Good for recording, hard for listening. I use this app daily for language learning, and it works great for recording. However, for going back and trying to listen to what I've recorded, it's a real pain. Yes, you can create categories for your recordings, but you can't select a whole category to listen to. You have to individually select each track that you want to listen to. If the developers just added a way to "play all" in a category, that would make this app an absolute winner in recording AND listening.

What an amazing app!. I send voice menus frequently. So, I've bought quite a few (okay: too many) recording apps. Some of them are very good . . . well-designed, easy to use and feature-packed. Some are simple (just record and send). All deliver excellent audio quality. But this app has all of them beat . . . and by a large margin, in my opinion. There are so many options in terms of where you can send or save your recordings. And the settings offer so much flexibility. I recommend this app with absolutely no reservations. Enjoy!

Works great for music, too. This is a full-featured but simple-to-use recorder. It has so many options for saving, editing, adding notes, and sharing files. While there are many things to customize (eg recording format), the menu can be simplified to show only the items you commonly use. I use this for recording both voice and for music practice and accompaniment. This is one of my very favorite apps.

Absolutely a must-have for user interviews. I’ve used VRP full on an iPad Pro for doing very richly-detailed interviews of users for User Experience projects. The interface is immediately clear and understandable; it’s great to be able to shoot a basic “ID photo” of the subject to include in the file, and to take notes on the iPad keyboard which are also included in the file. I like the way the app includes various styles of VU meters (analog and digital), how it provides almost ANY method for moving the file around to services such as Dropbox or SoundCloud, and is easily customizable to include only the sharing options you need. The level-check feature is useful as you’re getting set up for an interview. Automatic time and date stamps are very helpful (although I wish it didn’t include the metadata in a separate file). In VRP, you have a very high-quality tool for data-gathering and creating clear recordings along with the critical supporting data required to keep all notes and identifying information together in one place. So much flexibility, and a crisp, clear interface. It’s my “workhorse” app for making a living. Highly recommended!!

Best recording app i know. This is the best recording app I've had on the iPhone and i've tried - and bought - a dozen. Nothing compares in terms of recording features, playback features and sharing features.

Can’t delete recording from watch. Can’t delete recording initiated from watch when not connected first to phone. When I’m using the app on the watch without the phone around (“stand alone mode”), I initiated/finished a recording and then decided to delete it. I select “remove from watch” but the app says “...transferring to device...”. I select “cancel and send manually” but app says “...transferring to device ... can’t remove”. The issue is fixed as soon the watch “sees” the phone. 4 starts because the app is still very good. Thx.

Simply the Best Audio Recorder. Now this is a 5 star app. Great addition of iCloud Drive. Please consider changing the name to Voice Record Pro, you can leave the "Full" off of the title.

Ghost. Great app to use when you are reviewing EVP’s after you get done investigating!

Better. The developer has addressed my concerns by explaining how it works. And the best part is that I got a response, therefore, I’m changing my rating to five stars. Thank you. My concerns were as follows: The app should have access to the Microphone only when using it. Please add that option or explain why that permission is not possible. Only then could I give it five stars because I believe it’s only fair. Thanks.

Excellent sound quality, but joining files doesn't work. Audio joiner error. Unable to create destination file.

Power Point of a Voice Recorder. This voice recording app is even better than the voice recorder included in iOS. I'm able to adjust the quality of my recordings and upload to every cloud storage account I own. Along with great sound quality, data back up is where it's at these days. This is why redundant back ups are needed of your precious recording data, and VRP Pro Full makes it easy and seamless to do so. I'm actually thinking about using my iPhone for podcast recording rather than my computer through my board and mic. This is how good this app is to me. Portability is vital these days, and this app may actually make it possible for me to travel and podcast easier

Perfect for beginners. Great app helped me get back into recording after not really doing anything musically for a few years

Loses recordings. Multiple times I have recorded meetings, the timer running and recording indicator on, and when I stop the recording session I will only have literally the first second saved. Very frustrating especially since I paid.

Terrific so far. I like this app. I find it has all the features I need to make high quality recordings, but presents those features in an easily understandable interface. Thanks for creating this app!

Need customer service HELP!!!!!. I went to upload recording from my watch, and my recording COMPLETELY disappeared! Paid $6.99 for an app that Completely lost my very important recording. I could not find a Voice Record Pro app customer contact information anywhere. I called apple, and they could not find contact information. I sent feedback, no response. This recording is so important and I am in desperate need of a customer service agent to help me retrieve my recording ASAP.

No stereo. Perfect except for no stereo recording..so I am using RecorderHQ which utilizes the stereo microphones on iPhone until this updates. All the new phones have stereo capability. Please update. Thank you.

