Easy to use!. Many different learning styles are incorporated in this app to ensure you thoroughly and efficiently learn each bit. It continuously incorporates new words while simultaneously reviewing any previous words learned so far. I’m excited to learn a new language, and thankful to have this app as my guide!

I've only done one lesson but. I'm confident in saying that I really have faith that this will be a huge help! It was recommended by someone else I know learning Icelandic on their own. The interface is really sleek and the activities to learn vocabulary are interesting and fun. It's not genetic word practices, the games are really thoughtful. Every word is pronounced when interacted with as well, so there is plenty of listening practice to boot. I'm very impressed and excited moving forward.

So far so good. I love the picture examples even after the 5 minute free trial I picked up a few “food” words. I go to Iceland often so having an app like this would make it easier for me to get around and speak with the locals and learn the culture deeper, I’ve yet to try the full version. I feel I will probably sign up for the full version and continue learning the language to further expand my knowledge of the beautiful country, and its culture.

Enjoying it so far!. This app offers a free trial! Method seems to work so far(I’ve been learning Icelandic for 15 minutes but I’m guessing if you’re reading this then there is a chance you are too.) Gamification of language learning is an interesting concept and I wonder about the long term results as opposed to instance based results for this method. Anyway this is a review not a novel so I will leave you with those deep thoughts as you too embark on your journey to learn Icelandic. Decided to slowly translate this review to Icelandic over this next week to give you a good idea of what to expect from this app.

Wow. Ok٫ so I was watching a movie and had no idea what Icelandic was. Then, some guy and women pop up, and turns out they’re Icelandic. The women was beautiful, and they started speaking the language. I was like, “Mom, what type of language is this?” And she says it’s Icelandic. Long story short, I thought the ppl were really pretty from there, and the language was more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I really wanted to learn Icelandic, so I downloaded this app. I know 18 words already. It may give u premium, but I think ur better off without it. -Elina M.

All in all, very good informative app.. This app has definitely helped me learn Icelandic, my opinion it does not offer that much immersive Ness, but then again I’m still at a very beginner course. I think it would be great if the sessions were a little longer than five minutes. However it is pretty informative. One thing that I think could be added to it, is A sort of feature where it says a word or phrase, and then you have to repeat it back, and it just helps you learn to pronounce it. Because honestly some of the letters are very hard to pronounce.

Nice app. I like the simplicity, yet stylishness of the word matching. The voice is pleasing. This is good for a beginner. It is super easy to get started. My only complaint is how quick it is. I want more time to learn than just three or four words in a few minutes. Now I have to wait 10 hours? to do it again.

Excellent so far!. I like the pace and ease! I would like a repronounce button, but I like the timed aspect! Also, wish there was a price that wasn’t premium. Maybe a middle range for those who can’t swing the big amount? It could offer less but more than the free version??

Loving it. I’m loving it, the only down side is the timer for studying. You only get so many drops before you have to wait 10 hours. I mean it’s not terrible having to wait but I do like to sit for longer periods of time to study. It’s nothing big just an annoyance.

Finally an app with pronunciations. I just found this app and am super excited that it has pronunciations built in. I tried other apps to learn Icelandic, but they didn't have voice outputs. For a language like Icelandic it feels as if voice outputs are one of the most important things - how else will you learn how to pronounce letters like ð or þ... Or how to pronounce words with two ll in the end? I also like the playful interactive character of the App. Well done!

Great app but... This is a really great app and it’s pretty fun, but if you don’t pay it only gives you five minutes to practice every 10 hours. I would give this app 5 stars if it gave you more time, like 30 minutes-1 hour every 10 hours or something like that. I just don’t think it’s fair that I can’t practice for more than 5 minutes because I can’t pay. I think it should work like Duolingo with the hearts, and I would be using Duolingo but they don’t have Icelandic. This app is very fun though and it helps me remember the words as well if not better than Duolingo did when I learned Japanese. TL;DR: If you don’t pay you can only play for 5 minutes every 10 hours, but if you’re okay with that it’s very fun and useful!

Wonderful Vocabulary Booster. This app has helped me vastly, I recommend it with almost no issues. The only issues I have are largely my own but fault with commitment. Upon coming back, an option to take a comprehensive test or way to test every subject I know would be a suggested improvement. The feature where it throws in a word from other lists occasionally is perfectly tuned for consistent users.

