"It’s one of those rare photography apps that creates effects that few others are capable of, and it does it easily and with better results."
— Marty Yawnick, Life In LoFi

-----------------------

How many times have you tried to capture artful images with your iPhone camera but were left wishing you had more features to work with? Slow Shutter Cam puts an end to mere snapshots and gives you some of the most powerful features of a DSLR camera. All this, in a package that fits in your pocket.

Slow Shutter Cam offers three capture modes to capture unique images:

MOTION BLUR: Equivalent to the shutter priority mode on a DSLR, the Motion Blur mode is perfect for creating ghost images, waterfall effects or suggesting movement in your photographs by adding a blur.

LIGHT TRAIL: The Light Trail mode allows you to 'paint' with light, show car light trails and fireworks or capture any other moving light in a unique way. Unlike shooting with a DSLR and being tied to specific rigid settings to obtain good results, the Light Trail mode takes care of the essentials, letting your creativity soar!

LOW LIGHT: In low light conditions, this capture mode allows the camera to accumulate every photon of light hitting the sensor. The longer the shutter speed, the more light it will accumulate. You can even fine-tune the result using the exposure compensation slider to achieve the exact effect you want!

Highlights:

• Unlimited Shutter Speed and manual ISO
• Option to resume capture and create multiple exposure photos
• Real time live preview - See the result in real time
• Innovative 'Freeze' and ‘Blur Strength’ controls
• Tap to adjust focus/exposure
• Time-lapse Intervalometer
• Apple Watch support and handy Self-Timer
• Full resolution support on every devices

With Slow Shutter Cam on your iPhone you get the features of a DSLR camera with the convenience of a device that you can drop in your pocket and take with you wherever you go. Download it now and put an end to mere snapshots!

Super fun and easy to get into.. Just wanted to express the insane amount of fun I have had playing with this app. This app is so expressive and easy to use. Wish there was a way to post some of my pictures I have created. Thanks to the creators!

It does pretty good. I couldn't find another app that help take nighttime pictures. But you have to realize that the iPhone camera or really any mobile device camera is not optimal for capturing super long exposure starlight pictures.

So Far So Good.... Took some amazing photos of two mountain streams coming together into one-definitely use a camera stand or some other stabilization for your phone otherwise you will be deleting every photo if your trying any blurring... only 4 stars because I haven’t really used it more than once or any of the other options...once I have I will update my review! But so far so good! Cheers!🌸

My go to app for photographing waterfalls. I think this is the best slow shutter speed app out there. It does a great job at motion blur. I haven't tried the light trail or low light modes, but hope to try these this summer. Two additions that would make this a primo app would be a tiltmeter and the ability to shoot in RAW. Thanks

Works great!. Had an issue with the app connecting to my Apple Watch, but it was user error, phone was lying on the table instead of pointing at an object. Support for this app is awesome! Love this app too!

Nice tool. Could use a few tweaks.. Love the app and use it a Fair amount as I love motion blur and light trails. Here the thing though...I really wish I could take several shots, and go back and edit them later. I miss out on some good action because I have to shoot, edit, save, and clear the image before I can take a second shot. Solving that would be awesome. Maybe it’s something they could put on a future release. Or maybe that capability is there and I’m just too dumb to find it. Would also be cool if it didn’t think I wanted to compost every shot. Could you make a setting that clears the shot after saving or something?

Shutter Timer. I wish you would change that to allow more than 60 seconds before the bulb option. Up to 2 minutes would be nice

Amazing App!. I downloaded this while I was at the Vancouver lookout to take some photos with my iPhone. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the photos which came out! The light trails option was spectacular!!! Highly recommend it!!!

Great tool and fun too. The creators of the app obviously I’ve put a ton of energy into it and I enjoy time to exposures it’s a capability that this app excels in. So many useful settings. Give it a try!

Clean intuitive App. Love the app and the control it provides. Would be amazing to have integrated with the Fjorden grip to be able to cycle through and set options would make it perfect

By far my favorite. I have tried many long exposure apps from free to paid and this app offers the best settings and interface to me.

Review Slow Shutter App. It’s a decent app with quick shutter capabilities for nice sequence shots captures a broad effect of settings you can customize to your liking all in all I rate it a 5 even though it was a cheap purchase I was not let down.

Good but noisy night photos. Only used the Low Light capture mode. The controls are easy to use so I rarely needed to review the instructions. I like how the display shows the image live. Night photos are bright, showing stars fainter than the unaided eye can see. Photos show the brightest dark sky objects such as M31 even from the bright skies at home! Photos are noisy even with High Noise Reduction. Longer exposures are slightly less noisy. Use at least 8 sec to reduce noise; 30 sec has slightly less noise and no star trailing. I usually use the app when I put the iPhone in a Pocket Tripod, a plastic holder that folds up to fit in a wallet.