Poor support. Have used for years, but now it stops when a call comes in. Can’t find a way to reach support.

Advanced editing does not work. Hi I am trying to use advanced editing ; but, the app does not let me to save the changed file.

This app is hands down amazing. It has everything you could want in a voice recording app: * live audio monitoring * live or post audio effects such as EQ or reverb * export to MANY different cloud solutions, including Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3, and even SoundCloud * the ability to select the input device (Front mic, back mic, external mic) * the ability to add and export meta data * the ability to import recordings easily from many sources * the ability to mix recordings with background audio Seriously, this app has it ALL. I could not live without this app.

Not useful for language/voice/memo. I needed a recording app that would let me change audio file formats so I got this app, and I wanted to be able to import and convert audio apps. Although it does both well, the process is awkward and unintuitive. I expect that for its primary intended use it is fine, but for my purposes it was a waste of $7. I suggest you download the free version and try it first (wish I had).

Will not Transfer files to iPhone. Can’t get the files from iwatch to transfer to iPhone, just frustrating you can’t find any instructions or support.

Gold. For a musician, singer/songwrier, etc, this app is extremely useful. I've been ising it for years and I always tell all my friends to get it.

Simply the best. Hands down.. I'm a composer and this app is my lifeline! I keep track and record my melodies on it daily. I've been following VR and all the versions since the beginning - and this latest one is simply amazing. I can't think of anything I want to do that the developer hasn't already thought of. It just keeps getting better. The interface is ridiculously intuitive yet extremely sophisticate. A great deal of love and thought was put into it. Even if they charged more it would be worth every penny. I simply can't recommend it enough.

Won’t record from a headset. For Input Source, the app will not let me choose my Bluetooth headset, which is connected and recognized by other applications. Using a headset to record is the reason I bought the app...

Still no SoundCloud!!!. Bought this one, in addition to old one, hoping Sound Cloud integration would work. No. It does not. Very disappointed.

Get the regular Voice Record. As far as I can tell, Voice Record Pro 7 Full has the exact same functionality as the original Voice Record except that it has a flat design compared to the pleasing look of the original. If you hate flat design like I do, stay with the original. I will be deleting the new version; just wasted the money. Designer should make clear the exact situation.

Can't Record 128k Mono. The recording you get doesn't match settings. Set it for 128k mono and you get 64k mono. Support is non-existent. Get the free version. Don't pay for this app.

Undisputed best recording app. Period.. Worth pro version (they call it Full version). I live on this app, for meetings, for note taking later on, for archiving important recorded conversations and phone calls.

So so. This is a great app. when it's working that is. Unfortunately it more often isn't then it is. Every time when I need a quick recording first it calibrates then it initializes. Except when it can't initialize then I get a message to recalibrate. And of course that doesn't work. So I think I just uninstall and get some reliable recorder. Update: Trying to fix this app I removed it and then I reinstalled it. Now it doesn't at all. Period. Down to one star.

Need help!. I bought this $6.99 app because the other one by them quit working, with no way to submit a request for assistance. After getting this paid app & trying it 5 times, my voice was so low on the test runs that the background of nothing was louder than my voice. I am not pleased so far.

A nearly perfect app in every way imaginable. This is an incredibly convenient and time saving application! Recording, meta-data automatically added, uploading direct to site or ftp instantly--every possible need has been taken into account and smoothly incorporated. Truly brilliant. My only additional request would be a function to incorporate a graphic link in the meta data. Thank you geniuses!

The Ultimate in Mobile Audio Recording. Been meaning to write this review for a while. This app is the best… there is no substitute. Whether you are a musician, field recorder hobbyist, or just a person with a lot of ideas this is the absolute best app for you to record audio. They thought of everything you need before you need it. The pro version is worth every penny. The development team on this one is superior to all other app development teams.

Recordings Cut Off. If I make a 10 second recording, then add effects to it, then “Save As A New Recording” that “New” file is anywhere from 7-9 seconds rather than the original 10 seconds. 1-3 seconds is cut off the end EVERY TIME. No special settings can account for this & support is non existent. I paid for Full Pro Version. Big mistake. Already looking for a better app.

Why not 5 stars. I've tried a number of recording apps. So far this is the best quality and user-friendly for me. Two things I'd like to see, and perhaps it already does them and I am unaware! To put subjects together, not have to have them all listed in their recording order. Also once I've listened to a recording I have to close the app & reopen it instead of going back and choosing another recording. Help with those please would be great. Thank you!

How I use it. I record learning tracks for my chorus and am able to rehearse the songs even when I’m not following on line.

