Disconnecting. Works great for about 20 secs then disconnects and I have to close the app and reopen it to connect again. Apple Mac Pro 13 with M1 chip and iPhone 11 iOS 14.4

Is starting to look better!. EDIT!!!!! Hahahaha. I must retract from my previews review… it just failed and crashed the app on my Mac. LOL. Please fix 🥹😅 First I must say that of all the years I’ve been using the app, there was just a small period of time where it failed… A lot! But with that out of the way, I must say that on the last 3 years, it’s been working pretty good. Today, I’m at a party and the app updated with me not noticing. I just connected it and I must say; it is actually working very well and is looking a lot better. Very responsive, no lag and can be used as a virtual controller in certain easy gigs. Thank You Virtual DJ for finally updating the app. It was long due, but thank you!

Definitely Works. I’m not one to say anything or review products but this absolutely works with my stuff. I’ve got a 2012 Apple Mac and an iPhone X and it still works and I mention this to those still out there looking into getting this now. I was really weary on purchasing it because of all the other reviews but I’m glad I did because I don’t have any problems with it. One suggestion would like to make a suggestion if Atomix reads this is that it could perhaps use a 3rd and 4th deck selection for to me it only shows 2 and I mix usually with 4 simultaneously. Other than that it’s good.

Good at what it does. Ok so I'm a victim of advertising. This is Not, I repeat NOT a stand alone app this is a method for a Bluetooth connected control device. This app won't even activate unless it is connected to your computer as a proxy controller I find it very passable. Unfortunately I had to download the virtual dj home version as it will not function with the le version I already owned. Just be aware this is not it's own app I would love a full virtual dj app for IPad that I could hook into my decks in place of a laptop or desk top that would be convenient... No other apps seem to cover all the functions of virtual dj so it would be very nice to have.

Horrible!. I was told to go try it out for a gig I was playing at and it surprised me. It worked for about 5 minutes before the connection got interrupted. I have to keep going back and forth to start the next song on my computer while I kept trying to figure out why it kept disconnecting. For an app that has NO FREE TRIAL and is $10 on the app store, it STILL needs a lot of work done to it. My buddy looked into it, who builds apps like this all the time, had said the person who built this app must have not known what he/she was doing. It's a remote app that should work like a remote, yet it acts like the batteries in that remote are dead half the time. I would really like my money back for this app. I've gotten rid of the app since I first got it. No point in having a useless app take up space on a phone that was $10. Don't buy into all the 5 star ratings, since people were PAID to say that it's a great app.

Needs serious fix but ok when it works.. It's anice app but for $10 it would be nice if it didn't crash every single time you use your phone for something else or if your phone turns itself off. It gets to be a real hassle to reset or restart the app constantly. I got it to teach dance classes so I wouldn't have to go all the way to the sound system every time I wanted to start stop or adjust the music. But now because it crashes so often I have to stand there fiddling with the app to get it restarted. At the end of the day not worth the hassle. It's faster to just walk over to the sound system. If they could fix that problem I would raise the stars to at least four. The actual virtual DJ software on my computer is a completely different story. It's probably my single most used and favorite application on my computer.

Virtual DJ remote. Works just fine for me. What are you all talking about. I don’t have problems with it. No I am not paid to write this review. It’s either you are using crappy Internet or your computers are messed up or whatever device you’re using.

Does not work. Who do I need to talk to about getting my money back? I just brought a brand new IPad Pro 12.9 I just brought this app and it doesn’t work. The app want even open

Good, but. First of all, to those of you who can't get it to work, you need to plug your device into the computer that has virtual dj on it,go to config, click on iphone/ipad select your device, and click authorize. Also, this app is ok, but i would like to be able to stream my virtual dj from the computer,to my iPad so i can hear it anywhere in the house, not just on the computer. I use the free home edition of dj and I don't have any fancy bluetooth surround or whatever so I can only hear it on the computer. It,would be cool if I could run it on my computer upstairs, while streaming it to my iPad downstairs in my room. But seriously, great work Atomix!

Works Great. It works great with VirtualDJ wirelessly! Very helpful tool. I also like some of the different skins that you can use. People need to stop writing 1 star reviews because they think it doesn't work. It only does what you tell it to. You need to click configure in vdj and go to iPhone/iPad and click enable. Your device will show up, click connect and then it works like a charm. You can have more than one device connected too. Great helpful app!

Fair App Could Use Some Improvements. Works as intended, I can leave the booth and still have basic controls. However with that being said I have people come up all the time and requesting songs and the app doesn’t even have a basic function to search for a specific song through your library..you have to sit there and search from folder to folder. It’s just easier getting back up to the booth then thumbing through the browser on this. Also it would be nice if they added another Tab for your playlist so you can actually see what is going to play next on the automix. I hope Atomix reads this and takes it into consideration for the next update. 4 of 5

Thank You Sooooooo Much!!!. Been waiting for the multi-touch update for ages!!!! Everything is awesome... May go to the forums to figure out all features later.... I played with a few skins... I also did too much maybe? I uploaded a skin used for the desktop.... To my surprise, it worked..... Not 100% everything but operable... However I did have to uninstall and reinstall the app to go back to the original skin.... I really didn't care about that.... I'm just grateful for this wonderful update.... I'm sure others will find some minor bugs later on but just know, this customer right here is extremely happy!!!

