What happened??. I used to LOVE this app for its ability to improve pictures, but since the iOS 11.0.3 update, it will not access my photos. It tells me I have to go into settings, Microsoft Selfie, photos to grant permission for access, but there is no “photos” in the permission area. Please update and fix because this app is worthless to me as is.

Great but... Update: Love this app but .. when I try to add a pic it says to go to settings and allow to access photos. But then in iPhone settings for this app there’s no option for that. Only to access camera. All of this was after the update. Please fix!!

Can not access my photos. Worked beautifully before iOS 11. Now I keep getting a window to go to Settings➡️Microsoft Selfie➡️Photos to allow access. Unable to do that. Please fix. Have had this app for 2+years and love it!

Made me squeal for some reason. Upon seeing the 3 star review I was somewhat skeptical that it was going to be anything worth getting. However it IS Microsoft and they know what they're doing. Normally I think I look horrible in photos, especially selfies. But when I used the apps features and compared it to the original I actually squealed because it was actually REALLY GOOD. That's kinda weird cause I'm a guy but still it's a good app

Does not work. I downloaded it because a friend likes it but it never worked on my phone. Just says please allow access to your camera roll by going to settings however there is nothing in the settings to turn on... Waste of time

Bug fix needed for ios 11. It can’t access my photo album anymore and therefore can’t edit the photo. Keeps asking for me to go to settings/selfie/ photos and allow. But that’s not there. Worked great till I upgraded to 11

Fix it please!. Love this app but with the new OS update you can’t edit photos from the camera roll. Under settings, there’s no option to give it permission to access pictures, only to save them.

No longer works. Loved this app!! Then IOS made an update in September and completely stopped worked - can’t upload pictures as there is an error message and no way to fix in settings. Apparently the developers have given up on this app and have no reason to make an update.

Microsoft Strikes Again. I appreciate that Microsoft is really trying to develop a lot of apps for iOS. They have really upped their game with apps for Office 365, but they also have simple apps like this. I appreciate that this is a very simple selfie app. No bells and whistles. It just takes selfies and then tries to smooth out any minor skin issues. (If you need a full-functioned photo editor, go with something like Google's Snapseed. This is not it.) Keep up the good work, Microsoft!

iO11 Bug. Since the update to iOS11 this app can no longer successfully process the permissions to access photos from the camera roll. Like most people, I only edit photos with this app, I rarely take photos with it. Until this bug is fixed this app is unfortunately useless to me. Please fix, this was one of my favorite apps!

No good after ios 11.0 update. Have not been able to use it with camera roll pictures, error comes on to give permission to microsoft selfie in general/microsoft selfie/camera roll, even after giving permission is not allowing to browse camera roll pics, so I guess is goodbye to Mictosoft selfie,all good things always come to an end.

No longer works with iOS 11. I used to love this app but since updating my iPhone to iOS 11 I am no longer able to edit photos stored in my phone’s gallery. As others have said, this option is not even available to enable in settings, though the app prompts you to do so. Very disappointing and frustrating. Please fix this problem so I can give this app 5 stars!

I used to LOVE this app. For some reason the app no longer works properly on my iphone8 . Unless I take the picture from this app it won’t let me pick the photos on my album. It prompts me to go to my settings and give it permission... would love to if it was a feature on this app. *major side eye* IF there is a fix for this- would be interested in troubleshooting.

Loved the app, but I can’t use it anymore. I really liked the features the app offered, but now, after years of use, it suddenly tells me I need to give the app access to my photos when that is literally not an option in my settings. Please fix iOS 11 photo issue.. Before updating to iOS 11 Microsoft Selfie was my favorite photo editing app. I NEVER take a photo in the app, only use it to edit apps from my camera roll, but after updating to iOS 11 I can no longer access photos from my camera roll. It gives a pop-up “Go to Settings > Microsoft Selfie > Photos” to give app permission to access photos except there’s no photo option there! Only camera. So please Microsoft correct this issue so my review can go from two to five stars.

Please update !!. This is my go-to app for editing pics but like many of the other reviewers, I cannot edit existing pictures w. giving the app permission, but that is nowhere to be found.

Good app needs updates. This is a good app but should be consistently updated to keep in track with other apps in the iOS ecosystem with latest filters and effects. This also needs to be updates to use the iPhone X aspect ratio and usage of the full screen.

