Just great!. This app is great! I love how you can download your own music and videos and even listen to them offline! I highly suggest this app to anybody who sees this review. You can download song and video files from your computer. I use mp3 and mp4. This app supports many other files and formats. The only thing I would suggest for this app is a shuffle play for your playlists. Otherwise I like how you can download any song from your computer to your device for free. This app has been very useful and I have only had it for about a week.

Great video player. Ok, this video player does everything I hoped it would and I'm happy with all the file types that it supports. I immediately paid for the add on features like no advertising and additional media support. So now I have a trouble free video player that my kids absolutely love. The "play all files" and "random play" are fantastic on long car trips!

Downgrade?. The app has been my go to video player since day one But after updating to the latest version i came to realise that there no longer is an app file directory in the files app. That was a small but a very practical feature. Is there any way to return this option?

Full subtitle control. Only app I could find that allows me to fully control subtitles. Resizing subs is important to my uses and this allows me to do it with ease.

Purchased the item but didn’t unlock the full features. I purchased the app from the App Store but it didn’t unlock the full features of the app for me yet! I followed the instructions provided in the more section of the app by singing out of my iPad account and and then signed from the more section of the app by clicking on the restore link option provided in the more section of the app. Please review the issue and help me correct the issue!

Works with iPad's photo library. I wanted to be able to see the filenames of my videos which you can't see I n the iOS photo library and this app not only does that but allows me to make playlists. It also doesn't require you to transfer videos into the app but reads them right from your iPad's photo library. I tried several apps and this was by far the best.

Subtitle. I can't use local subtitle for online url video

Need UI Upgrade. App is really good and my all time favorite player on iOS. The only I want to complain is UI. It is very messy and if you can upgrade UI clean and attractive like Infuse, there is no doubt that you will get much much higher rank than now. The only thing that is holding me back to purchase pro version is also the UI. For me UI affect UX a great deal and my one and the only complain for OPlayer

Improve .dav file playback. I have a few Dahua cameras and this app tries to play the .dav files the cams create. It kind of works for some of the cameras. If it played all of them normally, I’d pay for the full version.

App closes after iPad is locked and app is paused. Very useful app for listening to 2-3 hour mp3s because it remembers playback positions if you have to pause/close it.. but for me, I have to re-open it each time I pause and and put my iPad to sleep, would give it 5 stars if it didn’t do this. 4 stars.

Good player with one problem. I normally transfer movies from Itunes to my Ipad, after I deleted the video file, it still took my storage. For example, i transfer a 15gb movie from my pc to my ipad. At that time my ipad is 12/32gb, after I deleted the file, the storage stay the same with no decrease. I try to find the deleted file everywhere but can’t find it. It never show in the app or in the file

Why no thumbnail view ?. Upgraded to the full version including the picture viewer, hoping that would include thumbnail view, but no, if it included this feature it would be five stars.

Works well where it works.... ...but needs some updating. Doesn’t access current DropBox. Probably should interface with Files to get to iCloud, DropBox, etc.

Extra Features are Separate. the app is 4.99 but to get the photo viewer and other features its another 4.99 if i knew it was separate and not included i wouldn’t of bought this app either gimme the features or gimme my money back

Couldn't be simpler. Great app, easy to start and saves videos from the web.

A very good app. This app works very good. I have not had any issue so far, however I don’t use it that often. There is one thing I would like to mention and that is at the end of the episode the player will go to the next episode (great). However, at the end of the series the player start the series over at the first instead of ending. I was unable to find any controls in setting to change this and not sure if this feature is enabled in the full version. Can anyone find this feature or it don’t exist?

When you can do better, but you don't. When are you going to do an upgrade and improve - it's been a year? I need to see thumbnails, so they can be the icons of my pictures and videos, instead of what I see as Name List, to represent an album of a file, and also, have the option to rearrange them to my like with touch and drag - If not, I wasted money on something not worth for what it is.

