very good. Got the free app so I could measure the light and sun into our apartment block as the property speculators want to block it with a new hotel. Will get the paid app for my partner who likes photography if it works well. Seems to be good and not many permissions - like that a lot!!

Simple and Easy to use. Works perfectly for my needs.

Very good!. Super useful. May not be exactly accurate but it is very helpful for determining if something is getting as much light as you think it is compared to the rest of your space.

Ads cover content. I have the free app. The ads cover the bottom row of icons, and are unmovable. Disappointing. How can I move to the pay app if I can’t see what I have?

Great app. Been shooting film for years. Using a light meter is a necessity. This app keeps one less item from taking up space in my camera bag. Highly recommended

Future Design Kevin “You Are Correct Sir!!!”. Great light meter and everyone out there looking for a hand out…”I suggest you do as your grand parents did and Get A Job Sir’s(or Madam’s)” This app is awesome and you cheap folks, having to pay for this app is not a problem if you care for plants and the proper amount light they receive, so they can grow up to be fine strapping plant specimens. Then again everyone that’s complaining about paying for this app(which is completely worth it) don’t even tip your servers at restaurants or bartenders after they close. To ingenious developers of this app do not worry about those cheap cable stealing complainers. As a nursery owner with several greenhouses I think this is probably one of the best light measuring devices for both indoor and outdoor besides the $109 cheap ones that won’t take a sneeze let alone outdoor use without a complete meltdown. I have not even thought of buying another “professional light meter” since I got this app. Thank you for helping my family’s garden and greenhouses.

Just gives zero.. It’s not bright out, a working light meter shows 1/60 second, f2, iso 800. Now, maybe that’s low, might be less than one lux, no idea. But if it is, add a decimal. 0.1, 0.01. Getting nothing but zero is useless and makes you questions if it’s working at all. I did try pointing at the sky. It quickly flipped back and forth between 1700 and 6. Anything ground level still zero. It’s plenty bright to take photos outside. I’ve taken several to verify.

Ads...... and dark design upgrade modal. Downloaded this and removed it within 15 minutes. Interface is great, but the pop up ad people are talking about is the prompt to upgrade to pro. One button and you’ve given then money. Close button is barely visible on this screen and all it takes is one time not paying attention. Feels icky and trying to trick users. No thanks.

This app gives completely wrong readings. I have the iPhone SE 2. Under 4 grow strips which should theoretically have an output of 2000 FC, this app only detects on 20 FC. Other apps I have tried give the correct number It also gives wildly different numbers depending on whether you use the front or back camera for some reason

This is not a free app. I downloaded this looking for a quick free app to measure lumens. When you download it, you have to agree to pay a one-time fee or get a 3-day free trial and pay $1.99/month that’ll start automatically billing. Not worth it to me. I deleted it immediately

Creepy. Upon install, the app repeatedly asked to have access to my clipboard contents. Why on earth would this app need that? Serious privacy concerns. Also note that it is no longer freemium as earlier reviewers have mentioned. You get a 3 day trial but have to opt in to be charged at the end of it in order to keep using.

Don’t buy this - it doesn’t work & no customer support.. What a huge disappointment. This doesn’t work. I foolishly paid for the pro and it literally stopped working after two days. And then there is no customer support. This app has successfully blocked all human interaction. They will only take your money

Don’t waste your money. Worst app ever. Got this a few days ago and it seemed to work fairly decent. Using it to compare lighting in different areas. Went ahead and paid for the pro version. Next day it will not work. Does absolutely nothing. Checked it off and on for the past couple of days and it still does nothing or at best gives some ludicrous reading then freezes up. Went to the feedback area in the app where it says u can contact them several times. Getting a message ‘trying to connect thank you for your patience’. Never connects. I guess I’m not THAT patient. Deleting this trashy worthless app from my iPhone X. I’ll never pay for the upgrade again until I use it several days with success.

Help page won’t load on app or website, unclear instructions. A friend recommended me to this app but they use the Macbook version. I was so excited to get something that actually reduced blue light, but I’m not sure if it even does that, and I have no way to confirm that or ability to contact the support team because they’re apparently both down. Considering I paid for the Pro subscription, this is very frustrating so I’m going to have to cancel it. If anyone is able to respond to this and offer suggestions, please reach out!