Really good for learning vocabulary. Drops format is enjoyable and helps to keep the process interesting, as it gradually works additional word into your vocabulary. I have found it very helpful for learning words in short sessions everyday. I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to expand your vocabulary in a new language.

Awesome way to learn!. I love how the app is set up! It was exactly my learning style and made it feel easy learning new words. I especially liked the different ways it let you learn the words (crosswords, spell out the word, matching, listening, etc) and it kept switching it up!

Learning! :D. The short bursts, Icelandic-only audio, and being able to view the words only in Icelandic is really helping me learn the words. I have a strong grasp of so many already :D and my brain doesn’t feel tired or worn out because the sessions are only 5 minutes long. I seriously love this. It’s a great addition to my other materials!

Starting Icelandic. Wonderful ! I’m a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English, have traveled to Iceland and this is the best app I have found to start to beginning with the most difficult parts of properly pronouncing the words and I actually enjoy the tongue rolls :) we have quite a few in Spanish in Peru (know very little German also which both help) but not as complex as the Icelandic ones. Great app, great visual cued pronunciation exercises! I was hoping duolingo would have Icelandic and basque (of basque heritage) since they have fictional silly languages like clingon and valerian lol but they give no love yet to smaller bodies of language speakers like basque and Icelandic but here comes drops to the rescue ! :)

Just started but learning quickly. I just started this today but the high-quality audio files and visual representations are really helping me connect the Icelandic words to familiar concepts. And it really helps that with each try they verbally repeat the word, so You get many opportunities to practice the language out loud and get your pronunciation down.

Best app for pronunciation for Icelandic. I’ve tried nearly every Icelandic learning app and this is by far the best in pronunciation. My husband is Icelandic and I’ve been attempting to become fluent after a few years. This app is a step above the rest, even compared to Memrise which has excellent courses available. Drops is very polished but I do worry about sentence structure later in the app. Seems to be better at learning vocabulary than conversation skills. I may give pro a shot for a year to see if I improve.

Great app.. So far it’s been a wonderful app. I’m very happy with it and will consider purchasing the permanent license for it. Given, I am also using other resources to study Icelandic. This app is great for quick study breaks during the day. I love how you can hear how the words sound on your stats page after a session by touching the word/image to continue practicing the pronunciation. Love it!

Awesome and engaging!. I love the way this app teaches! Just 5 minutes twice a day and I feel more confident about learning Icelandic than I did when I took two years of Spanish in a classroom!! I feel like I’m writing an infomercial with how stupid excited I am about this app, and would like to thank the creators or creator for rocking this it out.

Actually learning something!!. This is such a fun app - beautiful graphics done in a way that is conducive to learning. I like the few minute increments - that’s about enough time for me each day and helps me coming back for more. This is a thoughtful app done for today’s busy body (aka distracted person).

Love approach, would help to have phonetic visuals. I love this approach to learning language and happily pay for premium. As an English-speaker it would really help to have phonetic representation of the words. Hearing the audio isn’t always helpful when I’m learning a language that uses different sounds than I’m used to. Otherwise this is great!

It’s a good app for a beginning student of Icelandic. The app thus far has done a good job of covering the basics of the Icelandic language. It also splits words into categories, such as food and essential daily conversational words. However, it can be difficult to understand the pronunciation of certain words or phrases, and could use more activities with regard to that aspect. It seems that I am learning the language but not how to speak it. Additionally, it has you match Icelandic words with images that are often vague. For example, “Takk fyrir”, which means “Thank you”, is represented by the symbol of someone giving a thumbs up. “Vinsemlegast”, which means “Please!” is represented by a similar image of a man begging. Some of these images serve to confuse. Nonetheless, it’s a good app, and is really beneficial toward helping me learn.

Charming & Effective!. Like having a very young and receptive brain again, allows you to learn at your own pace so you can process the new information and build up organically. Useful repetition and review, the program detects words posing greater challenge and presents them more often to help you get these down. Really quite fun, it’s the closest one can come to feeling that wonderful sense as a kid of “job well done!”

So far loving it. Okay this is coming after one day but it repeats words in many different ways to get your mind to adapt and learn a difficult new language (at least difficult for me) 😁 5 minutes free each day... definitely worth giving it t a try

trying to learn icelandic to learn old norse and learn about norse mythology. i love norse mythology and want to speak at least some of mixed in languages in the culture. i also love Iceland and have been wanting to learn icelandic- i’ve barely had it for a few minutes and i already know this app will be useful.

