One more format to be pro. I have been trying audio editors for a long time and most on iOS have steep learning curves. Just starting on wavepad, but so far it is the easiest to use because it does not try to reinvent the wheel, and it has a great feature set. I'm lazy and want to lie in bed and audio edit on pro audio. I record to 32 bit IEEE float for headroom in unpredictable live settings and generally mix and master at that depth too, but this only guess to 32 bit signed pcm. Any chance of adding float, since that seems to be the working standard for 32 bit depth audio? I'll happily give thefifth star if you can.

Yeah but I want something. I Love It also add you know the loop yeah the loop affect you have that but can you also add like another loop feature that that instead has an infinite loop instead of just him a specified number of loops can we do in effect where it’s an infinite loop can we I really want to say the loop my BSOD sound air glitch for for planking I wanted to put an Infiniti loop on it and now I see the maximum is only 9,999 times and flu but that’s not infinity so can you add that feature into the game?

Great App for Paste Mixing. A lot of trial and error before getting just what I needed. I wish there’s been clearer instructions but over all a fantastic app for paste mixing. Simply import sounds from files and the sound is excellent. I wish it had a more extensive sound library. Overall, quite excellent.

Great app for my purposes. This is a great application for a radio hobbyist. I can record two different sources at the same time - one on either stereo channels - then use WavePad to listen to the tracks separately while commuting. One request - how can I turn off the automatic noise reduction on playback? I want to hear the static and noise, not the weird audio left from the automatic noise reduction. Thanks!

Audio Editing Made East. I’ve used just about audio editing app there is. Everything from Adobe Audition, Audacity and several others. None of those provided me with the ease-of-use and flexibility like WavePad did. Not I’m starting to use it for all of my video content creation to clean up the audio and add amazing effects when needed. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

The bugs have bugs in them. When pressing the “file” button or some other buttons like the Waveform button and the Split button, or if I’m tapping and holding/swiping the screen sometimes, it freezes/crashes my phone. BUT! If I’m lucky, it gives me the ability to write a report! But THAT ALSO FREEZES/CRASHES. I honestly can’t do anything on this app other than stare at frozen screens. And trust me, you’ll find a better experience if you stare at a black screen since you can at least look at the disappointment in your face..

Would you like bugs, or bugs?. Because let me tell you. 100% of the upgrades have resulted in SHOW-STOPPING issues, rendering the app i operable. Now, before i get the ol’ was this reported ?”deflection...well listen. Turn your entire QA team over. Adopt a new philosophy with respedt to quality. You are a commodity and quality/customer service are the attribute. Get testers you are confident with...because what you are doing now with respect to software delivery is almost cringe-worthy. I root for thos app to go to the next level, but until then...PLEASE NO MORE UPDATES AS MAJOR DEFECTS SRR INTRODUCED (or realized) following a release. Suggestion is to invest in a true center of excellence. At its core is one word: QUALITY

No Longer Works On iOS. I have used this app for several years and it used to be a great app. However, for the past year the app barely functions on my iPhone XS. The phone has plenty of power to run this program, however, it freezes after basically any action. Example: open file, select portion of track to trim and then it freezes before you can trim. This happens every single time and has not been fixed by any of the patches that purportedly fixed bugs. Hopefully the development team can do something to fix this as I did pay for a lifetime subscription.

Great app. Keep the updates coming!. Thank Zeus, you guys finally fixed that annoying resolution problem on iPhone XS Max! No more letters or search bars disappearing up top at the notch of the phone and other weird artifacts. Everything fits perfectly on screen and looks clean and crisp. As it is, it’s a very good app for editing and making various tweaks to audio files. This is what I mainly use it for. Also, it’s fun to listen to some of my music with higher/slower pitches & tempo. And I’m glad that WavePad offers this function as well. What would be cool is if you included an option of uploading video files and converting them to audio formats (wav. MP3. MP4, etc). Sometimes I’ll have audio from certain clips that I want to edit and play around with, but having to go to an online conversion website to do this is annoying and impractical on mobile. I think if you guys offered video to audio conversion, this app would more or less be perfect! Otherwise, I’m still happy with it. I hope you continue with the updates and keep up the good work!

Great App...but needs work! ASAP. I’m gonna say this app is by far one of best sound editing softwares available on the AppStore. I’ve been using this app for about 2-3 years, with no issues, bugs or lags. Sadly...things changed in Dec of ‘21. The app suddenly started acting up, it began to lag, glitches galore and it constantly will not support any MP3 files of any kind, leaving me hopeless and stuck on unfinished sound projects. I am very disappointed about this app’s recent performance, It needs improvement...

