Robert V.. Great game ! 👍🏼Just finished beating the entire game and man let me tell you that this game will require focus & excellent thinking skills to completely beat🤦🏻‍♂️. Some of the best puzzles that I’ve seen in a game in a long time. The game becomes very challenging as it goes on, and it never gets boring. This is a game that you definitely want to see through from start to finish so that you can uncover the mystery in this beautiful intriguing world. Visually the game looks great and is backed up by a unique stellar sound score that will leave you wondering and wanting more. All the interesting characters that you’ll come across throughout the game will all give you their own set of difficulty and challenges. This is The Best Apple Arcade Game that you won’t want to miss ! Friendly Reminder:Don’t Forget to listen for the in game sound cues as you progress ! Good Luck.🤙

I what a DLC. The new story.. what’s upon a time a strange force happen in the mansion a entity came out the passage and change the world into a puzzle. It he’s evil self and make obstacle he face. The transform tree touching it would turn you into a monster that help you walk in lights or turn the lights into objects. this form is very dangerous and make sure you not in the light well intact in with the tree or in light in this form. it can make a great puzzle. New fish creaks can block light in water and make foes powerful. upside down entities walking in your neighborhood ceiling and discover the world and take back that blue light your evil self have steel. ant Eater trunks don’t spill water, but teleport you to another way. there are two lemur trunks in a block that go different directions they follow and swap enemies. and the sun turns into a creak sun which is the dark sun. Creaks that walk in walls and walls can make you walk in the walls. and more creaks like cat creaks that chased the dogs creaks and chase monsters and activate wheels to open an entrance but in the end of the DLC it a dream. The cats unlike sheep or dogs they stay in place to attack unless scared enough. The cats represents cat dolls or figurines. The cats are the only creaks that can attack most monsters. They’re distracted to human creaks.

Very good, if slightly too easy, puzzle game. Great art style, great music, great if intentionally vague and ambiguous world building, great sound design, a few fun minigames in the form of "interactive paintings", overall a very fun game and a great way to spend some time on a lazy afternoon or a long wait at a bus stop. My only complaint is that the puzzles don't ramp up in difficulty that much throughout the game. Plenty of new mechanics are introduced to keep things fresh, but the difficulty curve remains pretty flat with only a few exceptions. The last puzzle in the game in particular had me going "Wait, that's it?" as it really didn't feel like some final test where I had to put everything I'd learned up to now into use. It felt like any other puzzle, and could've been slotted in anywhere else in the story. But, this game is great for what it is, and provided me many hours of enjoyable gameplay and charming visuals that makes it impossible not to recommend. Definitely give it a try.

Hate that it ended!. I didn’t know what to expect out of this game, and I wasn’t hesitant to download it, but I enjoy puzzles so I did. It was amazing. Every second I had, I played this game and even put some of my number 1 games on the back burner just to finish. It was challenging yet not impossible to beat. Very rewarding once you move on to the next level. If you’re looking for something to work your brain yet still be fun, download this!

I say yes. This game is challenging and has puzzles that require logic and thinking. Don’t say, “I can’t beat this stage” because you might come up with something to do that you haven’t thought of before. Just get inspiration from other reviews. Some people who left the reviews have done all the stages and know what to do, so they would sometimes leave it in their review. It dosen’t get harder and harder. It just requires logic and puzzle solving skills. If you want an adventure game with sketched graphics and puts your logic and puzzle solving skills to the test, this is for you. Unless you are a coward because this game is kind of creepy. Living furniture? Monsters? Creaks? Scary music? Just one is okay, but all of them is not for the faint hearted. As long as you know ghosts don’t exist and your furniture will not come to life, you are fine to play this. Just don’t play this too much, you will believe everything there is in this game exists in real life if you do. But this is a fantasy game. Nothing in this game can happen in real life. Well, most of it. Play now!

5⭐️. When I went to download this game it reminded me of Jacksepticeye playing Sally Face, way better ending that doesn’t make you sad. This game took me 3 days all together playing in my free time. I enjoyed this and it is definitely fun and different. Haven’t seen a game like this before but it peak my interest quite a bit and I’ll be looking for similar ones. I’d also like to add when turning on the lights it reminded me of my childhood. Things look different in the dark and become normal when the light is turned back on and I thought that was extremely creative and something everyone can relate to.

I love this game. I’m new to Apple Arcade and I saw this as a game recommended for me since I enjoy puzzle games. The graphics are dark and creepy and I love that the levels get increasingly more difficult as you go along. There’s a little more direction on how to play compared to some other games by this developer. Very fun! I played through it once. Found it on PlayStation and played it all the way through there too. Then I came back to my phone and noticed I hadn’t gotten all my achievements so I went back and played through the game a third time to find all the hidden rooms and paintings that I had missed the first time around. I have tried multiple other games that are similar to this and Creaks is by far my favorite of them all. I would love a longer game or a part two.

Very nice puzzle solving game. Love Amanita game designs. I played Samorost before Creaks. Both games are beautifully designed and created like pieces of art. I really like the puzzles in Creaks. They are both challenging and entertaining. Especially loved the scene at the end of the Palace. On a side note, though, I need to mention that the achievements earned by completing tasks insides paintings are pretty arduous and boring. Especially the ‘amazing magician’ painting in which we are supposed to make a cow pass the circle is impossibly hard. I wish whoever designed this painting challange get some common sense and receive revelation that tedious tasks are not entertaining!

Good difficulty level of puzzles (bug?). I think this is a really fun game if you just wanna sit down and do a bunch of puzzles, with some light world building peppered in. Trouble is, with no hint system, I’ve hit a puzzle that I can’t work out (3rd puzzle of the tower with the bird head,) so now I guess I’ll just stop playing. Plus, since many new Apple Arcade games have been released with bugs, I can’t tell if its that I can’t figure the level out, or if it truly is impossible. (You lure the robot dog to the pressure button, but then when you sneak behind him on the ladder, he *always* notices you and runs off the button, and you can’t run fast enough to solve the puzzle and escape.)

Best Game EVER!. Okay so I’m 59 years of age & have been playing games since they were invented. This is by far the BEST I’ve EVER played. It’s adventurous, challenging, amusing, intriguing, colourful, exciting & the sound-effects & general background music are pleasing & appropriate. Sometimes I get royally stuck & have to put the game down for a while - & a few times I’ve had to use a walkthrough as I’m impatient. It’s a long game, which is brilliant as you really get into the storyline. I don’t usually write reviews on games but this one is SO worth recommending! I shall be sad when it’s finished 😩

Great game, good length, all around fun. I’m the kind of person who has way too much free time on their hands, and I can never find something to play that lasts more than a few hours. This one took me 2 days, which I’m really happy about. I love the achievements you can get, and I always get mad at myself when I miss one. The game had a really sweet ending. It’s one of those “it’s not what you think” type games, which I love. And for someone who has really bad in game reflexes, I was actually able to do quick timed things which is really nice. I avoided this game for a long time because I thought it was a scary game, but I was totally wrong. Wish I had played this sooner! Sad it’s over though. Great job developers! ❤️

First time reviewing a game. I just finished creaks as it was my first Apple Arcade game. I have never been much of a gamer but this one was a lot of fun and entertaining! Also I loved the artwork, sound effects and story. It was like being in an Edward Gorey painting. I loved how it’s creepy in a fun way, and the puzzles were challenging enough but still easy to figure out once you saw the patterns. I love the music and how it would change positively once you reached the next point in the puzzle.. like a little extra clue you knew you were doing what you’re supposed to! 10/10 would play again.

Very good game! 🪜🚶‍♂️🦜 💡 🐐 🐕. Very fun and challenging puzzles! This is a game where you get through puzzles by shining lights on evil jelly fish to turn them into harmless globes. I love this game because it really makes you think hard about how to pass the puzzle your on. I also love the interactive painting mini games. They are really fun and challenging too. The nice thing about it is that it’s not one of those games that you get and it’s really fun but then you finish it the next day. This game takes thinking time!

