The best iPhone calendar app I have found!. UPDATE: I still feel that Week Cal is the best calendar app for my iPhone 6+. But… I am frustrated by the appearance of the new day and week views. I have found a work around which, while a bit cumbersome, has worked. If I open it, go to the week view, and then double tap in week view, I get the good old day view that I prefer. I have used Week Cal for years, and have found it to consistently be the very best out there. I have tried many iPhone calendar apps, including Tempo, Fantastical 2, Pocket Informant… And Week Cal is BY FAR the best (and one of the least expensive) that I have found. It is beautiful and easy to look at, the information you want is easily found, entering new events is an extremely simple process and the developers are constantly releasing useful updates. This is an excellent app, well worth the price.

Functional but nothing to write home about.. I’ve actually been using this app for a couple of years now, it’s easier to continue using it then it is to download a different calendar and update my appointments onto the new one. My biggest complaint about this calendar is when I merge appointments from another app, it doesn’t allow me to set more than two alarms. Sometimes I like to set one for the day before, another one a couple of hours before the appointment and one for when I actually need to leave the house. Additionally, the two alarms it has won’t let me update it to the time I want them to be, it’ll show that I’ve change the time for the alarm After I hit save, but when I go back in to make sure the appointment is there it has defaulted back to its own time.

Tired of constant nags to upgrade. Updated review. This has been my go-to calendar app for years mainly because of the week layout and customization. But I’m so tired of the screen that pops up nagging me to subscribe before I can see my calendar. It really disrupts my workflow when I’m trying to open my calendar to, you know, USE my calendar. I don’t mind the option to subscribe for extra features but I don’t need more than the basic features and it’s extraordinarily aggravating to constantly have to dismiss popups before I can answer whether I’m available tomorrow at 2pm or what time my flight lands. If I ever find another calendar app with a usable week layout this is getting deleted. Original review: I bought this app ages ago when it was a one-time purchase, but then they moved to a (expensive!) subscription model and have been removing features from the free version bit by bit. Now there's another one-time purchase in the app store so I guess they're hoping to pull the same stunt all over again. After the latest update, my existing widget which I was happily using changed to tell me I have to subscribe to use it. It's very customizable, but has a few bugs, combined with the unethical behavior I'm not going to upgrade. I'm shopping for a new calendar app.

Great but Annoying. I got Week Calendar years ago when it was new. I love that it's tied to the built-in calendar and provides some better visuals, like more flexible time control for alerts, and of course the week view on my iPhone. The problems are all related to the methods the developer uses to announce the "enhanced" version and make more money. When launching this app to view my calendar on my iPhone, it frequently tries to get me to buy the "Pro" version. I've looked at all the features and it generates ZERO interest for me. But that darn ad keeps popping up several times a week. The BIG problem happened when that upgrade offer showed up as an alert on my Apple Watch when it woke me up at 4:50am!! RUDE!!! There are a number of apps I've bought for a one-time fee of a few bucks, which I would gladly "tip" the developer another few bucks now and then to keep them in business. Week Calendar was one of thse until they turned into an ad-packed-annoying-alert app.

Need Apple Cal for full functionality?!. This app has pretty much everything that I’m looking for except this deal breaker; you have to have the native iOS calendar app installed if you want to receive event notifications. So when you get a notification, it’s from the Apple Calendar app; tapping on the notification takes you to the Apple Calendar app, not Week Calendar. If you don’t have the native iOS Calendar app installed, tapping on the notification takes you to the App Store to install the native iOS calendar app! For a paid app, with a subscription plan (a subscription plan that, by the way, removed a few features that were in the paid app and now makes those available only if you subscribe and pay monthly) not having app specific notifications, etc. is ridiculous. Week Calendar explains the reason behind using the native iOS calendar for notifications on their site, but I call b.s.! This is just lazy programming! There are myriad calendar apps that all have their own app specific notifications. I’ve tried dozens of calendar apps and all the notifications worked fine; I didn’t miss any notifications, as suggested in Week Calendar’s explanation. Their support is weak. I emailed them for support...no response. So they want to take $8 a month from me, but don’t offer support and lack some important features? I don’t think so. They should change the name of this app to Weak Calendar!

Need IPAD version Please!. I’ve been paying for the Pro version and I DO like it, for the most part. It’s a little clunky with multiple Calendars that get integrated with the same name “Home”, “Home 1”, several “Work” calendars... I’m not sure if I did that, or if when integrating multiple calendars it default names them the same way. Regardless, On my phone, I really like it and find it very useful that it integrates with Siri reminders and other features. I got an IPad that I am trying to use a lot more for work now, and was so disappointed to see there wasn’t an Ipad versionion. I would have given it at least a 4 star rating, if this were the case. I tried using the phone version that you can “expand” (but that makes it so huge it’s unsable). Plus if I’m using my Ipad in landscape mode since it has a case with a keyboard, that makes it *really* unsable, as it’s scaled for portrait mode in IPhone. PLEASE make update for Ipads!

Great Calendar App. This app truly is everything the iPhone calendar should have been. It's extremely simple to use, has every feature I could possibly imagine needing in my calendar, and the support is phenomenal. Copy and paste, drag and drop, and CUSTOM alert times! Was that really such a hard thing to have in the calendar app? Apparently so for Apple, but not for Week Cal. And when I emailed the developer to request a feature, I was emailed back in less than 10 minutes with a response! Not only did they get back to me quickly, but they kindly showed me that the feature I requested was already there, and how to use it! I've downloaded some great apps, but this is by far the best. And the fact that you get what has to be the best support around just closes the deal. Get this app. It will be the best $2 you've ever spent.