Excellent audio editor. I spent my career editing audio in radio and now that I am retired I am using this editor to digitalize all my sound checks. It may take a few minutes to understand how the program works, but it does work and well.

Can’t easily increase the length of silences.. This is the fastest app I’ve found on the App Store to increase the length of all my silences in a recording. It’s almost like having audacity on an iPhone. But I do have to scroll through my entire audio, select each silence manually, and click “add silence at selection”, and click ok. And here’s why: 1) The advanced silence trimmer can detect silences, and even baits you with the option of “new silence length”, but it won’t actually add silence, it only wants to trim, as said in the user guide manual (haha which means the devs knew I might like to do this, and decided not to let me, lol). 2) The split/(batch)join would probably be able to do it, except the devs didn’t give us the option to import multiple files at once! You actually have to click “add files(s)…” again and again, once for every single file, and scroll down every time to find the next file. You can’t checkmark multiple files for import. So it takes so long to add all the files, that there’s hardly any benefit. 3) There seems to be no system to add marks throughout the file, and then apply actions at all the marked locations. For example, every feature that automatically detects any points in an audio, could (should?) give the option to mark all those detected points. So then you could automatically apply actions at all marked locations. For example, “trim silences: mark all”, and then “add silence: at every mark”.

Great app. No cash. So this is my first time trying this out and it’s amazing I was fiddling around with my music for hours until “ begin transaction “ popped And it’s a 2.99 a month membership but is there like a life time, one time only payment and can use this without having to worry again.... because that be great, and is wavepad pro a 1 time only payment and not another membership payment only Because if I only have to pay once just for wavepad pro and not have to deal with a monthly membership I will buy the pro

Deleted within 10 mins. It feels like it’s not really doing what it’s supposed to, but hey I was willing to keep trying in case it was me.. but then suddenly nearly all of the features quit and insisted payment first! I was not impressed enough to purchase it yet, and I feel like they just want me to pay before I find out it’s not really the app I’m looking for. Dear developer, at least do a decent 48 hour trial or something reasonable! If it was worth my money I’ll not know, and you lost money. Just sayin

Great for musicians of all levels. While taking private lessons while preparing for a DCI audition my teacher brought out this app to analyze my sound. I started to use it while practicing alone and absolutely love it! Being able to visualize my sound and hear it back is incredibly helpful! Whether you’re a beginner or professional, having this record your practice sessions will become invaluable to you. Great app!

I’m confused by something but it is good. This is a great app!! But I was using features like speed change fine and then all of a sudden the app blocked me me from using them, saying I had to buy premium. I am very unhappy about this because I loved the app and had lots of fun before it did that. I hope this glitch gets fixed, and if those things are actually premium, then please don’t make me think they aren’t and then take them away. Thanks! Other than that, it’s really fun and I recommend this! It’s cool to experiment and and make cool tracks. Thanks for taking the time to listen, WavePad!

File lost. This is a decent audio app. I liked it so much I even paid the $10 for all the features (although they all seemed to work anyway). Recently I was editing and audio file ( about 45 minutes in length) and as soon as I went to save it, the app crashed. I opened the app and the file was gone. Completely and totally annihilated. Nowhere to be found. I had spent several hours creating and editing that file for nothing. Now I have to start over. I could understand if the file didn't save or even if it had become corrupted due to the crash, but for it to disappear completely?? Where did it go??

It needs to scroll down more smoothly. I really like this app. I would like to know how to have wave offered as a choice, to send a recording , in more places., in more apps that have recordings to send. Hope that makes sense. Also, When I scroll down to recent recordings on Wave file, It is difficult to get to the bottom. I almost delete other recordings on the way down. Yikes!

Unexpectedly amazing utility. I’m a guitarist who records mostly metal tracks at home just for fun. One day I decided to load a track into this app and I started playing around with effects. I sped up/slowed down the track just to see what it sounded like and I discovered that it’s a huge help with deciding what tempo to use when I go back to record. Obviously you can do this in your DAW, but when you’ve just recorded something the day before and now you’re at work with headphones on, it’s a lot of fun to play it back at different speeds (without losing too much quality) and completely change the feel of your song by exploring different tempos.

I love this software. This is exactly what I always wanted to see on iOS, a full fledged app that has all the familiar layout as a desktop app. My only gripe is that I can’t use keyboard shortcuts or arrow keys for fine editing on the IPad Pro with the magic keyboard. But other than that this app is easily 5 out of 5!

