Superb  finkling  5 star

The best metronome on the app store, hands down. A professional musician and lecturer, I use this as my primary practice tool and recommend it to every student. Versatile, customisable, and full of detail I have barely scratched the surface of. Worth every cent.

Ever since iOS 12, the metronome will stop ticking when the phone screen is off after about a minute (roughly). This is a major bug especially when you’re using it for prolonged times.

PPLEASE HELP!!!  Danpammmm  4 star

Hey guys just wanna say that this app is a lifesaver and I think I’m in love... don’t tell my wife 😉. It’s such a versatile app and it works wonders. I would just like to suggest adding the ability to set when the vocal count in begins. The count in feature is great but at the moment it begins as soon as I press play i think it would be cool if I was able to set how many bars the click will play for before the vocal count in comes in. I play a lot of church gigs where there needs to be seamless transitions between songs. I run the click track through our in-ear monitors and I start the click for the next song as we are crashing out the previous song so that everyone gets used to tempo for the next song. I then have to count in with my drum sticks (which is very in-seamless as everyone in the crowd hears it) so everyone in the band knows exactly when to start the song. I know a lot of us in the worship community would really appreciate this! And if you do make this option available ... PLEASE also provide the option of having the vocal count-in playing simultaneously with the click. This would really make transitions between songs seamless and we wouldn’t have to count in with my sticks (rendering the whole purpose of having in-ear monitors pointless.

Surely one of the better digital metronomes  Total Domain  5 star

Hard to fault, and if anything, some more theme options and sounds. That said, the built-in options will satisfy most people. Keep up your fine work.

Fantastic!  isobel13  5 star

No glitches, easy, simply useful. Been using it for a couple of years now.

This was the first app I ever bought, unrecognizable now from that iPhone 3 version. It’s the best. I use it every other day.

Must Have  TimW.Evans  5 star

As a drummer, I have been using Frozen Ape Tempo apps in some capacity for years now. The Tempo Advance app is great, and I loved always having it on my phone but I didn't use it live. Once this version came along, the streamlined UI and easy set list features really captured me and I've totally replaced my Tama Rhythm Watch live. I prefer this over the Advanced version, because in a live setting I like having less to accidentally mess up. You really don't ever need a standalone metronome ever again and not in a "I can live with this since it's so convenient" kind of way--this product is actually much better than physical metronomes that cost up to 140 dollars.

Flexible, reliable, useful  vcmjr  5 star

The title says it all. I don’t use one feature that might be useful for professional groups — the possibility of assigning a name to a particular selection of time signature and tempo, thereby having one tap selection of tempo among a group of tempos to be used in a single performance.

Tap needs tweaking  JMicLS  3 star

Great app overall, but there are a few bugs. One is the tap doesn’t really seem to work anymore (though in previous versions it did), and another is it sometimes freezes in rapid tempo advance when your trying to advance by 10 (by holding the tempo up button down) Otherwise, I use this app a lot!

I’ve been using Tempo for several years and have been very satisfied with it. It’s extremely flexible and has been 100% reliable. I recommend it.

I’ve used this app for years with no problems but for the last three months or so there’s been an issue where the metronome will slow down for a beat, or drop a beat. And no, I’m not talking about the coaching mode where the silent beat is a feature. I still use it when my physical metronome is missing but it’s so frustrating to have this great app squandered.

This is superb and is the best I have used. The vibration function kills and is helpful. No bugs and easy to operate.

Well designed  skyrider1416  5 star

You can tell that the developers use this app themselves, or at least work very closely with users. It’s easy to do the sorts of things you need to do all the time, like changing the beat or increasing the tempo or changing the accents on the beats. It’s intuitive to use and does everything I would want a metronome to do.

Very versatile tool  Jim7368  5 star

This is an amazing metronome with many very useful functionalities, yet very simple to use. A great app highly recommendable.

Good, with potential to be amazing  bmullen87  4 star

First off let me say I do really love this app, and it is by far the most useful metronome app that I have come across to date, and is really incredibly useful for both practice routines and gig set lists. That said there are a few niggly points that I’d really love to be worked out. For odd meters (e.g. 5/8, 7/8 etc) it takes quite a bit of effort to correlate metronome markings with the bpm value in the app. For example, if a piece of music specifies a bpm value for a quarter + dotted quarter = 50, one then has to work out manually how to express that in terms of an eighth note, or one of the other preset values. It would be great to be able to punch in a custom beat value here. For regular meters sometimes the preset rhythmic values don’t quite cut it for me, especially in 3/4 when sometimes I only want to hear the first beat of the bar, and end up swapping over to 3/8 instead. This is fine for me but for my students I’d prefer to keep the correct time signature and have the option of a custom value here as well. Finally I’ve noticed on my set lists that sometimes I want to express my bpm for a tune in 2/2 as a half note, and sometimes I want to express it as a quarter (because different sheet music expresses it differently). However when I try to do this, the app automatically converts ALL of my presets to one or the other, meaning I need to either edit this every time, or else again have to work out values manually. It would be great if this value was saveable. If these points could be worked out I think this would be the only metronome app anyone would ever need!

Excellent app!  Dubinthesticks  5 star

Why don't we get the upgrade?  DamIRL  5 star

I love this metronome but am very unimpressed I'm being asked to pay again to get the latest version. Yes, it's a 'complete remake', it's a metronome, come on. Still, to be fair, 5 stars for top metronome.

This is an excellent app. The best one I have come across. I was going to buy a metronome but glad I bought this one. Brilliant for practicing with.

Finally a metronome that doesn't drop out when you lock the phone. Simple to get around, everything easy to get at. Would be nice to have a larger selection of sounds or be able to control the pitch of the clicks. Maybe the best pile of pennies I've spent so far! Johnny Porchlight Studios
