Good. Sometimes this makes the pic turn out perfect

Pleasantly surprised!. I didn’t remember I had this app and was about to delete it from my phone bc from description and screenshots it didn’t seem like anything I needed. Ends up it’s actually a nice app. Get the hang of it quickly because it gives you so many preset filters which are all actually interesting. Maybe 7 categories and each category has 10+ variations. obv then u can edit those also infamy ways by changing the layers and all the other details but these preset file tees are super nice. I’m not an artsy person and usually don’t see the point of destroying photos but all these presets really get your mind and ideas flowing. Anyway, I’m happy I reopened the app before deleting it because I was not expecting this and its for sure a keeper for me. Excellent job guys thank you.

Easy to tweak. It is so easy and inexperienced to tweak my photos with all of these apps from this developer.

Funtastic. I enjoy using this app because it transforms plain photos into creative art. More color or hue options would be great, as well as color swapping. Additionally, increasing the pixels on the saved refurbished photo is ideal. As it is, its fun for the phone, maybe not qualified to print with low resolution.

Visionary Imagery in My Palm!. I can spend hours in Photoshop playing around to get so many effects, and here is a super app that does it on the fly! I've used it on streamed images from my home computer that I get on the Cloud. How great is that?! I'd give this app 10 stars if I could.

Fun, creative app!. I have a ton of photo editing apps and this is one of my new favs! The effects are very customizable and the possible combinations are practically limitless.

Amazingly Easy Professional Effects. So many effects. Extremely artistic and dramatic. Easy to use. Highly recommended.

I liked this app.... Wish that they would be more up front about the additional filters costing more, but still there is plenty to do here without it having to cost you more. Perhaps spending a few extra $ for more filters could be worth it. Basically, I think it's a fun app and a good addition to your photo app collection.

Another great JixiPix app!. I use this both on my Mac and iPad. iPad version doesn't have as many options as the desktop one but still gives good choices. I use other JixiPix apps more than this one, but like this one when I want something unique. I recommend all their apps.

The app many of us have waited for!. I think we have a winner! Grungetastic has many features that iPhoneographers have craved in similar apps for some time now. In addition to the randomizer and presets for effects, Grungetastic has a superb set of manual controls that allow for a great range of control over the image. Two wishes for future updates: pinch zoom ability to better see the effect on the image; built-in masking to allow for masking out areas of the image. Otherwise, I think this is the texture app to beat!

Wow! Great app!. I feel like a super star with the photos I'm making of myself. A very fun and creative app. Lots of room to play, yet easy to use. I stumbled upon it and I'm glad I bought it. It is as Grungetastic as it sounds!

Great, creative fun!. I got this app free a couple days ago and have been playing with it ever since. (I got it free, but gladly would have paid a buck!) I like to take pictures of strange, creepy things, and this app makes everything stranger and creepier! This can make a boring snap shot into something worth looking at. Non-stop creative fun. My only slight complaint is that it doesn't seem to reset to a "blank canvas", by which I mean the setting from the previous photo will be applied to the next photo you import. Maybe this will be something they resolve. Worth buying! I'm going to have to get the updates.

Art director's pocket creativity. Love this great little app. It's like a mini Photoshop in my pocket. Especially when combined with other iPhone photo effects apps. Totally worth it!

Still one of the best. One of the first photo apps I downloaded and still one of the best. Easy, intuitive, beautiful results.

More contrast or light. It's a great app to add texture, positive and negative space, and dimension. The only but that I have is that it makes the pics too dark. Maybe on your next update you can add a button with more contrast. Other than that, the app.

An App for the Ages!. This app is amazing! There are endless options to create. I will never take a picture again without sending it through Grungetastic.

Good, but.... It's great if you just want to totally trash an image. But if you're looking for a grunge app that allows for some subtlety or a big range of adjustment, look elsewhere. This app has a very heavy hand and is only good for blows with a blunt object. It would be great if the developers could give us some leeway for the "less-is-more" approach.

Perfect finishing touch. I love using this app to add a border to my photos. Really makes them look complete.

You did good!. Your app is fun! It allows for creativity! It gives me a lot of pleasure seeing what Pixar Directors probably visualize when making movies.

Good app. I just started using this, and I like it a lot. Lots of options, and I have control of plenty of features.

Get Lost in grunge in a good way!. I'm not sure what others mean about no ability to control heaviness etc. I love getting lost in this world of endless combos & the ability to control levels of each effect as well as colors. Love this app!