Importing from iTunes into iPhone Low Quality. I just started testing WavePad by importing several iTunes and CD song files onto my iPhone 8. I immediately noticed the audio conversion to monophonic and low bit-rate audio quality. I searched Google and the NCH website numerous times for the option to import higher bit-rate and stereo to no avail. I could also not find any reviews discussing this issue or if upgrading would solve the problem. Very odd because the WavePad features offered are pretty much top of the line. Unfortunately it’s unusable in this current state. Am I missing something?

My favorite app of all time! Not even kidding. This is the first review I’ve ever left for an app. But, I felt compelled to say whoever created this app is a genius. After trying out 6 other ones that all tried to scam money out of me and couldn’t even perform the basic functions I was looking for, I found this gem. Not only is it free, but it is extremely well thought out and designed. Thank you again to the creators, as you’ve saved me much time and aggravation studying! Please continue to share your talents with the world and keep the updates/apps coming!

Geezus, finally.. /Finally/, a good music editing app. I tried some others, but they all sucked; unintuitive and difficult to use. And many wanted you to purchase (or worse - sign up for a subscription; get you to /bleed/ money) BEFORE their crappy app proved it’s worth... which was the point I guess. THIS app actually works. It reminds me a bit of Audacity; if you’ve used that, then you can use this.

Deep functionality. Great tool if you want to have control over audio editing on a professional level. If you are a novice on boarding is complex as features are mainly state of the art tools which have a learning curve to pass. But if you are already into audio editing this is a great free tool to use

Good on PC, Bad on Phone. I wanted the phone version to work on projects while I didn’t have access to a computer, and quickly found out that you can’t even export a file. Even the demo on computer was at least able to convert to a project file, why can’t I even do the most simple thing on the app? At least the features and everything works. It’s just pretty annoying that it even shows the screen, let’s you change the audio settings, but doesn’t export to files. Pretty sure that even exporting should be a thing for demos. Can’t you at least make it export one time only for demos?

Fantastic App!. I have loved this software for more than a decade on my PC, and finally bought it for realz last year. It allowed me to use the paid version of the app after paying for the PC software. NCH hit it out of the park on the app too! Love it!!

App Crashes Significantly. This is an overall great app, and it does the job But I’ve been experiencing lots of freezing and crashing. I can’t do more than 1 edit cause all it will do is freeze, then crash. When I try to recover the data when I open back up the app it freezes yet again, then crashes. In order for this app to work properly I have to uninstall and re-download. I would like to see this fixed soon.

Max recording reached. Hi. Firstly I love this Apple Watch there’s only one little complaint that I have that has been annoying me for the past week or two. So I have tried the exiting out of some of my recordings to make room to do more recordings. because it says that I need to close some files in order to start a new recording. And I’ve tried several times and each time it ends with it not working. And I’ve deleted quite a few recordings in hopes that I could just get a new recording. But there’s a max files count. Is there a way that we can get rid of this cause I have over 100 gigs of memory that I can still record with. so I don’t know why there would be a problem with it on your end with the Max files being reached. And I don’t want to delete all of my recordings either just to make room for new ones.

An annoying but Good Sound editor. Wave pad is an interesting editor and helped me make some monster noises for something I”m working on however either a glitch or a horrible choice of things to add to this app came up, I was trying to make a roar for this project when I realized I was only able to use tremolo 1 time and then I had to buy it, upset I deleted the app and went on a search for a new editor but I didn’t find it however That wasn’t a big deal so I just used the sounds and finished. In the end it’s an ok app

This was the first one that let me select the format and bitrate I needed, and did not bombard me with ads. Thank you, for your clean precise format. It’s clear this is a quality app with devs who care and isn’t just a cash grab app. Thank you!!!!

Great but chews up ipad storage. This is a great editor with one major flaw: you CANNOT delete the cache. That means it will take up A LOT of ipad storage space. After 6-7 uses, it’s often taking up around 60GB of my storage. Your only solution is to delete the app and reinstall it. You will lose any settings you’ve created, but that will clear the cache. I love everything else about it.

Make sure to save plenty of copies!. I recorded a three hour podcast today, and it was auto-saved on my iPad. Closed my device and took it home to edit. When I unlocked my iPad, the entire file was empty. The file name, date, and time are still visible, but the 3 hour recording is nowhere to be found. Checked on the recording several times throughout the podcast, and it was recording fine. Definitely considering making the switch to something that doesn’t require the extra steps to protect my content.