Great tool!. Absolutely wonderful way to learn languages! Premium is totally worth it. I’m happy it syncs your progress across devices. My only wish is so see a section to get further handwriting practice if desired and also a speech section to check if your pronunciation is correct. Thank you for making the language learning app I’ve been looking for. I will update once I’ve seen more of it. Really hope there is a sentence and conjugation section later on!

Great App!. I love this app so much! I’ve been wanting to learn Icelandic, and this is is the perfect app to do it! I love that there’s only five minutes a day to practice because it keeps me on my feet and ready for the next day. I also love how it gives you many opportunities to spell it, too. Continue the great work!

Fun way to learn, subscription is a hindrance. App design is really nice, and the learning structure is good so far too. I was looking for something similar to Duolingo for Icelandic, and I seem to have found it. The only downside is that you have to buy a subscription to be able to practice more than five minutes every ten hours. There's plenty of stuff that you get with a subscription, but I'd like to see unlimited practice in the basic tier.

Easy learning AND…. 5 stars for easy learning.. Icelandic isn’t a particularly easy language to get but this makes it fun and surprisingly easy! AND a note/request is to add more common phrases while ordering at a restaurant or store since this is a highly used vocabulary list while traveling .. there is some good basics but a more in depth chapter would be great (“I’d like to order…” , “what is the specialty here?”, “can I get a to-go container”, “do you have ____ in stock?”, etc)

Simple but not boring. This app is so simple with how it teaches the language,it doesn’t try to overcomplicate anything or make you do something you’re not ready for. It’s very thorough with each new thing it teaches, too. From matching a word to the right picture to spelling it out, it tests you in every way it can. You can move on when you’re ready or just restudy what you’ve already learned. I thought it’d be too good to be true, but I’m in love with this app.

Fantastic app!. This app has done a great job teaching me the basics of Icelandic. I’m used to more textbook learning styles, so this has been different and fun! It was hard for me to find any good resources for learning Icelandic, a language I’ve been wanting to learn for a long time, so I’m super happy that I found this app. It’s clear to understand and helps the words and phrases stick in your head easily. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s serious about learning a language. I can’t write a proper review without a little critique though, so I will say I would add a few things. Instead of just having a list of words, I would like to see some sort of flash card feature where you can quiz yourself. The little sliding games are fun, and they do a good job of teaching you, but I feel like a separate section with flash cards would add another layer onto the learning. Also, I wish you had an option to see the picture AND the English word above the one you’re trying to learn, just because when you’re going through them quickly it’s easy to associate just the picture with the Icelandic word, instead of what the picture MEANS (If that makes any sense). Other than those small things, I LOVE the app and I might even try it for another language in the future. Keep up the good work!

Edit. Okay, so the app has a LOT of issues with pricing- like, a lot a lot. However, I was able to go through Apple to select a plan from about 50 possible prices and combinations. Once I had the pricing sorted out I have been using the app and find it very helpful. The developer really needs to work on the pricing thing, though, the price changing every time you log in or additional pricing when you’ve already bought premium really isn’t good. Once that is sorted though it is a decent app.

Love it!!. I’m wanting to learn Icelandic, because it is the most ancient-still-spoken Germanic language, and I’d like to keep it alive. I speak English, some Spanish, some Portuguese, German and understand Yiddish. Being able to speak German does help with Icelandic for sure, except for pronunciation. Very glad it has spoken voice on here, as I try to master accent while learning languages. I just wish it had both male and female pronunciation, to catch different tones, to further understand how I (as a male) should be sounding. If you learn a language by hearing only female voice, you can pick up feminine voice manipulations, which might throw off your listener, or throw YOU off when you hear a man speak. Other than that, 100% love it!

Incredible!. This app is like flash cards on steroids! The range of language options is impeccable, such clear and absorbable pronunciation is a rare find in language apps but of course this one is here to impress!! This app is user friendly and here to teach, I’ve never been so addicted to learning! While this app is an incredible vocabulary builder, I’d suggest they expand to sentence building and put a focus on applying the vocabulary words we’ve learned. Overall, very happy with the setup and performance.

Learn with pronunciation AND pictures. Icelandic is a language not easily found amidst learning apps...I was so excited to find not only is the drops program so well equipped to teach this language, but many others as well. You can pay for a subscription or simply try their 5 minutes of free lessons per day. Honestly, how much are most of us really retaining, or have time to study during a busy work day. Be it a trip or a proper go at becoming fluent, I highly recommend Drops.