Does what it says. I think in all the years I've had iTunes, I've given maybe 2 reviews of Apps. I have to say. This program does exactly what it says. It took me a few minutes to figure out why it wouldn't connect. I then went into the config panel of VDJ and realized that I had to enable the remote connection. After I did that, it worked flawlessly. Sure, a little note from the designer at the top of the store would have been helpful, but it isn't rocket science. It allows me to walk away from the computer and mingle and still have full control of what I need to make things happen. I applaud the developer for making such a helpful tool. It's pretty similar to a remote app I have for pro presenter. Very functional and very helpful. Thanks. For those having issues, make sure you open your config panel and slide over to iPhone/iPad tab and enable and when it sees your device. Select ok. Male sure your also on the same IP or wireless network and that you have wifi turned on on your phone (if you're using an iPhone. I sometimes turn off wifi so that I can surf outside of a network that has way too many filters. ). How this helps. Developer...only thing I can think of to add would be the ability to use iPhone as a cue device. That could be EPIC.

What a ripoff!. I had such high hopes for this app. I’m sad/mad to say that this app doesn’t work! I tried to connect to my laptop version and after many, MANY attempts, I finally gave up. I tried to contact customer support but it only redirected me back to the main website. I regret that I got ZERO usage out of this app.

Needs and update. Remote reverts to old remote and is not compatible with vdj 2021

Does not work. I downloaded and payed for the app to use with my computer when I have to step away, it won’t sync up. This is a waste of time and money. I demand a refund. To others, don’t waste your time or money on this app.

Great potential please update it!!!!. After downloading this app I was excited to have wireless remote control from the other side of the room. But due to the limitations of not having the whole Virtual DJ software on your phone I can understand why some people wouldn’t like it. However I still use it as it allows me to have a different approach to DJ’in. For the developers, don’t give up! If anything you could change at least allow the crossfading and ease of syncing songs with each other. With those features I would be good to go.

Doesn’t sync. It gives 2 instructions on what to do if your phone and laptop don’t sync but that didn’t work either. App must be out of date or something.

Does Exactly what I Needed!. I’ve been using VDJ for about 15 years as a mobile Wedding/Club/Dance DJ. I knew this app existed but for some reason never got it until 2020. I am able to connect my laptop to my iPhone hot spot and pair easily. The app allows me to pull songs from my side list easily to the que deck. I now don’t feel rushed to grab a drink or run to the bathroom and still control my mix. Worth the $9.99!

Dosent work. Dosent connect to my computer at all I’ve tired everything, makes no sense I would like a refund

I've been using VDJ for 6 years and a DJ for 13.... Pro's: better than a mouse and keyboard to control VDJ Basic and easy to use..good for beginners Syncs up (for the most part) with no issues Cons: NOT MULTITOUCH (HUGE issue) NOT for PROS...add Multitouch and it's gonna be great Loading skins (with a Mac at least) can prove to be problematic Yes...it does as advertised (2 1/2 stars for that). If you've been a DJ of most any kind that is accustomed to an actual MIDI controller or turntables...prep yourself for frustration. IT NEEDS TO BE MULTITOUCH...and sorrowfully it IS NOT (deduct 1 1/2 stars). If you have been using a mouse and keyboard to control VDJ you'll find this app useful to do *simply* that. It's better than the keyboard shortcuts and using a mouse (add 1 star...mind you thats if you're using a single line audio out setup). Other wise the VDJ company needs to step up their IOS game on this one...TouchOSC is really good save for I haven't been able to get the two to play together. Maybe both companies should join forces. ***Bottom Line:*** VDJ take a note from TouchOSC and make this thing multitouch but keep the easy connection setup you have (if possible)

Why is not on Vision Pro?. This is the perfect companion to test the functionality of the remote. Be the pioneer on the virtual world and the physical one. Let’s goooo…. Just authorize the app for us to test it.

Sub-par. I downloaded the app just as an extension. It worked well at first and now it keeps going to what seems like a broken app or an old version and it doesn’t work. I have to close it and reopen after about 35 seconds.

Searching track. You have to check track by track. Please try to upgrade this function.

Meh. Bought this app assuming that I would get the functionality I see in the “previews “ but I only get the first screen no more pages. Kind of disappointed. Usually u get everything the preview shows...feel like I want my money back

Be Warned, check your compatibility!. I am an amateur in music mixing. I do Noy work professionally with music, and based on that I downloaded VirtualDJ, and foolishly I followed the advertisement to purchase VirtualDJ Remote. After downloading and purchasing—I find that because I have a RODECASTER PRO in my setup, VirtualDJ makes the arbitrary decision that I am a professional DJ and as such, boldly announces the free version of VirtualDJ will not work. So all you true armatures out there DO NOT purchase this and think it will work with VirtualDJ. Because if you have anything that VDJ thinks is pro-gear, you will be blocked. Advice to developers—tell us what YOU YHINK qualifies as an amateur or a Professional, and save us the PIA of having to find out the hard way.

