Powerful App, but high price/short trial. This is an extremely powerful app that takes iOS reminders to a whole new level. It has loads of complex features that functioned beautifully in the short time I was using it. However, the apps high price point and short trial period make it so that I'm not quite sure I want to commit to it. The app has such depth that a 14 day trial for the asking price is just not enough time to really fully feel out the app and see if it's right for my uses. If the app had at least a 30 day trial for the same price, I feel like it could be more justified so I could get acquainted with the features better.

An amazing and great task manager...but. This is clean, simple and complete. It uses the built in reminders for its storage and syncing. This is the one issue. Apple reminders syncs with iCloud. It’s sync is not fast. OmniFocus and Things succeed because they have built their own syncing solution. Today I created a new folder and put some tasks in it, on my iPhone. After 30 minutes these tasks were not on my iPad or iMac. After a few stops and starts the reminders finally propagated. So this is not the solution for me, although it looks great, works great but the syncing and storage is the one weakness. So the app gets 5 stars because the app is doing everything right. However reminders will change in IOS 12 and people must wait for this app to catch up. So I cannot trust my data to this.

Super impressed. I’ve been an OmniFocus user for more than a decade. However, I often get frustrated with its byzantine options and realize I’ve been stuck doing work in the app, rather than letting it help me do work, and I try other apps. I always go back to OmniFocus but I usually get all tied up in its complexity after a while. GoodTask is the first app they actually feels just as powerful as OmniFocus but gets out of my way and let’s me do my various jobs. It’s a joy to use!

A Combination of Calendar & Reminders that’s More Elegant. This app is a combination of the native calendar app and the native reminders app. It’s more elegant, however. It’s also more powerful. You can add reminders. You can add new reminder lists. You can add calendar events. You can edit the colors of the native calendars. You can create smart lists that integrate only selected calendars with selected reminders list in all kinds of combinations. You can make smart lists that also filter according to date/time frame, priority, or tag. And, because it leveraged the native Apple applications, it works wonderfully with Siri. The developers are responsive and helpful. And there are regular improvements and updates.

Great Update. The latest update allows for much more customization of the task edit screen. Putting everything on one screen was a good idea, and this update ironed out the problems I had with it originally. The great thing about this app is that it’s essentially just a better way to edit and view iOS Reminders. So you can still use the reminders app if you need to, use Siri, location-based alerts are done through the system, etc. Great app.

More than an APP, more like an O/S... Incredible & yet still very new!. I too echo the sentiments of your many other Advocate Reviewers... Like so many other users, we have also tried almost every Version of this type of App. So far None come even close to the Clarity,Simplicity & Practical Ease of use built into & throughout the remarkably logical order & efficiency you find with “Good Task”. Cannot wait to see what other enhancements & excellent new products your Company will have to offer going forward... In honor of your loyal commitment to the future of your products, I have elected to become a Loyal Subscriber to your Services! Keep up the Excellent Work! J. Stephen G.

Want to purchase, but.... I’m still doing the 14 day trial on this app, first few days, it worked great, but then every repeated tasks was moved to no due date, so I got no reminders when something was due. I reenter the due dates and times again, it worked for 2 days then back to the same thing. I reenter the dates again and this time I checked off repeat after completion, again it worked for 2 days then back again to no due date and now it doesn’t matter if I add a new task, repeated or not with a due date it just puts everything under no due date. What am I doing wrong? I want to purchase this but I don’t have time to keep reenter due dates on tasks, if I did I’d just use reminders.

Exactly what I was looking for. The “biggies” in this space are way overkill for me so I am thrilled to find something which does exactly what I need and no more which is just a way to have a few daily, dated and timed tasks together with a whole bunch of other stuff I need to do in the future at some point. I found that any other more fancy system just falls apart as I’m not going to follow it. So, this is perfect for me. It’s not a huge deal but I am having a problem with tasks not showing up on my Siri watch face but I’ve had that problem with every task manager that I’ve used. T he nice thing about this app is that Reminders to show up so that’s perfect again. Keep up the good work!

Impossible to see anything. I tried this a few years ago and thought I would try it again. Reminders has changed a lot and I wanted to see if this would make it better if. It was impossible to see if it was better. What I saw was my my reminder in very small writing and the smaller text of the note. This I could not read, I could only see that I had to pay for it if I wanted to see any more. I could figure nothing out. Does it all ow SubTasks? Can you make font bigger? What it does and doesn’t do? Generally nice 👍 interface but couldn’t see any calendar items. Until I can see what it now does, I don’t plan to get.

Lots to customize, good widget and complication. So much better than the built-in Reminders app, AND it uses the same data store, so it doesn’t break system integration. I wanted something that used the built in reminders database, had a good customizable widget, and provided a useful Watch complication. THIS IS THE ONE! Honestly, it’s a bit complicated to get set up and understand, but it is totally worth the time. Once it’s set up the way you want it, you just get to enjoy using it.

Best In Class. I’ve been searching for a todo/reminders app that fits my needs for a couple years now and I’ve tried all the top rated apps Wunderlist,Anydo,Evernote, etc. I read about GoodTask a couple months ago and decided what the heck may as well give it a shot, best decision I’ve made in the reminders dept. The app only charges $10 one time so no annual fees which in itself is a bargain for what you get. The list of features is pretty much self explanatory but they recent added programmable dark mode, I can say enough of how awesome that is to have since Apple refuses to give integrated dark mode yet. I’m mainly posting to give a nod to the developers, excellent job keep the upgrades coming.

Excellent todo app!. I have been using todo/reminder apps on the Mac and iOS for many years, particularly 2do or combined calendar/todo apps like BusyCal. This is the best of them all. I love the clean interface, it's easy to customize with smart lists in the sidebar, it syncs quickly and reliably (which 2do sometimes didn't), and it uses Apple's todo/reminders rather than a proprietary format so it's easy to move on to other apps if you choose. My only complaint was that todos were assigned a midnight starting time if "no time" is selected, but this was fixed in version 4.8.

Hands down the best!. Finally. This app is such a breath of fresh air. It’s all the things you love about Todoist, Things, Reminders and Calendar all in one. Take some time to fully configure everything first and experiment with different options to get it setup the way you need it to work. Support is very helpful and quick to reply. I’m coming to this from Todoist as my latest task app and had decided on the switch to GoodTask within an hour of using it. Bought it for my phone and laptop. Haven’t looked back! Not having another monthly subscription is also a huge bonus.

Annoying pop ups to get you to make in app purchases. So, instead of just having certain functions to be marked as “premium” Good Tasks allows you to use them at first and then hounds you to purchase the premium level once your trial runs out and makes so you almost have to redownload the app to make it work properly again, but with the added annoyance of every time you open the app it hounds you to pay for the better version. Wanted to like it, the premium version is really nice, but I am not paying for it. The free version isn’t really free if I can’t even navigate the app for all of the advertisements about updating to the premium. Thoroughly disappointed.

Good before iOS 13. I bought this app 2 weeks before the new iOS 13 update came out and I loved the flexibility and additional features which iOS reminders did not have. Unfortunately with iOS 13 the app is rendered pretty much useless. I contacted the developer and the answer was “performance issues” and it gets “a little better” with iOS 13.1. The interim solution was for me to not use all my reminders lists (not a solution). Well I can say now that even with 13.1 update it is still basically useless and there is no firm plan on when they are going to resolve the problem. I rarely spend $10 on an app and now I feel like I was ripped off. Don’t waste your money on this until they have fixed the issues with iOS 13. UPDATE: At this point now 3 weeks later the app is still useless. My only option is to go back to Todoist which is a far superior app anyway, I just didn’t want to pay the $30 annual fee. I guess you get what you pay for. Wish the developer would give credit to those like me who unknowingly bought an app which was going to become worthless a few days later.