Amazing. Google “dunns river falls” I used this app for the first time at this place in Jamaica and the pictures you find are the pictures I was able to also take without my professional camera. Once you learn how the settings work you will be very surprised what your iPhone can do. This app is amazing!

Easy to use but pics are blurry. I got this for night time photography, but the iPhone11 camera seems to out perform every time. I haven’t found what this app is good for, but based on other reviews, I must be missing something.

THE ONLY WAY YO MAKE PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY A TRUE ART. Look, I did the photography thing. Manual camera. Developed my film. Etc, etc. Back then, there were no digital SLR’s. In fact, digital cameras were just point and shoot devices, a novel new thing to hook up to your powermac G4. Sure there was photoshop but digital art was still generally viewed warily by the art community at large. With manual cameras, you gotta painstakingly adjust every single thing, from the camera itself, to your own physical position, and take things you can’t control into consideration; ambient lighting, ugly backround objects, etc. In the end you can’t just edit the photo and erase this or that. My point? I CAN NOW USE MY PHONE AND TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AT NIGHT UTILIZING THE SAME SKILLS AS I DID WITH A MANUAL CAMERA. AND THEY ARE AMAZING. Thank you slow shutter devs. You have truly made an impact on my life.

The best camera app on appstore. Out of all camera apps I've tried in iPhone, this might be the best app that gives the most controls to the users. You can even shoot I'm bulb mode. I'm not sure if this actually controls the shutter speeds or it is just another illusion effect that it uses but the night pictures look great using this app. Totally worth the money. Five out of five.

Great intentional movement app. Works just the way I want. My only issue with the app is that it does NOT include a 2:3 ratio Aperture option. Why does no one offer a 2:3 option? 35mm cameras have been around forever, so why not 2:3????

Greatest for ICM. This is my favorite app for doing intensional camera movement. I like it for doing blur with single or double exposure. Since my DSLR cannot do multiple images, this is my go to for overlaying multiple images along with movement in my ICM photos.

plz add countdown time. Like native photo app, one may hit the shoot button and after two seconds the picture will be taken. This will help a lot in reducing the effect of movement of device when taking pictures!! Please!! It is really helpful for long exposure

An amazing creative tool. I’ve been using this app for years now — it’s my all-time favorite app (and I’m an app junkie). I never write reviews but this one deserves recognition - heck, I keep it on my tool bar. This app has loads of professional controls (I don’t profess to understand them all but they are a lot of fun to play with). It takes fantastic (and forgiving) selfies — set the self timer and intervalometer, stand in front and just be natural... talk, dance, be still, whatever. The creative possibilities of this app are endless.

Great app. I don’t really take videos so this is fine for me. It serves my purpose. It’s a great app, very simple and easy to work with. Developer response immediately when help is needed. Highly recommended.

Best for ICM and Light painting. Really pleased with this app. Like the way you see the results as they render, and the way you can pause, save interim file, and continue to layer effect. I have submitted several support questions and they have been responded to quickly. Only thing I would put on my wish list is the ability to save result as a RAW file.

Never Better. Not only is the APP just what it says it is, but the response times to my email query was nearly immediate. If every APP developer acted in this manner there’d be a lot more 5 star ratings. Best App for this purpose in my humble opinion.

I sure it will be great!. I was looking for a quick long expo. app to snap a few shots for the 4th and came across this app. I am totally unfamiliar with slow shutter so I am excited to learn what this app has to offer. Customer service is very concise and helpful. Great app. for a great price!

Be sure to buy the right app… This one!. There are two slow shutter apps. This one is the one you want to buy. I bought the other by mistake first. 👎🏻 So save yourself the hassle and buy the app from Cogitap Software.

Becoming a waste of money. Some of the features work but the long exposure feature is utter crap and the reason I bought the app. Every picture comes out completely destroyed from digital noise. The colors are whacked out and there’s horrific artifacting. I’ve tried changing every setting to try to isolate a cause but have found none. This is on a XS.

Best for long exposure shots. If you like to shoot at dusk , night with minimal lighting this is the app for you If you like to shoot waterfalls and get that silky look on the water this the app for you I have tried others and this is still the number 1

One big problem. With this new version if you’re m shooting tiff format the first exposure works fine. But when I shoot the next exposure the app crashes in the middle of the exposure this happens repeatedly. My only work around is to take my first shot, then quit the app , launch it again and repeat the process for every shot

Good app. Very good app just learning how to use it . I enjoy astrophotography and use it for that , open sky shots though I’m getting an adapter for my 8” Schmidt Cassegrain. Would love it if this app could have a hands free bulb type setting that could be activated remotely ( voice maybe?) Thanks

Intuitive and effective. This app only takes a few minutes to get comfortable and use to take great long exposure-style photos!

Incredible!. I’ve had this app for years. Almost forgot I still had it and noticed it’s been regularly updated for the entire time. Took it for a spin and blown away how great it is. Dang! This app has aged and improved like a fine wine! Thrilled to have rediscovered this bona fide gem!!!