Wonderful App!. This app is totally wonderful and for those who want’s to buy this app, just ignore the negative reviews. Also, always remember to check to see if the devices and Virtual DJ software that you are using is compatible with this app, if not, then check for an update. If all else fails, go check your Wi-Fi connection. P.S. I am not a paid reviewer.

Fantastic App!!. As a mobile DJ, this app is awesome! I'm not sure why other reviewers are having a hard time getting this app to synch with Virtual DJ. I have synched with my iPhone, iPod touch and my iPad. I've even selected and uploaded new skins to all my devices. Just make sure that both your PC/MAC and portable device are using the same wifi. I'm also using a legal registered version of VDJ Pro. I only wish I could use the app to DJ directly from my portable device and that I could play with the app without having to run my Laptop. Also, I have't figured out how to search the library. I can go from folder to folder and scroll through files but I have to be looking at the PC monitor to see what's going on. It would be nice to have a window to see files and folders. Other than that, the app is definitely worth the money. This is not a kiddie app.

Good, but needs some changes!. Cool app, works instantly with my computer and connected right away. When you first open the app, it searches for virtual Dj. I went into the config tab on my laptop and clicked on the iPhone tab and selected my phone and it connected and worked in sync perfectly. I am disappointed however that there is no search in the browser. I mean really? There could at least be a list to scroll through rather than some arrows. If you don't have time to flip through your library without searching then this app isn't for you. But otherwise, the app is great to use when stepping away from the mixer for a bit, and fun to mystify the crowd by continuing to play music with nobody in the booth.

Not bad. This app only has a couple problems. the first being that the controls are a tad unresponsive sometimes, althought this can largely be blamed on the touchscreen itself and not the app. The second problem is that the iPad appears to disconnect from the virtual dj program running on the computer randomly every couple minutes or so. Simply closing an reopening the app reconnects it, but it gets a little annoying having to do that so often. Other than these two problems the app runs great, now I'll get to go dance around with people when I dj parties.

Update. Developers can you please update this app!!!!!

Don’t buy it! Doesn’t sync, freeze my computer!. I paid $10 and it doesn’t sync and freezes my computer. It’s a shame because I wanted to be able to change things from afar just in case I have to leave the dj booth but it doesn’t absolutely nothing. Look at the reviews, they clearly have a bunch of people paid to claim it works but the stars they get and the amount of downloads and reviews given do not match. Save your money, the program itself is buggy right now too!

Buggy screen keeps appearing please fix. After using the app for a few minutes a buggy screen appears and doesnt allow me access to the app. Please fix i paid for this!

It Works. The app truly allows one to remotely control the virtual DJ program given that you are on a wifi network and have authorized the connection on virtual DJ program on your pc. I bought this app with the goal in mind of being able to use this app at work, I work in a skating rink and we use virtual DJ as our main program on the pc for playing music. I rate this app as 4 stars only because of the ability to be able to remotely control virtual DJ it but so far I have come across at least two things that I feel needs attention and hopefully be fixed with an update. 1) A search function would be great. 2) Fixing the problem of when the remote virtual DJ app disconnects from the pc due to inactivity I believe. When this occurs the app somehow forces our virtual DJ program to return to previous song already played and just repeats two of them over and over while virtual DJ on your pc is frozen up. The only way I've found to fix this is to completely close the app on your mobile device and your pc should unfreeze shortly after. If these two thing could be addressed with an update in the future than the app would certainly be be a 5 star app worth the price.

Great app!. It synchronizes with VirtualDJ and has a host of skins that are available for various different functions. Easily downloaded and changed from within VirtualDJ itself. Great control can leave the booth and control just about anything. I definitely recommend reading the section in the manual first.

A waste of money. The app didn’t work for me… tried connecting wirelessly, didn’t work. I even tried to enter ip address manually, also didn’t work. A waste of 10$

Does what it says, But Could you ?. I love the remote, so far no issues at all, just a suggestion though, it looks too plain for me, I wish you could implement some nice skins... that would be a game changer for sure

I LOVE IT!. I love the APP, it was very easy to setup with virtual DJ. Another great Idea by Atomix! Make sure you have the following setup... 1) I made sure my virtual DJ was updated to the latest version. 2) Make sure Bonjour is installed onto your laptop, Bonjour is installed by Itunes so if your not sure that bonjour is installed reinstall Itunes. 3) Make sure both your laptop and Ipad / Iphone are connected on the same WIFI network 4)I started Virtual DJ Pro on my computer, clicked on CONFIG>>>Iphone/Ipad 5) Checked the Enabled box, my Ipod Touch was showing up under devices, I just selected my Ipod and clicked the connect button. Off I was mixing on my Ipod Touch, I think the screen on the Ipod Touch is a bit to tinny but I bet this APP would be amazing on and Ipad since it has a much larger screen.

