Crashing. This App worked well, but of today it is crashing when attempting to make a call.

Very outdated UI. It has very uncomfortable and outdated UI, plus sometimes when you are talking it registers unintentional clicks on screen.

Great system. This is a great phone system.

Don’t pay for the subscription. Overall, the app does what it claims to do, but the paid subscription doesn’t work. If you disable wifi and switch to wireless data or change networks or your internet provider changes your IP, the app stops working and you get a weird error “missing push device token” which is the only feature the paid version gives you: push notifications. So if you’re using the free version, you should be OK, but don’t throw money at the subscription, it just doesn’t work.

Awesome application. I can't describe how awesome this application is. Now I talke all my calls on my cellpphone and the clarity is indescribable! Highly recommended.

Worthless. Call quality is terrible (all my customers complain about echo), Bluetooth never works, the push notifications are hit and miss... this app has one job -phone calls-and it fails miserably. I even spent $30 on all of the different upgrades, but nothing got any better.

Doesn’t work on background. Force background and WiFi keep alive options have been removed. The app was working flawlessly for me until that. What happened?

Close but not quite. This app would be almost perfect if it didn’t try to proxy SIP in order to use push notifications. That makes it impossible to use with a PBX on a private network.

Excellent calling app for voip. Excellent call quality. Use this as authorized app by my voip provider. It is great user interface, intuitivity, and voice quality. Highly tecommended.

A great soft phone. I have in the past, used other Softphone suppliers. I now use Zoiper both on my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. I regularly use it to call clients and friends in other countries. The quality of the audio is excellent. Zoiper works very well. I would unreservedly recommend Zoiper.

In app purchases don’t work. I was trying to buy push notifications subscription but was showing up an error. I tried to contact support and they asked me to contact apple support. I contacted apple support and they asked me to reach out to developer. I waisted my money on this app. It works when u keep it open but no incoming calls when u turn iff screen.

Works with Allstarlink nodes great. I have been using Zoiper with IAX on my voip Allstarlink Node and it has worked flawlessly with excellent audio.

Amazing for Voice IP. If you want to connect to a sip server on an iPhone, it’s very simple to setup and use. It makes it simple to you your mobile phone as an IP phone. What an amazing app!

DNS Timeout 503. Constantly get this error when connected to Wi-Fi. Unable to solve the issue and tech support has not helped. Linphone works fine. Paid for app and push notifications but does not work at all.

Constantly missing calls. This app is virtually unusable as it never actually rings. I get emails from my SIP services telling me I have voicemails and missed calls but the app, which is open and running in the background, never rings or even shows missed calls. I can make calls from the app so my settings are obviously setup properly.

Annoying. It shows an encryption option but greyed out cannot be changed. It pops up camera access alert every time i open it when I senied it in purpose. I mean have some common sense and ahow it if actual video call is attempted instead of bombarding.

Push notification doesn’t work.. Push notifications hang when turn on. Once you subscribed to push notifications you can’t get your money back even if you cancel it within the trail period. Switched to Bria and push notifications work beautifully. So happy now because my battery last so long.

Push Notification Does Not Work. Paid for an annual subscription but PUSH NOTIFICATION does not work. I notified Customer Service and was informed it’s a know issue they’re working on. I then asked why are they still selling the Push Notification as a premium add-on and I was told I can cancel my subscription. What about a refund? How do I get a refund?

Crashes and lost functionality with every new version. Avoid this app!!!! Last update made the app crash almost immediately after starting. It doesn’t even support any screen sizes but the ancient view for devices with home buttons. So the developer’s priority is obviously not on improving the app or even bringing it up to date. So how can they be trusted to keep the app working? If you quickly dial something immediately after opening the app and the call goes through, it doesn’t crash till you hang up. So it’s something with the updated app. Seems every feature except the very basic will eventually be moved behind the subscription model. Just walk away now!