Nice tool in the toolbox. Yes, an Undo button would be welcome. I also like the simple opacity slider every effect has on Scratchcam better than the way Grungetastic does it. But those are minor quibbles. Nice app to go with all the other great ones by this developer.

Terrible and confusing IAP practices. A bunch of the filters and textures in the app (including ones that are used for randomly generated effects) are locked behind IAP (in-app purchase). You know when the app TELLS you that you've picked a locked effect? When you try to save a completed project. Shoddy UI and a shady business practice.

Fab grunge!. Even if you don't like to get down & dirty yourself with each filter's choices, Grungetastic makes it easy with the roll of the dice! Super fun & fab results.

A Favorite. Fantastic photo app. All the work is done. You just get to play to tweak your image. It's magic. I love it.

Very cool camera/picture effects app!. Wow, I'm sure not a pro or even amateur photographer but I know I can play with this app and take some pictures at a place I have in mind that might have some perfect backgrounds and scenery that along with this app might just produce some very Pro quality pictures. How's that for a run on sentence? :) At any rate I would think that this app would be a no brainer for anyone even the least bit interested in photography. In reading some of the reviews I can see that this proves true for more than I would have thought and today, for at least a little while longer its FREE! Yes, they do have stuff to buy as add-ins to the program but with the programmability of this app, it should keep someone busy for quite a while just learning the ins and outs of it let alone adding more specific styles, etc. All in all I believe this app will be one of my very favorite non game apps and/or camera apps and I have been trying out a lot of camera apps lately. Get it now!

Universal. I love buying the same app twice.

Another win for this developer. Everything I would or could expect from this developer! Fabulous is too weak a word for the results I am able to achieve using their apps, including this one. The ability to control every aspect of the effects is incredible. With the wonderful presets and the randomize button, you need do almost nothing to get an amazing photo.

Unbelievable!. I have many photo edit apps. Some are good. Many are lame. This is cutting edge stuff. Grungetastic is far and above ANY that I have. The multitude of choices is fabulous and I love the dice button and instant go back. It’s obvious these developers spent a lot of time developing this app. Totally awesome. Totally professional. Can’t say enough good about it!

Unimpressive.. This is a large application. It is 116MB?!? Why so big? The filters/effects are sub par too. Yes, it has a plethora of controls to change effects, tone, strength, etc, but all the grunge filters are just terrible. It looks like cheap animation and not grunge at all. My review may seem subjective but try "Pic Grunge" app to understand my point. That app is much better overall. the effects look surreal and the controls and UI are better. It's only .99 cents and isn't a memory hog like Grungetastic. I'm glad Grungetastic was free to download today. It's staying off my iPhone for now. I hope for updates that may change my review. 2 stars because this app had potential.

Love this app. I take my usually unusable pics, run them through here and come up with some outstanding results. I like that you can tweak out the effects or roll like William H Borroughs and see what you end up with.

Great way to make artistic photos even better. Title perty much says it all, but if you have an eye for photography, this helps make your good photos even better, either just distorting them or buy adding more emotion with color and texture that you could never get in a traditional lab.

Grunge. A lot of ability to express creativity, easy to use, you don't have to be a pro to get pro reults

Awesome & fun!. Have several of their apps and plan to get them. Each one gives PLENTY of artistic control. Each aspect can be adjusted. I click on randomize and when I find one I really like, I tweak it to my satisfaction. Great app!

Funtastic. Nice, works well.. A little slow for full Rez, but for the price, I shouldn't really complain. Can't wait to get this for my iPad, and then I'll really have something fun to do at work..

App Admin: Harmonica SuperTutor. I am so looking forward to incorpoating these effects into upcoming app updates. The ability to "find that look" and save it's presets is a wonder and and a joy.

Premium treatments in random fx?. Tell me if I've missed something... The "dice" button for random treatments is producing results with premium add-on fx. Only by tapping save do I find out that the filter can be purchased for $.99? Bad form. Let me use what I paid for uninterrupted. If I want to buy more functionality I'll let you know, cool? As is, it's wasting my time, irritating enough to warrant avoiding the app altogether.

Awesome!. Fantastic image control with this little app called Grungetastic. The only thing I would like to see if the ability to stack multiple borders when creating your grunge. One of the better iPhone photo apps around. Great job

Dr PJV. I am a serious amateur photographer with more than a few gold medals in my collection. My equipment equals among the best. But then I discovered this product and all of a sudden my creative mind was blown. There is no way I can do what this application does in the time and with the ease! No way, and so I became an addict of this tool. Last point, 10 out of 10 from me for the best download I made to date. I plan to get each and every variation of it. Well done, developers!

