VPN Windscribe: Fast & Secure App Reviews

Bad experiences since install. The app has been a major pain in almost every way. Constant disconnects and configuration issues have made me need to manually go reset the app almost every time I unlock my phone across two different devices. Today it stopped working altogether. Reinstalled, can’t even log in. App UI is broken. I bought a week with IVPN, who seems to be a more favorable company overall anyway (and who I meant to switch to earlier but Windscribe auto renewed). We’ll see how that goes. To be fair, Windscribe on PC has been nearly flawless. And their track record is very good compared to most VPN companies. The product is fine. It’s just the app that has been nothing but trouble.

Why would you fix something that ain’t broken??. They added granularity to network configuration and it bugs the crap out of me. This whole “auto secure individual networks” should’ve been optional. I’m in a country where the government constantly breaks different internet protocols because they don’t want you to have access to free internet and they know they can’t just shut down the internet or the whole world will know about it. So everyday, I have to try different protocols a couple times to get a stable VPN connection. Before this update, I used to just change the protocol in the connection preferences and just reconnect. But now, there’s a preference per wifi network too and I have to change both the global protocol and per wifi. EVERY TIME. There is a auto secure switch to, supposedly, disable this per wifi network behavior, but it doesn’t work. Actually if I turn it off, I cant connect to any server at all. I tap the VPN switch and it spins around for a sec and turns off automatically. Also when auto secure is off, every time I launch the app it pops up to recommend me to keep it on and SUPER annoying!! You hear me Windscribe? Why did you guys tried to fix something that was not broken in the first place? I’m a very satisfied customer for like 4 years and this update frustrates me to the point that I don’t want to protect my privacy at all, if it’s going to cost my sanity.

Overall, Amazing VPN!. This VPN is great. It has a sleek design, it's simple to use, and it has a variety of features that you can experiment with. Me personally, I really enjoy how the R.O.B.E.R.T configurations allow you to block specific content on websites and applications. Furthermore, the amount of servers there are on the paid and free plan is also something amazing. Along with the 6 connection protocols. Those combined, you have lots and lots of combinations of servers and protocols to choose from. For me, all of this would give this VPN 5 stars, however there's a reason why I gave it 4. The coverage in China isn't the best. My first 4 days into my trip, I was successfully able to connect to LA, NYC, and Paris servers without an issue. The days following, I was completely unable to connect to any server, no matter what protocol I used. Additionally, the app just fails to connect or even attempt a connection at times. On multiple occasions I have tapped the big power button to try and connect to a server, with no animation playing or any signs of an attempted connection. Overall, this VPN is great, and I would recommend it, even for use in China.

Probably a “5”, but I am still pre-intermediary.. Mostly very good in my experience. What’s VERY fascinating to me is exploring international news targeting based on IP address! Yahoo News, for instance, displays surprisingly similarly biased coverage on global affairs (as it does in the US). When using mainstream news conglomerates, as such, you will notice a pervasive angle in general coverage of events, demonstrating a level of orchestration which you don’t see so blatantly obvious, for instance, on X. Sometimes the VPN disables certain videos and comment pages (like on Yahoo), but that may be (and probably is) an issue with all VPNs, and isn’t unique to Windscribe. Disclaimer: I’m somewhat “early” in my “privacy” and “security” journey, and am of rather non-technical persuasion. (Windscribe) is a positive exercise for me along that journey; particularly in observing coordinated mainstream media agendas, which I hadn’t realized so often transcend local borders.

Slightly snarky (but very effective) service, great app!. Although their support, as seen in responses on the review page, can be “terse” almost to the point of rudeness, it is nonetheless accurate and, at least in my case, very helpful. Their suggestion, all 4 words of it, immediately took care of the problem I had. The app works very well, the aesthetics are nice, it has lots of options, and, unlike most apps of this sort, have an amazing subscription system. To be fair, I caught it on sale at a Mac geek site, but even the retail pricing is astounding for what you get. A great buy.

Amazing.. I’ve been using the free version of Windscribe for a while and bought a full subscription with the Black Friday deal. I started having problems connecting with my Airplay, CarPlay , and my printer. I searched the app and found out how to get help with Windscribe’s AI “Garry.” Best experience I’ve ever had with a chatbot. Was able to fix my issues and my issues within my issues. Easily to understand. Like talking to a super chill person that’s incredibly knowledgeable. I may just renew my subscription next year to chat with Garry. Awesome app. Awesome service.

Weird bug. I’ve used Windscribe for a while now, and it works fantastic, so long as I can use it, I’m sticking with this VPN, if you need it, or even just want it, it’s absolutely worth it for the unlimited plan. Random bug recently happened though where it locked into IKEv2 500 and wouldn’t let me change it, I need UDP for my use and I couldn’t get it to change no matter what. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling it fixed it, but obviously it’s a bit of a hindrance. Otherwise this VPN is basically perfect for what I need.

Non-functional 90% of the time. Almost every time that I switch Wi-Fi networks, switch from cellular to Wi-Fi or vice versa, or just try to switch my vpn location when I'm connected to the same network, the entire device goes offline in a way that can't be remedied from the app. I have to go into the ios settings app and try to enable and disable the VPN several times from there, close the Windscribe app, and then finally, maybe, it will start working again from the app. There seems to be periods of time where this doesn't happen, but it has recently returned to a state where it just does this constantly. It's so frustrating and takes up so much of my time. I love Windscribe but this app is abysmal. I only still use it because I pay for Windscribe.

Great way to start VPN. I’m a power user and have known about the advantages of VPN for years. But I never wanted to go to the trouble of learning about how to do it. Recently I needed to. When I found out that Windscribe was free & easy to use, I decided to give it a try. I’ve been using it for a week now and I’m very pleased. I’m surprised at how easy it is and how well it works. There’s no doubt that my Internet speed decreases but then I don’t have such reliable internet where I am. As I use it I learn more and more about VPN. So I think it’s a great way for people to get started — at least it has been for me so far.

Awesome but one thing. So I just got this app because I saw it had some really good reviews and it’s not complicated to get started with either. But the only thing that I don’t like about this is that the guy/girl or company that owns this app has an attitude and I don’t really know how much I should trust or accept the fact that he/she can’t control his/her attitude and I’m not trying to send any negativity but that is one this I want to address P.S I am a 14-year-old that downloaded this to help me out with some things and I don’t want to send any negativity like I said but it’s just the attitude I’m not impressed by. Hope you understand ❤️

Pretty good one issue. Glitches when phone goes to sleep. Works decently fast most of the time. Specifically, will not reconnect to the VPN servers without the app being shut off after the screen turns off which happens frequently with a mobile device. Also, every time I switch to the app it asks for a review even after reviewing which is a minor annoyance until I have to switch to the app more frequently due to the first issue. I’ve used Windscribe for a couple years and have been happy overall with only minor connection challenges prior to the latest update.

