WhoSampled Comments & Reviews 2026
Not worth the money. I paid for the full version because I thought it'd be better than the website. I still wouldn't recommend this app. One reviewer hit the nail on the head when they said the app looked like it was for an iPhone 4. It's incredibly slow and primitive and to be honest, is extremely lacking with sampling information. Half of the time they don't even have the answer I'm looking for. The Genius app usually has better information on samples and that isn't even the primary function of the app. I'd recommend that app over this one any day. And don't even think about paying for this.
Who Sampled Is Love. I first came across who sampled when I took a hip hop course in college and used it on the website for assignments. Now that there is an app available on my phone I can use it on the go, it is always helpful to know the history of music to get a better understanding of the current song. Absolutely love this tool ❤️
Mid. Imagine having to pay $3.99 to purchase offbrand shazam and then being expected to pay a $10 subscription fee just to let you use the app. You literally cannot use the app if you don’t pay for the subscription. Imo this isn’t worth considering that they make you pay for simply wanting to find the song you wanted.
Misleading. I used this app in the past when it was free I was under the impression that buying the app I would have the same service of highlighting a song and getting the info that I was looking for, but to my surprise after buying the app they want me to join a service that I’m not going to join, if it is possible can I get my money back the app is of no use to me, DW
Need To Give Clarification Of Usage. I purchased this app, to find out the origin of sample in said song. Not who sampled from the song. For example, if I’m researching whether or not an artist used a sample in their song. i.e. HER in Focus, was there a sample used in this song? I was under the impression, based your description, that this app helps you locate samples in songs you love —- not who sampled from or covered songs you love.
iPad support. The app is brilliant. Would love to have an iPad version. Currently using the iPhone version on iPad and it works but not as pretty. Any plans to port, Devs? Update: still waiting on the IPad Version guys. Please do one 🥺 Also, one feature I find indispensable on the site is the Album feature, where you can click on an album and see all the songs that have been sampled from that album. But you can’t use this on mobile sadly. It would be great if you guys can add that in. Thank you as always!
Great App. Worth purchasing!. This is the best app for finding the sources of samples in your favorite music. I only have the 5$ version, but I will bet the subscription service they provide is 5 stars as well.
Wish it was optimized for iPads. The app just like the website is great but I wish on the iPad I could get a full screen rather than the phone version. Also would be great to have the app be able to turn horizontal. Oh well hopefully on a future update it’ll happen
Must have app.. If you love music and want to know where a sample originated the this app is for you. You will be surprised and fascinated by the breath of source materials that artists have pulled samples from. Stop now and download this app now.
Great. I love this app so much! Very helpful finding the origins of songs that I love. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I think this app would be complete if you incorporated mixtapes into this app as well. There are so many mixtapes that sample a lot of artists and I would love to see where the songs sampled from. If that does get incorporated then I will change my rating to a 5 Star. P.S. you could work with other apps like Spinrilla, datpiff, and MyMixtapes and they could help you get a lot of the material
I love the concept. The listening feature can be quite inconsistent, and that’s annoying. But I do love the app when it functions. Also I couldn’t even see the text input while writing this, so, there’s that,
Bambozled. First you get us to pay $3.99 just to download the app only to discover you have pay another $9.99 to get it to work! Just be upfront and not use b.s. tactics to get money. Remember people used to pay $50 for apps they needed! Let us decide if we want to pay for what we want instead of forcing it insidiously.
Jump feature?. Is there no way to jump to the part in the song that the sample appears at like on the website? It’s brutal having to manually go to the part of the track that the sample is at, especially on a smaller device.
Freezes. Worked fine for many many years. Recently it freezes when you open it. Cant get past the main screen, and sometimes it doesn’t even load that. You can wait for 5+ minutes and get nothing, or sometimes it’ll just crash back to your phone’s home screen instead.
Slightly disappointed. This app has huge potential and I hope it becomes a really amazing thing, but right now it is kinda rough around the edges and feels underdeveloped. Still glad I have it, but could definitely be improved upon and I look forward to when that happens
Fits me to a T. I grew up reading liner notes on my father’s LPs and continued to do so when hip-hop came along. Reading liner notes enabled me to discover artists that I never knew anything about and never would have been privy to had they not been sampled. This app allows me to discover even more artists as I did when I was a kid reading liner notes. It’s a great idea. Thanks for making it available to the world.