Doesn't work for mp3 files. I have been starting to turn my old LP records into mp3 files and was hoping to use this app to edit them on the go. I have the files saved locally to my iPad, but the app won't recognize it as an audio file, even though the VLC app will play it no problem. This app opens the file and then tells me there's no audio data in the file. I tried moving the file to different folder locations including iCloud, but it still won't work. Guess I'm back to using Audacity on the PC. UPDATE: I have now also tried the desktop version of this app and although the interface is nice to use, the cost of this software is ridiculously expensive for my humble purposes of splitting mp3 recordings from Vinyl records. I'd you're like me and just need a simple mp3 recording splitter, just use Audible for desktop.

Excellent software!. Have so far been extremely satisfied with the software; I’ve so far edited basic data for over 20 songs, and have been very happy with the results. There is a learning curve for the different features, and I have yet to investigate most of them (not sure if there are tutorials on it), but so far - great!

6 years of App incredible. Over the years there have been many changes but none of them have ever been so drastic that you lost your way. Every change that has resulted negatively has been corrected and I can finally say, everything is working perfectly. Thanks for fixing: losing your audio if you forgot to hit save. Great job.

All around great app.. This is the all in one app that you need for voice/ audio work. I am a podcaster and this app meets all the needs for producing , editing, and creating my podcast. When you add a keyboard and mouse to this and mirror it on a large scale tv, it is better than using a full size PC or Mac.

CAN’T GET WAVEPAD TO RECORD TO MY IPAD. July 9, 2023 I have the latest version of Wavepad on my late version iPad, it’s own software fully updated, so that cannot be a factor. I have been trying to make a sound recording to a Wavepad new “file”, with the sound coming from home audio speakers and with the iPad’s built-in microphone as the input source for the music going to the Wavepad recording. Notwithstanding multiple attempts over a period of an hour there I’d no success. Further, Wavepad has no real active “help” station, only a FAQ list that pops up and has very sketchy information to a minimal number of “questions”. The “Description” of what the app is actually capable of is also rather abbreviated and does not make clear if Wavepad is mainly a “playback” instrument, versus a full record AND playback software. Hope this will help others, and perhaps motivate the developer to address this important subject.

Great App. So far I like it a lot. I was able to do exactly what I wanted to do. I haven’t explored any of the many other tools that I saw. I am interested in playing with all of that. But can you give me a few hours or days to use the app to see if it works and see if I like before you start HOUNDING me to pay for it!?!?!? EVERY time I tried to edit ANYTHING I had to click out of two different screens that asked me to buy the premium version. Thats VERY ANNOYING and makes you look desperate. I understand that it probably leads to a lot of sales. But it seems like it’s such a good app that you shouldn’t have to do that. If the extra adds value people will want it. CHILL!!!! OUT!!!!!!

Mostly awesome audio rec/edit app. The audio functions of this app have been stellar so far. I've had no trouble with any of the ones I've used—though admittedly, I'm not employing the full spectrum of features that the app offers (I purchased the full version). The only problems I've had thus far are with saving, closing, and opening files. The strangest issue: I want to start over on a file which I edited and saved a separate version of before. I will open up the original, unedited file, but it will import with all the edits I made previously. I know it's the original because it will play the unedited version in a different app (Files), but WavePad apparently keeps a cache of all edits it ever made (though I cannot revert to the original) and applies them if it recognizes a file from earlier. Other than deleting and redownloading the app, I can't see a way around this. I'll contact the help team to see if this can be ironed out, but I figured I should mention it in a review as well. None of my files have disappeared thankfully.

Upset that I bought this. I’ve used WavePad on an old phone of mine for years. And I’ve loved it that entire time. Now I have a new device that’s using a different Apple ID, so I had to buy it a second time. It simply REFUSES to open my M4A files. And meanwhile, I try the exact same file on WavePad on my old phone, and it loads it perfectly no problem (it runs SwiftConverter and then loads the file. No issues). I’m using an older version of WavePad on the old device — maybe they broke something with an update. Really frustrated that I just dropped $10 on this app (for the second time), and it simply does not work. It loads some other formats fine, but not the M4A files I need. CLEARLY it supports these files, because it works on the older phone. Found nothing in the help pages to fix this. Might have to get a refund somehow. I’ll revise review to 4-5 stars if they fix it.

