Lucky the cakes are good. The app is a hassle. My old account doesn’t work. Fair enough. My email doesn’t have an account attached to it so “forgot password” doesn’t work. Fair enough. Trying to create a new account doesn’t work because some piece of information I entered is already attached to an account. I assume this is my phone number, because in the store they ask for your phone number when you make a purchase. But “forgot password” doesn’t work with a phone number, only an email. I have to proceed as a guest. Then at check out the app doesn’t take Apple Pay and can’t access the card my phone has stored.
Don’t believe the app. We can only have the dairy free chocolate ice cream. We placed our order online and went to pick it up, only to have the worker say they don’t have that ice cream, even though the app said our order was ready for pick up. We asked for a refund, to which we were told she couldn’t do that and we had to do it online. We tried, but we couldn’t cancel the order bc it already was ready for pick up. Not sure why the app lets you order things that the store does not have. As of now, we are out $24 bc nobody knows how to refund. Absolutely ridiculous.
App functions need better testing. I’d love to be able to use this app to order, but some signature creations force you to add a waffle cone or bowl for additional money instead of the regular paper bowl. So we end up having to order in store because we don’t want to upgrade the bowl. Navigation is easy but the app needs some work to actually be usable. Submitted this in a contact form months ago and it hasn’t been fixed.
Use the wallet APIs (and make the app actually work). Why would you go through so much effort making a beautiful app…and then drop the ball when it comes to entering payment information? Why can’t you use the wallet APIs to give is the option of using payment information stored on our iPhone? It seems like a glaring omission. You missed an opportunity for me to place an order. I could go buy it in person but it is a gamble because I don’t know if you’ll have the cakes I want in stock. My $54 order just became…..”meh. maybe”. How often do you think this happens? You’re leaving a lot of money on the table. Update…I decided to place the order anyway because I love the ice cream. But your app got stuck after I hit the “pay” button. I’ve been staring at an ice cream cone animation for 10 minutes now. Great coding.
App gets stuck on payment screen. Over the past few weeks I have tried ordering their ice cream through the app but every time I get to the payment screen and try to submit my payment for the delivery it gets stuck on the payment screen with the loading symbol. This has happened every time I try and order on the app. I have closed the app and reopened it multiple times to see if that would fix it but it doesn’t. I tried entering in my card information and paying with Apple Pay but still nothing. I do love Coldstone, it’s my favorite place to go get ice cream at but I wish the app was working so that way I won’t have to drive there every time or try somewhere else. Please fix this problem!
Terrible app. This app needs work. It won’t accept my card (it is a card that is accepted) and apparently gift cards don’t work in combination with Apple Pay so how am I supposed to pay the remaining? It defaults to pick up every time. there’s not an easy way to change it because if you need to it deletes the entire order and you have to redo it because your “changing the location”. The whole this is honestly just frustrating and minus the fact it is cheeper through the app you might as well just use DoorDash as it’s a million times easier
Bad for Delivery. App is awful for ordering delivery. Claims one location does not have delivery options, but it does through DoorDash and GrubHub. Does not save address no matter how many times you tell the app to save it. Always defaults to pick up. Availability of sizes inconsistent. Could order large home sizes until recently. The app will only sometimes tell you that these aren’t available for delivery when you’re trying to check out, but usually it just returns you to the checkout page. Additionally, which add ons and sizes are offered differ by location? For no discernible reason. And prices for these additional add ins change by about 40-50 cents between two locations; the more expensive add ons at the closer location. That’s not really an app problem but it is weird. I wanted to use this app for the rewards but it’s honestly easier to get what I want with DoorDash.
Didn’t get what I paid for. The cake I ordered was to have writing on it for my daughters birthday. It was not done. I asked the ppl working if they could write on it for me. They fumbled around with it for about 5-10 minutes and then told me the writing tip was broken they couldn’t write on it. I have no confidence I even got the cake I asked for. It looks like they gave me a smaller cake than what I ordered. The guy was clueless my cake is probably still sitting in the freezer. Horrible customer service.
Love the ice cream hate the app. Every time I try to order from this place, it gives me a random error saying that my credit card isn’t supported which is a Visa then it’ll say sorry. There’s an error occurred then if I try to order two of the same ice cream it’ll say sorry no NULL I have no idea what’s going on with this app but if you use it take your time make sure everything you put in there is correct and check and make sure before you submit I thought I ordered and it went through and then tried to do it twice so that’s why is my rating is so low.
