Crap / Improperly advertised. Another fake night vision app. Does NOT do what it claims. iPhone camera provides better nighttime images — meaning far more detail and clarity — than this “ true night vision” app. Simply DOES NOT WORK as night vision.

don't be fooled by the name. don't be fooled by the name the name your iphone doesn't have real night vision. this app emulates night vision and actually lets you use your camera in low light situations where normally the camera would be rendered useless. for that i give it 5 stars

Does not do its job. There is nothing true about I recommend not getting this it's a waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works as stated. I just purchased the app to try it out. It does appear to work quite well. Similar to changing the ISO speed on a DSLR. For best results you need to have the camera very steady, just like any camera in low light conditions.

Crap. Not worrth anything they should pay us 99 cents to buy it. It's junk

Don't waste your money. Does not work. I have hundreds of apps. Just another one to delete. Don't believe the 5 star lies. It's just the developer and their friends pumping it up. See what happens when a bad review is left its covered by a bunch of fake 5 star reviewers. The dev and thier friends. I know because this app is trash. I'm using an iPhone 4s. It can't even recognize in medium light. The iPhone camera app is better on photos.

Not Bad. Not a bad novelty app. 'Sees' much more than the iPhone camera for the rare occasion when you might need to document something in extremely low light.

Great. Get this app. This is not a waste of money at all. I compared it with the regular camera and this is way better. Worth $0.99!!!

Worse than normal camera on 5s. Can't zoom, can't enhance, can't adjust anything other than tap to add weird filters. All shots are grainy. Normal camera blew them away. Bummed cuz was so hopeful after eHow's review but it's nothing like that. I got suckered too. Shoot.

Garbage - does not work. This app does not do what the pictures show. They must have an IR blaster behind them to get them to look that way. Waste of money.

Wow!!!. I don't know why people are giving bad review on this app? Works great! I couldn't believe!!! It does get blurry if you move the phone but wow download and see for yourself awesome!

Night vision. Incredible! Found it on my iPhone one night after I found one of my dogs using her new pillow I had gotten for her that day. It was dark with only the small tv on. After turning the night vision on the picture I took was bright, clear and perfect!

Works with a little light. This works in the dark BUT there has to be a little light for it to work, you can actually buy a night vision attachment for your iPhone that is the real deal

Works very well!. Just downloaded the app, and it does indeed work as intended. True, the GUI can use some work, and an in app tutorial section would make it much easier to learn. But it still isn't hard to figure things out. Great job!

Bad bad dosent work. Very bad i lose the money

Yes it does work!. This DOES WORK with low light. Even better, it works when your taking a shot of room that has shadowed/darker areas and you want what's IN THE SHADOWS to appear in your picture! THIS app does that very well. BUT they need to add a help screen to explain what the controls do etc. Such as what's the difference between the S button & the camera button?

Bogus. Not a true night vision device, just plain silly. All of these night vision apps are a rip off.

Awesome app. It worked for me kinda slow but big improvement over normal camera.

The best one. I tried about 20 different ones and on normal mode it is the best. And then I put it on max (slow shutter) and wow. The closest thing to real night vision.

Does not really work. I downloaded this app off of the App Store and when I used I was really disappointed but I used it on a iPhone 5c if it doesn't work the best for the 5c then why even bother putting it on the AppStore for those type of phones

Actually works. This software actually works, but is limited by phone hardware. The filters are good, and the enhancement works but not for use in total darkness. Worth the 99¢ for photo effects. Good work developer, it will be interesting to see what next phone will do with newer hardware and updated software. Update: New hardware available. Will be interesting to do a side by side with 4GS and 3GS.

Worst app ever. This is the worst app ever downloaded... Do not see the reviews with 5 stars as its all done by the developer friends... It take the most crappiest picture even in broad day light.. The screenshot are all gimmicks.. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP

Waste of money. Doesn't work, plain and simple! Not worth a dollar believe it or not.

Not a good low-light camera. This app makes some things slightly clearer in certain slightly low light conditions, but it's still useless for taking photos at night. I was looking for something that would slow down the shutter speed enough to make low light photos turn out. This doesn't do that at all.

It works. The frame rate is slowed down to allow better light visibility, but the image can be blurry if you move the phone too much. Turn on max power and set the phone down... Much more will be visible than with the standard camera app. It does not allow you to see any better in darkness than with your own eyes. But, if you have a IR flashlight, it should work in total darkness... Unless there is a IR filter in the iPhone camera lens. What I wanted from this app, is the ability to take video/pics in low light, as clearly as my own eyes see things. Use screenshot w/ the home+lock buttons... No video, unfortunately.

Pretty bad!!. This app is a waste of money. It's grainy. The picture does not come in clear even when there is low light. I have an iPhone 5 and its not worth it. Oh yeah and the thermal is not a true thermal image. The pictures are not like what the description shows.

Cool effect, but don't expect too much. This app does fun things with the iPhone camera, but don't expect to use it as real night vision. It needs a fair amount of ambient light to work properly. But the developers are forthcoming with this fact, so enjoy it for what it is... a neat realtime video effect.

AMAZING APP. I use it all the time...!!!...in fact a photo taken with this app aided me in court to win a case. I fully suggest a must have and should be much more $$$ for what you get...my ONLY complaint it the photo quality with effects and zoom it starts to pixilate BaDlY but if that were fixed I'd try to give 10 *

Amazing!!!!. Works great! not easy to use, or friendly GUI, but if you play with it you can achieve great results! Hope will see better GUI in future releases... worth the price, maybe more with some improvements.

