IHealth Gluco-Smart App Description & Overview

What is ihealth gluco-smart app? Automatically record test results with a digital logbook that eliminates manual entry. The iHealth Gluco-Smart app saves time and eliminates errors by automatically handling tasks that are tedious with most blood glucose measuring systems, such as logging test results, charting data, and sharing results with caregivers. Add the secure cloud service (it’s free, too) and you have a convenient “go-to” testing system – wherever you are.

Measure – View readings instantly on your mobile device. Tag details to your results such as meals, activities, and voice memo. Upload offline measurements, and scan your new test strips for smart tracking.

Record – View a graphical summary of your past week, 2 weeks, month, and 3 months measurements and averages. Entries are all securely stored in your free iHealth cloud account for you to view at any time.

Manage – Review a digital logbook with all the details of your measurements, including time stamp, date, meals, carbs, activity, and voice memo. See stats and trends of key time periods broken out by day and meals.

Share – Share your results instantly with friends, family, or your doctor in .csv or pdf report format.

Note: Requires iHealth Gluco-Monitoring System or iHealth Align Glucose Meter which is purchased separately.

Good, but could be better. Overall good app design, but the UI needs to be optimized for an iPhone 6 Plus. As-is the app looks a bit ugly on a bigger screen. Much more importantly... When the app first runs it asks for HealthKit permissions to write blood glucose; however, it does NOT ask to read things like height, weight, birthdate, etc from HealthKit. The information is there, so iHealth needs to read that data instead of asking the user to enter it manually. This is especially important for weight which can fluctuate on a daily basis.

Cool looking. Can be better. The app seems to be pretty stable with the exception of crashing after a blood scan, and trying to switch to another app, this one will crash. Other than than, the PFD reports are nice, but it would be nicer if they had an option to have a detailed report of each reading so attached photos and written comments are part of the report. There is not much sense into have those ones if one can not shared them with the doctor.

Some Issues. I use this app 4 times daily to monitor my glucose levels. I was diagnosed about 6 months ago so all this is new to me. There are some issues but support has been responsive and seems to be working on a fix. Like many other users the app thinks it is a music player which requires me to make sure the app is closed after logging. I use two different medications and when I enter dosage in one medication is is a number field and pulls up the numeric keyboard. The second medication is formatted text so it will pull up the text keyboard which I am sure would be a bug.

Great so far. Just did first test, great so far

App and equipment good, but disappointed about Apple Health app. I’ve been using this system for years and find it easy and reliable. I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED that the developers haven’t update the app to sync the info with the Apple Health app.

Use to work. This app use to work just fine … until recently. Now it tries to open and then crashes. If I do a soft or hard restart of my iPad, and then open only this app – it’ll work just once. The next time I try to open the app, it’ll do the same “try to open and then crashes.” BUT - if I can get it to open, and then leave it open in the background, it seems to work fine. Additionally, if I restart my iPad and have just one other app open in the background, this app won’t open (tries to open and then crashes). The only difference between when it use to work on my iPad and now is, I think, the recent update of the iPad to 17.4. So, my best guess is it appears that this app appears to be having a resource management problem with the latest IOS update. Unfortunately, to date, trying to get help from iHealth support has been a bit problematic for me. iPad Pro (5) iOS v.17.4 256GB

Almost perfect. Even if you don't have the meter, this is a great app. By far the best looking at the Apple Watch. Their strips are priced fairly, no insurance covers it yet, but the price is close to other strips that are covered. The lancet is bad, spins, get a soft touch. The meter is good, the display could be better, but then again the app shows everything. There is still room for improvement, like longer battery life, I'm not crazy about the screen when you open the app, but overall it's a clean interface. The PDF export is awesome, makes communication with your doctor a breeze.