Absolutely Amazing. I really loved the animation style and gameplay and found the story line quite nice. The puzzles were quite complex and really forced me to think before acting. Perhaps my favorite part was the background music and how it matched with the gameplay and especially the little twinkles that play every time I finished a task properly felt really rewarding, which was a welcome surprise in the world of gaming. My brother played it on our AppleTV as well and really enjoyed it, although he experienced quite a few crashes while playing, though nothing that messed up his gameplay as autosaving was frequent enough that he never lost any progress. On the PC side of things though, the game was flawless and I will be recommending it to any of my friends with Apple Arcade.

Beautifully frustrating. This game is interesting and has potential, but essentially has you climbing ladders and getting attacked by robot dogs in the beginning. The controls are so clunky and awkward that the difficulty comes from simply not being able to take the actions that you want. Trying to run to a ladder and quickly climb up or down is near impossible and eventually makes you want to throw your phone out of frustration. When a game takes me there it’s time to stop and this game does take me there! The sound is appropriate and the graphics are beautiful, but the game play kills it for me. And…story? What story? A dude gets trapped out of his house in a spooky maze with bizarre creatures and literally doesn’t blink an eye about it? Dumb.

Amanita does it again.. Seasoned gamers have played through variations of these button/switch/pressure-plate puzzle games before, but probably none quite like Creaks. Amanita brings excellent dynamic music, subtle humor, fantastic art, and coherent, wordless storytelling to the genre. I was a little unsure when I started the game because I thought it was going to be standard puzzle fair (and I am a bit burnt out on this genre of games) but I quickly became engrossed in the game's world. Every little detail captured my interest and really compelled me to finish. PS: This is my second favorite game by this team... I'm not sure how they could top Botanicula. (Definitely play that one, too!)

Good graphics, fun puzzles. What could be wrong? (READ BEFORE YOU PLAY). This is the best of arcade and probably my favorite game. Now, I know what your thinking!why did you rate it four stars? Well, there’s nothing wrong with the graphics, they’re unique and good. The storyline? That’s fine, I guess. The atmosphere? I love it. But the gameplay. Know how I said fun puzzles? There’s only a few of those in the beginning. All the rest is extremely hardcore and every single scene I have to go and see how to do it by looking it up. Don’t get me wrong- this game is great. It’s only that little hint that makes it a 4 star.

Fun and challenging. Would hardly change a thing about this game. This dark and haunting puzzle journey is reminiscent of a mazelike and dystopian Alice in Wonderland. You follow a clueless but intrepid Victorian era scribe in slacks, down a figurative rabbit hole through various labyrinthine ladder linked chambers. You intermittently spy on several well heeled avian characters in their quest to repel a giant invader that continuously tears at the crumbling dungeon that you all now inhabit. There are some animated paintings at regular intervals that serve as short interludes between the progressively challenging puzzles you must complete. You use your wits to avoid getting bitten by aggressive dogs, jellyfish and scarecrow like creatures that instantly transform into harmless furniture as you solve the puzzle. There is enough guidance by way of button hints to help with getting started. Though I did get stuck at times, it wasn’t many, thanks to the help of YouTubers. Since you cannot advance if you’re stuck, the option should be given to skip a puzzle or receive hints, unless the developers intended players to search online for a walkthrough. Fantastic game and the playing environment and acoustics were excellent.

I’m getting bored. Huge fan of these devs. I bought into Apple Arcade just to play the previous release which did not disappoint and then ended my subscription. Today, I saw this game and immediately signed up again. Unfortunately, it’s not like the others. I’m iabout 30 minutes into the game and it’s becoming a little tiresome doing the same tasks over and over. And the controls are not perfect, it’s hard to stay consistent controlling direction and action. Additionally, although gorgeous, the desaturated environment makes it hard to see light switches, floor holes, and even the dogs. Playing on iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s not terrible, just getting a bit repetitive.

Absolutely breathtaking and brilliant. I absolutely love puzzle games like this, and this one really challenged me, while at the same time it was totally doable. I feel like there’s a lot of puzzle games that just make it either too easy that it’s over with way too fast, or too hard, where you HAVE to look up an answer in order to figure it out. This one was perfect. Definitely some head scratchers, but I never had to look up how to solve it. On top of that a beautiful story line. I really did enjoy this and I’m sad it’s over. Please come out with another game like this! Or even a part 2!

Fun, surprising, and delightful. I love this app developer from such other works as Machenarium. The design in EVERY aspect is so thoughtful, top to bottom. The way the sound design interacts with the story is so genius, it gives you such an immersive feeling while playing the game - I highly recommend listening with headphones while playing. It also took me several sessions to finish, so the content was long enough to keep my attention while not being overly repetitive. Each puzzle is unique and scaffolds the things you learn prior to each one so wonderfully. It’s a great story and very beautiful to wander around this incredible world in the deep underground layers of the world. 10/10 would play again.

I’ve been playing for 30 minutes and I’m hooked. This game has a unique design that enhances the experience by 10 fold. I love the puzzles. I expected nothing less considering the Apple Arcade has been putting out some amazing content👍. Oceanhorn 2, BASS2 etc. Edit: great for high end Apple devices, I’m on iPhone 11 and I think the game is great. Ps, add a guide book that has ideas for different puzzle situations so you you can use new strategies for new puzzles. Keep up the great work, I’m excited to see where this game goes

Best of Arcade so far. I’ve loved Amanita for so long, and joined Arcade when I saw they had a new game. This one is so much fun and so thoughtful. It’s a great game for a new player, because they don’t try to trick you or hide anything. There are no alternate choices, you move straight through the game as you progress so you don’t have to wonder if you’ve missed anything. And there are no stupid ways to die, you don’t constantly fall off a cliff say, because you keep getting too close on accident. The game just keeps you from wasting time so you can devote all your thought to solving puzzles. And the puzzles are fabulous. They are so incredibly clever, I don’t know how people come up with this stuff. Every time you’re thinking “there’s no way!” But then you think of something you haven’t tried yet, and make progress. It’s a very consistent game - if you like it in the beginning, you’ll like it in the end, and it doesn’t necessarily get harder and harder as you go. Just more clever. It’s a very special game. The sound design and music are incredible. And best of all, like all of Amanita’s games, it’s a narrative on some level so it’s that much more emotional to actually finish it. I hope these developers are richly rewarded for their efforts and can publish again soon! Not soon enough!

Favorite game on Arcade. This is far and away my favorite game in Apple Arcade. The art reminds me of Machinarium, the controls are easy and intuitive to understand and the puzzles are challenging without being impossible. While the game page recommends using a controller, playing on an iPad was fine. Importantly, the game indicates when you can interact with things and when you can’t, so you aren’t stuck endlessly touching the screen in hopes something will happen. Most of the puzzles are simple logic in which your movement and actions influence the behavior of the other creatures on the screen. Once you figure out how your movements impact them, it is usually just a question of figuring out the right sequence of steps to make your way through to the next set of ladders. There are also a series of puzzles within the game hidden as paintings - some of these were interactive, others ween’t. As a whole, not as much fun as the rest of the game, but I appreciate adding in a bit of diversity into the game play. Lastly, the game lasted me a LONG time. While you are definitely left wanting more, you don’t feel cheated by the amount of puzzles.

Captivating. This game really pulls me into its world with it’s fantastic sound design and detailed artwork. The best types of games are the ones that you start playing, lose track of time, and find yourself wondering how 2 hours went by when it seemed like 5 minutes. Creaks is definitely one of those games, and despite its relatively simple gameplay, it does a good job of adding onto concepts that the player is familiar with, and increasing the complexity of its puzzles along the way so that the player isn’t disengaged. There is a very interesting world to explore here, and I love the concept of using “furniture monsters” as enemies, so that the player can also use them as platforms to reach previously inaccessible areas when they are “docile”. A lot of wordless world-building goes on too, when the player encounters set-pieces of bigger monsters on the outside of the mysterious house the game takes place in, affecting the landscape around them. It provides a good reason for the player to keep exploring the house, wondering what will await them around the next corner. Another fantastic addition to Apple Arcade!