Read/write access disabled. Following upgrade to iOS 11, the app no longer has the necessary read/write access required to access photos from the camera roll. App functions only as a camera alternative at present. Still waiting for an update to address the issue.

Great Self-Picture Taking Application. I saw this app when I was browsing through the Microsoft apps and I thought that I would download it and offer my thoughts after using it for a little while. I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised with how easy, successful and interesting this app has proven to be. I think this is one of those must-have apps for anyone that frequently takes pictures of themselves or with other people. The simple, subtle and noticeable difference that the Microsoft selfie app offers in comparison to a normal selfie generated from the iOS default camera is astonishing. I would recommend this app to everyone. Well done, Microsoft.

Dont work. There is a problem with these app on IOS 11 tells me I have to go to settings and photos to access the photo gallery, but when I go to settings there is no such option! You need to put the option to access the gallery from the app! Since I can not access the gallery from Microsoft selfie

Doesn’t allow you to select a photo anymore. With the new update, it doesn’t allow you to select a photo anymore! And it’s too slow to use if you want to take a photo with the app... please fix it! This used to be my go-to app and now I am about to delete it! Please update soon!!!

Why does it mute my phone?. I adore this app for the smoothing effects, but it always mutes my phone when I use it, which is irritating.

Not working w/ iOS11. I loved this app until the new iOS11 was installed. It works when taking pics, but doesn’t when you “Select Photo”. When you select photo, you get a window stating that I have to give permission to access to my photo library in my settings. “Settings >Microsoft Selfie> Photos”. This setting doesn’t exist in iOS11!! Microsoft has to update this app in order to work.

The most usable and the best selfie app!. I gotta say this is one of the best experiences I’ve had with an app which I recommend to everyone! Easy, professional and efficient! Good job Microsoft👍🏻

Please fix this!. This used to be my favorite app for quick edits. Now I cannot open an existing photo in the app, there’s no option to give it permission in settings. Okay, fine, I snapped a few pics using the app and did the edits there. Saves to camera roll fine. BUT when I try to edit this pictures later in the photos app (specifically crop them), the photos app crashes! This only happens in photos taken with Microsoft Selfie.

It stopped working in iOS 11. It stopped working in iOS 11. It says: “Please give the permission to access your photo library in your "Settings > Microsoft Selfíe > Photos"!”

Easiest best photo enhancement app. This is by far the best photo enhancement app I have ever used. It is so much better than anything else I have ever seen in automatically and intelligently making your photos BETTER not just different that there really is nothing else out there that even comes close. When I see the lower reviews I realized that sometimes the reviews are just worthless. This isn’t a goofy Snapchat filter. It’s a serious digital portrait enhancement. Nothing else comes close. The only thing I have found to criticize is that the AI algorithm has trouble with tilted faces or faces turned too far in any one direction. Maybe some of the reviews are from people who didn’t know that? Because then the program just doesn’t do anything except affect the tint a little bit. Pick a picture where you are looking more directly at the camera and you will see the magic. Takes 10-20 years off perfectly and instantly.

Could the magic extend down to my neck?. I thought this still didn’t work (file selection from camera roll or other places), but figured out it was something disabled in restrictions in settings- photos couldn’t be accessed by other apps under privacy. I love 💕 what the editor is capable of! Looked as if I had an eye job & laser facial. Wish it would extend to the neck area? Thanks!!

One of my favorite camera app. Since upgrading to the 8 plus. I’m having a difficult time selecting pictures to change the filter. Can someone please help.

Needs to be updated. There is a bug in this version (2.2.0) that will not let you select a picture. It tells you to go authorize access to photos in settings/Microsoft selphie, but that is not an available option. Also I am not sure if this problem is a new problem, but I have taken photos in the app and selected to use the photo, but it did not save the photo. If this is how the app is designed, then I would recommend allowing you to take multiple pictures in the app and keeping them and allowing you to go back later to choose the edit options.

iOS 11 non functional. 5 stars because I love this app for editing existing pictures, but it hasn’t worked since I upgraded to ios11, please fix!

Love this!!. This is by far the best selfie app I’ve used. It just works. I don’t have to do a bunch of different things to make the photo look great. It just does! Live the ease of use and how my photos look. Only app I use anymore.

iPhone update struggles. I love this app and use it to quickly edit my photos; however, the app seems to be struggling with the new iPhone update. It tells me I need to give access to my photo library, but under settings that option isn’t even available for their app. Not to mention, I’m able to open my photo library in the app, it just won’t let me select a picture.