Too Many Requests Error when Trying to Login. I’m not happy with how this app is set up. I was logged out unexpectedly, but when I try to log back in, the error kept saying Too Many Requests. The only option is for me to push okay. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but now it’s giving me a Connection Issue error! Fix this now please!!!! Do not download this app!!! Just create an account on the desktop site! Avoid this app at all costs to avoid error related frustrations!!!!

Could be Perfect. The app itself is good. It is really just missing two things: ability to search for items on the menu; and having the ability to reorder from previous instead of having to recreate every time. Response to dev: yes you can view your previous order…but you can’t add it to cart again. I can tap on it all day and does absolutely nothing…and yes it’s in stock because I have to recreate the order. And I’m not doing anything crazy, just a share size of a signature creation with zero customizations.
Disappointed Customer Service. Employee automatically told me “door dash orders are backed up” and when I tried to tell her that I am not door dash I ordered and paid already, she dismissed me and said I had to wait. I Ordered online for pick up and had to wait past estimated pick up time. Didn’t receive my order until 35 mins after estimated pick up time. 5 people walked in after me and also had to wait for their online orders while every walk in customer was helped asap. Employee swamped with filling walk in customers’ order and didn’t start preparing my online order 25 mins after it was supposed to be picked up. I wanted to get a refund but they already charged me online and I couldn’t get the employee to assist me, so I waited patiently. By the time they prepared my order they got it wrong. Should I not pre order online? Should I just walk in and order because they completed at least 5 walk in orders before even starting mine. I ordered a banana caramel crunch with cookie dough bites and got Vanilla ice cream with 3 frozen banana clumps, that’s it. No caramel no cookie dough, definitely not worth the money I spent. Plus it came in a smaller contAiner than the one I originally ordered. I ordered a quart size so I was extremely disappointed. I get it might be busy but at least be polite about it and explain what’s going not waiting forever and watching 2 employees not even acknowledge you standing there for over 30 mins.
SLF. The app works great but I feel they need more people working behind the counter. The order completed time it was still not done but I can see why. I arrived to store and place was packed with people and after being 10 mins after time waited I had to wait an additional 10-15 mins. This isn’t the employees fault cause I could see they were busy. But recommendations, don’t allow order on line if you don’t have the staff to complete the order on time.
App leaves out flavors when trying to select more than one. The app has a fundamental problem in that it uses a different list of flavors when ordering one flavor as opposed to ordering two. If you order one flavor, the full list is available but if you select two flavors, the list becomes shorter and certain flavors are left out. Example: try to order cotton candy as part of a 2 flavor creation in Scarsdale or White Plains. You can’t. It disappears. Instead, the developer should use the same list and ask people to choose up to two flavors as a single step.
Does not make it easy. The app should make it easy for repeat customers to get their usual order delivered—but it doesn’t. When logged in, with delivery selected, you must enter the delivery address every time. Even when you check “save address”, it doesn’t save. Next you select your store and click “delivery”. If you then go to previous orders and hit “re-order”, it resets your order to pickup not delivery. So you then re-select “delivery” and it resets your order and removes the items from your reorder. So delivery orders must be entered from scratch every time. Gift cards only work if the amount on the card exceeds the amount of your order including tip. It won’t credit the remaining balance of the gift card and charge the rest to a cc. These problems have been present for years and numerous “bug fix” updates haven’t fixed it. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling (and I have the most current version of iOS) and that doesn’t fix it either. Just a very poorly designed and buggy app.
Glitch/bad UI prevents order with app. But the ice cream is good.. I love Cold Stone’s ice cream. This 2 star rating is reflective of only their app, not the store or food. However, if the main point of a Cold Stone app is to make online orders easier then this app fails to achieve it’s main goal. I am unable to made an order via the app because when I go to pay for the order by filling out my credit card info it gives me the error “invalid last name” and prevents me from ordering. This is rather confusing, because there is no visible “name” text field for me to enter a last name. I assume this is a glitch, but it is preventing me from ordering ice cream which is the point of the app. Also, the text on certain buttons is like 1 point font. The rest of the app is quite nice though.