(Fixed!) Health sync broken.... (UPDATED) Customer care was great! Problem was fixed very quickly! The whole reason I invested in this app was because of the convenience of having the readings integrated with Health so that I could share them with my doctor. Since the last update, Health integration is completely missing. I feel like I've spent all this money for nothing. What's the point of having such an advanced device if my readings are still trapped within an app and I have to manually export everything any time I need to share it with my doc.

Easy Use. The set up process was easy and on screen instructions were easy to follow.

App and monitor have a lot of problems. The biggest problem is the app does not always recognize that the monitor is plugged in or gives error messages saying the 2-day old battery is low. It often does this as I am halfway through testing, which means I have to waste supplies and poke myself again. Yesterday, one reading took 3 pokes. Instructions for app are terrible. It often will not recognize when I try to indicate that a reading is post-meal, and it keeps graphing my post-meals in with pre-meal readings. It ranks a reading as high or low based on a non-diabetic's blood sugar. Why not let the user choose to use ADA targets if they are diabetic? It has been really disappointing so far, and I'll probably go back to my old monitor.

Are we there yet. One star review because you have asked for a review every day, (24 hour period) since this app was last updated

Love it. I have tried so many meters and this on is the best. At least for me. It does everything I need. I love that I can take a picture of my meals and save it. The report are great too. I very rarely have an error so I do not waste strips. With all the other meters I had so many errors and was throwing away a lot of strips. This meter does not waste strips. My insurance pays for my strips. I just have to get a prescription from my doctor and give it to the pharmacy.

Tired of being asked for reviews. The title says it all. I’ve been using this product for years. Keep asking for reviews and I’ll look for a different product.

Needs a tweak. I'm using this app in conjunction with the iHealth Smart Glucometer. In theory, the app provides everything I want to monitor my blood sugar. My complaint is the lack of consistency in nomenclature between the iPhone and iPad apps. Things are arranged entirely different between to two apps. This difference would almost be acceptable if they labeled the functions the same between the two. There also appear to be different functions between each app...on my phone app, under the settings tab is a "sync" feature, presumably to sync data from phone to the iHealth cloud storage (documentation is not the best). The iPad app does not have this same sync feature. Syncs also do not seem to be complete. I can have 3 data sets showing on my phone, but only 2 on the cloud and iPad. In general, I feel this app is on the right track but they are badly in need of some fresh eyes on these inconsistencies. For these reasons I'm giving only a three star rating. If they would correct the inconsistencies between iPhone and iPad apps and correct the sync issue, I would bump that rating up to 4 stars. (I reserve my 5-star ratings for stellar and beyond expectation apps)

I do t know if I like it yet. The pen with the needle seems dangerous it gets stuck and it keeps saying it’s offline

Awesome effort, but careless mistakes in app and web. This product is best-in-class at addressing many problems facing diabetics. - App crashes in some scenarios where we try to pair with the meter once the app has already started. - PLEASE FIX THIS (easy fix): There is a bug in how you are recording times when blood sugars are measured without connecting to the phone. When you synch, the app sometimes claims that the reading was taken a few hours in the future, at strange intervals. Whats worse is that there is no option to update the time within the app with the correct one. Somebody is screwing up the math when reconciling the system time on the meter and the actual time on the phone. Please check this. If you have diabetes I highly recommend you buy all your testing supplies from this company. Even with the bugs I am finding this product is far superior to anything else. Test strips cost 25 cents also… : )

App Update Frustration. I've had this glucose monitor and app over a year now and it is great for keeping track of my blood sugars. Since the app update though I've been having trouble when I try to connect. Every time I turn the device on to connect with the app, the app closes out. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app, I've reset my phone, and I've even tried downloading the app to my husband's phone. All have produced the same results. I haven't been able to test my blood sugar for 3 days now bc I can't scan the new bottle of strips. Please fix ASAP

Please Don't Use This System- For your own Sake. I'm a Medical Student that was formally employed designing devices similar to these before working to help people. I found this system to be confusing and untrustworthy. Please for your own sake, don't buy this product/use this system. Buying a OneTouch and writing it out on paper, or graphing it in excel, would be a better option. The people that designed this app did a POOR job. And i would not want anyone to use this to monitor their blood sugar. Especially if you are INSULIN DEPENDENT. Please DO NOT buy. For your own sake. I would also be more than happy to inform any company representative to the list of reasons why their product is completely unsatisfactory for medical use. Feel free to email me. I stand by the fact that everyone should NOT use this product.