Beautiful puzzle game. The graphics are beautiful and puzzles are engaging. Many of the bad reviews are from people who are either stuck on a puzzle or dislike puzzle games (both are bad reasons to leave negative reviews, in my opinion). I have also seen comments about lack of contrast making switches hard to see. That it somewhat true, but I will mention that the interactive objects are are subtly brighter than everything else, giving them the contrast they need to be recognized without breaking the theme of the fantastic artwork.

I’m not one to review games.... ... but I feel that this game is worth my words. Normally, I just give a game my star rating and that’s it. But this little collection of puzzles has impressed me. Judging by the level select menu, I’m about halfway finished with the game. And, in that time, I have come across several puzzles (chief among them, the four hounds in the clock room) which gave me a very rewarding feeling when I finally solved them. Plus, even though there is no dialogue, I feel that the short scenes between puzzles where the character is eavesdropping on or interacting with the various supporting cast are endearing. The art style is true to the videos and screenshots, and I think is very fitting for the dream-like atmosphere. The sound design is unobtrusive, which I appreciate. Also, there are these subtle musical cues as you progress closer to the solution for a puzzle, which I like. Amanita Design have been really doing great things in the adventure/puzzle genre, and I’m glad they got the green light to publish this game on Apple Arcade. I hope, their creative team stays inspired, and their financial team stays well-supplied.

Fantastic Game. This game is beautifully animated with relaxing, mystical music and soothing ambient sounds (my favorite being the guitar acoustic sounds while climbing ladders). The puzzles themselves are accomplishable but challenging and the story line itself is intriguing. I couldn’t put this game down. I also love the little hidden games in the paintings you find throughout this underground world. I have recommended this game to all of my friends and I can’t wait to explore the other games by this developer!

Best game on Apple Arcade. Best puzzle from Amanita.. It’s long. Probably the longest game Amanita Design ever made. And it’s gorgeous. At the end, you will think it’s not long enough. The art, the music, the gameplay, the story... It all comes together as a masterpiece one can enjoy for a while. If you haven’t played their other games, be aware that some of puzzles are not that easy and can be really hard and challenging. Luckily this one doesn’t need audio puzzles to be solved in order to succeed. Well, unless you want to take home all achievements. But there will be plenty of moments you will be eager to google for a walkthrough. Just don’t. They all are solvable, just take your time. Listen to the music. Take a rest, return another day. Savor the moment.

Clever Puzzles, Fantastic Story. The storytelling in this game is truly top-notch. Without using any written or spoken dialogue, the designer conveys a broad range of emotion and a robust storyline. I’ve played desktop games that were as emotionally moving, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen a phone game reach this level of quality. The puzzles are consistently excellent. Not too easy, but not obtuse or frustrating. Each has a rational solution that will be obvious in retrospect but requires you to play around with the environment. And a fantastic environment it is, with background details that make you stop regularly just to admire the scenery. A must-play for anyone who likes puzzles or storytelling games.

First time playing an Amanita game. This game was the first game I have ever played from Amanita - and the first of any puzzle game as well. I was very skeptical about whether or not I would enjoy this type of gameplay but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the game. Not only is the art, music and overall feel of the game beautiful but the puzzles were very fun and challenging to figure out, especially through the last half of the game. I saw a few comments from people saying they thought some were impossible and had glitches or something. To those people - keep working through them because it is usually only a step or two away from completing them and it’s very satisfying when you do finally figure it out & will typically leave you thinking “why didn’t I think of that earlier.” The storyline was also very intriguing and kept me compelled to go further to figure out what was going on. I do sort of wish there was more game, but I suppose it had to end at some point. I will definitely be going back to play previous and future games from Amanita Design. Great job. 333

Masterpiece puzzle adventure. Amanita is known for classic point-and-click adventures, but the decision to make Creaks a puzzle platformer really, really paid off. Each level is a masterclass on great puzzle design, from the introduction of mechanics to the difficulty curve. And on top of that, the eerie artstyle is stunning to behold, balanced well by the more light-hearted story. And the music! Each level's music gets enhanced slightly as you progress through each puzzle. Creaks is really something special. As soon as I finished it on Apple Arcade, I bought it elsewhere for full price. Good art is worth it.

Wow!. I didn’t finish all of the achievements in this game for I am a mother. I did however learn that there were moments in the game you had to be patient, maybe come back and try again. That is a lot like reality. You get stuck, it makes you upset. You wanna give up. When you keep going you will always find your way out. Of course you gotta go through it. I beat the game and I definitely would give more stars if I could. This was beautifully put together.

Controls are garbage!. I downloaded this game because it looked pretty fun and the design is construction well. So far I am having a good time playing it but the way the controls are set up are not very reliable. It’s very difficult to move around sometimes and when I want the characters to go one way the controls completely stop working and then I have to start my task all over again. It’s pretty frustrating. I also would suggest putting a tutorial at the beginning of the game because when I started I got no instructions. I have been figuring it out along the way.

Definitely the best Arcade game, to date. When I started this game, I was rather dubious that I would like it. However, it really sucked me in, to the point that I ended up playing through the entire thing in under two days. I do wish it was longer, but you can’t really complain about that, given the cost of Arcade, and the number of titles you have access to. Even though some puzzles appear frustrating at first, the level of challenge is close to perfect, so that you feel a sense of accomplishment as you progress. It felt good to exercise the brain a little, and I enjoyed the weird art style. Highly recommended.

Perfect game!!. I loved this game! Nice challenging puzzles without being impossible. Beautiful artwork and light storyline that was easy to follow without any text. I only encountered one bug and that was during one of the goat levels, but it didn’t prevent me from completing the puzzle. Whenever the bug showed, I’d just restart the level from my last save point. For those who feel stuck, keep trying—this game can be completed. I missed some paintings and want to go back to find them but don’t want to have to replay everything looking for them. So I’ll wait until someone posts a walkthrough with all the painting locations. Again, great game!

Simple yet magnificent. A lot of Arcade games try to hit on console-level complexity only to deliver a “meh” experience. Creaks doesn’t do that: it takes a simple story with virtually no dialogue and beautifully tells it through a gorgeous art style, just-tough-enough puzzles and a uniquely textured soundtrack. In fact, I think textured pretty well describes the game overall: it’s essentially a 2-D scroller, but every corner of the world is hand-drawn and has a distinct “feel.” Puzzles and enemies never got repetitive, and instead struck a delicate balance of challenging and satisfying that kept me coming back for more. There’s whimsical humor in the tiny details of paintings and cinematics. The world truly feels expansive, with lore and mystery added with every level. Even the characters, none of whom utter a word, each feel distinct and, well, textured. This feels exactly like the kind of game that Apple Arcade promised to deliver when it launched. And boy, did it deliver on Creaks.

Best game on Apple Arcade, period.. I was deeply impressed by this game, it starts out as a simple side scrolling puzzle adventure game and steadily increases in complexity as you go, from stupidly easy to challenging but not “screw it’s I’m just going to google the solution” hard. There are plenty of “ah ha” moments and discovery as you delve deeper into the game. One of the most impressive things is the giant city you see in the game art, that’s actually the entire game. Each level is more or less a single screen but altogether forms a giant interconnected map. It’s astounding how much planning and detail must’ve gone into creating the game’s level mapping. Touch controls work perfectly, you move, jump and hit switches, everything else comes from observing and learning enemy behaviors to manipulate them into opening the path forward. This is a very clever game and a prime example what we need more of in Apple Arcade. Highly recommended and well worth your time.

Delightful. Easily my favorite game made by Amanita Design, and their previous games were not easy to beat! It’s their most ambitious game yet, with an amazing amount of content that feels like it will never end. Just when I’m starting to figure things out, a new mechanic is introduced that upends everything. The puzzles have a few tedious moments, but overall nothing is too easy or too hard. The art and story are magnificent, with a spooky atmosphere, plenty of hidden details, and no need for words. Can’t wait to see what they’re developing next!