Continues to improve. Wonderful features & Quick customer Support response. Sept 2018 This is the calendar app to use! I might add that it works flawlessly with Siri. Oct 2017 Still like it. Still my primary calendar app. May 2017 Still my go-to calendar app. See my notes below. May 2015 Recent interface changes make this app even more intuitive to use. For instance, the new search icon has eliminated the need go to the "List" view to search for an item. Previous comments are listed below: After years of use, this is still my go to calendar app. Very active and responsive development team. Great app! Continues to improve. * auto color coding & icons: all my Red Cross volunteer shifts and meetings stand out in red if I include "Red Cross" in the title. All my medical appointments stand out in pink, if I include "Dr", "Med" or "Health" in the title. My musical gigs and rehearsals are yellow with a guitar icon. * A few years ago (iOS 6) a bug prevented the app from loading. The issue resolved quickly, but I will never forget the quick attention I received! I received a response within 2 hours of reporting the problem. recommending a competing app while Apple applied the patch they had already submitted. * This is a great app for setting up complex repeating appointments (eg: every third Thursday). * Also, using its "rolling event" feature, Week Cal provides a reminder daily, bugging you until you complete a designated task.

Great Calendar. I have been using this calendar for years now. I started using it while I was in school and now use it for my work appointments It was really good to begin with and over time, they have made some really nice improvements, making the app even better. It is easy to use, easy to change appointment times, and I love that I can use colors to differentiate my appointments. I have recommended this calendar to many friends. If I would add anything, it would be for this app to be able to designate blocks of times for work. My schedule is different each day and I set appointments within blocks of time. So, this feature would be very beneficial for me, and maybe others. Thanks for such a great app!

Great app. This calendar makes life much easier and far exceeds the native apple calendar. I link it to my google calendars so all changes made on the phone show up on any other device I sign into google on and vice versa. Two of my favorite features are rolling events and agenda view. Rolling events eliminate the need for a separate "to do" app with the added bonus that your "to dos" show up on the calendar (hint: make them all day events and they will be on top of the day) and keep showing up until you mark them as completed. They can be made to repeat as well. For example, if you need to to a certain task on the 5th of each month, the task will show up on the 5th and subsequent days til you mark it completed. It will do that each month. Slick! Many other features too numerous to mention.

I Love This App, But.... As stated in the title, I love this app. I've been using it for maybe 5-6 years, shortly after I got my first iPhone (my phone before that was a Palm Centro, which had a GREAT calendar). Weekly Calendar has everything I need plus more, and they are always improving it. My favorite parts are being able to assign certain types of events a specific color (such as errands being purple, appointments being bright pink, etc.) as well as auto-color, in which I assign specific to a specific name or title (such as events pertaining to my daughter). I'm a visual person and need events to stand out from each other; otherwise, everything blends in together when I’m looking for something specific. I also have Week Calendar on my iPad. However, in the past week, and only on my iPhone, I have lost the ability to keep new colors that I have created as well as use auto-colors for specific events. I’ve done everything I know of, including deleting the app, but I’m just not able to create and keep colors as well as assign colors to specific events, even colors that I don’t create, colors that come with the app. It’s frustrating.

Tired of surprise subscription upgrades...Goodbye. Wonderful. Yet another developer gives a big upgrade but, oh by the way, disables features I’ve long used. This is a great app, but I don’t need those features bad enough to pay for the “Pro” version. This is the third app this has happened with, and I’m up to $60/year if I choose to have the full featured versions (I don’t.) I don’t need to spend over $50 a year top be able to put colors and icons on my entries. I understand developers wish to make money. No problem. And I don’t mind paying for an occasional significant upgrade. I have a weather radar app I use a lot and I don’t mind $1.99/year for one extra feature, but they have not (yet) disabled previous big features (that I already paid for) and said I now have to cough up a larger amount every year for the “exciting new features.” It’s obvious that this is the way developers are going, but as it’s their right to use that model, it’s my right to go elsewhere. I shall.

Best calendar app!. Just an addendum: please add a today button to the bottom of each screen. Otherwise perfect! Just discovered rolling appointments. Best ever: if I have a call to make or task to do, it rolls from day to day until I complete it! It's my mother telling me to get with the program, but in color with cut icons!! I have found this application be absolutely perfect. It synchs flawlessly with the native iPhone cal with the added advantage if color-coded appointments and the ability to program it do that every time an appointment says lunch, it shows automatically in the same color with a knife and fork icon. I do the same for birthdays, doctors and other repeating themes. A quick glance tells you what you have going on by color and icon.

I was upset about pro. I don’t know why after so many years of having bought this app I thought I was entitled to more updates. This has to be the best calendar app I’ve ever seen. I always come back to it. No matter what new-fangled calendar app comes out year after year after year. I’ve had it with my current app and so I’m coming back to this one. God the things I went through just to avoid another subscription! I’ve bought like 2-3 calendar apps recently so I could pay once and be done with it. Not going through that has to be worth the $15 dollars a year lol. If you asked me to invent a calendar app and come up with as many features as possible to add with no limits, I couldn’t come up with everything that’s in this one! Thanks for updating with the UI for us lowly peasant users who don’t have pro yet. I’m glad to be back, will soon subscribe.

Well ..... I depend on this calendar immensely. The problem is one I’ve tried to correct as has employees at my carrier’s store.... but to no avail. The prob regards the setting alerts. If I use the “first” and “second alert” functions, they revert. Always. So I can’t use the second alert function at all. Now, when I go se the first alert, and submit, say, “15 min before,” it remains as a 15-minute alert but automatically gives me a second alert “2 days before” (even though I haven’t asked for a 2nd alert at all. At this point, I can click onto that “2 day second alert” and change it to “none,” and it remains as is. SO 1) I cannot select first and second alerts without them reverting - ever - and 2) in selecting a 1st alert only, it always defaults to a “second alert” of 2 days before. (Needless to say- if my first alert is set at 15 min before and my second is set for 2 days before, that’s impossible, and I receive no alert at all).

This will app will replace Informant 5 when. I was a long time user of WeekCal until Informant 5 was released. At the time, I5 had reminders support when WeekCal did not. Now that WeekCal has added reminders, I would switch back in a heartbeat when: - I don’t have to have the native calendar notification on just to get event notifications. Yes, I know the developers address this on their support page stating that they can’t get around Apple’s constraints, and the Calendar notifications HAVE to be on. But that’s nonsense. Informant 5, Awesome Cal, and other apps do not require both notifications to be turned on. I don’t want two apps notifying me of the same event. - In mini month view, when in dark mode, PLEASE make the day number font white. Honestly, if there was one single reason for not switching back, it’s this one. And please don’t say it’s an Apple constraint. Other apps do this flawlessly. Thanks for reading.