3 pricks = NO results. Absolutely horrid. Do yourself a favor and stick with a trusted brand. I bought ALL these items - test strips, lancets, alcohol swabs, battery - just for using one of their machines and it DOES NOT WORK. If something is wrong, TELL THE USER. Instead the screen would just sit with NO feedback as I’m bleeding all over my table. I demand a refund.

Good idea but needs improvement. Good idea of tracking on the phone. I was excited for it but ever since I got it, it has been inconsistent at startup. Sometimes it recognizes the meter and sometimes it does NOT which was more often. It had to do with time lapse between opening the app and inserting the meter into the audio jack. If it does not recognize, then you have to kill the app and restart. Got tired after a while of doing this. The second problem is that the battery dies out within a month. So 2 months later i am done fighting this one. So one they have to improve batter life or use phone power and second fix the software!!

Really great app. This app is very good at seamlessly tracking your blood sugar and letting you stay updated. I love that I compare it to multiple devices and be able to see my results across all my devices. My doctors loved it that they could see my trend. I recommend this app and the product that goes with it.

Sync. The previous IHealth device was sync with my iPhone. This one will not. I have tried everything with no success.

Monitor your health. Diabetes is dangerous and can be life-ending. Monitor this dangerous disease and how it affects your body.

Review. I can take this to my physician visits and she can view my sugars.

Convenient. Good when it works, but the Bluetooth is spotty.

Great way to keep records. Simple download app, setup profile, take measurement, touch measure on your app, and it records it for you. You can make notes, and it even has a microphone where you can speak a note. Definitely for the money, this is by far the best glucometer I’ve ever used!

Generally Pleased. Have been using the wireless glucose monitor and this app for over a year now. Had some initial hiccups where the monitor was unable to recognize that a strip had been inserted. Even when it did recognize it, it did not get a reading from the blood sample or control solution. It took several back-and-forth communications including sending pictures over a period of several weeks before it was agreed that I was using the device properly. Once that happened a new device was sent out quickly. I have been using the new monitor for a year and have had few issues. I also tested my readings at the same time I had a blood test run at a lab. The results were relatively close to the lab results for a home monitoring product. My results were better than the FDA accuracy guidelines.

IHealth App. Very user friendly and easy to use.

DIABETES DIGITAL APP. The Ochsner Diabetes Digital Medicine Program have a wonderful App. It is very user friendly. I love the App because it helps me to keep track of my daily blood sugar. GREAT APP TO RECOMMEND!!!

Amazing!!!!. Just opened!! So nice and sleek. Very easy to use ,app is so easy so far. Thanks we love it

IHealth Gluco+. Great way to track glucose levels on your iPhone. Worked perfectly the first time I used it. My only issues are: 1) The cap on the lancing device is difficult for my arthritic hands to remove and, 2) you must order calibration fluid separately. Otherwise, it is fast, easy, and lightweight in a decent case that wont take up too much room in your purse or back pack. Also, very fast front door delivery!

Solid app, needs a little work. I am very happy with this app overall. The test strips are affordable if your insurance does’t cover it like mine. I haven’t had any syncing problems and I can send a report to my doctor from the iHealth website. It’s also very handy to have my blood sugar readings on my phone for when I visit my doctor. My only complaint is that if you take a reading after 10pm, it won’t let you tag that reading as being “after meal.” I work late and often eat late so I end up with some inaccurate records. I have to manually adjust my reports before sending them to my doctor.