Legit VDJ copy still no connection fix!. I bought this to use with my LEGIT LEGAL VirtualDJ Pro program and legal iPhone (not jail broken) I really loved the idea of this remote. However. It bumps off of the connection so frequently that I spend my entire DJ events babysitting the iRemote. Tech support will try to convince you that it's "so simple" to fix. RIDICULOUS! They couldn't help me get it running upon purchase. I MYSELF finally figured out after a few hours of trouble shooting, to reset my modem. That worked! However, I don't have access to modems at my gigs. I did get it up and running at my main gig, but after 5 minutes it had a connection error. Tech support always stresses to have VDJ up and running before starting the iRemote software. HOWEVER, the resolution that I found was to have the phone software running and searching for a connection, then going to options in VDJ and un-checking "enable" and then check marking it again. Sets it every time. Why am I complaining then? Because during a 4 hour gig this buggy, glitchy, crappy software lost connection 23 times! The worst part about the connection issue is that fixing it can only be done at the computer. HELLO? I have a remote running because I'm not near my computer! FIX THIS SOFTWARE, PLEASE! OF ALL THE NERVE TO CHARGE $10 FOR THIS FAULTY PIECE OF ****!!!

An Amazing App That is Neglected.. This app is or rather, WAS amazing when it first launched. However, it has been neglected over the years by the developers & is slowly becoming obsolete with the latest version of iPad OS as of writing this (15.1). Waveforms fail to appear at times, & the default skin looks dated on newer model iPads & the library view leaves a lot to be desired. I’m giving it a 3 star review because the functionality of the app is wonderful & is still very rock solid in stability. I also see the potential of this app as well if the dev team would just give it the love & care it deserves. If there is a massive overhaul I will come back & update my review here.

Well Worth The Wait. Been using Virtual DJ now for 12 months and I can seriously say it is the BEST DJ Software on the Market. As soon as I heard there was a controller app coming out I was drooling. Finally I can wipe my mouth clean, it's HERE. Owned it for 15 minutes and this amazing App worked flawlessly from the moment it downloaded. Synced it up to my MacBook and was using both the iPhone and iPad to control the VJ Beast and the VJ Beats. Only hiccup, which I am sure they'll get onto immediately, was the skin transfer. I tried to send the zipped MixLab skin across to the iPad but it threw up an error. Apart from that Perfecto, I can't wait to use it in the real world, tomorrow night which is a FRIDAY. TGIF and more to the point TGIVDJ. One other slight hiccup on the first connect up on the iPad was the browser window remained blank, whereas on the iPhone the browser was perfect. Will check it now to see if it rights itself. Damn I've got 5000 characters remaining, excellent, that gives me room for updates. Update 13.01.11 Connects fine, but when trying it out for a song or two on the iPad and iPhone the main VDJ program shuts down on the computer. Not good for live DJing when there is a pumping dance floor that's for sure. Keep the iPad connected to a spare channel on your mixer mixer with iTunes on hand for a backup as it is a good parachute, as long as The Way You Make Me Feel or Place Yours Hands is cued up. Needs to be more stable for professional use in a mobile environment. Close range fine as long you have the parachute ready.

Too Easy. This is too easy. All you do is turn on Virtual DJ, go to preferences, select iPhone/iPad tab and select connect. It works immediately and while song selection is a little tedious, if you don't have a huge folio, it's great. Play songs in the club from the bar, on your phone. Brilliant! The iPad app is even easier!

Doesn't work. Won't find my iPad, worst app waste of $10 don't buy

its alright. BUT IT CAN BE BETTER! :). now i have vdj. great love it. my computer is wireless and cable. when i run the app while the computer is connected by router it doesnt work!! once i make the computer go wireless the app finds my vdj software. 1. MAKE IT SO THE APP CAN FIND EVERY COMPUTER THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE ROUTER (wireless and lan cabled.) once connected sound goes out from my laptop. can you make it from the ipod/iphone/ipad speaker. Make it so you may do it OFFLINE, so you may show off your skills in front of your friends when outside from home. Once in offine mode or connected to the vdj software you may choose to play song from your ipod music library. and lastly, the loop button doesnt loop. thank you virtual dj. :D

EQ Mixers. Works perfectly with my computer, but could you please add EQ mixers other wise I might as well just use my computer to mix all the songs :(

Complete rubbish. Don't bother buying this. Absolute rubbish. Cannot multi touch and it is Kathy as hell. Utter waste of money.

A stellar effort. I really don't understand people bashing this app. Once upon a time it was kinda poor admittedly, but since they updated it for VDJ8 and implemented browsing it's just wonderful. As for people complaining of connecting issues, I gotta say I blame the user. I have this on my iPad and iPhone, plus when I catch up for friends for a bit of a music night we all use it, often on both iPhone and iPad. Never had a single issue....ever.

Can't connect. Would appreciate a how-to or troubleshooter for Mac. The virtualdj forums are full of pc users and tips but little help for Mac users. I have done various port range forwards and even put phone and laptop in DMZ on same wifi network but it still won't find the device.