Frustrated. I like the game as far as I have gone which is not far at all. I have come down a long ladder and I know what I am supposed to do to get past the mean dog, but when I get a little close to the dog to make him mad and then try to run to the left and jump down to the lower level, I really believe the game developers made it so that the controls do not respond as fast so the little guy can run fast and jump down to get out of the way. I know when I just use the controls to go left, they seem to work faster, but when I am trying to escape the dog chasing after me, the controls do not work as fast. These old hands of mine are not able to do the job.I have been able to jump down about two times successfully, but then when I am trying to climb back up and then go to the right, again the controls do not respond very fast. Is there some other way to get past the dog that I am not realizing? I know there is a lot of game left to play but I have tried for about two weeks now, and still cannot get past this area.

Never thought a puzzle game would make me cry but here we are. I mean where do I start, the graphics are beautiful, the music fits perfectly, the puzzles are fun and challenging, and oh my god the story that is told purely through scenery is amazing. The world building is just flat out stunning. Not to mention the mechanics of the game and how light turns creatures into furniture just reminds me of my childhood in the weirdest way. All in all, if you’re into puzzle games and want a nice story to go along with it this game is perfect.

The game is completely worth it!!!. I’ve been looking for a good story line game on here for a while and I found Creaks! This game was so worth taking the time to play! It is so extremely creative and the attention to detail is by far the best I’ve seen in iPhone games. The puzzles and the folklore behind it is so fun and cool! Characters would would never even be able to think of come to life in this story. (Even though there are no actual words spoken the noises that’s the characters make and the music bring the story together in a ver beautiful way! I am looking forward to fill in another slot and playing again!!!

Just the right amount of challenging. Couldn’t recommend this game more. Challenging enough to be rewarding but not frustrating. Also not too easy. Few puzzle games find the middling balance between the two as well as this one does. Only looked at tutorials for 3 of the scenes and 1 of them was just not realizing the in game control switch was movement based instead of on/off. Loved it. Wish the devs had more puzzle games but such is life.

Will test your puzzle solving skills. I’m not into mobile gaming. I downloaded this to kill time but I’m glad I did. I was skeptical at first but gave it a try and became addicted to it. It really does challenge your brain to maneuver through the obstacles in each level. There was times where I spent over 15 minutes in one room and was on the verge of just looking up a walkthrough of that room. But after trying to solve it and succeeding, it made it that much more rewarding. Great game and the developers who envisioned the puzzles are amazing.

Glitch?. I was having fun playing this until I got to scene 9.The dog on the bottom floor absolutely will NOT stay on the pressure plate! I have tried going back down the ladder after closing the draw bridge that blocks the light, (which is the ONLY way to turn him back from being a dresser and be able to get to the ladder!). He chases me TO it, but then LOOKS DOWN, SEES IT, and STOPS! If you stay on the ladder until he calms down, he goes back to his spot where he was sleeping crossing the pressure plate only for a second! You have NO time to climb the ladder to get to the dog on the top floor and get by him while HE’S still a dresser! If you try to climb BACK down to the first one he attacks you and you have to start the scene all over again! Yes, I have tried sliding him into different places in the light including as far as he can go and you can’t slide him ONTO the pressure plate because the light doesn’t reach that far! I have replayed this scene SO many times that I’ve stopped counting! I have even reset the scene; NOTHING works! I don’t mind a challenge; in fact that is what I LOOK for in a game like this; but this is ridiculous!

Amazing!. I needed something to play on a six hour flight so I opened the App Store. I didn’t expect to find anything good but LO AND BEHOLD here lies the holy grail of puzzle games. I have played other games by this studio so I had high expectations. I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed. I do some writing in my free time, so I really enjoyed how story rich this was, and fantasy, puzzle and mystery are my favorite game genres. It is challenging but rewarding and as you progress you meet new enemies and discover new “mechanics.” Seriously the best puzzle game since “The Room” series and I love the art. I 100% recommend this game to all of you puzzle lovers.

Bravo👏🏻👏🏻. I👏🏻LOVE👏🏻THIS👏🏻GAME👏🏻! The adventure, the puzzles, the comedy.... ALL OF IT! I enjoyed the creepy vibe. Not only was there a story within the story with the paintings, but the little side games was very amusing! I especially enjoyed that there wasn’t hints available. I loved that I had to figure it out without help. I could not put this game down at all. Even when I know I needed to, I wanted to keep going. Sometimes you had to though and come back because of the difficulty of the puzzle but that’s the thing. It always had me coming back and wanting more. I was very sad when I knew the ending was near. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication into perfecting this game.

I really wanted to like this game.. I don’t usually write reviews but this game was such a let down. It seemed to have all the right ingredients. A new puzzle based game with great graphics. Unfortunately after 45 minutes of just climbing up and down ladders running from robot dogs I had to stop. The game is not fun and is actually frustrating. I really don’t know where this game is going but had to stop. The graphics and sound are great. But my advice to the game developers is pick up the pace and have something halfway decent happen early on to prevent boredom of climbing up and down ladders and switching on lights. Or at least some sort of story line that hooks you and makes you want to figure out what’s going on like the storyline in Neversong.

tricky yet emotional, creepy yet funny. Already becoming one of my favorite 2D puzzle platformers. It's puzzles can be head-scratchers and sometimes knee-slappers too. It's art and music live up to other Amanita's good reputation. The first Amanita game I've played built from the ground up for game controller, (what some would call a proper game) and its just lovely. It's hard to make a game intellectually challenging yet emotionally satisifying. It's just as hard to make a game dark and creepy yet simultaneously witty and delightful. Doing both without using language... unbeleivable!

Beautiful clever game. One of the best games I’ve ever played. Every aspect of the design was nearly flawless. The puzzles ramp up in difficulty and complexity, thoroughly exploring each new piece to the puzzle. The artwork was beautiful and eerie and informed gameplay. The music was peaceful and matched gameplay cleverly. After every puzzle, you really feel as though you’ve solved an impossible challenge. The storyline was engaging and suited the puzzles well. Especially near the beginning, the storyline worked mostly independent of the player. This added depth to the world without jamming a plot where it doesn’t belong. By the time the player is influencing the story, you’re going to be very invested in it. I only have one slight criticism: one of the (optional) interactive paintings requires you to dance along. It’s cute and not complicated. But because the “move” button is so dang low on the screen, I couldn’t swipe down when I needed to. It was kinda frustrating.

Amazing. This game is phenomenal and I’ll be excited to support the makers in anything else they make in the future! What you created is beautiful. 100% recommend downloading!!

my favourite ever. this is such a banging game brah, i loved the design/animations. felt very lovely to watch. very emotional ending. cried. sometimes very tricky and challenging however still such a banging game.

Wonderful. Absolutely amazing. So addictive Great graphics, art and storyline

Superb. Fun and fantastic game. Loved the full ending.

Top Game. Well done!! To all those involved in this game creation! You are exceptional talent!!! Be very proud of this captivating game!! I thoroughly enjoyed playing every level! Its interactive with the paintings and the design... Amazingly thought through. I love the dark themes and the special touches to the puzzle level I love the dark creatures which made it more interesting to learn their ways. I absolutely recommend this game!! And you can play it on flight mode, which I enjoyed when I was flying. This game has given me contentment! Thank You All!

Best mobile game. Best game I’ve played on a mobile phone platform. Please make a sequel.

Artsy and intelligent. An eerie adventure/puzzle game that sets the bar to the next level for phone games. Has the feel and ambiance of Limbo/Inside/Abe’s Odyssey. Very creative and fun to play.

100 ways to describe Spectacular. Having played and been a fan of Machinarium, this game has not only lived up to that but is insanely better than I’d expected but secretly hoped! The mind-bending challenges, extraordinary graphics, smart and engaging gameplay are all the reasons it had an addictive grip on me... a touch scary but well worth it! I’ve never witnessed anything near this calibre of perfection nor anything worth comparing except for Machinarium. Intelligently designed, delivered and simply impressive. Never stop making wonderful! You’d be CRAZY not to download this game (unless it keeps you up until you’ve completed it which may kill you or others!). And even if the game style isn’t for you, the other parts will capture the interest of almost anyone and a everyone!

Nailed it. Machinarium has always been one of my favourite games. And Creaks is just as good. Probably not as tricky because Creaks is more linear. But there’s hours of game play. Absolutely loved it.