Best task manager app by a mile. After spending years jumping between Tick Tick, Things, 2do, and Apple Reminders I’ve finally found the holy grail of to do apps. I spend a lot of time in task management apps, this checks all the boxes and feels so modern and flawlessly designed. I really love the customization options, like I don’t want overdue tasks to be red and can easily change the theme to accommodate all the color tweaks. The smart button is brilliant - feels like you can access anything anytime, never feel lost in the UI. AMAZING WORK!! Thanks for creating this gem.

Unbelievable!. I wish I could give this app 10 stars! I rarely ever write app reviews, but for this one, I must. For years I have been looking for the “perfect” Task Manager. I have tried almost all of them, and I have found some small and large idiosyncrasies with every one of them. None of them seemed to “do it all”. Until now! My search is over. GoodTask is amazing. It is incredibly customizable, and does absolutely everything that I need. It is so much better than every other Task Manager I have looked at and used. I cannot even begin to explain all its virtues. It seems like every day I find something else to like about it. And what is more, the customer support goes beyond all my expectations. I had a couple of questions after I downloaded it and started walking through all the settings and customizations. They answered almost immediately with just the information I needed. Unlike so many other companies, it was clear that they were really looking at and thinking about my questions. I could not be more impressed. BUY IT! You will not be sorry!

The developer makes this great.. The thing I like most about this app is how responsive the developer is to customers. He’s quick to answer any questions. I even requested a feature, because the app didn’t quite meet my needs. It was implemented with a week or so. The app is now everything I need, and it’s all because the developer provides good service and will be responsive to feedback. The service alone is worth the $9.99 investment, because while the app is good now, you can count on it getting better.

Fits the space between Reminders and Omnifocus amazingly well. I’ve been using GoodTask for <12 hours, but it is amazing. I was looking for an app that uses the Apple Reminders database, but provides a great app experience on iOS, MacOS, and Apple Watch. This app is fantastic for managing my personal tasks that are done mostly at home on nights and weekends (I’m an Omnifocus evangelist for work projects and tasks). GoodTask looks great and is much more customizable than I expected. Easy 5 stars from me!

Perfect!. First, I NEVER just give 5 stars, 4 is normally my personal “high”.. however, you deserve kudos for this app, long-story-short, I was a lonnnnng-time Wunderlist patron, I HATED Microsoft’s ToDo... then Wunderlist sold out, and wanted me to port-over to ToDo, which, as nicely as I can say is a pos💩! Wunderlist had everything I wanted and needed, ToDo did not, it had NO iCal and Reminders connectivity, nor a Widget. I did a search, and found your perfect app! I didn’t even wait the fourteen days, and made my one-time purchase almost immediately! Please don’t ever sell out to Bill Gates, and we’ll be bff’s forever! Thank you!

My Favorite To-Do App. This app is, in my opinion, leaps and bounds better than any other To-Do app I’ve tried. Shout-out to the apple watch app, which I think is way better than the watch app for Things 3. That said, I do wish you had more options for what you can do with tasks from the watch, e.g. setting tasks to a specific time or sending them to different lists. But I am impressed by the amount of freedom on the watch app as-is. Speaking of freedom - this base app gives you a level of customization I haven’t really seen in a productivity app. You can quickly CREATE custom themes for the app and widgets. You can set up all sorts of Quick Actions for editing tasks, chosen from a HUGE selection. You also can create text snippets and due dates that are auto-assigned to new tasks, and set favorites for repeating frequent actions. I also really appreciate the 2-week trial period for using the app before deciding to buy, and I think $10 is very reasonable.

This is THE ONE. I started my search for the Task, Calendar, Project Management app that did everything (and seemingly didn’t exist), about a year ago. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars trying to connect different apps to do what I needed and eventually I had a meltdown yesterday. In a last ditch attempt, I went on Reddit and someone mentioned GoodTask, so what did I have to lose? It. Does. Everything! It has the option to turn tasks into events, it has a beautiful UI, it works with my Apple Watch… I’m stunned. It has customization features I would have eventually figured out I needed! I’m in love. Thank you a thousand times for creating this perfect app! I couldn’t be happier.

Great app. It’s a great app for reminders and tasks, not a bad learning curve and has many features that I have yet to discover! There is always room for improvement. It would be cool if the font was a tad larger, the spacing between tasks was reduced, more distinct differentiation from each task like the use of logos or more color filler, and finally integration with the native calendars app. All these improvements would be greatly welcomed and would soon be my go to task and reminder app to stay focused and productive in the daily grind!

Fantastically customizable client for reminders. I already felt that GoodTask was worth the $9.99 when I bought it last year, but this developer keeps making it better. Over time, they have made using the app more efficient, they have added more functional customization, and they have added the ability to create and share highly customized visual themes. I was pleasantly surprised at how great custom themes are for making information more recognizable at a glance. GoodTask has a two-week free trial and uses the same data as Apple's built-in Reminders app. All the tasks you have in Reminders show up in GoodTask, and any tasks you enter in GoodTask show in Reminders. When you use Siri to add a reminder, it shows up in both Reminders and GoodTask. If you are using reminders, this means you can try out GoodTask, full-featured, for free, with the safety net of easily returning to Reminders, should you decide not to buy GoodTask after the trial. I highly recommend GoodTask for anyone using Reminders who wants a more flexible and powerful task manager without having to re-create your tasks in a new system.

Great except 1 thing. This is a great app. I have it set up to alert me 1 time every 10 minutes for a total of 3 times incase I'm not by my phone the first time the alarm goes off - which is a WONDERFUL feature, matter of fact for me it's the best feature. However, if I check off my task before all 3 alarms I have set up goes off, the alarm continues to go off even though I checked off the task. Or if I finish a certain task early and check off the task, the alarm will still go off 3 times every 10 minutes. If I check off a task, the task should NOT continue to notify me. It's extremely annoying. If this problem could be fixed I would give this app 10 stars!!!

Reminders on Steroids. This app is well worth the $9.99. Integrates with Reminders but more user friendly. My biggest pet peeve with Apple’s Reminders app is you can’t repeat tasks from last completion date. For example, I have a reminder to put salt in my water softer every 10 days. What if I don’t add salt until 5 days after it’s due? Once I complete the task, Reminders app will notify me in 5 days. I don’t want that. I want to be notified 10 days after I completed the task. GoodTask is PERFECT for this. GoodTask is also faster to operate with all its shortcuts. I use Siri a lot, so when I ask Siri to remind me to do something, it shows up in both Reminders and GoodTask. This developer knocked this task out of the ballpark. Great job! Thanks for your creative development!