EVP’s. This is a perfect app to listening to EVP’s that We get on our recordings during our Falls County paranormal investigations you can see when the sound changes and makes it easier to find the EVP’s...I would like to suggest one thing that would be nice to have is a way to mark a spot on the recording like a tag

Accessible, but needs work.. I just downloaded the app and tested it with the voiceover screen reader, and it’s very accessible, but when I hit record, it beeps, then I lose voiceover speech. This app needs some work. For example, the first button is unlabeled, and it should be labeled as “menu” Other than that, it’s somewhat accessible, but needs accessibility improvements. Could you update the user interface to make it accessible with VoiceOver? Thank you!

Best app for editing songs. I have been using it since for so long that I want to remember as close is possible say 2012. It have improve from its original version however the old version I still use it on my iPad2 and work flawless. Recomend it is very easy to use. Have it in my windows computer my iPad, iPhone and it works the same way in all platform.

Bait & Switch!. I want my 99 cents back! Upon first opening the app it presents me with the Normalize function. Wonderful, that’s exactly what I need and it works well. Ok, I’ll pay the 99 cents to remove the adds. Then when I try to open another file I’m again presented with the Normalize function, but now I must pay a monthly subscription to use it! Not cool, very sneaky and underhanded. I will never use this app or any other from this developer ever again. I work in the music industry and will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid such a dishonest developer. There are too many other alternatives to have to put up with this kind of shady behavior. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle of the behavior.

Great for beginners. I was trying to find a sound editor app so I could edit my vocals for my music and came across this app. I really like it because it is easy to use and has so many features. I can change my voice and edit the crap out of my not-so-pretty vocals. I do wish they had like a tutorial so I could know what all the features are. There are so many features that it can be a little overwhelming. It is easy to use and find what effects you need, I would just say, have a thing that tells what thing does what and how it effects the audio. But besides that I really like it. Great app 5 ⭐️

Great app, but needs a bit of work. Honestly, this app is really great for audio editing. It’s like Audacity on the go. It has some of the features included, everything works the way it’s supposed. If you want to buy all the features, it’s worth it. I just bought the output formats simply cause I wanted to mess with my audio files with the bitrate. Overall, it’s really good at its performance, but I only have one complaint. It's the app constantly crashing. This really can bother me at times when I'm editing something. If you can please make more updates fixing this problem, I'll greatly appreciate it. Overall, I would recommend this app for people who used Audacity before, but want to edit audio on the go. It's a great app.

It’s a great app. Gives you the ability to do significant audio editing right on your iPhone-and then you can export your work into your cloud for easy import into any PC. The main thing I need this for, as I do a lot of editing which requires reversing the audio that I recorded. And this works very well for that. There are also normalization features which bring the volume of your audio up to good levels. My only complaint is the layout of the editing features, sometimes it is difficult to locate a feature that you need. But, it is there you just have to look around for it. The asking price for full features is not too heinous. It’s a lot cheaper than buying Sony sound forge. And the last I saw there was no iPhone version for that. This app fully integrates into your phones storage system but it needs constant scrutiny, it does use up a lot of space. So you have to make sure that you have the space available.

Love the app, but have 1 issue. I purchased the option to unlock all the features and have been overall very impressed with this app and its capabilities. However, I’m having one issue that’s driving me nuts. Once I change the playback method from normal Play mode to Loop Play I can’t get the playback mode to change back to normal Play mode from Loop Play mode and instead am stuck on Loop Play mode. The only way I’ve found to work around this is to delete the app from my phone, reinstall it, and then restore my purchase and then the app will be back in the default normal Play mode. …At least until I need to utilize the Loop Play mode again and then have to repeat that process to try and get back to normal Play mode. What am I missing? Otherwise, amazing app!

Wave pad music in audio editor. I absolutely love this app. I know it is a full featured audio editor, but there's just one suggestion that I would love to have implemented into this app. I was thinking for some of us blind users who can't use the app fully, I was thinking could you make the app more accessible to voiceover users as well? I know there are already a ton of audio editing apps that can be accessible with voiceover, but I just want to see some accessibility increased in this app for me to be able to use it. Send does work. From what i can figure out, You need to save your recording, then the send button isn't greyed out anymore. Save is in a list of options from a button on the top left. Maybe not completely intuitive but certainly fine to use. Seems a good free app, but I'm yet to really play with it.

Good BUT..... It has great sound quality and some good editing effects BUT I can't transfer the finished product to my computer. Can any one help me with that.