Crippled app. What a disappointment. Not unlike many recently dissatisfied users, I have used this app for many, many years. Since the last two updates, (IOS and Weekcal), the app is all but useless as now you no longer receive alerts or notifications directly from Weekcal, only from the built-in calendar app which has its own longstanding shortcomings and is probably why we all upgrade to something else in the first place. After a few back-and-forth email messages to the developers, they eventually acknowledged the issue and said, “…we will forward this as a feedback and suggestion report to the development team for their review of the feature. We can't guarantee that you'll always see exactly what you're looking for, however, but we make every effort to provide the best possible experience for our users.” Really the only thing I want is for the app to work the way it did before, I don’t want any “features” just operability. If it were not for the years of good service this review might have taken a different tone, nevertheless it looks like it’s time to upgrade to a new app because as it stands this app is near useless without its previous ability to show alerts and notifications in a native form.

Wonderful calendar with tons of options. When I first write this, I had been using this app for almost a year. Now I’ve used it for many years and still really really love it. “The mini month is SO useful to me. It's just about like the month view in google calendar on a full computer. I can see all my events in one view. There's little great features too - if you have too many things to see in the mini month line (mon-sun), you can scroll down in the line without switching views. Likewise if the event has lots of details, you can scroll the window that pops up when you tap on it. You can even edit a lot of the event without needing to go to the edit window. This calendar is worlds more useful to me than the stock calendar. Oh, and I was testing CalenMob and this one seems to have more features and runs much quicker than CalenMob. There are tons of features, many of which I don't use, and he option to use them or not. Options are lovely. The only thing I'd say could use improvement is that the notifications from weekcal are linked to the stock calendar and will take you there rather than weekcal if you tap on them. This hasn't been much of an issue for me as I just notice that I have an event reminder and then go straight to weekcal. Price when I got it was only $2 too. Thank you!”

Fantastic- superior to Fantastical!. It's replaced Fantastical on my phone. I bought it to test for my wife, who needed an app that could search in specific date ranges, something that Fantastical can't do. I soon realized this is the best calendar app I've seen, better than Fantastical in almost every other way (the exceptions being that it doesn't use natural language entry or show weather): I spend most time in the agenda view; it's the easiest for schedule and planning, but the mini-month view is also amazing, as you can read event titles. There's also a standard week-hour grid; fantastical has none. Also easier is duplicating events, through built-in copy and paste. Thus you hit the copy button. Go to your favorite calendar view, find the date you want, and paste (the app's own operation, on iOS. Also supported: drag and drop and other features. I emailed a question pre-purchase, and got a response within an hour, so support looks good. Highly recommended!

Got to find another app!. Have been using WeekCal for YEARS. Many bugs during that time, but support was always good. Now all my automation— loads of templates plus auto colors & auto icons— are GONE. Just gone. This is hot on the heels of a super annoying bug that’s been ongoing for months where if you make a change in a repeating event and save it as a standalone event it still saves the changes in all of your future events. I know Week Cal is aware of this bug because I emailed them about it and they said “we are working on it” and that was it. Like many others, I paid for this app, some very small reasonable amount of money, ages ago… maybe a decade? Its features, versatility, and responsive support kept me a loyal customer all this time in spite of the numerous issues. But now the support appears to be gone or extremely flabby. And the bugs are just out of control. Sad sad sad that now I have to find a new Calendar app. Boo WeekCal. Boo.

Great app, but some minor limitations. I own a mobile business with multiple appointments every day. I have been using Week Calendar for over five years and I found it significantly more useful and easier to work with them the built-in Apple calendar. I use iTunes to synchronize my phone calendars with my pc’s Outlook calendar and Week Calendar functions perfectly. The Week Calendar’s additional weekly and mini-month views are exceptionally useful for seeing an overview of scheduled appointments. Andy interface is easy to use. The search function is great for helping to find previous appointments but unfortunately, the newest version of the app continually reverts back to a 1-year search envelope after every search. It can be adjusted using the gear tool for a longer search envelope but setting the beginning date automatically moves the end date to one year later requiring the user to modify both dates each time they need a longer search. The older version of the app retained the previously used search dates after each search. I hope this option is re-incorporated into the next update. Otherwise, I highly recommend this app for anyone who needs more control of their phone calendar than the built-in iPhone calendar provides .

Thanks for fixing it. Issues below have been resolved and the app is both working fine and not throwing up adverts for paid features I do not want. Thank you. I would give 5 stars for the app, but have deducted 1 for the unnecessary recent headache below… I used this App extensively as it was much more useful / powerful than the native iOS calendar, but sadly it feels like the accountants have been put on a bonus scheme and placed in charge. Despite having the ‘Paid’ version, I started (end ‘21) to get frequent full screen adverts for additional features that I would never want - very annoying, and no option to click ‘Do not show me this again’. To add to the insult, the recent Jan ‘22 update has made the ‘mini month’ view, which I rely on, unusable. Upon opening the app ‘Today’s Date’ is hidden above the opening screen so you have to swipe down to get to today and, much more seriously, tapping on an entry now does nothing; so it is impossible within the mini month view to actually view or edit an entry. I was happy to pay for a good product, I don’t need annoying pop up ads or ‘upgrades’ that make it unusable. Please please fix it and put the engineers back in charge.

Poor Mac iOS integration and terrible desktop app. This is an OK program and when it works it does it OK but the only one that is reliable is the one on my phone as all of my appointments from email get easily put into the WeekCal program. However the sync is terrible And no one can figure out why my new iPhone will not sync with my new iMac by directionally. If I put something into iCal it goes into my WeekCal no problem but not in reverse and I’m always paranoid about not having the most up-to-date appointments And ultimately there is no security with this program that you might miss appointments.I’m constantly having to manually put into iCal my WeekCal appointments so I don’t have them. All I wanted to do was sync normally Most importantly tech-support is completely useless and they basically respond with one sentence and refer you to after six year old help files which are completely out of date and not appropriate

FRUSTRATED. I’ve had this app on my phone for over 12 years now. I’m assuming they must’ve sold out to a large corporation because I’ve had nothing but problems in the last two years using it. In the last six months, I have contacted them numerous times about specific rolling event features. When a rolling event is completed, I check it, and it should stay on the specific date that it was completed. However, it does not, and it rolls over to the next day. Every so many days, they do an update, and in the morning when I go to look at my phone, all the rolling events from the previous months show up on one day. I have contacted them a dozen times and asked them to please help me with this. Instead of helping they send me an automated message telling me to do certain things that I’ve already done and I’m well aware how to take care of. They never answer my question, they never help but I guess because I’m not one of their paying customers it doesn’t matter.