Amazingly timely and useful updates. Haha Interactive astonishingly keeps finding new features to add. The updates come so often that I honestly can't keept up with them. I need to create a reminder to make me learn all the new configuration options that come out daily. Okay it's not daily but it sure feels like it! Kudos the developer. They're also amazingly communicative to questions and feedback like I've never experienced before. Please, I can't forget one of the most awesome things about this app: it sits on top of Apple Reminders so you can still take advantage of all the Apple-only features, let alone how you don't have have to wall off your todos in another system. You can even switch back and forth between GoodTask if it so suits you! 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

worth it. Used for a week so far This app is awesome and syncs with reminders so whatever you do here shows up in fantastical 🙌🙌🙌 Also there’s a mac app I think it’s 19$ but also worth it. I love that you can customize the apps colors in mobile I love that you can customize the icon for ios home menu I wish they had screenshots in dark mode if I would have seen that I would have purchased 3 months ago but all they have are screenshots of white UI I wish -it was easier to delete an item from a list though - could customize and change the sounds -there was more haptics or the ability to use haptics or vibrations on all menu items I also wish there was an option to remove the floating fab icon of the circle with the star on the bottom right corner of the app

Brilliant in so many ways!!. Like most of you who are taking the time to read this, I’ve spent a small fortune over the years buying every single todo app on the market. No, really... name one, any one, and I guarantee you I’ve bought it. Some of them are better at certain things than others, and that will always be the case, but GoodTask is the one that continually stands above them all for me. It’s one of those apps that constantly — and I do mean constantly — surprises me with extra features I had no idea it had. I’m still discovering amazing things, even after almost a year of using it every single day. I’ll often find myself wishing that it could do a particular thing, and to my surprise, an option to make that happen has existed all along... I just didn’t look deep enough. I spent almost 30 years developing software, and seriously, the level of detailed thought that this developer has put into how to make this app do things is off the charts. I’m very impressed! Five stars from me. I highly recommend this app to everyone!

10 stars!. I’ve been a long-time 2Do user, and I still love its ultra-clean interface, but GoodTask has bumped it off its throne for me. It all boils down to the simplicity of entering a task! There is an initial learning curve, as with any app, but once I customized the Quick Actions, I can now enter a task’s title, and with just a few Quick Action clicks, I have completely configured the task in its appropriate list, with all the time, repeat and alert information set! And since it’s just a front-end to Reminders, getting tasks into an Inbox with Siri is a breeze. Well done!!

I like it a lot but.... I really wish I didn’t have to be forced into paying for the full version upon the latest update. The new update brought the 14 day free trial and since I had been using the app free way before that it just flat out stopped me from using it upon updating. I don’t appreciate the feeling of being forced to do that especially so immediately (maybe I could have had a chance to take the new free trial so I had time to think about it). It happened when I needed it for projects I was working on and hindered that for me. But I really enjoy the interface and I have appreciated the consistent updates so as long as the app does what I need it to and stays good like I feel it has been, I’m alright paying and will rate 5 stars.

Was awesome before iOS 13. I bought the app at around february and It was awesome! I tried Things 3 but I did't like the interface. Before iOS 13 everything worked fine, I could seamlessly sync even when I was offine. When iOS 13 came, I upgraded my Reminders database, and it ruined the whole app. Now sync only works through iCloud, so I have to be online. Even when I do have internet the sync between the app and the watch is really slow. Funny thing is that if I add a new item on the watch, it syncs offline but not the other way... Now I'm searching again for a great reminder app, that is like Goodtask but works for iOS 13. 😔

Doesn’t seem to provide basic functions. There doesn’t be a way to get the app to show tasks that are not completed. The only ways I could get it to show any tasks at all were to either (a) click on the little square icon at the bottom, which sometimes brings up a monthly calendar for a previous month, with the tasks that were due, but not anything current. I have about 1700 uncompleted tasks, and not one appears in this app, though GoodTask is set to include this reminders list, and they all seem to show up in the Reminders app. Also, the same developer has two different apps that seem to try to do the same thing (“GoodTask” and “GoodTask 3”) but each has features the other lacks. Why not merge them into one and keep all of the best features?

GET THIS ONE. I have left a total of probably three app reviews in my life, including this one. That’s how compelled I felt to write this. I am obsessed with to-do apps that combine with calendars so I can time things out and also works with tags so I can sort them. I’ve used Todoist, BusyCal, fantastical, reminders, anydo and several other paid and free options. This is the only one that has checked every single box for me, and it has gotten consistently better with each update. (Today, I wanted to view things differently and stumbled upon a super simple way to toggle the view to horizontal over vertical lists.) Love the developers. So many features packed into one awesome app.

GoodTask has been life changing. Not only is this my favorite app on my phone, it is probably the single most important tool in my life. I was a heavy reminders user already as I have real trouble remembering things, but I had never found a solution that suited my needs nearly as well as GoodTask. The customization allowed me to basically turn the app into exactly what I needed. I am a developer as well and had been considering building my own task manager, but with GoodTask there is no need. This app is complicated and not for the casual reminders user. Reminders is the app for that. But if you have 100s of reminders across several lists or need lists that combine, filter, and sort other lists then this app has the perfect level of complexity. Spend the 5 minutes to customize your task view and quick actions and never look back.

Not quite there yet. In the never ending search for the end all task manager I can add this one to a close but no cigar attempt. After using this for 3 months there are bugs that have persisted since day 1 and the UX for me has been tepid at best. I found the Quick Actions a little overwhelming at first. And while I love the idea behind the smart lists and color coded categories, the inconsistency of uncompleted tasks, refresh issues, and syncing between devices has forced me to move on continue my search. The price is also arguably high. For what the app offers I’d say $10 is a bit much, let alone the cost for iPad and MacOS versions as well. In short I would definitely maximize the trial period and really dissect the app to make sure it fits your daily needs before you pull the trigger. The app has good intentions but is plagued with bugs and a clunky design.

Impressive. I have spent a couple of days with this app and so far I mostly like it. I have used TD, Things, and multiple other tools trying to get the right flow and fit. I enjoy paper and pen (analog) as much as digital. I am constantly trying to improve upon both from a productivity and efficiency standpoint. The verdict is still out for GT but so far I like the complete freedom to create the flow that fits my needs. The one thing I am seeing is the UI is not as crisp as some of the other apps named above but GT offers so many options that it’s hard not to find something you don’t like. However, I really don’t like how ‘large’ the image of imprint shows up when using a URL to attach or paste in the notes section. Is there a fix or work around for this?? Thank you for taking the time to continue to create and improve this app. I hope it keeps getting better!

Exactly what I’ve been searching for. Let me start off my saying I NEVER buy apps that are over $0.99. At first I thought I wasted ten dollars, but once I figured out the settings I was able to utilize this app exactly the way I wanted to. My husband and I share family iOS reminders and calendars, but I wanted something more comprehensive for subtasks, and mainly recurring events so I could check off habits throughout the day without having to uncheck a full list every morning. But I also didn’t want to disturb his process and make him download a new app. The other thing I wanted was a place where I could see my calendar events and tasks all in one place, and once I figured out that I could turn off “separate calendar events,” all my boxes were checked. The smart lists were a bonus, as I didn’t understand when I bought it just how customizable they were. I have smart lists for every vantage point that I normally had to manually search in the native iOS app, and I feel like even though there was a little learning curve, it’s going to save me so much time moving forward.

Awesome capabilities & support. GoodTask is an amazing adjunct to Apple’s Reminders. The capabilities the developer has managed in include are amazing, and the UI is spot-on, and it’s for this reason that I find myself using GoodTask often when I previously would have used a full blown Project Management system, and I have all the major players installed on my devices, and many of the minor ones... Capabilities in an app aren’t of much benefit if it requires 3, 4 or even more taps/swipes to get to them, so it’s a lot better to get something you need to remember into a system that you can rely on and know that by the time you get it entered, you won’t have forgotten the other stuff on your mind. This app’s support is also as good as you can get. Replies are not only prompt, but never like the “we don’t do it that way, and you don’t understand because you’re not as smart as we are” ones you frequently get when you make suggestions to the big players in the Task & Project Management apps space...

👍🏻 great for making the best use of Reminders. I really enjoy the power features this app brings to the table. Unlike the built-in Reminders app, GoodTask allows you to create “Smart Lists” based on just about any criteria you want to specify. I use it to view my tasks based on importance first (!!!, !!, !), then urgency (due date) – following the ideas behind the Eisenhower Matrix. My primary concern is that the app sometimes gets “stuck” showing me old data, usually if I’ve made changes on another device. No amount of in-app refreshing fixes the problem, I have to force-quit GoodTask to get it to show me the changes. Not a big deal when I *know* I’ve made changes elsewhere, but a problem if I end up working on stale data!

