Still my Favorite Mobile game. “Strategic, beautiful, addicting. Only mobile game I regularly play.” -> that was a review I had evidently started typing out years ago when I was a teenager. It’s still pretty true. Years later this is the only game on the App Store I’ve never gotten tired of. I love the simple but challenging gameplay, I love the art. It’s an old friend.

In the arena.... It is necessary to have a shield! Haaaaaa! This game feels great and is a blast to play. When you lose, it’s your fault, and you have to come back and fight better next time.

Survivor!. Many apps deleted, this is one of a handful that I keep going back to. Try it.

Surprisingly Compelling. Gameplay is extremely simple and straightforward. Graphics are two dimensional and stylized cartoons. The soundtrack is short and on repeat. There’s a total of only ten levels in normal gameplay. Those might be reasons you’d be tempted to pass this over as a tactical game. This is a brisk, brutal game where you likely will fail many times. It rewards, though. It’s addictive. The music and the graphics fit the mood and the theme perfectly, no matter how seemingly simplistic. While simple, challenge escalates quickly, and there are modes beyond the normal mode to explore. And the gameplay hits that careful sweet spot where it’s just challenging enough to keep one playing at it over and over (and still fail most of the time) yet incredibly approachable and rewards being observant and experimenting. Really, my only lament is that this game is a huge battery drain when playing. It means my attempting to binge play it as I return to it has a governor on the binge length. And that’s the real tragedy of the game. At some point, you have to take a break because your battery will force you to.

Phenomenal and Hard. One of the best IPhone games but super hard. Worth a try

Hook and shield mechanic is awesome. I've spent all day playing this game...so much fun. The turn based mechanic is very way to pick up and a puzzle each time as you try to clear the board. I picked this game up because I've liked all the previous Tiny Touch games and this is the one I can't put down!

Great game!. It teaches you to wait and look twice before you make your move. Simple and sweet.

Very fun. Actually a really fun game, you have to buy the full thing but you don’t need to spend money to have fun, the first part could easily be mistaken for the full thing with how good it is.

Turtle?. Overall, I like the game. But, i lost my shield, and I’m stuck with only the turtle, whom I can’t hook into Lava. There seems to be no other way to defeat this enemy, which I have to to pass the level. Can someone help with a solution? I’ve tried put him on bombed squares, to no avail!!

Fun and challenging!. Didn’t think it’d end up this addicting. But it is! And I get so close but not quite! Thx to thx devs for a very clever game.

Great Game!. I think this game is really fun and exercises your mind. If I had one thing I would say that should be improved the order of combat is a little confusing at times and a trait list for the monsters would be nice, a beastiary of sorts.

Awesome game got a little worse. Enyo has been one of my favorite games since it came out in 2016. But the November 2017 content update is a downdate in a couple of ways. First: the new Frogger enemy screws up the core fun of the game. I thought the game had perfect balance before, with powerful but predictable - and most importantly *manageable* enemies. Playing the game feels a bit like playing chess; you have to think several moves ahead to stay alive. The Frogger messes that up by being a very chaotic element. It’s not just a pain to deal with it directly, but it’s also a pain because it is stunning other monsters or blocking their movement in ways that are hard to predict, especially with multiple Froggers in play. And it’s just not fun or satisfying to run around avoiding Froggers for a dozen moves before finally getting a chance to kill one; it loses that tense gladiatorial combat feel. Second: The first thing I did was play the daily challenge. I got all the way to the last level and then, after killing about 20% of the enemies, the game suddenly crashed. First time I’ve had Enyo crash ever.😟 While I’m at it, one more bug and one feature request: Bug (unconfirmed if it still exists in this update): expert mode actually has 11 levels and the last one is “11/10”. Feature request: I really wish you could Jump on your thrown shield to recover it.