This is THE App. I've continuously used Week Cal since its early days. It remains my most valuable iPhone asset. In fact, it is what makes my iPhone valuable to me. I now have 15 years (having converted data from my old Palm Pilot) of meetings, appointments, milestones, restaurants, family events, travel throughout the world, all in this calendar/diary, which I often have reason to reference (with the amazing search capabilities). All is sync'd with my office Outlook so I always have the information at my work desk as well. The features are full, rich, deep, and easy to use. And somehow the designers find a way to keep improving this already perfect program. This may be the best designed and programmed app (from both a utilitarian and a cosmetic beauty point of view) in the entire App Store. I'm thankful for it at least 50 times a day!

Works very well for me and my business. Frankly it would be nearly impossible for me to run my business if it were not for this application. I am a certified professional fitness trainer and I have anywhere from 25 to 30 clients who may have a schedule that changes weekly. You can imagine the chaos that may take place as one client needs to change that day another client needs to change the hour and I have to consider how that impacts other people. There is no way I would be able to do this without Week Calendar! So today I have to say that it works extremely well for me and I wouldn't be able to run my business without it! Thank you for a great job!

Makes scheduling easy!. I’ve never been the type to schedule anything because of my ADD and I suffered because of it in college. I always did things late or I would completely forget I even had plans/deadlines. This is the first app that makes it so easy to schedule because it lays out your whole week right in front of you (if you prefer that layout) so I don’t only see what I have going on today, but the entire week. Not only that, they let you pick different colors for your events and they even let you save them as a reference in case you use them again. Talk about efficiency and convenience! This is the most reliable and consistent I’ve been in my entire life. I will use this app for as long as they let me.

Best Calendar Ap!!!. Having used MANY calendars over the years, I’ve found that the weekly view works best, at least for me. I searched for a digital weekly view calendar for some time and could not find one. I missed the weekly format so much, I actually went back to a paper calendar! Then I found this ap, and it’s fanTAStic! Not only does it show me one week at a glance, it allows for a TON of customization! I love being able to make the current day wider than the others, the time marker that extends across the screen, the customizable colors, and the way the Ap integrates all my calendars, yet still allows me to block any individual calendar I like. And this Ap is intuitive! Want to move an appointment to another day? Just tap & drag it to the day & time you need it. It’s that easy! This is one of the most useful digital tools I use, and I use a LOT of them.

Do not buy! Greedy unethical developers. 10/1 UPDATE: the developers restored the pro functionality I had already paid for with a new update within a couple of days of all the one star reviews. I stand by the one star rating though. This is the second time the developers have pulled this stunt in two years. Original review: Over six years ago, I paid for the pro version because this was THE BEST calendar in the App Store at the time. It was a one time payment. As other reviews have pointed out with the most recent upgrade, I can’t click on an event to see the details, swipe to a different month, basically I can’t do anything without getting a pop up screen that says I need to pay for the pro version (again) AND now it’s an annual subscription. There’s another version of the app in the App Store that appears to be a one time payment but it’s $30 - the most expensive calendar app in the store! (This app is great when you have the basic features, but it’s not worth that much.) Either way, this developer isn’t respecting previous pro purchases and just wants more money out of longtime users! No longer recommend any app from them and looking at alternative calendar apps.

Love iOS Cal, but love this even more!!!. As an extreme iOS Cal user, I loved most of iCal, but it had a few things that was making it a little bit frustrating to use at times. Finally I decided to go see if there was anything else out there and stumbled on the reviews for this one. It has turned out to be exactly what I needed with the features that I needed. I can see my events way more easily and the views are much more flexible with zoom capabilities. I also like the fact that it has the ability to put more than 2 alerts on an event and that the alert lengths are editable. Finally, the best part is that it all still syncs up with iOS iCal in case I ever have to use it on my Mac or anywhere else that this app isn’t available. It’s seamless and wonderful.

Overall good, but a couple annoying problems. These comments relate to my usage on my iPhone, which is my primary device to use for calendar purposes. 1. I use the monthly view. Anytime a month has some days that fall into a 5th week, the first week of the month is hidden under the top banner (with the name of the month). You have to pull the page down or tap on the first week to get it to appear. When you do this, the page “hops” up or down to bring your selection into view. When you’re viewing the first week, the name of the month then is no longer visible, so if you are swiping between months, you have no idea what month you are looking at. The page “hops” are visually frustrating. 2. Calendar entries will spontaneously adjust the time from All Day to 24 hours, so that an entry assigned for All Day and Rolling will now show up as having a 24-hour assigned time, i.e. it will show up as a Friday and Saturday event, even though it was assigned as an All Day event only. 3. Sometimes an event that has been assigned as Rolling will not roll over to the next day and will remain on its original date. This flaw requires that I constantly refer back to previous days to see if any event has failed to roll forward. This app has many wonderful features, especially the Rolling feature, so a few tweaks would be great!

DO NOT UPDATE!!!. **WARNING: Updating the app means that previously used features now require a Pro subscription. You will no longer be able to swipe between months.** I updated my app and now I must subscribe to get the functionality back that I had before. I purchased this app years ago (it was not a free download). Very frustrating that users are not warned of this before updating. In mini month view, I have a pop up prompting me to subscribe. I cannot swipe to other months or use the drop down. This has been my calendar for 10 years and now I’m held hostage because I was not warned before I updated. An app should never become less functional when you update it! Update: I have contacted Week Calendar through the app. They asked questions and requested screenshots and video. I have also submitted the information they requested showing that the app was purchased 10 years ago prior to Family Share when my husband and I shared an iTunes account. For some reason, this is the update that triggered the subscription prompt (we’ve been using Family Share for awhile). My husband has the app in his phone, but doesn’t use it ever; however it is working fine. Week Calendar has not responded since I sent the info a week ago.