Last update crippled app - unusable. Running version 3.15.2, update broke ability to make outbound calls via IAX extension. We thoroughly troubleshot the issue and had to create SIP extensions for all users just to allow inter-office functionality. We use IAX on a non-standard port & we don’t allow SIP outside the firewall for various reasons, so over 60% of our workforce is dead in the water until we find a better IAX solution. Very disappointed , especially for this being a paid. If I could give zero stars, I would. Nightmare update!!

Borderline extortion. About a year ago this app was working fine with no issues on my home network. After some recent updates I went to use it again and now there’s no audio, and their “support” websites only real suggestion for that is to buy their subscription service which should “fix everything”. So it would seem to me as if they kneecapped their app to make sure you’re paying their monthly fees....

Barely works when needed. I am on iPhone 11 with the latest 14.5 iOS. The desktop app works fine but the iOS app is quite terrible. They rarely ring simultaneously at the same time. I have to close and reopen the iOS app all the time and it takes a second to register. They will work together once but then it stops after a call. The only time it rings is if the desktop app is completely closed. However, even then about 25% of the time the app doesn’t open or freezes up. Calls often get disconnected while talking to customers. I even pay the $1 a month to get “better” call prioritization but it doesn’t seem to do anything at all. I thinking of trying another SIP client or going back to Bria altogether.

Latest update removes key features. Update: the email address that the developer left in their response is invalid. Tried multiple times to contact them and it bounces back every time. All email validation reports a failure when trying to reach their MX records. Lowering my rating of the app due to lack of support. Great app that has worked very well for me in the past. This latest update removed WiFi keep alive and background refresh. I hope this will be added back soon. Not able to use push due to firewall restrictions. Please help.

Works. Once I got the phone system setup properly (VOIP can be a pain), this app has worked well for us (a high school) for several years.

Safe and fast but just a problem. The App uses IAX so it’s safer and faster than sip based apps but it’s not compatible with new iPhones such as iPhone 12 . I think giving new update will solve the issue.

Doesn’t have the features I paid for. So I’m only giving 1 star because I paid for the extra options (buttons to transfer, conference, etc. ) and none worked, the app did not update, no new buttons added, just a paid receipt.

Accepted app specially that it is free. I am using this software to call out successfully. The incalls is not doing well, specially if the phone is not on active usage. Don’t expect to receive calls if the phone in sleep

I like communicating through Zoiper. It provides adds communication abilities to a smartphone that allows one to continue to communicate when towers are down. Options are always best when technology is available for customization.

Works advanced secure communications. One of the few that works well with FreePBX. The developers fix things. Secure encrypted calls are possible though complex requirements on the FreePBX side are required.

I like this app. One quick idea.. I’m a premium user of this app now and the money was well spent. One quick idea I have however: I believe this app is slightly behind when it come to dark mode. Most of my apps are in dark mode, and so moving to Zoiper hurts my eyes sometimes. So please add dark mode, and thanks for this great app.

A solid choice with one major shortfall.. This is a solid app, but the lack of support for Bluetooth audio sources is a major shortfall. Not being able to conduct calls on a wireless earpiece has left me looking for something else.

Doesn’t stay registered, no support, even with paid. Becomes unregistered. Paid version with “push” does not work. This is fine when I’m making a call, but it means I miss every single call unless I happened to have just turned it on. I works great when registered, but I have to go into the app and click the “register” button every single time.

Very broken on iOS 15. Upgrade to iOS 15 broke the app in a big way. It used to work perfectly. Now audio on calls is very unreliable with the same configuration and provider, it works maybe 10% of the time at best.

Hopelessly useless. Even after contacting tech support I found the “app” would lose contact with both SIP servers after a short while when the app was placed in the background. A check of the GUI of the provider revealed that registration was indeed lost. Do, no calls could be received. I discontinued my subscription and removed the junk app from my phone. Save your time and frustration. Avoid this one!

Purchased addition features and they don't work. Purchased call transfer feature but the transfer button is greyed out. I want to be able to transfer an inbound call but it doesn't work.

Working now on wi-fi. Update: I deleted the app then reinstalled and changed the DNS server for my wi-fi router to OpenDNS. It works perfectly now!