Fun & Interesting, great developer. Tiny Touch Tales makes great games... period. I bought Enyo right away, and it has proven to also be fun and engaging. The Hook & Shield game mechanic is maybe one of the most interesting I've come across in a mobile game. It is also a difficult and challenging as you go through the levels. These devs make excellent games! I encourage you to buy Enyo, Card Crawl, and the upcoming Card Thief so they can keep doing it!!

Scoring bug drives me crazy. Sometimes, inexplicably, the scoring of points will reset back to 1. If I restart the app sometimes this goes away, but it’s really frustrating on odyssey levels that require a score of ten.

Awesome game even without internet. I don't always have internet and this is the only game I play on the road etc. Game itself is a great tactical one where you need a definite strategy win. Not your average easy game, I like it. More games like this is needed on AppStore!

A good twist on Hoplite. I loved the roguelike Hoplite. Enyo takes a lot of the interesting positional aspects of that game and plays a bit more with it - removing even the ability to stab enemies and only to shove or pull them into lava. It turns the game into much more of a puzzle game.

Such a good game!. I was trying to find a tactical game to spend my free time playing. Then I found ENYO. I was interested in Greek Mythology and knew a lot about Enyo. I liked how the main character was female not male. I recommend this game for people who like fighting monster with no actual direct contact in-game.

its very fun but controls get frustrating. it's not as good as hoplight by Douglas Cowley, But it's pretty fun. It has similar mechanics,But it's not as well polished and a bit janky in some areas like changing equipment isn't responve and takes numerous taps. If you found this game remotely fun you would do yourself a disservice to not try hoplite, probably one of my top 3 favorites along with "FTL" and "out there"

Good Concept. It is a really enjoyable game, but some of the new enemies in the recent update are kind of unnecessary. •The character that is supposed to make obstacles rarely does his job. •The turtle that you can hook to move around with is pointless, when you can just hook shield guys now with the stun. •I do like the frog with a hammer, but he is very overwhelming when you do harder levels with about 10 of them. It gets almost impossible to dodge the stun, even when it does it every other turn.

A great strategy game!. I’ve been playing for years! It’s great fun and every run is a mental challenge. I don’t know really what else to say expect for play this game!!

Fun and challenging strategy. I love this game! Learning the differences between different enemies is fun. The art style is very cool — I want a shirt with the ENYO entry scene. Very challenging! I haven’t made it through all the way on expert yet without making a mistake.

Great mechanics, annoying controls. Challenging tactics game with fun abilities, environmental use, and enemies that work together well. Each combination of enemy types creates a different challenge. Targeting controls are imprecise and the UI doesn't show targeting clearly, so it's easy to accidentally move or attack unintentional locations. Perhaps a target confirmation tap will fix the problem.

Fantastic Game. This has been my favorite game on my phone for many years! It could stay the same and continue to be my favorite but an update to the game would be fun.

👌🏼. This game is excellent and we’ll designed. It’s a great strategy game with complexity embedded in its simplicity. Its not difficult to learn but has many possibilities to it’s puzzles. I’ve really enjoyed the theme and design as well. Adds are next to none/optional which is impressive as games like this take SO much to design and create requiring compensation. Fun in moderation. when i first got this game i tried running straight through headfirst, but thinking about my moves more carefully like a game of chess rewards the player and the ability to leave and come back later with new ideas or approaches is great

Fun and Endlessly Replayable - A Modern Chess Analogue. I’ve been playing this game on and off for…at least 5 years. I’ll get obsessed with another game and play it incessantly. But I always find myself returning back here. The relative simplicity of the controls and rules belies a hidden complexity. I discover small new things every so often; Just last week I realized that I can propel myself toward the shield-bearing cyclops with the hook, over lava, and cause an area effect without harm. I want to continue playing this into my greying years, I feel that it’ll help me stay sharp, as the the apps geared towards that endeavor can’t hold my attention like this game does. Every iOS update, I’m afraid that this will disappear. I’m even thinking of freezing an old device on an version of iOS that it can’t upgrade from, to keep this forever, if that would even work. Thank you for putting this together. It’s an old reliable that has gotten me through a lot.