Good for learning but a horrible plan. I HATE that you only have 5 minutes to learn every day... I also hate that if you want premium there is only one plan (one whole year) I would rather have it for a month and see if it works, it is really annoying because I want to learn but this app makes it VERY difficult because of the restrictions of learning based on how much you have learned out of five minutes. Instead of this you should probably find some courses on another platform because of the lack of time you can spend learning on this app. This is my honest opinion and I don’t like this app.

A little too fast. I’m loving the app so far but some of the phrases can go a little too fast and I can’t fully understand it. Maybe there should be an option to slow the speech down. Thank you love the app!

Good, with a few buts. App works well and it’s nice to learn in daily small doses. It’s very visual, and it’s not always clear what meaning the image is meant to convey in my own language, let alone the one I am trying to learn. I wish there was more text to text translations and also a way to learn more about the letters themselves and the sound each one represents. Overall good, but for the price I would really hope for more substance.

Interesting. I just love this app in general! It is definitely making it easy for me to learn the language, I just started the app but would be awesome if the photos were real photos of the objects. Other than that I haven’t had any issues yet and it has been pretty good so far.

Amazing App!. Icelandic is an interesting language to learn because it is only spoken by 300k people or so. It is a very interesting language and this app does a very good job helping me remember words and get my spelling on point. I have one question. I’m not too far in, but I’m just wondering if this app will bring me as far as forming sentences and learning how to use verbs and stuff like that. Takk Fyrir!

Fun on first use. I just joined an Icelandic company, and it was a lot of fun using this app to learn some basic Icelandic words. The app teaches you is you go but does not frustrate you. Instead it turned everything into a game. That made it easier to try and learn new words like breakfast she is and fork. I have a long way to go to master language, but this was a fun start.

Super easy. My whole family is Icelandic and I’ve wanted to be able to learn the language so I can speak to them and also be able to read it in stores, I’m actually here right now and this app makes it super easy to learn. I wish you could get a little more time for free on it but overall it’s pretty good.

I absolutely love it!. I love this app! I just downloaded this and I can’t take you enough! This is so easy to use and this app actually helps you learn Icelandic. It was really hard to find this app, but I’m very glad I did find it. Most people want to learn French or Spanish and I’m over here struggling to find something to help me learn Icelandic. And what do you know! I found this. Overall my point is, I’m not disappointed and I absolutely love this app.

Scammed and progress deleted.. Today the app required me to “sign in” to continue. This ended up linking the separate icelandic app to my multi language app, meaning that instead of getting to practice each language on the separate apps per day, i can only practice one language a day. What a cheap, dirty way to scam customers. If this was your business model, you should have never had the separate apps and tricked people into thinking this was a language resource that they could use for multi-language learning. I deleted the app immediately, as well as all the apps by drops, and i am never touching anything from this scammy company again.

Love this Learning App. I’ve tried a few language learning apps, but I like this one because it gives a reminder every day. You do it for 5 minutes a day! I also like the way it intermixes and changes up the way you are learning each new word and then adding in the old words to make sure your are remembering.

premium is worth it. Paying for premium is worth it in my opinion. I am amazed at how much I have learned in such a short time. The balance between stretching my ability (means more mistakes), hints (when I get stuck, just a small nudge in the correct direction), and giving me the “easy” ones for me (gives me the confidence, and enthusiasm to continue) is well done. I especially like the cycling back of previous learning, the sometimes showing capital equivalents of the letters, and the dojo. The speaking of the words and phrases is extremely helpful. I have the option to also learn from a university online for this language for free. Maybe when I get further with this app, I will feel more inclined to continue with my learning on the university free site as it covers more grammar, etc. I will be deleting the other apps for this language as this one does what they do and more as well as better in my opinion. Well done! Thank you greatly for this app!!!

Fantastic way to learn Icelandic!. Feels natural and you can go as quickly or slowly as you want through each lesson. Definitely worth the premium price but still offers you enough to learn in one day to leave you feeling challenged but not fried! Wish I had started with this app sooner since I arrive next week. But I am already much more confident than I was before I started using it!

So far.. great!. I love the fact that it has reminders so you can study every day! I’m a very visual learner, so these little games help a lot! It also helps that every time you get an answer right, it says the word. So it’s repetitive and that’s pretty good for learning a language! It’s intuitive and very aesthetically pleasing, i really love it. Just what I was looking for!

