Wish it could be better. Overall it’s a worth having than not having. But it NEEDS these features for the app. -False Take Button -Ability to tap on name from main screen to change it -Ability to change output and time code settings in app -Having History of scenes, takes and notes similar to what you can use when not using app -Ability to do the same functions in Finder when no connected to app -Ability to add a folder on card -Ability to run a report on a folder Since Zoom doesn’t have anywhere to submit feature requests, the recorder needs the ability to add the track names from the metadata to the track naming structure. Would help post production save time organizing tracks.

App hasn’t been updated in 3 years. Honestly don’t know if this app is even compatible with my phone since it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. When I try to connect to the zoom F6 the recorder says connected but the app continues looking for a Bluetooth device. My phone doesn’t ask for a pairing password or anything. The app just doesn’t do anything.

Works with Latest Firmware. Be sure your F6 has the latest Firmware applied and you’re good to go.

It DOES Work.. This app absolutely does work. You just have to update the F6’s firmware. I connected and successfully controlled the F6 via the app (on IOS13) on my first try. The other thing to note is you cannot control your fader input levels on the main page of the app, you must click “mixer” to go to the horizontal oriented fader which unlock input/mix levels. My gripe is more with the range and which it disconnects (35-40ft), and the fact that the full menu system is locked out on the unit while connected via Bluetooth. When connected you must use the app gain access to the full menu structure.

Could be so much better. If we could tap on the name of the file and change it; rather than go thru the menu (5 clicks) to change the name of the file. Also creating folders on the app would be good too and generating a sound report as well.

Bluetooth is crap. Doesn’t want to work. It recognizes the F6 on the app but then connects and has no prompt for password. Then clears on devices connection and you can’t use the app. All the meanwhile showing connected in the F6 side. Useless

Doesn't work. Bluetooth window pops up showing the f6 device . I click on it then it closes then it pops back up again but there's nothing in the list

Not as useful as I thought. The one thing that would really help on set is being able to name folders- as that takes the most time to type. Unfortunately zoom f6 control doesn’t allow for that.

Great App. The Zoom f6 is a great audio recorder, and this app just makes it even better! I have been using it for the past few months without issue. I’m very glad that I decided to purchase the F6. For my work it’s a game changer. I have never had any Connectivity issues. The farthest I have been set up away from the device is about 40 feet. Never lost connection. Since it is Bluetooth, I kept it within line of site.

Stuck on Bluetooth. Stuck on Bluetooth screen just bought the Adapter for 40+ dollars and can’t use it definitely disappointed

Doesn’t Work. Wasted money on the Bluetooth dongle. Let’s me select device then returns to a blank Bluetooth screen and I can’t enter device password. Very disappointed.

Doesn’t connect. I purchased the Bluetooth. It allows me to connect to the Bluetooth but won’t let me enter password. So it never allows me to control anything. So it doesn’t work. Upsetting.

Two options to connect to the Bluetooth. If your iOS is the latest, connect to the second one “F6 Control” under Bluetooth. If your iOS is older, choose the first one “F6 Control (iOS 9-12). Mismatch the connecting option with the iOS version may result a white screen and find nowhere to enter the password. So, it is working well with the Bluetooth adapter.

Changed my review after I figured out how to do what I want.. I left my old review at the bottom so that it might help someone else if they have trouble getting their heads wrapped around the F6 and this app. To use the F6 as a USB audio interface AND use this app to control the mix do the following: - system->USB->AIF with Rec to the on position - system->Bluetooth->F6 Control->Connect In Wirecast (or whatever) bind channels 7&8 to left and right input and unbind 1&2. You can stream, record the production to disk and have the F6 save all the audio tracks to the SD at the same time. Sweeeet __——————- old review ——————- The App looks nice and does help label tracks. But I’m using my F6 connected to a Mac by USB as an audio source. So the app via Bluetooth can’t be connected at the same time the F6 is sending audio to the Mac via USB. You’d think that would be a sort of basic use case. After all, a F6 and this app would make for a really nice usb mixer. The F6 is really nice and I’ll never go back to mixing on a regular mixer. But if some version of firmware and app could get this stuff to work right, I’d be lovin’ it even more.

Sad, it's doesn't seem to work for some people.. I am one of them. I have updated to the latest firmware, and am currently on both the iPhone and iPad, but the app just sits on the Bluetooth screen.

App Needs To Be Updated. Simply put, the app hasn’t been updated in two years. It no longer works with latest iOS versions. The app initially connects to the recorder but won’t allow the password to be entered. The $30-$40 Bluetooth adapter has been rendered useless.

Doesn’t work. Wish I had read the reviews for the app before purchasing the adapter. The app hasn’t been updated in three years and freezes on a blank screen when you try to connect to your F6. Huge waste of money on the adapter.

Stuck. Same issue as others have stated. Zoom has clearly abandoned updating the app to actually work. It just sits on the blank Bluetooth screen after it has been connected and you cannot close that out to start controlling the recorder.

Well done. Works as expected. Makes navigating the menus far easier.

Just sits on the Bluetooth connect screen. Sitting right next to the f6 and my iPad definitely says my Bluetooth is connected in the settings. I have iOS 14. What happens is the f6 shows up in the app front page and then it vanishes leaving the entire usability of the app unworkable and useless.

Doesn’t connect. Will not connect via Bluetooth. Updated firmware. Never worked. Not sure it will ever work.

Great app but.... Great app but I do have one major request. Would it be possible to be to hear the audio from the app while recording? This way we can be completely wireless.

Doesn't work. This doesn't work at all. It connected...at least it says but I can't control the f6 at all

Bluetooth Failure. I bought the Bluetooth dongle in order to connect Bluetooth. For some reason the app will identify the zoom you can connect but then it brings you back to the Bluetooth screen within the app. From there there’s no ability to put in the password found on the zoom F6 so you can never use the app. I have officially purchased a $30 piece of plastic that can’t even be used as a paperweight because it’s too light.

Almost Great. Compared to Sound Devices, and other control apps for competing field recorders… this app is really good. It is missing 1 key element though, and this is easily fixed in a control app update: Using this field recorder, in conjunction with this app is great for monitoring and control, but the problem is that negates the ability to use bluetooth timecode. Either a firmware update on the F6 to allow for both to connect is required (other BT devices allow for multiple connections), or if the dongle is not multi-access capable…. have the app receive the timecode data through bluetooth, and simply update the recorder through the app. It is the same problem/limitation on the F2-BT. Please Zoom…. fix this in the app. It’s super easy and it is in the TCS SDK (They have a slate that works on iOS)