Great app!. This app is great and really easy to figure out. I'm a professional musician so I like to record myself and listen back almost every day, and sometimes I have to send out recordings and this app makes that really easy. It has lots of options for how you want to record and tons of options for how you want to export it. I highly recommend it!

One of the best and somehow misses important features. It takes 3-4 clicks to backup the audio files. Why isn't there an auto upload to the cloud services we have configured to work with the app? Why would I or anyone else not want to use the cloud backups without digging into the cloud menu options we need to press to back up. The files should save locally and have an option to upload right away.

Just one more option. It would be wonderful if you would add Evernote to the import and export function in VRP seven pro. I really use Evernote a lot and Microsoft office 2013 and above has a special button to say to Evernote in the toolbar.

Easy to use recorder with excellent sound. This app has great features for recording that are very easy to use. I’m a songwriter and this is a very useful tool.

Pro Recorde. This app is one of the most professional ones that I've ever come across. With what this app is capable of doing, it would cost thousands of dollars to install one of equal capability and quality in a recording studio! I have gotten a gem from the pile of what appeared to be obsolete and unwanted programs.

Use free version. Got this to record .wav but there is no setting possible for that even though description says it can do .wav. Just M4v and MP3. Will try to return

Best App is the one you use.... UPDATE: after the great review, the app stops working. Figures. Can't sign in to cloud services, for those that I can sign on to, the app doesn't see any files to import. Will probably uninstall it. Support says to install the updated app. That's the one that doesn't work! Sorry to have wasted money for what seemed to be a promising app. ------------------------- I've purchased others, which work great, but his one is my favorite because of its ease of use, simple functionality, offload ability to cloud services, just the right features and not too busy. I especially like being able to photograph a speaker and add the photo to their speech. Sometimes I forget to do it. In this case for me, less is more.

Mr. The app does not record in MP3 format! It only has the options MP4 and WAV. The screenshot showing MP3 doesn't exist. I bought this app because I thought I would get what I paid for, I was wrong. Come on guys.... give us what we paid for.

Doesn’t get any better than this. I’m a bit blown away! An incredible depth and quality. Exceeded my expectations by a mile! Whether a watch note taker/transcriber to an iPad recorder/editor it’s got it all.

A failure. Recording on an iPhone this app simply at random keeps running but stops recording. Unless you’re watching the meter the whole time to catch it when it goes flat, you can lose precious recording and precious time. As is typical with apps, there’s no apparent way to send in a complaint.

Very good audio app. I really like this app. I use it to listen to MP3 files of conference calls for work which get shared on DropBox. If you're looking for suggestions for enhancing future versions, I would like the additional functionality of being able to apply Normalisation, equalisation, compression and noise reduction within the app.

Freezing. I have been using this app for several years and have found it an excellent product until recently. I use it every week however in the last couple of months the recording has frozen even though the red light continues flashing in the Notes window. This results in a 0Mb file size. Part way through the recording I noticed the graphic VU meters needles stopped. Some times during recording I closed the Notes window and later reopened the Notes window. It’s after this I noticed the recording had stopped.

Good everything ....but, just a suggestion....!!. Wow, we can even create our own movie templates! Just figured this out, so many functions to choose from! Everything is fine, just a suggestion please: if in ADVANCED EDIT we could cut and paste sections, it would be great. For example when editing speeches, we could cut some sections and replace with silence. Or music sections also to cut and paste. But even now, very good, thanks.

Little help. Great recording but almost no info on how to use it and set it up, and find it hard to compress files enough to email them. Can’t reach the company because on the feedback page the send button isn’t on!?!? Tutorials? Can’t find them. Frustrated!

Really great app😀. I use this function many times during the day. I listen to recorded meditations, or leleseminars. I can loop the recordings, which means I can listen to some of them (like healing audios) through the night. These possibilities make my IPhone indispensable. Thank you for providing this very much needed application and service to the World : )

Doesn't run. I just updated the "full" one and the app doesn't run at all. I'm sure it's just any easy to fix bug but please fix it or at least send me a message as to when it will be done. Perry

Very helpful.. Staring an audio book for blind ham radio students so this has proved very helpful so far. Only drawback I have not found where I can go back 30 secs to cut out the dig barking!

Very impressive, awesome.. If you are serious about quality and versatility , this app is for you. This is an incredible app with awesome controls. It even records lossless and connects any popular cloudservice including own FTP and even Amazon S3. This app even has sound monitoring. can detect if you plugin microphone into iPhone and will let you hear yourself in headphones (if you are using headset with mic) while recording. This app can also serve your recordings on your local Wifi or Webdav. you can literally play and interact with the files in your browser. ANd even upload sound from your computer to this app. I mean wow. 5 gold stars

Pending transfer to device. After making a recording on my watch, the “pending transfer” note is all I see. It no longer transfers to my phone after the most recent update. I am slowly running out of space on my watch for recordings. Great app otherwise.