Deceptively Difficult. ENYO is a deceptively difficult game. Even on normal difficulty, I haven’t gotten past level 7 or 8. But the difficulty doesn’t come from RNG: you always know what the enemies are capable of. It uses spacial reasoning in a very fun way: you have to position yourself just so to get the enemies into your attack range while keeping yourself protected. In terms of art, it is superb as well, evoking ancient Greek pottery while still keeping its own distinct style. It knows exactly what it’s going for and executes its idea perfectly.

Simply Amazing. This game has simple controls and graphics, but don’t pass it by because it’s CRAZY FUN 🤩!!!

Great game but VERY ANNOYING POPUP ADS. i dont mind ads if they shown below the game but this game occasionally have loud music popup ads and if you decided to cancel or exit out of the game while the ads is there: you will have to restart all over. Game isnt bad but annoying ads out weight the game.

ENYO. Another good game by Arnold Rauers and Tiny Touch Tales. Nice bite-sized, turn-based strategy game. The opponents are of a good variety. The graphics and sound effects fit well with the game. The control scheme is simple and effective. All said and done, a good game for the money.

One of the best games on the app store. Im uninstalled and reinstalled this game tons of times, simply because it’s one of the best roguelike games on the app store. Every time I die, I feel like I was the one that made a mistake, rather than rng screwing me over. It makes you feel clever when you kill multiple enemies without being a pushover.

Love except for glitches. I think this game is so excellent, but I’m so aggravated by the glitch in scoring points. You’re meant to get a point for killing a monster when you have the gold skull bar full, but I’m stuck on day 112 of Odyssee mode because every time it eventually stops giving me points when it should.

Good game. Solid strategy, took off a star because some of the mechanics are unclear at first and also because of all those times I’m left with one of those grenadiers or turtles and they just keep running away

Lovely Puzzler. I had a horrible time Google Searching this game... but after multiple separate attempts I finally found it again. A true testament to how good this game is

Game of Games. Once immersed into the beautifully designed realm that has been set by Tiny Touch Tales and Arnold Rauers, one can see this as a game within the game, of sorts. I often imagine the characters of Card Crawl and Card Thief sitting at a table to play this game as if we were to sit around a chess table. ENYO dawns simple clothing but the heart of the game is flourished with detail. The opportunity to play this game is one not to be missed.

My favorite mobile, but needs iPhone mini bug fix. Simple & elegant, trial & error turn-based strategy. Deceptively challenging, been playing for a couple months and haven’t made it past level 7. Careful, losing your shield in lava before taking out the turtle causes a stalemate! I’d give it 5/5, but the “notch” at the top of my iPhone 12 mini covers the current level and a bit of the score (same issue on Card Thief too). This may be an easy fix as there are substantial empty areas above & below the arena. Works perfectly, and looks amazing on iPad. Thanks for this game!

Awesome gladiator style strategy. I love how the game is strategic in your moves and attacks with the different enemy attacks, the placement of obstacles, and your own planning abilities. The art style is awesome, and the monsters are really cool in their design. I have two ideas to add tho 1 - Add power ups such as a sword to be able to run into enemies and kill them with one hit, health power ups, and maybe even bombs like the alligator type bomber enemies. I think adding this mechanic to getting the Golden skull for three kills would be the best way to incorporate power ups like these, and have them drop on a random square that you have to get to so you can get and use them to add a little more challenge to using them. 2 - Add some kind of monetary system to be able to buy power ups to start off with or to buy retries and resurrections Could you see about adding these ideas? It would really enhance the gameplay

Few glitches, but still amazing!. Sometimes the bull charges and causes you to occupy the same square as an enemy. Sometimes a bomb thrown disappears, but it's still fun and challenging. Careful not to corner yourself and preserve the stun when you're entering a crowded part of the board.

Addicting. This game is very cool and you’ve got to be on your toes if you want to outsmart your enemies, almost like chess where your thinking a few moves ahead. Love it👍

This game makes me think back to a simpler time. I remember back when mobile games where fun and didn’t have adds. The art style is pretty neat and unique, the theme is super interesting and different, and the gameplay is easy to pick up yet hard to master.