If you are looking for fast native app, this isn’t it. If you are looking for nostalgic UI and can put up with its quirkiness, it works.

buggy before the update, now the app won’t open at all.. Before the update I would have rated the app 3 stars, minus 2 stars because each and every time I export the audio file to iCloud the app shuts down immediately upon the accessing the iOS files app, it has taken at least two attempts each time to successfully export and save audio file to iCloud files app. I gave this app a really good go before rating it, I would not recommend buying the monthly subscription, I bought 1 month previously, hoping it would deliver better performance but even the paid app was far too buggy for me to justify the recurring monthly expense. If you’re looking for a portable alternative to audacity keep looking. This app has potential, but having tested it for 6 months I can tell you that this app will eat away at your time and productivity if you try to persevere with it. If these issues are fixed, it might be a different story. Until then I’ll stick with audacity, not because its free but because it works, consistently.

Good but...... Good app.. Not as easy to figure out as the developers think. I'm still trying to work out the time stamp which reflects elapsed time only but doesn't reflect local time since it doesn't record silence. Good sound wave viewer though.

Mr. The catch is they don't tell you about costs to remove ads and each effect has additional costs, bit of a dirty trick.

Um.. The best I could find on App store.. This might be an Old UI but it works. Specially for basic edits its great. The App hasn’t crashed on me and I edit all my podcasts on this. I still need to figure out how to add multiple layers in one track but other than that I loved the app. Please keep up the work and keep it free for everyone to use. So more people have access to your app and can benefit from it. (Work flow - Recording my Podcast on Voice memos and exporting it to this app cut edit and make changes and export again to files as simple as it can get.) Full star Rate from Happy customer. I might try desktop app too now that I have got a good grip over this app on IOS. ✌🏼 A quick question to developer ! NHC sound library is Royalty free?

Audio interview ruined. I recorded an 11 minute interview using this App on my iPhone. Not only did it cut out halfway through the interview, every minute or two a chunk of audio drops out throughout the whole interview. Unusable. Voice Memo much more reliable. Don’t use it.

Pretty clunky app with very outdated design. Design aside (very basic and pixelated/blurry, looks like it would fit iPhone 3-era screens) Would be great to implement a way to import audio files rather than only being able to edit tracks recorded directly into the app itself. With a bit more dedication and work this app could be really useful, but right now there are plenty more that do a much better job.

THIS IS SO GOOD!!!. I'm a total n00b with technology but within a minute of using this app I was able to intuit *exactly* what I wanted to do, and just do it.. SO user friendly, and LOADS of features but so easy to use. Love it.

Very good. If you iPod/iPhone is jailbroken (dun dun duuuun), then you can replace the recordings with any (renamed) wav file you want! But when editing you have to go save as. Very good free app!

Pc is better. Pc you still can use free stuff within but on phone it kind of forces you to spend money on it. And plus on phones its out dated so personally id say dont waste your money on the moblile version

Poor poor stuff. Ive recorded some pretty important stuff with this and after editing it sometimes goes into a lengthy save process then spits out a severely trimmed mp3!!! Too easy to accidentally trim too much and end up with nothing. I suppose its free so you get what you pay for.

Broken for me. I tried this by recording a new file but when I tried to email it it said "settings have not need configured, configure now?", clicking yes dies nothing and manually opening the settings does not resolve this.

Look no further!. I’ve been using this app for the past 3 years and can’t fault it apart from a few bugs, but they seem to sort them out quite promptly! Did I mention it’s easy as pie to operate?!!!

It wouldn’t let me open my files.. When I first downloaded this app, along with Videopad, I went to open a file, it took me to my files, and I tried to tap on the audio I want to select but it won’t let me select. If there is anything you can do, fix it.

Very good. Quite a good app

Doesn't work. This does have good editing features like trim, select and delete/copy, and amplify/normalise. Shame that there's no point - because emailing the results doesn't work. There is a settings pane for this, but changing the settings makes no difference to the error. The only other option of getting them out is FTP. So if you don't have FTP, then you're stuffed.

Lots of fun!. For sound design (‘60’s Avante Guard style) this program provides almost endless possibilities!

Simply great. This app is in one sense a decent working app. It's easy, simple and it works. For a free app it does what it needs to do and does it well. The interface is pretty darn good with easy navigation and use. I highly recommend.

If you are looking for audacity, No bother searching further.. This is the best you are gonna get.

Serious bugs !!. Almost unusable, I just want to take parts out of a track which should be simple. Keeps on crashing.