Bit hard to connect. It is a bit hard to connect but when connected it works perfectly

ipad needs multi touch capability. Works fine as an iphone app, however desperately needs multi touch on the ipad.

Amazing. This app is an amazing application.. Works perfectly on wifi! So genius of virtual dj to have created that!! The only one litle problem is that u have to be connecte to wifi and not every single hall in the world has that! Its too bad it doesnt work threw bluetooth... Its still a great app! And when i was walking around the hall, people were asking me whos controling the system? I replied saying me, showing them my ipad with the 2 decks, felt pretty cool!!!

Really bad. You can't fade/ touch the scree with two fingers DONT BUY

Browser. The browser is not efficient. Its too hard to get from song to the other. You should fix that. And its not working well with the WiFi ... Really not impressed.

Unless for my needs. I was under the impression this would be a fully functioning extension of the desktop app, so I could leave a room and continue to mix. Nope. This is only if your in the same room. The headphone jack on my iPad does NOT output the sound. So better hope your within listening distance. Aka no going for smokes etc. Also there's no wave form display, no search feature for tracks, lags allot and isent very precise.. The list goes on. Save your $ it's not worth it.

Great App!!! If you use Virtual DJ. Tip: when you cant find a reliable wifi connection, use your iPhone to personal hotspot your computer and iPad, use the iPhone's wifi connection to sync the computer's virtual dj to the iPad or iPod's virtual dj remote. Now your using reliable wifi connection. I am a mobile DJ, This is a useful tool for ceremonies if the bride and groom don't want you in the pictures. Also if you want to walk around but still need to control the music.

It's ok. Update so the app works over Bluetooth and not just wifi networks.

Pure extortion. Do not download. It is completely useless

Good tool in theory but not always reliable. I love the idea of this tool for virtual DJ especially if you are attending a dinner as a guest and would like to sit in the audience and use it for turning up and down the volume for announcements and speeches while playing background music. I find the program is glitchy, if your iPhone goes to sleep it has trouble reconnecting to the the computer again. Sometimes you have to close and reopen virtual DJ for it to reconnect. I tried setting my phone to never sleep but had the same issue after it ran for a while or if the wireless connection drop for a second and came back up it would not always automatically reconnect. Unless you are running to computers most of the time it's not possible to shut down virtual DJ and reopen it again in the middle of a function. And other downside is the ability to browse between your virtual folders and add songs is very difficult and sometimes not possible there's just not enough functionality. I would also like to see a skin that is similar to the computer version where both players are on the same screen without have to switch back-and-forth between deck A and B. The ability to change the order of your playlist would be nice to. The theory behind this app is great but more time has to be put into its development. Taking into consideration it is a Phone app and will not have the same capability of standing in front of your computer, it would be nice if the app was a little more user-friendly and more functional. Sometimes I also have issues with it trying to run in version 7 mode instead of version 8. Although the option is there to uncheck not to detect version seven sometimes you have no choice because it will not pick up version eight. The app just seems too unreliable at this point.

I bought this app from the iPad store for $10 and still not able to open them app on my iPad. There. It wasn't worth the money cause I'm still not able to access the app even though I paid for it with my credit card.

Need an update. This app is pretty cool but, please, add a search box please. My music library has 20 000 mp3, when i'm searching for a song it's very long to find the title.

Lost connections all the time. This app works ok, but you need to pay for the ability to change skins. The bigger issue is that it would always loose connection with my computer when I left a song playing. Definitely not worth 10 dollars.

Awesome and very practical. I used Virtual Dj on my laptop for one than a year before using this app. I knew all the feature, Etc. Know that I have the App I can go all around the place switching/mix song, make loop, effect ... I love it. Very, very worth the 10$.

Search Needed. The app links with my PC great every time, but we need a search area. Way to many songs to scroll trough!!

It's great. I'm on VDJ 8 Pro, I have confirmed and enabled my phone with my PC in settings and it works great.

Good work. Wow great app best yet good work vdj I am a pro user and think this is amazing A few things it could use is cue in head phones and iPod control to mix while away from the computer on the bus or any where then this would be the best app ever and ( multi touch) Is a big thing the needs to be fixed and one last good feature would be a chaos pad.

Not great. What a waste of 10 dollars

Terrible interface. I bought this in hopes of actually making good use of virtual dj. Its pointless use software unless you have a controller. Great idea, and the app works fine. But the controlls you are given are almost useless. No eq's?!?!?! I feel I wasted $10. And to make matters worse it doesnt seem to work with touchosc either. If they make a better interface on a future update I will be happy. Until then, 1 star.

Works as advertised!. Quite pleased with this purchase! Had no issues connecting to my VDJ 7.3. Finally, I can leave my decks to go for a smoke without being panicked!

Refund please. I am unable to rate this app as it never opened for me to see how it works, however, I Had to default and click on one star in order for my review to be submitted. May I have my money back please! $10.00 can by me an entire album or a book that I can open!!!