Doesn’t work. Installed and began the trial. Won’t give any reading - just stays at zero. Tried reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, adjusting settings within the app, and still nothing. On a 13 Pro Max that’s fully functional otherwise, and had been using another light meter app that worked without issue…

Questionable accuracy, security issue?. Seems to give widely varying readings in same light settings. The thing that worries me most is that it captures clipboard contents on load. Why is it doing that? If you use a password manager and have pw copied for something else then open this app it loads your pw.

Does not actually measure lux. The lux setting provides a reading in ppfd. Lux is measured in the tens of thousands, not hundreds, and it doesn’t provide accurate results when compared to other free apps. Went with another free light meter on the store after learning a little more about what I needed to measure. Too bad there isn’t an option for zero stars. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Confusing opporation. Should be really straightforward but it’s actually not which makes it inaccurate. Sometimes it works from the front camera and sometimes from the rear camera. I’m trying the free version so it’s I can’t switch the selection (always says front), but I have done a bunch of experiments covering one or the other and it’s always different. I’m not a photographer (using for simple measurements for mediating circadian rhythm) so I don’t need fancy features just want to measure and have it be somewhat accurate.

Accuracy. Fairly accurate if you look at the bottom average number. You have to hold it steady for a few seconds, then look at the average # below. I have compared it to some Lumens Brightness Charts! Not bad for FREE!

I shouldn’t have upgraded.. I used the free version for several months and it worked well enough for my purposes - light levels for orchids. I upgraded to the Pro version and app said Pro was enabled but none of the Pro features worked. I reloaded the app without any change. Sent an email to the developer and am waiting for a reply.

Simple, functional, useful. Nice, simple, straightforward app with good user interface. Good set of options make it very functional. The measurements seem reasonable and more importantly - they’re consistent. A source measured yesterday will be measured at the same value today. Also has a very nice explanation of terminology for the uninitiated. My only complaint is the overly frequent ads. Other users comment that the ads remain in the Pro version, so no reason to upgrade until this is changed. A definite 5-star app without the ad problem.

Poor bait & switch. For starters , look at all the unnecessary privacy data the app collects for no valid reason Second, you won’t get any use out of the app without up front payment There’s far better, more cost -effective apps out there that don’t try to steal & sell personal information

Works well. Using it for a few days now, works as advertised and has been useful for knowing if I am getting enough light early in the day. Could be useful for determining locations for plants as well.

Great features. Looks good to me I don't have a pro meter go check accuracy but it's much better than guessing. 5 stars for app.

Inaccurate. It just doesn’t work. It is very in accurate and under lower light conditions doesn’t register anything at all. Also, there are no instructions, and if you click on help you get an error message.

Does absolutely nothing. For some reason as soon as I downloaded this app in my phone I got a prompt asking me to sign into my google account. While I was deleting the app I got another prompt asking me to sign in to google again. I don’t know what that was all about. But anyways this app is a joke. When you press the “sun” button or hold the button it doesn’t give any readings. Waste of time.

Difficult to use. It should just turn on after being download it but it doesn’t and I don’t see an easy way to just tap anything that’s there andI don’t do well with difficult applications I just delete them if you want people to keep your stuff it should be easy to

It’s a light meter. What did you expect? Some glitchy pro things, able to acces pro features for free. Fun to play with, don’t know about practical use.

Doesnt feel accurate. Maybe I’m using it wrong, or maybe I don’t understand lighting, but I really don’t think this is very accurate. I was measuring the intensity of my grow lamps since I’ve got new bulbs and a new set up, and wanted to make sure I could get as close to this old set up as possible and maybe even get some extra lumens in there. The bulbs I was comparing are 840 lum vs 1200 lum, but the readings were all over the place. When looking at the 840 bulbs, I got an average reading of 340, even when it was two and three lamps “stacked” on top of each other (which I’ve heard from other plant people increases the intensity of the lumens on the plants). I was also getting readings of over 12,000 lum on a bulb and hood combo that I know is more dim than that, seeing as my plants are typically stretching under this light (low end recc of lumens for succulents is about 2,000). The readings just feel wildly unpredictable. This is more a gripe with my phone, but also be sure to know that front and back cameras take in light differently. A spot which would read 330 lum on my front camera read as 380 with the back. Even if the numbers are wrong, the “average” and “ratio” I found at least helped me set my lamps up in a better pattern.

