Perfect!. There is not one thing I don't like about this app. As a speech therapist, I can see using this with my pediatric and adult patients. As always, I love that you can turn off success sounds and customize the stimuli. This app in particular though is ideal for teaching concepts one at a time.. And then mixing in others as they are mastered. The photos themselves are high quality and there is a huge variety of concepts available. A very well thought out app, I will be using it daily!

Does not have the advertised feature. Does not allow to delete or add voice or picture as stated. The apps is quiet as it is, but I thought it would allow edit voice as stated.

Disappointing. It’s not learning concepts but kids have to know all those concepts to play this and there is no way to customize the questions.

Another Hit!. Your apps continue to be amazing! I love the photos, and my students always benefit from the variations you provide in your questions.

Loving It!. I'm a speech-language therapist and work on concepts everyday with my autism students. This app is great because I can select specific concepts or assess many at a time. It's true . . . There are no other ones this great! Thank you

Absolutely love these apps. These have helped me with teaching the most difficult areas of learning. My students have learned from the app and show each other they have learned by sharing the information.

Good for descrimination. Like the app for students who are struggling with paper and pencil activities. I can see some students learning opposites and directionality with this, just wish it could be custom able for limited tries to get a result to record score for data purposes. Maybe it will come with the pay version, but in the meantime I will still use it with my kindergarten/first grade student.

No audio!!!. Downloaded this app a while ago, but haven’t used it. The photos are great, but there is no audio and therefore no instructions!!! I deleted and reinstalled it but no difference. 😡

Lynne SLP. This App is great fun and very motivating for my pre-k and disabled language students. I only wish I could control the speed of the items as it moves quickly! Definitely recommend as a motivator.

Great app!. I can see many different ways to use this app. I think that limited English proficient students will benefit from all the language while developing their listening and speaking skills. I feel that this app. can be used with resource students that need to learn many of these concepts. Also any young child will benefit from learning these important skills.

Needs more pictures within categories. Nice app but limited usefulness due to having so few pictures in each category. Children could memorize correct answers quickly. Should have a way to add user's pictures for more variety. App should start with hint words on. I could not understand the game until I went into settings and turned on hint words. Would rather see base game with fewer categories and many more pictures in each category.

joyful. I really like this app. When working with children that have difficulty in the area of concepts this app teaches the children the receptive part of learning the concepts, which later they are able to express the concept. Thank you for your support in the learning education of our children.

Great apps. I have a kid with autism, and this helps a lot. We are able to practice different concepts. I am also able to change the setting to adjust it to his level. I recommend this to anyone especially for kids who have trouble understanding concepts.

Another fantastic app from Grasshopper. Apple should feature your reading and writing apps in the education section. I agree that you could make a fantastic preposition app (e.g like the Montessori game with the ping pong ball and the basket).

Great app, just needs proofing for consistancy. Love the app and the concept. The biggest thing I noticed was inconsistancy in the voice prompts and wrong answer. Sometimes it would request you to touch the item, other times it only said the item's name. Also, sometimes the bell didn't sound when the wrong answer was selected. At first I thought my son wasn't touching them quite right, but when I played with the app, I found the problem to still be there on some of the questions. LOVE the variety of categories. It did give me an idea that may be beneficial to children who do best with shorter prompts, to have an option to choose the length of the prompt (i.e. Long "Touch the biggest cat" or for short "Biggest Cat")

Another useful and interesting App!. All the apps from this company are useful and engaging for children in my speech therapy practice. In fact, my summer school students are using this right now.

Photo Touch Concepts. I am a practicing SLP in the school setting and I buy many apps; but this is the first time I have ever bothered to write a review. I ABSOLUTELY love this app. It's a good tool to evaluate, increase student awareness, and teach concepts that will be utilized within the classroom setting. With demands for test taking starting earlier and earlier, this is a great way to help prepare our little kiddos for what's ahead. Now all you need to do is add space for student name, data collection for each concept and percentage of correct/incorrect responses that can be saved and shared (email). Also add a place to take notes. Thx This is an awesome app!!!!!!!

Loved by a this SLP!. A great app for receptive training of concepts, with engaging photos and a wide variety of concepts ranging from easy to advanced! I use it with children in preschool through elementary school!

Photo touch concepts. I have been waiting for a good concepts app. This is great to asset to have. The concepts are a little harder than the basic beginning ones but they are great for the little older child and can be set to emphasize only one concept at the time.

Mommy and teacher. Perfect for my three-year-old. I think of the concepts that are too easy as fun successes for her, and if she learns something from the harder concepts that's terrific.

Nice app great concepts needs a little tweaking. I like the app and I certainly think my children will benefit from it but it needs some clean-up. Error sound didn't always work; there were several times that he pictures contained 2 correct answers (choose the animal with a fin and the was a shark and another fish); some concepts used very subjective pictures ( choose the most expensive car, needs different pics) and a few others. Fix these few minor things and it will be really good.