Best game on Arvade I've played so far. I love the music and picture of this game. The style of this game could be a little mysterious or even eccentric. But that's why I love it even more. Besides soving the problems, it has a really cool story line. If you want to know what the giant monster is in the game, play it yourself!

This is as rare as hens teeth!. The out of the box thinking required in the later parts of the game is refreshing. Especially some of the mirror puzzles. Just the right amount without it being frustrating. Have enjoyed a puzzler like this since machinarium! Love the art style! If you enjoyed the likes of machinarium and samrost, you will love this! Congratulations on an awesome job! Would love to see a continuing saga!

Very enjoyable. Had a great time playing this, nice little additions throughout to keep it interesting. Wish it was longer!

Spooky and amazing. The puzzles steadily increase in danger and difficulty 10/10 recommend

Where do I start. This game has to be one of my favourite games I have ever played. I hate games and puzzles but this game changed that all for me 😍😍😘

Please make more..... I never write reviews but this so deserves it! Please continue the adventure and make at least 10 more. A brilliant addiction that is truly engaging, with brain working puzzles , music is enthralling and visuals are wondrous. Thank you for making happy moments in my day!!

The best game I have ever played. Unbeatable, can’t praise enough. Please come up with another game like this. After playing this game I don’t feel like playing anything else.

What an amazing game!. Everything about this game is fantastic! Thank you!

I absolutely loved this game bring Creaks 2!. I loved the storyline, the weird and wackiness of it all, the dogs turning into a bed side table, all of its glorious weirdness. Each game required strategic thinking. They weren’t too easy either. One of the best games on the App Store and I don’t say that lightly. It kind of reminded me a bit of Abe’s World. Freaky and weird with a lot of thinking to do.

Absolutely brilliant. Loved this game.

Excellent. Awesome! There are so many clever puzzles, beautiful graphics, so much attention to detail and a surprising storyline. Everything was so well thought out and I enjoyed it very much, thank you.

Hauntingly beautiful. This is a beautifully designed platform/puzzle game. I’ve played it all the way through but missed a few hidden paintings so need to go back and find them. Overall the puzzles are really well done and make you think, but not so hard that can’t figure them out - some do take longer than others though! The music and general soundscape is nicely done too. Creepy, but not too much. Really enjoyed playing this.

Promising look but controls a pain. The opening scene of this looked really promising. But a little way into the game it became apparent it was going to be a fiddly platform game and that on an iPhone screen I was just going to get frustrated. On the second dog creature, my character kept standing there waiting to be mauled instead of climbing the ladder I was asking him to climb. Puzzle solving can be fun, but when you can’t get a game to execute the commands you want, it just becomes an exercise in frustration.

Meh. This game starts as though it could become a good game, but then as the “puzzles” came in. The next one was basically a copy of the last one but 15% harder. Yawn. Waste of time do not recommend

Great work!. I have to say this is a of the few games in the Arcade to make the subscription worth the money. The production is excellent, quite a long game with great finale. Download it.

Cool mind puzzler. I can’t remember if I had to pay or if it was free, but I played it right through to end, I did cheat a little on some scenes looked up online how to pass the section, because it was a bit tricky, but found it to be a great little puzzler game to pass some spare time. Worth it……yes for sure.

I LOVE IT!. If this adventure goes on and on, I will keep playing as long as I m alive! I need more games like this, especially the style and clever puzzles!

Amazing Game!!!. So much fun to play. The art style is beautiful and the puzzles are very interesting to solve. The story is very nice and told through visuals.

Fun adventure and cool graphics. This is simple and enjoyable. Well thought out puzzles and challenging enough to feel like an achievement each time you get further. Loved it.

Fabulous graphics and very nice puzzles. A great game.

Very Basic. Some puzzles are ridiculously hard without finding answers online, but the entire story is basically one level. Not satisfying.

Beautiful. Was hesitant to download at first but soo happy I did. It is a well designed and thought out game. Beautiful to play and has a great storyline, even though not a single word is said or written. Very well done. Also is challenging and a few levels had me scratching my head. Thank you.

Great game; plenty of charm. Captured that "just one more room" feeling. Very good game and enjoying it quite a lot!

SO GOOD!. Creaks is one of the very few awesome games in Arcade. The design, puzzles and ending are brilliant, original, awesome and delightful all at once. WELL DONE DEVELOPERS!

One of the Best this year.. I was going to say as brilliant as Machinarium but as it is done by the same people this should be no surprise. Lovely, beautiful, musical. A pleasure.

Brilliant. Apple Arcade needs more games if this quality. Then it would be worth keeping after a free trial. Fun, quirky and challenging. This is iOS gaming should be rather than all the ad or in app purchase ladened trash available outside of arcade.

Fantastic. Such a rich, interesting, enjoyable game! so many unique puzzles set on a beautifully created illustration. You will not tire of this one!

Meh…. Story not very gripping and movement quite slow

Incredible design, imaginative and very fun. This game is incredible. I’m not even a gamer but I got hooked. These guys are geniuses, really creative and the world is dark, mysterious, enchanting, magical, macabre, enticing all at the same time. Please do more, this is exactly my kind of game.

No sound?. Haven’t played much but I have tried all my settings and there’s no sound, which I feel makes it lose a lot of the atmosphere I was looking for :/

Gorgeous. Fantastic animation and great story. The puzzles aren’t too difficult but difficult enough to make solving them satisfying.

Puzzling. This is pretty neat but the story as it unravels will get more interesting I hope. I used controller and it was awkward.

Another beautiful game. Apple arcade is hitting it out of the park lately. This is a beautiful game, filled with puzzles, adventure and a great story. I really love the artwork and game play. Controls are simple enough for my 5yr old to help. Great game!

You can’t go wrong with Amanita Design. You know them. This game is another top hit from them. If you’ve ever played and liked any of their other games, play this one. Amazing art design (as usual), vey nice puzzles (that make you think but don’t frustrate), weird characters. The usual...

Charged me $6 for Apple Arcade. These game said a 3 day trail and now I have to call apple and get a refund, I unsubscribed and deleted the game immediately after I figured downloaded it.

Just amazing. Just blown away with the amazing beautiful creative world the game presents. Loved every moment every puZzle.

Nice. 😻😻😻😻😻

Scene 10. How do you complete scene 10. I would of given 5⭐️ if scene 10 wasn’t so hard.

The best iOS game since monument valley. This is exactly my type of game. Clever puzzles, but also a distinct touch of whimsy, storytelling, emotional investment... It’s superb, play it, tell your friends.

Best game Ever. Omg. This has to be hands down the best iOS game I’ve ever played. Thank you and hoping for more.

A Genuine Pleasure!. Maurice Sendak, Charles Addams, Mervyn Peake and a dash of Terry Gilliam fused by the ever evolving Amanita touch. Quite wonderful!

Excellent Puzzle Platformer. I download and try quite at few games, but these days there are very few that keep me interested for more than a couple hours. Creaks is one of those rare gems that has everything going for it. The puzzles are not too easy not too hard, and have plenty variability so as to not get boring. The hand-drawn graphics are beautiful and fresh, and the sound design is great too. To top it off there’s an interesting little story that adds an element of mystery. I can’t recommend this game enough!

Great game for iPad. I loved this game. Played it on the iPad Pro and couldn’t stop playing. One of the first games where I started playing again as soon as I finished it.

Fantastic game!. This game is the best thing I’ve played in a while. With glorious art, a creepy Edward Goreyesque aesthetic, and puzzles that are challenging but don’t make you pull your hair out, this is my favourite game in a long time! You will get tired of the dogs, but rest assured, new enemies are just down the ladder!

gorgeous but finicky. the art is incredible on this game and there’s clearly a ton of work and talent that went into it. the issues i have are that i find the controls finicky and not ergonomic (?). the images are super tiny so it’s hard to see what’s going on and i’m sure it would be impossible for someone with low vision to use. it felt repetitive quite quickly, and i’m stuck on a level where it seems that the squid thing is not behaving as it’s supposed to? i checked several guides out of desperation and it should go in a certain direction once after turning switches in the right order but it won’t.