No way this is accurate. I wanted to find the best place to put a new plant. I tried it on a place where some of my succulents are growing fine and it said my fc was 26. That’s really really low (like too low for anything to survive). It said that everywhere was around 14-77 fc. I think it really lowballs the light amount. I wasted way too much time with this and I still don’t know where I should put my plant

Handy, questionable accuracy. I do lighting design for work, so it is nice to have a light meter app on my phone for on the spot measurements, but it doesn’t seem to be very accurate. I did a few comparisons with a DLM112SD meter we have at work and they were very different.

Very disappointed. It only gives a light reading if pointed directly at a light source. Otherwise it gives a 0 when light is clearly present. This makes it worthless as a light measurement tool. I have the camera properly selected. I checked Help but there is nothing in help … literally that section is empty … I regret paying for this.

Great app—once you understand it. You can take a quick measurement with one tap, or press and hold the sun icon for continuous capture with averages. The back camera seems to be most accurate. If you wave it around in the area needed, you can measure the average amount of light.

Wildly Inaccurate. Open your camera and point it at something. assign a numeric value to the light level pointed directly at the sensor. you just created a lux meter that you can sell in the App Store..... this is a completely inaccurate way to measure light levels in a room. The main problem is that the sensor only detects light pointing directly at its field of view. Lux is a measure of light over a surface of one square meter. A real Light Meter measures light indirectly, that’s why they have that white globe around the sensor. The bottom line is that I tested this app beside a real light meter, and the results were wildly inaccurate. If you’re just looking for a toy to play with, then go ahead and pay the developer $3.

Shop. I did not realize how much of a difference there is between led and fluorescent lighting in my shop. I was able to measure each work station to direct or add lighting to make the lighting consistent . Ron

Very Handy!. This meter is easy to use, quick, and reliable. It gives you a very good idea of your lighting situation in a variety situations.

Insight into light distribution in my greenhouse. With this meter I now have a better understanding of the lighting in our greenhouse and have made a few adjustments. Thanks!

Almost too much information. Take some getting used to more options than my previous light meter

Doesn’t seem to work with iPhone 12..amongst other problems. Downloaded this to see if it was worth getting the pro version. The ads at the bottom prevent clicking on the bottom menu. The UI doesn’t seem to make sense to me. I don’t see speed, aperture, or ISO anywhere. Just FC and LUX. In fact I wonder if this is even a light meter for photography. If not, then my apologies for the poor rating. If you’re looking for a working light meter...I don’t think this is for you.

Subscription for a basic app that needs no maintenance?. Developers are really getting out-of-control with this subscription nonsense. Trying to charge a subscription for a simple app that just uses onboard sensors to read light levels and requires no maintenance or upkeep on the developers part is just laughable. It doesn’t even work. Sometimes it will say one value and then the next twice that value

Paid apps should be required to list the price before install. Yes, technically the app is “free”. The app opens to tell you in order to continue you must either purchase a monthly subscription or pay for the app upfront. I don’t have a problem paying for apps, but if you’re going to charge for it then just put the price on it and don’t pull the sketchy stuff were you say it’s “free” and then the app literally does nothing except take your money before you can do anything.

Fluctuates too much for accuracy. First, I just wanted to test a light. So I tested the beam on my wall. And it gave me a reading. 20. So then I tested a dark spot like my pocket. He gave me a reading zero. So I tested the same spot again and it gave me 20 again. I was amazed I thought this was good. I could repeat this over and over again. I thought wow what a wonderful app. Next, I decided to switch to the rear facing camera is it in the front, this is where the problems begin. Because I cannot actuate the camera while hold the phone flat against the wall. That was frustrating. So I switch back to the front camera. The reading that I just got for 20 is now too. That’s a huge difference. So I repeated that test over and over again and got the same result wild fluctuations.

Sketch. Immediately after install, the app asked for a credit card number for a one time $7.99 purchase or $1.99 monthly subscription. The purchase should be a secure transaction through the app store instead so we can avoid sharing credit card info with a secondary company.

Quite useless - Don’t download. Don’t download this. I paid the $2.99 to unlock pro thinking this app might function better and I was wrong. Don’t waste your time with this app it can’t read light at night at all. There used to be another app that I forgot the name of that did everything this app should be able to do and actually worked and it was free. The app functionality is trash and I wish I could get my money back and delete this garbage app.

