Do Not Buy. I got this app to use for my special needs son who loves to max out the volume. I paid for the pro version so it would always be on. What a joke because he can adjust the limit himself. I am not able to use the pin function. Definitely do not recommend!

Worked fine for a day.. This app is so needed by every parent. I wish the developers fix the issue all of us are facing, even though I put the app on 40% volume limit and turn on “NEVER” it still doesn’t do what it’s designed to do.

Only works for a little while. Paid for the app thinking this would finally bring sanity to our house. Set it to never expire, set a pin... within minutes it loses its setting and is back up to 100% volume again. Wish I could get a refund as it does NOT work as advertised.

Has potential. One must keep the app running in the background... if the child swipes it off it turns off.. there needs to be a safety to keep it from happening.. I also purchased the remote feature for this and that does not work at all.. this app must be open and on the screen for it to work remotely... what’s the point.. my kid is playing a game or watching a video and I feel they turned the ipad up too much so I go to turn it down, what do I do? Say open the lock app so I can control it? Uh?? Doesn’t make sense...

Peace. My grandson is 3 and has autism. He loves the iPad but has to have the volume at its highest. I found this app and set it at 50%. So far it has worked perfectly and saved my sanity. He has not turned the iPad off yet this morning, or changed apps so hopefully it continues to work the way it is right now.

Shuts off when app is closed. I got this to limit the volume on my son’s iPad because he will have it at 100% volume all the time! Even though there is a pin to unlock the app and I can choose how long to limit the volume, it isn’t very useful when all my son has to do is close out the app (swiping the app up to close it out) and it SHUTS OFF the limits I set!! And trust me he figured out that little loophole within minutes of me setting it up!

SAVE YOUR MONEY. This app is a waste of money. I purchased this app to control the volume because my grandson turns everything up at full volume on his iPad. Irritating that educational programs do not give parents the ability to override the volume controls on an iPad but that’s a story for another day. Or that Apple does not allow us to do this. If it’s there I have not been able to find it. But I digress. I purchased this app to allow me to modulate the volume and forget it. But it continually resets to full volume. And it appears as if when I go to the app as if I did not purchase it and when I click restore purchase it does nothing. How do I apply for a refund? Ha ha. Save your money.

Does not support Bluetooth audio. I was really excited to use this app especially iOS 14 got rid of volume limit. However, this app only works for the speakers, and doesn’t work if you use any Bluetooth connected devices like earphones.

Not worth it. Paid for the pro version for my 4 year old who is autistic and non verbal because he would constantly turn the volume up to 100. Even though I have the setting to never adjust back I am constantly having to log in and turn the volume limit on again. Save your $5 and try a different app.

Can easily be disabled!. With 1 single swipe, my mentally handicapped 4 year old can bypass this. Even with it turned on... if your kid swipes UP from the bottom of your phone to bring up the iPhones controls, and swipes the volume to max... it disables this app!!!!

Worked great for a while. This worked great for the first few months but recently it doesn’t limit the volume unless the app is open and in the foreground. This completely defeats the purpose.

Works some of time. I was looking for a limit app and found this. Reviews made it seem like a dream and for most part it is. However I always have to verify it works or hadn't reset to a 100% level every time because for no rhyme or reason the limit becomes disabled. I've used the pin lock and taken it off as well - but still somehow becomes disengaged. If the app could guarantee it's active 100% of the time when it having to check i could improve my rating.

Doesn’t work as expected. I expected this app to run in the background, but if you close all of the apps the volume can still be set at 100%. Also, it would be good to have a feature to prevent others from uninstalling the app or at least don’t have any desktop icons. Have the app only accessible from the settings menu.

Worked at first.. I was so excited to find this app, since my daughter with special needs turns everything to full volume. I paid for the pro version, despite the fact that she could still turn it up full blast before the volume control kicked in. It has to be purchased for multiple devices, which seems unfair, but I did it anyway. Now it doesn’t work at all. It resets constantly even though it’s set to 25%. Every hour or so, I have to close it out, go back in, reset it with the passcode, and hope for the best. I wish there was a way to “set it and forget it” so I didn’t have to keep doing it manually. I’ve paid $10 for this app on two devices and still am not happy with this its delivery.

Probably not the app developers fault. This looks exactly like what I wanted to find. As many others have said, I was looking to get an app that limits the volume of an iPad that belongs to my special needs child. Purchased the pro version to get rid of the 5 minute limit and a few moments later, I come to realize it does not work if it is closed out in the background. Unfortunate. But the real problem here is Apple. They have devices that can do everything, but no reliable way to limit the volume from the speakers on them. It’s a serious failure of imagination from one of the most inventive companies on the planet.