FIX THE ISO 11 Glitch. I’m an completely dumbfounded as to why it is taking so long to fix this glitch after so many reports. The edit doesn’t always work or happen when you take a pic with the app and now we can’t edit pic in our library because there is no way to give permissions ... I see ratings tanking and no response from the company

Devs are jokers. Hello, the app is great except after editing a photo , and tap “go back” , there home menu instead photo library, and need to scroll to the set of photos where you take the photo. It’s so annoying

Doesn’t Work With iOS11. I used to love this app. But since the iOS11 update, can’t give the app access to photos anymore. It says to enable access in Settings, but no such settings exist in new iOS update. I’m very disappointed. I realize this is probably Apple’s fault, and I’ve contacted them about it already (to no avail). But I wish Microsoft app developers would put a little pressure on Apple as well, or at least configure a way around this problem.

Like airbrushing in real time. Best app for photo finishing I’ve yet to find. Simple and straightforward. Works as well today as it did when I first found it years ago.

Why does the selfie shot stay reversed. Is there a reason why the pics taken in selfie mode stay reversed instead of correcting themselves like every other camera app? It become most obvious when wearing clothes with names or brand logo that appear backwards in this app.

Loved it until recent changes. I loved this app until recently. It currently won’t allow me to access my photos through the app; the option isn’t there in my Settings on iPhone.

Turns volume down. So far it works as advertised on my iPhone 8 Plus and I haven’t had any issues except one. I had iTunes running in the background and this app turned the volume all the way down. After closing the selfie app the volume stayed all the way down. I couldn’t figure it out and even restarted my phone. My music wasn’t playing and then I noticed the volume was minimized. I tested it and opened Selfie again and it did the same. It’s normal to attenuate or stop audio playback when camera apps are opened, but this is something that should be fixed

V2.2.0 doesn’t work on iOS 11. Doesn’t have permission to access your photos on iOS 11. You can take photos in it and then edit it, but if you want to edit existing photos... kinda useless. It’s an easy fix... so...just waiting for Microsoft to fix what was previously a great app.

Great app needs update or else useless now. Needs to support new version for the IPhone. Needs settings for photo privileges for the App. Right now you have to point and shoot with the app. It was working awesome until now.

Doesn't work. This has to be a joke. It doesn't even recognize it's taking a selfie in the dark. No screen flash or anything. Very primative. Why would someone with an iPhone use such horrible software? I only downloaded it out if curiosity and suspect that's why anyone else would. It's definitely not anything special. The photography settings and AI software in the iPhone camera app are much better!

Does nothing. all it really does is make photos look fake. used it once, hated it, and then deleted it.

It works. This app really help my face to look better. No blemishes. It looks very obvious I have used an app for my selfie tho. But still a nice app.

Average, concerning.. Results are very average. Skin looks like wax, facial stubble blurred. In typical new Microsoft fashion, personal data is collected, this is what the app is for and why it is free. If you want a good app for one fix photos? Check out Lucid by Perfectly Clear. I am not affiliated with them but they make photoshop plugins for image correction and the results are very impressive for a mobile app. Also it doesn't capture your personal info and send it to The Galactic Empire aka Microsoft.

It collects info for Microsoft purpose.... Nothing special and quality in this app... Any purpose for this app is to collect info from people for "personal Microsoft purpose and development..." That is my personal opinion because there is no reason for that info in this app... If you need info, than make something to attract people, something new, like DIRECT COLOR ACCENT, SOME FACE DETECTION SKINS LIKE IN SNAPCHAT... Etc...

Excellent app to beautify photos and just little improvement needed. This app makes beautify photos easy and looks quite real. Not like a lot of apps in the market that make photos look fake. The only improvement point is to no take photo the moment you select the option. Would be better if I get to decide when the shutter should kick in. Otherwise, excellent app that makes photos pop.

10 year old girl app. Some filters and basic smoothing on the face. That's it. Nothing revolutionary here. Every other editing app like snapseed or vsco does this better and does more. And what's with that icon? Do only 10 year old girls take selfies or something? No guy is going to want that icon on their phone.