Happy with the service 😍. I purchased Windscribe's Windflix server to watch Netflix US outside the US. However, after enjoying the unlimited data and fast servers, I decided to upgrade my account to pro version. It's totally worth using it. Especially if you are living in a country where a lot of internet services are restricted you should definitely get a VPN and Windscribe is the safest, fastest, easiest to use VPN provider out there. Even the free version is awesome and easy to use. They give you 10GB of data which is pretty generous as compare to other VPN companies. They will be giving you 2GB of data at the best which their free servers are not as fast as Windscribe's servers. You all should try Windscribe. Loved it 😍

OK. Apparently, I confused my Dessktop App with this iPhone App and complained about the WebRTC Leak problem not being addressed in this app. But, this app doesn't even address that problem. It's not clear to me that it is addressed or even applicable on cell phones anyway. So, the problem is on other devices like PCs and perhaps, elsewhere, but not applicable to this app. I messed up! So, my mistake. I was wrong. This iPhone app has nothing to do with the issue. I apologize for trashing this Windscribe iPhone App. I did so out of pure ignorance. I'm no tech expert and I went too far by applying the criticism to this App. Sorry. Here's 5 Stars! PEACE

Bad attitude from dev.. I’ve been using free version of this app for a days to see if it fits my needs or. I live in a country that gov blocks VPN, most of them don’t work at all or a few of them works very slow. Surprisingly this one works well so I decided to buy the yearly plan. Before purchasing I wanted to read the reviews. In negative reviews, developer responses is so rude, he doesn’t talk professional at all, he just blaming users who gave him negative reviews, Im saying “he” because it’s just one person not a company, companies customer support or developers never talk impolite and unprofessional with their customers like saying: “if you don't like the app just delete it” or “it’s just your device see my app rating is 4.7” So yeah I’m not gonna trust about my privacy to a “man” that can’t control his attitude at all! I’m saying “man” because I don’t believe this app belongs to a company, even if it does, that’s more worse for a company to hire people like that! Many people wouldn’t care these kind of things but when I’m gonna pay near 100$ per year I would expect more professional attitude! Sorry for my bad English, it’s not my native language.

Fantastic VPN Service.. Been using Windscribe for over a year now and it has never dissappointed. I was originally looking for a way to block in-app and website ads and used AdGuard for about a year, but eventually it just stopped working - ads would show through or at least take up screenspace despite links not working, and website hidden popups never went away. Even using their DNS address(es) didn't work. Aside from Adguard, I've used a couple other of the "big name" VPN's like Surfshark (similar issues to adguard) and Norton (safety issues) and just couldn't justify the value of the subscriptions. Using Windscribe, it does pretty much everything I'd expect a VPN to be capable of, and on top of that it blocks ads across any website I've visited with the DNS filter. All that for just nine bucks a month is pretty killer. I think Windscribe has to be one of the most - if not *the* most consumer friendly VPN services out there, and with both mobile and desktop applications it's incredibly convenient.

Connection ALWAYS drops. I’ve used Windscribe since the beginning, so close to the beginning that I still have a lifetime plan. I decided to pay for the static VPN, and for a while it’s been great, but since iOS 14, Windscribe and it’s support have failed me more times than I can count. I’ve read other reviews of the connection on the iPhone dropping constantly. This happens to me just like the other reviewers say. Whenever I leave or connect to WiFi off of cellular, Windscribe drops the connection, and doesn’t even tell me. I have manually go into the app, turn it off, then turn it back on again. This is the only way to get it working. I’ve emailed support more times than I can accurately say, but they have been unhelpful to the extreme. They keep suggesting that I change the connection protocol (doesn’t work), reinstall the app (doesn’t work), and I even erased my phone to factory settings to test it, and still nothing. You would expect if you pay for a service that they would provide you with support when their product doesn’t work, but sadly that’s not the case so far with Windscribe.

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve used Windscribe for about a decade. I’ve strayed once or twice to others but I always return because nothing else is as good. There are ways to test if your VPN is functional, and Windscribe always passes. Unfortunately many other companies do not. Over the time I’ve used them they made improvements and I’ve had to contact customer support. Garry of course but also others. They’ve always been friendly, attentive to my needs, and after they reviewed a request of mine, they actually implemented a change that I personally found very useful. I highly recommend Windscribe.

Thanks developers for a wonderful app. First and foremost thanks to the devs for creating such a wonderfully useful app. I enjoy the different options it offers in terms of internet security. However I’d like to offer some feedback as to how it may be improved further: I’ve been experiencing lag on my Mac mini on macOS Catalina with the app installed. To be fair it was already experiencing some lag before I installed the app, but this seems to be causing even more performance issues. On my iPhone X on iOS 13.3 it has stability problems when connecting to my 5G WiFi connection at home. If there’s anything the team can do to enable the ability to switch the VPN on/off easily from the settings app, that would be greatly appreciated thanks! One last important thing, I greatly enjoy and appreciate the adblocking capabilities of the service but I would love more than anything to be able to manage the specific settings of the service from the app itself rather than have to log in to the website to change those settings. Keep up the excellent work Windscribe team! We appreciate your efforts to keep our information secured from being used maliciously. Your our cyber heroes!

Questionable app and obnoxious developers replies. Bought the app through one of the tech sites. Sometimes have issues with connectivity such as... using Best Location which is Honolulu server. It does NOT work! Must manually choose servers. Also it doesn’t work well when traveling. Was in Vancouver for the weekend and chose the Vancouver servers and NONE of them worked as in NO connections! The reliability is questionable! Same issues when returned to Seattle. Had issues with connecting to a server. Tech site refuses a refund and company support refuses a refund for its product Edit... Received several Apple emails from developers about the review. The reply emails are wisecrack remarks about refunds and low rating which dropped to 1 star from the continued emails. It’s almost harassment. Don’t offer their app through 3rd party sites. If your app don’t work well, fix it or offer a refund It’s condescending and obnoxious that any developers would do such things. Sound like a child with the smart aleck remarks. It’s Your product so support it including any sales of it that the Company decision to sell through 3rd party sites. Makes one question if any of the positive reviews are authentic or not.

I have frequent issues.... I have this VPN drop numerous times in one day. Sometimes the app itself is even so troublesome that I can’t even disconnect, keeping my phone in a state of limbo while being unable to make phone calls, use internet or GPS (which has really screwed me over sometimes). I paid for a year of this and am quite disappointed. I am not sure if this is normal for VPNs. On the bright side- their new app update is much better. Edit: the developer responded saying the app would have zero impact on phone calls & GPS. I’m not saying it has a direct impact- I’m saying the fact the VPN drops and attempts and struggles to reconnect and disconnect so many times leaves my phone in a state where I can’t get any internet connection and I actually have experienced multiple situations in which I have physically seen the phone cycle through and keep my phone call “attempting to ring” as it tries to reestablish a connection to the VPN- same with GPS. I found their response to be very unprofessional sounding as well, I am going to contact their support on their website.