Hacker: Copies clipboard without permission. I received a notification that this app had copied the contents of my clipboard. This means it had accessed it without me telling it to paste anywhere, and it did so without asking permission. This is a classic hacker move: your clipboard can contain sensitive information, which is then easily sent to the hacker. Who knows what else it’s reading? I will be deleting this app and avoiding anything by this developer ever again.

Not intuitive. Not enough help available for the novice user. For someone starting to learn about improving pictures it needs to be more user friendly. The help tab doesn’t work

Delivers on the promise. Does what it says it does (strangely so rare) with a clean interface. Simple, elegant. No needless registration. The price to remove ads is quite reasonable and supports the work this developer invests in this app. Bravo.

Doesn’t work at all. I opened the app and skipped the subscription screen. It then took me to the main app but they didn’t do anything. If you want a paid app then make it a paid app, and if you require payment to function, then don’t let me skip it. Give me some indicator that it doesn’t work without paying.

Pretty but Inexplicably Unsupported. I’ve emailed simple questions (pro member) twice over the last couple years without response. The support section in the app is completely blank. 1) Why would there be a separate setting to measure light indoor versus outdoor? Wouldn’t it stand to reason that you’d want the same sensitivity setting to make an accurate reading 2) Why isn’t there at least a brief explanation of what the settings are and how to properly use the app?

Seems good. Seems to do well but will use a professional par meter behind it.

Worthless rubish. You do wander how Apple would approve something that is clearly a scam.

Have I just been ripped off? Looks like a scam to me!!. Doesn’t work and I paid before I used.

Doesn’t work!!!. I want my money back!!! Pricks!

Subscription cancelled. I cancelled my subscription the same day I downloaded it and was charged a month later. When I go into subscriptions on my phone it shows it there with no way of ending it

Review. Useless app. Not worth 1c. Awful user interface

Doesn’t work. Doesn’t work

Easy to use. Great little tool to help figure out the right light for house plants. Excellent except one point. Not sure why the reading for the exact same spot is a different for claiming it’s inside vs outside - surely the light is the same despite where its purported to be??

You’re still grabbing my clipboard! WHY?!?. I’d rate this app NO stars because each time I open or switch to this app it “Pastes” my clipboard. What could you possibly need this for? If you respond... I’d happily change my review - if not, I will continue to label you a “Thief”!

Unfinished. Avoid. Unfinished and gives wildly erratic reads. Indoor/outdoor option doesn’t work well. One star rating is one too many.

Inaccurate and useless , 👎🏽. No good ,Inaccurate and useless , gimmick at best . Even on a fixed platform , dark out enclave it five vastly different readings 👎🏽

Not working at all. I am getting measurements ranging from 9lux to 2000 lux when I have change anything

Accuracy: questionable. Pointed my iPhone SE using this app at a LCD TV (not a HDR TV) nearly 3 metres away in a well lit room in the evening. At one consistent location the app measured 142,912 Lux. Keep in mind that 100,000 is the approximate Lux value of direct sunlight.

Do not buy. No help, does not work

Terrible. As soon as I paid for pro, it stopped working.

Nope. The app is free but doesn’t work unless you pay for it. Not deceptive at all.

Not user friendly. Poorly designed app, complicated navigation, no use at all

PRO feature is not working. Was good then seemed to just not work. Doesn’t update when using..... I’m looking for another app

Doesn’t work. Wasted my money. None of the features work. Scam.

Don’t bother. Downloaded thinking it was free to use. It’s not. U have 3 days free then pay an on-going subscription every month. What a rort. Not worth your time or money. Better off buying an app that actually lets you own the thing. Subscriptions are biggest scam that hit the App Store. If I was you, don’t support this model, it’ll just encourage more devs to do the same.

Inaccurate. Results were unfortunately inaccurate

Handy little app easy to use. Great app

Not accurate. Not even close to accurate. Held side by side with a NATA calibrated light meter which was showing 1200+ lux while the app was jumping between 250-300 lux.