Appointments. I really like this app however the one thing that bugs me is when making an appointment it too quick to close. If your not careful it closes without putting your time for the appointment or before you can put your notes in. The other thing that I dislike about this app is whatever I enter In my calandra automatically goes on every devise I own that has an calandra and when the reminder goes off all my go off all at once witch is very annoying to have my desk top computer, iPad, & my iPhone. Recently every update seems to make it harder to use. Now the app thinks it know who I'm scheduling an appointment with and is purity persistent that's who I should be scheduling regardless if it's right or not. Makes it very frustrating and now I can’t even see what appointment I have without open the app before it use to just show up on my lock phone. It just keeps getting worse with every update

Don’t bother, No longer works without paying. I have been using this app for years and have loved it, until now. I paid for the app back when it was first created, I paid two dollars for it. Now that they have upgraded to a subscription, it no longer works with my phone and every time I try to scroll to the next month I get a pop-up wanting me to pay $20 a year. I emailed their customer service telling m them I’ve already paid for it, and I’m not going to pay for a subscription since they increase their prices, I already paid for the full features. Their response was that it should work just fine, I just shouldn’t be able to access the newer features that they have created. Either way, it doesn’t work and I cannot scroll off of the month without the pop-up saying I have to pay for the pro. And I can’t bypass the pop up to view the next month, it just goes back to the current, so I am stuck on this month only. Very disappointed, and now I’m having to switch apps and will pay for another one out of principle.

Sadly moving this once great app off my home screen. I have loved using this app for several years. In spite of changes with phones and jobs, I kept this app at the top of my home screen because the month view was and still is unmatched and there was and still is no other app with the incredibly useful rolling event feature… I was even invited to be a beta tester a few times. Happy days… In recent years, instead of keeping all of these great existing features well maintained and enhanced, the business focus shifted to lots of ads just to add special calendars. They also made a really annoying change to the scrolling of the mini month view which was very buggy for a while and is still not a pleasant user experience. More recently, as a number of other reviewers are also stating, the ability to mark rolling events as complete is totally broken forcing me to look at competing apps that may be able to accomplish something similar and help me regain some productivity again. I’m not terribly confident that this will ever be fixed and I’ve finally, FINALLY found something else that will be able to have repeatable task-like events on the calendar that will still kinda roll forward. I won’t completely abandon WeekCal and I will continue to check the notes on updated releases, but the place of honor on my home screen is changing as of right now.

Excellent app which does what one expects. This is the only calendar app I use for both work and personal scheduling. My primary view is the Month view which gives the days agenda and allows immediate access to other days of the month. The repeating function covers every situation I have encountered and the rolling repeat is great for tasks which may not be addressed on the desired day, but can't be forgotten. I make extensive use of the note section of each event for meeting agendas or for pertinent technical data I want to have at hand. Attaching files to events can also serve a similar purpose. If asked, I would be hard pressed to come up with a new feature request. I have been using this app on both iPhone & iPad for years. It syncs well with the Apple calendar app which syncs with my employer supplied MobileIron app, so all of my calendar activities are available in WeekCal.

WeekCal harasses you with popups and random screen ads. Just yesterday, I got ad popups/dropdowns from WeekCal while in my browser or other programs. WeekCal isn’t even set for Background processing, so it’s completely off. The ads were titled: “Introducing the new WeekCal,” “40% Off Summer Sale,” and “Last Chance - 40% Off.” These are happening, in addition to full screen ads entering the program. All for a program I paid to be ad-free. I have used WeekCal for some years, now. In the past several years, the owners have put these ad notifications that show while in other programs and stop screens that you have to clear to see the first view of your calendar. I use notifications for alerts I’ve programmed—not to leave them on so WeekCal’s newer owners can give me ads. Weekcal’s owners seem to think app purchasers deserve harassment, even when their program isn’t running. Oh, and 1972 is knocking and it wants its stupid looking icon back.

Very disappointing customer service.. I’ve had this app for years and have enjoyed it but for almost a year now, when I use list mode and try to scroll forward or backward a day or two, the app hyper-scrolls uncontrollably- sometimes back a year or two! Then you either have to manually scroll back and hope you don’t overshoot or find a a way to manually enter the actual date. Sounds trivial but beyond annoying rendering this thing useless. I have contacted customer support at least a half dozen times and was told everything from “it’ll be fixed on the next update”, “you have an old version, update to the new one”, or “switch modes to monthly instead of list and it should help.” Are you kidding me? My version has been updated several times. The app is not useful to me in month mode. And this bug was never fixed or addressed AT ALL during ANY of the updates. Great lack of customer service here. Will have to go thru the trouble of trying to transfer all of my info to a different app that actually works with customer service who actually address the problem, after all these years. Such a shame.

Loyal Fan for Many Years. I started using WeekCal many years ago when I got my first iPhone and the pre-loaded iCal lacked features I wanted. I was a devoted user of paper planners/calendars, so it would take a lot of convincing to get me to switch to digital; iCal was unconvincing. However, I saw the benefit of accessing a schedule on my phone because I no longer carried my planner everywhere. Enter WeekCal, which I found through an App Store search. It was rich in features and highly customizable, and has continued its development ever since - not merely updating to the latest version of iOS as some older apps have done. It took a few years, but I eventually gave up the paper calendar altogether, which is saying a lot since I’d been using one for about 35 years!

Was the best.... I use my calendar everyday, especially for work related appointments, reminders, and personal use, etc. When I first began using Week Cal, it was the best calendar app I've used. Very intuitive and customizable. UPDATE: I recently updated the app. The main reason I loved this app was it would search my ENTIRE calendar for past events (unlike the native calendar on my iPhone which only goes back or forward 12 months). After the update it only goes back approximately 6 months. I used to be able to hit a settings button and change how far back or forward to search for events. It now appears the settings button has been disabled as I can’t click on it. Has this feature been moved to only the “Pro” version? If that’s the case, I’ll use a different app. To do an update and not tell us we’ll be losing certain features is not cool. Please advise as I would love to give a 5 star rating.