Simple & powerful. Creativity doesn’t require complexity and complex to learn photographic tools. This is a deceptively simple, powerful tool for every photographers tool bag. I appreciate the apps automatic options which allow for advancing to the next image without having to hit, delete and slow down my workflow. This app adds a tremendously beneficial & Powerful, creative tool, which enables even beginner photographers to widen their creative repertoire without expensive lenses and complex post production techniques, time and efforts. The old adage that a (well curated) picture is worth so much more than 1000 words is true. For those interested in seeing the potential of this app I have a website showcasing what can be done with only a camera phone & this app. (WOW) No postproduction Photoshop just the phone & your tool that slows down time allowing pocket photographers to unleash their creative photographer within- with ease. Enjoy your new creative tool!

Just starting out. While I am a photographer, I really enjoy trying new technology. I’m having great fun with this and figuring it out as I go BUT file size has been very small. Just found out I can save as PNG or Tiff if I have room. Maybe that will solve the file size issue. I’ve gotten some nice shots I’d like to keep

Love this App!!!. Knowing that we’d only have about 6 hours of daylight on our trip to London I looked for an app to help me with photos taken in the dark. This app did not disappoint!!! I have some spectacular photos of London all lit up for Christmas and gorgeous shots of the London Eye, all from my phone!!!! Fabulous App!!!

Great for light trails. I really like the help this app gives me to get great street photos. I can control the density of light trails from auto traffic. The tools are simple and easy to use. It’s a great addition to a photography toolbox.

Worth every coin.. Depending on how hardcore, you as an artist, in the field of computer art of any kind, souls have this app. With just the little it has, the amount of abilities you can find in those is fascinating. I know I have created some pieces that I couldn’t creat any other way. This is probably that, diamond in the rough, one needs to have within their Arsenal! Thank you for the creation of this app. Highly recommended!!

So slow it's good. I’m really happy with this app has never glitched on me & I’ve used this app with a few different iPhones. Iphone 4S, 6, XR & 14. It has always performed as expected. I do wander why the exposure and focus lock reset after an intervalometer session is complete.

It’s good, but low light isn’t. (11pro max). First things first I am using the 11 pro max. I tried using this for low light and night sky photos both, and while the app itself isn’t too bad, it just doesn’t work right. The low light photos come out blurry, iso messes with the color of the environment if it’s too low, but if it’s too high then the photo is way to bright, and the noise reduction doesn’t seem to help. I understand real iso should be adjusted to the correct level but iso should also be as low as possible to reduce noise in the photo and not change colors. If this is remotely what you’re going for and have an iPhone 11 I wouldn’t even bother because the low light on these phones outplays this app with the quality it produces, even if it can’t get super bright.

Perfection. This app is absolutely perfect for capturing images while controlling the shutter. I’m sooooo looking forward to video mode soon. That will be a game changer and will spark so much creativity for me personally and I’m sure others. Robert said it should be coming soon, so I’m very excited!

Made a noisy camera useful. My iPad takes pictures that are too speckled with noise because its camera is a bit defective. With the motion blur feature of this app, the noise is reduced by about 95%. I can actually take still pictures now!

Thanks... for no help.. This app was supposed to help me take a picture in the dark... at night.... but I’m still getting blurry/grainy photos. I steadied myself, I tried HDR I messed with the shutter as well as anything else that was supposed to help, but I never got one good picture. All I wanted to do was take a picture of the Blood moon. I literally wanted only to take that one picture. And I’ve missed my opportunity now. -_- Although I will say this app has potential for other good photos... just with light.

I never write reviews. This is probably my first review on an app in 2-3 years. It’s just not something I do. But this application does exactly what it says it does. If you want double exposure, blurred motion, painting with light, or ultra low light pictures with up to 1 minute exposure this application does it. And instant favorite app!

Awesome. I’ve been trying a lot of apps.. but this one tops it off.. love how simple you can take photo,, and I recommend this app for those who want to take those good photo with out use or forgetting a dslr...

Good alternative for heavy dslr cameras. I haven’t rated this app since time I purchased it cause I haven’t been satisfied with footage made by shaking hands. Then I bought a lightweight selfie stick with tripod, and right after, I tested this app again. So it works just perfect now. Just don’t forget to keep your phone still and you get better pics.

This took great phone pictures in Asia!. Love this app. A few summers ago, I could either afford a fancy digital camera or a plane ticket to Taiwan from a neighboring country where I was working. I picked the latter, and armed myself with my iPhone 6 and this app. I got such amazing pictures! Love the slow shutter for water blur effects with a tripod, and how the night camera lights up my images. It remains one of my favorite trips, and this app helped me capture some of my favorite pictures.

My Go To App for Abstract Photography. For the past couple of years, I’ve been working with ICM - International Camera Movement/Abstract photography. SlowShutter is hands down the App to use. Actually gives better results than my so called real camera. It’s used by many members of the ICM photographers group.