Great for Speech Pathologist. I'm using this app with pre-school aged students recieving speech and language services. This is a great app to teach them concepts as well as to teach them prepositional phrases. It's great that you can edit which concepts to teach, since I see young children I can take out some of the harder concepts. Overall great app!

Great!. Good, clear pictures. Love being able to turn on and off different categories to work on. I hope it will be able to be customied.

Left Right Needs Work. So far, I think it is a great app overall. In settings, you can choose to work on only the concept(s) you want. However, the company needs to do some serious thinking and work on their left/right category. There is a world of difference between working with what is on the left and what is on the right compared with what is facing/pointing left or right. I wanted to work with left/right with my son in this app, but having instructions as complicated as "Touch the child facing right" is so ridiculously confusing that I don't dare even try left/right with him. It would be nice to have two things to choose from in options: beginners left/right and advanced left/right. And, when they want the child to touch the item facing/pointing left or right, they need to stack the pictures on top of each other so that neither is ON the left or right. Finding the app be so inflexible was so disappointing. I don't know if there are similar types of problems in any of the other categories.

Great!. I love everything about this app. As an SLP I use it all the time. Sometimes I change the initial purpose a little bit, and then I directed it to reach my own goals!!

Wonderful!. Love the pictures! This app would be good to use with ESL students and for a speech therapist to use with children having difficulty with language concepts. Being able to customize would be nice.

Great app!. The versatility of this app is my favorite feature. I appreciate that I can choose specifically which concepts each of my special needs students practice. Is there any chance that a 'student report' feature will be added? That would be very helpful for IEP data collection!

Great app!. I was pleasantly surprised by all the concepts covered by this app. And the fact that you can turn the different ones on and off as your child grows is a bonus. My three year old really enjoys this one.

Very Good!. I really like this app for the photo and audio quality. I also really appreciate the ability to select the concepts for a particular individual from the settings. The app includes a broad assortment of concepts of various difficulty levels. There are a few more concepts that I hope will be coming in future updates. Nice work!

Unique and much-needed app!. I really wanted a concepts app to use with my special needs child. This app delivers really well. The ability to focus on just one or a few concepts at a time has really helped him master each concept. I have many Grasshopper apps on my iPad and they do some great work and their customer service is responsive. Would love to see Grasshopper create an app totally devoted to prepositions, I know they'd do a top notch job!

Great for comprehension practice. Love the variety of concepts and nice quality pictures. It would be even better if it had a data tracker, even just a simple number correct/total.

I agree with the review #7. The app is good for learning many concepts, but there were times when the sound for the incorrect answer didn't work. There were also times when there were two correct answers, which may confuse rather than teach the concept. Overall, I did like the realistic pictures and that a child would have to use listening skills to complete the task. Sometimes the app would repeat the exact same picture sequence very shortly after you just had that one, but the concept taught are right in line with many things that early learners are working on.

Fun & helpful. This is a good app for learning concepts. Best feature is the settings that allow you to choose and target from a very large variety of concepts. Would be great if you could have users and compile data!!!!

Great!. This a great App to teach and reinforce various concepts. I like the fact that you can record your own voice for the correct responses. My grandson recorded several. I would like for there to be a point in the app where the child has a certain number of correct responses to accomplish and then given some kind of reward.

Useful app. I am an SLP and often work with my students on these concepts. This would be good for the young child, maybe up to kindergarten. Would love to see more linguistic concepts for the older child, but this is still very useful!

Kids Learning - Photo Touch Concepts. I use this with my special needs son. It is filling in many of the concepts he is having trouble with. The clear photos are excellent! It would be great if I could also customize this app.

No way to keep score. This app has a lot of concepts, but how do you score it? I saw no way to end a session, and if you hit home there was nothing to tell you how you did. There was no score tabulated. Did I miss something?

SLP. Beautiful photos and an impressive collection of concepts. I love having the ability to record my own messages, too. Some of the tasks could be improved by asking a question instead of just stating the concept to be identified.

Love it!. I'm a speech language pathologist and use this app to teach and assess concepts and even vocabulary. If you turn off the sound, you can modify the task to provide more practice with certain concepts that the child needs to work on. After Christmas, many parents are asking for suggested apps and this is one I suggest for students working on concepts.

ALWAYS CHECK SPELLING/GRAMMATICAL ERROR. Please correct "QUITE ROAD" to QUIET ROAD. While this game isn't geared for spelling and grammar, it should always matter. Kids recollection are far better than they're given credit for.

Great app!. Anything that helps special needs children learn needful information is awesome! I work with children with down syndrome and austism! This app will make my job easier for them to understand and use! Thank you very much!

Awesome. Great learning tool for Kids with language delays. Please add more variety for each concept addressed. My kids have already memorized all the same/different sequences.