Amazing App!. What an incredible app. Much less time will be spent now digging through music, hoping one day you’ll make the connection of the songs that share the same beat/ other similarities. Simply awesome.
Samples is where the strength is!. Just downloaded this app while hearing music mixed in tracks that sounded familiar like Real school music! It’s the best in the market. Go head get the download and start having fun!
Greatest $ i ever spent. I bought it years ago. I noticed hardly nothing from the country rappers (upchurch, calhoun, etc) Not sure if they arent updating the app. But what they do have is like an encyclopedia of music history. Just amazing.
Do Not Buy This App!. First they charge you $3.99 , and I thought ok this is an original idea plus it has some cool features. So sure let’s do it, but after I purchase it to activate those ‘cool’ features you have to pay $9.99 a month for it! Feature* = being able to ‘Shazam’ a song and have the app tell its name and where the songs samples originally came from.
You gotta pay more $$ to get what you want. It’s like $15 to get the app to work like Shazam does. I’m now looking for a refund. I’m just trying to figure out a cover song. Update Thank you the long copy and paste explanation. But it still didn’t work like advertised. So if you want to keep my money you can keep the one star.
“tap to listen” feature absolutely useless. i wrote a review before, but wanted to give the app a second chance. i wish i didn’t. so i went ahead and paid for the stupid “tap to listen” feature and quickly found out that it only detects songs that are already in the whosampled database. if someone hasn’t already reported a specific song’s samples on the website, then therefore the app can’t tell you what samples are in it. so my question is, why pay $9 for this feature when you could just shazam the song for FREE and then look up the song on the whosampled website. useless feature and i wish i could get my $9 back. just save yourself the time and phone storage, stick to the whosampled website. their site is wonderful but this app is useless.
Lacking essential features,. App is ok but is lacking in some essential features. Some are available on the website (which is also lacking) and some aren’t. - Can’t submit newly identified samples through the app. How is this not one of the main features?? They should have this feature along with the option to save drafts prior to submission - No filter or sort options for searches (genre, sample type, exclude words in search, sort by year, filter by year range etc.) - No dark mode Other comments: - The animation when switching between the song and the sampled song is so annoying. Please make it one smooth transition instead of pausing in the middle - One feature that is ridiculous is the one where they pull in audio previews for sample listings from Apple Music and they specifically state “accuracy might vary” and whoo boy, yes it does vary. On the website it’s manually entered in so the audio previews are precise and usually plays at the correct timestamp even (depends on the source).
Charge you 3.99 to charge you 10 bucks a month. The main reason I got it in the first place was to use it like Shazam. Come to find you have to pay a separate monthly fee to use that. Waste of money. Just use the website.
My Go-To for Samples. This is one of my favorite apps. I can find out just about any sample on here. I also share my knowledge on the occasion that it’s not there yet.
Garbage App! Developers are Deceptive. This is the first and last app I have ever paid for and I clearly made a mistake doing it. The app is exactly like their website which is FREE. I only downloaded this app to use their Track Identification tool which I was under the impression would be available for use after purchasing the app but what WhoSampled FAILED TO MENTION was that I had to pay a subscription of $10/month when Rap Genius has their tool available for free... all in all these people are greedy and their services shouldn’t be worth a dime. Only reason why I downloaded it was to find a sample I couldn’t find on Genius but of course I couldn’t do that
You’ll get addicted 😀. Sometimes you hear a new song that brings nostalgia from a familiar hook or melody. You have to know the source of the samples or it will bug you for hours, days, or even weeks. Look no further, WhoSampled has answers in seconds. I’ve been loving for years glad I’ll have it for years to come.
Useful & Enlightening. You’ll find yourself going down rabbit holes of discovery when using this app. Your appreciation will naturally expand to other genres after chasing the root elements of whatever infectious track you’ve recently heard.