Lid meter. Rubbish - was giving 340 Out side on a deck in mid morning -

Joke. Seemed to be good, then upgraded to the pro features before the three day trial ended using another device with the same Apple ID because it wouldn’t let me do it on the original device for some reason then it just didn’t take readings anymore from the front camera. It worked using the rear camera but it’s virtually impossible to use like that. I emailed for support and have heard nothing back so was refunded. Found something better anyway.

WASTE OF MONEY. This app does not work as expected. I tried to request a refund and its impossible. Don't waste your money.

Literally doesn't work. Doesn't do anything (and I'm a photographer, I know how to use these things). Terrible.

Subscription for this??. I was surprised to see that they want you to pay for a subscription to use this app. Are they serious? Who would pay monthly to use a light meter app?? Ridiculous what world we live in

no worky. This app is unusable. I’ve tried to run it on three different devices. The UI controls are unresponsive on an iPad Pro and iPad Air and on an iphone5 the bottom UI controls are absent (cut off). The app was fully functional when I purchased it before an update.

rubbish app. the app doesn’t even work it is useless

Payment. Would have been nice to know you had to pay after 3 days before loading it. I deleted it before using it.

Seems reasonable. Seems reasonable, app is ok, maybe the Pro version has more options, but I would think a save list with notes would be great.

Useless for photographers. Useless for photography only gives raw lux reading. Expensive waste of money.

Just bad. Doesn’t work properly. Tried pressing the sun button and holding it and it returns varying results. Uninstalling now.

Doesn’t work. None of the interface works. App prompts me to unlock additional features but I haven’t seen the basics work yet.

Possibly inaccurate. Appears to get very different readings between front and back cameras

Yes. Hi I LOVEthis app it makes me happy lie larry

Not free to use. Wants me to sign up for money taking out of my account just to try it…nup

Yeet. Yeet yeet yeet yeet

Nothing. Just not working at all!!

.. Useless , font waste your time

Trash. Doesn’t work

Scammy app. On launch wants you to subscribe to use app, with a almost invisible ‘X’ to close dialog. Tries to copy clipboard contents on every launch. Randomly launches you to websites and App Store within 30 seconds of using (advertising I presume). Freezes constantly. This App could be made to work if the dev cared about users, even with advertising (but on a banner, not by launching web pages randomly), but as it appears today I wouldn’t use this app.

Doesn’t work. Like title says app is a dud

Paul. I couldn’t get it to work.

Useful.. The manual could I inform better on spectral issues. Eg what is the algorithm concerning inside/outside. Is it assuming lamp spectrum?

Works amazing!. I tested this app side-by-side with my actual lux/par Meter and it was pretty well smack on keep up the good work guys

Don’t buy!!!. This app doesn’t work. Just wasted 5$

THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. I have just wasted my money. I have to be careful and cautious next time😂😂😂.

Good. It good

You’re downloading an ad. You’re downloading advertising for their pro version. The app version of click bait. Deceiving and will not buy this app even if I have to purchase an light metering app

Not working. Not work

Measures the light. Does what is meant to do, thanks for this app

Cost. Not until you open it is the cost revealed

Very Poor design.. The addition of the stupid Google adds right over the selection buttons is most annoying. So you say report this add and say it covers the content and the just give you another add in the same spot. Because of this I am deleting the app so you will not even come close to getting any in app purchases from me. So Long!

ask to pay. it ask to pay at begining

Blows. Seems like it does nothing to you pay them

Great app. Perfect app

Useless waste of time. App does nothing, literally nothing. It gives no reading, even though it says pro mode enabled.

Scam. Zzz

Absolutely the worst app , not even a maybe. Thanks

Intermittent readings. Readings are all over the place not consistant

Super easy. This app is super easy to use and perfect for school!!!

Does not work.. Paid for the pro version. Works 10% of the time if lucky. Don’t buy

Fake app. Fake app. Doesn’t work. Ask you to sign up for subscription. Deceptive dev.

Garbage app!! Don’t waste your money!!. I bought the app thinking I had to pay to make it work. I was wrong! The app won’t measure any light at all. Displays nothing when you tap or hold the “sun” symbol. If I could get I refund I would!!! Garbage app Note: I own an iPhone 8+

Very shady way to get your money. Don’t download. App works ok but the way they make you think that you are getting to try it is shady. Use a free app. Not worth it.