Poor customer support. If you dare to say anything slightly unbecoming concerning their service or about the slow response from them when you have an issue they tend to get get very defensive instead of putting the customers concerns front and center. When you ask about solutions to specific issues they want to send you off to a group discussion to find an answer and fix it yourself. It’s almost as if the support staff really don’t have a clue as to how to handle issues or help the customer in resolving them. Sending me a screenshot of their app working while implying that mine is, which I sent back a screenshot of mine showing what the issue is and that it wasn’t functioning correctly. I’m not a computer wizard but I’m not ignorant either. After seeing their response I downgraded their rating to one.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST VPN! (After trying ma..). I started using Windscribe VPN shortly after its release. Having watched many features constantly being added to it has been great to witness. Like the finest software developers WS is still getting small changes. The difference is it operates very fast and supports protocols most would expect with areas to customize or fine tune whatever protocol you choose. It’s also solid as a rock! No strange error messages while doing the most simple of tasks. Do yourself solid and install the free trial. WS is really a winner. And I forgot to say how fast their team responds to any and all support/advise questions you may have. Read the newsletters everyone can view from inside the app. You will love the staff. But you have to have some sense of humor!!

Confused. I have this mobile application three out of five stars because I just had an issue today where I couldn’t use the Internet even when I’m connected to my WiFi or when I’m using my cellular service provider. I’ve restarted my phone numerous times and was about to resort to factory reset my iPhone until I had seen the name of this app somewhere in my settings where I had thought that it might be the reason why I had no access to Internet, for which was true. I have it installed on my Windows PC and will continue to use it on that but I won’t redownload it on my iPhone. I don’t know, maybe one day I’ll reinstall it to try and figure out why I had this issue…

Decent vpn, horrible app. Been on Windscribe pro for 2 years now and it’s wonderful on the desktop. On iOS however they just can’t seem to figure their app out. Over the last two years there have been minimal updates to the iOS app and its functionality continues to worsen while they continue with less important work on things like the widgets. A quick stop into their discord will show you how long issues have been unresolved on iOS. Thankfully you can ditch their app completely and use a custom config which I suppose doesn’t fix the problem but it sure beats using this. Overall the vpn networks they provide work great for streaming or unblocking content but downloading custom configs on iOS is far from an ideal process.

Best and only VPN suitable for people in dictatorship countries…. If you live in a country with strict censorships like iran or other dictatorships, windscribe is your only and best option, don’t look elsewhere and dont waste your time and money on overrated VPNs like nord or wireshark or others, all they do is just promoting and advertising, in practice they dont even connect, let alone bad privacy or speed. Im glad i found this Gem ( windscribe) There is a saying, good product doesn’t need advertising, exactly like windscribe. I hope the team keep workong on its app, love it!

iPhone app drops connection. I’ve been a Windscribe user now for about two years. Their desktop and browser apps are generally excellent, current running on my MacBook and desktop as well as an entertainment and streaming server. They have the best support I’ve seen for Linux of any VPN provider, with releases for multiple distro s, package managers, and architectures, unlike most others which give you only a .deb if that and leave you on your own. The iPhone app, however, has been frustrating since the update as it drops connection. A lot. I used to be able to turn it on and it would persist across networks as I moved from WiFi to over the air throughout the day, but now it simply drops and doesn’t even indicate that it has. Every switch, even to known connections, requires a manual reconnection, each and every time. Please fix it. It’s much more frustrating now than it used to be.

It’s Okay. alright so i’ve been using this app for around a year now and when i first got it, it was working and it was great. i didn’t like how you only had a little data (idk what it’s called but when you turn the vpn on it uses it) and i would just run out of it really fast and i’d have to wait a long time to get more. but i didn’t really care about that because i didn’t use it to much. when i tried to use it a couple of days ago though, it wouldn’t connect to the wifi. i think it’s because i was at school because i’ve never had a problem with it before, but i needed it at school so i could text people and stuff. i ended up just downloading a different vpn and deleting this one but i’m downloading it back because it has features that others don’t. and i gave it 3 stars because when you wanna watch something but it’s not available in your country, you can just use this app and change the country and it works. it’s pretty good but it could be better.

Was working well until…. This app was working well until about a couple of months ago. At times the app will not let the phone connect to wifi. When this first happened I thought that it was the phone. I restarted and reset it only to experience the same issue. It wasn’t until I deleted the app that I was able to connect to wifi. I reinstalled the app and it worked fine for a few weeks. Then it started doing the same thing again today. Customer support will give you generic help. Disappointing since it’s obvious that other people are experiencing the same issue. Please provide an update to this once good app.

Secure, fast, private, reliable. I’ve used at least a dozen (most of them paid) VPN services for over 15 years now. I first used Windscribe in 2016, but have also used others in parallel. Windscribe is the one I have always returned to because the service is fast, reliable, full of useful features for all my devices (one of the only with a GUI app for Linux), reasonably priced, and has proven its customer privacy claims in court. They also have a twisted sense of humor, if that’s a plus for you. I’m finally done playing the field, Windscribe is becoming my one and only starting now.

Worst VPN out there. Does not work and has not worked since 2019. I have contacted support and have been unable to get my app to work since the owners changed. They do not give a &$@$ about customers and charged my card for an extra despite providing no service or help. DO NOT use Windscribe. They also request and default to using your precise location for themselves, and while you can toggle it off it is completely contradictory of the function of the app. Update to the response: I have contacted support and the app suddenly started to function again, only after mentioning potentially initiating a chargeback via my credit company though and not after my multiple initial requests. While obviously it may be unrelated the company nor its associates have done anything to make me feel as though my information is safe nor have they made me feel like I am getting all the service advertised/payed for. Based on the responses I received I, personally, will be cancelling and feel as though I have been cheated in some form. Previous issues with the company were able to be resolved in days, my latest issue took approximately 10 months to resolve despite frequent logins and attempts on different devices. I truly hope for your other customers that this was an isolated incident but I will never be returning and will ensure all my friends and family never use this service.

Reliable. I use three VPN services and in the 6 months I've used Windscribe, it has proven to be the most reliable by far for maintaining a connection. Windscribe VPN is easy to set up and even easier to use. The Pro version is very reasonably priced. There aren't as many U.S. server locations compared to the other two VPN services I use, but that's okay. There are enough choices for now and Windscribe will probably continue to add more in the future. Windscribe provides a surprisingly helpful and comprehensive online chat feature that can answer any questions you have about the service. This is a great VPN with no discernible downsides I've seen in the relatively short time I have used it. Definitely 5 stars and strongly recommended.

This is horrific. It was great at first then my wifi slowed down my phone was glitching a lot during it which is not normal because I have a new phone . Not to mention it keeps everything after deleting . I deleted the app and it kept everything on Netflix (saying I was still in the UK ) and my wifi(saying vpn was still their ) . And while it said I was still in UK everything that’s is on UK Netflix was grey or blacked out . After a while and many tries of reloading everything I got everything back to normal . Knowing I almost bought the yearly plan sickens me . I also noticed that the developers responses seem very very rude towards their customers. As if their are not the people keeping ur app going . I may consider re downloading if these issues are fixed !!!