Not happy yet. I just got the app. I’ve spent 2 hours over two days just entering data and losing it. Can’t figure out how to add a “heading”. I keep being referred to the internet. My Wi-Fi connection isn’t working so there seems to be no help. I am not happy that i can’t also get this on my iPad without paying $20 plus the $10 for the iphone. And i don’t have the mac yet because my computer is in repair. I do not see “help” at the bottom of the page. Or wherever it’s supposed to be. It seems awfully complicated to make a list. I bought it impulsively because i’m add and always looking for new organizational ideas. I’ll keep trying for awhile, but i hope i get help and response from the creators.

YESSS!!!! FINALLY!!!!. I’ve literally been looking for this since I started trying to find a good task based app for three years! Never tried this one, it’s perfect. I finally have tasks, calendar, and to dos in ONE PLACE!!! It drives me crazy to fill out calendar events in iOS or google based calendars/apps, write notes and tasks/to do lists in iOS notes, and reminders in iOS reminders! It drives me crazy to not have a simple, central based hub where I can just get an overall look at everything in my day!!! 😡 This app is IT!!! Thank god!!! Don’t change a thing- it’s perfect! -well, maybe not perfect, perfect but, man... Close enough! Thank you! I would like the ability to attach pdf’s and URL’s from emails~ whatever, not a make it or break it for me. ORRRR, maybe email too? 😮 The only real thing I think needs addressed is when adding a task it doesn’t allow you to edit the details right away, you have to give it a name then go find it and add the particulars after, but, like I said a minor thing compared to the overall convenience of this planner. Awesome app!

Exactly what I wanted. This app is exactly what I wanted: It builds on top of iOS Reminders, so you can still natively use Siri, but it also enables features like Due Date (which Apple has inexplicably removed from Reminders, even though the functionality is still there on the backend). And it integrates with Outlook, so you can manage both personal Reminders and work Tasks from a single app (since the Outlook iOS app doesn't allow you to manage your Tasks). I've never written a review for an app before, but honestly my love for GoodTask 3 knows no bounds. A streamlined task management system is absolutely crucial for any professional in the modern age, and the integration of this app into my personal Getting Things Done system has dramatically improved my productivity. I have the Pro version, and it might be the best $5 I've ever spent.

I can’t say enough good about Goodtask. This app is easily in the same league as some of the much more expensive GTD heavy hitters and at a fraction of the cost. The dev is very responsive and constantly working to make it even better. It’s actually a front-end for Apple’s built-in reminders app, but adds all the functionality and customizability that’s missing from reminders. If you’re looking for a solid, flexible, reliable to-do app but the price tag of Things and Omnifocus (both great apps, but NOT cheap) is intimidating, or you’re suffering from subscription fatigue, try Goodtask. 👍

If you like Apple Reminders but want more from it, this is the app you NEED. I’m pretty sure this is the most underrated task management app out there. I love many of the features Apple Reminders offers, but need more than its UI gives us. GoodTask solves this problem. GoodTask is a highly-customizable GTD app that uses Reminders as a database. GoodTask effectively sits on top of Reminders, leveraging the features that Reminders has but layering on a lot more. GoodTask and Reminders sync effortlessly and I’ve had no trouble using both apps together (GoodTask makes this really easy, allowing you to open up any task Reminders if you want). But most of my day is spent in GoodTask, both on my iPhone and Mac. I’ve customized GoodTask to resemble a GTD approach, using smartlists, default inbox, and tags. I really like the quick actions and theme maker. Anything I can do to make an app more in line with my preferences is appreciated. If you love Reminders but still don’t like the interface or lack of customization options, or just want some additional features, GoodTask is the app for you. It also ensures that you’re not uploading your tasks and info to some random database, as everything is managed in iCloud. This developer has done some amazing work.

Welp, This Is It. The Best To-Do App.. Like many others, I’ve tried tons of to-do apps, in search of the best one. Good Task is one of the best apps for several reasons, but mainly because it works so well with Apple’s native apps,is insanely customizable, & works as a middle man between many other apps. For example, I can create a button that opens my pomodoro app, so I can quickly focus on a task. I can duplicate tasks as events, so that they show up in my calendar. I can set tasks to repeat with specific offsets, create routines based relative dates/times, and I can totally customize how the app looks. I spent time oscillating between Things 3 & Good Task, but Things 3 didn’t work well enough with my other app choices & offered no way to visualize the duration of tasks or events. So, Good Task is it for me. I love it. & I’m so excited to continue using it. The developer regularly updates the app, so I’m super happy with it. There’s a one-time purchase and an optional $9.99 annual subscription. I’m going to go ahead and support the app past the one-time purchase, soley because it’s a great app.

Amazing reminders app. I absolutely love this app. I desperately needed something to help organize task/reminders that would syn with phone and watch with better customization than the reminders app on iPhone. This met my expectations and beyond! The customization is great and makes it so that you can get reminders as often or a little as you like. It also has the ability to set reminders every 10 minutes and beyond which the native apple reminders app doesn’t have. It is well worth the money!

Recently lagging more than usual. I absolutely love this app and I’m giving it time for a couple more updates before further lower my rating. But lately there’s a long lag time between tapping any Quick Action where the app freezes, and I can’t tell whether it registered the action or not. I swipe up/down to make sure that it froze then just watch for it to catch up. Pretty frustrating! The same thing happens and is especially bad on creation of a brand new task.

Can’t function without it. I’ve used this for about a year now and I cannot believe how underrated this app is. It became so integrated into my life that I’m not sure how I would function without it. Typing out a new task with a due date and time is a breeze, no fussing about with menus to select a due date. The customizable quick actions are great for shifting tasks around on the fly too as priorities change. Most importantly, if something goes wrong, the support is outstanding. Quick to respond and quick to fix issues.

The search is finally over!. This is the first review I ever post for anything, but the developers of this app do deserve one. I’ve downloaded and played around with 15-20 to do list/task management apps in the past few days. I wasn’t sure or completely happy with any of them... until I found this one. A good and customizable widget was a must for me and this app checks that mark. The available functionalities are unique and very useful, and the app is extremely flexible. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Reminders App. There’s so much to love about this app. It integrates perfectly with Apple’s Reminders app. It’s also highly customisable (time presets, task detail display, theme colours etc.). I’ve tried a LOT of to-do apps, and I find myself coming back to this. There’s a couple of things I would like to see though. I don’t use the “Goals” function at all, and find it a little confusing, but I’d love to see a “Habits” option introduced (similar to TickTick). I’d also like an option to switch to a “card” style design for the task list (perhaps similar to Memento or Moleskine’s Actions). Just my two cents! Congratulations to the developer(s). Amazing job!

Love the versatility and clean interface. It’s the sorta app that if you wish that something was changed or was different, there’s probably a setting for you to edit and make it perfectly tailored to you. Near perfect app in my opinion.

Worth the $$. Just got this and while the price tag might seem hefty, it’s definitely worth it. I’m not sure what Apple plans to do with reminders, but at the moment it seems stagnant. While I don’t picture Apple putting something like this out, I can imagine that if Apple /wanted/ to put out customisable apps, it would look like this. The smart lists are really useful, the Apple Watch and Today widget are great, Quick actions are great for making tasks & interacting with notifications, text snippets make new tasks quick and the options with Views (list/day/etc) are great. If you use reminders for more than a simple list of groceries, you’ll benefit from this app.