Perfect as is. WeekCal has some features that makes it much more useful than the native iOS calendar. First and foremost: the ability to quickly and easily place an entry onto multiple calendars. That makes it *perfect* for managing multiple calendars among multiple individuals. And having the calendar based on the native app is actually a HUGE benefit (despite other reviewers complaining about it). With the calendar information residing in the native iOS function, I can share calendars with others and they don’t have to have WeekCal installed on their device to receive appointments I’ve entered. They get all the changes, updates, deletions, and adjustments I make in WeekCal right in their native iOS calendars. How great is that? Please, please, please don’t take that away. I would actually remove WeekCal if it didn’t work that way. Finally: I don’t want all of the “features” in the Pro version, so I’m not going to buy it. I’m actually happy to pay a little more for the regular version because it’s a great app and the developers deserve to make some money for what they’ve created and support. But please quit bugging me about the Pro version.

They ruined a great thing!!. I loved this app... until the last update. Now I am stuck on the current calendar and every time I try to do ANYTHING, a stupid upgrade screen pops up with no way to decline the offer. I have three jobs, a wife and child each with their own calendars to track, and lots of other appointments to juggle. This was the best calendar app to manage all of that. No longer... Now the greedy app developers are holding us hostage by forcing us to either upgrade to a paid subscription or delete the app and find and a new calendar. This WAS my favorite app and have relied upon on it for the last 10 years. I USED to tell everyone, I came in contact with about this app lauding it as the best calendar app out there. That was until they force us to pay for it! I received an email from the support team and they had me update the app. I did an the subscription pop-up went away and I regained what I had before! Thanks!!

Why the change and what’s up with the app now?. I have had the WeekCal APP for about 9-10 years. I purchased the full APP back then. It's great! I shared it with 4 other dives in my household. And I used Family Sharing to post events, etc.. Prior to 4 days ago, everything worked GREAT!! I noticed that colors changed on my calendar by itself? Neither of the 4 other iPhones are able to share my new inputted calendar events. (Meaning, they cannot see on their calendars what I place on mine). And, I cannot see on my phone, what they put on theirs. Also, NOW, they are being asked to purchase the PRO Update. What is going on? What was once a great app with no issues is becoming a bad thought. The above is a message I sent out over a year ago. After that message went out, somehow, things went back to normal. Thank you. But now as of Feb 13, 2021, I am finding out that only 2 out of 5 devices I shared the paid app with are functioning correctly. On three of our devices, it’s saying in order to unlock features, I have to upgrade the app. Again, I paid for the app 10-11 years ago and shared it with my families phones. Their phones stopped functioning fully at the beginning of 2021. I did not find out about this till now. They are sharing my app. I would again, like them to have all the access that I have please.

My favourite calendar!. I have used this calendar for over a year now, and have also tried several others. This is the best of the bunch I've tried. I really like the look and feel of it, and the ease of adding FB and Google calendars to it. The repeat event feature is also quite good - it is very easy to set up repeating events on odd schedules. My problem is with events on FB that you have declined - these events stay on your calendar, and there is no way to remove them. You end up with events you don't want cluttering up your calendar with no way to distinguish which you are going to without viewing the entry. If that were fixed, I's find this app pretty much perfect. Updated: No longer have the FB event problem! Thanks!

Major issue with recurring events. I love using this app. It’s been my go-to for years BUT in Jan 2023 they did an update which caused the recurring weekly events to duplicate itself when edited. It took a few months but I was able to figure out what errors were being created and provided as much information as possible to the support team. It’s been 5 months and the recurring weekly events will replicate itself to future events even if you only choose to make change to that SPECIFIC event when edited. I’ve resorted to using a paper scheduling book as clients have been upset with double bookings. I’m hoping they will be able to fix it by the next update. I am writing this so that other users won’t get a shock when they think they have an appointment but it’s actually from a month ago. I have to recommend looking for another calendar until they fix this (unless you don’t use weekly recurring events in which case this will work fine for you).

With all the competition, weekcal is the best, BUT. Update 4: keep getting asked to upgrade but with bugs unfixed, hard to give another $100 for unlock. I see a catch 22 because they need money to fix the bug, but some kind of communication and commitment would be reassuring/encouraging. Update 3: Please fix the add contact to an event function. Update 2: I stopped using this cal app. A few bugs that are just deal breakers. Disappointed but moving on. Built in calendar app in iOS 9.3 good enough, now. One star deducted for an OLD bug (on iPhone) not getting any attention. Press and hold on day view to create a new event and after a while (about 4 new events) the "new" doesn't show up, effectively breaking the press and hold to create a new event. I kill the app to get that function back. With all the calendar app competition, and I've checked out a bunch, I love this calendar app. When traveling, there is something really annoying and it is probably an IOS bug. When traveling to a different time zone, the times of all existing events are changed to reflect the new time zone. It really hurts if you enter an event with your flight time! I entered the location info in the event for my return flight (the city of departure), thinking IOS or weekcal would not alter the event time if I travel to that location. Not really. Luckily I haven't missed a flight.

Again? Do not buy this app!. I paid for this app but it seems like I am being shaken down repeatedly to upgrade to the Pro version. First, I no longer had access to ad free Month View which is primarily what I use. Then after complaining, got that fixed. Til it happened again. Complained again, got fixed again. Support responded, but why am I having to put my precious time into contacting them? This is some weird Munchhausen's by Proxy nonsense!!! Now out of the blue, all of my custom colors that I painstakingly created and rely heavily on disappeared. So now I can't create new events with these colors without re-creating them one by one. Support is zero help. They send irrelevant and unhelpful links until the most recent one saying they are "investigating" and will let me know. No timeline. Meanwhile, my calendar is a mess and is not efficient at all (why I bought the app). Waiting. Not patiently. I do not recommend this calendar. Sad because I was a total fan and used to recommend this to everyone.

Awesome app taken away!!. This app was good when I first purchased it several versions ago, but it has has evolved into one amazing tool! For the first time, I now have something which outdoes the DateBk4 I used to use on my Palm T3. It is easily worth more than the price. I can't believe how they managed to fit a the new Mini-month view into the display available—it's like they somehow managed to make the screen bigger (and I only have a 3GS without the Retina Display on the iPhone 4). The author(s) are to be congratulated on such a quality product that outdoes the Apple Calendar app. The only thing I wish it could do is show today's date on the icon like the Apple Calendar app (although Apple's probably uses undocumented/proprietary features to do so).

