads mess with my the audio and pause the book. It is annoying when yo constantly have to stop the game to restart the book

New Flower competition needs work. I appreciate a new challenge, but have not been able to find a way to see my progress. The game seems to randomly show where I am, but I can’t request it. Quite frustrating.

Great format and function but too easy. I really like the way the game works and looks. But there are too many 3-letter words and too many singular-plural versions of the same word. Just get half the words and you’ll get the other half by adding an S.

Fun but when does it get challenging?. I’m not sure what to expect ? Maybe I’m just not there yet, but I don’t find this challenging, especially with the use of singular and plural words and a lot of cat, rat, eat... I’m at game 82 level 17...will it get much harder soon? And, how about a timed game? I can buzz through some of these in minutes, which is fun but no point to it really except my boredom level.

Too many ads. I love the game. It’s addictive. But the 60 second ads to reveal a letter are too long and they don’t take into account what you’ve already seen and downloaded. So I’m seeing the same ad multiple times.

Those Ad!. This game was really fun until you reach a certain time. Then the ads start and they are worse than the ones on tv. Actually they are intolerable. Running a short ad is one thing but some of these runs on for what seems like forever. I will be deleting this game even though I really liked it before those long ads started. I decided to try it one more time and found that the ads were not as bad as they were. Therefore I am changing my review and would like to recommend it. The recent update is really nice.

Invasive ads!!. I don’t write reviews for apps but I had to for this one. It’s a great game that makes you think differently and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. BUT... the ads are insane. They have sound and don’t always have the option to turn the sound off. (Try this happening while putting your baby to sleep) I contacted them and they advised me to turn the sound off my phone. And they also reset me so that I had to start from the Level 1 again. Ugh. Uninstalling this game today. Get rid of the ads!

Fun. I appreciate the reward of learning new Word & Definition. My 12 year old grandson became Hooked on helping me with puzzle AND loved new words . He finds Words in a Boy way (I think) Moving his fingers around and Oh there’s a word:) I know that one in school spelling list. He Picked Up on PRIZE right away, I did not. Cool. Fun. Amazing. Excellent. He’s enjoying too. Good tool.

Bonus word pronunciation. Really like the variety of words . One thing I really really would like to see is the pronunciation of the bonus words. Many times it’s hard to tell what the words should sound like.

Fun To Play, but. Enjoy playing. Three shortcomings: app often times stops responding and I have shut down the app and reopen, need to provide info on whether words in a puzzle are ordered alphabetically from left to right and top to bottom, and explain how bonus/hints are awarded.

Keeps closing. This app randomly closes while I’m playing on my iPad! SO ANNOYING!!!!!! Also, when I try to watch an ad for a hint, I get no ad, or a black screen. Word wiz. Great game! I love it! I up to level 239. I would like for the letters to change, for the amount of letters to increase, and for the puzzles to get larger as you get into the levels that I am. The “3 letter words” tend to be the same on every puzzle.

Was Great. Until recently this game had been great but now trying to get a clue rarely works. Always getting the message that an ad is not available. If you are really stuck you have no choice but to stop playing. Also, the backgrounds have gotten too distracting. If you try to pick a different background it changes back to their heavily pictured backgrounds again.

All games.. I enjoy playing your games but I think it is terrible that we have to be charged to stop the stupid interruptions with advertisements all the time. Can’t you people see you are just driving us away from playing the games. I refuse to pay more for that I just won’t play the games. I know a lot of people feel the same. Really good except.... I really like this game and would play it more often except for two things. To many advertisement with obnoxious music. I would love to purchase no ads. The other is, the game dies and I have to delete and download the game all over again. I get a white screen with an “error 404” msg. Mobility Ware is my favorite game developer so a fix would be great.

Please update.. Could you please update your app? I am getting constant freezing and crashing on IOS 14.2. Update: The app does not crash when network connectivity is blocked for the app. I like the app, so I’ll have to sacrifice my ota device connections.

More Vocabulary Needed. I play this game every day and like it quite a bit. However, I often use perfectly good words that aren’t recognized as real words. The people who choose the words ought to have a larger range of words in their vocabularies. For instance, I’ve used the word gar, which is a fish, but it wasn’t recognized as a word by the masters of this game. Thank you for asking for my opinion.

Word Whiz. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy playing this game! Sometimes we help each other with her puzzles! We have found that you need to have a decent vocabulary and knowledge of spelling. This is NOT one of those computer games that cheats! 😀

Used to be fun. I have been playing this game for some time now and it’s been fun. Once I got to puzzle 1144 the ads became intolerable. I let it go for a while but after each puzzle you were confronted with an and that won’t go away no matter how long you wait for the all encompassing X but it doesn’t appear. The only way around it is to close the app close it open it close it DELETE