Slow shutter. It is a wonderful full app, that does just what it is supposed to do: long exposures, light trails, etc.. It like all cameras, does work best with tripod of other methods of steadying the camera. You do have to practice to get it right.

Amazing!. It’s a great app for the price it’s at. If you want to make professional looking photos then this is the perfect app. The in app editor matches the apps quality, and it’s easy to navigate around.

I’m not quite sure how to use light mode. When I use light mode in a dark setting and set to around 30 seconds of shutter speed. The photo don’t any brighter than normal? Am I using it incorrectly? How to get the photo to brighten up like with the default camera app where a 10 second exposure time will give you a night shot?

Prefect. I couldn't ask for anything better. I don't believe the app is a normal one that actually changes the shutter speed as iPhones get over over exposed very quickly due to the wide aputure. In saying that, I can still do everything I need to do of which I would with a normal digital camera (motion blur, light trails, and low light shooting). The UI is great. An all round winner, I highly recommend, it's worth every cent.

Best camera control app out. Definitely the best camera control app available. Easy to use, heaps of features. Allows you to take some fantastic photographs.

Great app. Delivers as stated in description. It's too bad that people who obviously didn't know what the app was meant for (or probably thought it could give you images similar to an slr on a tripod) just deleted it and rated it 1 star. As you can see from the people who actually took the time to leave a comment that the app is rather good

Nice app. The app is good but I don’t see any update after i buy the app. The app need to improve low light to process a quality image

Great.. If u got a tripod. A great addition to my other camera apps needed to make my iPhone a camera with more 'bells & whistles' than a normal digital camera. Takes cool photos of waterfalls and night photos seem to have less noise. PS I bought a 'Hipstamatic' brand iPhone case so u can use a tripod. Works a treat!

Have to clear out every time 😕. Love playing around and sussing out all the features but now I've updated my phone and every time I use it, the only part that works is the main button to take pictures. To do any adjustments or adjusting I have to totally clear out of the app, remove it from background and reopen the app, then I can do my adjustments but as soon as I take a picture I have to close of and do it all again. Can you please try and fix this.

Fun and creative. I've had this app for a while now and I have to say I really enjoy the new features in v1.7. Been loving the Light Trail mode. Very stable app (I'm using a 3GS) and it has never ever crashed. Which is reassuring when you've just spent about 8 seconds trying to keep your camera still and you've finally captured that awesome shot. Like having a bit of post production control too. Is there room for further enhancements? Sure. But that's the point of updates isn't it. As it stands it's a fantastic camera app.

Best. This is the BEST slow shutter app ever. Low light mode is especially good. It's 99€. I mean. That so cheap. And it's so worth it. Once you buy it. You'll be satisfied. No matter what, it's a five star. Awesome app!!

My goto app for long exposure. Fantastic app. Easy to use and delivers great results. Best results with a tripod but still usable without if you have something solid to rest the phone on.

Fantastic. This is one of those apps that one rarely finds - it does what it claims and does it well. A tripod stand / stable surface is a MUST! I tried to take some shots without a tripod and they look horrible. With a tripod, however, they are magnificent. Highly recommended.

Useless. The long exposure pic are always blur(even with triod

One of the best camera apps. So easy to use. Unbelievable how clear and crisp the photos are. You can literally turn into a pro photographer with the touch of one button! This is a must for anyone who loves photography.

Love this app. As I shoot using a DSLR Canon I don’t always have it with me and the lenses and kit. But there are those moments when I see something and think ohh no. But I’ve had this awhile as still got my iPhone 6s + probably going to a 8s+ as the 10 is great but a nice camera inside and bigger drive is main thing and phone calls. But with little app which is bigger than you think. I’ve had some shots that would never been able to have if I didn’t have it. Best thing is they keep supporting the app which is a big thing as I only use mac Apple stuff. So new iOS and MacBook system soft ware. It’s important. But highly recommend it I’ve actually got to remember to see if it’s on my iPad as it goes with me a lot as well. Cheers.

Perfect. Love it

Pass.. Pass - not in a good way. Light metering is hopeless and results are useless. Waste of money - but you can’t try before you buy can you so the developer still gets my money. Boo.

Amazing. Amazing app. You can take photos better with this camera than the actual built in camera. It’s awesome, however, you will need to keep your device completely still for long exposure photos. If you bump it slightly, the photo will be ruined, especially with light trails. This does mean that you can’t do hand held photos, and unless you have a tripod for your iPhone, iPod, or iPad, then you’ll have to lean it on a rock or something.

So far so good. I'm no professional photographer nor do I care enough to own an expensive dslr and learn how to use at the moment, having fun with it! Can't wait to try it everywhere!

Greatapp. What a fantastic app, the only thing I want to see happen is up the resolution for ip4, but I'm already using this all the time so much fun. Thanks

Creativity at its best. Has a lot to offer so worth reading the instructions. Love the resultant impressionistic images. My go to app for creative images.