Amazing Customer Service!. Time and time again I am sooo happy with the customer service I receive at Coldstone! Whether that’s coming into the store or ordering DoorDash! Sarah surprises me over and over again with her top notch customer service! If you are looking for a good ice cream spot look no further! Top notch customer service! Try the peanut butter cup perfection! It’s amazing!! Thank you girls!!!!
couple small things. The app itself works great. No major problems here honestly. It doesn’t let me use Apple Pay with my card, but it will allow me to have the same card number entered and that works for some reason. (But that could honestly be something wrong with my bank account or settings idk) The main thing I wanted to address is what happens when you order from a store that’s closed. I didn’t know that the location I was ordering from was closed for remodeling, and I placed an order and now it’s stuck in limbo… I can’t cancel it on my end with calling the store, but there’s no one in there to take my call or make my order (granted, I should’ve known beforehand that the store was closed, I could’ve just looked it up). Only problem is that it still charged me. So the two ideas I have are either: Allow for orders to be canceled in the app itself (which might be too unrealistic/problematic for the staff) OR Make it impossible to order from a location that’s closed. (And maybe it’s SUPPOSED to be impossible, and I just managed to hack the system?? No idea) I want to make it clear that this is the only issue I’ve ever had with the app or cold stone in general, so I’m not really mad; just confused as to what happens to my order now.
Issues with service. Ordered 7 ice creams from the app for delivery. Only 5 came. Called cold stone, told me to call door dash, called door dash told me it’s a cold stone app but they handle deliveries cause he couldn’t see the order in its entirety. Then he found it and verified and hung up and had to recall again. Done with both cold stone as this is the second time they have forgot my order. Dashers need to verify the store is handing them everything. I actually felt bad at first when the tip was auto done through cold stone and I usually give more but now I am glad I didn’t.
Finally fixed payment issue. Every time I tried to order ahead I’d get a payment failed message, after several app updates, I can finally order ahead without the payment failing. I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4. When I went to pick up my order, it wasn’t done yet, instead of finishing my order placed 25 minutes earlier, they first helped 2 people in line that came in after I did. Not sure how that works?
Horribly designed app. This app looks like it was designed by an elementary school student. Every time we order I select to save my address for future orders. IT NEVER saves. Everytime we pay with gift cards and have a $0 balance it refuses to let us complete the order because the order can’t be $0.00 I have to add a credit card as payment on top of the gift card, then it will let me submit the order and then throws an error. Also I can’t ever re-order because it won’t utilize my address from the previous delivery and then defaults to store pickup such a migraine of an application. Needs to be reworked from the ground up. And also needs Apple Pay as an option.
Wasted 30 minute walk. I ordered my daughter ice cream online 45 minutes ahead of time so I could walk there and pick it up when I was finished doing laundry. I got a notification saying that it was ready to be picked up. Walked over there and when I got there, they said that my order had been canceled because they were closing. She said let me go check with somebody else because I showed her that on my app it said it was completed. Mind you they’re taking orders from people in line, she came back and told me that Yes, it was canceled but my money will be refunded. It was 745 and online it says they do not close until 10 PM .
Service.. The ice cream is great, the only thing I don’t like is the way one of the guy prepare my ice cream because he doesn’t break the health candy and doesn’t mix the ice cream enough. My luck, the last five times I have been there he is the one getting my ice cream ready and is not just my it’s my family’s too, every time I go we buy five and sometimes seven ice cream. Usually when I go I watch all the others preparing ice cream and they mixed them good so I think he’s the oldest one there so I guess he got comfortable or lazy.
Buggy. This app is pretty hit and miss. Especially if you have to change your password. I changed my password, went to log in with new password that was approved, and the app told me it didn’t have enough characters. Went back through the process again, set the same password, and it took it the second time. So odd. It also said it wouldn’t take the card for payment from my Apple Pay wallet. So I manually entered that same card, and it took it.
Disconnect between the app and store. There’s a disconnect between the app and the store in terms of what the store has and doesn’t have. I ordered a ice cream in a dipped waffle bowl through the app and the store didn’t have any. I waited in an the store that wasn’t busy until my order was completed. Failing to inform me they didn’t have this item, They bagged my order and handed it to me. As I was heading out the door I over heard an employee ask the manager if she informed me about my waffle bowl and the managers response was “he’ll figure it out.” I checked the bag whenever I got outside to see my ice cream is in an enclosed cup with a regular waffle bowl freely sitting inside a Love It cup in the bag. I went back inside the store and the manager said “we’re out of dipped bowls and didn’t have time to make any.” I informed her that I paid extra for the dipped bowl and she rudely responded by saying “you can just refund it online.” I was not provided with instruction on how I’m supposed to go about refunding this order. This is my first time ever using the app and it’s a terrible experience. I love Cold Stone as I frequent the store regularly but I’m very displeased with this entire encounter and don’t know if I will ever go back.