No VPN Better. I often travel between Chicago & Asia needing a solid & reliable VPN for online security, and to use region specific apps & websites that won’t work unless they think I’m in the USA… and Windscribe has worked without fail since I subscribed about 4 yrs ago. I gladly pay for Windscribe’s paid service knowing they’re using my payments to provide great service instead of selling my personal info to get paid like other “Free” VPNs. ☝🏻Nothing worth having is ever free. OMG never trust your information to offshore VPN services lol. Despite paying for Windscibe I still offer my thanks and gratitude for their great unfailing VPN that’s as genuine a private VPN as it gets which is absolutely necessary for my online activities around the planet 🌏

It’s not just a VPN.. This is the one. Hands down best VPN I’ve ever used and I’ve been using them for a decade to circumvent censorship. I like these guys so much I’ve actually been a subscriber of them for a number of years. You have many different security options, protocol options, network configurations, proxy settings and content blockers. Comes with regular updates, very fast and informative support from real humans to an intuitive AI chatbot (I don’t like AI but I love Gary), simultaneous connections on one account, you name it they probably have it as a feature. I do not ever see myself using another VPN service in the future. I cannot speak highly enough of them, the support team has done a lot of work helping me out and would do it for anybody.

Doesn’t work. I downloaded Windscribe to try before renewing my ProtonVPN subscription because it was identified as a very good VPN. Sadly I couldn’t evaluate it because upon installation I was greeted with an upgrade paywall with a message that my free usage exhausted and I needed to wait until May 9 — which is odd because it is May 9th. This was odd as I’ve never used Windscribe before, but decided to wait a few hours and check again. Well 3 hours later I reloaded the app and was greeted with a message informing me that my registration was flagged as suspicious preventing me from accessing Windscribe’s free version, but I could upgrade to Pro to use the app. This is very strange as I’ve never used Windscribe. The only issue I can think of is that I subscribed using Apple authentication and selected the Apple relay option which hides my email — which I do with every free subscription as a precaution to prevent my data being sold. If Windscribe doesn’t work with that option it shouldn’t be offered as a signup option. This is unfortunate as I was indeed willing to consider Windscribe but they have elected to disqualify themselves.

Free trial and data not collected. 2 things that immediately grabbed me. The app’s App Store page says “data not collected.” Most other vpn apps collect some user data. With windscribe you don’t even need to provide an email address. Second grab was the 10 GB of free monthly data usage. This a good amount to test if their VPN service works for your needs before buying a subscription. There’s really no reason not to try it out. Worked for me when the more popular ones didn’t or didn’t provide any trial whatsoever. Definitely give this one a try.

By far the best VPN service. I never thought I would voluntarily pay for a VPN service until I encountered Windscribe. Their free trial is just over-the-top generous, the service works perfectly, the Netflix server locations are super useful and most of all their security bot R.O.B.E.R.T. is something I wish I had my entire life. There are simply too many things that make me love Windscribe. The app used to be buggy (couldn’t disconnect/connect to vpn randomly) but since the last upgrade it’s perfect, you can customize an « à-la-carte » plan if you don’t need all locations, marketing emails (and I’m ashamed to say it) are just the best I’ve ever seen, their Twitter is hilarious, their online help bot is 1 - actually helpful 2 - super cute and the devs are just nice people you can talk to and will help you figure out what’s wrong instead of taking 2 weeks to send auto-generated « thank you for your feedback. We’re trying hard to improve your experience blabla... » emails like other companies. A big thank you to the devs for this service (and fixing a big issue I had by releasing an update through the beta channel as we were chatting), and to the whole team at Windscribe. I love you.

Slow updating of app.. The VPN has good speed and privacy. I would like to see the app support Open VPN, instead of IKEv2, for greater security. Also, a landscape mode would be appreciated. Update: Please don't lie to your users. I'm sure you know that IKEv2 was on Snowden's list as potentially compromised by the US government. Please at least provide Open VPN support within the app, as an option. Update 2: An update without the security boost equals another docked star. Update 3: Who's implementation of IKEv2 are you using? And how long do your PFS keys last for? None of this still addresses Snowden's claim that a number of backdoors and side channel key leaking mechanisms may have been implemented into the protocol. Update 4: The VPN now turns off when the iOS device goes into sleep mode. You're going backwards with your updates. Please fix this. This still has yet to be fixed, for multiple updates. Update 5: Your newest update automatically logged users out of the accounts. People were left without VPN protection. Another poor update! Update 6: You FINALLY added OpenVPN connections. Great VPN!. I’ve been using Windscribe for a few years now and have never had any issues with it. It serves my needs very well! For one, it prevents carriers from throttling your speed, it supports Netflix and other streaming sites, and has great speeds when using torrents. I’ve honestly never thought twice about getting it. I bought the pro version from the beginning and has become such an important part of my online experience! Oh.. and not to mention that it hardly ever disconnects. I have gone weeks with it connected and have never had an issue with it.

great app, quite a suprise, even a little too good. ive been getting into coding. that kinda led me into trying and getting interested in being anonymous on the internet. most vpns cost too much, log your ips you go to (defeating the literal purpose of a vpn), and that is if your lucky that they just log the ips you go to by being under jurisdiction of the fbi or some other legal figure that legally requires it. a vpn most of the time will charge you an overpriced monthly fee, and sell your data to third parties for money, as the cherry on top. the reviews are definitely real, because the developer replies to most of the first 100 or so with funny replies of which a bot wouldn’t ever say (i read almost all the replies because especially a vpn with a free option is going to do sketchy stuff with your data they probably sniff from you), i even went through the boring process of manually checking exactly how it works and how well. i would never even have thought about trying something like this most of the time, but i am glad i did :) i went to proxy detectors, nothing except for some weird data from the proxies i already configured into my wifi just to see whatll happen. i used findmyip and compared it with my real ip without the vpn, worked without even detecting anything. i even trolled my older cousin by logging in to my families netflix and changing my older cousins profile pic, then changed all his shows to be in foreign languages, and netflix not only didnt detect a vpn, but detected my account device to be in germany while logged in (i set my vpn to germany and i dont even live there). love the app. <3 -your fellow windscribe user

Great app!. For shows mainly things get taken off of Netflix in the US for no reason and it's ridiculous. With this app i can easily connect to the UK and binge rewatch The Office with no interruptions!! Its a great app and works very fast. The app also doesnt make you pay, by giving your free options and this allows me to save money, and watch amazing shows!! I recommend this app 100% and for me its the only VPN that has successfully worked for me. My phone is sometimes glitchy but this app works so good and I havent found an app that has a VPN thats better than this. 10/10, would recommend to those who need a VPN.

Really excellent service. I have had Windscribe on my iPhone, iPad and PC (s) and it is excellent. I managed to get a lifetime subscription after trialing the free 10gb per month option, well worth the upgrade IMHO. I don’t use this all the time on my iPhone and iPad but I do use it all the time on my PC as I feel a little more venerable on it. I always use it when travelling and access unknown WiFi providers or if I need to appear to be in a different country, one button click and a few seconds latter it is fully activated. There are some features like static IP etc which I don’t use, they are always improving the service they offer (I suppose it is a competitive market). Windscribe is based in Canada, do not require credit card details etc. I have fast broadband but have used it where the speed is much slower, I see only a small difference in connection speeds, which has never affected the performance of my tasks. Very pleased at a great service, but only 4 stars as there is nothing that is perfect in this world..... yet!