Good 'cept on BT playback. Easy to use with good upload options, but frequently unable to playback through Bluetooth at home & in cars using iPhone 5S which has no connection problems with any other app.

Works great. All of the features such as being able to add a photograph to the recording the ease of uploading it to YouTube channels it's wonderful.

Nice but wish it .... (0) could accept MIDI triggers from something like an IK Multimedia iRig BlueBoard; (1) could turn to landscape mode; (2) could use the slider to more accurately move in time ... Maybe a double-tap to zoom-in to the timeline to more accurately navigate within a 30min or longer recording; (3) include buttons to replay the last 3/5/10/15/20/30/60 seconds. Otherwise, excellent and worthy of 5 stars if these changes were made.

REALLY GREAT APP!!!. This app is so great! I use this when I record for my YouTube videos. This app should have more great reviews. Like the guy says below, this is so easy to use but also so many great options for how to use it! One of the best parts is how many options there are for exporting the file! Well worth the money!

Need New ICON. Update 4/21: the new update crashed app at startup on both my phone and my wife's phone. We have valuable recording that's missing. Please fix this ASAP. Old: Fantastic app. Love the new design, but the icon needs to be changed. It looks awkward for some reason and not flat like iOS 7. Also make it so the app name on the home screen is spelled out. Hate the abbreviation. Or at least remove the 'Full'.

Can't open other VoicePro files. If you own an earlier version of this program, you cannot access its files. Unless you export them, one at a time, to Google Drive, and then import them, one at a time.

Updated 5/11/20 This app still remains the best and I still feel the same as when I wrote the below review. --------------------- I've been using this app extensively at least 2-3 times per week for over 5 years now. So I'm definitely qualified to write this honest review. As a professional musician I mostly use this app to record live performances both solo & with a full band. I also discovered that it works amazingly at helping me capture new song ideas. And using the notes feature to write down both the chords and lyric ideas As a heavy user of this app & also a huge fan. It's been a lot of fun trying to use every single feature offered which are a lot. All of this has helped me discover that this app is not only masterfully designed but it continues to get better at a very healthy rate. Without ever making any huge updates like the ones that end up ruining so many other apps. I can honestly say that it has never failed me and has always exceeded any and all my expectations. I truly look forward to using this incredible functional and reliable application. IMO this app is the definition of the perfect app.

Hands Down the BEST. This app has more precise editing functions, more pro options (like control over recording sampling rate, bit rate, codec, etc), WAY more sharing options (like GoogleDrive, Dropbox, iCloud Drive, and the extremely useful Facebook and YouTube share video engine), and a cleaner interface than any other voice recorder app I've ever used. You can re-organize your recordings by folder. Choose how to sort them. Rename them (title and file name-level control). PRECISELY edit them. You can **APPEND one recording to the end of another** (hugely useful). You can attach copious notes and/or even a photo to a recording (helpful if you're just trying to record thoughts or capture a feeling for later, very useful for writers). And lastly, you can lock the entire contents of the app with your device passcode or TouchID. If you're a writer, musician, or singer, I cannot overstate how great this app is or how easily it is worth the buy. It's not gonna be easy for anybody to beat this. I consider this app an invaluable tool. And lastly it's developer is involved and actively listens to user feedback, providing new features all the time. Stellar.

Used to be awesome. I use to love this app did exactly what I needed it to do but recently it stopped recording every time I record no matter what the setting ask me to recalibrate I do and no luck. If this can be fixed soon I'll change this 5 stars which is what it deserves when it works.

It was nice while it lasted!. Use to love this app. But now I have a new phone which is the iPhone 10 X max. I was using this app to record music from a microphone through a system to the phone app. Now I am in able to use it for my purpose because it requires special adapters to record. The adapters don’t seem to work with the app so I am un able to now use the product. I wish something could be done to make this more adaptable with a new phone.The sound of the recording is awful and I am not able to use the effect at all for some reason with my new phone.

Voice recording pro 7 full. This is the best app!!

Great App. Very good for recording lectures etc. One small issue is if you eg get a call in the middle of listening to a lecture it loses the position and starts from the beginning which is frustrating.

Will Not Work. I was using the free version and loved it so much that I decided to purchase the full one. BAD IDEA! The free version works seamlessly minus the ads. The paid version refuses to record. PLEASE FIX THIS DEVELOPERS. I guess it's back to the free one. (Weird)