Thank you thank you thank you. This app finally exists! Feet. It works and u can save them properly in the photos app. My only qualm is that it does not support iPhone 5 size screen.

Photos are all blury. Every photo I take with it of waterfalls ends up out of focus or blury. Spectre app is much better than this app.

Latest Update = Total Superiority. it is now so much more powerful and capable than anything else on the market. (On a 4s, no less) the low light / long exposure can turn night into day like it were a good upper-mid range DSLR set to 16 or 3200 with the shutter open for two minutes. Noice..!

Slow shutter cam. Lots of fun using this app

Slow shutter. Very useful app. Makes the iPhone camera even more useful and allows much more creativity. Recommend it to anyone.

Very clever. I've got about 10 camera apps. Now that I read the instructions properly I can del about 6 apps as this app does so much more. The instructions refer to old titles so if confused by the titles read the update. Cheers

Wow!. This app is fantastic! I love having control over my shutter speed at last! It would be great if you could choose faster shutter speeds as well for FULL control, but this is still pretty good! Nice one!

This is the best app!!!!!. This app is exactly what I have been searching for and it is the best slow shutter camera app I have seen and I like it how it is so easy to use. I thing 1/2 sensitivity is the best function

It's ok. If you want an app that actually controls shutter speed, this is not your app. This only takes lots of pictures for as long as you set it to, then puts it into one picture. Picture quality isn't that good either. You can aim it at something bright for 30 seconds and the picture won't over-expose. Fake.

Very Useful. While it doesn't physically control the shutter speed of your camera, this app allows you to produce super clean low-light photos free of noise by taking many photos over a specified period of time and merging them evenly into one image. This also means any moving objects or people in your scene are virtually eliminated. A useful app, albeit somewhat misleading.

Fit a niche. Great addition to capture subtle lights or be creative. But buttons to Save and Clear are unnecessarily dimmed and hard to access when outdoor!

Utterly useless for night sky shots. Whilst this app might work for long exposure shots in good lighting (which I’ve not tried) it does not work for low light or night sky shots. Claiming that you can take star trail shots or night sky shots just produces terrible quality grainy images even when using a high quality tripod. I tried using it at Uluru and was bitterly disappointed. Just to be fair, other apps claiming to be capable of decent DSLR quality night shots fail too. The phone camera (an SE20 in my case) just isn’t up to the job. Don’t think that by using this app you’ll get decent results for this. You won’t.

One of my favourite Apps. I have actually exhibited artworks all over the world with images created with this app. I use the slow motion features for a completely different purpose than intended to create abstracts I love the simplicity & the fact it just works the way it should. I’m very thankful to the app makers & hope they can continue to develop & support the app long into the future

Features Plus!. It's just one awesome release after another! This baby is full of groovy features you would never think of! I'll probably only utilize half of them myself but all of them seem real handy dandy for depending on your gig! I've put a lot of apps in the trash but this one's a keeper for sure.

It works. I just tried it in a low-light situation and it worked a treat. Using the standard camera the pic was barely visible. Nice one.

Simply awesome!. Fantastic results and very easy to use.

Great like to see higher resolution. Any change to update the megapixel for modern iPhones? 12 mpx is low with the 14 and 15s

Good but iPhone 5 and iPod 5 support. It's a great app but it needs iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5 support and the timer until it takes the picture needs to have a standard photo setting

Does what it Says on the Can. Interesting and novel camera App. Should be fun to take some night scenes with the 25 second exposure. Works as stated. Will get 5 stars once it handles to full resolution of the 3GS camera.

Very useful app. I use this on my iPad 2. I use this to take clear photos free of horrible noise using my smart cover to keep it still. I also love the light trail mode. It's fun to use in the dark and draw things. Who says the iPad 2 can't take decent photos? Now I can!!!

Good product. It took me a while but I'm starting to appreciate the versatility of this app for taking interesting photos. It's not just for low light; works great for that though. I'm starting to use it to just bring a certain something to ordinary photos.

The real deal. This is the beast app for low light as it actually does let you adjust shutter speed and iso.

Addicted. Amazing app totally addicted I always use for waterfall shots love the quality of my images. A must have slow shutter app for everyone! 👌🏻

Low light mode is ridiculously good. Fantastic updates as usual. I can't begin to describe the clarity of still pictures you can take when using the low light mode with a 2sec capture time or more and a tripod/mount to stabilise your iPhone ... It is simply incomparable to the stock camera app or any other app that I've used. Granted it's not often you'd have the mount at hand and a completely still subject, but when you do, honestly I don't think there's an excuse not to capture pictures that way if you knew the difference in detail.

Pretty cool. As with all slow capture methods you have to keep the phone/camera very still. If you can do that, this baby does the rest really well!