The BEST!!!. I can’t find words to express how I love this amazing game!! The design, the storyline, the painting and everything are incredible! I really appreciate the developers for creating this high quality game. You guys are genius. I totally fall in love with this mysterious and magical journey. Definitely gonna try your other games.❤️

Phenomenal. Simply the best game ever

Okay. Story is boring. Takes so long to develop. You as the player have no idea why the character is doing all the puzzles, going deeper and deeper into the underground world. The puzzles themselves are just annoying to do, not like fun puzzles or riddles or something, just basically a chess match. Good potential though.

Beau !. Excellent et beau jeu ! Je recommande !

Great game. This game’s storyline is very intriguing. The animations and design are amazing. The puzzles are challenging at times, not too much but enough. I finished it in a few days. Highly recommend:)

Amanita does it again. Being a fan of Machinarium, I was sure that this would be a good title and Amanita once again didn’t disappoint. This is a very well done puzzle platformer with tons of mechanics introduced, and many secret areas to discover. The animation is perfectly drawn, and the music is an interesting and wonderful menagerie of sounds and noises that blend together splendidly. It’s also a great length, not too short, and not too long. It’s also not an easy game, with plenty of head scratchers - just the way I like it. Loved every bit of this. Bravo!

Epic game. What an adventure! Loved every second

Amazing !. This is the best mobile game I’ve ever seen. Well done !

Amazing game. One of the best puzzle game I ever played in my life!

Challenging, Fun. Great Aesthetic. I love the macabre look of this game and the puzzles are very fun and rewarding to play.

LOVED this game!. I don’t generally play puzzle games, but I picked up Creak because the unique art style intrigued me… and then I couldn’t put it down! The animation and music are amazing. The gameplay is fun and intuitive and as with all great games, it expertly teaches you the rules without explicitly spelling things out. I especially loved that there are no words, the animation and auditory cues tell the story which is absolutely charming. Some of the mini-games in the pictures were a bit janky but they were so silly-fun I had to finish every one I found (especially the painter and his cat, a charming story inside a charming story!). Now I have to go check out other Amanita titles!

Awesome game!. I really enjoyed playing this game!! 200/10!! 🥳

a wonderful game!!. Amazing creepy story. The puzzles are genius and some of them are very hard to figure out. One of the best games I’ve ever played!! I highly recommend it!

Absolutely Brilliant. This was a game that really captivated you. The puzzle work and all the artwork with interaction on some. I never rate/ leave a review.. but this game was amazing on the iPad with a controller!!! Got stuck a few times and had to put it down a minute… but eventually beat the game and kinda wanna try it again.

Such a Stellar Game. Excellent story, puzzles are a good mix of hard but not too hard, gorgeous artwork, amazing unfolding of details. All in all, I was really, really impressed with this game. Took about five days to get all the way through it playing it quite a bit. Loved every moment of it. I’ll definitely be looking into other games by this studio. Highly recommended.

Great great great game. I saw Amanita I play at once

What an odd world. It might melt your brain however, it is as equally beautiful as it is whimsical. There’s a big world waiting behind your bedroom wall waiting to be discovered, full of strange sights and dangers. I feel like the game takes your absurd childhood fears and runs with it. Initially I was intrigued by the imaginative atmosphere as well as the quirky animations but was completely won over by the intricate puzzles. Cleverly there is no dialogue- it conveys its story through sound and mime allowing players to transplant their own meanings and interpretations. I spent quite some time looking for a fun game to play and was certainly not disappointed by this one, I’d love the creators to come out with a season two! ☺️

Perfect game. Really enjoy it.

Beautiful but redondant after a while. Amanita creates quality games with beautiful graphic with imaginative music and environment. But for this new title, I find the gameplay really repetitive and redondant after a while. I’m at stage 5/29 and already bored. Not the same depth at all compare to Machinarium.

BUG FOUND. There is a bug found in the app on scene 22. I’m doing a certain move and the app shuts down unexpectedly. This has repeated for more than 10 times now. If I am placing a different step then the game resolves. Hope you will resolve this thanks.

awsome game. thanks apple arcade for this game

lovely. A beautiful game, attractive story and surprising scenes. Thanks for creating this game <3

Amazing Art, Neat puzzles. I read 8 years doing the art for the game. It looks great. The puzzles are good as well. The story is interesting

So good!. One of the best mobile game I have played. Great graphic, atmosphere and sound nothing to complain about.

Feelin’ good. A game that makes you feel so good. so artistic, you want to watch it again! Illustrations, characters, music and the story so warm that i forgot the year i’m in. Thank you!

Beautiful and Very Entertaining. The puzzles are very fun to complete - they’re not easy but not impossible either. I just completed the game and I think this is a game that will stay with me for a while.

Fantastic. What a journey

Doesn’t work.. Can’t review it if I can’t play it. Crashes before it even loads. Shame. Looked good.

An amazing game. Highly enjoyable, highly playable, excellent ambience, gorgeous graphics, music to suit the mood, long enough to exhaust the concept without getting dull. Very creative overall. Highly recommend it.

Best. This is the best Apple Arcade game in the world. It looked really creapy at first but its awesome for what it is. But why it the guy spying on the bird guy? I’ve never seen a game this good. I wish I could rate it 1000 stars 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Clever, hilarious, and heart warming. This is such a fun game: the puzzles are super cute and often times really funny. Amanita is a brilliant studio

Lovely art and story, some control issues. The art, sound and style are something that Amanita has really made their own, and this continues the trend. The characters and locations are lovingly created and detailed with all sorts of little flourishes and neat touches that you can easily miss. The only issue is with the touch controls sometimes failing or when responsiveness is needed but slipping makes you miss and have to redo the move.

Awesome detailed game!. Loved this game. Challenging but solvable! 10/10

Simple but well polished puzzle game. Not really Adventure.. This is a breath of fresh air. but also a let down. The UI and controls are fantastic compared to most games in Apple Arcade. The graphics are well polished and the atmosphere is well done. The puzzles are good, but the developer’s other games feel like an adventure with non-repetitive puzzles. All the puzzles here are basically the same style. However, it did crash the first day.... but nothing since then.

A Quirky, Challenging Strategy Game. Creaks was one of the first games I tried on Apple Arcade, and convinced me to sign up for the annual subscription. It's very graphically appealing and creates a well-balanced mental challenge. It feels like a 2020-era game, not a throwback. My only minor quibbles are: 1. Hints would be helpful (although the change in music through most of the scenes let's the player know he/she is on the right path). 2. The controls when using a keypad can at times be just a little unresponsive. 3. A few of the puzzles/scenes are arguably beyond solving (too hard) and require a little online research in order to progress. Apple gets big kudos for not requiring in-game purchases in Arcade (unlike Pogo, where people are fleeing by the thousands). I look forward to finding more strategy games on Apple Arcade that are just as well done as Creaks.

Overall a nice adventure game. This game is creative, the artwork is awesome, the story is long enough compared to other adventure games. The puzzles are creative and not boring. But this game has a few problems: 1) Crashes several times while playing. The auto save won’t lose your game progress but crashes too often is somewhat annoying. 2) The game consumes lots of battery and my iPad Pro gets very hot. It shouldn’t be like this which is just a 2D game. Overall, adventure lovers should not miss it.

Brilliant!. Amanita knows how to make a adventure puzzle game, and they really nailed here. Definitely their best. I had a good solid “huh, how do I solve this” on a significant portion of the puzzles. Other than secrets, which are not needed to beat the game, nothing is hidden or esoteric. You have been shown the rules and the solution is on this screen. Just think hard about what you have and what you can do and you’ll get it.

Beautiful game. The aesthetics, the atmosphere and the music is just a beautiful fresh fruit salad waiting to be consumed. Little secrets to be found, stunning visuals and puzzle mechanics and they aren’t TERRIBLY difficult. Lots of save points both within the puzzles and outside so if you want to take it on the go or you’re doing one or two puzzles then you can cram it in. Overall 5/5 would go learn about my neighbors again

The best game. I finished this game in two days because it was so addictive. The graphics are really great. I attempted to find another that would challenge and keep my attention like this one but failed so I am just going to restart from the beginning. I really hope another version is released soon.