Missing some basic features. 1. Zoiper is always registering ALL the accounts without the ability to disable a certain account for registering. 2. There is no possiblity to disable incomming calls for certain account only.

Problems I've found. First is that any contact that is a business with no first or second name will show up as blank when searching. Other problem is the app needs to be force quit and restarted when has been in the background. Otherwise you can't dial another number. Plus the Bluetooth problem with AirPods like the other review It's been like that for a while now

Does the job well. Easy to use and good interface to address book. Microphone has ceased functioning a couple of times, but that is rectifiable. Biggest issue is battery drain when on standby, but that is common to all such apps

Keep crashing after upgrade. After upgrading to the new version on my iPhone 5S, it just stays on the splash screen and then I will crash, so beware, do not upgrade until it is fixed.

Faktortel. Works well with Faktortel in australia, Ring tone seems to be barely existant on incoming calls though.

A great base product.. Zoiper is very easy to use and painless to setup. It could do with Bluetooth support and possibly a lock screen or top bar icon showing it is registered and connected. It becomes time consuming to check that it is connected through the day, where as having an icon perhaps beside the battery icon could be a great help! Otherwise great!

Excellent again. The previous version lost its outbound audio on two devices making it useless. It was also noted making a clicking sound when not in use. It returns again to a very useful and easy to use app which is integrated with contacts and now the audio set. General use seems flawless.

Value for money. This app is relatively easy to use and has been stable so far. Although you have to purchase G.729 to have a decent voice quality over mobile network. Call volume on speaker is bit low but doesn't bother me as i use headset. Also it has problem of sending calls through bluetooth headset but i think that's more of an IOS issue. If you are making calls over wifi with good internet connection then you can just use the free app which come with G.711 by default. Overall not bad and probably one of the cheapest if you're planing to make calls over GSM on G.729 codec.

Push notification not working. I subscribed for push notification service to have the app always available, but it didn't work at all while in background. App support link goes to the website and all ads, and contact request didn't work as well. Awaiting for their response...

Great - love using it.. Very easy way to use our VOIP line and quick access to existing contacts too. Just wish there was a way for it to run in the background without draining the battery.

The app is good for the free version I am using I can tolerate it Negatives - no Bluetooth support in this day and age should be almost embarrassing Constantly having to quit and restart if I leave the app for any period of time Speaker phone is barely audible If these issue were fixed I would seriously consider paying for this app but at this stage I’ll stick with the free version

Quality & Sound Issues. Can't use in speaker mode as volume is very low & even when phone volume is sufficient this apps volume is not & no way to increase it. Often the app won't work using Wifi connection & have to turn off wifi & turn on mobile data, so end up using a fair bit of data allowance to make calls, which works out expensive to use, negating the reason for using it! Gets me out of trouble when on the road, but not ideal. Will have to use proper Voip phone when I'm within range of Wifi though, as when u just want to make a call, is frustrating having to spend time turning this & that off and on, then reversing the process when yr done! :/ Another issue I experienced is that if u receive a call to iPhone whilst on a Zoiper call, it auto puts Zoiper call on hold & would not let me take the Zoiper call off Hold, so I lost a call midway through & was unable to get back to same person, so had to start all over again & repeat myself, so lost 40 minutes on just 1 of those occasions. :/

Reliable when needed most. This app has never failed on me unlike other apps. Very useful when travel overseas and don't get access to anything but wifi.

Way too unreliable. Better off not having a sip client on the phone than have one so unreliable. Crashes itself but (prob due to iphone issues too) calls just don’t come through seemingly randomly but at least half the time. That’s after I subscribed to paid push services. Also unregistered and registers by itself and has thousands of repeat pop ups. Deleting unfortunately.