Life changingly good. This app is the best task manager on the market. Simple on the face making it easy to use, yet deep in features making it powerful. Easily organise tasks into groups and add sub tasks. Drag and drop to reorganise days to weeks to months at a time. Reports to look back and see what’s been achieved. Quick actions to make adjustments easily. This app runs my entire life now, I couldn’t live without it. Highly recommended.

Just One App. GoodTask is the only app you need to keep track of all your lists and calendar items. Things to Do, Shopping, Reminders, you can handle them all in this easy to use app.

Magic. Best calendar, reminder app to get things done and well organised app. Works like magic and brilliant to use with great features. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed with this app that works with you, for you to stay organised.

I'm done. Yeah, I'm done with this app. Tired of supporting developers who launch an iteration of an app as if it's a new app, and want more money. Also, the GUI is ugly and I'm not prepared to pay 8 bucks for "themes".

Great app. Just works

Perfect. Syncs with Apple reminder list and Apple OS. No other database needed. Easily add tasks with Siri. Works seamlessly with Calander apps (my current preference MiCal) so reminders show up in calendar. Infinitely tweakable. I add reminders via Siri and finetune time tags alerts etc with Quickactions. Everything can be modified. No subscription.

Love love love. Love this app and how you can do so much with it, would absolutely recommend. What would be even better would be if you could set tasks to repeat on a specific weekday (ie every Monday), add that feature and this app would be perfect. Update: you now can! I can conclude this app is perfect. I don’t think I’ll ever use any other to do list app. So intuitive and complicated enough that it can adapt to anyones lifestyle, yet once you get the hang of it the interface is easy to use and understand. Life changingly good!

Overpriced. Effective as a ‘to do’ list, but they are a dime a dozen, so not sure why you would want to pay $15 to use this one. Make sure you read the fine print before downloading!

Pretty good but not perfect. This app is pretty good but there's definitely room for improvement! If you delete your reminders app (because you're sick of reminders doubling up from this app and the reminders app) you loose everything you entered into this app. When you delete the reminders app, you still get double reminders from both apps for items that you set to have an alert. My smart lists randomly disappear sometimes along with my custom quick actions. If you want to set a date for the next year - no idea if that's even possible as dates only have day / month.

The UI has turned into Japanese after new version eas installed!!. UI has turned into Japanese and cannot be changed back to English. this has made the app pretty useless.

An essential app. I have been using GoodTask for years and consider it a essential on all my devices. No question it’s the No 1 replacement for Apple reminders which it super charges. Fantastic customization - Very feature rich and implemented in a way that you can keep it simple or show the features you use most. Regular updates and excellent support from the developers. I recommend you try it and buy it!

Hands down the best. Every other app is so complicated but this is simple to use and ties well with the ios reminders app. Love it. Going to pay for the full unlock after 2 weeks

Busy interface. Functionality is good, but user interface is not easy. Creates dodgy notes in your reminders. Says is family sharing but is not and asks you to pay an extra $15 to unlock everything for each family member

Couldn’t live without it now. To-do / productivity apps. I have tried them all. Believe me. But I have settled on GoodTask and am not going anywhere. The two huge benefits for me are: 1. Built on top of the native reminders architecture, so I can work with reminders so easily on any device (e.g. yelling a reminder at my watch) with no need to specify application names etc. Everything is just captured and ends up in GoodTask where I want it. 2. Flexibility. The Smart Lists and tags etc. let you build your own system that is as simple or advanced as you want it. Great app and great support. Thanks guys.

Almost perfect. Works extremely well keeping my reminders and calendars all in one place. Only feature I really would like to see implemented would be the ability to add calendar events via the app (right now I can only seem to be able to create tasks that sync with my reminders app, but nothing that syncs with my calendar).

Never forget a thing. Great App for staying on top of everything in your life

I didn’t really use this app but.... I didn’t really use this app but it updated and now i can’t do anything but look at my old tasks. I can’t make new tasks, edit my old tasks or even check off my tasks. And I have to pay $14 to actually do anything on this app!

Outstanding. Recommended by Federico Vittici - I knew this had to be good. My favourite app on the app store

Excellent interface to the iOS calendar and reminder tools makes a really useful tool. An excellent summary tool for managing tasks, reminders and calendar items. Uses the iOS apps but gives a simple summary display. You see only what's relevant, and can tick them off, modify or create items. Particularly like that you only see calendar items for later that day - too many apps show the full days list. Even better in the latest version. As an old guy I LOVE huge fonts. And the long press to manipulate date and times on existing items is a very good idea. Great package just gets better! And now, widget! :)

Everything is perfect but board view is not usable. This is a fantastic app and i love it so much. The board view order currently does not changes according to the list your are on, so the first few tags are often empty and very bad for visibility. Can you please make it in descending order so that the tag that contains task will be at the front and the empty tags will be at the back(or hidden). I also wish to hide tags that are not in the list. Thank you!

Wonder app.. Love the integration across devices.

Excellent app!. Efficiency gain is the best way to rate this app. I use this app as my default 'what's next' app and for organising my day in a quick and easy fashion. Very happy😁

Awesome app. Awesome app. Use it everyday. I love the ability to customise the buttons so that I can create reminders with minimal clicks.

Great app, helpful team. Great app with a very responsive and hard working team- just what you want when you invest in an app! 😊

It’s Ok. It’s Ok but I prefer Apple Reminders it’s just so simple and has everything I need.

An important feature request from a 2 year old supporter. I've been a paying member of this great app for 2 years now. Please add the feature of automatic date and time parsing. For example, if I write remind ne XYZ on 24may at 10am, it should automatically set an alert on 24may at 10am. Please add this feature. Very very important for continuous support.

i bought it for one reason ... but like it for many!. I bought this app for just one reason - I had many 100's of reminders with old dates/alarms attached and could find no way to remove them in bulk after scouring every user forum you could think of. This app did it painlessly in bulk in 2 seconds. Then I decided to try out all the other features - this is BY FAR the best reminders app in the app store. If you use it for nothing else but a highly configurable maintenance utility for your reminders it pays for itself many times over ...but the reality is you get much much more for your money.

Works well! Does the job for me!. I tested quite a few tasks apps and this was the best! It integrates flawlessly with Apple Reminders, which means the data can be accessed on my computer as well. Recommended!

OK, but...... .... while it works well, it does not update the Apple Watch complication. Shame, otherwise it would be perfect.

So close. I wanted to love this app but unfortunately, the refresh with Reminders is way too slow. I should have tested it thoroughly before buying.

good !!. Best app to control my todo and schedule.

Perfect fit!. Practical and intuitive task management.

Buggy?. I find that the app is acting up lately— list items can’t be entered, the whole list disappears and/or is slow to update.

By far the best task manager. This is the best Task Manager I have used. I am happy to have supported the dev as well as doing the french translation. Sync with all my devices and I can share a list with coworker and one with my wife.

Not sure about the other reviews. I’m seeing a lot of hate about sync delays. Granted, I’ve only used it for one day but I’m seeing sync timing of about 5-10 seconds max. Maybe the developer fixed a bug or something? This app is really well thought-out with a ton of customization options. Kudos to developers like this that clearly put their heart and soul into their apps. The only critical thing missing for my workflow is truly persistent notifications - like Apple’s Reminders that remain in the top portion of the Lock Screen (if it’s possible). It’s what kept me glued to the feature-lacking Reminders app for so long.

Hugely Overlooked. I've had this app for a while and kind of dabbled with it here and there. Just recently it's become something of a revelation to me. It's really very well done. A lot of features and does a great job leveraging reminders into something really powerful. I really appreciate the design aesthetic as well. Clean and pleasing to work with. Dark and light themes with some in between. It's also one of he few todo's that allow sharing (via reminders) while also showing tasks inline with calendar events. I really hope Goodtask 4 is in the works. Highly recommend this app. It can hang with some pretty heavy hitters in the productivity world. Don't overlook it!