I know I am not the only one with these problems...see below... Update: too many things just do not work and never get fixed. - auto connect with firewall - blocked websites —— Can mmmm wondering if a ratings farm was molotes for this app. I have been a customer for a few years. Issues that still plague me (regardless of iOS version, device, network) include the following: 1) Super slow to connect. Every time your phone goes off, you need to mess with settings and pick a new location before you have internet going again. Happened 6 times in the last hour for example. 2) Stymied by VPN Blockers ALWAYS hitting road blocks, always having to go to the app and mess with setting because vpn is blocked by a service. Wares SO much time. Examples include: - extra captchas - no access to banks, TacoBell, OfferUp, LetGo, CraigsList, White Pages, Local services, utility companies - and endless and growing list of services that will not let you connect when Windscribe is on. 3) Support Support fails to answer tickets. There is one open ticket now for maybe 3 months and nothing from support. Take support to reddit where you get yelled at by their staff for being a customer. Those are my main beefs. Service is slow (lot of dropped connections if you are streaming video or music)

Incredible service!. Windscribe has been an excellent VPN product for my usage needs, which are actually pretty tame at less than 10GB per month. The service has had no downtime that I have seen and it just works without any hassle. The creative minds and leadership behind this service are also just fun to see work; they’re professional and serious about their product and privacy, but aren’t stuffy and without a sense of humor (ie they don’t seem to take themselves too seriously). Overall, I recommend this product to anyone needing a secure way to be on the net, whether for banking and commerce or for just avoiding local providers in developing countries who decide to restrict access to social media; I’ve found this product extremely useful. Location order. Windscribe is a good VPN but it would be so good if the location order: Alphabet can take an effect on the Custom VPNs as well, to order them alphabetically as well, once this is done, I will give it 5 stars. I talked about this a few months ago and still, nothing has been done instead that you made it worse, now if I connect to the custom configuration it will just be blank, I won't know if it has connected or not unless I swipe my phone down, another issue again is to disconnect it, I will keep on tapping and nothing will be done, unless I went to my phone setting to disconnect it, I've made a complaint to the support team already but nothing has changed yet please work on it, I love this VPN but this is the little issue I'm having with it

WPA2 Enterprise/Wireguard Issue on iOS 15.5. Love the VPN and has worked consistently for me at work for the past two years. Recently, I noticed the VPN struggling to connect as it seems to get stuck in a loop. My device won’t ever authenticate to Wi-Fi until I actually delete the app. I tried force-closing and restarting my device but that didn’t help. I noticed in iOS VPN settings that VPN was constantly trying to connect over and over. This went away after removing Windscribe. I reinstalled Windscribe but am still having the same issue. I run my own Wireguard server and am able to connect to that just fine with the Wireguard app, but for some reason Windscribe is choking. I’m sure it’s iOS 15.5 but would appreciate y’all taking a look!

You WERE brilliant. Honestly I don’t know what’s happened with you ! Since you were bought out and the business taken over your service has become full of bugs !!!! It disconnects WiFi won’t connect ( WiFi is disconnected instantly and looking at reviews it’s iPhone that seems to be affected .) I contacted you guys numerous times and yip enough is enough now . Really disappointing app !!!!just issue after issue after issue ! Please contact me so that I can get a refund ! I paid for my 2nd year and what a waste of money !! And even the WiFi providers are saying your vpn system has proven to be full of issues and have instructed a lot of their clients who are using you to delete the app . Seriously guys . If you do read reviews whoever looks into this app seriously don’t use them .

why I think this is the best vpn. I recommend this vpn to my friends all the time so I figured why not recommend it on here too-- I've been using Windscribe for 6 years and I truly think it's the best vpn out there (obviously I haven't tried every single one but). Here's why I like it: - very easy to use, even when it comes to advanced settings, since the app does a good job explaining what everything does! - has super useful features and doesn't get bogged down with extra stuff like some apps - the free version is super generous. And it's so relieving to see a service where the paid version is customizable!! You pay for what you want and it's super affordable - the developers care about making the app as accessible as possible in places around the world where vpns are banned. personally I really appreciate those values - the dev team are hilarious, down to earth, and clearly care about their product. Just for fun, they made an entire comedy short film about corporate greed. What other company does that? Anyways, I always get a kick out of reading any notifications or updates the team has - I've seen reviews saying the support was difficult. I've never personally had to contact support because everything has worked how I expected it to. So while I can't speak to that, I will reiterate that the dev team are funny! They care about helping and will, but they won't act fake-sugary-nice like most customer services anyways, take all of this as you will! grains of salt make the world go around. But I hope that this was helpful to at least someone out there in the ether...

Amazing VPN. I came across Windscribe when looking for free VPNs. I tried their free version first which includes 15 gigabytes and was impressed. After the first gigabyte I looked at the cost and found out they have a great pay as you go plan. I only pay $3.00 per month for access to the USA servers and Norway as those are the only two I need. I added the unlimited for a dollar which includes their Robert browser extension and have truly enjoyed being able to watch programs from both countries while I travel. Highly recommend them.

A note to people who download. I downloaded this so I can watch spongebob and Rick and moray on Netflix, it turns out Canada Dosent work with that policy in the middle of that it deleted a lot of my favorite shows from my watch history and I don’t know what some of them are called, it’s a pretty good vpn I don’t have it anymore because I know of another one. This isn’t dissing it or stating a problem it’s a good vpn I just want some people who are doing the same thing as me to know if you pick the wrong country/state your Netflix watch history could be deleted (btw the person who responds to the comments is actually kind of a menace, but the fact he Dosent care makes me question if this app is even good)

Slow and servers kick you off or don’t connect. I like some of the features this VPN service provides (R.O.B.O.T) but it is ONLY good if the service works and data speeds and latency is good. Slow and servers kick you off all the time or they just don’t connect and divert you to another and even slower server. It isn’t my ISP, as I’m not using using wifi. I would also find it very unlikely that the second largest telecommunications company in Australia would be at fault regarding your server. So even when you look for the best server, it doesn’t even allocate your home country server (not town server) as the best, but another country!! Lame. Just fix your latency issues and provide more bandwidth to your Australian servers!!

Works really well - doesn’t work in China. Been using Windscribe for over 3 years now, great for the extra addons like ROBERT. Great it works across all my devices too. However, Windscribe does not work in China at all. Some of the error messages are a bit confusing too.

Great while travelling. We have used VPNs while travelling to make our computers and tablets more secure. In some countries we have found not all VPNs we have downloaded will connect but for some reason Windscribe goes through a number of protocols and bingo we are connected. It has been very successful for us.

The app was working perfectly up until a few days ago I can’t watch Netflix anymore keeps coming up saying I am using an unblocker I have never had this issue also I would like to state I’m using the free version as I always have until a few days ago when this all started, I was upgraded to a pro account without me doing anything such as updating or agreeing to this from that point all the problems started with Netflix not working after going to the Windscribe website I have found out I should have never had the ability to block Netflix with the free account this is meant to be a pro function only but it was blocked and working for my free account I certainly won’t be upgrading to pro anytime soon after this experience the only reason I use this app is to mainly watch Netflix and occasionally browse the internet A shame really this was my favourite VPN to use

Not working properly in Mainland China. Claimed as working anywhere, but I used it in Mainland China, 99% is not working, only 1% luck is working in midnight! Not recommended if you are in Mainland China

The app isn’t working anymore. Just doesn’t connect. And there is no help that is accessible from either the app or online. It just keeps on loading. Have deleted n reinstalled app, restarted, reconfigured in settings. No use. It was really good until now it’s utterly useless. Not working for TikTok in Hong Kong. I downloaded this app in Australia, hoping I can use my social medias in Hong Kong. My friends said it worked for them when they were in China but for me the app didn’t work at all and it would load for a long time and do nothing. I’m going to mainland China soon so hopefully something happens and I can use my social medias with this vpn.