Allows store to commit fraud on customers. If the store can’t fulfill the order it still allows you to order and the store to fraudulently label the order as picked up hours after it is placed. The phone number to contact the store is also a nonworking number. If the app were set up to not allow you to order online at a store that cannot fulfill the order then it would not allow the store to commit this fraud.
Disappointing and Outdated App Experience. The Cold Stone app feels like it’s stuck in the early days of the internet. It’s incredibly slow, glitchy, and clearly not updated to meet modern app standards. Logging in is a nightmare—it constantly resets, forcing you to re-enter your credentials every time. Even when you do manage to log in, selecting items is frustrating, with poor navigation and an overall clunky design. The entire experience is outdated and inefficient. Cold Stone really needs to invest in updating this app because right now, it’s more frustrating than convenient.
What Happened?. Used to be great to order in advance. In the last few months the options for marshmallows and sprinkled waffle cone have disappeared. I was hoping it was a glitch that would be fixed but it’s been a while and a couple updates now with no fix. Had to stop using the app to pre order. Super annoying. UPDATE: Coming up on a year with no fix and no acknowledgment. App has been unusable for me. Super disappointing, especially since this seems like a very easy fix.
App not very compatible with voiceover. They have a great rewards program however the app is not very compatible with voiceover for example, several buttons when ordering are not identified by voice and some that are such as the cancel or submit button just say how does it work so it is very difficult to place an order if you are a voiceover user, I hope that they can make some updates to make it more accessible for the blind and visually impaired
Doesn’t work. I constantly have issue with this app. If you don’t pay attention when you check out, you might get double charged. It stays on the “review order” screen even after I charges you. And half the time the order doesn’t even go through to the store. Today, when I went to get my pick up order it didn’t show up on Cold stone’s ordering system. Don’t worry, the app still charged me. The app just updated recently and signed me out when it did. Even after the update I still have the same issues.
Best Sweets Place. My family and I absolutely love ColdStone. We order for occasions and just because we see the building. Everyone is so nice and they have the best sweets. And when I found out they have an app I was even more happy and it is so convenient and an easy process. Ordering for Mother’s Day today.
App is frustrating and so is the staff.. This app doesn’t work right. Just downloaded the new version that’s supposed to have “bug fixes” but mine still won’t let me order from my previous orders. (It used to). And it doesn’t apply any awards or offers? I really don’t know why I continue to order because my order is almost NEVER right. Last time I got cookies instead of M & Ms and one of our cups was only half full. Just in general the staff at our store is friendly but very slow. The ice cream is SO GOOD though that you still get 3 stars. Please fix the app.
Note to Developers. Upon opening the app today I received a notice informing me that the app had been updated. I’m disappointed that the update has removed the option to order ahead from the standard menu. I think it renders the app next to useless, unless I order a specialty selection like a cake or shake. Even the reorder function was non-functional. If you think that as a customer I would rather stand around and wait while my selection is being made as opposed to ordering ahead and picking it up, you’re mistaken.
App doesn’t work. can’t order delivery at all; first says that the big freezer tubs of ice cream isn’t available for delivery- #1 screw up bc i’ve ordered the big tubs for delivery before after i had a rough day at work. second my card doesn’t even go through when i tried to add card and just get a little cup of ice cream I don’t drive so i can’t just go out whenever to go to pick my ice cream up and i simply wanted to have my ice cream delivered to me so i can have a treat after a long day at work
Absolute Trash App. It legitimately feels like the app is non responsive as I have to hit options multiple times to register it. To make it worse, TWICE I tried to paid, and it just came up with a blank white screen, and after waiting for any progress for minutes, I gave up. I got no email receipt, so the thing crashed on me when I tried to paid twice. Hopefully the website works better because this app is complete garbage.
App is buggy. Can’t sign in half the time. When setting up pickup time, it won’t actually choose time you select and no error is given. Even when I finally got a time to ‘work’ for next day pickup, after checking out it says order will be ready today. Webpage is MUCH easier to navigate and more reliable. Webpage explains why I can’t set time I want and recommends next available time for pickup. I recommend just using webpage instead of wasting space with the app.
Needs better user experience. The app doesn’t tell you that you need to set the time for more than 24 hours in advance. It will adjust the clock to 24 hour from your current time if you attempt to set it earlier. If you check out and your time is not set to a time 24 hours in advance then it will tell you that the requested time is invalid and you will have to go back and set it a few minutes ahead and then have to enter your credit card in again. It was frustrating. Also, my saved credit card didn’t work when clicking on it so I had to reenter my card. It also had a problem where it wasn’t showing anything and I had to restart the app a couple of times be for it showed up again. Very buggy at the time I write this.