Great app that’s been my go-to calendar. So, I’ve been a WeekCalendar user for a LONG time. I bought the app way back when it was $1.99 or $2.99 or something, before it went free with subscription and IAP support. While I’m a little sad to be bothered by requests to partake in such things, I can’t deny the software authors the right to try and keep a great product generating revenue, and this is a great product (and the IAP is a little less ever-present now than it once was in the latest release). While Apple has added some great new features to their own iOS calendar, WeekCalendar still has the best means of interacting with data a week at a time, and using it has been easy. It integrates very well with both the iOS calendar and Google calendar. If there is a complaint to be had it is that it leans quite heavily on Apple’s own Calendar app to provide some of the core functionality. Week Calendar builds on it but cannot fully supplant it. All part of Apple’s plan, perhaps? Update: the push to subscribe and unlock features has become more aggressive again, and I don’t need any of those functions. Were the basic free features (that I once paid for) a little less overshadowed by the pressure to buy a subscription (which many of us don’t need) I think I’d stick with it, but at this point in time Week Calendar doesn’t do enough for my basic needs to make it worth putting up with the constant proportion. So long and thanks for all the fish.

New update no good. This was my favorite and only calendar from day 1 of having an iPhone (maybe 10 years ago?). I am a obsessive-compulsive planner and with two kids and all the school events, extracurriculars, and a full-time job I have to be. I tried so many different apps for to do lists and calendars and I always enjoyed the look and feel of this one. BUT I feel like the latest updates have ruined a good thing. First of all, I can no longer view my work calendar events on this (my work uses google calendar), and when I create an event on my phone through this app it no longer syncs to the google calendar I use on my work computer. Also I can’t figure out how to view events more than a few months ago. One of my calendars is completely blank (maybe because they stopped syncing??). I had to download google calendar on my phone to get everything to sync in one place again and as much as I dislike the layout of the google calendar app I have no choice because I would definitely prefer this one. I am very sad about this.

Way to go, how to lose loyal customers.... Been using this app since it came out. In my opinion it was the best and easiest to use calendar app for the iPhone. I’d have given it 5 stars any day. All that changed today when the latest update made most of the features off limits unless you subscribe to the pro version!!! WTH?? I paid for an app, which came with a set of features. Then all of a sudden I’m told I have to pay again, every month, to get the functionality I had already paid for up until this last update!? What an underhand, money grabbing thing to do. You just lost a loyal user.

Very highly recommended.. I have been using this app for 7 or 8 years now and I think it is great. Very highly recommended. I did have some problems with the app not opening after updating to iOS 13 and 13.1, but the latest app update has solved this issue. Thank you to the developer.

Very good calendar. My only quibble is that my School Holiday subscribed calendar has disappeared (although it is checked as available in the calendars’ settings) in the last major upgrade. It is otherwise an excellent app. I am glad that it doesn’t scramble itself (rearrange for so-called ‘upgrades’) every other month like some apps I could name, as I rely on it to stay predictable, enabling me to run my life on it on a many-times-each-day basis.

Great App!. I am thoroughly enjoying the services Week Calendar Provides. It's similar (but far superior) layout to the IPhone's default calendar has been super simple to use and with various views (ie day, week, month) I have been able to easily access and view my schedule wherever I am!

Love the app!. I've been using the app for about 4 years now and can't live without it! LOVE all the different views and the colour catagories help quickly decipher between different appointments for everyone in the family. I’m from an Executive Assistant background and I can now run my personal calendar to the same standard as I do at work!

Not a happy bunny.. I used to love this app. Not any more. I requested a bug fix involving the display of appointments in Month view on my iPad in the week following the change from Daylight Saving in April each year when the location was Sydney. For the single whole week after the DS change, all appointments were 1 day out. Fine on the iPhone version, but screwed up on the iPad version. Requested a fix FOUR TIMES. Promises, promises. Several updates. No fix, just schmoozy weasel-word emails that dripped oily promises. But what really cheeses me off is that I paid for the app in full assuming that included ongoing updates, and now there are functionalities that I have to pay for with an additional open-ended subscription. The developers may as well wear a mask and carry a gun. Outright banditry. No way am I going to pay again for something I’d already paid for. App now deleted. I’ve found other apps just as good that don’t try to rip me off. Very unhappy.

Essential for busy professionals. Executive summary: An essential productivity tool. Highly recommended. See gaps in your schedule across a whole week, at a glance. Seamless integration with your main calendars. Detail: A key problem with iOS, for people with busy schedules, is the lack of at-a-glance access to gaps in your schedule. iOS 12 landscape mode is not a complete solution to this issue. Outlook calendar on the PC shows appointments and vacant times, blackberry OS formerly did. The default (portrait) iOS calendar just shows that there is something on that day (there is at least one thing EVERY day). Week Cal shows you the whole week as a chart, portrait or landscape. Highly customisable. Integrates well with iOS calendar (including Outlook calendar if your enterprise is set up that way). Booking appointments is slightly easier using the default app, but to see and understand your week, Week Cal is the thing to use. As an actual busy professional I find the worst thing about an iPhone to be that you cannot see available slots in your week in the default calendar (to schedule new appointments).

Disappointed bring back decent colours. I used to love this app I use it all the time just for basic stuff like my husbands roster but with the latest update you have taken all the decent colours an popped them into pro. Like seriously they are colours I don’t really feel we should have to pay for colours any of the other features I don’t mind paying for but colours seriously that’s a bit rich. Other than that I love this app

Great app but....... I now have the Pro version but have been using this app from the Basic version for over 5 years now & love it BUT..... Please bring back the auto phone number from Contacts. It was so useful & now it’s a pain having to go to my Contacts app & copy & paste every time I need a reminder phone contact. Otherwise I love this app & the regular updates & improvements

Week Cal. Love the app. It looks great, easy to make changes so you know what you’re looking at and what’s coming up. 1 down side.....I haven’t been able to download moon phases which I paid for. Sent email for help and a solution but haven’t heard back and that was a couple of months ago. Be careful when you’re offered other additional calendars

Not any more - annoying ads pushing to upgrade. This is a good calendar app and I used to love it. But I find myself now launching different calendar apps, including the stock iOS app and Google Calendar, simply because I am sick of the full page banner ads on launching this app. They are trying to upsell to a subscription. I bought the pro version of this app years ago and I’m happy with the base app and have no interest in a subscription. Ever. So until they get rid of these increasingly annoying launch ads, I’ll be looking for another calendar app.