Terrible!. The only thing this app do is, put on some serious brightness to the picture so that it looks a lot better in the dark. I didn't like it!

Works fIne. I don't understand. Every night vision app has horrible reviews; they can't all be worthless. Some of the apps just give "night vision effect". Fine, they say as much. Many are free, can't complain if they don't work. NightVision works as described. It amplifies ambient light in low light conditions and has some fun effects. What more can you ask for 99 cents?

True night vision. I had this app and it was pretty cool but then I updated the app and now it won't even open. I guess you get what you pay for.

Video?. Why categorize as video when there isn’t a video option. Disappointing.

Review. This App. is the best Night Vision App. available on the Apple store. But the capture time needs Improvement takes about 5 mins. To hone in on an object while Standing still. Should add real time Capture movement, with Sound Modification Measurement. O Also some glitchin if not enough Memory on pod so be vigilant if Makein up grade. Squeeze those Kbites.

actually works OK. I have a couple night vision apps and this appears to be the only one that actually DOES enhance/lighten your images in realtime before you take the shot. there needs to be a little light in order for it to work. I don't think the controls are self explanatory so would like a help menu within the app.

Doesn't work at night. Even with infra red setup on my property this app doesn't work at night. Just a toy photo app for evening shots I guess. Call it what it is.

Give me my money back. Dosent work at all I want my money back or I'm sewing you... Or you can make it work. No wonder this app only has 15 reviews and only two and a half stars..

Useless. Doesn't work at all as advertised. Night vision appears to be just a green filter. Thermal vision only goes off light intensity and has nothing to do with temperature.

Can be better. I've been wanting to have easy access to night vision for a long time, and this app kinda succeeds but mostly fails. Whenever I turn the lights off, the picture is almost complete black, no matter what setting you're on. And the enhancement and zoom features don't work at all, also there should be a brightness setting, because once again; the picture is almost unseeable. If they release an update to fix all the things I've listed, then I could accept that.

Just a correction. You are mistaken about night vision in total darkness being impossible with iPhone. They invasively run ir light retinal scans as part of “facial recognition”. An IR STROBE which is more than capable of supporting night vision filters or integration which unbeknownst to you is how your phone opens when you look at it in complete darkness try it sometime. Don’t touch your phone just set it in front of you. Have a security camera that has night vision watch your interaction with the phone. Then just look at your darkened screen. Don’t touch it just look at it. You’re assuredly going to be both impressed and appalled. Mostly appalled. Your retinas are more unique than your finger print. Think about that little invasion of privacy next time you think you’re typing something in secret for some reason on your iPhone. Facial recognition is simply not what it claims to be. I’ve tested it. Thoroughly.

Meh. While the light gathering functions of this app are better than the built in camera, the bottom line is that I can see more and better with my naked eyes. This app might be a fun toy but the description, and especially the sample pictures, are VERY misleading. Other apps that produce a NightVision "effect" are better mostly because they don't claim to do things they can't. I am giving this app 1 star on the basis of false advertising. Buyer beware!

Shows promise, but fails to impress. Sorry, but this app simply doesn't work. I felt it was easier for me to see in dim lighting with my unassisted eyes than with the app. The light magnification creates an image that is so grainy it's unrecognizable and hence useless. sorry, but two thumbs down.

ThIS IS REAL. This app is very entertaining I donts use to see in the dark but I do use it for fun so this is not a gimmick. I like it because it's probably the best night vision you can get on iPod to work

Absolute Crap. I can see better in the dark without this piece of junk. Really grainy, worse than pre-gen 1 night vision. Definitely not worth a buck, not worth it even if it were free.

I couldn't see anything in real dark using Night Cap application, but this application actually worked. It also needs some light to work. At least these guys don't lie by publishing dark photo like Night cap people.

SCAM!!!!!. This app is a joke, simple contrast changes and a few color effects. This guy should be sued for every .99, he has made from this CR-APP!!!!

Does not work. I took several pictures with various levels of 'enhance' and compared them to pictures taken with the camera app that came with the iphone. Every time the free camera app worked better. The enhance mode runs the brightness way up but you can do that in any software. You lose so much resolution that you end up with one tenth of a picture.

This app is useless.. This is useless. Waste of .99. Should be free for what it does.

Works, but.... This works great as a light amplification camera tool, but is far from "true" night vision. It allows you to take pictures where you couldn't before, but it's not powerful enough to take better-than-the-human-eye pictures. A more appropriate name for this app is "True Dusk Vision" or "Low Light Camera", but never "Night Vision".

Wouldn't pay for it.. I hate to complain about a free app, but it isn't really what it advertises it to be. Ok enhancements for pictures with light, but that is about it.

Great app for the iPhone camera arsenal. I've only been using the app for a few hours and have found it very worthwhile. I believe it totally lives up to the developers intention and is an excellent addition to my camera apps folder. Changing between filters is a piece of cake although the slider is a little sensitive for my fat fingers. But that does not detract from my experience.

A careful reading of the description reveals they talk around this limitation but never reveal it. Why not just say that? But I still like all the still effects! Easily worth a dollar!

art not photography. does not work if what you want is a photo. different color options are available but all turn out grainy and distorted. can't tell what it is but that may be ok if you're into modern art