Order not made correctly. I actually customized the cupcake order for my husband’s birthday and what I actually received was 2 of each flavor. We waited so long to get the order I did not bother to argue. There were 5 young ladies and 1 young man working, but only 1 was making the actual ice cream orders while the others were chatting about work schedules. There were only 5 customers in the store and took about 15 minutes just to get my pickup order. I’m going to the other smaller Cold Stone Location farther from my home. At least I know my order will come out correct from there.
Useless. App looks ok. Selection process was decent but when I tried to checkout with apple pay, just got a generic error saying failed. No other info. Then it was stuck on the cone animation screen. Killed the app, opened again and found cart was empty. Selected everything again and tried with a different card in apple pay and same result. Went to website and ordered. Worked fine there. Maybe the mobile developers should talk to web order developers and learn how to implement it
Love it. Went into Uber like I always used to but it said the store was closed wouldn’t let me change locations so I downloaded Cold Stone App and I was able to get my ice cream. It was a fast delivery and BEST of all I was able to leave instructions of how I wanted my order and they were actually followed am very great full.
App not working properly. I have been trying to order ice cream on your app and it always gives me the option to click no cone well that option is gone. The only option is kids sugar cone and you’re now forced to click it or it won’t accept the order. Please fix this. It is so frustrating. I have used your app for years with no issues till now now. I don’t want a cone and should not be forced into purchasing one
Can’t re-order a previous order?. App is convenient but I’m unable to quickly re-order a previous order. It could just be my app but I update everytime before use and it seems to just not be a feature. I get the same custom thing every time so I would like it if I could just click my previous order and add to cart instead of having to select each ingredient over again.
No options for adding your gift cards to the app?. I just purchased an E gift card, assuming, common sense, business practices, that I would be able to attach that gift card balance to the app to conveniently pay for purchases and not have to carry around a piece of paper with an E gift card or attach it to my E wallet. Honestly, what kind of fast food app doesn’t have this option to pay directly from the app? I would say this app needs some work.
THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. I’m finally deleting this app after I’ve tried countless times to place an order to pick up. For some reason you are required to sign in in order to place an order (absolutely ridiculous) and then after using Apple Pay I keep getting a notification that a phone number is required except there is literally no place to enter said phone number. So stupid. I’m so frustrated I’m deleting the app. Zero out of 5 stars.
Error Messages. I keep getting error messages when attempting to use the app for various reasons. The error messages offer no clue as to what the actual problem is. Through some time consuming trial and error, I finally figured out the issue was with an expired card, but the error “card service not accepted at this location” gave absolutely no clue that the issue was actually with my card on file. I prefer the delivery option from my closest location because the location doesn’t have convenient parking so I’m fine with paying someone else to deal with that aspect. However using the delivery option in the app does not allow me to reorder previous orders again. I order the same thing almost every time and it’s annoying to reenter it again over and over again. It would be nice if the order selection came first, followed by pickup/delivery choice, followed by payment. Just overall, the app is not very user friendly. At least to me.
Disappointed. February 26, 2023 I placed an order online through email special get delivery for .99. So I placed two orders of Gotta Have It Coffee Ice Cream with Graham Crackers Pie Crust and Kit Kat one with Chocolate dipped waffle bowl and one in a cup. When it was delivered both came in cups and one was not in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Anyways the ice cream cups want filled up and the Kit Kats was just broken into pieces and the Graham crackers pie crusts they were not mixed in at all they were just dumped and piled on. It looked like a mess and unpresentable. I was very disappointed with it! Plus being charged $1.99 for chocolate dipped waffle cone and $4.99 delivery fee instead of .99 as advertised on email. Whoever did my order didn’t do a good job at all. That person needs to be trained or retrained! Just because I ordered online maybe that person doesn’t think I won’t complain about it well I surely did! I even took a picture of the ice creams. It’s better to go inside the store and watch them do the work!
Used to be a good app. We used to use this app all the time to create our own creations. Now that is not an option. You only have the option to pick a signature creation. Terrible terrible idea! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if it was a glitch. Nope! Bring that option back! Many customers likely used it! We won’t be using this feature anymore and it made our dessert trips quick and easy. Don’t get unless you want something straight off the menu.