I just got it and it’s pretty good. This app is better than most language learning apps out there that I’ve seen. This is a really fun and engaging app that makes what would otherwise be the living hell that is learning a language fun. I only have one critique, the pronunciation is what gets me every time and I’m not sure if it’s just me but it’s hard to understand sometimes so I would suggest implementing how to pronounce the word like how you would see it in a dictionary or something like that. Other than that this app is fantastic I would definitely recommend it.

Takk fyrir. Hæ, mér líkar!! Takk fyrir.

So easy to follow.. This app is so easy to understand and follow. The repetition and different methods give plenty of opportunities to get words right.

Excellent. Fun hands on memorable way to memorise basic words and meanings. LOVE that the voice pronouncing the words is slow and clear, and all the mini games make it very easy to remember

Brettski. Great app easy on the brain strain

Love it!. Ao far so good!! Learned two new words!!

Sufficient. Nard

Woohoo. Makes this hard language easy to learn

So far so good.. Nice introduction to language learning. Different activities keeps you thinking

Amazing. I don’t know why I wanted to learn Icelandic but this is definitely the right app, well done! Would recommend.

Great app so far! But not enough time to explore the app.. Since my mum’s side of the family is Icelandic, and I didn’t get a chance to learn Icelandic when I was little, I’ve been testing out apps and finally found this one! The voice that does it is very clear and I learned quite a few words now, even in just one session. I know, even though this review sounds so great, I only gave it 4 stars. That’s because I haven’t had enough time yet to explore the app, but I’m doing this review.

Great app so far. Fun and quite easy to learn with

Excellent progression. After one session I’m already hooked. The progression of difficulty is wonderful, decreasing the frequency of a word that you’ve gotten right a bunch and increasing the difficulty of the questions about them. In particular, the gradual addition of incorrect bubble letters in the spelling questions are excellent. Edit: After using this for a while, I can confirm that it is still my favourite language learning app.

Loving learning icelandic on this app.. very accessible and easy!

It’s Okay. It’s okay, but the only reason I use it is because it’s the only app with Icelandic. I would say to look at Duolingo.

Mmm. This is a pretty good but if u don’t get yearly or monthly trail you will have to wait 10 hours other then that it really good

Excellent. Well-designed introduction to Icelandic language!

Amazing. Already hooked after just one session

Needed this.. No lessons in Brisbane, app is a great start.

Good for vocab. Very good for learning vocabulary

Good!!!. This app is REALLY good if you want to memorise words, but it really doesn’t teach you about sentence structure or conjugation in the Icelandic language. I would ask that the app also make an ‘ADJECTIVE’ category, as it is WELL needed.

Beginner. Just started today and really enjoying this app. The repetition is starting to help and the game-like format is keeping my interest. I have purchased a year’s subscription. So no excuses not to invest the time. Watch this space! 😉

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It makes it easier to learn a different language

Fun and helpful!. This app is really enjoyable to use and does help learn the basics of the language!

Awsome. It’s very helpful

really liking this app. The only suggestion I’d have is that it’s main focus is on vocabulary and perhaps you could add some conversational exercises for some of the languages, kind of like what memrise has. Learning vocabulary is good, but then you’re missing the building blocks it is hard to figure out what’s going on.

Overall good. Good way to reinforce basic Icelandic vocabulary

Icelandic drops. The pronunciation is great!

OwO. UwU

Learning slowly but surely. Very simple. Lots of repetition. Wish it would listen and compare your pronunciation.

Very easy and simple. It has many different ways to learn the vast variety of source material, and the voice is soft and clear.

Absolutely Amazing. The teaching method in this app is something I have told people about for years and years of how to learn other languages, I am so grateful to find it accessible on a digital platform — it is like a dream come true!

Great interactive learning. Great for quiet study on the bus or train. Visual and audio aids, as well as an interactive style of learning cover all the bases! Well done

Excellent visuals!. Great way to maintain your attention.

Really like this. Really like this app. Good pronunciation, nice little quizzes enjoy playing this

This is a cool idea!. Turning learning into game is wise.

Fun to learn. Fun way to learn Icelandic words :)

Pictures are better than words. The good stuff: Learning each word though interaction in different ways. Repetition. Relating to the word as a picture rather than to the word in English is better. This way you are not thinking of the word in your English, then translating, but going straight to the word in Icelandic.