No instructions No support. I paid over $10 for this and there isn’t a “help” section. It’s blank. There are no instructions at all. The lumen numbers seem to change when I point a light at it but they aren’t consistent with what the flashlight manufacturers state. The development team needs to add instructions and maybe a 3 day free “full use” trial term

Doesn’t work. I compared the readings with my professional digital lux meter, NOT EVEN CLOSE. 50,00 actually lux read anywhere from 110,000-150,000. 👎

Great app. Works great. Simple and straightforward. There is a bug when it doesn’t read the values, to make it work just need to switch to front camera and back to rear. Add are annoying tho.

Only if you pay and still crap. Only if you pay but even then it is still crap as light indoors would not change but meter fluctuates 10 times

No longer supported. Inaccurate. Developer no longer supports app with email address that just bounces back. Avoid

Doesn’t work. Just shows a steady reading no matter what light level- dark or bright. And why should I have to log on to my Apple account to use it anyway? Is it trying to collect my password?

Lux meter. It would be nice to see the menu at the bottom of window without annoying advertising. I never did get the program to work. Too bad though.

Love it, quick and easy. Nice slick app. Appears to be working real well and I’m getting consistent readings with multiple scans.

Doesn’t work. Readings are completely off, spend the money and get an actual proper par meter

Defunct app. Completely non functional, reads 0 no matter where you point it, help button doesn’t even work. This is a dead app, why is it still on the App Store? How do I get my pro subscription money back?

Totally useless. No instructions, not intuitive, annoying ads for free use.... what is the point of the app....

Waste of 5 bucks. There is no instruction as to how to change the camera from front to back. Once on front camera it’s stuck there and hard to get sn accurate reading. Also, no support for this app. At all. Can’t even connect for feedback

I hate this. There are no instructions anywhere on how to use it so I have no idea how it even works. Right now I’m in my living room with a few lights in and it’s saying 0, which is impossible. I don’t understand the max and the average and the number in the middle and what they are all supposed to mean. I’m deleting it from my phone and I wasted 13$

Scam. This app is a scam. As you are using the free app a window pops up while holding the light read button. Where you thumb is the ‘yes’ to purchase button appears forcing you to buy the full version. No warnings. No conformation. Very shady

Not calibrated to my real light meter. There are some nice features here by the readings are close to half the readings on my real meter The front camera and back camera are widely different. The back camera is much closer to real lux readings than the camera that faces you or the front camera Like to see a Calibration feature

Readings, all over the place!. The first time I used it I wrote down the readings. The second readings were totally different. I tried a third time and deleted the app. It might be different if it gave you enough time to finish taking readings before it prompted you to buy the pro version.

Waste of time. Doesn’t work, inconsistent readings if you manage to get any readings at all. Don’t waste your time or money.

Bad.. Bad

Effective. Measures within reasonable error range

Rating System needs improvement. I have only used the app once for one location and I am forced to rate it okay if you want to play that silly game well then you deserve a 3 of out 5.

Amazing. So helpful

It’s bad. It’s bad

Useless. If an app charges monthly to perform a single task it should probably perform that task well, let alone perform it at all. Don’t waste your time. +1 star because I like the design/interface

Didn’t work. Refund money ASSP

Easy to use & a handy tool for Lumens. Checked lightbulb lumens successfully and you can too with this app. Front and rear camera choices and indoors and outdoors. Simple and just right. Darker areas with symbols (outdoors/rear) are choices and the star/gear-like symbol is for taking measurements. Enjoy!

Excellent. Really works

Suspect. Downloaded and shortly deleted. Seems you have to pay even to try. I don't mind spending a few bucks for a forever subscription for a good app, but not one untested by me.

Not free not good. Waste of time and money

no good. i compared it side by side to an actual light meter and the apps reading was off and kept getting different readings . i don’t recommend it

No instructions. I have no idea on how to use this, except for a couple of functions I figured out by myself. It has a heading for “Help” but there’s nothing there. Why are there settings for “indoor” and “outdoor” that give different readings?

Simply accurate. I was able to determine where I was getting the ideal LUX, with an easy to read, real time readout, in bold numbers you can read very easily. Perfect, must have app

Completely Inaccurate. I used this app and was unsure of its accuracy so I purchased a REAL light meter. Both the lux and FC are no where near accurate. Example: I just used this app in my window to measure full sun. Side by side by side, phone measured 60 FC, and the light meter measured 1,200 FC. I test throughout the room and this app is wildly inaccurate. Please don’t spend money on this.