Does NOT work. Had this application on my phone for awhile now. It does not keep track of rewards or orders. There is no new update available and I have checked my husband email and we are not receiving any emails from Cold Stone about rewards or orders at all. It only shows we are 9 points away from a reward that has been like that since I first downloaded the application. We have bought birthday cakes and lots of ice cream in the pint and larger. So where are the rewards? Why does it not show all our rewards and all of our orders? To the headquarters do not bother with posting anything about emailing you or contacting any part of your company. FIX THE APPLICATION. Do not blame our phones when other applications work just fine, do your job and fix it immediately.
15 minutes turned into an hour. Ordered ahead of time, came late and was told it would take another 20 minutes. I was fine with this, it was busy, I get it. What I’m not okay with is the only 2 workers joking around the whole time then stopping everything to pose for a picture with all the order order tickets so they can send to someone else. In the end it actually took over an hour from the time I ordered to get 3 things.

What good is the app if the store is no good?. I used this app to get an ice cream cake once, and another time to pickup an ice cream. The cake was not made when I went to pick it up, and, believe it or not, the store had run out of chocolate ice cream when I ordered a chocolate peanut butter the other day. The excuse - both times - was that the store didn’t communicate with corporate. So, time to uninstall this app, and never do business with coldstone in the future.
Can’t select size. This problem has happened a few times now where there is just no place to select a size on the app or online when ordering ahead. This then prevents the item from being added to the cart and therefore unorderable. Which makes the app completely useless. The app itself is already clunky and rewards program is antique. Using rewards is a giant pain and takes several steps and logins.
THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. I’m finally deleting this app after I’ve tried countless times to place an order to pick up. For some reason you are required to sign in in order to place an order (absolutely ridiculous) and then after using Apple Pay I keep getting a notification that a phone number is required except there is literally no place to enter said phone number. So stupid. I’m so frustrated I’m deleting the app. Zero out of 5 stars.
Piece of crap. From the moment I downloaded this app, it will not let me pick a size for create your own ice cream. I can order all other kinds but I like to create my own so I can have extra brownie. I figured it was a bug and they would work it out but it’s been months and nothing. It is way easier and less of a headache to just go to the store and order in person.
Mobile Order. I placed a mobile order waited 15 minutes order still showed processing. Called into store employees unable to assist. Attempted to cancel order which now shows processed and receive a message must call store for assistance. So I stand in the line that was out the door to still be told the store employees have nothing to do with app unable to help! This was the worst I will never patronize Cold Stone again!
Improved. We’re glad the app can now handle/allow/accept two (2) flavors of ice cream. The tip seemed not to calculate properly, & if not for text alerts & e-notifications, we may have paid twice for it b/c the app got stuck on the payment screen.
Need more help!. Very chaotic. When I use the app I go in to pick up & they can’t find my order. Has happened twice now. They’re very nice about it though.
Doesn’t accept payment. App doesn’t work, every time I enter all my credit card info and click submit it just shows an x and doesn’t load, tried multiple cards and tried doing this a few days ago and it didn’t work, didn’t have trouble before. Also they didn’t accept curbside even though it says they do on the app. Guess I won’t be getting ice cream today since they won’t take my money.
So Many Issues!. First of all - we love 2 miles from our nearest Coldstone, but because it’s technically a different city, Coldstone doesn’t deliver to my location! Secondly - App crashes and gives me a blank screen when I try to apply my rewards to my order, so I can’t ever use them ordering online! We order AT least once a week, so not having this app working is beyond frustrating!
So Easy. This app is wonderful. Very user friendly, great colors and images for all items. Easy to navigate to order and the section for rewards is simple and to the point.
Cold stone App. I love cold stone ice cream. But the only thing I have a discrepancy with the app is when you try to get an option to select cone or waffle bowl. It only gives you an option to select no cone or waffle bowl and you don’t have an option anywhere to add on a Cone or a waffle ball only the ice cream. Please fix.
Only good to use as a menu. I've tried on more than one occasion to do an order through the app and have never gotten the payment screen to work. I've deleted the app and re-downloaded it. I've tried more than one card. Nothing works. So I end up having to go to the store and do my order in person.
EXPIRATION DATE, PLEASE. I like the fact that you receive rewards, but it is very frustrating to have a reward that you would like to use and no expiration date is given! You can’t see it in the app and they can’t tell you at the store!! There is also no view for past rewards so that you can prove that a reward expired. UPDATE NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!!