Could be better. Found that when I need to use this app instead of messenger or what's app it's alway crackly not as clear. If there was anything that could be done to make it better would be great. Otherwise it works just enough for those needed moments. :)

zoiper. zoiper works very good here, to me it is the best of the best 100%

Great but volume is too low. Works well with Australian PBX provider on iOS 15.2. Only issue is volume too low during calls. Happens when speaker mode is on and off - can barely hear the person talking. Also can’t work out if hardware or software audio mode is better on iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Best iPhone sip client. Seems to be the best of the rest, for accepting voip calls on an iPhone. Don't bother with any of the paid apps, this does it better and it's free. Also the only app that does not reject coup calls when you're on a GSM call.

Good when it works. On my home wifi it worked well making and receiving calls with default settings. On 4g network i cant make calls and when i receive calls at first i couldnt hear anything (network statistics feature was very good to show that data wasnt coming through). Randomly changing network settings i can now hear the caller. How do we sort out 401 errors so we can make calls?

Bluetooth support missing. Two very big issues in the usability factor of this app is that 1) Bluetooth connected devices are not only not used by default like the built in phone is, but also when changing source mid call to achieve the same thing, the other party only hears unintelligible noise 2) the background notifications will about 60% of the time never stop the ringtone once you miss a call. This is especially frustrating if you are in a ring group and someone else answers the call but your phone keeps ringing

Incoming call can’t wake up Zoiper after closing screen minutes later. However 5 star only when you start it up manually Push notification not working, please fix bugs for iPhone, Zoiper closed itself!

Not a great app, Shady developer with poor customer service. Decent quality audio, but I’ve now switched to another softphone app because for months Zoiper caused me nothing but headaches. The developer claims you will get the features you want such as paid upgrades for push and higher quality codecs but you’ll probably find after paying that this app is not even compatible with popular VOIP Services. And it takes customer service weeks to reply to your technical issues Don’t waste your money! There are much better options

Great- especially as we WFH. Finding Zoiper a very useful tool to communicate with our donors especially when financial information often needs to be shared. And as I work from home our donors recognize our org’s phone number and can trust me, the caller.

Push notifications are charged. You miss all your calls because the push notification is disabled on free version.

SMS unusable on iPhone 12. SMS window is not sized properly and i can’t see the messages when writing.

Does not work as intended/advertised. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. My VOIP provider recommends this app to connect my business’ toll-free number to my personal smartphone. The free version of this app is barely functional. The hoops and jumps that one must go through to receive calls through their smartphone, only to discover that there is basically no way to avoid my personal voicemail. If you don’t want a client to reach your personal voicemail, I am apparently supposed to leave the app on at all times. My VOIP provider SAYS that I can leave the app open on the background, but that is not true. The app must be the active open app on your screen, and you can’t be using your phone for any other purpose otherwise calls won’t come through. Zoiper has a setting to auto-load its app upon your phone’s start-up. Plain and simply, This setting does not work. You must open the app yourself, and you must keep the app open at all times. Finally, every time you load Zoiper you get advertisements for its paid subscription service. I finally relented and purchased the paid version (something about “push notifications”) and there is no difference at all. The app is not functional. I do not know what I am doing wrong, am at my wit’s end, and frankly feel Apple should not allow Zoiper to be sold. Perhaps I do not understand the limitations of VOIP. I am more than happy to be educated by SOMEBODY rather than being taken advantage of. Please advise. EDIT: I forgot to mention the original reason for my review... the SMS function in the app has been non-functional for weeks. If I had to guess, the keyboard is getting in the way of the text box. About two weeks ago, for the first time ever, I was looking at my phone at the exact right time and was able to accept an incoming business call. The call dropped THREE times and every time the client said he could not hear me at all (and I could not hear his answers). Finally, I called him back from my personal number and had no quality issues at all. This is simply too many issues for one app.

Cant cancel upgrade. Once you pay for subscription features, you can’t stop paying. Unless you cancel your card from iCloud and App Store, the whole 9yard.

Bit ugly but it works. Works fine but it’s got a really dated look to it — iOS 5 or 6 kind of stuff. It would be nice if they could update it for the new larger screens of the iPhone XR and XS.

Inconvenient keyboard. You will need to use 2 hands to dial number. Looks like developers had iPhone 4 when designed that keypad layout.