Waste of Money. Very inaccurate and locks up. Have to close the app and reopen to get it to work. Also, option buttons covered by adds. I deleted it after 20 minutes

Functional but many apps don’t require a subscription. This is a functional app but there are many equivalent apps which do not require a subscription. This app is not worth the subscription cost.

Not intuitive to use. On an iPhone X, the ad bar at the bottom covers up the icons for selecting options, so major UX fail there. And poor job explaining how to best use the app - please take a minute to explain to the user how (and when) each option should be used.

Totally impossible to cancel/delete before they charge you. It is a run around.. Tried to cancel the app shortly after I downloaded it I said I wanted to try a free app for January as they were planning on charging me all kinds of fees

Paid app (ok) masquerading as a free app (not ok..at all). Hard to respect developers who are deceptive from the very start. An app that does literally nothing but load a payment screen is NOT a free app and shouldn’t claim to be one. This is a hard no and immediate delete for me.

Accuracy and repeatability. Using I-phone 10 I found the readings had too much variation and didn’t repeat accurately enough. Did not buy the paid version so this may have some influence results, don’t know.

Why Is There A Monthly Subscription?. What an absolute scam and disingenuous way to make money. There should be no reason at all I should be paying monthly for a light meter. Like, get out of here. What is the world coming to? How do these people sleep at night scrounging money? Get it together and have 1 fee. So rude…

Absolutely Useless. Does nothing and when you select help you get nothing. An absolute scam. I paid before trying. So I guess there is value in getting a lesson covering my level of ignorance. There should be a way to get my money back but not being able to firms up my lesson.

Beware of this sketchy app. Every time I open it, I get a notification that it’s reading/copying my clipboard. I know there are times where this action is useful but there is no reason this light intensity measuring app needs to know what my clipboard has. I deleted it right away

All lights matter!. Extremely grateful to discover this app through the work of Dr. Huberman!

Free trial doesn’t seem to work iPhone 12 Pro. The free trial doesn’t seem to work at all. The app launches, shows the premium paid options, but when trying the ad-supported version, just shows 0 for lux.

Inaccuracies. I ran this under a grow light and ran it next (in the middle) to two different LUX meters and the app showed way less LUX than both meters which were only a few numbers off of each other due to placements. Wouldn’t trust this at all.

Great app!. Really nice free of charge light meter...highly recommend, though never compared it to a professional, but looks reasonably good.

Lumens?. I have an iPhone X. I wanted to measure color warmth and lumens per sq ft. Couldn’t figure out how. Another review said the ad bar was blocking buttons. Maybe that’s why. The info button returned no useful instructions. The almost full screen ad for the pro version pops up constantly. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how this app got so many stars. It’s useless.

Does not reset itself. I have to get out of the app to reset it . Also, app has lost its ability to show lemons in real time on the screen. Only the average level continues to function.

Total waste. I paid for the premium and wish that I had not. 1st the front and rear cameras seem to be confused. 2nd the app measures 1/2 the number of foot candles of an actual light meter at best and in many cases measured 0 in an office with 50 fc minimum. One star minimum makes this app a superstar compared to its actual worth

Stopped working. Save your time and money. I took maybe a dozen measurements, then all measurements went to zero. I figured this was a not-subtle way to get me to buy the Pro version, so I did. No change. I restarted the app, no change. I restarted the phone, no change.

Works well. I’ve had expensive light meters (Weston’s) and this works just as well.

No support from customer support. Paid for Pro and it worked fine until latest update and now I can’t even open the app. Have not heard back from customer support after many attempts to reach them using the support email shown here.

Very helpful. Use all the time

Light meter. Easy to you, accurate results

Too many ads. Way too many ads. Can hardly use this without ads popping up or the app asking you to recommend or review it. Used for less than five minutes and was a complete waste of my time.

Disappointed. Light levels are way off compared to professional light meters. Sometimes up to a 50% difference between the two. What is worse, is that I do not see a way to calibrate the app at all. I do own the paid version of it btw.

