SLP-approved. This is a great app for sentence assembly tasks! I love the customizability! I would like to be able to turn off the clue that tells you how many tiles are in each word at the bottom. If you don't cover them up it can just turn into a matching game.

Good, could be better. Great app with lots of ability to customize it, but it needs options that could make it useable for higher level, language needy students. Or make a 2nd app with that in mind. I modify and then also cover the bottom so the kids can't see the word outlines...can you help this as a first step? Pls design more apps for higher level needs...these kids grow and continue to need support. Move up the continuum. THANKS!

Great pictures. My students really like the pictures, especially the cute animals. I love that I can choose the levels for them.

Very nice. This app is very nice. For the next update I would like to see periods at the end of the sentences and an option for the first word of a sentence to be capitalized. I would also love to have an option that doesn't have boxes to match the number of letters in words, as my students just try to match the number of boxes to the number of letters in a word rather than really reading the words.

Decent. The app is ok. However, it allows the words to be placed out of sequence. This can create a behavior if you tell the child "try again" or "fix sentence". I think it would be better if it didn't allow child to place words out of sequence. Please change ASAP.

Go to settings!. This app is great. So customizable. I use it daily with my early language learners.

Teacher and Mom. This app is a great transition from single words to combining words to form sentences and then to independent writing. My kids love this!

SML. Great app! User friendly, can be modified to meet individual needs. Needs more sight words and simple words for a new reader to build their confidence. I added them myself. This is just what my son with autism who is struggling with all concepts of reading needed to reinforce sentence building. It would be nice to have every sentence start with a capital letter and to be able to add punctuation at the end of every sentence.

Good app. Overall, I love the setup and customization of this app but I would change two things: 1. The option to show punctuation 2. Capitalize the first letter of the sentences. I think adding those two items would make this the complete package for making sentences!

Loving this one!. I really appreciate that this is customizable! I have a child with scattered skills and non verbal. I am able to set up "all about me" sentences and he is GETTING it! It is a wonderful app on many levels. Right away he was able to work though creating sentences and translate it to the word wall we have in place. Awesome app! Very useful in the classroom and learning social statements. I have lots of ideas to use this one with!

Great. I love this app but an an additional modification would be to turn off the letter spaces at the bottom, to make it a bit harder. Right now the student can just count the letters and pick the right word that way. Just make an equal space for each word.

Great. Thanks. I have been looking for one like this for my autistic daughter. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some words get hidden under others. I like the option to turn off tile magnet and wish that was on your other apps.

LOVE GRASSHOPPER!!!!. The fact that all of their apps are customizable makes playing and learning more fun for my son. You can use family pics and other pics your child likes to make it more special for them. My son loves it even more now that I add custom pics of him.

Great App. This app is very helpful because the pictures are clear and fun, and the sentences are simple to construct. There are numerous options to customize which is invaluable. My only suggestion (like another reviewer) is to make the "destination" tiles the same number of letters or just a slot of some type for the child to drag to. Currently my child often counts the number of letters of the "destination" tiles to see if they will fit instead of making sure the words are in the right order.

Hope School. This app is great. My little pk students are learning to put words together to make sentences. We read a new book every two weeks. For example, this week we are reading Brown Bear Brown Bear. I am able to take all the pictures from the book and make sentences. Awesome.

Nice addition to grasshopper app family. I like this app for my kindergarten students. I would love the app, if it included capitalization at the beginning of the sentence and punctuation at the end. Thanks for making quality affordable apps!

Sentence maker. Some of the words are hidden behind other words and cannot be seen. Instead of bouncing the whole phrase, perhaps do one word at a time, then all together for a word and phrase recognition. I like the visual stimulation. Yolanda

Great. Wish the font could be bigger is the only down side son is doing the same thing in school He is saying the sentence then cutting and paste we bring it home and put it on the app...

Another great one!. Another great app from this company! My son is getting so much help from this app. Love the ability to customize and add. One change I would like to see is to have only the first word of the sentence be capitalized. Other than that I love it!

Very appealing for nonverbal ASD child!. From the sound effects, being able to customize to my child’s interests, and the bargain price. I recommend this app to promote literacy for any child of all abilities.