Not working with iOS 13. Stopped working once I upgraded to ios13. Even tried different devices..useless app now. No response from support.

Built on Reminders. This is the only task app I found that doesn’t push its own database on you and stores in plain old vanilla reminders, so it’s compatible with everything (shortcuts, Siri, etc). Then you get all the power of using GoodTasks as a front end app instead of the Reminders app. The developer is also extremely responsive on the forums, and was able to troubleshoot and bug fix an issue I found within hours. Highly recommend!

Confused about Ver 3. I am using Good task 2 enjoyed it so far. Now I started using the Ver 3. User interface is better but I can't edit an existing reminder such as changing date, time etc! Am I missing something?

Awful and convoluted. Sad I bought this app a while ago. Kept wishing it would get simpler and it’s get more convoluted all the time. Gone forever. Adios.

The Power User’s Best Friend. I have tried every single task manager on the planet. That might be an exaggeration, but only small one. GoodTask beats them all. Here’s two ways it excels. First, its high degree of customizability. Plan on taking a couple of hours to get familiar with the different settings and set it up the way you want it. Once you do, you’ll love it. The ability to have different default views for different lists, and to have those defaults sync between desktop and mobile, is so nice. It finally makes it possible to have one task manager seamlessly usable for both personal and work use. Second, it is built on the rock-solid foundation of Apple’s own Reminders. This means, for one, your data is safe. There’s some pretty slick task managers out there being built by small start ups, and while I like some of their ideas, I simply don’t trust them with my data. If GoodTask goes belly up, I’ve got all my reminders still accessible and functional. The Reminders basis also means that you can use Siri natively, as well as all kinds of tools that plug into Apple Reminders—from Shortcuts to IFTTT— so the ecosystem with this app is so much bigger than anything else I’ve used. I don’t like that I can’t drag and drop things on a calendar within the app. But guess what? Because it’s built on Apple Reminders, I can do that in Fantastical. I could go on and on… Can’t recommend this app highly enough.

Hard to imagine Apple Reminders without GoodTask. GoodTask is an amazing app! I simply wouldn’t use the stock Apple Reminders app. GoodTask adds so many features and usability improvements. I highly recommend GoodTask!

"Premium" features?!. Being able to connect this app to the Today widget is considered extra now?? No way am I paying $7 for basic functionality. Fastest app deletion in a long time. What a waste of time!

Become unusable for me. I have been paying, promoting, and using GoodTask for about as long as it’s been around. It’s always been ideal for me, both in philosophy, and functionality. Lately, however, the lag while it synchronizes - an event we can’t control - has made it unusable. That, combined with the added features in Reminders, and a shortcut to solve my one remaining problem, has forced me to switch back to Reminders. The problem is that I have a number (perhaps 20), of reminders I check off almost every day, and I do it in quick succession. I then have to wait for GoodTask to synch, and then confirm they all synched, and then repeat several times. I suspect this may have been forced on the developer by a change by Apple, but still. It is unfortunate this has occurred. If it gets fixed, or a workaround is put in place, I’ll be back, but until then... so long.

Slow and unstable. I love the features of this app but the constant freezing, crashing and lag make this app unusable for me. I suspect the problem lies with syncing with Apple Reminders of which the developer seems to have little control. It’s unfortunate that he can’t make this app run independently of Reminders, like many other reminder/to-do apps work. If he’s able to fix the bugs in the future I’ll consider returning but the current version is just too frustrating to use.

Excellent and feature packed. All the features and options you could want means this app adapts to YOUR workflow. This is the only todo replacement app that ties into iOS reminders and calendar, perfect for those of us with self hosted setups.

Great app!. So, I moved from Things 2 to GoodTask 3; I did so as I didn't feel the new cost of Things 3 was something I could stomach and the new features weren't enough to keep me. After looking around, I found GoodTask, I liked how it worked and the fact that it is a front-end of sorts for Reminders and Calendar, so a good way to task manage. Overall it is great, quick, simple and easy to use. The developer so far, has been very good when I have been asking questions related to this version and the two week demo Mac version. I will be using this for a while now and the desktop version too. This works great on the iPhone and my iPad as well.

Shocked. I am a little upset that the app won’t allow me to restore my purchases. Also, the app became more clumsy and less useful. Why can’t the devs keep things useful?!

Love it!. Syncs great with my O365/Outlook tasks.

Great in the app, but terrible outside it. GoodTask is a really well featured add on to reminders. It uses the super reliable built in sync of reminders to add a litany of new amazing features. Unfortunately once you leave the app it’s virtually useless. The Watch corner complication shows only the number of tasks you need to do (thanks, I’ll pass on extra stress in my life). The notification gives you the option to snooze or complete, and that’s all. And the force touch only gives options for new task, no list specific creation. So if you GoodTask is an incredible app that adds all of the missing features on top of reminders, at the cost of every other interaction method.

JUST A 14 DAYS TRY !!. I hate when it happen ... you download sometings said <<>> and the they tell you that you have to pay to continue after 14 days.

Extremely customizable. I came to this app after years of using another when Apple messed up Reminders in 2020. It takes a bit to get used to the interface but it gets easier over time. The extreme customizability makes it well worth the effort to learn the app in-depth. Uses native iCloud sync and Siri which is great.

Much better. I’ve switched in and out of using GoodTask as my go to reminders app but I have to say, with the improvements to the app’s notifications and the ability to quickly apply your Quick Actions within the notification, the choice is now set (barring unexpected changes). Apple’s reminders is “good enough” but really would benefit from this kind of design thinking. Great work. The only challenge I have is that pressing Quick Actions on the watch app does nothing and just closes the reminder. I’ve stopped using that but it’s a small price to pay for what is probably the best designed notification handling I’ve used on the phone.

Get real. You think I'm paying $7 so I can set the font size? *deleted*

Watch calendar needs to update. Lovely app that is more visually pleasing than the native IOS calendar and Reminders, but the top thing on the calendar is that that shows up as the complication on the Apple Watch. This needs to tick over during the day so that the next thing comes up on the watch.

Great app. The author keeps pushing out updates

Not a fan of the UI. I’m a product designer and I still found it difficult to use the UI of this app. Icons are not intuitive and I found myself clicking everywhere while trying to guess what things mean. The learning curve is just too steep for something that should be really easy. Uninstalled.

Replacement. This app has completely replaced my default reminders app on my iPhone unbelievable app that is extremely helpful and easy to navigate. Of course there can be a few adjustments here and there to the overall appearance to help match how the current iOS is set up. But this is for sure quickly made it into my top five at the list in my phone. Must try out!!

Good Task 3 >>>>>>>>> iOS Reminders. Still a front runner for the best To-Do-List / Reminders / Tasks app despite the competition (and obvs puts the native iOS app to shame). Great design, fully customizable, integrated with calendars, includes priority settings, create a new task right from the Today Widget, all the things! (I only wish the Today Widget included subtasks. Maybe a future feature? Please?)

Get it done!. This is by far the best task app I’ve used. The filtering options and smart lists provide a unique and powerful way to keep organized. You could easily use it as a simplistic todo app, but the more time you put into learning and customizing, the more productive you will become! Definitely worth the money!

Reminders on Steroids. This app is what you would hope the iOS Reminders app would be. I sync my reminders via CalDAV and managing them with the Reminders app is just plain awful. GoodTasks feels so much better just like one of the big to do apps. I like the fact that GoodTasks delegates the data model and syncing to iOS (and let user synchronize via CalDAV) and focuses on user friendliness when managing tasks.