Love Coldstone, but the app is funky. We love Coldstone. The sweet cream ice cream is amazing. The app is difficult. I am unable to change my phone number in my account and now I am unable to use the app with the email that I prefer. I have reached out to them. It didn’t change anything. But I do love the ice cream.

Shown as Picked Up. Placed an order for two drinks through the ColdStone app for my husband to pick up. The store didn’t have the ice cream I selected for my shake so the employees tried to give my husband just the one drink without reimbursing for the other or letting us order something else, probably because it was marked as “picked up” prematurely. I couldn’t cancel and neither could the employees so we have to dispute the charge with the credit card company.
Placed an order. Placed an online order for the first time. I guess if you don’t stand there and literally watch them make it in front of you, they choose whatever flavor they feel like giving you, and mix whatever toppings they feel like giving you. And I specifically asked them to label each order, which they didn’t do. Very disappointed in my online order.
Gift card. Spent 4 days trying to get gift card accepted as payment. Cold stone customer service kept telling me I was entering gift card number wrong. I did it on my phone , my daughter tried on her phone, my husband tried on his phone. I did incorrectly type as I was trying to recreate order but at initial enter everything was good. The underlying problem was not me but the app!!!! Customer service did not understand that.
Never get my order right. Every time we order delivery we pay for waffle bowls and never receive them. Tired of being ripped off
Great Ice Cream. I had a bit of trouble making an order with a guest account… would freeze at the ice cream loading screen after making a payment. Was able to order no problem after making an account.
Don't Buy Cold Stone gift cards. Cold Stone has issues with redeeming gift cards and has not fixed the issue. I have been given e-gift cards from Sam's club and all of the sudden I cannot use gift cards. I have always saved a card to my account like a Starbucks card. If companies go bankrupt gift cards are worthless. I am currently seeking a refund from Sam's Club under their guarantee to get my money back.
Worst app ever.. This has to be the worst app in the history of mankind. It continuously declined my transactions but then charges my account and I have to dispute it with my credit card company. I can never actually order it online and I have to physically go to a store to get it. What is the point of having the app if it doesn’t work at all? Seems like some kind ofscheme to take your money honestly.
Did not made the CAKE!!!!!!!!. This is soo Embarrassing, doesn’t value the importance of the celebration and not even made a cake for my order. I ordered the cake in online yesterday and it was like 40$ and I had done my payment in online and the delivery time and date was fixed for 8:30pm tonight. The most irresponsible things was when I reached to pick my cake at the store they coveys that they haven’t really made the cake!!!!!!. It’s really bad and worst.
Gift cards. I tried to pay with a gift card with 25$ on it. My order was cheaper than that but it would not let me check out. I added my card incase that was the issue but it would not let me select the card as an option and I had to put another payment method in that it took. So why does it off gift card option if I can’t pay online with one?
Can’t pay on the app. Everytime I try to pay on the app is says error. I’ve tried different cards, another persons phone. Always the same thing. You have to actually go online to place an order. No point in downloading the app if you can’t actually order from it.
Finally fixed. I can finally log into my account on my phone and buy ice cream now. So glad it’s fixed, it was so annoying I had to use my PC just to buy ice cream
Can’t login.. I downloaded the app. Created an accounted and waited for the email to confirm the login but it never came. I checked my junk mail and it’s not there either. I tried a second time and doubled checked the email address but still nothing. I had a previous account but it says I don’t so that’s why I was trying to create a new one. I love their ice cream but hate the process of using coupons and rewards. It’s pointless!
Can never check out. Please fix the app. It never allows me to place an order and check out. Always have to go to the website. Super annoying and whats the point of the app then. Then you cannot even use a gift card if it doesn’t cover the entire amount on the website. Just so frustrating and never have this many issues other places.
Absolute Trash App. It legitimately feels like the app is non responsive as I have to hit options multiple times to register it. To make it worse, TWICE I tried to paid, and it just came up with a blank white screen, and after waiting for any progress for minutes, I gave up. I got no email receipt, so the thing crashed on me when I tried to paid twice. Hopefully the website works better because this app is complete garbage.
I think an LLM could do better. My favorite part of the app is when I go to sign in and it says I don’t have an account and going through forgot password says invalid email but signing up says email already exists, and that’s after suffering through the sign up process which scrolls you to the top every time you enter something in. I think it’s time to switch people for this.
Didn’t get what I paid for. The cake I ordered was to have writing on it for my daughters birthday. It was not done. I asked the ppl working if they could write on it for me. They fumbled around with it for about 5-10 minutes and then told me the writing tip was broken they couldn’t write on it. I have no confidence I even got the cake I asked for. It looks like they gave me a smaller cake than what I ordered. The guy was clueless my cake is probably still sitting in the freezer. Horrible customer service.