Can shoot PNG format in the old iPhone 6!. As current “old” iPhone 6 user, I’m more than happy to find out this app CAN shoot lossless PNG format (of course including lossless TIFF as well). No complaint for rest the functionality. Post at 6th March 2018.

Perfect!!. Brilliant design and results. Extraordinarily impressive work by the creators. Very intuitive and huge fun to use. It certainly adds fantastic value to the iPhone. Love it.

Totally worth it. I've downloaded a few apps trying to find one where you can actually keep the shutter open as long as you like, and this app actually works well, all you need for star trails is on your phone which is pretty cool.

YES!!. Great app!! Easy to use and the long exposure functions are great. I've taken world-featured slow shutter shots of the ocean using this app. Very highly recommended and big props to the app developers!! :)

Bulb/light painting.. Hard to believe an app exists that can do what can be done with this. As easy an artists app as it is a low light situation app. Sure I haven't even exhausted/explored 1/10ths of its potential either. Fantastic. Yes it has BULB setting!

Fabulously easy. so easy to use

Useful!. Effects available to shoot with this app are incredible. One of the few really useful photo-widgets on the phone. The app is good enough to get its own photo mode in the standard Camera app!

Amazing. You can take the best photos with this

Amazing. An alternative night mode for devices that don’t support it natively while also a great tool to shoot long-exposure Timelapse

Waste. Would give it 0 stars if I could. What a waste, use night mode instead. Can I get my $3.29 back?

Night camera go-to. When the night is clear and I want to photograph the stars I set up my phone and use my Watch complication to take the photos so I’m not disturbing the focus. This is my go-to app for night shots but also for painting-like photographs of waterfalls and flowing waterways. Just change a few simple settings and let the app do its magic!

Really works in the dark!. I was looking for such an app to take better pics of Aurora Borealis w an iPhone. Got some good ones! Taking a street shot at night makes it look like daytime. Fun to play w this app. I use a tripod.

Night stalker. I’d be lost without this app!

Fantastic app. Love the option for blur effect on water and light

Great with the iPhone X. I've downloaded and paid for probably a dozen manual settings, long exposure camera apps and this is probably the one I'll stick with. I use it exclusively at night for the northern lights on my iPhone X and this app seems to provide the best quality images. The interface isn't perfect but it's a good quality app that does well with the iPhone X - not something any of the others seem to be able to do.

Great idea for low light photography. Finally and app that takes solves low light issues. This is great for boosting light in darker areas but not great for taking pictures in very dark areas. I recommend it for someone that want to take pictures in low light but not in darker areas pictures will become overexposed.

Great low light, noise free!. Update (iPhone 11 Pro): I just realized this app has an intervalometer, and used with long exposure means awesome nighttime TimeLapse not available in the native photo app. This is good for water as well, achieving smooth surface and not jittery water. Also I love how all options have an explanation as to why so you understand why a particular setting is not available or constrained in some way. Great work! Original rating (iPhone 6 Plus): This app is fantastic for long exposures! I was able to get some great indoor photos that came out super crisp and noise free, leagues above the stock app that does not stack the exposures so it's quite noisy. Light trails are a cinch too, all round recommend it highly! Great preview video, the Ferris wheel is a great idea, I’ll keep an eye out for moving objects like that!

Works great!. Very nice app. Extends useful light, and opens more night photo opportunities. Simple to use.

Works really well. This is my go to app for low light, you can achieve great motion blur or no-noise low light images. This is a must have for anybody who wants to get more out of their phone camera. 5 ⭐️

More than Awesome. Honestly, It made me laugh, It impressed me, It was fabulous!! Love it and will always keep it as my best App!

Really Good!!!. What a good app. Probably the best camera app I've seen in a long time. It's worth the $$

Amazing app!. The pictures we can take with this app are fantastic! Love it!

Almost perfect. Great app, however I wish the Intervalometer mode would compile a timelapse for you. I don't want a bunch of photos in my camera role that I gotta compile after. Also I don't think there is a manual focus feature. Developer please take these 2 points into consideration.

Tutorial MAYBE!!!!!. So a reasonably priced app but come on, no sort of introduction or tutorial to help you get shooting with a bit of confidence. I think I can figure most stuff out but I want to take advantage of the full functionality of the app. This is typical of apps with shortcomings and developers not looking at things from a layman’s perspective. Hopefully YouTube can help🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Great app. Been using it for a few years, no other apps beat this one on capturing during low light

Best App. For light trails and motion blur without losing details, this app is excellent. Consistent updates and great support makes for a great app.

Excellent service. Thank you Thank you Thank you! I now understand what is/was happening with this app when it is on bulb mode. It is exactly what I want/need to do the type of light painting I wish to work on. Your or quick and helpful replies to my many emails we're wonderful. Thank you again. This apps well deserves the 5 star rating I gave it

camera won’t stop lagging when in the dark. Bad for light drawing

Didn't work for me.. I tried different settings and it didn't turn out anything like the example in the app store. Very disappointed and wasted $0.99.