Grrrr. This is the very best unit I've used. But..... the test strip count reminder gets in the way. If you don't hurry and do all steps the unit shuts down right as you ruin the strip. The app will start, tell you to get blood, waiting, you get it, the test strip amount warning pops up and cancels the test. This unit eats test strips unnecessarily, not to mention the multiple extra holes required to be stabbed into your finger. This morning, I'm giving up on my test, two wasted strips is enough. Please fix the app to allow us to turn test strip count off or make sure it doesn't come on during the test. It's a real shame something this simple prevented me from a five star rating.

I-health glucose meter. Love it. It goes directly to my Dr., alerts you immediately if readings are to low or high.

Works fine. Works fine for me without any problems or issues. The meters are pretty accurate. I take my glucose reading just before going in for blood workup and the IHealth meter is always within 3-4 points. Not bad at all, and a lot better than some of the others I've used. The app with 3 month average makes it easy to calculate a best guess estimated A1c reading. Be nice if the app did that on its own.

Easy and Fast. Very easy, fast and I got all the information in my cellphone.

iHealth meter. I love that everything was included in the package. And the ease to set it up through my Bluetooth on my phone. Fantastic and this is my favorite part that these blood strips need very little blood and it very accurate.

Lots of potential, looking forward to updates. iHealth Labs deserves a lot of credit for bringing a Bluetooth blood glucose meter to the market without gouging diabetics for the test strips — 25 cents a strip versus Lifescan’s $1.30++ per strip. Yes, the iOS app still needs some work, including better explanation for the Access to Microphone privacy warning. Since the BG1 Align meter plugs into the iPhone headphone jack that has a microphone contact in the jack, the meter needs access to this contact in order to work. Not so, the BG5 Bluetooth meter for which a user can safely ignore the Microphone prompt. Overall, I think the app shows a LOT of potential for being an affordable, easy to use alternative. The fact that it works with two meters and its competition is 5x more expensive to use is even more reason to look forward to updates.

Great app for monitoring blood glucose. I have been using this app for about 6 months now. It is reliable and connects/syncs well with the iHealth glucometer. There are two main features that I like most. The first is the detailed trend and data analysis that the app provides. The second is the reminder feature that tells you when you are close to being out of test strips. I would highly recommend this app along with the iHealth glucometer.

Sierra. Best glucose meter

Amazing. Simple and easy

Requires an account on iHealth. Seriously?! We must I create an account on your site? I do not need to do this for other health apps - including Apple's Health app! I know some will argue I have an Apple ID but that isn't the same. I use that to purchase and track info on my devices. My health data in the Health app is ONLY STORES ON MY IPHONE. And I have the option of choosing where to back the data up and encrypting the data when doing so. Apple has no access to it! There are only two entities which get my health data - me and my healthcare provider. Figure out how to work with either of these and DO NOT require me to make an account on your site just so you can mine and resell my contact info. Charge more for your app if you must, but don't make me give you my data. I'm done having my accounts hacked when they were supposed to be stored "securely" (i.e. Sony, Target, U.S. Gov., and all the other "we've been hacked" stories we have seen in 2015). The best way not to get hacked, is not to have an account!!

Very nice app. This device and app are proving to be very useful in management of my type 2 diabetes. I really like how it has the ability to preselect pre/post meal and other readings based on time of day. I also have the option to change this easily. The app is very easy to read and understand. I use the BG5 device and have not had any issues with connecting it to my iPhone 6. There is a sequence you have to use but it's not difficult at all. The readings appear to be very accurate. I like it so much I'm buying the blood pressure monitor and scale as well. It also automatically links to the apple Health app without any configuration on my part. Very good product.