Really intuitive. I’ve never learned so many words so quickly, the repetition with each word helps retain them so much easier than I thought.

Love it. Quick and easy

Pretty logic interactive. Logically interactive app

Good Repetition. Graphics and the way they teach spelling is good.

Love!. Love the short lessons so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I also like that they slowly add new words and sounds in while continually remind you of what you’ve already learned.

Simplicity. I love the simplicity of the design. I also love the interaction with the pictures and words and dragging and dropping as it makes it easier to remember

!. One of the best learning language application ive ever download

Love This!. I love how the words are repeated every time so you can get the pronunciation correct.

Doesn’t work. Paying $92 a year somehow for an app that doesn’t work

Great. It’s great but premium is really expensive and 5 minutes isn’t quite enough.

I don’t feel qualified to judge this app. I have only done one session, seems to make sense as a method although I find it a strange place to start with just food and not a greeting or a phrase. The method seems sound.

Love it!!. Sucked me in right away, really fun, really effective - I’m hooked!

Slay. Unique

Easy to learn words. Love the app! Makes it so easy to learn words!

very slay. and the tea

Day one. First impression is pretty good

So good!. Learning Icelandic in no time!

Che. Very simple.

I love this!. Normally I’m really bad with languages but this app made it easy.

Just started with this app but it seems really great so far.. Just downloaded to see what this app was all about and it's very well done. I'll continue with it. Work a look if you're interested in learning Icelandic.

Nice!. Good amount of repetition and diverse activities to help memorize vocabulary. It is also visually pleasing. Like it so far

Connecting with culture. As a white dude living in Canada I’ve always felt a huge lack of culture around me and I never really developed that part of my identity. My great great grandpa immigrated to Gimli, Manitoba. It’s nice to be able to learn and hopefully impress my grandmother who is obsessed with her roots but never participated in it herself.

Good but why do you learn food before greetings?. I think that instead of learning ostur meaning cheese first you should learn talar þú ensku meaning do you speak English (I had 2 use google translate because the symbol in front of ú is untypable on the QWERTY keyboard) or hæ meaning hi oh and unless you pay you can only do 1 lesson every 10 hours

Nice!. Beepus

Learning Icelandic. I like this app It is very well made Very easy way to learn bite sized bits to learn new words

Effective. This is cool, it works similarly to other science based language apps. Only downside is that it only gives you 5 minutes to learn a few words

Love the app!. This is the best app for learning the language I’ve found!! I also suggest you put the words you learn in notes. Overall amazing!

Wow. Amazing so far. I’ve learned so many new words and it’s a very cool way to learn.

good but some drawings are confusing. i’ve had this app for a very short amount of time and i’m liking it so far, but some of the drawings such as “ hi “ and “ bye “ are very similar making it pretty hard to get the right one

Quick and easy lessons. Very easy to use thank you!

Connection. I love the picture to word connection it makes remembering super easy.

Bad order?. It teaches you great words, just maybe doesn’t prioritizes the right ones. Exemple, you’ll learn food first, which isn’t that necessary

Love love love. This app teaches language in the most appropriate way, with visuals, spoken language and lots of repetition. I am learning!! A bit pricey for the full version but likely worth the money if you’re looking for a more complete experience. Thank you!

Fun way to start. Easy to follow lesson with great visuals make this an enjoyable app to use. Looking forward to using it more.

Neat. I really like the constant repetition of the word by the native speaker!

Challenging and Fun. I’m 35 and trying to learn Icelandic! The format is great. The pronunciation with each word is really helpful. It has been great to learn patterns with words. I also like how old words I’ve previously learned keep cycling through. Way happy about this purchase.

It’s useful. I am going to Iceland in a month. I like the repetition and the different game to help you learn. I’m not always sure I’m making the right sounds so an introduction to the different sounds would be helpful.

Lovely but I wish for more. Drops has helped me learn in a short period of time and in a way I can. What it does teach, it teaches masterfully. But I do wish it would explain words/letters and their structure as well instead of having to look up definitions and notice connections on my own.

One thing I would change. I love this app to death but I wish after you learn a word they would make you say it it would make it more easy to learn but I do love this app

Very intuitive and makes learning fun. Easy to use. The repetition and reliance on pictures really helps the vocabulary stick. I plan to keep using to prepare for my trip to Iceland.