Good but i found a problem. I really love this app, the effects rock, but ive noticed a re occuring problem when i try to change the color of txtures and borders and hit apply, it stays on the previous color and DOES NOT change, i even tryed using different photos and it still did not work, PLEASE FIX THIS FAST BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE ITS HOLDING MY EDITING BACK ):

Amazing and Addictive!. This is an absolutely amazing and addictive app. The results are beautiful and the ability to randomly vary is endless. You can take your own or use an existing photo and once you begin to apply the effects you'll have trouble stopping. The user interface is excellent as well and is simple and intuitive. The look of the effects is very organic and real. One of the best imaging software out there.

Dislike!. There is not enough fine-tuning in this App to make the quality of images that I need. The interface is clunky, the presets are junky. Avoid. There are much better Apps out there. Try Distressed FX and see what a great App is like.

So Cool!!!!. I've had so much fun playing around with this app. I could poke that little randomizer button all day. I've already uploaded several fun pics to my Facebook page. Definitley worth the 99 cents.

Great Photo APP. Turns normal everyday pictures into something unique, was worth the buy.

New version not working correctly. It shouldn't muck with my picture until I've applied something.... It shouldn't change a picture just in the process of opening it and getting it ready to edit.... Which means the presets need an amount setting so you can dial in how much of the preset you want, just like you dial in how much of the grunge you want..... It's a major Achilles' heel in the app...... The presets are too strong to use which can ruin your picture from the start, while many of the textures are fantastic...... So frustrating to have an app that's 95% great, but the 5% kills it.

Grungetastic is fantastic!. Great app, some very cool effects all bundled into the one app, only issue is when cropping a square image the controls are over the top of base of image and I can't free transform crop. Need to fix that

Quirky and Fun. The effects are really great. Some are quite different compared to many around. Keep it coming!

Get Grungy. A great way to get grungy. This app is one of the best for adding a stressed, mutilated, or stained look. There are a few interface problems so I subtracted a star. It would be nice • for the presets screen to have a 'My favorites' section where all your customized presets appear • to be able to (easily) apply only borders as they are the finest ripped, burnt & tortured borders I've seen so far • rotate & scale the grunges & borders to offer more variety (90deg would be fine)

Pretty good. Does what it claims. Has plenty of bells and whistles.... Sometimes you get junk and sometimes a winner-this is the second one. I think with a few tweaks this one could make it to five stars very easily. It could use some more frames and splatter (web and glass cracks?) and a more neon feel when put light on dark but that's just me... Q: why are we still paying more for these apps when the American $ is lower than ours?

Fun apps. Fun to play with

Incredible Customization!. I love this app because of how much you can customize your shots with it. I definitely spend a lot more time on an edit with it than I do with other programs because you can tweak things so much. I don't mind the rendering speed, it's like 10-15 secs so it's no big deal. If I had one complaint it's the fact that to get all the effects it costs an extra $4 which is a little pricey in my opinion.

Lots of choices, but don't overdo it!. A fun app, with lots to play around with. Choices are great, but know that it's easy to overdo the effects. Even one change to a photo can be remarkable, so sometimes all I do in this app is import a photo and apply a subtle border. If this app were faster, I'd give it 5 stars.

UNBELIEVABLY SLOW!!. The folks at JixiPix Software, creators of this and many other apps, need to review the conception and the functioning of their applications, because it has a major handicap. Here’s why: I bought Grungetastic and Simply HDR, and they both have an EXTREMELY SLOW rendering process. It’s non-understandable. Even when simply saving the final processed shot, it takes FOREVER!! Unbelievably annoying!

So awesome!. Makes art. My one request is that the mbs be reduced if possible with update. Developer should reward loyal customers with no in app purchases. Please unlock "extra" grunge packs. Deleting due to enormous file size and 4$ more to complete app. Snapseed is the way to go.

very disappointing. does NOT let you add only grunge borders. The control sliders DO NOT CONTROL effects. After this app HIJACKS your image, there is little you can do to control the AMOUNT of filter on your photos. It is extreme grunge or nothing. BUYER of this app has NO CREATIVE CONTROL!

Rip Off. I PAID for this app some time ago. Fast forward to today when I opened it and tried to save a picture. Now they want more money to use a filter I already purchased. I'm deleting this garbage and not buying anything else from this developer. ZERO STARS.