On line and ready on time. Today I used online ordering for the first time. My order was ready and correct when I arrived. A delicious and delightful experience!
Employees have no agency to make corrections. The app says to call the store to fix problems but store employees have no ability to fix orders. They cannot do anything once the order is submitted. Clearly a problem in process which is frustrating because I now have to deal with my credit card company to address.
Jenn. While using app i tried to get my cake order in prior to midnight but website had a glitch over and over and did not submit until right after midnight so i did not receive my 10$ discount ! So disappointed anyway i could get credited ?
Confusing. I accidentally purchased three of an item that I wanted one of. Each time I pressed the button to purchase... nothing really happened and I just got taken back to the previous window. I didn't know. I was buying one every time I hit that button, but there was that message at the bottom of the screen that said press here to purchase and so I kept pressing it. I'll accept my portion of the blame for this, but this app has a long way to go.
Good until the end. Everything is very well put together, except for when you try and pay at the end… It will keep asking you for a phone number and give you no option to put in one, despite having your number already on record, BUT EVEN THEN it tells you, you cannot change your phone number
Relief!. For years, Ive ordered custom cakes here, several times every year. This WAS one of theee worst apps ever encountered, took forever to order, full of glitches, crashes and wasn’t in sync with onsite store: nightmare! But thank the gods of sweet confectionery yumyums for FINALLY simplifying and fixing this app!!! Sooo much better and I’ll be a customer FOR LIFE!!

Can’t order create your own ice cream?!. App is half worthless because for ice cream you can only choose from signature creations. I use the app to order create your own milkshakes for the family members who want those, then I stand in line to order the ice cream. What sort of ice cream store builds an app that won’t let you order ice cream in a cup how you want it?!
I hate this app. Easily one of the worst experiences ever trying to get a payment to go through without an account. Literally just one error message after another and all I’ve done is press the check out button and put in my card info. The ice cream is good but you will slowly lose your mind and stop caring about ice cream as you spend 30 minutes trying to place an order for 3 items
Awesome. My daughter and I enjoy getting our reward for the week here. They are all so sweet and professional. They are always working hard to get customers in and out but friendly. Great job to all of you!!
App crashes. Every time I open this app, it immediately crashes. I have to delete and redownload. It will work then, until a couple weeks later and I want to order again. Also every time I order ahead, I sit in the restaurant and watch them take care of everyone in line before making my mobile order… while I look at the signs that say “skip the line! Order ahead!”
Problems when submitting an order. I’ve submitted multiple orders. Out of 10 orders submitted, I’ve received without issue 6 of them. Tonight I submitted an order that kept saying it wasn’t available. I called the store and they said they got the order. About 45 minutes later it said it was delivered and it was not. I called the store and the people at the store can’t do anything about it. So now I have no ice cream that I paid for.
It’s so much better!. The new app is so much nicer. A few assets could be updated (rectangle images in circles), but overall it’s just so much easier to use than before.
Outdated app. It feels outdated. When I place an order for pick up I click the pay option and nothing happens on the screen it just stays there. If I would have clicked the pay again option it would’ve charged me twice. Luckily I waited a minute before doing that and I go a confirmation email saying they received my order. It should be easier to get my ice cream. The app just feels so outdated. It just lacks easiness
No Like-It size option. Tried to order tonight but the size options had only Love-it or bigger. Also had issues when selecting my payment method. I selected my saved card but nothing would happen. After selecting it over and over k finally just added a new payment with the same card info.
App unusable. Unable to make a purchase because the App says the location will not take credit cards. I try to call the location and no one answers. I tried to order through the website and it also refuses to accept any credit card. I even tried my debit card and it doesn’t work either. Tried for 2 weeks. Giving up.
App Needs Improvement. It works but you cannot write special instructions or even select an occasion because the sale won’t go through. You have to buy it and then call them with instructions. Makes more sense to cute out the phone call and make the app more functional.
Can I save a favorite order?. It would be very helpful to be able to save a previous order as a favorite so that it could easily be re-ordered. Thank you
Update Everyday??. I’m not understanding, Everyday there is Another update and Everyday I do it Again. How many times does one app need an update? Apple doesn’t even update their own apps/products that often - and that’s saying a lot because they also have updates for at least one thing each day. But the difference is - it’s Not the Same app Over & Over Again Nonstop!!