Push not working. It works fine when the app is open on the screen but it won't work with push notifications for calls when the app is running in the back, even with a paid subscription. Too bad 😕

I would recommended trying a better service even if you will need to pay a little bit more. Never never rely or use this app. Not at all recommended.

Bugs on iPhone 7 fixed diligently. Gr8 App !!! Click to dial no longer crashes the application on iPhone 7. Registering a SIP account is a bit of a « Hit and Miss » discovering process, but does work flawlessly.

Unregister in background. I am using the latest version on ios15 iphone 13. Unfortunately this app is not working in background. All of settings like background and notifications are checked multiple time but after opening another app the sip account will be unregister.

Bluetooth defective, and need to restart everyday. Bluetooth headsets do not work correctly (apparently this has been raised a couple of years ago with no fix) and same goes for the premium version. I had to restart the app everyday in order to correctly register... I switched to Bria. It’s paid but very low-cost and does not have the above caveat.

World compatible. Used it in Asia and more. If internet good then you can talk.

Has never been great or reliable, now can’t call at all. This thing never received calls unless I was in the app and staring at it. Usually I could make calls, just not very reliably. Now I can’t hear anything on calls. 3 out of 4 LTE bars. Juts dials and no audio. Time for a gooder app.

One annoying bug. When I get a call from “21” (extension number within our company), Zoiper thinks it’s someone in my address book whose number happens to start with 21 ( but it is a full 10-digit number). It is confusing and irritating to see this person’s name for these calls which are not related to him.

Audio stops when transitioning from cell to wifi. Not sure how ratings can be good. Can answer calls but Bluetooth switch from speaker will cause audio to drop. Older versions easily caused much feedback for other party as soon as you ran in background if on a call

I subscribed for the push services yet i dont seem to be receiving messages/calls. I dont seem to be getting calls/messages even if the app isnt open despite the push services

Application. So far I consider it a good application, let’s see how it will work in the future. If I will be satisfied in a long-run, I will write more, otherwise, if I find any issues, I will be highlighting those also.

Never works. Constantly there are technical glitches for incoming calls. Today I cannot make any outgoing calls. Also, callers say that there is echoing when I’m on a call with them. In total, I have spend more than 30 hours trying to get this app to work over the last 12 months. Not something I could ever recommend. I also had to pay and upgrade to allow the incoming calls and it took numerous emails back and forth with their help to figure out why the system would not work. Basically I have given up and don’t bother using the app unless I have to. Looking for another option.

App is OK, however why charge for free codecs?. FYI, the G729 codec’s patent (and thus the ability to charge for licensing it) expired way back in 2017. So, why are you guys still charging $7 bucks for it? Tisk tisk... not very nice (or ethical really)...

Used to be great. Nigh unusable on XR. I used to love this app but the recent version on iPhone XR is just plain useless. Almost every single tab lacks a back button, which requires me to kill the app to switch screens. It’s obvious that the developer has stopped putting in any effort. I want my $1.29 back.

Excellent waste of time. Being sure it’s professionally made and carefully checked for quality installed the app. I did not mistaken. All professional. You are as user can not distinguish its your mistake that app seems to work but in the end does nothing or it’s mistakes from the company. And yes you are under support if you pay money. But I thought money shall be paid for the app or tool get my goals but company salary for customer support.

Broken on iOS 7 devices. Worked fine for a while then stopped loading properly. No compatibility error on re-install, just won't load anymore, keeps minimizing itself, never passes loading screen.

Stay away - garbage. Paid for push notifications; still won't get call notifications if the screen is off. Waste of money

Best in store.. Clean, straight forward, feature rich, and easy to setup - you can't go wrong here. Used a Raspberry Pi and Google Voice to get a PBX server up and running, and this app lets me link it to all the cell phones in the house. Now I can make free nationwide calls, including Canada, and transfer phone calls to different cells when someone wants to talk - instead of having to give up my phone.

Zoiper. I am using Zoiper to simulate my fixed line on my iPhone. It is perfect and efficient. I strongly recommend this App.