Great!!. It’s a really great app, I’m just finding it hard to find places to take long exposure low light.

Nifty!. I am a big fan of long exposures and this app is nice to have in my bag of iPhone photography tricks. Well done!

Probably best photo app. This app gives you the creativity and quality pictures. I love it!

Low light perf is ok. I bought this app to take pics in very low light and for that purpose, and considering the iPhone is not a DSLR, it works as advertised :)

WoW. Fantastic ,,, easy to use ..

Low light is unusable. The rest of the app is “fine” but would suggest the Moment Pro app instead for easier control with the same and more features The one thing that Moment doesn’t have is low light but the lowlight in this app is unusable. Actual colours go out the window making it either black and white, or worse it paints the entire picture a single vibrant color (usually green for me). It has made a light blue yellow and dark blue color into neon yellow and neon green. Any astrophotography I tried turned everything green. Contacted devs about this months ago and decided to try it again today, no fix.

Great app. Awesome. Highly recommended!

Said cost was $2.99 but charged $25??. Just purchased this, it was listed at under $3 but it went through at $25. How can I get my $ back? Too much to pay for an app I just wanted to try.

Great app!. I like everything about this app. Clever, easy to use, great picture quality.

Get it. Use it. Love it.. Easy to use and works great. A fantastic app to have.

In a way this app teaches you photography. Just by moving the gauges you can see how the changes of speed etc change your photo results. Good for beginners to Pro. Almost leave your Canon or Nikon behind

Brilliant. Excellent App ! Easy to use, fun and worth the money. Quickest five star rating of 2023

Cool app. It does what it claims. No issues no freezes or crashes.

Garbage. Absolute Garbage and a waste of money.

Beautiful pictures. Experimenting with the settings I found the pictures I take come out beautiful now, soft, natural and much richer. Able to take low noise, nice pictures in the darkest scenes.

Superb. A must-have app for doing slow photo work.

Awesome. This is an awesome app, I love the way you can adjust the shutter speeds and it looks as good as a real camera

Fills a gap. Definitely deserving of a spot in my camera bag. But the applications are pretty specific. Produces some very grainy shots. But the occasional gem. Not bad at all considering there isn't much else out there that does what this app does.

Not what i expected. Do not like the multiple image layering.

Not a real slow shutter. This is not a real long exposure shutter, it simply blurs your image. Really disappointing.

Great. The app is great. Light trails is amazing. Motion blur and low light though seem to be odd. In motion blur, I can get s good shot of something that’s in constant motion like a water flow. But it doesn’t work with clouds that moves constantly but very slow. I tried putting the setting in high motion blur, shutter bulb and left it for 5min, and ISO2500. It didn’t show any blur in the clouds even the clouds moved. In low light, ISO seems to be other way around. Lower ISO gets more light compared to higher ISO where in a camera, it’s the other way around. And i tried shooting the same subject using low light with ISO32 and ISO1600 with same shutter length, and the results didn’t differ much. With this, I assume capturing the stars would be impossible which is one of the reasons I purchased this app. If you could give me a good advise, please do so. I’ll really appreciate it. Thank you

Not working with iPhone 6plus back camera. I used this app with iPhone 4s and 5s worked really good. But with my iPhone 6plus its quality is really bad. I even used tripod. Would love to have update

slow shutter for serious work. one of the best camera apps in this special category, with intuitive controls and unexpected refinements [not found in lesser apps] such as professional output formats [tiff, heif!] variant workflows [so you are not stuck with just one that someone decided would be best for you] and ability to vary shutter speed, blur and iso for fine control over the look of motion abstractions. one wish for future: a mode that offers multi-exposure like image blend [multiply, subtract, screen, etc] controls....

Great app. Thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻 after you took a picture by this app, it looks like a pro. Just keep this updated. Good job guys! Great app👍🏻

Overcharged!. I was overcharged $23.26 for this app. Do not buy it.

Best long exposure app. This is the best for any form of long exposure - whether by tripod or handheld with ICM effect.

Awesome app.. The beauty of this app is that it does perfectly what it claims to do. Once the effects are applied, great photos can be obtained. AAA app.

Awesome app. Truly enjoy the app. Gives so much power of creating unusual and inspiring images. Thank you!

An effective tool. It is easy to use and gives very good results. I have tried other long exposure apps and this is the best. Five stars. ★★★★★

Great app. This is a great, easy to use and very user friendly app

It doesn’t work for picture moon.. I am so upset that this app doesn’t work for picture moon. It wasted my early morning time about 2hours. I did google the instructions how to use it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work anyhow.

Works exactly as advertised. This is a very good app and works exactly as advertised. Get creative and have fun.

Slow shutter fast learning. This is a wonderful app that is intuitive and easy to use. The low learning curve will get you shooting slow shutter imagery fast.