Best game I’ve played in a while.. I have Arcade for my kids, I am not one for many games, but this one is great. I decided to try this game based off of the reviews and it was fun to play. I went through the whole game in a weeks time playing here and there. I did pair an Xbox controller which made it even better. The game makes you think and gives you a challenge, but it is not frustrating.

Great game, still crashing. I love Amanita games and this one is a fantastic addition. The attention to detail for the environmental graphics are astounding. Just one small, but annoying issue...it keeps crashing. I didn’t have too many instances of crashing until this evening where I can hardly play for more than 5 min before it crashes again. What’s up with that? I hope you are able to fix that soon...I’m itching to keep playing!

Incredible game. So many games these days are disappointing and not worth the time, but Creaks is not one of them. This game is absolutely incredible. Beautiful graphics, music, and really smart puzzles. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and want to play other from this production company. I was surprised at the sheer length of the story, and that the creators managed to sustain quality throughout. This game brings a lot of value to Arcade+!

Fun and amazing game!. I’ve played the game through 2 times now and love everything about it. The graphics and puzzles are amazing. The puzzles are challenging, not too easy, and only 1 or 2 (out of like 60) were really really challenging where I was looking for help. I’ll probably play it through a 3rd time. Would love to see a lot more games like this on Apple Arcade and in the game App Store.

Absolutely LOVED this game!. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I really believe this game deserves one. I have a hard time selecting games from the App Store, partly because there are too many to dig through but mostly because I can’t find anything that can keep my attention. Creaks creative, challenging, unique in its set up and artwork, and fun. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a puzzle based game that isn’t like the rest!

Best game especially if you like brain games!. They need a part two of this game because it was the best game I have ever played and I don’t even play games on my phone. My boyfriend helped solved the puzzles and he even loved it. It’s a beautiful story that is logic and thoughtfully made. I’ve never played a unique game like this on a phone. It’s such a good mind game with such a dope set of characters and animation too! 10/10 🔥

Phenomenal!. This is the greatest game I’ve played or seen in a very long time. The puzzles are fantastic, the controls are easy and the visual style of the game is so incredibly impressive that I had to write a review. I’m not normally a review writer but WOW this game is flat-out amazing in every way. I was so sorry to see it end! I hope to see more games like this in the future, so creative and artistic! I can’t say enough good things about this game. I love it!

Absolutely stunning little game. This game is truly a hidden gem. It was absolutely amazing. The beautiful visuals and sound design really sets the dark mood. The gameplay can be quite challenging at times but it only makes it better. If you have a chance to get arcade get this game right off. Thank you devs for such a masterpiece.

Everyone must try it! So good. I can’t not believe what an amazing game this was! I usually don’t ever finish any game I play on Apple Arcade. This one I finished in 4 days. Everything was phenomenally done, the levels had the perfect amount of difficulty the music was just right for concentration and the animation and story line, my favorite. Great job developers you really hit the ball out of the park. I truly hope there will be a sequel.

Really Creative and Enjoyable Game. Kudos to Amanita for creating a game that is challenging, super fun, simple controls, and has just enough wackiness and creativity in its design to keep you smiling while you play. I had installed this on my iPad when it first came out but forgot all about it until a few weeks ago when I decided to finally fire it up. What fun — more please!

Controls Hinder gameplay. It PAINS me to write this review because I absolutely love this developer. Some of my favorite games ever are from them. I love the game HATE the controls. They are soooo touchy you are constantly doing what you don’t want to do. You should only be able to dismount a ladder by pressing a button otherwise you will just sit there and be in an endless loop of mounting and dismount ting just trying to get off of the ladder. By making it button only to mount/dismount this would solve a lot of frustration.

Beautiful game with satisfying puzzles. I’ve only played this for a little while so far, but it is very fun to play. The puzzles are not too hard (so far, at least), but are very satisfying to solve. The art in the game is fantastic, and it looks and feels more like you are playing in a book than a video game.

Confusing. I just started playing this but so far I have found the controls to be hit or miss - maybe it needs a sensitivity setting. They don’t seem to work well or when you need them also it’s not clear what you should be doing spent 20 min mastering getting around a creepy monster dog assuming the pad he was sitting on was important but once I get there I see no hints or direction so I’m not sure I’m even doing the right thing. I’ll give it a few more days but so far only the graphic impress and that’s sad to have such incredible images in a game you can’t even play.

Disappointed. Because of my absolute love for prior Amanita games I have been counting the moments until this game was released. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m absolutely bored with it. The art is beautiful as is the music but the repetition of the dogs and now the squid-looking things is killing me. I am trudging along, force feeding myself the game hoping it will change—that it moves on to the real part of the game. Surely this isn’t it. Devs, I am begging you to go back to releasing the incredibly wonderful games like Samorost, Botanicula and Machinarium. Those games were beyond special and precious in every way.

Challenging and hauntingly beautful. PLEASE DEVELOP A CREAKS 2!!!! I haven't sat down and gotten lost in a video game in a very long time. This game took me back thirty years when I played "Maniac Mansion" obsessively on Nintendo when I was a ten year old. I love these types of logic puzzle games. Creaks was so artsitically and musically intercative, complex, and cleverly organized with such intersesting musical compostions and artwork that seemed to come from another universe. I enjoyed every minute of this game. CREAKS 2 PRETTY PLEASE!

Creepy, Challenging, Fun. I just finished this game, and I must say it’s probably my favorite game of the year. Completing a level makes you want to play more. I’ve never played a game that was so addicting. The graphics and music are creepy but matches the game’s theme so well. Overall, I really enjoyed this game and am hoping for more from the creators. It’s great for anyone looking for a challenge and enjoys solving puzzles. A great mind stimulator!

By far one of the best games!. I binged this game for 3 days and beat it. The process and gameplay was amazing, not too hard that makes you want to give up on the game, but just hard enough to keep you intrigued and focused. Cute little story and cute little characters. 5 stars all the way! Highly recommend!

Aminata games are great but. This is not a puzzle game but a reaction game. I’ve been killed by the dogs already too many times compared to the amount of play. Actually I’ve climbed up and down ladders more times than I’ve solved a puzzle. These games are good. If you like racing-to-the-exit kind of games, this is for you.

Beautifully crafted. This game is a work of art. Each section I walk into I just stop moving and look around at all the details the creators put into the backgrounds. So much thought has been put into creating this beautiful world. The puzzles are challenging and the further you get into the game the more interesting the story unfolds. Thank you to every person involved in creating this, it’s amazing. 💯

The graphics are great, but dunno about the platformer. It really comes down to what I’ve expected and enjoyed from Amanita design with the likes of Pilgrims, Samorost, Botanicula, and Machinarium and I don’t really expect to run into the same puzzle type (avoiding the mechanical dogs) multiple times in a row. If the devs want to experiment with a platformer (though there’s no jump skill involved), great, all the more power to them. Anyways, stuck at the point early on where the two mech dogs are close to each other, can’t figure out what I’m supposed to do here or the timing.

Another Fantastic Game!. Amanita really nailed it with this game. I’ve been a long time fan of Amanita games since the flash game Samorost. I love there art style and use of music. This game was so much fun and the puzzles were challenging and fun. The story was solid and the music was a pleasure to listen too. Do yourself a favor and grab this game, you won’t be disappointed.

Artistic adventure puzzle game. I play a lot of puzzle game but this one is by far one of the best in the App Store. The story is wonderful, the scenery is breathtaking, the suspense almost kills you as much as the enemies do, and the puzzles are fun. If I had to complain about anything, is that you get nothing for getting all of the collectibles, but that’s just a minor nitpick. Overall, I highly recommend downloading and playing this game if you like adventure, puzzle, and art

Quite a rare feeling. How can one game contain so much artistic creativity? Every step forward you make, every new puzzle you complete, you’re met with a new puzzle in a completely different setting. And so many different props. So much artistic detail to admire while you’re stumped with a puzzle. Took me a week, got my brain weak, and I’d do it all again to experience those final 10 minutes for the first time again.