VDJ Remote. This app works fine on VDJ 8 on my windows 8 laptop. You go into config/remote and enable device, that's it! The app controls VDJ in real time. This works great in regular wifi mode. I can also connect if I use my iphone as a wifi hotspot, but for some reason the app doesn't respond at all when doing this.

Wast of time & $. Waste of $10, please refund

Bugs. A few bugs have to be fixed . In the display where the video plays master volume appears twice in some skins

No Skins unless you Buy Virtual DJ Pro. So I Paid $10 for this app, and you can't even unlock the iPad Skins? What a Rip off. The default Skin is useless. And the website won't let me download skins with the Virtual DJ Home Edition. If you're not going to let us download skins for at least the iPad app, then this app should be Free. Do Not Buy if you're planning on using the VDJ Home edition. Update: I just also realized yogi doesn't support multitouch. So you can't use the fader and scratch the table at the same time. What a joke.

Pure crookery. This app does not work with a PC. Very dishonnest. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT It should be removed from the Apple Store.

Terrible. Just horrible. No mid/high/low adjustment. No freaking multi touch! The lack of these two important features alone make this a waster. Let alone the horribly sensitive jog wheel. Lack of a bpm nudge (that the software has, thus making it superior to using this). Honestly...kinda want my 10 bucks back. Traktor may be getting another customer after this.

Terrible.. Cannot get this app to work. Have tried all of the suggestions/help on the developers site to no avail. Very disappointing.

Needs serious improvements. Basically works ultrafine and you need 7.0.2. Now the bads: i want my skin, No docs to adapt mine, crash everytime you pushed a bad resolution, need to reinstall and the worse; NO F ** email support for iOS devices! C'mon!!

Need instructions. I couldn't get this app to start up on my iPad. Everytime I click on it, nothing happens. The Virtual DJ program was started up on my computer on the same network. It is very frustrating.

Very good app. This is what I been waiting for quite sometime. This app allows me to take a brake away from the computer and still let's me be in control of the music and the party.

Lacking very important features!. This is a great app and very easy to use once installed. It has some awesome potential but really needs a few more features. * multitouch is a must on a midi controller, and the fact that this feature is not included limits your abilities ten fold. * there should be more skins. * hot cues would be a nice touch * the fact that one cannot search is not a big deal, this is to act as a midi controller, therefore multi-touch is what really needs to be added. Apart from that, the app is fun and has some great potential. I gave it two stars because the multi-touch feature needs to be added ASAP.

Does not work for me. I have iphone 5s and have been trying to connect it to my VDJ 7.4.1 Pro, but it does not work. I actually had home version which was 7.0.x which I decided to upgrade hoping that it should work, but it does not work. I using MacBook pro. Also my ContentUnlimited is not working. I can search some songs but when I try to play them I get stream unavailable. Can somebody help.

Disappointing. I bought this to 'use as a virtual scratch turntable' as they claim in the description. Well the very high latency and lack of multitouch make that claim somewhat laughable. Also it seems that your $10 doesn't buy you the right to change skins...unless I'm missing something? A single-deck skin may make this more viable as a scratch tool, but for now they should stop making that claim.

The app is not working.. Hello dear admin and developer. I am using iPhone 6s Plus and I’ve bought this app and now since I download it am unable to open it since then I've been in a home screwed up my $9 dollar? Please kindly update the app for us running the latest version iOS/ can also use it because the app is not free as you cannot easily uninstall the app and reinstall it back again because is not a free version. Someone can't easily lost out is fund. Please kindly convey.

Good start…Great Potential. I agree with other reviewers that a search function and/or full drag and drop browser would improve it immensely, but it is great as a basic remote control. NOTE to Yannerzz: go into the Configuration tab on upper right of Virtual DJ skin, click on i-Phone/I-Pad tab, and click enable.

iRemote iAwesome!!!. First off... Awesome App! For those that don't have Virtual DJ Pro and are complaining that the app doesn't work, umm d'uh, you have to have a legit copy of the desktop app running in order for this app to find and use. Both must be on the same wifi network or connected via wifi in an Adhoc connection if no wifi network is available. Works beautifully and I will use it a lot for grand introductions or for bathroom breaks lol. :)

Love vdj remote. Connected instantly once the settings on my vdj MacBook were set to use iPhone. It's nice to be able to control my DJ from anywhere in the hall. Couldn't find the actual vdj app for iPhone, there is one for iPad free and I love it ;)

When Are You Going To Update? Refund?. I really like the idea of having a remote, especially when my computer is on a mezzanine or something like that and I want to be with the crowd. I spent money on this because I thought it would be a good purchase. It constantly shut down and glitches. I would gladly take a refund or an update to the app!

Nice layout on the iPad. Works great and very responsive. Would be 5 stars if you could actually search or at least see the full list of songs to select from. Impossible to find a song by flipping though 10,000+ songs one at a time. Would also be nice if you could actually see the playlist (songs in queue).

Agree with most.... Does what it's supposed to do, hook up either with Wifi or Ad Hoc if you don't have wireless. What I agree with most is that it needs tweaking, graphics and search capability. Definitely practice at home and not at a gig or you'll look pretty stupid. Beat matching is cool with it too once you get the hang of it. Awkward with an iPhone, don't have an iPad but bet it would be a lot easier to navigate on it.