Hidden powers. This has a LOT of hidden info and powers I did not appreciate at first. Be sure to read the Instructions, lower left bitton screen!

Awesome app for the iPhoneX. It’s one of the best for you camera phone. I really using it to capture moving cars as it create a nice light trails. Very easy to use app with almost 0 clearing curve.

Slow Camera. I love this app for creative purposes. Unique and a real asset-worth buying improves creativity-a tool . I love it.

M my. A great hand full of possible effects

Solid app at 4 Stars after downloading. Just did a few test captures and have to say this app is a solid 4 stars. The UI is very intuitive and easy to maneuver around. Will update the star rating once have used outside for both daytime and night time photos. Stay tuned! Very glad I found this app easier to understand than ProCam and ProCamera for taking low light level photos!

It works!. Works well on my iPhone X. Probably works better with iPhone 13/15, as their cameras are much better.

Altogether pretty solid. I though the app did fine in daylight, but when shooting inside the app can get noisy and gritty.

Wow. Lets me take long exposure shots. My 400 dollar digital camera doesn't' let me do that.

Just found you. Can’t wait to try you out. I have a Photoshop club assignment on motion and this App looks like the ticket for learning motion. I am excited to start learning.

Best slow shutter app!. This app is very easy to use. It’s layout is really simple and the results don’t disappoint

Good for astrophotography on the cheap.. I use this app for astrophotography, since I don’t have the money for a real astrophotography camera yet.

Brilliant tool for experimenting in time. Time lapse with long exposure, ICM (intentional camera movement) and straightforward long exposure photography is possible. Excellent application of frame integration on the temporal dimension.

Please add voice control!!!. Voice control would make this app better and much more useful. Love the app but it needs this!

One of my go to iphonography apps. Take a little time to learn how to use it. You can create some great effects.

Working again!. Working smoothly right now!

Amazing!. For a free app this has really changed my iphotography. Long exposure and low light make unphotographable events now possible! 10/10

Motion Looks Beautiful. This app works as advertised and gives your photos a ghostly, 19th century quality. People move with blurs and motion isn’t so much “captured” as it is “allowed to breathe.” A unique and lovely photo app.

works great. Has features that you can’t get anywhere else

Intuitive and effective. This app only takes a few minutes to get comfortable and use to take great long exposure-style photos!

I can't believe I didn't get this ages ago!!!. What a wonderful photography app! You don't even need a tripod!

Cool features, horrible quality.. Initially, I was impressed with the features the app provided. However, after purchasing it and using the long exposure at a waterfall, the quality was awful. You can barely tell what the subject of the photo was.

Great, simple app. I’ve tried multiple slow shutter speed apps and this one is the easiest to use. Plus the results are great!

Find the instructions. I thought this app was a scam until I found the instructions and how to change shutter modes.

Low light. One the few apps that provides low light capability with less recent iPhones

So Cool. I always wanted to take pics of rivers and streams with that whispy water effect. I’m no Ansel so this works great for the price.

Wow. Never thought this would be a reality. Much needed camera app

Super tool!. This app gives me an endless stream of interesting images. There is much to learn about the various settings, but fir me, light trails are often stunning. Great fun.

Great app!. I love how much I do with this app! I do a lot of astrophotography, and this app does it’s suppose to do. The only downside is that the images are very grainy, even when I lower the ISO. Otherwise, this is the best app I’ve found so far.

I dig it. The only one thing I’m not happy about is that the size of the files are so small. Is there ever gonna be an update for that? ThAnks.

Fun App. Slow Shutter is a fun app that allows endless experimentation and at times results in great abstract photos.

Top App. Wonderful control over exposure and light effects. Love it.

Slow shutter cam. This app mimics the slow shutter waterfall effect very nicely. I’m pleased!

So good competitors recommend it.. No other slow shutter cam comes close. Responsive developer too.

Just what I need. I have used this app for years know and pretty happy with what it can do

Does what I wanted. Great control over exposure, many shutter options, presets work great. Use on my iPhone XS

Confused.. A bunch of great reviews, read the tips including the how-to dozens of time, use a tripod, adjust settings accordingly and...STILL haven’t been able to take a decent photo. Feeling a bit bemused and let down. Just tried to send a message from your site and it doesn’t work. Your instructions ARENT instructions, just descriptions of what the app is supposedly capable of. Explain to me HOW to actually use it!!!

Nice app. Nice, clean app. More control over the camera than the Apple camera.

Awesome!. You can spend hours experimenting.

Instructions ?. Are there any detailed instructions, hints, or advice for using the slow shutter in th BULB settings?

Does everything. *****

Better than nothing. The results from this app were truly disappointing. Images are a little better than the stock camera app, but still dark and grainy. Even with a tripod, the images are poor. A regrettable purchase.

The Airbrusher. The more you play around with this the better it gets !

It’s worth your time.. Amazing photography and amazing minds that create wonderful memorable photos.