No sound!!??. Love the website, love the database, and the app is pretty great for looking up songs and getting the info. For some reason, audio isn't working in the app. The videos play back and appear to work, but I'm hearing no sound with them on my iPhone6 -- which is kinda the whole point of the app. Bummer.
You have to pay more to subscribe to have the app “listen”. Careful... I just spent $4 to purchase and before I’ve even used it once, I must pay more to have the app “listen” to a song (something I can do for free with Shazam) to identify the sample, I have to subscribe for $10 a year on top of paying to purchase? Lame. This should have been more clear. So it’s really not $4. It’s $14. Yuck. At least give me a couple of free “listens” to see how the app works and test drive it. Without knowing if this feature works well, I’m not going to risk spending more. Plus I have a bad taste in my mouth now. I suggest you build some trust first.
Rip off. They make you pay for the app, but you don’t even get to use it until you pay the $9.99/ months subscription fee. It’s very misleading to make people pay for an app that they can’t even use until they pay again for the subscription fee so they can double dip. I refuse to support a company that operates like that on principle alone.
Use this for my radio show. I have always loved researching my favorite hip hop songs to see what they sample, and your website is my favorite tool. I loved doing it so much I made a radio show dissecting songs and playing their samples when I got to college. I called it WhoSampled. This app is so cool- the scan feature helps me find samples I didn’t even know to look for. Found so much new stuff to play on my show. Thank you WhoSampled!
Love it but it could be a lot better.. I wish it worked more like the website. Instead our using my Apple Music and stopping my music to play a sample through Apple Music. The app just feels a little lackluster compared to the site.
My favorite app…but…. I’ve used this app for a couple years and love it to death. Use it almost daily if not for sure a few times a week. Lately there has been a ton of issues regarding “network issues” and it won’t let me search anything at all, even on WiFi amd with full bars 4g. I hope it can be resolved as I use this app more than any other and absolutely love it.
This app is a tool.. For myself, being a former DJ on a sabbatical making a life, I find this app repeatedly gives me a lesson into the creativity of producers today. I find myself enjoying the new sound created and the original piece. It’s like getting your two birds with one stone, every time. Thank you WhoSampled.
Love it! But…. Needs more music added to the database. I understand it’s a probably one or a few people working on the app. Appreciate this gem regardless.
Paid for the app but can’t use the service. Bought the app to help figure out a sample, but it costs $9.99/month to use that function? It would be clearer if they just charged more for the app and included the functionality, or make the app free to download and charge more for the subscription to use it rather than wasting $3.99 to find out their isa $9.99 sub fee.
I feel dirty using this app. As stated in the title of this review, oh and I’m gonna be one of those people who says they don’t normally write reviews, but those people are lying. Anyway this app is dope but still missing a bunch of stuff. It’s up to the people who use the app to give away the samples instead of the developers doing some homework. Still I go to the record store pick up a record and immediately check to see if it’s been used. So thanks wax poetics I miss your quarterly 🤏this much!peace
Best App of its kind. Love the app. It’s grown over the years and has incorporated more music which is great!!! Have used it for over 7 years now.
Incredible App. First off, this app does exactly what it should. I never write reviews but i gotta for this one. There is literally no other platform or app like it. A must have for music lovers. Disclaimer: not every song is in their database, information is user entered similar to Wikipedia. Much love!!
MUST READ. I’d like to say that not only do you need the $3.99 to buy the app and use it for minimal things such as a few lyrics to find a song and that’s about it. You’re almost forced to spend the extra $9.99 to allow it to use your microphone to listen, pretty much the whole purpose of downloading the FREE app called “Shazam”. I tried this app thinking it could find sampled songs but if you’re into more underground music you’ll find nothing, fan-made, unreleased, leaked, unfinished, etc… You’ll only find completely published and sometimes a song name with an “unknown artist”. The last amazing feature is how after being so dissatisfied and wanting a refund, the app refuses to let me contact any staff relating to this joke of an app. I hope whoever reads this enjoys my aggravating experience and goes to soundcloud, google, shazam, anything else.
Ripoff: Beware. I just bought this app for $4 — now I can’t even use it without paying an additional $10. Almost $15 total?! The first time I tried using the app it just crashed and I have a new phone! All I wanted to do was see who sampled a couple of songs. They should inform buyers that the $4 price of the app will literally only let you download it but not let you actually use it.