Great Puzzles, Great Visuals, Great Music, Great Game!. Absolutely love this game. It reminds me of Limbo and Inside at first, yet it’s much different: the vibe is much lighter and the puzzles are more diverse. As an artist and musician, I definitely enjoyed the visuals and the music. The story is very interesting, but it might lack a little depth. But overall it’s definitely one of my favorite game. Keep up the good work!

Awesome Game. I agree with another review that this is the best Arcade game so far. The game strikes the right balance between simple but puzzle solving. Very entertaining. For those looking for a game that you can leisurely challenge your mind but don’t have 8 hours to play a game, this is for you. The graphics are excellent too. You can tell a lot of effort went into this game. Great job developers. Let’s get #2 released!!

Fantastic & Beautiful. I’ve played a lot of other Amanita games, and I think I have to agree with what another reviewer said—best one yet. The story is fun and compelling, and slowly reveals more as you go along solving puzzles and making your way through a catacomb of tunnels and caves stuffed with weird little set pieces and secrets. Also there are some scenes and transitions I went back to travel through multiple times because the visuals and animation are gorgeous.

Wonderful graphics, style, story, and puzzles!. I love this game a lot! I played it at first on my Apple TV and am now playing it again on my phone. Everything about this game is breathtaking, sometimes the puzzles feel really hard, but with a little bit of problem solving, it’s always possible!

WOW WOW WOW. I have not genuinely loved a game this much in a very long time. Just hard enough to keep you thinking and trying new ways to solve the puzzles but not so tricky that you get overwhelmed, stuck, or give up. Gorgeous artwork. Stunning music. Fascinating narrative. All with no words. Just incredible. Got this game through Apple Arcade but I’d honestly happily pay lots of money for it. Would be worth every penny!

Just wow!. And no, no bugs. It’s just a cleverly designed puzzles in this out of world place. I love it! The puzzles can be a bit challenging. But here’s the hint, if you try several times and it didn’t work, maybe you should try a different way. Sometimes we just stubborn. Also, count the steps. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Can’t wait for another design from Amnita.

Best Arcade game yet!. Hands down, the best game on Apple Arcade yet. Level after level of brain challenging adventure. Impressively in depth. The game is simply a pleasure to play. Controls are easy to manipulate, little games inside the game are a lot of fun. I was really impressed with just how big this “underworld” is. I really hope to see more from this developer soon. A+ game!

Non-stop crashing!. Something is very wrong with this game. After I’d finished about 1/4 of the game, it started crashing when I tried to start it up! Once in a while it’ll go through, but other than that it’s crashing all the time! Also happens when I complete a scene. Someone has to fix this, otherwise there’s no enjoying it. On the other hand, gameplay is good so far, very creative concepts for monsters and settings. I’ve always loved games by Amanita Design, and I’d give this one a good review if it wasn’t so malfunctional.

Stunning from start to finish. By far the most beautifully crafted game I’ve ever played on my phone! Graphics are absolutely stunning (LOVE the hand-drawn style), puzzles are genuinely challenging and the music (!!!) is an underrated hero, changing through the levels and helping you through the challenges. The little audio cues that say you’re on the right track is truly a thoughtful addition. Hats off to Amanita Design for another gem.

Amazing on AppleTV, Unplayable on iPhone 7. I am absolutely loving this game, but I can’t play it on the go because it crashes constantly on my iPhone 7. I’ve had a crash about every 5 minutes without fail. It’s a bummer, but to be fair the amazing visuals in this game deserve a bigger screen anyways. I’d highly recommend this to everyone, even with the caveat that it might crash on oldish devices. It’s insanely good.

GREAT Game!. Love this game! I play Machinarium (an earlier game from the same studio) and am stuck on a level due to a bug so I was excited to see that this gaming studio released this game as well. Love the imagery, storyline, puzzles (of course) but my favorite part has to be the interactive paintings. They can be as equally challenging, due to the timing and precision of a few of the paintings, which make it a great complement to the core puzzles.

What A GAME!!!. Brilliant game!!! It’s incorporated with the concept of Ksulu, oh I just love it!!! It is somehow a maze but you don’t need to spend time on memorizing routes, all you need to do is to study the structure of each scene and find a way out. Gotta use the brain. Its been a while for me since the last time I put this much effort in a phone game. Enjoy playing it so much! Plus, I love the small broad games along side the maze walls, they are so creep and adorable at the same time. Good job developers!!!

A simple challenge. this game hands down is one of the most amazing games i have ever palyed from the arcade store. the simplicity, creativity, and story line of the game is what makes it astonishing. it is a simple gmae that just relies on your understanding and desire to crack a puzzle. it makes you think abouth all the diffrent ways you can go on to complete a task/puzzle. the game is very simple and any one can figure them out.

I’m amazed. The puzzles, graphics, and design of this game are phenomenal. The puzzles don’t feel like they are made for kids, they are challenging. I’m having so much fun and can’t wait for the cool stuff in the trailer to happen. Thx a bunch a Amanita design (your logo is my favorite kind of mushroom. I’m 12 and I’ve been down in the dumps recently, and games like this make me feel happy for large amounts of time. Thank you, can’t wait for the next game

A Masterclass In Puzzle Design. Beat the game after 4:30 hrs today, and I am blown away! Puzzle/level design, audio, visuals, everything is 10/10 and incredibly well-thought out. No puzzle was too hard or too easy. All the while during my playthrough, I couldn’t help but think of 2009’s Braid, which is considered to be one of the best puzzle games of all time. Personally, I think Creaks surpasses Braid on all fronts, and claims the title as my favorite puzzle game ever, and one of the best games I’ve ever played. Well done, Amanita!

This game!. What a funny, strange, interesting, engaging, addictive game! I really didn’t expect much, but found myself playing every opportunity I had, even pausing tv and movies to play another level. The puzzles were fun challenging and figuring them out came quite naturally once I started moving about the level. The art work, is hand drawn and must’ve been a lot of hard work, and it was a really great ending. Awesome job!

Big letdown. Developers, maybe Apple didn’t pay you guys enough to really invest your time and effort since it is an Apple arcade exclusive game, but cmon guys, this is one puzzle repeated over and over again like 100 times. Really? I had to stop and delete it not even reaching halfway. You guys should have thought about your reputation before releasing it. If money is the issue, please release it as a standalone full feature game and make it 4.99 or something, I would pay without hesitation but this game is such a letdown after Machinarium, Samorost and Botanicula. I won’t be excited about Amanita games after this.

Wow. This game is beautiful, clever, creepy, fun, smart, intricate, unique and a million other adjectives. I had to google the answer to a lot of the puzzles but each time I was like, duh, so they aren’t super hard but you need to take your time solving them. This is the first game that I want to start again from the beginning. The developers did an amazing job on this game. Thank you!

Wonderful game; Amanita’s best ever!. I loved it. This is Amanita’s best game yet. It’s darker than usual, but it’s just as atmospheric, whimsical, and super-detailed. Most importantly, the puzzles are consistently logical, rather than being arbitrary (the problem with, say, Machinarium). I’m also finding the puzzles to be varied quite cleverly, each with a little special touch. The additional unfolding narratives of the present (bird people) and past (through interactive paintings) add layers of charming context and serve as nice milestones. Plus, goats!

Problem solving game, not puzzle game. I’m a huge fan of the Samorost games and played them on my desktop PC years ago, long before there were apps. Creaks has the beautiful, fantasy style art that characterizes Samorost…but that’s it. Strip away the eye-popping imagery and all you have is a simple problem solving game: “What sequence of moves do I need to make to get from here to there without dying?” type of thing. And it gets progressively more difficult, as those types of games always do. So if you like those kinds of games you may like Creaks. But because the controls are awkward to use, you may give up in frustration. I don’t know why they felt the need to add complicated two-handed controls. Maybe because the actual game play is so boring?

Another stunning game from Amanita. I fell in love with Amanita when I played Machinarium, and this is a wonderful companion to that - scenes that need strategic play, rendered in a beautiful picture-book pen-and-ink style that blows the mind with the abundance of detail. Short animated scenes keep a story arc going as you move your character through a vast series of engaging scenes where he has to navigate doors, pressure plates, and curious pieces of furniture that change into deadly creatures. Way cool!