Creative SLP. I LOVE this app! 💙💛💜💚❤ Yesterday I built a set of custom sentences for a student in 15 minutes using Google images. Then, during the speech session, I took a picture of my student and immediately added another sentence to her game. What could be easier than that!?!

My girls love this!. My girls and I really love this app as well as all the others from this great company. Keep up the good work! Just one suggestion, can you incorporate a bit of everything into one app? This would make learning a little easier instead of having to constantly switch between all the different apps.

Awesome. I like this app. a lot. I work with special needs children and I can use their spelling words to make sentences. I feel by using this program and being able to use the words they are learning, it will help my group to read as well as remember their spelling words better. I think that is AWESOME.

Settings adjustment DOES NOT WORK!. It was a great app until you couldn't do any adjustments in the settings!!!! Very frustrating when using it for a student, even they were frustrated!

Awesome!. This is a fabulous app for teaching students with moderate intellectual disability to understand words-make up thoughts-are sentences! Wish I'd have found this app earlier! 99 cents is a steal!

A good learning support!. A great learning tool for special needs. I have had my students use this to show understanding of stories they have read. We took pictures from the book and they had to retell the story in their own words.

Good app. First, I like this app and will use it at school with Kindergarteners. I like the graphics but I wish they used complete sentences with punctuation. Also, I like that you can change the capital letters but wish they would capitalize only the words that require capital letters. Overall, it will be an asset to our learning!

Great!. It is great for those kids who already know the words, but sometimes don't know how to organize them in a sentence. It is about the structure. I love it.

joyful. This app uses real pictures, which I like. I like the way the words are put together and leaves room for the child to finish the sentence on their own.

Sentence Maker. I use this for special education students and have found it invaluable. This not only supports students with Autism as well as students who have Specific Learning Disabilities. The fact that photos can be added to support specific student needs is a great feature. Students can record their own voices and this makes it very engaging and supports language development.

Love it. Grasshopper has done it again---another meaningful, functional, educational app that is intuitive for both users: the child and the adult that is able to customize so easily. I am an SLP, this is a perfect app to begin the hierarchy of phonological awareness.

Another great Grasshopper app!. This is great! I'm sure that my students will love "playing" this -- and I'll love that they are building fluency and vocabulary! One suggestion: I would really like for the first word in the sentence to be capitalized and for each sentence to have punctuation since we really try to teach children that each sentence needs to start with a capital letter and end with some type of punctuation. My son loves it!!. This is what I was looking for to help my son with his speech. He took well to the process and I can see how this is gonna help him with his speech. I like that I will be able to add my own words will be including Spanish words so he can learn them. Nice job like this app!!

Sentence Maker. Love this app. My special needs son is learning to read by memorizing the words so this works like a charm. I hope you will offer more complicated sentences as he advances. Love the clear uncluttered photos. I would suggest highlighting each word as the final sentence is read.

Suggestion. It's a helpful app for my students who are emerging readers. The only problem is that the audio/speaker reads the whole sentence too fast after the words have been matched. I hope the app makers can give us an option to have control on this portion. .

Best children's app company period!. Make no mistake, any one of the apps from this company would make a difference in any child's life by teaching them so many skills early on, but this company just keeps making one after another! This one is right up at the top of the list as well. We have at least a dozen of the apps from this company, so each one teaches my children something new while being laid out in a format that is immediately familiar. The end result is my girls open the app and already know how to work the app while it teaches them something in a unique skill area. Pure genius! Great for everyone. Anybody having difficulty putting sentences together, this is great. Helping kids to put in the right order. Great for learning English to see right order for sentences. Great for special needs kids. Plus kids starting school. Best advantage for parents & teachers is choosing the sentence structure & length before the start. Well done.

Amazing. As an early childhood teacher this app is a godsend! This is something we have children doing constantly when learning about sentence structure and beginning reading. I got the original and wished it came with a capital letter at beginning and full stop at the end. I was so excited with the update that did just that! It will be getting a great workout in my classroom. Thankyou

Great classroom potential. Love this app! Yo make it really useful for teachers you just need to have the capacity to have a capital on the first word in the sentence, lower case on the rest and full stop at the end of the last word or sentence. A child friendly font such as chalkboard would also be nice.

Nice concept teaching. Easy to use little app that teaches the concept of using groups of letters to make words to make sentences. Ties in well with similar apps for making words and like all grasshopper apps is really customizable.