Could be better. App design is looks so old. Something i would expect to see on an iPhone4. Paying for a subscription to find a song by listening to it? Shazam does that, and they do it for free. If you’re into music and want to explore more behind your favorite tracks then I guess this app is for you, IF you can tolerate the app crashing and disgusting old design. And that’s a big IF
Read This First!!!. Buying this app doesn’t let you analyze music with it. They ask you to subscribe for $10 yearly to get the feature. I know we all expected that because we paid for the app we were paying so we could advance “Shazam” songs. All it let’s you do is look up songs already in their data base which you could have done with Wikipedia for free. It’s both a ripoff and a waste of time.
Best app. My favorite app.. word up. From the new music back to the old tracks I’ve learned alot.. Or I’ll even just go straight to a favorite Old Soul song and see who sampled it & find new Hip Hop joints that I now love 💪
Best $3 every spent. But…. Can you allow copy and paste. Sometimes the video is taken down and i cant copy and paste info, and also let the music play in the background when looking for other samples Thank you. No more web browsing now i got you.
Fantastic app!!. I have been wanting an easier way to determine song/sample origins for a long time and this app is exactly that. Well worth the $3.99. A great addition to my music collection.
Best Money I’ve ever spent. This is actually my first review of an app and believe me , I have tons in my phone (uou probably do too) but no app has been so useful for my hobbies than this one. The fact that I can trace the origins of a song and the many versions and covers of it are produced its just priceless! Awesome Idea! Very happy with it :)
Awesome, fun, and educational!. I have been using the web version for quite a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and support by getting the app. Keep it up!
Discovery. For me, this is one of the best ideas ever. It is because of this webisiteand now app that I was able to discover other music genres outside of what I regularly listen to

App crashes when scanning Spotify. Seems like a great idea, but crashes as soon as you try to scan your songs in Spotify (once connected). Additionally most songs I have tried to manually search for don’t show (edm type songs). You also need to pay a subscription to use the feature that actually listens to played music. Quite annoyed I payed for an app that doesn’t work, avoid.
Simply Amazing. I will be using this app for many years to come, probably forever in fact! Absolutely brilliant and so well out together. You will learn so much about the music you love and discover some utter gems along the way. Anyone who likes music needs this app.
Brilliant database. This app is so good, massive database and has helped me find so many awesome samples. Only issue is the interface sometimes screws up and I can’t click on some links because they either go up or down behind the header and footer of the page and get hidden behind them.
Have to pay for app, then subscription! Misleading.. I was excited to use this app so I downloaded it as I had some nice reviews at $5.99. However, once I tried to activate a new account it prompted me with a subscription to run audio ID for music for $14.49 annually! Don’t compare your database to Shazam identification if you have to pay MORE to use the function I thought I was initially paying for. Really annoyed if I could refund an app I would. Very misleading :(
Misleading. Pay for the app, then pay for subscription…..
RIPPED OFF!!!. Bought the app… then they tell you to pay for an annual subscription to use it(fleece you like the scum they are) I used it to scan 3 different songs and every time is came up “source unknown” Absolute loser developers
The best. This app breaks it all down & I love learning the original samples
Subscription cost on top of app purchase cost. Beware, there is an additional cost of $14.49 per year (subscription) for you to be able to get this app to listen to a track. Also, if you use streaming service other than Apple Music or Spotify, such as YouTube Music, the other feature it boasts, about searching your tracks to find songs that feature samples of your songs does not work.
Perfect for audiophiles!. Creates a whole new level in your music library, I spent hours going through my tracks learning their roots and found some great new music in the process. Thanks!
SO MUCH GOOD MUSIC. Ok when I first starting using this app I did have some minor issues, but they were immediately rectified. This app is made for music lovers like myself and for Hip-Hop heads out there this is the app for you it's just endless and endless of samples of great classics and ones I've never heard before, and can be easily add to your personal Apple Music playlist. By far my favourite app of the last 5yrs hands down I'm just ashamed of myself for only coming across it now deserves more than 5Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I Love this app. Brilliant app keeps track of nearly every track available
Great app. For the real music lover. Hours of entertainment and the gateway to so many great songs.