Needs tweaking.... Love the idea. The size is good and the strip cost is very good. Hopefully my insurance will recognize them and start helping to pay. Now for the quirks. The microphone access reminder should be a one time thing. I don't use the voice note feature. The 10 strip reminder is also annoying. Doing the math, 40% of the time you use the meter, it gives you that reminder. The Bluetooth hookup is spotty, sometimes requiring you to shut the meter off and try again. The problem there is the power button doesn't let you turn the unit off. You need to insert and eject a strip. The last quibble is the case doesn't last long. The elastic strips gave out in 2 weeks. The zipper is on its last legs after 2 months. Cheap.

Issues....update!!. Contacted Customer Service and they not only worked with me, but they sent me a new device because the one that I had was defective. Thanks i-Gluco Support Team! Everything is back on track. It used to be reliable but now it's not. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it don't. Sometimes it scans my new test strips, most time it don't. Hate that I will have to go back to my old method of checking my glucose. Like the product, love the idea but hate that it's not reliable!!!

Can’t History List 2 Insulin Types. I take two types of insulin Regular & NPH YES I can enter BOTH on the main “detail” sheet Regular & NPH But only one of those two shows on the History List. I take different dosages or units depending on the current sugar level. My work around is to make two measurements everytime that I actually am really taking only one measurement, On first measurenent I list units taken of NPH first & number of units of Reg second On second measurement I List units of Regular insulin first and NPH insulin second. Why? Because iHealth app ONLY LIST IN HISTORY mode the units of insulin taken for the first insulin entered and not the second type of insulin listed, Big nuisance and kludgey, I see also that iHealth does not make too many or too frequent changes to the iHealth app, Hopefully iHealth will add this to their “Bugs to Fix” List Other than that issue I would give FIVE STARS

Love this App to keep log. Extremely pleased with it

Not worth the money. First of all, insurance won't pay for this meter or your strips. If you test a lot, it gets very expensive. I test 7 times a day, before and after each meal, and at bedtime. Second, the meter is VERY finicky when using test strips. I had a 20% failure rate on the strips until I figured out just how touchy these strips are. (And I've been testing for 20 years!) I lost about 30 strips and IHealth tech support couldn't have cared less. Third, the report is marginal. You can get much more meaningful reports from other glucose monitoring apps such as BGluMon. I bought this meter as a time saver with its automatic data entry. In reality it's NOT a time saver. You still have to manually enter in the category of the reading (Before Lunch, etc) if the meter gets it wrong, which is very often. You still have to enter medication and amounts. So what's the point? All you're saving with IHealth is entering in 3 digits for your glucose reading! It makes more sense to get a free meter, free strips, test OFTEN, and manually enter your data into another app. I use BGluMon and the reports are excellent! Data entry is as fast or faster than IHealth. As soon as I go through my last 4 bottles of IHealth strips, the whole thing is going into the trash can.

Slick, intuitive, and powerful. The iGluco application, built to be used in conjunction with iHealth's amazing Wireless Smart Glucose Monitoring System, is beautifully designed and extremely easy to use. The app runs on iPhones and iPads and uploads glucose readings from the Monitoring System, maintaining them in a database after they have been automatically timestamped. The app allows other data to be associated with a given reading, such as whether it is a fasting reading, or one done after a meal. The user interface is one of the most intuitive I have ever seen in an iOS app, and yet provides powerful and sophisticated features such as a running line graph of your glucose levels over user-specified time intervals, and an embedded digital version of Diabetes Forecast Magazine, featuring helpful educational materials on living with diabetes.

Work on Bluetooth connection!. Bluetooth connection doesn’t work all the time! The new update made the Bluetooth connection worse! Other than the Bluetooth connection I like the product! Been using it for about five years. Tried others, but keep coming back to iHealth.

Perfect Software. Easy to use. Powerful.

Worst app. Never worked since upgrade to version 3.4.3 Zero support on product :(

Great app. Great simple to use

I use this every day. Brilliant app. I have the Ihealth device that plugs into my phone and measures my glucose. It is my daily driver of a glucose monitor while I am not home. The app is easy to use and my endo loves the info I can email to him. My wife has the app on her device so she can check how my levels are as I travel a lot for work. Keeps her stress levels low as my levels are shown. In all it has made it to my app dock at the bottom of the iPhone with my most used apps. Highly recommended

Excellent.