Super fun and challenging. Very fun game, will be more challenging every level and doesn’t becomes repetitive! I have not been able to pass stage 6

Decent Fun.... Probably my least favorite of the Tiny Touch games but still kind cool... kudos to the "trial" method of paying, having one method of gameplay totally accessible so you can test out the game instead of blindly paying... NOTE: the XR screen has not been updated for, it cuts off the levels...

Addictive but one big bug. Newer versions are much improved. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sometimes opening the daily challenge loads your saved Odyssey game, or opening the Expert levels loads your daily, etc. There's some kind of error present

Simple but very engaging.. Been playing for years and still my go to mobile game.

The most rewarding mobile game. This is my favorite mobile game ever. It’s challenging and engaging and years after starting I still play it nearly every day. It’s incredibly difficult sometimes, but that also means it’s incredibly rewarding when you come to understand it. But even after you get really good at it, it never stops being a challenge. I love that there are no in-app purchases or ads. Just straightforward play.

Great game. No ads unless you want them, fun game. Wish it would tell you more about the enemies after you encountered them. Maybe it could give you an index and tell you what each one does after you beat them five times.

Rly good but. I think its a really well made game cos its fun and the best but i wish you would add a feature where you can choose another character but it looks similar maybe a boy or something and it has a whip or other weapons

Great for spare moments!. Whether you’re on the bus or just have some time to kill, ENYO is a fantastic pocket strategy game that is easy to both understand and enjoy. The randomisation of every level as well as daily challenges means that the game never gets stale and always offers a new challenge. Moreover, the art design is awesome and I love admiring the game every time I open it. Definitely worth getting.

Tutorial is so buggy. I think I've tried 7 times to play the tutorial to no avail... It either crashes, freezes, doesn't respond, etc. it would be great to have a working tutorial :)

Very solid game. Amazing visuals, perfect gameplay. Only concerns: I wish there were a tab explaining some of the gameplay mechanics. For example, It is not explained how to beat the shielded enemies, causing me to die the first time I encountered. Or how you can destroy your shield. Also, the Dash key is broken on iPad. After I have thrown my shield, I cannot press the dash button.

Good!. Clever game. Very addictive. There needs to be a screen where u can see an explanation of the different characters.

Addicted!. It really gets you thinking which is why this is a game that's got me hooked. One wrong move and you'll end up in the lava or shot by an arrow from an archer you didn't notice. Reminds me a bit of chess.

I'm obsessed. It took me a few attempts to see just how rewarding this game is to play. The more you play it, the more you see how deep it really is in its puzzle design despite it's very simple mechanisms. It's a fantastic puzzler which you can play in small doses in a relaxed manner. I love it and I cannot get enough of it.

Free version has annoying video ads.. The free version of this game has annoying and intrusive video ads. They happen so quickly, I couldn't figure out if I was interested in learning about the game, before I was so annoyed I was forced to quit. I might have simply bought the game, on the strength of the publisher other excellent titles. (Card Crawl in particular is a favorite of mine). But there was no option to buy dreictly (only IAP). And not enough demo before the adds drove me away.

must-play. My favourite game on the app store. Endlessly replayable. Deep strategy. Gloriously balanced. I played through the free campaign and then upgraded to tackle the expert levels--and so should you! The game could do itself a favour by making some of its more advanced mechanics and enemy patterns more legible to newcomers, but don't let that hold you back from enjoying this vastly underrated gem.

Great but frustrating. Love the game and its challenge. Day 8 of the Odyssey is frustrating (been trying it around 50 times) because some monsters are allowed 2 moves per turn, sometimes but not always, which makes tactics difficult because of unpredictable moves. Some turns they move then hit, some other turns they only move. Is there a rule behind this so I can plan tactics accordingly?