Must have. So impressed by this app!! Could spend hours digging my library! Definitely worth the 3$! Cheers
Not sure. I was lead to believe this app would be able to identify songs that Shazam can’t by accessing some other database and that’s supposedly why it’s worth paying for I’ve had it for a few months now. it can’t.
Good database, however subscription based even after purchase.. Awesome database and discovery of samples used however I thought this was $5.99 to buy the app to use the microphone to identify tracks like Shazam, didn’t realise I needed a subscription for $15.99 a year to be able to do that. Didn’t see the mention of in app purchases before I bought the app.
Awesome app. Awesome app I dare someone to find a song that has been sampled more than Amen brother by the Winston's 674 known examples.
Scan doesn’t work lol. App is cool but bought it specifically for the in app scanning feature. Am I doing something wrong? Shazam picks up the same songs in seconds

Login fail. It keeps telling me my login credentials are incorrect. I have checked and double checked. Nothing seems to work. Hope it's temporary. ****UPDATE**** Issue has been resolved. Still not sure what happened. App is great! I've found many new songs for parties! My song list is considerably longer. 👍🏽
Best idea. Great tool.. Too good for words. Literally changed my life.
One of the greatest apps ever. This app is beyond helpful. It is my lifeline for discovering original breaks and samples.
One of the best purchase i made, but.... Great app, LOVE it, but some songs are missing. Also, whenever I try to login with Spotify, it shows: The login credentials you entered were wrong.
best search engine. so much references, it really brings you out knowledge about history and music, such a great chest of nuggets
Aye!. Homies! Optimize for iPad and you may have my extra star!
Great app. It has an incredibly slick design and is easy to use well worth the price
This app is amazing. I bought it yesterday I'm having fun with it since. I like the library feature and its so well done, all the info that it contains! A must
Worth the money. So much more efficient than the website, only things I would say that are missing are 1: to be able to favorite tracks 2: to be able to make lists
Essential!. Just, essential…
.... Love this app... It's resolved many a late night debate about who was the original musician
Fantastic!!. Loads of fun!! Would love to see an iPad version.
Great. Amazing! Great app love it.
Whosampled it is SICK. What an awesome app! There's lots of crap you could waste 2.99 on, but this is worth it for true audiophiles. If you get this app, use it and then complain, you're probably just another miserable hipster douchebag with a useless degree in douchebaggery drinking PBR and complaining about everything in general. ('scuse the rant but it was fun) ENJOY!!!
A Mandatory Investigative Tool. This is the only way to learn what needs to be known!! Usually. Great app!!
❤️ Grateful ❤️. Than
Great App! Well Worth it!. Great App! Worth it if your a die hard music fan and want to see where some of the ideas came about by using samples and find some cool cover songs and remixes. I would highly recommend it.
Magnificent .... Great interface and really easy to use. totally worth it and highly recommended for audiophiles !
For music lovers. This has to be one of the best apps for discovering new music and gaining knowledge in the music you know. The only thing this app needs is optimization for the iPad.
UNBEATABLE. I love this app since the website and it helped me expand my music knowledge!! now I pay attention to things above that THANK YOU WHOSAMPLED FOREVER! I want to invest in them!!!
I really regret with this app. I try to find an song from Bandcamp and it was not easy even when I am looking for this sample I can’t find on Spotify or iTunes 😔
It’s good, but Is it worth 5 Dollars?. There are no words to describe my love and affection for WhoSampled! This app is truly the apple of my eye. Nothing compares to the burst of euphoria that rushes through me every time I open this beautiful app. It’s like a slice of blueberry pie in my mouth. I truly believe it to be the height of man’s intuition. Perhaps the apex of God’s creation, among his highest blessings unto his chosen people, a testament to his goodness and divine love. This is the magnum opus of our generation. Not only does it find every song with any relation to those in your catalogue (sampled by, samples, covers, remixes)- it has all artists and every song they are ever featured on, as well as every song they’ve ever produced. You don’t understand the gravity of this- EVERY SONG KANYE HAS EVER PRODUCED. Tidily arranged in one spot for your listening pleasure. Furthermore, when you find a song you like, the app works wonderfully in tandem with both Apple Music and Spotify. You don’t have to open Spotify, search the song, and add it to your playlist. You can add it directly from the app. These are the important features but as a little bonus, you can join discussions about your favourite samples and gush over the sheer genius in production with other likeminded folk. After creating my first playlist with WhoSampled, I was swept up to such a peak of endorphins and serenity that when I finally reached a climactic point in my ecstasy, the resulting valley of emotion left me bedridden with depression for a month. They will hook me up to a polygraph and ask me if I love WhoSampled and I will say no but the needle will sputter and cough the way my heart does when I open the app. If there is one WhoSampled lover in the world, it is me. If there are billions, I am among the masses. If there are none, I am dead.