NOT WORTH $10. This app is so picky and doesnt offer alot of options. Getting synced to your computer is so stressful. Went to go manually put in the IP address and the app and computer program crash at the same time. When i finally got it synced to my phone. I tested it out. MAJOR COMMUNICATION DELAY. I would do something in the phone and the conputer response would take up to a minute to do what i wanted. Also if your venue is big forget using this app. U cant go more than 3 steps away from your computer and then the app crashes and u have to start at square one with syncing the programs again.

vdj remote rocks. Great addition to my DJ tool box. Create playlist to overcome the lack of a search function. Buy an inexpensive wireless router instead of using an ad- hoc connection. You will be rewarded with better response, more range, and higher security.

Update severely needed!. This app has never been amazing but if you would do a small update with Apple Watch features like song list or run time on songs I bet you would make a lot of DJs happy. Give them a little heads up when they are on breaks and such. Complications like song title or run time would be ideal. Will update to 5 stars if anything big changes.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST APP EVER. WOULDN'T OPEN. I bought this stupid app because I bought a Numark controller, but it wouldn't open on both my iPad and iPhone. I don't remember the last time I wrote a review for anything and you can imagine my frustration. On top of that APPLE wouldn't respond to my email and now I've been on hold for about 65 minutes and still counting. Save yourself from the heartache and buy a different app.

The perfect app. I used this app for the first time yesterday when doing a wedding and realized how much time and money it saved me. No more having to run back and forth to the computer to add songs or raise/lower volumes it gives you complete control to he out making sure everyone is having a great time. The only downfall is that it requires wifi so i had to add a router in the gear bag but very well worth it.

Good App. Excellent app. Works fine for me. Yo need a compatible CD player and available wifi. Wish it would work with Bluetooth or something when a network isn't available.

Sorry, but needs better connectivity options.... I spent the full $10 for this app and I expect it to work. I was severely dissappointed to found out that they obviously did not put much thought into the connectivity. The least you could do is give a set of instructions on how to connect it, as well as make it more clear cut. I have seen it used on an iPad and it works as described, when it works...

No problems. After reading the reviews I wasn't too sure about this app. But after downloading this app and using it for the first time I had no problems. It's good for when I have to run to the bathroom between songs.

Needs Improvement ASAP. I found it easy to set up and sync to my lap top. It needs a song search feature across folders and a window that shows your playlist with the capability of rearranging the song order. Without this features you can't really work away from your computer and it defeats the purpose and the $9.99 I paid for it was a waste. Make it functional so that one can actually work away from computer and I will rate it 5 stars.

Love this app but..... My reason for them but it's because of the factor that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus just came out I really appreciate it if you would update this app for landscape mode it would make it a lot easier to get from board to board thank you

Virtual DJ Iphone App. Not too bad... For $10 tho it should have a little more control and at least EQ options.. How about an option to maybe use the phone mic as a dj mic while in the audience.. The browser tab could be more user friendly and even include a search option. It doest appear to transition sampler names to the iphone sampler controls as well. I like the app but it needs some work...

Good start but needs work. Not worth the money at this point. I don't recommend buying this app until they take care of some key issues. This is a great extension of the software on the computer but lacks multi-touch and other remote functions. It makes it hard to cue up and use the crossfader, since they work together most of the time during mixing. Also the screen does stop responding often. REQUESTS! Using the monitor out on the iOS device would be a great feature if they could integrate that and treble, mid, bass control.

Search feature. The overall application is great for the IPhone. However, the next version needs to include a search feature across the music library. It's very difficult to browse song by song in each folder. Let's see what happens in the next version of Virtual DJ.

Waste of money. I love this software & have used it on my laptop to make alot. I gladly spent the $10 for the app but for days now it's been stuck on "trying to locate" or "trying to reconnect" so I can't use it. I wouldn't have bought it had I known it would do this. Why make an app available if it doesn't work? This better be fixed soon

Read before you buy. This is not a program that will play music. This is a remote for the program Virtual DJ. You must have Virtual Dj, a computer AND a wireless connection for it to work. At this stage the program is limited to a few features but for what it does it works great. I agree that the program should be free for pro users but understand that programming entails time and money.

Works great but.... This app does exactly what it's supposed to do, though it's very awkward for song searching and the graphics are dull. I hope Atomix expands the eye candy and capabilities of an otherwise great app. Alternate 3rd party skins are available, but it's not easily understood how to install them. I got a bunch of error messages trying before I gave up. Then, the original skin was corrupted and didn't work right. An uninstall/reinstall of the original app reset it to proper operation.

Needs an update. Desperately overdue for an update. The interface is clunky. It gives you no easy way to manage the automix list, which is realistically all I’d want to attempt to do from my phone. It’s not like I’m going to be beatmixing and using loops and effects from my phone. I just want the basic functionality to be easier, and updated for the newer phones and iOS. It also needs some kind of cloud system to connect the phone to the computer, so they don’t have to be on the same network to work.