Super disappointed. I bought this for my daughters tablet and it works for maybe five minutes and then turns itself off no matter what I set it to. I paid for the pro version and it doesn’t work! Don’t waste your time and money

Waste of time and money.. After trial of free version which just work ok I decided to pay for Pro version hoping it work as well as developer said in description. I immediately regret for that because the app just doesn’t work as described. Every time my toddler turn up volume then the app is resetting to its original setting. This is just a scam-app.

Work around. I set up the app using a password to protect and set the maximum volume at 50%. Somehow my 18 year old autistic daughter manages to work around the security and sets the volume back to 100%. She does not have access to the password, so I am not sure how she does this. how can I fix this?

doesn’t work. I just purchased this app and wished I had read all the reviews before doing so...you set it on a lower percentage volume, get out of app, go back in and it goes right back to volume 100%. Please fix this! You are selling fraud product!

Very much needed- please fix the issue. This app is so very much needed for my special needs son who constantly blasts the volume on his iPad at 100% and holds it directly up to his ear. I’m forever asking him to turn it back down and taking the device away for periods of time to get him to stop. I was beyond excited to find this app to help protect his hearing and paid for the premium version so that hopefully it would be constantly on. However, it stops working seemingly within an hour or two of turning it on even though the app is still up and running in the background and says it’s on. I also think it doesn’t work with some apps altogether. I’m also concerned that if he wants to he can simply exit the volume control app to turn it off even though I’ve password protected it so that he can’t turn it off. Very frustrating. Can you please please fix the issue? This is so much needed.

Don’t buy. There is no app that can perform this function without the child’s ability to close the app and render it useless. Don’t spend your money or waste your time. Apple needs to fix this, they probably won’t. Like many other parents with special needs child, there is no fix, just find a different tablet. iPads are expensive and feature limited. This will be our last Apple product.

5 minutes for unpaid version. This app requires permission to your mic and monitors when the volume is turned up then turns it down. Super invasive and only a 5 minute version for free. Should be listed As a paid app. If you have an iPhone just install guided access and turn off the volume feature or touch feature problem solved good luck!

Don’t waste your time. False advertising.. It’s basically a timer volume control. There is a time limit on how long you can limit the volume with this app and it does not give you the option for unlimited time unless you pay for the premium version. It’s ridiculous it’s not a factory setting already included in these obscenely expensive devices. Don’t wast your time or your money.

Satisfied parent. I have been using it for months and I think it's the best volume control app for parents of sensory disorder kids.

Frustrating, ineffective. Ok, I admit it, the problem may be that I am not working it properly. So where are the instructions? There aren’t any. You wouldn’t think you’d need any since there are very few functions to exercise, very few buttons to push. But here’s what happens: I successfully set the max volume at 50% and PIN protect it. It works great then I hand it to my Autistic daughter. Two minutes later it is playing at 95%.

It works until your child discovers it!. Purchased this three days ago for my 5 yo daughter’s iPad. She likes to crank up the volume to 100% despite numerous requests to “TURN IT DOWN, NOW!” Today was the first day she used he device since installation and she almost immediately realized something funny was going on with the volume. She’s savvy enough to know to close out apps to help the machine run better, and that’s precisely what she did in an effort to troubleshoot the problem. Once this app is closed, the volume is once again restored. I paid for the pro version… just wish there was a way to run this even after the app closes 😕

Works great!. Downloaded this app for my kids iPads and it works great at controlling the volume. If they increase it too quickly it will go up but then bounces back to the loudest limit.

Works sometimes. I paid for this app expecting great thins. It stops working whenever it’s wants. Then I must take the phone from my child, which of course, causes grief. I then have to reset everything and give it back, hoping for the best. I mean, it does work but only when it wants to. I’ll be looking at the other volume limiter apps because I need to be able to trust that the volume will not go to full blast when not expecting it or not at a good time. It’s too bad. Live and learn I guess.

A blessing if you have a special needs child.. I found this app through a random google search for a solution to my special needs daughter always blasting her iPad and phone at full volume. In fact, I had contacted apple for a solution months ago, even had a case number - but was very disappointed by their response in doing nothing. This app has been a HUGE blessing. It has reduced stress or the rest of the family. A special note: Marcin, the app developer has been wonderful. His communication and clear direction on enabling across multiple devices has been a breath of fresh customer service air. Thank goodness for people like you :-)

Ripped Off. Used itunes card for the $4.99 pro version and it doesn’t work at all. When I go to the set volume limit section the app just shuts itself down. It will not save the volume limit. Tried to get a refund from apple and was rejected. I don’t know if the app needs to be updated by the developer or not, but do not waste your money on the pro version.