Good but needs some work. I like the app, really like it but but it has flaws, such as you only get five minutes every ten hours except when you pay, the hole reason I got the app was because I needed to Learn Icelandic fast so it wasn’t very helpful, if this is fixed in the future, I might use it. But I’m not going to use it any more.

I like it. Its a fun app. Makes learning the language fun. One thing I wish it did is review the meaning of words already learned. They show up again during the lesson but only the Icelandic word is shown. Sometimes I can’t remember what the word meant even if I’m looking at the image attached to it.

Amazing so far. There is so little support out there for the Icelandic language, and I have been so eager to learn, finding this app has made things so much easier and it’s platform is very smooth and user friendly!

Jonathan. I just began learning Icelandic and this helps tremendously with vocabulary. Gives pronunciation, pictures and spelling. There are little match picture to word games, spelling games and is this the correct word with this picture games. Excellent app

Yay Vikings?. I’m interested in Icelandic, most apps don’t have it. This both has it, and has a fun, easy to digest lesson plan similar to that of DuoLingo! It’s DuoLingo with the languages you want, instead of just the most popular languages out there!

Surprisingly really good. I normally never leave reviews but I’m really impressed how engaging this app is. Not only does it keep me engaged in learning new words but it gives me little mini games to help commit the word to memory I thought it was really unique and for that I’m leaving a positive review!

The illustrations could be better. The drawings could be better but the concept is there! Love how it is a game but sometimes I don’t remember what the illustrations are supposed to mean. Sometimes I would prefer to see the English word at the same time as the illustration. But they only show the English word till after you get it correct

Great. It's a great app so far and I'm already feeling like I'm learning helpful words. The only improvement that I can see is adding a voice recognition so that it can give a yes or no on whether your pronounciation is correct. However, I have the free version so I know I'm asking for a lot!

I love it. I like that it repeats all the words so you don’t forget it want’s you to learn everything but it only one problem it doesn’t let you learn more than 5 min but still love it

Fantastic app. This app has already taught me so much but I have one suggestion, which is to allow you to go over and do the same lesson you have already done again

Fun and five free minutes daily. Love the format and tones. This was my first day using the app. I have used Rosetta Stone with great success previous to this, but they don’t offer Icelandic. I think this will be a great prep for a trip to Iceland.

User friendly approach to language learning. So far I have only completed the tutorial for Icelandic, but I nevertheless found it to be useful, intuitive and straightforward. Looking forward to seeing how much progress I can make before my upcoming trip to Iceland

Love it!. I like that this is different from Duolingo in that it steers clear from using too much direct translation and uses pictures. The pictures are useful to help me out of thinking in English and thinking instead in Icelandic.

No complaints. This works incredible! Haha, sorry but I just need to laugh at the reviews of people who are mad about paying to learn a new language. $40 for a year to learn a skill, but you’ll buy 2 drinks at the bar for that. GREAT APP, and GREAT PRICE to learn!

So Far So Good!. I just started using this app so I’m slightly hesitant in leaving a review. Just to comment on its ease of use & aesthetic- I think it’s fantastic so far. Looking forward to seeing how this app will help me learn & improve my beginners Icelandic.

Great but Subscription problems. The app is great. I’ve had it for a while now and love the games. 2 stars because it needs more sentence building and for some reason now, the premium plan I have had for months has changed without notifying me. Now I’m paying $10/month and I still have to wait 10 hours between sessions? What am I paying for then?

App. I just downloaded the app but, it seems very interactive and having to do the puzzle will help me at least remember the words and such much easier. Overall I like how it’s all set up. Great Job.

Fun vocabulary building aide. This is one of the few apps for learning Icelandic. It’s a fun way to build vocabulary. After using it for a few weeks I just purchased a subscription. One suggestion - would be great if this included short phrases too.

Great app but few inconveniences. This app is amazing, but I think if they made the sessions longer, then it would be more enjoyable for everyone. They still make you pay for infinite time, but you get MORE time.

Wicked user friendly and fun!. We’re traveling to Iceland soon and I know folks say we don’t need to learn the language because everyone also speaks English but that just feels so lazy. This is a fun app that is really well designed and engaging as heck.

It’s good but could use more work. It’s really good for learning languages, I’ve been wanting to learn Icelandic for a while because it is part of my heritage, I just figure it would be better if it add a way for it to listen to what you were saying so it can make sure you’re saying it right straight off the bat

very good for beginners!. I really recommend it, since a friend of mine speaks Icelandic I decided to try this app. They were born there so I can see why, but I know that I’ll understand them! ☺️👍

Overall a great app!. This app has a very easy interface and when a punctuation problem arose their customer service was very very helpful and quick! A day after I reported the problem a patch was put in. I would highly recommend this app!