App REQUIRES hardware. This app should not be in the Canadian App Store, it requires you to buy Glucometers not available in Canada. There is no way to use the app without them.

Terrible !!! Buys be aware. Buggy software !!! Not user friendly at all. Lost a lot of strips to get one simple reading - looks good but doesn't work as it should - simplifying life through digitalization - iheath managed exactly opposite. I put one star but it is too much

Great App and Hardware. The app works great with their Bluetooth iOS glucose monitor. The first reading was easy to take and matched the reading at the commercial lab. A friend who uses an excel spreadsheet for monitoring his glucose levels was envious when he saw how easy it is with the App and how much information you can add manually.

Good when it works. After having this device and app for a few months, I have had quite a few problems with the app recognizing the device. How am I supposed to use it if the app never recognizes and launches the device for use? I'm glad I didn't pay for mine, otherwise I'd be asking for a refund. I'm going back to my one touch meter.

Well priced strips and great system. Hands down the best overall system available. As a pharmacist, I'd recommend this to my patients. Great app, great tracking of blood glucose. Easy to use. The only negative I've found so far: test strips expire within 3 months after scanning them into the app. Not ideal for sporadic testers/pre diabetics. If you're diabetic and test daily, it will not effect you.

Needs a tweak. I'm using this app in conjunction with the iHealth Smart Glucometer. In theory, the app provides everything I want to monitor my blood sugar. Bugs. I like this app and it's concept. But my experience with the meter had been only fair. For a long time it would not recognize the meter until I closed and reopened the app or I had to restart the phone. Now it isn't working at all. I tried changing batteries, no luck. So if I want to use all of those test strips I purchased, I will have to re-purchase the meter. Not so good.

Love The Simplicity. I really love the simplicity of this application and the integration with the devices. Scan the canister of the strips, plug the strip to the device and connect to the iPhone; that simple. The integration with the Health App works great as well and the ability to sync the data to the cloud allows visibility even when I do not have my iPhone.

Not iPhone X Compatible. Made my unit and test strips useless. Won’t purchase anything else from them in the future.

I gluco. I love the app that works so well with I I health glucose meter It is not only easy to access but very easy to track blood sugar levels Best thing I ever added to my phone, the device itself is also so compact. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to track blood sugar levels

New Version Much Nicer. Nice update, Easy to find the info you need. Does not hijack you microphone like other versions. Works well with my Wireless Smart Gluco meter. No crashing issues. Hope to see blood sugar back on healthkit to see how syncing will work. Thanks iHealth for the opportunity to beta test.

Much improved software. This new version of the software is great. I recently started using the Ihealthlabs Align, the previous version of the software was so bad that I thought the meter was defective. It took multiple times of shutting down the app and inserting and reinsert the align and or strips before you could take a reading. This new version does away with all of that.

BG1 not connecting. I have the BG1 device and a backup neither are connecting despite changing batteries. After writing customer service they suggested bedtime for both devices! Didn't know that after a night of resting before testing in the morning they needed more time to rest. "... may be possible that the iHealth Align (BG1) is not making a full connection with your device. This can be due to either a bulky device case, a dead battery on the BG1, or device simply needs a rest." This was the customer service responses

Convenient. I don't have diabetes or anything, I just like to check my blood glucose sometimes. However, I'm struggling to add a post-meal reading via the app. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. It has settings and statistics for post-meal, even a button. I can't get it to do anything though. Maybe it's user error.

Cheap.

Great application. With the updates to the app I can now easily pair my iHealth model BP5 glucometer and the app on my ipad to measure and track my blood sugar level. The revised and improved tgest strips are much better than the originals. Now I only have to use one test strip each time to get a blood sugar reading to upload to the app. Now with the app it is much easier to scan the QR codes from the top of the lid of the test strips.