Good idea, but it doesn’t work. I paid the $5 for the “Pro” version, which is the only version that actually works. It frequently crashes in the background, and it does not even save your settings. When you go back into the app, you have to enter the pin, re-set up your options, and then start it again. 1) fix the crashes 2) even if it crashes, re-opening the app should immediately restore the settings. If I had it enabled, then it should enable automatically.

Please fix. The Auto Off set to “Never” setting resets everyday instead of staying at the limit chosen. I paid 4.99 just to have that feature and it doesn’t work as it should. Fix it and you get the other 3 stars for sure. IPad 7th generation.

Waste of money!. I purchased the app to stop my special needs autistic son from blasting the volume accidentally from the Bluetooth speaker that has volume controls on it, he carries it around up to his ear from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed. The app worked perfectly for about 20 minutes after I purchased the pro version, limiting the volume on the Bluetooth speaker and then it stopped and as long as the app was enabled it wouldn’t allow the music to play through the Bluetooth speaker anymore.

SERIOUSLY FIX THE ISSUE!!! OVER IT!!!. I NEVER write on app reviews but this is by far the most upsetting app I have used yet. I set the timer, set the volume and lock it so my son can stop blasting the volume. But noooooo, somehow this app shuts off everything and my son is back to blasting the volume again. WHY?! Why, have a timer on it if it’s not going to function properly!? why have a volume setting if it just keeps going back to 100%?!! Paid like what $5 for something that DOESN'T work. Great idea, could be useful really...but can you guys actually allow it to work! FIX THE PROBLEM!!! It’s the most annoying and upsetting thing to deal with.

Terrible, the kids can close the app and make it useless.. There’s no point in paying $5 if the kids can turn off the app by themselves, does not auto start when you turn the device on. If your child is smart, they will figure it out. Same issue of having to yell about lowering the volume every minute. Waste of money.

Doesn’t work with bluetooth.. I get why it doesn’t work with bluetooth..because of the background noise monitor but wish there was an option to not monitor background noise and just set the volume limit. My 6 year olds’s bluetooth headset that they have to use with their iPad at school or daycare, has a volume limiter to 85dbm which is still too loud in my opinion so I like that this app lets me choose the limit myself. Unfortunately, my child uses Bluetooth with her iPad 85% of the time.

Not For Bluetooth Devices. I got this app with the expectation that it would help me prevent my headphones from accidentally blasting my ears out when my phone is in my pocket, or to remind me when my volume is too high. Turns out it only works with my device’s built-in speakers. Also, there’s delay between when the volume is increased past where the limiter is and will take about one second to adjust down. This would be a great app if you could include wireless compatibility for us headphone users.

Volume can still be changed with side buttons. This app would be good but it can be turned off simply by pushing the volume buttons on the side of the iPAD. It also shuts off if you close the app. I paid for premium version but it still does not stop my son with special needs from blasting the volume and holding it up next to his ear.

Still loud!!!!. My son is 5 years old and on the spectrum I know apple failed parents on the volume control aspect. My husband found this app and I thought OMG!!!! It finally worked but guess what my son saw the app on his iPad and close it and the freaking iPad was loud!!! Unfortunately backfired to the developer you need to program this to were it can be closed and still control the volume and another the little microphone is a dead give away when the app is open

Doesn’t work, waste of money. This was for my children's devices. Bought the pro version. When I set the limit it works for a few hours then stops. When I try to reset it it will not back up the pro version. A total waste of money.

Does not work consistently. I don’t know how this app manages to stay on apple platform with so many negative but true reviews. It works then resets itself to full volume even after manipulating the settings to never revert to original volume. I have a son who figured out how to blast the volume on KidsYoutube app. Beats the purpose of this app.

Pro version dosent work with ios 13. I purchased the Pro version because with out full control the app is worthless! I have a 12yr old with Down Syndrom and he is definetly smarter than the app. The Pro version seems to work at first but the next day it reverts back to 100% volume again! If the Pro version is purchased it needs to work until you set it otherwise! It feels like a classic example of the developer not keeping up with the ios version updates or just not giving clear directions on how to use the app and the Pro version!

Does not work. I set the volume at 40% and chose the option to expire-never and it does not work it goes back to the normal setting my son has it at 100% loud. It is not doing what is said and I paid control volume.

App constantly resets to 100% volume.... This app constantly resets to 100% volume even after you purchase the pro version and change the settings so that it wouldn’t do that. Very unfortunate, and I would not recommend this app at all.

Waste. My son has autism and likes to listen to his iPad at 100% volume. We bought the pro version thinking it would set the volume. It didn’t last long. He can still turn it up to full volume. So it was a waste of money!