Swipe learning. Swiping instead of typing is great. You can quickly work through the words. This leads to being able to see the words again quickly over and over. Plus it is just fun.

Pretty nice but time-locked behind paywall. 5 minutes a day cap unless you pay for premium. it’s a little wack but also people need to make money so it’s fair enough. If you’re very casual and only passively interested, you can still get enjoyment and learning out of it for free.

Better than most apps. What I like is there are no capital letters. Other apps will capitalise the first letter of words making it cheating and doesn’t force me to learn it. I’m just doing this for fun but I’m actually enjoying the app..if only there were game games instead of matching

Pretrip Learning. Honestly downloaded the app to learn a handful of words before traveling to Iceland but the app is well made and simple enough to enjoy. I’ll continue learning well after my trip as well.

Interesting way to learn. 5min for free each day otherwise you pay. It makes Icelandic easier to learn, not easy but at least fun!

Saren Hill. Wonderful app! I’m going to Iceland in November and wanted to be able to speak some of the language. I’m able to actually retain the information. If I forget how to say a word or want to review I can look up words!

Great way to repeat. It’s like having a flash card buddy throw the language at you in various different ways of giving the answer to make your mind think more about the word itself.

Love it!. I’m moving to Iceland soon and this is really helping me progress quickly! It repeats the word a lot so you can actually learn it instead of just seeing the spelling. The pictures tie it all together. It’s great!

Drops knowledge. Excellent app, fun and informative. Keeps me interested, and that’s hard since I am easily ……,,,distracted! :) looking forward to learning Icelandic and based on my success I will move onto other languages. Most likely Italian, French and Arabic or Hebrew.

Fun and super helpful. This is such an easy and fun to use app. I am half Icelandic and wanted to brush up on some of the basics of the language. Eventually I hope to learn the language as fluidly as possible. For now, this little app is perfect!

Great app. The app is great! Lots of words for you to learn in ANY language. The only thing i think they could improve on is if the voice would say the word, then break the word down saying each part very clearly. Some Icelandic words can be tough 😅

Love it so far. Just starting on vocabulary. I haven’t gotten to any grammar or conversation but so far I love the sounds, the voice, the graphics, the movements, the colors, repetition, and basically everything. Using for Icelandic right now. Thanks!

better than Duolingo. I’ve tried using other apps and this one just makes it so much easier. I’m currently only using the free edition but plan on purchasing premium. Definitely worth giving a shot!

Very fun first lesson. I do Duolingo, Babbel, Mango. Now this. Certainly not the most complicated but also I only have done one round. What I see I like so far. The audio is very good to hear the native speaker’s intonations and even things like stops and breathy letters (Icelandic).

Excellent. I am impressed. It’s gonna take me while to fully understand the language. But what I have learned so far has been fun challenge

Easy start. The learning has an easy start, I enjoyed it very much. I watch Icelandic tv shows on Netflix and don’t mind subtitles but would like to learn the language and so far this is a great start.

Good, but lacking.. Great app for learning Icelandic. It was very hard to find a resource for this language. However, grammar is a big part of every language and this app doesn’t seem to teach it. Can I just not find it? Or is it a premium only feature? Other than that, pretty good.

Perfect app to learn. As someone who has been to Iceland and picked up slightly on some words... this app is incredible for learning the language. Very impressed and can’t wait to use it in less than a month when I go with my wife!

So wonderful!. My family has been trying to learn Icelandic to connect more with our ancestry. I was having a very difficult time learning the “traditional” way. This app was so much fun and I retained so much! Thank you!!!

Amazing. I have found this is the easiest app to learn a language on I have even tried computer programs schools use this is so much better just 5 minutes a day and all the words you learned are in your collection to review at any time so helpful

Amazing!. I’ve been looking a launguage to learn for a while. Then discovered Icelandic! However, other apps didn’t teach it well. There was just always something wrong. But with Drops, I’m really understanding it!

A decent intro!. I love the visuals and the interactive games! However, I’d prefer a bit more introductory explanation...like a basic run-down of the pronunciation of the alphabet before jumping into words like “mushroom”. It’s especially difficult to not have basics in something like Icelandic where the alphabet is completely different!