Slow VPN traffic. The VPN runs slow even with high speed NBN internet connection, because of which we cannot stream HD quality videos.

Amazing but. You see, I have used windscreen for years on windows and their service is seamless. Recently I realised I needed a vpn on my phone and iPad. Although, I loose GB immensely fast compared to windows. I don’t know why, this is only on Apple products. Otherwise my favourite vpn, keep it up!

Problems. While it worked, i deleted the app for storage then realised all the shows on Netflix that only worked when it was on, were working, I installed it again in the hopes I could set it to my city. No matter what I try I cannot create an account, sign into my account or reset my password. Plus, it consistently kicks you off of the server.

Paid version is perfect but free version is just for fun. In terms of the speed and connectivity it is unbeatable. I am using it for years since I used it the first time when I went back to mainland China. It is fast and stable, if you use the paid version. It is also true that it is super hard to get connected from mainland china with the free version and the speed would be slow, so just pay. about ¥1 a day but gives you freedom, digitally.

Lost 2fa and they never gave me access. I lost the phone so lost access to the Authenticator and after that they wouldn’t let me recover the account even though I know the password own the email it is on!!! And the customer service is bad! Bunch of untrained people talking like ai.

Custom DNS doesn’t work. I was excited to try this one out as it’s the only iOS VPN I was aware of that allows custom DNS over HTTPS. But I tried it out and there’s no evidence that it’s using anything but the default DNS. I definitely entered the address correctly. Very disappointing.

Trash. Garbage app doesn’t even work. No support. No replies to emails or chats or tweets. Keep your lame sarcasm to yourself. After opening the app, I keep clicking the big “power” button but nothing happens. Already tried logging out/in and reinstalling the app. Update: lol the developer replied to my review calling me a “liar”. Learn one thing about customer service: don’t call your customers “liars”. Your app is full of 1 star reviews anyways. And if you had used your brain for anything other than lame sarcastic and condescending replies, you’d have seen that I did mention I was already logged in. I tried logging out/in several times, and even reinstalled the app and it still didn’t work. Either way, I already deleted your garbage app from my phone. There’s other, better VPN apps to use out there anyways.

Great customer setvice. Got locked out of my account for some reason and it asked me to login again. I hadn’t had to login for years so I had no idea what my login information was unbelievably good. There were lots of wrinkles but in the end it got me through the process and I am back in. It even had a sense of humour which made the process somehow a little less worse than it would’ve been otherwise. Being inhuman, the support app never disconnected. Great work.

FANTASTIC! Highly recommend.. Travelling always presents challenges re secure connections. Windscribe has solved that for me. Case in point,...vacationing in Costa Rica and attempting to purchase NASA tour tickets for our next stop in Houston. Not a chance! After turning on Windscribe and connecting via Miami,..issues solved. Simple interface, great connectivity, high throughput, zero challenges. I can’t say enough positive about this app.

Constantly getting logged out on Apple TV. I keep getting logged on Apple TV and it’s so annoying to login each time. There also should be a QR code login like most other VPNs.

I’m happy with it.. I’m living different country than I born. I want to watch something from there. I use this App and I'm able to watch it. I'm very appreciated.

Unstable. Windscribe is installed on my apple iPhone and it is very unstable. It continuously switches off on its own arbitrarily. I have to go to the app and switch it back on everytime. I reported this twice and first time they told me to enroll in some beta test product as a solution - I don’t have time to figure that out. The second time they told me to completely uninstall and re-install the app — I should t have to do that - I pay a yearly subscription, if there are new versions that should be automatically taken care off.

iOS, good Windows 10, not so good. Works great on my iPhone 12 turns off and on very quickly doesn’t lag all good on my PC with Windows 10 it sometimes gets very slow and I have to change server sometimes I have to shut it right down and restart it to get it to work properly. It’s also slower to connect to servers otherwise I’ve been using it for years and I trust it was a little bit put off by the Ukraine thing

A Must Have VPN. Windscribe is easily my favourite VPN service I’ve used, and I’ve remained loyal since I first started using them. User-friendly to where my young kids know what to do!

Keeps disconnecting.. Keeps disconnecting when clicking on widget. Does not auto reconnect when app is open.

Great service. I hadn’t used this app in over a year and when I tried to sign in I was in a perpetual loop that kept repeating the sign in page. The contact help link was able to guide me thru the process to resolve this issue. All this help and security with the VPN for free is amazing. Windscribe is a great company.

Update 2.3.0 broke app. Like the previous review, update 2.3.0 broke this app. The update logged me out and even after logging back in, the app gets stuck on refreshing server list. Uninstalling, rebooting, installing again doesn’t fix the problem. As a premium subscriber who uses this every day, this sucks. 🙁

it was good while it lasted. i got it for roblox but after a few hours, it turned my wifi on and didn’t let me turn it on again. i live in canada so maybe other fellow canadians have went through this? it took me a few hours to realize this app is why i couldn’t get my wifi back on. it’s really bad when you’re in an emergency and they turn your wifi off for whatever reason(s).

Stopped my phone from working. Had it for a while and it worked well. 10G a month for free. After a while my phone stopped working and was saying not connected. Had to bring it in to Roger’s and the issue was the VPN.

Able to watch into the spider verse in Canada. Canada used to have into the spider verse on netflix but when I wanted to watch it again, I checked and it was gone from Canadian netflix. I looked it up and found that it is still up in the US and when I got windscribe I was able to watch it and a bunch of other movies and shows that I wouldn’t normally be able to watch. 10/10 really good, highly recommended!

No independent third-party audit.. Avoid any VPN service that doesn’t allow independent third party audits of their security practices. Customers should expect better.

Uh...my date is past. I normally get my new set of data every fourth of the new month. But right now, I’m dataless and it’s the eighth of December. I’ve been waiting since the fourth. The date when it says I have to wait is 2019, 04, 12. Meaning I have to wait until December fourth to get my data renewed for free. But it’s already the eighth. How does THAT work? Overall, great. I would just like my data to be on time so I’m not reduced to solitaire when I’m at school.

Greatest on the Market, but one suggestion. I love the features and for this price nothing can beat it, it’s great to be able to use it on a fire stick with Kodi to watching anything I want. Make this available for Apple TV please. So I can change the region for different shows within one UI. Otherwise great, and I totally recommend your app for any purpose (p2p downloading, ad blocker, region changer) and more.

One of the best VPN’s. I was an early subscriber to Windscribe and it’s been phenomenal. The value is amazing and it’s been a great experience. The apps for all devices are all intuitive and simple to use. There are a ton of servers to connect to so you’re never stuck when you want to see region locked content, like Netflix. I definitely recommend this!