Problems restoring purchases. While WavePad is an ok audio recording app, BUT I have have had unresolved problems in trying to restore in app purchases when installing it on my iPhone. When I installed WavePad on my iPad over a year ago, I bought an in-app purchase to be able to choose the audio format for recording (e.g. MP3) because the default recording format is the somewhat bulky WAV format. It works as it should on the iPad but when I installed WavePad on my iPhone, it was asking me to buy this feature for which I had already paid in the iPad version. I tried the 'restore purchases' feature in the program and it told me that 'restore purchases' had been successful. The only problem is that the feature I am trying to restore (i.e. choose audio recording format) has NOT BEEN RESTORED. I've wasted hours trying to restore the purchase but, no luck. WavePad's help desk was hopeless!!! They gave me unclear instructions as to how to solve the problem and when I told them this didn't work, they went totally silent. If you intend to purchase features in WavePad for use across your devices, I would urge you to think twice and look at alternative recording apps in the market. I will rate this only 1 star not really in respect to the app itself but because of the poor after sales support.

Lame misadvertised utility. Not actually free, unable to import files, loaded with hidden expenses. Do not burn time downloading and trialling this useless ornament.

Why can I not email/ FTP files?. Recording works. Editing very fiddly - but that's the small screen. However - Send option ALWAYS greyed out. App cannot be used like that... It could have been a great free app!

Settings window cut off. Using this on an iPad Pro 12.9. I thought I was extremely pleased with this app until I clicked Settings. The Settings window opens but is cut off so that you can only see a few settings and guess at other ones. What is most annoying though is that after the Settings window opens there is no way to close it — you have to just close the app to escape.

Don’t update!. I’ve been using this app for years and was always happy with it. I just updated it, though, and all of my files were deleted. Don’t update if you have sound files on your device that you care about.

Where does it saved to?. I spend whole day trying to find where the file been saved to. Nope, can’t find it. I can’t even set where to save my file to.

Good software. I don’t know if there are problems I have not encountered yet, but as a guitar player I can say that installing, opening, and pressing record and then playing and saving is pretty handy in this world of garbled up software that makes things to un-useful.

Terrible.. I wanted to download the app and first thing is an ad in my way it was struggling since there was no way disappearing, second u can do anything there on mobile so theres no mobility to it.

Good, But PLEASE…. Please Please PLEASE…. This app can ALMOST easily replace audacity… which I use a lot. I really like this app and would LIKE to use it instead of Audacity… BUT… no multitrack!!!! The other app, Mixpad, or whatever name it has now does NOT WORK. So…. PLEASE make this app to support multitrack!! Otherwise I have NO choice but to keep using Audacity :(

This is GARBAGE for chopping samples. The controls are trash, making it extremely difficult to scroll along the waveform, make your selection, place playback marker, or do anything. You continuously lose track of where you are, and accidentally select/deselect things so it’s hard to get anything done.

Recording tracks. I think this is a great app with a couple of improvements needed, needs either multiple track recording or overdubbing capability. That would be very helpful.

Best Money Spent!!!. I purchased this app awhile ago and have never regretted it. I do a lot of music editing and recording and have found this app so useful and very helpful for my needs.

Skeptical but glad I Downloaded. I was at the end of my wits with crappy apps with limited functions and file incompatible. I was able to get the job done and done exactly like I wanted.

Fade out and Fade in Randomly reduce selection to silence. I paid for the full version and the most important basic function for me, fade in and fade out, randomly will cause the selection to be reduced completely to zero, and undo also randomly doesn’t work. Put these two together and your sample work gets destroyed randomly. WavePad folks, please fix this or contact me about a refund. Thanks

The Best. This is a great app. Easy to import files, i love that you can export too, love the different file formats capability. Haven’t tried the editing yet, but looking at the features is just exciting.

Great for on the go!. I get a lot of time in the middle of my work day and don’t have my laptop with me! I use this app, put my songs in the cloud and work on a few files during break! Very nice! Ive been using WavePad on my MAC forever, but just found out there was an IOS app available! Cool!!!!

Never seen a pushier app with its “premium” features. I get it, you need to have a paid version of the app along with ads to actually profit off your work. What I don’t get is the amount of times I’ve been forcefully shown the “processing payment” screen almost as if they’re trying to get you to accidentally subscribe to those features. That’s as shady as it gets. Used to love this app.

Disappointed. I really liked this app at first. It was easy to use and worked great for what I needed. Then, all of a sudden, I’m trimming some audio - it sounds perfectly normal until I save the file and then it sounds like it’s underwater? I tried reinstalling the app and now I can’t do anything at all. I suppose I’ll cancel my subscription so I’m not wasting on money on something I can’t use. Truly disappointed.