Great!!. This app incorporates so many concepts! Even if your child hasn't learned about all of them yet, this will be a great tool to introduce them to the various concepts! If/when it becomes customizable it will be even more fun!

Concepts app. I like the app a lot, but would prefer that the concepts be more developmentally organized. Some are early (easy) learned, mixed with later developing concepts. This makes some too Hard for young kids and some too easy for older kids.

Good but.... I wish it would actually play my voice. Whenever my little sister gets an answer wrong, she expects to hear something, but it's silent. I recorded my voice a several times and it doesn't work. I tried changing how I said it and the caption, but it still didn't work. 

Great for working on basic concepts.. This app repeats question and allows the child to process the question again. My version played a noise for the incorrect concept so that was helpful too. Great app for language delayed children.

Speech pathologist. I really like this app and use it a lot with my cognitive impaired (CI) caseload in the schools. I hope that some day you're able to add a data feature on this in the future...then it would be perfect for my students!

Great early learning concepts. Love that you can customize it to teach one concept at a time eg left and right or above and below OR practice them all mixed up:)

great app. I love this app especially because you can customize it. I would give it 5 stars if there was a break in questioning every 20 questions of so with some very simple game to encourage the child. the child I am using it for has Down Syndrome and will tire easily without something else to do. the positive affirmations will not be enough to engage him long. The concepts it teaches however are varied and easily understood. thank you for this app and keep up the good work.

No sound!. Would have been great, but the sound doesn't function, so you have no idea WHAT your child should be selecting.

Congratulations, nothing but the best!. Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou.. Love being able to customise this to practice one concept at a time and then blend in others as appropriate, no matter the age. Being able to use ones own voice or even the child's is fantastic. A great addition would be some kind of statistics to monitor which concepts have been mastered and which could do with more work. Maybe a chart with star or graphic rewards or a small game or song to mark achievement to encourage a longer attention span.

Excellent for teaching basic concepts. This app, like others in this range, is excellent for teaching basic concepts in an entertaining way. One thing I would consider is whether you want subjective comparisons such as Ugly or Pretty. If not, they can be turned off in settings.

Great looking APP. As always great graphics and presentation. Love the pictures, colours, and the concepts. Great to have the flexibility to upload our own pictures and to play different game modes.

The sound does not work. Would have given it a 4 or even 5 stars if the sound was working... Hopefully the developers fix it quick, and i can revisit to give them their rightful rank...

Have Fun While Learning!. Another great app! My kids are always asking if there are anymore of these apps they can play! Having fun and learning at the same time is awesome! With the different settings it makes my kids want to play the game over and over again!

Not impressed with “Pretty vs Ugly”. I downloaded this for my three year old as I loved the idea of teaching these very important concepts. I tried it out before introducing it to her. I was shocked when I was asked, “Which is the pretty face?” My three year old sees the beauty in everyone and everything (as most young children do). I have disabled the “pretty and ugly” category in the settings. I look forward to introducing this to her later today to see what she thinks.

Lots of practice. Pretty good app if you set up for specific concepts. No target number of trials so continues endlessly for maximum practice. Would be helpful if it tracked student data.

Concepts - ok. Great game for learning concepts, although there are quite a range of concepts in the game: " find the pink hat" and then " find the omnivore". Maybe too wide a range?

Wonderful app!!!. What can I say? This app is terrific!!! The description of this app is 100% accurate. I REALLY like being able to customize the success & error sounds especially being able to add your own in your voice. However, I must say that they included so many sounds that I can't think of anything off hand that I'd add. Plus, there are so many more success messages than there are error messages. Kids need praise & such a variety sounds much more genuine & realistic even to me as an adult. A person can only take so many "good jobs" before it becomes boring. I also like the fact that there are differences in the types (species/breeds) of the animals. For example, there are two different breeds of dogs, but dogs nonetheless. A little constructive criticism though. 1) there are pics of animals AND insects but they're all called animals 2) the app doesn't give the names of the animals & there are some "uncommon" animal pics used (ex. scorpion, chicken, rooster, walrus, dragonfly, etc.) 3) most, if not any, of the "uncommon" animals & insects aren't used in the questions & 4) I know that 1 question can be confusing to a child (& to some adults, I'm sure). some of the questions can be confusing. It asks which animal breathes under water. Two of the 3 choices are a fish & a whale. A child would have to know what a mammal is & that a whale is a mammal & fish aren't even though both live in the water. Despite those few easily correctable criticisms that I have, this is a great app.

No sound. Is there an issue with the app regarding the sound? No sound even if the sound is enabled in the setting.

Individualize. You need a feature that allow individualization for different students and saves their data. It is great except for that.

Too easy. I bought this app in hopes that it would be a little more challenging for my daughter, but it was too easy. If they had a more difficult version, it would be great!

Good for esl. I teach esl and this App helps my students a lot. Good way to practice key words and concepts they encounter in class/tests.