Connection problem. Hey guys, recently I encountered with a problem that when I choose one of the servers (udp-open vpn) windscribe couldn’t connect to server then I have to change the profile connection from settings manually. Can you please fix this issue? Thanks. “ ios 16.7 ”

App been acting weird for a week or so.. Whenever I open the app from the background lately, it’s completely frozen and not coming out of that. I have to shut down then reopen it to get anything to work - then when trying to refresh the locations list by doing a pulldown on the list, it DOES NOT update the location’s ping. The only way to get new location pings, is to once again close and restart the app.

My Application hasn’t Stealth protocol. Hi My lovely Developers on Windscribe vpn Your application on iOS version 15 or high level version of iOS hadn’t stealth protocol or wstunnel protocol and people in Islamic republic of Iran can’t use windscribe vpn on their phones. Works like it's supposed to. Zero issues with the app or performance. So many negative reviews from people who have heard of a VPN but have no idea what it actually does or how it works. Do some research. Educate yourself. Then make an informed decision. You're messing with phone and network settings you have no business messing with then trashing the service because you used it wrong.

Awesome.. I use this for alot of stuff! But if you guys are giving a 1 star because you lose internet, delete the app. Re-download it when you need it. It happened to me and i deleted it and my internet came back. I re-download it when i need it. Overall, love this app 😊

Hmmm. My connection is breached when I use anywhere in the US and if I use other countries all of my apps either lag or fail. Along with this my phone heats up. Also I am unable to log into my account after changing my password twice.

Caused my phone to disconnect from wifi.... I downloaded the VPN and it worked for about a day or two until i noticed that my wifi was running very slow, but in fact my phone wasn’t even connected. Settings said that I was connected to the wifi but the signal strength indicator/radar symbol would disappear as soon as my phone connected. Could be incompatible with ios14.4, could be the vpn itself. Deleting the app made my phone instantly reconnect to my wifi as I type this review. If you’re having the same issue, try deleting the app

Good VPN for mobile devices. Using this for mobile device and it’s good but Google thinks it’s a tracker or a bot, you can bypass it. I’ve been in many websites for now and I’m seeing positive signs so far different languages in ads and more. Good, I recommend this VPN app for your device and it’s a good VPN because you don’t have to pay the subscription like other VPN. Hides your IP address so well.

BEST APP FOR NETFLIX. This app for Netflix is like living in heaven! I’ll explain! So when I’m searching Anime, stuff like my hero will not pop up unless I use a app like crunchy roll, WITH ADS! And that’s 24/7 annoying I’m more happier! With this app. It does sometimes load/lag but I’m fine with that, with a app like crunchy roll ADS ARE 5/4 MINUTES LONG.

DO NOT INSTALL. Was cool till you weren’t free. Dicks, my guy. Heard this was a free service, till I was charged, TWICE, $6.98. I was using it free for a while, till yesterday my phone was glitching out and couldn’t use my wifi or my data. Figured out that this SOB was turning off and on without my consent. So I uninstalled. Before this I saw that I was randomly charged $6.98 on my card by Apple. I thought my purchases were just delayed from other apps till I redownloaded the app and it finally charged me somehow, I didn’t even register my card yet. Now I don’t trust it. I want a refund dude.

Awesome VPN & best support. This is the best VPN service I've ever used with the best customer support I've ever experienced from any company. If you have an issue an actual developer replies to you with very helpful, specific emails. Sometimes they even fix things on their end to make something work. Also, their marketing emails and Twitter are funnier than most star comedians these days.

Very awesome app love it. This app absolutely amazed me since you guys give 10 gigs of data free per month since I was looking around for a reliable VPN and I came across this and the features are really amazing and it does a really good job of hiding your IP address and I also recommend others to use it if they haven't already so that's all ✌️.

Good VPN. Pretty good, i see reviews saying it has all these terrible issues and bugs but i’ve hardly encountered any from my 2 years of having it. I used the free version for a long while and had no issues either. Definitely recommend as a simple VPN to protect your devices.

Subscription Process is Difficult. I thought it was going well, but I had an existing user account and wasn’t logged in when I purchased the annual subscription. After logging in, it no longer recognized my subscription and now I’ve been locked out all day. Tried the automated chat bot, but it wasn’t helpful. Put in a ticket a few hours ago and hope to hear back soon. Just a warning...be SURE you’re logged in if/when you subscribe! Will update if they get me fixed promptly.

A necessity while traveling. If you bounce among multiple public WiFi points, you NEED a vpn tunnel. I’m a cheapskate, so I use public WiFi whenever possible, and this app gives me that extra bit of armor against the malicious actors online. I haven’t needed to get the premium version b/c I don’t do streaming or big file transfers, just email and light browsing. It’s just a side benefit that a vpn tunnel bypasses the content restriction on some of the WiFi providers that are overly sensitive, really!

Good service bad user interface. The service is good and reliable. However, after I upgraded the application, the user interface is not good, so bad. It is so confusing. Please do one thing and do it good. The old one pointed the the functionality right away, no distraction. The new shows unrelated things like wifi, too much color. The main feature is to select location is too small and not easy to use. Update: increase to 4 points

Shut down everything. Had to get help from the Apple store to figure out that this VPN was blocking my AirPods from connecting, blocking my cellphone network, blocking all WiFi networks from connecting, blocking my email from opening hyperlinks, blocking all apps from connecting to the internet, blocking just about everything that a cellphone is used for. So I deleted it. I guess if that’s what you are going for then this is the app for you, but considering I just didn’t want to be tracked on the internet but still be able to use my phone.

Doesn’t lie like the other free vpn’s of where it shows where you’re located. If you’re looking for a free vpn that helps you keep you’re location private this is the one because all the time when I’ve gone to a website that tells you in what state you’re located it tells you the location you changed to with the vpn and no this is not a fake review

Disaster Update!. Windscribe was very good, until the last two updates, which turned into the most disastrous program possible! It won't connect to any Wi-Fi at all and the last update has even destroyed the ability to connect to cellular and crashed many time! It is a pity that the support of this program does not have the ability to provide the correct update for those who have purchased a Windscribe subscription, and the situation only becomes more disastrous with each update!

Windscribe. I love this product and the owner is a good fair guy! When I had a problem I was assisted right away. That hasn’t changed. I am resubmitting my review and taking two stars. I’m on iOS but no one can help me figure out how and why it keeps dropping my connection leaving me vulnerable. Either that or it’s a constant circle and I have to turn it off. Please try to fix this problem before you keep, adding these updates. Thank you sir(s).🙂

The best out there. I’ve been using the desktop app for two years now and find nothing can beat it for speed and convenience. Easy to use and smart interface. I also appreciate their quirky newsletter with their no-nonsense quest for privacy and censorship prevention for repressive governments. Smart people with a smart application. I’d recommend trying it out. They offer 10 gig free per month.

Windscribe is crashing. When I try to launch Windscribe it crashes so I uninstalled to try to fix it and it didn’t work and now I can’t re-install it. (I am using an apple phone) It worked just fine before but it just suddenly stopped working.

Better than a fart. It’s a better vpn than it seems like it would be. Been using since 2016. The only caveat is that it’s a Canada based company and the best VPNs are based in Switzerland. If you want total absolute bulletproof privacy look elsewhere. They keep logs per Canadian law but they aren’t tied to any user identification.