Equalizer. Awesome it is, i didn't find any single issue. Simply i need an equaliser to tweak with my headphones. Is it included? I didn't find any. Is it included in the paid version? Then ill buy this apps. Please please tell.

Some good things, but some simple annoying things. This is basically a good and convenient player. Easy to transfer files over WiFi from your computer. I purchased the add-removal option because I think the app can easily be improved (annoying things listed below) and hope the app developer will fix it Annoying things: 1) The app does not remember the full-screen setting. When resume playing, we need again go to the menu and flip the full-screen button 2) When playing movies from a playlist, the app will not remember the currently (Or last played) movie. Next time you want to continue watch your movies, you have to go again in your playlist, try to remember which movie you were playing and start it. The app remembers the position in the movie, but not the movie in the playlist 3) you can not move multiple movies from your library to a playlist. This has to be done one by one. Very inconvenient Feature suggestion for the app developer: I use the player to watch movies at gym when on the treadmill. The iPad usually covers the display of the treadmill (also the timer). It would be nice if we could enable a simple stopwatch (or timer) on the display to help timing the running (the running time never matches with the movie time if you watch movies from a playlist and do not start playing from beginning or if your movies are shorter as your gym time)

Great free app. I am using the free version. It’s convenient, plays the mpv and avi files with audio, and has good features. The sound effects are fine. I would prefer seeing my document files first on my screen without clicking on the button Documents. It’s just a short cut for better use for children.

a notice. this app is very good. I prefer this app instade of infuse or other apps in the market. It is magnificent. A problem which can I see is when you open a movie in oplayer from (file application) if you delete your movie in oplayer you will loose your file from (file application) and finally you won't have your movie on your phone or ipad. I suggest deleting movies from device should be banned in oplayer for safety of movies Or showing a massage of loosing the movie should be alert the user. I don't see another problem . thanks for the developers.

Great Player. I purchased this player because of the loop capability to play advertising in my car rear seats while I drive for Lyft. Works great on movies as well

Only the. Best. So this is by far the rolls royce of streaming software for devices I recently purchased an iphone xs max had some problems reported via email thru the software and within a day there was an update. Only issue is that there are 2 or 3 slightly different names for this out there and to undue confusion consolidate them ....its the same company."....just for the oplayer guts

Great App!. The app is great. I love it . You can easily modify the substitles; moving, scaling etc. You can rename the files even extensions:) I have tried all the apps in the store renamed "player". And this is perfect! Im sure that you will love this. If you are looking for an impeccable app, this is it. Download this, trust me you won't regret.

Where's the audio boost feature?. Only had a chance to use the player for a couple of days. Love being able to skip with precision. Love the fact that it uses a listing interface to display all your videos. Love that I can multi-task with my videos still actively playing in the backgroud. But I'm disappointed I haven't found the audio boost that's listed in the app product description. Unfortunately there is also no search function. If you have a video file starting with the letter Y, such as "You’ve Got Mail," you must continue to scroll all the way to the bottom to retrieve it. Imagine having 10,000 files. The other issue I have is the picture in picture window disappears when the file finishes; definitely a problem if you’ve got TV sitcoms playing back to back.

Picture in Picture Problem. I like this app, but I just upgraded to iOS 12.3 and Picture in Picture no longer works. No problems with the app otherwise.

Cannot restore my purchase in iPad. Cannot restore my purchase in iPad. I purchased the app in my iPhone and it is working with full features there, but it does not recognize I bought the app when I goto the iPad. I went to the App Support but they don’t give you any way to contact them, only a forum but that topic is not covered. No support, stay away from this.

Best player for iPod pro. I converted from MacBook Pro to the iPod pro a few months ago. The only concern i had was to fine a good player that will play just about any format. With very easy user interface. Well... after trying a few players (none was up to the job) I finally run across this one. It is the best by far. Highly recommended

Excellent app!. Allows for good control of playback with subtitle offset. It is, though, sometimes blind when 2sets of subtitles are available, as you end up with none. Hope this gets fixed in future versions.