Very well done. The attempt iHealth is making to make managing diabetes affordable should be applauded. This app is a wonderful complement to the experience, and the Apple Watch app is outstanding. Two wishes: longer battery life on the meter, and being able to use Bluetooth on more than one device (iPhone and iPad). Nicely done.

A Few Issues. The app is okay overall, but I have a few issues. First, the monitor should come with control solution. Come on. But that's not the apps fault. However, in the section of the app where one performs the control solution test, the instructions tell the user to put a blood drop on the strip instead of a dip of control solution. That should be fixed right away.

Failure to Sync with iPhone. Since I updated the App, it no longer syncs my results with my iPhone. I’m currently using the iPhone 6 Plus.

It's a real shame something this simple prevented me from a five star rating.

good start. decent app with Bluetooth glucometer integration and option for manual entry as well. reminder/alarm feature was something I've been searching for. I can't figure out why the app sends my device 4 separate notifications for a single scheduled reminder?! the reports are good enough for me, haven't tried sending to doc yet. would like to see a spot to record weight in future. pretty good app for my needs this far.

Generally works well. I use the device and app for sports based monitoring, not diabetic management. It is easy to use and works consistently. It has more functionality than I need. My larger issue is not with the app but with the accuracy of the glucose measurement itself. It consistently reports numbers that are slightly above normal. But measurements with other meters and in lab tests are always lower and within normal limits.

Good App. Finally working on my iPhoneXs!

iPhone 8. Are you ever going to update the app for iPhone 8 or x?

Adding Reading. IGluco is s great technology. However it's reading are always 30 plus degrees higher than my FreeStyle Lite meter for some reason. Had the same problem with iBGStar. I use both meter. Today found new update and although there's a plus (+) at the top of the page I can no longer add the value from my FreeStyle Lite meter manually. My doctor follows this information closely. So I hope it will get fixed in the next update. Otherwise I like the concept. I'm not sure if the measurement system is higher for any particular reason. I find USA made meters have lower readings. I hope we're not fooling ourselves in the process.

Doesn’t open. My app doesn’t open. So I can’t even try it.

App does not work. My account was deleted and lost all data. I can no longer log in

Bad update. I really liked this app. Despite it not working in anything other than portrait orientation on my iPad, it was pretty decent. This last update to the app made it unable to work with my ipad anymore. Now, if you buy their meter and strips, and test your glucose, you will have to log onto their site to see your readings unless you have an iPhone, iTouch, or iWatch. I really hope they fix it quickly. If it takes too long, I may have to switch back to my original monitor and strips.

Using for two months. I have been using this glucometer for the last two months and rate it high. The accuracy is good - I have compared it at my various glucose readings with three other meters and it falls well within the expected spread. I measure before and after meals and my only problems are (1) I cannot tag the meal as B, L or D. Sometimes the software mis-tags the data throwing off my readings. If I could tag (perhaps multi-tab, the after-meal for breakfast used as the before-meal for lunch?), it would make the graphs much more reliable. (2) The iPhone screen is small and using the graphs to diagnose medication problems, etc. is difficult. If there were a means to export, it would be very helpful.

Love the app, hate this update. I've been using IHealth products for a while and have found this app really helpful in keeping my sugar levels in check. Eye-opening in come cases. Nevertheless, this latest update fills the app with what can only be described as ads for the American Diabetes Association. This is simply unacceptable, and if it doesn't change soon, I'm going back to regular glucometers. It really is that ugly.

Network timeout. On launch this is what the app says. I’m throwing it all in the trash.

Exercise Recording Issue. The Exercise recording feature worked the first week then stopped showing in the reports for my doctor. You can see that I exercised on the iPhone but the PDF or spreadsheet report does not indicate exercise information any more. Was this information removed from the app? Horrible news if it was! O don’t like that exercise is not indicated in the printed results.