Since update it’s been sketchy. I’ve been using Windscribe for over 2 years and although there’s been times it’s had issues in the past, it’s mostly been a extremely reliable. Since the last update it’s been almost useless. I’d recommend not installing the current version until they resolve whatever issues they have.

The lack of professionalism is ridiculous. The person who runs the company or just the customer service has zero experience and knowledge of such basic concepts of a business as ethics and professionalism. I have not tried the app and I will not, judging by the behavior of this person I am not going to trust them with my privacy. Specially knowing they could blame a future problem on me instead of fixing it. Saying "delete the app if you don't like it" isn't going to save you from a lawsuit

ZERO support. App doesn’t work most of the time. Reached out to their “support” There actually is no support & no one gets back to you or even attempts to resolve issues. They want you to chat with a complete useless bot that is no help at all. I have paid for the app & even sent screenshots of my receipts & I get ZERO response as to why it still runs as a free account. Had multiple login issues. Also the app gets stuck in an endless loop of connecting & reconnecting which doesn’t work & essentially bricks your device. This is absurd. Fix the app & acknowledge payments . I will change my review when these issues are fixed.

Okay so I found a glitch, if your free trial ends and you don’t want to pay, all you have to do is delete the app than we install it and make another account and then you have the free trial again, other wise this app is awesome it helped me so much, but right now it is super buggy I am not sure why it might be me or it might be a app bug/glitch.

Really bad connection. Been using this VPN for a while and I liked it so I bought a month subscription. The first couple of days it’s been fine. Was mostly using to watch movies on Netflix that were only in specific countries. At first it was fine but it would be blurry but I ignored it. Not I can’t seem to even get on Netflix let alone watch anything. Whenever I connect to a server it makes my WiFi and internet very slow. Dunno if this is a glitch but if it doesn’t end I might start considering a refund of some kind

This is definitely the best VPN I have ever used it is completely free with great benefits and I usually just use it with Netflix and I get amazing shows and movies when I use it the only downside(which is still great but I wish their was a little more) is you only get 10gbs of data to watch but it gets refilled every month but I wish it was 15 or 20GBs but beside that it is a great app and in my option the best VPN

I’m not sure whether or not it’s a bug. The app works pretty well, but I noticed that when you run out of free data for it, before you go back into the app it will not let your phone connect to wifi or data I was very confused on this for a little while. I eventually thought maybe it had something to do with the app, so I went in and everything’s been fine after that.

Idk what’s what but I’m happy. 10 gigs a month for free and if u r super suspicious it’s a comparable monthly rate to other con services. I’m not all that knowledgeable about vpn’s and which is more secure and stuff but it does the trick for me I’m not trying to do anything illegal or I’d probably study more on what I need to do to really be private and secure. As long as my credit cards and porn traffic aren’t public I’m happy haha! Now Windscribe, love me long time!

Many options…. Yes - it can do “set and forget”, but what I love are the multiple advanced options. Really being able to drill down into the most advanced features. Price is right, I was luckily grandfathered into a great deal. I am eager to see their independent audit completed. I’m banking that they’ll “pass” with flying colors. BTW the browser extension on Chrome and Firefox is outstanding.

Questionayuda. I tried the free version to see if I should buy it but right away when I tried using Netflix, my Netflix account said “proxy detected” and it didn’t allowed me to play anything. My question is, if I pay for the membership there will be no proxy?

Best VPN I know. Over the years I have tried several vpn apps the majority of which either slowed down my internet or didn’t open streaming and foreign tv So far Windscribe has worked perfectly with no slowing problems and opening all foreign tv stations

This VPN is SUPER UNDERRATED!. I’ve tried all the other VPNs out there, nordVpn, ExpressVpn, hola. None of them can get my Netflix and Disney+ app to work except for this one. I don’t mind paying for the subscription, but it has to work. And for this app, I’m happy to pay the monthly subscription bc it actually works. I don’t usually write a review but I believe they deserve one without needing to ask me to write this.

Most stable VPN in Boston Area. I’ve tried most of the VPNs Nord, ipVanish, expressVPN...etc and they were either super slow or very unreliable. I’ve had Windscribe for a while as a free subscriber but when it was time to take my security serious. Regrettably I went else where just to find that they were all flawed, I’m back as a pro subscriber and couldn’t be happier! Even in the crowed Fenway area the MIT server holds up pretty well.

Messes with my wifi. Y’all gotta fix this because I’m not going to download an app that messes with my wifi connections. I have to delete the app and get it again only for it to say my email is wrong. And I can’t make any other accounts because when I do I’m forced to buy the premium packs. This is getting annoyed. Fix it or I’ll switch to another vpn that actually works. And if you keep it up with this rudeness no one will get your little app. I’m expecting a better review from a dev that’s atleast better then my last one from my old phone.

Best VPN I’ve Ever Used!!. This is the best VPN because you don’t need to hassle with trying to connect to networks, it’s automatic. With other VPN’s, I have always needed to go in and out of the app connecting and re-connecting. I love it. And when you confirm your email, you get an extra 10GB of VPN data along with the 2GB. Gigabytes running out at an unusual rate. This VPN is very good and is probably the best one on the app store, but the problem is, my Gigabytes are running out extremely quickly. I got on the app to turn on my VPN and i saw that my Gigabytes was at 4.38. I looked again a few seconds later and saw that it had dropped to 4.12 GB. and the problem is i don’t use it very much and it does this a lot. I don’t know what the problem is or maybe i’m just misunderstanding something, but please try and fix this.

Listen don’t get me wrong I love Windscribe I could go and watch different types of movies on Netflix from any different type of country but Windscribe has been messing with my Internet and other apps that I’ve been using for a while as well and that’s been an issue and I really hope that this issue can get resolved but overall Windscribe is the best

Windscribe App. I just downloaded this app and already I am having connection problems. It connects then it disconnects, then it reconnects again. It has a connect on demand but it should not disconnect then reconnects once it’s turned on. The app should stay on until its manually turn off it ever. That problem needs to be fixed like now. I can only give three star for this app unless the situation is fixed on a permanent basis!

READ BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD. ok so it is not a hack or anything like that but for people who don’t know how to delete it here is how (only for iPhone and tablet) go to settings and turn off the vpn after that go to General and scroll down until you see VPN, click it and it will show delete, hopefully this helped someone! :)

Great VPN. Selecting VPNs is hard because when you take the plunge you never really know supported it is. I've been on Windscribe since 2014. Over the years the service has improved greatly and I can confirm this VPN is well supported and works great over your PC and phone. I'm a big fan and I recommend it to all my family, friends, and colleagues.

Great app, love the responses.. In all seriousness, the developers replies in my opinion are down right hilarious. Sure they maybe not be helpful at times but people that have a real issue they definitely help. They tell it to you straight. But great app, I don’t use too much on my phone but use on my PC. Great company. I was using another vpn service and became uncomfortable with their support for certain fringe elements in society. As I was searching for a new provider I happened to find Windscribe no longer does sponsors or affiliate networks, and subscribed right away. I’m glad to know my money is going to a good company and hope Windscribe the best.