WOW. Amazing app. Was considering midi controllers for a while, but this changed my mind. I don't mind carrying a router to all my gigs for this. Now the only reason I gave it 4 stars because when I try to rotate my iPad, it doesn't want to rotate with it. I got a case that only allows my iPad to setup in a certain way, but I gotta hold it upside down, but no big deal. I love the app, can't wait to use it at my gig Friday.

Great for what it does but I would like more. I'm just another high school party dj and I'm not the serious about the craft. However I've made two mixes using this app along with the desktop software and they're both pretty good. Is there a chance that the next update will have a feature that allows me to mix just using my iPod and music from the device? I'd like to be able to use this app on road trips and long plane rides. Amazing!!. Just downloaded this, came in quick, and once you enable it in the config panel. it connects right away . it is a basic controller but could prove to be invaluable. It allows you to search your browser load and play each deck. what more could you want? Can't wait to use it tonight at the wedding I'm doing.

Finally works. Hey for those who are having trouble connecting like I did u need to go on the Dj program u have on ur PC or laptop go to configure then go to iPhone/ iPad click enable then press connect ✌️ Good luck

Works great! But you gotta set it up right!. For this to work, you have to setup an adhoc wireless connection on your computer. You may also need to install special drivers on your computer. This is not a install and play system. Go to the forum, read up on the steps to configure, and you should have it up and running in 10 minutes like I did.

Okay app. It's hard to navigate through music and lags every time I load in a song or try to fade. Not the best dj app out there. I do like how it syncs through the home music library. I only have a 16gb ipad and I want to save space for other stuff

sweet. this app i great!!! i love it on my iPod i can only imagine wat its like on the iPad i will soon find out....wat would make it a have to have app for DJs is a search bar so u can type in the song you want, or tht u are capable of using the songs on your iPod or iPhone, iPad

..... For the people who can't read before they buy, then you must like to throw away your money!! On the other hand this is a great mobile remote for the vdj!!! Comes in handy when walking around the party w/out having to run back to the console! would be five stars if it would allow you to search for music!

Don't waste your $$. Like the title says don't waste your money. All this allows you to do is to add sound effects, scratch, and adjust volume. Sure it lets you add songs but it puts them at the bottom of the list, you'll still need to go to your computer to put them where you want. You can't preview songs on the other decks from the pad to listen to them. I wish I had read reviews before I bought this useless app.

Mabye good. I think that the app may be good BUT!!! It shows "trying to locate virtual dj" so i connect it to my mac and open the virtual dj free latest version and guess what happens? NOTHING! Please fix it! P. S.: for the iphone/ipad version it may be a waste of money but the free one for mac or pc is great. DO NOT RECCOMEND FOR IPHONE OR IPAD UNTIL THE PROBLEM I MENTIONED HAS BEEN FIXED.

nice, but needs help.... i'm not sure why i paid $9.99 for this app when I'm already a VDJ pro user. Should be free. Anyways, its a decent little app, but there are few issues I noticed: 1) set up isn't that easy. you have to re-start your ipad/phone app and VDJ on your pc/mac a couple of times to finally recognize each other 2) the turntables are WAY TOO SENSITIVE. ATOMIX, you need to turn down the sensitivity quite a bit the app. Try out Algorddim's Djay app and that's how it should be. 3) some instructions on your website would help.

Awesome. The app is awesome!! If it had auto mix control option it would be even better but love the app!! Definitely 5 star easy to setup and easy to control along with a midi controller

Need to update. I like having the ability to control my setup but it needs an update with a search option. It is impossible to scroll through 41k+ songs one at a time

It's okay but.... It could be better. it does the job when just playing a basic set, but not a whole lot compared to a relatively cheap DJ setup. Only major complaint of the whole thing is that I wish it wouldn't load up upside down which makes me have to turn my iPad upside down.

Great app.. For people who can't connect, you need to enable iPad/iPod on vdj. The app it great though, just wish it had better search and playlist options, also need to add multi touch!

Works Great!. This App does work great, you just have to make sure you have the right version of Virtual DJ downloaded to your computer. My only wish would be for a "Search" Feature where you could type in a song and it would bring it up, instead of having to go thru folders or files. Other than that, it is really great....handy to have when you want to be across the room and load a song up.

Works well. App works fine, if you are having problems connecting it to virtual dj, switch your iPad to airplane mode for a bit, then turn it back off. Worked for me. Overall great app, NEEDS multitouch support though, that's it's major downfall

Great DJ app. Been using Virtual DJ for 4 yrs bought this app took 2 mins to setup you have to have wifi for this app to work if I dj in spots with no wifi I just turn on my hotspot on my phone connect then I'm good to go. Best dj app I've come across!!

Love the idea. I love the idea behind this but even though I went through the set up guide 3 times they need to update it so the app can connect with version 8 of VDJ I even tried setting up an ad hoc but it still wouldn't connect... But regardless I'm gonna keep trying because this is obviously a very good app