App collects more data than it needs too. I’m also seeing that it’s taking the value I have copied to clipboard. I have no idea why the app needs this. The app does what it claims to do but overall not worth the intrusion

Trash. This is a garbage app. I kept getting a pop up over the buttons requesting a $3 upgrade that I didn’t want. The conformation and payment were done with the thumbprint. So it popped up as I was trying to leave the app, so instead of leaving the app my paypal was charged $3. This is a garbage app.

Try the other apps. The app description is very misleading. Once you download it and open it, you’d automatically registered for a 3 day trial and pay $$$ thereafter. It was painfully impossible to cancel the subscription. I was charged for the first month.

Total trash.. After loading the app I tried to run it. It did not show any ability to measure light levels. Instead it just kept trying to get me to purchase the “UPGRADE”. Not likely. I think all the other ratings where put up,by their own people.

Easy Consistent. Easy to use. Consistent results. Thank you for this app!

Seems to work well. Deducting two stars for letterboxing on iPhone Xr. If it were fully free I wouldn't mind, but if I'm going to pay I'd like it to use the whole screen.

Thank you Adobe. This basically displays what the built in camera measures, fairly simple app. Would have been $2 or somewhere there about in past to purchase outright. Don’t think there are advances in future that would justify regular payments.

This is a scam.. Hard to use, not intuitive. As I was trying to figure it out I accidentally hit the pro section which made it a pay app immediately. Otherwise, it’s a pay app after three days. First impressions it’s awful.

Misses the actual light level by a light year.. Front side and back side measurements off when compared to a real calibrated light meter. Two tests, bad results: front side with a real pro light meter 820 lux vs this app 277 lux. And the back side with a real pro meter 1910 lux vs this app 778 lux.

Are you kidding me.. Downloaded this app 5 minutes ago. I might have tolerated the obnoxious banner ad if the app had actually worked but it didn’t. It kept freezing and/or telling me that my 6,000 foot candle setup was a mere 24 foot candles. Very glad I didn’t purchase it.

Use for live video feed. I don’t know it this was meant for live video but it works perfect for camera adjusting.

Overwhelmingly underpowered. This is awesome does exactly what I need! Had no idea my lights were so under powered.

Copies clipboard - beware. When you launch the app you’ll see “light meter copied from the clipboard” This seems to mean that the app is tracking URLs you visited on your phone. There’s really zero reason it needs this private information in order to measure light levels.

Doesn’t seem to be accurate. Although I don’t have a lux meter handy, I have a hard time believing that my flashlight is capable of putting out 3.9 million lux of illumination as the app claims when shining the light directly into the camera (the Sun is around 128k lux when measured at the Earth’s surface).

Please Add more. I feel something is missing

NOT a “Free” app, don’t bother downloading!. Not sure how developers get away with this, listing the app as “Free” with in app purchases. Sure it’s free to download but it doesn’t do anything at all unless you agree to purchase a .99 cent per month subscription or pay the $4.99 on time purchase. Useless and deceptive!!

Just ok for free. The app will try to get you to upgrade constantly. It also does not have a reset button but you can exit the app of course. My biggest concern is that depending on if you say you are inside or outside you will get different readings. This is concerning

Listen. I got this for science class and the whole time it kept telling me to buy the pro version so if you fix that the app will be 5 star

This app is terrible. The app does absolutely nothing, it is not a light meter. When you open the app they do not let you continue to see what it does unless you pay for it. I want my money back.

Needs directions. I’m personally not familiar with any lift meter so better directions would be helpful

easy to use but lacking in lumens values. Please add option to measure light in lumens value to allow comparison of apples to apples. This will make it easier to compare the actual output in comparison to what is listed on the package.

Use to work great. This use to work great until I bought the pro version. I will be in a bright building and it will say 1-3 foot candles. Then glitches to 400 or some crazy insane number for a second and back down to 1-3, when it’s probably around 30-50 foot candles.

Won’t work. I bought the premium for $7.99 and can not get anything to happen. I read the help menu. I have held down the “sun” button. Where is the premium add insult that are supposed to be enabled. I wish it would work but so far a waste of $8.

Paid to Upgrade, App Won’t, Developer Won’t Respond. I paid to upgrade to the pro version, but after being charged $3.99, the app will not upgrade. It, in fact, repeatedly has a pop-up telling me to upgrade. I have emailed the developer twice over a week, and can not get a response. Avoid this scam.