Buggy update. The quick select feature often ends up with Enyo ramming himself into spikes and lava when not supposed to. I even managed to die in the tutorial. Otherwise, it's a good game.

What a video game is meant to be.. Enyo is a real game. Typically I don't get into a lot of games that aren't strong on story. Most apps are cluttered with marketing and pay-to-play boundaries or else they ruin the fun with a constant need to log on each day for stupid rewards that really don't add to the experience. Not so with Enyo. This is a real game- meaning it's actually designed to be a fun and playable experience, without all of the hype. It's original. It's fresh. It's just a plain ol' fashioned good idea. Most games can't say that, honestly. Part chess, part Zelda, part Odyssey, this game is just plain killer. Play it!

Hoplite, but worse.. It’s a worse version of Hoplite. If you want to play this game as it should be, with more complexity and fewer broken elements, download Hoplite and thank me later.

Enyo is a masterpiece. Most consise and fun tactics game to date.

Fantastic game, worth buying, UI needs some work. I love this game, it looks amazing, and it's simplicity allows for hours of playing. However, it's got some problems that drive me crazy. It's incredibly easy to move your character to the wrong square and there is no undo, your just dead. In a turn based game where you spend minutes planning your move this makes you want to throw your phone against the wall. Also, only about 50% of the game is explained in the tutorial and FAQ. There is nowhere else to find info so you got to work out the rest as you play. It's like playing chess but only knowing what half the pieces do.

Love it. This game is fantastic. The art work is gorgeous, the gameplay is unique and challenging. Touch controls and UI are simple and well implemented. Bought it after a about 3 play-throughs. One suggestion would be maybe add an enemy guide for how each one attacks. While it's nice to learn as you play, the specifics of how each enemy variant attacks and where you end up after certain moves still isn't very clear. Also the cool down for stun jump seems to only happen ever other time you jump instead of a cool down for every other action. Shouldn't it recharge when you do another attack after a jump? stun jump > jump > stun jump > shield dash > stun jump

Fun simple turn based game. As the title says, it's a fun simple turn based game. The game mechanics are pretty versatile, providing you with multiple actions to achieve the same goal, whether it's jumping/dashing to safety or pulling/throwing your enemy to death. The game itself is pretty lacking in terms of content, however it makes up for that in its rich replayability value. One of the problems I seem to have with this game is there seems to be no help page. The tutorial provided is simple enough to grasp how to play the game, but it doesn't explain how other mechanics work. Such as using the hook, where sometimes when I pull the enemy towards me and we swap spots, the enemy would move 1 or 2 spaces further than expected. I also realized that the spikes only take effect if you ram an enemy straight into it, from opposite the direction the spike was pointing. Another problem I have with the game is being forced to watch video ads every several games. I believe the pop up ads provide enough monetization value as it is. But these 2 minor problems don't take away from the enjoyability the game offers. I look forward to future updates, perhaps add a campaign mode, infinite dungeon, more monsters, etc.

Found a crash. So, I was playing pretty early into the game, and a bomb thrower threw a bomb onto a cracked space, and the turn it exploded was also the turn I pulled a spear guy onto the space with the bomb on it. The game crashed the second he died, and every time I tried to load the save it crashed again.

Latest update really hits the spot. I have been enjoying this game for weeks now. The game is brilliant tactically and reminds me of sort of a one player chess, but much more accessible and fun. My only complaint was I was having trouble with some small things that were really detracting from the enjoyment of the game. However, I was very excited to see these issues have been taken and I can now fully enjoy this awesome game! Can't wait to get to the last level and see what's there...

It’s a great game but not compatible with XR screen. It is a great game I think but unfortunately it is not compatible with iPhone XR screen. I’ll update my rating when you fix the issue.

It's Zelda Chess!. I'm too young to know anything about roguelike games, and for all of those like me, I think this is a good description: It's got the weapon/move mastery and life hearts of classic 2d Zelda and the strategic turn-based movement of chess. Surprisingly addictive and cerebrally satisfying for a random level generation game. Might just be a masterpiece in fact...