Great app. Works flawlessly and very easy to send files across to the iPad from your comp. no need to install pc client or anything silly like that. Just works using wi fi or Bluetooth. Plays my .avi files without any issues.

Lots of bugs. I have been using this product for approx six months and was very happy with the first few, however since the last couple updates it's failed epically. I go to play an entire album and it freezes and stops after one song so I have to go in and close and reopen the app. Real shame because it's really easy to use and before the last couple updates I would have given it 5 stars. I definitely would not recommend this.

Great app. Have been using this app for a few years now and really enjoy it. Easy to use controls, simple interface. One little thing is sometimes files uploaded to onedrive do not have a download icon next to it. Seems to be random. Unsure how to fix this.

Bug in v4.5. Great player, but since v4.5, if there is an @ symbol in a folder name on an SMB share, that folder will show zero files. Apart from this flaw, I have no complaints and am really happy with OPlayerHD.

Awesome app. Local files play perfect on iPad 3, would love to see better decoding for streaming 720p files from a smb or FTP share, would also like to see gpu decoding to increase smoothness of playback. Hmm.... Before the update for iOS 8, this app worked perfectly fine and had the option of either playing the file or downloading it. It now only has the option of playing it. I only hope that there will be another update soon that will rectify this issue.

Excellent apps.. Simple interface and clear view. Manual operation is just at your fingertip after u click the app. Use wifi to transfer from pc to iPad. Takes one minute to transfer a gigabyte movie. Haven't tried transferring from iPad to pc. If not succeed, i m still happy with this app. At least i can transfer movies or musics with diff format to iPad without iTunes or converting to mp4. I can watch/listen them as well on this apps nicely. Only one adv pops up on top, but it wont block the view. Its commercial app will cover more formats and bring more features. I guess i m going for it.

Works well. Works well on all movie formats I have tried. I use it to play non apple move formats. Two issues I have: a grey rectangle at the top of the screen and not being able to use the full height of the screen in landscape mode.

Only player with next and previous buttons. I use this player for backing tracks live on stage. There is a major shortage of functionality in iPad apps for some reason. The problem with this app is that you cannot simply swipe between videos quickly, and the next an previous buttons disappear from the screen each time you use them. Unfortunately, I could not find anything better.

Wait for AC-3 before you buy the paid version. I have tried many other players and this one is head and shoulders above the others for video streaming. However, most 720p etc. files now use AC-3 audio codec. If they get it sorted it will be the best one out there. Just wait and see if they can get the licensing in place otherwise give it a miss.

A great media player. Finally! I'm happy to find a media player on App Store which get plenty of features for free. Also it is easy to watch a movie from a local server or to import it on the iPad. I definitely recommend this app for those desperately looking for a way to watch movie on the iPad without internet.

One of the better apps.. The advert isn't too in the way. This gives me access to my movie collection from the iPad without messing around with long winded conversion in iTunes. Smooth playback with intuitive systems for people used to media players. Edit - struggles a bit with large files (1.5gb) but downloading and playing through QuickTime was quite quick and smooth. Maybe the in-built player that plays the streaming video has a codec issue?

OPlayer is the only player to have. I have had this player for many years now and it has never let me down . Great for watching videos and listening to your favourite music from iTunes and at such a great Price. Why would you want to pay monthly. With OPlayerHD just pay the once time and enjoy .

avi files on iPad. OHDPlayer is a simple way to view .avi files on an iPad. That pretty much says it all. It has lots of features I haven't figured out yet, but the key function is hard to beat.

Buggy. This app is extremly useful if you are trying to find an app that can play good quality movies. It's not so good when it comes to reliability, though. Nearly every second time that I try and play a movie, the file just wont open. Disapointing, but otherwise, pretty useful.