Amazing! 😯👌🏼🏅. What an amazing app/developer! I’m always looking for apps that utilize existing iOS data sources and provide a better interface; this is that app for Reminders. I was looking for a task app for my Apple Watch and found this one. It has every option you could want in a watch app: myriad complications and customization. A single purchase price and optional subscription (strictly to show support) are also the perfect setup 👌🏼 My only issue with the app is that it’s a lot to digest and learn; all the power comes at a price. But the online help and videos are well done and explain everything fairly well. I’ve got a fair understanding after 2 days but there’s plenty more that I’m ignoring for now 😅 Lastly, I’ve read the 1-star reviews. They are morons 😠

One of the best, if not the best Todo app. This app is arguably one of the greatest Todo apps or there. The customization options truly set this app apart. After the last update with the "Things" like Today view I think I'm in love. I hadn't deleted my Things app yet but this is finally pushing it over the cliff. Keep up the great work.

Great app but watch app needs improvement. I love GoodTask when they added Apple Watch app I was so happy. So far it glitches and when I mean glitches I mean that when you finish your tasks the number doesn’t lower on the watch app. For example I add 4 tasks, the number on watch app doesn’t change, until like hours after. I wish they can fix this bug, love the fact you can add tasks via watch

Locations and reminders don't always work. I use this app a lot, and it's been very helpful in my life but there are a couple issues with it. Reminders don't always work on the app, and I usually get a "please try again" error when trying to use a location based reminder. I'm posting this review in hopes that the developer will see it and offer help, because there do not seem to be any forums for the app.

Great but need more improvements. The app is great and functions well. It also have multiple good options and syncs with iOS reminders app. Could be improved by adding more versatility to the text snippets and by giving the choice to choose task starting time instead of due time, with the alert button set at start time. Also to add events and sync them with the calendar app. Thanks!

Best To Do App I’ve Used. I have tried ever to-do app on the App Store, and this app is by far the best. It integrated seamless with Apple’s iCloud system. It works with Siri. It have every option I need to organize, sort and label notes and lists. I highly recommend this app for anyone who likes very organized task lists.

Great for Apple Watch. I use this app as a task list on my watch. It’s almost perfect! Great layout, easy to use and nice features. My only wish is that when you tap on a task to view its details on your watch that there was added to to the menu items an option to delete the task. That way you could not only mark it complete but later simply delete it from the list without pulling out your phone. Definitely 5 stars then.

This is it. I finally found it. Exactly what I needed. An app that won’t allow me to forget ANYTHING!!! You can set multiple snoozes (unlike Apple Reminders). I love how it syncs with Apple Reminders but doesn’t delete them like my previous task app. This has so many personalization options. It’s just THE BEST. Literally saving my life over here!!!

Essential app!. I never write reviews, but this is the one. This app doesn’t compare with Apples reminders, it’s clean, easy, and easily integrated with all my devices and calendars. Worth the one time $10 purchase. I use this app everyday, every other hour; without it i’d be so unorganized. If you’re looking for a planner, reminder, calendar, and even a place to jot down notes and thoughts, I wouldn’t use any other app.

Everything I’ve been wanting in the iOS reminders app. This app is great! It’s so easy to see all of your upcoming tasks, and I love that it syncs with the native reminders app. It’s also super easy to reschedule tasks to a different day. Love the clean, minimalist aesthetic.

Really Quite Good. I have been a Todoist user for many years. I grew frustrated with the lack of improvement so I decided to give GoodTask a try. I have not been disappointed. As long as you don’t need non-Apple access, GoodTask is powerful enough and elegantly designed. Plus there are some advantages to syncing with Apple Reminders. GoodTask is worth a try!

Great Task Manager!. I’ve used all of the best task managers and this is far away my favorite, and cheaper than most. It doesn’t have every feature but it is a good solid set of functionality. For me the way it presents information with themes makes very nice to use. The set of programmed buttons and Smart Buttons is very configurable and great to use as well. Hope they add real alerts using texting as an option, like todoist. Try this one, very impressed so far!

Amazing App, Great Developer. This solves the organizing dilemma between calendar and reminders seamlessly. So much so to the point that I couldn’t tell you what reminders looks like any more and I only access the calendar to organize dates on my laptop. Apple should be buying this little app to reward such an amazing developer and simply making this the default reminders app. It. Is. Perfect.

Finally, a task and list app that fits my needs!. Just excellent! Really love this app and I've been using and changing task list apps for many many years and finally found one that does almost everything. The only thing I wish it had is a Windows/PC way of connecting. Otherwise, excellent! Better yet, I had a user install setting mistake and emailed support and actually got timely and excellent support! A great app with great support ! Thank you to Hanbum Kim!

Does not send notifications!. I used this over a year ago and I loved it, but then it stopped sending notifications so I stopped using it. I recently started using it again and it worked great, BUT then about a week later it stop sending notifications. I restarted my iPhone and I even turn Apple Reminders notifications on and off and it made no difference. My iPhone was not silenced and I do not use Focus, plus my other apps were sending notifications. GoodTask does not send me notifications. It’s a great app and I love using it, so please fix it. PS I read on the forum that another user was having the same issue and the developer or his team responded that it’s probably a syncing issue. I know in my case it’s not a syncing issue because when I make tasks in GoodTask, Apple Reminders on my computer are sending notifications.

Doesn’t Recognize Previous Purchase?. I bought a full version of GoodTask in 2015. However, when I tried to install it on my phone in March 2018, it prompted me to buy it again and apparently didn't respond to the Restore Purchase button. After closing the app and reopening it, I no longer see the prompt, but I don't know if that's temporary or permanent. If it stops working after the trial period, I'll be back. Otherwise, this is a pretty good app.

Almost 5 stars. This app is what I’m looking for but it has some issues with Apple Watch. The app freezes and won’t restart or respond, when the app does work it doesn’t show all my upcoming events or reminders. I think this app could be great so I’m going to wait and see if there is an update before asking for my money back. If it gets fixed this is a 5 star app.

An essential to keep life under control ❣️. GoodTask 3 is already a critical component in my productivity workflow and it just keeps on getting better. 😍 The new color picker and ability to set the sort options for each list are fantastic enhancements. It’s worth EVERY penny to this Super User to be a supporter. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a some help to keep a busy life under control.

Best Task Management tool. I’ve been using GoodTask for a long time now. My favorite view is a list of my priority to-do list over my calendar schedule for the next week. The number of options can be a little intimidating at first, but well worth spending the time to figure it out. The icing on the cake is the excellent homescreen widget, which lets me see a lot of information quickly. GoodTask is the best!

Widgets Broken Already. In general a great front end to the Reminders function. A 4-star app prior to iOS 14. However, since t developer opted to jump right into the new OS, I must rate on current intent. The widgets looked promising at first, but a couple of weeks in, GT’s are already broken. I can’t even see s description when I try to add them, let alone get them to function. Fortunately doing things the old-fashioned way still works, but this is a daily use app for me, and I’m all in with Widgets for my daily use apps. Back to 4 stars if it’s fixed soon.

Trial is not real. I wanted to try this app out, to see if it fit my needs. However, the 14 day trial is NOT helpful. All I can do is view my tasks. I can’t create new or interact with them without paying full price. You can’t even get into the app settings! What good is a 14 day trial if I can’t actually try anything?

Great replacement for Reminders & Calendar. If you want an app that adds power to your reminders, gives you a way to view your reminders and calendar events in one place, AND uses iCloud for the data instead of an entirely different system this is the app for you. Highly customizable and very easy to use.