Buggy game. 1. If I lose my shield, then I can't use dash. It's not selectable, which leaves me with the option of jumping only. This is definitely a bug. 2. Add option of unlocking levels instead of having to reply the same over and over again. Or maybe unlock after I've "mastered" that level. 3. Add tutorial option, so it's easier for me to share the game with friends and teach them. 4. Add an explanation. I still don't know when the yellow arrows take effect. Sometimes? Always? Random? What about cracked ground, when does that break? And what is the effect of hook. How do I know that throwing shield at owl will kill it in lava? Also add a "restart" option in the menu instead of quit only.

Love it. I love this game the moment I got it. The only thing I think they need is that the points you get can be spent on character parts and you can make your own character. Then I would give it 6 stars. :)

Good strategical game. Question for dev - if my shield is blown up/lost on a level, is there still any way to defeat the immovable turtle, since hookshot only pulls me toward him? Good game - thanks.

Bug Report. This is a really great game! However, I have noticed a few similar bugs. It is possible by swiping very quickly with the hook, move, or shield dash command to move the preview squares past obstacles such as monsters or through walls or lava. Using the shield dash or move through lava causes death. Using the hook on a monster and number of squares greater than two below you when there is a monster two squares below you will cause the monster two squares below you to occupy the same space as the player. Closing the app at this time to save the game state and attempting to reopen the app will cause the app to crash upon trying to reopen. Other such problems have occurred since the newest update due to the move changes. Edit: Deleting and redownloading the app removes the save state and allows for normal play. However, by dashing into lava in the tutorial stage, the player is unable to progress without closing and reopening the app.

Very Clever. Challenging and addictive.

Feels rushed and incomplete. The visuals are cool and the tutorial makes the game seem like it has a lot of potential. However the gameplay seems realty inconsistent; it's pretty unclear whether it's actually turn based or not. If a Minotaur is shoving you, it seems to take add many turns add it wants and you can't do anything while it beats you against a wall. Clever, replayable, and nice-looking. This is a fun game with great replayability. The strategy is interesting and the game is nice to look at. It would be nice to be able to review the tutorial, hopefully that will be added. Still, the game play itself is great. Definitely worth paying for.

Solid game.. This meets my standards for a good app. I'd compare this to a chess like gameplay. Similar movements. Really love what is created. As most comments will be, more contents are required if I am to buy this game. Not just the addition of modes of same game play. Bigger maps, Multiplayer and etc will move this game to a new level. It's truly my perfect definition of game app. Simple. Light. Strategic. Just need the right reason to purchase.

Keep dying cause controls are unresponsive. I literally have to tap twice on my weapons all the time to switch. Then i have to swipe 2-3 times just to move my character. I can expect this on a IPhone 3, not an iPad Pro

Great Concept, Needs Content. The game concept itself is simple and awesome. It has great potential to be a large game that never gets boring. However, it plainly just doesn't have much content right now. It's the same thing every time. I hope/look forward to things like new characters, enemies, weapons, and game modes being added. As of now, it's 1 character with the same moves doing to same thing repeatedly.

Great potential. Perhaps I did not give this game enough time, but I found the controls to play the game very awkward and hard to use. Since moving your piece around the board is a big part of the game I found not being able to access the moves I needed easily frustrating. As well a lot of the game is locked and one needs to pay for it. Perhaps with an update or two I will try again.

Fun, original turn-based game. This game is like chess where you have only one piece but it's super powerful. Best game I've played in a long time. Original concept and rogue like makes it great to replay. Still have yet to make it past level 7.

LOVE IT!. I'm am totally addicted to this game. It's unique and different from most games I've encountered. It's a bit like chess in you have to make sure you're safe from all angles when you move or attack. I myself enjoy engaging with the enemies to see what are their strengths and weaknesses. Some complain they don't know their enemy ahead of time, but to me it's just adds to the game. Enough talk..get it! By the way, I like the addition of retry on some levels.