New skin. The new skin looks great. Oplayer is my player of choice for grabbing media files off my local network to watch away from home

Love it, but not available in Australia. I have tried a lo of the video players out there and this is truely the best video player for the ipad out there. Even in the free version, the advertisement is not intrusive enough to be noticed a lot. I have tried buying Oplayer, but it seems it is not available in the Australian appstore. Great app, but annoying ad on top. Video player come with ipad is junk, with so limited video format support. This app is so much better than default player, with support of lots of different formats. No more video format conversion! However, this free version has ad on top of screen which is very annoying. Good thing is that wide screen movie only occupies center of the screen, thus the ad doesn't affect the movie playing.

Finally a player that works!!. I've tried a few other players but always no sound... Was about to give up and finally came across this app... Very happy!! Only problem is that there is audio only on air play with a blank screen but otherwise fine...

Great for RMVB videos. This is the only video app I've tried so far that can play RMVB videos smoothly without any lags. Regarding all the bad reviews here - I personally don't mind the ad banner on top, as this is clearly labelled as a "lite" version, which obviously means the app is for trial purpose. It's free so no complaints from me, and I will most likely get the full version as well.

With latest update, it play my 720p smoothly. Yes, With latest update, it play my 720p smoothly without copy over movie file from my nas. It is great, only ac3 sound is missing due to patent issue. I will definitely buy full version once sound support is added.

Almost Perfect. A great app and my favourite video player. The only one that will allow you to adjust aspect ratio and manipulate sub titles. Would be perfect if it could play all formats. Struggles with MKV files saying it is not capable of playing AC3 audio. They make some excuse about licence but it is the only player that can not (e.g. VLC, AV player)

Great app with minor glitches. The app is fantastic in the sense that you can download videos from websites such as videoweed straight to your ipad or you have the choice to play it, but one thing that will make the app better is by adding a new tab to the app so when ads come the we page you were on dosent get changed .

Good player. This is a very good media player and I was happy to pay AUD $7.99 to remove ads. I just hope iTunes continues to support the app in Australia and does not discontinue it as they did with my old player CineXplayer.

Very good, minor flaws. Works as advertised, and is I think the most capable free product in the App Store. Its main flaw, still minor really, is that it doesn't play indefinitely from an FTP source. It stops playing at the end of the song unless the ipad screen is kept alive.

Works a treat. Simply works. Great app for playing most video formats on the iPad with a handy directory structure. No dts but can't win 'em all. Give it a crack, you won't be disappointed.

Great app!. The interface is really clean and integrates well with the apple video app. Only feedback I have is a paid option to remove the ad banner. Can't wait for the codec issue to be sorted.

A great player. AAA for this app

Actually free, with unobtrusive ads.. For what it is, it is quite good and does what I wanted. I can lie in bed and stream It's Always Sunny from my desktop to my iPad, so I'm happy. Also it's actually free AND can play dolby audio. Small advert up the top of the screen, so it doesn't actually cover any of the image because most media is 16:9 whereas the iPad is... more square. 4:3 maybe? My only complaint is that it struggles with higher bitrate media, like 1080p YIFY movies, but that might just be my home network setup- perhaps I have a bottleneck somewhere in the pipeline. I've tried upping the buffer size, but to get it working smoothly I have to set it at like 100MB, which takes forever to start for some reason. Like I said, may be a client-side problem.

Quite good. Nice player, except the sound is very low and there is no audio gain like some other players have. Also, the subtitle save toggle for size and position doesn't work. The toggle for subtitle sync bar doesn't save either.

Superb app. I could not function without this great app. Yes, I function as a productive writer and truly appreciate the work and thinking that go into these indispensible (to me, for one) creations.

Doesn’t work on iPad. Installed it to see the quality. I have several movies on my iPad and on an external disc. This oPlayer program can’t play them because it doesn’t load or play any movies in Apple formats. I feel lucky that I didn’t pay money for this. How did it pass Apple’s quality control? I’ll have to reconsider buying anything from Apple in the future.

Great App, but needs some tweaking.. Love the app. Overall very good. Just have trouble with some files not allowing audio to play and, very often, video will get choppy and need a few seconds pull back to fix. Not a big deal. I suggest downloading this app.