Waste of money. No jump to sample, have to create an account to use any of the features and after paying for the app they even try to charge you a yearly subscription to do what other apps do for free. I dropped 6 bucks just to return to using the website (which is awesome). Save your money.
Ripoff ($20 App!!). Beware!! This app does not cost a couple dollars. It’s fully useless without the subscription so you have to pay for that on top of the app itself. For a Canadian like me app cost $6.15 + subscription $14.55 is a lot of money for an app that doesn’t even contain most of the music I listen to. Looking into a refund because it’s honestly ridiculous unless you listen to nothing but top 40 rap maybe.
Pretty neat. Really cool to dig into your favourite songs.
They do not check new submissions.. If the song is not new, they will not check your submissions. The catalog is frozen
Expensive. Was great until you charged for streaming
Love it!. Great resource!
Mind Blown. AYEEEE Major must have for all music lovers 🙌🏼
I love this. Finding the sources of samples in songs has always been a rewarding hobby. Apart from being just plain fascinating, I've found tons of great classic music this way. I have a list I've been working on for a few years, but this is far more comprehensive than what I've got. Good interface, and a really cool way to explore the genealogy of music.
Love this app. Whoever created this app much respect
Worth it. Every penny worth

3/5. paid for it. website is better except it scrolls to the top a lot which is why i bought the app. it crashed way too much. deleted it right away. gave me so much stress it just crashed every time. also there are no videos and you can’t skip to the exact duration like you can on the website. crashing is the biggest issue though.
Great App!. Love how you can find the sample history of a track
The only app I keep open. The only sndndjdnxbdj
Charge you 3.99 to charge you 10 bucks a month. The main reason I got it in the first place was to use it like Shazam. Come to find you have to pay a separate monthly fee to use that. Waste of money. Just use the website.
I want a refund. I downloaded this app and looked around and immediately deleted it within 5 minutes from my phone. A few days later I received a receipt in the mail for a purchase. I never wanted this app. What kind of game are these guys playing. This is stealing and should be illegal.
Great app. Been using the website since it’s inception it only makes sense to have an app
The website has to many ads and it glitches. The app UI can use a redesign. ^^
Where were you in the 80’s. Greatest creation since the 808!!!
App keeps crashing when clicking on artist. App keeps crashing after clicking on an artist, unable to see tracks/songs. Can someone assist?
No audio. Why isn’t my audio working for iPhone 8? Waiting to rate
Just magnificent!!!!. This app is amazing. So helpful to find songs that used the same sample and also finding the source. Great job!!!
Great work. You all take the time to do very detailed research and implement an outstanding product. It is almost like a maze I find a song from a group like the Digable Planets ; and not only listen to the original but other songs by that original artist. Keep up the great work!
Dream tool for producers/DJs. I wish I had this years ago. A critical tool for hip hoppers of all kinds. It’s pretty impressive how comprehensive the listings are. Underground, old school, current. It’s dope.
So much knowledge!. Absolutely love this app so much. Incredible community of music aficionados with a slick UX on top. Great resource.
This app is a scam. I bought the app thinking I’ll have access to all it’s features, but I found out that you have to pay for the $10 subscription to use it. Just use the free online website instead of buying the app. It’s literally the same thing.
Pretty useful but..... Lots of broken links and I hate that the music stops anytime I want to do anything else with the app. We should be able to browse at the least while listening to music?