Awesome!. Great app especially for being free! Both IAX2 and SIP work fine on an Asterisk 11 server. Sound quality is great over ulaw and gsm. Wish it had iPhone 5 support and would handle errors more gracefully. If you register an account then background the app for more then 10 minutes (API limit) it won't attempt to re-register and calls won't go through properly (monitoring asterisk console and nothing come through). The only fix is to force kill the app and start it back up. Only dock one star for the above because its the only good free VoIP app on the App Store and their desktop clients are great.

Iphone 6 s. Zopier work nice in my iphone 6s with wifi, but without wifi I mean with the company Internet doesn't work.

Unstable. Could be because I’m on dev beta, but it crashes often. Sometimes it refuses to hang up too. Also, not a big deal but there’s no support for edge-to-edge displays.

It lose the voice. I lose the voice many time and must restart the phone until voice come again

Horrible app. The incoming calls don’t transfer to the app. And you can’t have a Bluetooth device while making calls This app looks and acts as if it was designed in the early 90’s

Callcentric Problem. The app does not receive calls while in standby mode. About 2 minutes after standby it will unregistered from the provider. So far there is no work around

error please fix. The app is crashing every time i dial another call. gives me a error message of 503 over and over. it works when i dial some numbers and others gives me the exact error.

Good, but some issues are still present. Dear developer, after the latest update there is an annoying issue on the UI: when pressing the "Speaker" button during the call, the video call dialog pops out. The same happens with the digit keyboard when on the call. Also it was not possible for me to use my Bluetooth headset within this app. There is no option to send the sound via Bluetooth. Appreciate if the mentioned issues can be fixed soon, as the app is really great!

It can’t join PBX. It can’t join PBX. Zoiper on windows work fine. But on iPhone the account does not register at all although it is on the same network as the PBX I think they try to do that so people get the paid support.

Fantastic! Easy setup & works!. I installed three others before this one, could get none of them to work. Two minutes and I was making VOIP calls with voipo service! Incoming calls took a few more minutes (use STUN w/defaults except enable signaling&media). Fully functional and easy to use. Now to upgrade to the paid version just because the thing works!

No ringtone. So stupid. I have no idea why I can’t get a ringtone when it’s selected so I miss a lot of calls. The point was to not be glued to the phone or computer

Inbound calls keep ringing. I got a call and when i answered it just kept ringing. The person on the other end kept saying hello and it just kept ringing. They obviously couldnt hear me.

Never receive incoming calls. Waste of money! Never ever receive incoming calls. Do not recommend!

No Bluetooth support. Works well over all but it doesn’t work with AirPods. Half the time it doesn’t see them the other half the mic doesn’t work.

Lite version is WORTHLESS!. With the lite version you can only listen, you can’t talk. Or the app flat out doesn’t use the mike at all. And yes I granted ALL permissions to the app. As well as testing the mic.

Do not pay for push subscription!. Push service broken, developer unresponsive.

Works great. Little tricky to configure -but it allows me to Make all my calls originate Forno the office . Seamlessly.

Poor UI/UX. I wonder how Apple allows this app to still be on App Store with this stone age design. Not adapted to iPhone X and later phone screens.

Won’t save account.. I even signed up for premium but it won’t save my VOIP account for more than a couple minutes.

Stopped working. It stopped working after the last update. I can start the call, but the app freezes. I cannot do anything. Whatever I tap no response at all.

I just want a simple IAX2 based phone that works!. It is May 2016 now and I still have not seen any fixes for the following problems that I listed over 2 years ago! 1. It doesn't stay registered and I miss many calls. 2. The audio will cut out on a call so I have to close and reopen the app. 3. The app is generally very unstable and unreliable. 4. No ability to use TCP over UDP for IAX. 5. The app will often times crash and not stay running in the background which also causes me to miss incoming calls. 6. Audio gets scrambled sounding, especially for the people I'm talking to so I have to wait for about 10 seconds before I say anything else. This could be the best app of all with a little more work.

Want to always on mode like other apps. Apps always off mode, need to on for call