Not shareable. The app works, which is a great thing especially since this is the 3rd app I’ve bought. The issue is that these apps work initially, but are quickly abandoned by the developer. My main issue is that the developer claims to have made this app for kids with special needs, but doesn’t allow you to share the app on thief device. It’s claimed to be an in app purchase. Seems like they are taking advantage of people.

terrible. i downloaded this for my 6 y/o sister with special needs because i let her use my ipad pro since her new one hasn't been delivered yet. but the thing is, my ipad is SUPER loud. she always turns it up to max volume and i thought this app would help. i did not purchase the full version because i don't have my own money for this. it didn't work and i'm pretty sure it wouldn't work either way because other people have purchased the pro version and said it hasn't worked. she was trying to watch something on netflix and she turned the volume up all the way and it didn't even work! i instantly deleted this app, and am now writing this review.

Missing feature/great app still. App is great! I just wish it had setting to where to I can specify the mound of volume. So that it would nether go up or down. It would be a great help.

Does Not Work 🤬🤬. This app absolutely does not work!! I set the volume limit to 60% in the app, exit the app, and go right back in and see the limit is right back up to 100%! Every time it does the same exact thing. Am I missing something?

Takes your money then doesn't work. It worked once and then overnight it logged me out and now when I try to redone load the purchase it won't work so I'm left with just the 5 min setting which is useless.

App don’t work after iPad restart. The app don’t work after iPad restart. You need to turn on the app again after device restart. Its not the developer oversight but due to Apple security deliberate design to protect you. It’s good for certain use cases such as when child is being naughty and maxed the volume causing hearing damage. You can then use the app until the child have learned to respect boundaries.

Volume Limit Control. Application works for a short period of time and then crashes I presume because the volume is then able to be turned up. Note I have paid version with unlimited time (supposedly).

good app otherwise..... We bought the premium version couple of moths a go. however worked ok for few days and it goes back to the full volume after sometime, even having set to a low volume limit and indicate a low volume when you re-check the setting. please fix the issue. otherwise it's a good app.

Buyer Beware. This is a good concept app that does not deliver. I purchased this app for the volume limit, but the actual function doesnt last. Wasted money by purchasing the pro version that makes no difference.

Only works for three days. App worked great for almost three days. Then stopped working. Contacted Developer and did some trouble shooting. Still only keeps enabled control for about 20 minutes even with auto off = never. Unable to get refund.

So sorry I spent $5. Does it limit volume? Yes, for about 5 minutes. I don’t care if I protect it with the PIN and set it to never time out. 5 minutes later it is back playing at full volume. The free volume limiter on her Kindle Fire works perfectly.

Does not work properly. This app does not work properly. 1/2 the time it seems to disable Bluetooth or force sound through speakers. Also does not run in background. Kid can close the app and protection is gone. Waste of $ :(

Not working. I purchased the PRO version of this app for my autistic daughter who listens at max volume 24/7. Worked the first time I used it, then not again after that.

Doesn’t work. This app claims you can lock the volume to a low level for special needs kids. This is true, but only for a few minutes then it resets. You have to *constantly* close the app and reopen/reset it. Not worth the money.

$4.99 if you want volume limit to work with Bluetooth. What is point of basic version when you still have to pay to use with Bluetooth. Keep that in mind.

The 3 minute wonder. Purchased the pro version to control the time. My child with ADHD/Down Syndrome figures out that he just needed to swipe close the app to turn it off. So I’m 3 minutes I realized I wasted $5

Wast of money , not functioning. Good, until my special needs son figured out how to turn the volume up and sweep out the app. This app is so bad elaborated.

Doesn’t lock. The volume doesn’t lock even if you buy the pro version. It will just stop controlling the volume.

Doesn’t work, don’t spend the money on pro!. This app sounds great, so I purchased the pro version. I’ve had to restart it 20+ times in this one day I’ve had it. There is no option for a refund, so I’m just out $5 now. Don’t pay for this app, it doesn’t work as advertised.

Not really parental control. I just downloaded the paid version of this app. I was disappointed to find that it can be turned off as easily as closing the app- which my daughter can do independently.

Doesn’t work. This app continues to fail. Volume control stops working randomly. No support to assist. Would not recommend this app!

Pretty useless. Auto off for only 5 minutes if money isn’t spent. Headphone volume doesn’t get lowered, only the iPhone. Using the limit negates the headphones entirely instead of lowering them too.

Not good.. I never leave reviews at all. This app doesn’t work as it says it does I paid for full access just to be able to still put the volume up . Good job.

Pro version does not work. Can I please get a refund!?!? I bought this app hoping it would actually control the volume on my child’s iPad. It does not, the volume stays the same at 100. Seriously, do NOT waist your money on this app.

Stupid. Even with BUYING the pro version the limit turns off after a day! It’s ridiculous that I have to go in each day and fix this