Ok but website is better. Just seems to be a less up to date version of what’s on the site. After using the app for a while, I found it usually to be faster just to go to the website
Samples is where the strength is!. Just downloaded this app while hearing music mixed in tracks that sounded familiar like Real school music! It’s the best in the market. Go head get the download and start having fun!
Vibe on. So useful for a music producers like me. Less headache more working on my craft. Thank you!
waste of money. you pay $4 thinking the app will find samples. Nope, you pay $4 for the app then you also have to pay $10 to find the samples, waste of money and time
Can’t even sign up. I’m a fan of the website so I thought I’d pay the $4 and give the app a try. I had multiple failed attempts to sign up even though my password was long enough, and I had letters and numbers.
Trash. Absolutely worthless. does not even come close to identifying ANY actual sample. completely dishonest service, scandalous at the least and criminal at best. This is a complete ripoff, save your $$. Even IF this service performed as it claimed, it still wouldn't be worth the 15$ cash grab. stay away!!
LOVE IT. It’s really one of my favorite apps. An absolute must have for any audiophile or even someone who is remotely interested music.
Love this app!!!!!. I am able to discover new music through samples used in songs I’m listening to.
Very disappointed. Super disappointed to learn you have to not only pay to download the app, but also to have it listen to a song. What’s the point? This app is stupid; save your money and search online.
reply. Best thing since shazam
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. WhoSampled is totally unrivaled in what it offers music lovers, and is just one of my all-time favorite apps in general.
Great resource for music history. Can fibd gems
Indispensable. An amazing database of samples and will be a regular, go to app. One of my 3 best all time apps!
Best Music App. I have found so many cool older bands to listen to after checking out WhoSampled. Like Bob Dylan said, “The good borrow... the great steal.” Find out who they’re stealing from w this app
Buy this app!. This is literally my favorite app. Love listening to new music and discovering the samples.
Changed from Samsung. Came from samsung to iPhone . Kinda mad I had to buy it with iPhone but you get your money’s worth... FIX THE BUGS SO I CAN BUMP THE ORIGinals on my apple playlist PLEASE Please Please
I love this app sooo much. I love DJ music, old school hip hop, Motown, R&B, downtempo turntable sampling, Soul and house, so this app hits all my endorphins. Highly recommend.
Non negotiable. This app is a must-have if you are a music lover
Outstanding reference material. Unbelievable how many times I’ve referred to this asset to reveal whosampledwho. Five stars
Can’t skip straight to sample. i don’t wanna skim through an entire song to find the sample let me click a button to automatically go to the sample
Iibray of Great music. Everytime I go on the app I find great artist and musicians of the past that hip hop producers sample from.... The music of the 70's era is the best ever all genres.
Great App. I have been using this app for 5 years now... it’s useful for me because I love music and I believe it’s good to know where a songs originated from.
Wont play. Lately when i press play it won’t play at all… like it won’t do anything
Doesn’t work as advised. Don’t pay for this app that doesn’t do anything more than the website does. I paid the full price but the app cannot give me the DNA of the samples I submitted.
Simply The Best. This is the de facto best app for sample references. Been using it for years. Helped me to find and appreciate original music and artists and new music as well.
Recommendations. It’d be an awesome musical experience if the app could recommend a playlist/songs based on your music library.
Dopest app on the market!!!. Always accurate and on point!
OMG. I love this everyday of my life it’s about diggin in the crates and finding where u from and who you are musically
Undescribable. this allows me to learn, study, and deep dive into the creative explosions of the human brain. Thumbs up
Best app ever created. Loooooooooooooove this app. Talk about useful I use it all the time
Music lovers should download this. Fun way to discover the genealogy of modern music.
Ugh got fooled like the rest.... Bought this in hopes of using their Shazam type feature but then that’s a yearly subscription. This app is exactly like their free website.
Professional or Affectionado. “Who sampled Who” is a MUST HAVE for any enthusiast worth their salt…! Period , Point, Blank…!
Wow. You have to buy the scan feature too. I paid for the app under the impression that I could listen for songs but you can’t use the feature unless you buy it for $10