Doesn’t work with headphones!. I love everything about this app and it has a lot of editing options I don’t see anywhere else. But every time I finish playing an audio it disconnects my headset every time I try to replay it! Is it no longer compatible with headphones? I would have bought all features but I’m concerned it will also have the same issue.

Works well with a small workaround. I use this app for recording and editing stories with my iPhone 6s. In the early going, the app crashed frequently and annoyingly. I learned to make frequent saves, after every 5 or so edits, and that fixed the problem.

Not working right....needs a fix?. Hello! When I tried to change an audio from my playlist, I changed the pitch, and it sounds very very distorted. I’ve used this app many times before, and this has never happened until today. Could you see what the problem is?

I don’t know how to rate this app. Because it literally will not upload files I don’t know if it’s yalls end or if it’s Apple but one of yall messed up ill go to every file, in every format, in every drive and it shows the files but there transparent and cannot be used, I open another editing app easy as breathing all files ready to go. Works like a charm. A little confusing to use at first, but it fixed my crappy audio drastically, and even removed tons of the static noise that was in it. Amazing, works like a charm.

Great app. Ditched the laptop. Love this app. I no longer have to download soundtracks to my laptop for editing before installing them to my tablet. I can now download my purchased audio, edit them quickly, and load them into my karaoke app. Life is easier!

Disappearing files make it unusable. I really like the functionality of this software, but I have found that if I leave the app for any reason, there’s a decent chance my file and all my hard work will be gone when I get back. Ive been devastated on multiple occasions. And now I’m headed to a different software, because I’ve officially lost too much time and had too much heartbreak.

Great form and function. This truly is audacity in your pocket. An interesting yet adaptable control scheme lets you use this app efficiently once you get used to it. This is a fantastic tool for anyone who wants to put edit a basic audio clip without access to a huge setup.

Good editing, but problems. I love the ease of the app in editing audio. My issue persistently arises when I save the audio. It saves, then re-opens the newly saved file with distorted audio. It’s done this every time. I have reached out to customer service but they said they will prioritize people who have bought their full software over those who use the free service. That email exchange was at the end of last year and I haven’t heard back.

Pretty good but pretty greedy. The only thing I really gotta gripe about is the fact that you need to pay money for things like exporting to .mp3 but it’s a pretty solid app overall

Why did you change it?????. Ugh! I’m so incredibly frustrated right now! WavePad used to be so easy to use. I used this app to edit songs to shorter lengths for dance competitions. All I had to do was get the right time signature, click on it and drag the section I wanted cut out. Every time I put my finger on the section, a different window pops up. When I press cut, the whole screen disappears. I’m ready to throw my freakin phone across the room. Why did you change it? And where is the tutorial??

Great program. I teach dance and my computer skills are minimal at best. This app makes it easy for me to edit music for my class dance routines. I’ve been using it for about 4 years now and have never had a problem.

Better!. The last update took away my paid effects, but this one restores it. Love this app! Perfect for what I use it for - to record phone menu scripts.

The BEST FREE EDITOR!!!. I’ve been familiar with WavePad for a long time now. It was my first and only audio editor for a long time. I discovered my talent for audio production while playing around with the desktop version…love it.

It keeps crashing. I needed an audio editing software for a class I’m taking on production in theater, but every time i upload the audio i need for my project, it just crashes. Like the loading bar will be at almost 100% and then it will close out without the audio file uploaded. I even tried it with a smaller file and it still kept crashing. I’m a little frustrated.

A little buggy, but it does the job. For the most part I really like the features. The only thing that really frustrates me is that trying to select a range sometimes causes the selection to jump way ahead of where you wanted it to be.

Best of Music Editing. And.. even the prices are low and no annoying adds, you get everything you really need in the app without the annoying antics of most other apps Well done guys!! 👍

fix. Great app but my only problem i have with the app is the zoom in slider, make it more bigger because its very hard to zoom out if its zoomed in alot.

It’s ok. The app it self is very easy to use, and very good to use. However, sometimes an icon that forces me to pay for random features appears and interrupts me. So if you could fix this, then I’d give the app a better rating.

New App, who dis?. I liked it and bought the upgrades, but I wished it had more. Now it has more, but it says subscription now and does nothing when I try to restore purchases. Now I see there’s a $15 version but I don’t understand why it insists mine is the subscription model. I paid for the 16track version when it wasn’t subscription based.

Almost…. This would be my go to editor and worth five stars just for the regions list alone, but for some reason this app does not integrate with the share sheet in iOS. It’s so frustrating!