Seems like the perfect app but has lots of bugs... I almost never leave reviews but I'm doing so this time because I see a lot of potential in this app. On the surface it seems like it has everything I need. The type of app that I'd gladly pay $10 for. However, so far using the free 14 day trial, the app appears to be extremely buggy. The biggest issue for me right now is that every time I set a due date for a task it reverts to "No Due Date." I need the ability to attach due dates to tasks, without that the app is unusable for me. Hope they get this fixed soon, I'd love to give it another try if they do.

Incredible app and developer. Great app that is really well thought out with so many nuanced options, really great for power users. Nice thing is that it’s an interface to your native iCloud Reminders, so you’re not tied to one app. And the developer is super responsive and listens. My most used paid app.

better than regular reminders app. more in depth than the iOS reminders app, but also allows you to maintain simplicity for things you don’t necessarily need to be complex. would it be possible to set nagging reminders that continuously go off until you check it off your list? I wish I could set nagging reminders that go off more than just five times max.

Great tool, fantastic support. My first App Store review .. moved to do so by the developer support I got (twice) when having issues with reminders and the app. GoodTask is great for folks who need more control over task details. The watch app works well for both tracking and completing tasks quickly. My experience with the developer's helpful, patient support (in the face of tricky issues) makes me a very happy customer.

EW. When I first started using this app, it was awesome and I would of gave it 5 stars. I just did an update on my phone and suddenly it doesn’t work so good, it locks up all the time, it will not display some entries. It runs really slow. I just donated another $10 to help support this app support so I’m hoping they will come up with some more bug fixes. I really like it for organization and don’t want to switch to another app. I do think it is the best app out there for keeping track of appointments and tasks.

Great for tasks, needs more calendar. This is a great app for task lists and reminders and i like their approach. I saw that it wanted access to the Calendar though so i was really hoping it had some calendar view functionality. I hope that the developer expands this app in the future to include some calendar view functionality for working with Apple calendar and Reminders in one app. That said, it is a task app and it does a good job.

Still the one essential in my limited selection of tools. I’m a stickler for using built-in functionality over third-party applications. I’ve been using this for years, probably as early as it was first released, and remains the one that I rely on the most, daily and multiple ways, on multiple platforms.

Watch... I love this app! Only drawback for me is the time it takes to sync with my watch... very slow. Reminders & calendar events update instantly on iPhone 8 Plus. This is probably a function of the watch’s ability. Built in Reminders app syncs instantly to watch from phone or cloud. Hopefully this excellent app will work on it or... if I’m missing something, a kind soul will explain

Supercharged Alternative to Apple’s Reminders App. This app just keeps getting better. The new 3-pane split view on iPad with powerful keyboard shortcut support makes this app even more useful! Making strategic use of tags, smart lists, and reminder lists, this application supercharges Apple's approach to task management. Because the application uses tags as an organizational tool, the app can be as powerful or as simple as needed. The developer is responsive and continues updating the app on a regular basis.

HIGH praise to GoodTask. I currently use GoodTask and Things, and they both serve specific purposes for me, but if I was on a deserted island, and could only choose one task manager, it would be good task, it has all the bells and whistles plus customizable for the expert. Keep up the good work on this program, please

$10 to edit settings??. I got this app to use as an Apple Watch complication. I loved that I could view 3 tasks at once on my watch face. When using the trial I was able to edit how the tasks would appear on my watch face. I just decided that it would suit me better to have the tasks display along with the times they are due, but I can’t even access my setting without paying $10. This app really has no use for me if I can’t edit features without paying money. I’ll be deleting and going back to a stock apple app.

Love it. And I’ve tried many other. Only critical suggestion is eliminate the date wheel. Takes too long and is difficult to scroll to where you want to be. Just put up a monthly calendar that you can easily advance and pick a date from.

Can't use!. App demands access to my reminders, which contains information I don't wish to share with them. In order to use this app, I'd have to write all this stuff down so I can delete it and then grant access, likely to find out that I don't even like the app and delete it. You should allow people a chance to get a feel for the app before you demand connections to their other apps. I don't know how it works or if I even want to keep/use it if I can't test drive it and I'm not deleting all my stuff to test drive, find I don't like it, then have to readd it all after deleting the app.

The best to-do and task management app. Like, everyone says that. We find what works for us, and praise it. But this WORKS. Reminders, especially in iOS 14, is great. But this takes Reminders to cosmic levels of productivity. You don’t have to learn some esoteric new system, which becomes its own form of procrastination. I love this app more than any other app on my phone and iPad, and I am NOT a productivity type A guy.

Highly customizable, but loses tasks. I love the customization! And while I planned to support it by paying, while testing it, I noticed that numerous times, I would check off one of my tasks and another would disappear as well. Same for deleting tasks. Not sure what’s up, but that’s a major problem for an app that has the single job of remembering things so I don’t have to.

Changed my life!. This app has helped me change my life. With it’s almost infinite variability I am able to track and review my goals, plans, daily and weekly checklists, and many other things in an organized way. It took a while to figure everything out, but I don’t think it would be possible to have an app this versatile without a learning curve.

Great App with Fantastic Customer Service. This app offers a ton of customizations, so if you need a powerful task management app, this is the one. Personally, customer service is as important to me as the product I purchased, and Good Task has that nailed. I had a functionality issue, and Kim from GT got back to me very quickly, appreciated my feedback, and helped me to quickly solve my problem. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks Kim!

Great App that fills avoid. I love this app. Reminders has improved remarkably over it’s last few iterations but still isn’t flexible enough to meet more than basic needs. This app has ended my search for a straightforward to do app that coordinates with Reminders beautifully. Luv this app.

👉14 days Free trail 🥴 & after $10 to use 😳👈. I was looking for an app to keep track of my to do list and share with family and friend so I downloaded this. The app looked great and something I can use daily. But unfortunately after downloading the app it says it’s a 14 day trail version 🥴 and after the 14 days it’s $10 😳. So I uninstalled it. This app is extremely expensive and it doesn’t do anything special that my calendar can do all ready. This app should be really free or at a maximum cost of $1.00. Anyone that pays more then that is a fool and throwing your money away. Sorry developer but your app is simply not worth the $10 price tag 💩 whether it’s a yearly charge or a one time charge.

Finally found the best To-Do app. Okay, I haven’t tried them all, but I’ve tried a few and this one does everything I could want. I’ve been using it for a long time now and was reluctant when there was no snooze function, but then they added it and much more. Once I got an Apple Watch I was completely sold and with the latest update, it’s the best!

So much better than Apple’s iOS Reminders. There is so much customization you can do with GoodTask to make it work the way you want it. Beautifully done and so much function. A great app you will use daily to manage all the things you need to get done.

Take the time to learn and never regret it. The app offers a lot for a true power user. If you’re willing to take the time to learn it, you’ll find this app has a lot of what you need to stay organized and relatively quick with it.

Dedicated developer, versatile design. Love.. The developer has been releasing updates consistently ever since I first bought this app years ago. The app has become so much more than a task app. Very powerful, very smart, and very user-oriented customization. I can not recommend this app enough for anyone looking for a to-do app for themselves. Developer is friendly and responsive to emails and the app is just pretty to look at and easy and intuitive in general too. It is so nice to see a developer who isn’t greedy and really contributes so much new features and improvements to old ones. Thanks, GoodTask!

Dev & Apple overselling capabilities. Apple has heavily promoted this app across both Mac and iOS app stores and I’m not sure why (although have an idea). The free versions cross-device to-do/task apps (MS To Do, Planny, Todoist, Things, etc.) can do far more than than the $30 you will spend on GoodTask ($10 iOS, $20 Mac OS). There is potential, however, when I can’t set a location based task (for somewhere other than my specific loc. at that time) something is fundamentally wrong.