Money gone to waist!!!. I upgraded the app plus all the options with it. Came to about 10$ only to find out that all my MKV ripped movie play with no sound whatsoever and my digital Sony camera that shoots video clips in a MTS format won't play correctly either. No sound and it plays in slow motion. So i requested a refund...they don't give any on the app but only the options bought with it. I wrote to Apple and to Olimsoft and got a email back from the latter to download a file onto my iPad from my pc in an attempt to make the sound work only on mkv. No fix for mts. This is way to much hassle so i bought Playerxtreme for 3$ something and it played all my movies and clips flawlessly. In short, i got shafted by Olimsoft and now app is deleted.

Super App!. I use a GoPro when fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon and I must have changed my setting from 1080 to 1440. Anyway, when I downloaded my videos to my iPad Air this year ... way out in the boonies, by the way ... they wouldn't play. After I got back to civilization, I did two different searches for the best video players for the iPad. I downloaded three ... or maybe it was four ... before I hit on this one. None of them worked. Well, one did, but only in portrait mode and the video was small ... across the screen ... no way to get it to work in landscape mode. Anyway, i junked them all when I found this one! Works great! Loads the videos from my iPad without any nonsense of downloading or syncing. Dates are underneath them, too! A super app! Get it. You won't be disappointed! Thanks, Jonathan!

Might be.... I thought that it gives the possibility TO SEARCH LOCALLY on your iPad. I have some videos in the Download folder, and I have no possibility to get to them. So I am deleting the app... It doesn't do THE BASICS - Local search.

Amazing!. This app is simply amazing. It does the two things I absolutely need from my video player apps: 1. Display soft subs 2. Plays any format. Granted, I haven't tried all formats, but .avi is the only acceptable format to me. This app saves me hours of video encoding

Downloads not working. So I used to download episodes of tv shows off vodlocker but with the latest update it seems like you can't download the episodes anymore, I use player on iPad and it's a huge downside that it's impossible to download. I'm not sure if this is just a bug or a change.

Good but can no longer open network URL. Everything was working fine but now the app crashes on my iPad Pro when I try to open network URL. Tried everything but not able to fix the issue. iPad is on the latest firmware.

Exceptional free mode; paid truly optional. Easy to use and with great power features genuinely not found in most video players. Allows me to load up with video from my desktop or other download sites, and make convenient playlists. Stable. You should pay for it to encourage the devs - but the app works well whether you do or not. Excellent work.

Remove ads not good. In the new version, when you play a movie, you have a banner of ads. Now i change player! Only 1 star for your move.

Great app!. I found the solution to the problem myself and got rid of the ads but thank you for the customer service. Best movie player I tried.

Decent lite version. Interface is easy to use. It plays a variety of media types as described. Definitely one of the better video out there so give this a try

Very nice app.. I like to have TV series loaded into my iPad, to watch them when I'm unable to access the internet. Before, without this app, I had only one option of video format to run with the native iPad's video player but now, with this app, I had my problem solved. Not sure yet if it allows me to copy videos and subtitles from my Dropbox account to my iPad (to avoid hooking it to my PC), but so far it has been very useful to me.

URL player not working. Worked like wonder when I used it for the first time, but for the second time, the video couldn’t play after I pasted the URL link...very frustrating, hope this can be fixed!

Some advice. I love this app but also notice some places where it can be improved upon. 1) About subtitles: I love the freedom of being able to move it around and change the size with just a pinch of fingers, but I'd appreciate it if an option of locking them would be provided. Also, displaying subtitle clips of different colors should be supported (at least don't let "" pop up, it's so disturbing ). 2) About gestures: I really like the seek back/forward gestures and find them very useful. But since you have enabled gesture, why not make to the fullest this powerful function? What would be really helpful is of course the pause/play gesture, which you might set as one finger triple tap or two finger double tap. That's all I can come up with for now. Thank you and keep up the good work!!!