Ummm... Has anyone noticed that this is Apple's store and Microsoft is one of Apple's competitors? A there a truce? Anyways, the icon looks like a TocaBoca app for kids and the photo editor is not as great as they show. And everytime I chose something in the Photo Editing Screen, it crashes.

Permission Issue. Keep getting the “Attention - Please give permission to access your photos” error and the settings doesn’t have an option for you to give permission to access photos!! So frustrating, I always use this app. 😤😤😤

Great camera app to complement and or replace the default camera app. All right so before switching to over to an iPod touch it was a hammy down device because my galaxy note 10+ what is unfortunately lost and with my job I was a social media manager and I did a lot of picture and video editing and the iPhone SE special edition had no storage space so I got the iPod Touch as a gift advice even though it’s old was able to support the Microsoft selfie app and I shared photos to my friends let them know this came from the iPod touch camera and they were amazed at the quality of photos that came out so I highly recommend this camera app and asking Microsoft if they’re ever going to do an update to the camera since been a while or is it just because I haven’t told her iPod touch that’s only on iOS 12

Useless. Bunch of filters only. It does nothing else. I can not flip my pic. So right side is on left and vice versa. A basic drawback of in-app selfies. No tools other than filters. Don't use it.

A Good App. This is helpful to me with iPhone SE selfie camera.

Crash. On iPhone 4s (iOS 9.3.5) app crashes every time try to save pic. Have tested every version of the app from ver 1 to the very latest 2.xx (Mar 2018). Same issue on all. (App wouldn't even open without crash at first, even after reboot phone. Had to delete/reinstall to get it to open.) Once open, looks as though app does a nice job on the photos (from appearance of the thumbnails in the app at least). Unfortunately no way to tell for sure as with the instant crash when select save, can't see the edited photo as it never gets saved to photos.

Great for Grandma. This ap has one feature. If you have an elderly relative who barely understands their smart phone it’s great. If you want to crop or do anything every other app does, don’t waste more time with this one.

App no longer works properly after installing iOS 11. Since installing iOS 11, it is no longer possible to tune images captured outside of the app (using the iOS native camera app, for example).

Update your application. Since iPhones are now on 11, your application is not allowed to access the iPhone's photos. Prior to 11, we used it a lot to edit photos. But no longer.

Doesn’t work with iOS 11. This used to be one of my favorite photo apps. I now get a pop-up every time I try to use it telling me that I need to grant access by going through “Settings > Microsoft Selfie > Photos”! It’s a useless app now as a result. Hopefully this issue is resolved soon.

Excellent. No other selfie app comes close. This automagically does the same thing that photographers do - hiding blemishes, evening skin tones, etc. one negative - it doesn't save full resolution images. That is disappointing.

I will pay $$ to fix the iOS 11 glitch!!. I’m guessing the developers are not making money on this app so they don’t care if it works with the iPhone update, but I’m willing to pay for an app that works.

No longer working. I loved this app but since the last iOS was released all I get when I select a photo is that I need to give permission to access my photos in settings. I’ve done this and even downloaded the app again and it’s still not working.

What happened??. Where did all the advanced selfie editing features go?? This was such a cool all in one selfie app with robust editing. Please port all the "Lumia Selfie" features back over from windows phone to make this the ultimate selfie app once more!

Bummer. Doesn’t work. Tried deleting Snd reinstalling but it selects a photo and then won’t open. Just boots me out, :-(

Cant use it for my photo library. It shows that i need to give permission from setting. But in my iphone 6s there no such thing: “settings> microsoft selfie> photos” Please help to resolve this problem.

No longer works with new iOS11 update. Please fix the update issue! You can no longer upload a photo or let the app access your photos on camera roll.

iOS 11 Broke it :(. This app no longer works on ios11. It says you have to give permission to your photos but when you go to the app settings in general settings there’s no place to give permission to photos.

Please fix!!. Loved this app. Until the last update. Permission is given to access photos. But it’s still not working.

Settings. I used to use this app a lot. But now it’s saying “grant Microsoft selfie access to your photos” and when I try to fix it in settings there is no setting for this.

Very easy to use. I like this app, it’s very easy to use. However, it’s not supported by iOS 11.

Crashes constantly…. Every time I try to select a photo, the app crashes. I tried to contact support and received an error message.

It won’t save. I am able to correct the selfies but it won’t save them any suggestions ??