Perfect!. I have been using Week Calendar for a long time and just found the calendar presets to create groupings of calendars - absolutely brilliant!!! I have to manage many different streams of work and this makes it so much easier to show and hide multiple groupings with a single click. Awesome.

Great app. I love this app and would have give it 5 stars, if it didn’t clutch sometimes. It will sometimes shows a whole month as blank without any calendar entries and then they come back after a while. This is frustrating when you need to see your calendar entries straight away. Other than than it is a great app.

Great Application. I love this app. It allows me to set up appointments very easily and customise using templates, which no other app allows me to do. I can see my schedule for the day and know exactly what resources are required. I like the fact that I can sync my calendar to all my other devices.

Question for week calendar designers. This same issue - as stated below - now happens when trying to add start & end times when setting up a new event. So hard to see text. Very frustrating. When creating an event and setting ‘alert’ dates the text for First Alert, Second Alert’ etc, all overlap each other and very hard to read & differentiate between. This didn’t happen in the previous version & wondering if this is a specific bug in the app? Thanks

Loved using it for years. It’s super easy to see my week at a glance & it’s great that I can put the address in & it links to maps & I can write notes for events too. It would be even better if there was more room on Saturday & Sunday, if there were more colours & themes (like Christmas, birthdays, holidays etc) to choose from for customising events. Also if there was a checklist option when things have been done or not. This could be events or in notes.

The best calendar app!!!. I have been using this for years now and have tried many others along the way but Weekly Calendar has remained my favourite in it's ease of use, customizability, and functionalities. The developer appears to be making regular improvement too.

Excellent app. This is an excellent app. Looking at my week in a graphical format is the single most important view for me and this app does that very well. I guess the name says it all. I particularly like being able to pinch zoom the time scale on the fly and double tap to switch from day to full week view I would love to see an iPhone X update soon.

Best calendar. I have been using this app for a number of years now and I have to say it is the best. I have tried other calendar apps but none compares to this. One feature that I believe would make this app even beta would be the ability to add photos. This would come in handy for taking photos of things like bills and invitations and saving them to your calendar.

Amount of ads ruin the app. I’ve been a user and advocate for this app since the iPhone 4 but am now considering switching due to the overwhelming amount of ads for the overpriced subscription service. No, I don’t want weather or sports in my calendar, I just want a smooth experience with the app as it was when I bought it. Remove the ads with a reasonable one time fee instead of asking for $100/ year for it and then this will once again be the best calendar app on iPhone.

Long Time User. Have been using Weekcal for many years and have found it to be an indispensable organising tool. I have it synced with my Google Calendar and through that shared with my wife. We depend on this app and keep records in it going back many years so I can look up past events easily. I recommend Weekcal to all.

Brilliant app, so much better than the apple calendar!. I love be this app! Easily the best planner available and I’ve been using it for about 3 years now. I schedule my work (gardening work) for the week so easily, and the drag and drop, repeat, edit, customisable tools, etc. functions are awesome. I love the integration of contacts and the auto fill of previous events. Can’t say enough good things about it!

Brilliant. Exceeded all expectations. I'd given up finding a decent calendar. Address book integration is essential for busy people and this one works really well. Being able to dial and go to maps is just what I wanted. All it needs now is to be able to add a new contact but I can work around by using a dummy entry.

Beware….. It use to be a 10star app. Have been a user since “forever” - when I paid a once-off purchase for the app. …. but now after updating, it’s forcing me into a “Pro” paid subscription version. Not Happy😤 I’m all for apps charging - but I paid years ago, and no indication that I would be forced into the Pro version when I updated, to access the features I’ve been using for years. Why not just charge new user who come on board and keep legacy users as they were???

I would be lost without it!. A fantastic and easy to use diary app. Have been using for several years and has never glitched. Syncs perfectly with other Apple calendars via the cloud. I only ever use the Mini Month view because I need to see the big picture for my family of four. The colour coding is really helpful as you can see at a glance what is happening for each person or for school events, doctors, sport etc. My paper diary is long gone! My husband also has access on his devices. Brilliant. Love this app. Highly recommended.

Better than the original iOS calendar.. I am using the Week Cal concurrently with the default iOS calendar, and the more i use it the more i see i don't miss the original iOS calendar. It actually is a better alternative. I also love the fact that the Week Cal does not impose as some other alternative apps, but still has all the information you enter in the iOS calendar.

Ok. I have been using this app for many years. At the beginning they used to fix issues quick and updated app often. For sometime the search function is not working cannot see the text when you type. Setting for date range no longer works. I thought I will subscribe to Pro version and that may fix it and was disappointed. It still has good features so I continue to use. Subscription may not continue.

Once off pay version = 10. Subscription version = 2. So it turns out, paying more actually gets you less. The tap and add event functionality has all bit disappeared on the iPhone since I signed up for the yearly subscription. How does that happen when for the past 8+ years it has been working flawlessly?? Seriously dissatisfied and will stop recommending to friends and colleagues. Now trying to plan how I will transfer all my calendar data to a new app. Lucky I have paid a years subscription to figure it out.

Must-have application. I have been using WeeKCal for years - possibly from its first iteration, and it is my absolute go-to app for appointments and scheduling. The app is great, customisable (but not too much), and the development team are actively trying new ideas (and quick to rectify issues in any new releases). I can’t recommend this enough. 5 stars

Still the best.. No change in my opinion. I use it daily. I can use the templates I made for the many kinds of shifts I can be rostered on to do quick entries when I get my fortnightly roster. Other entries can be made when I click on appointments, theatre bookings etc in emails to enter into the standard Apple app as the Apple app syncs with Calendar. How good is that! It can get a bit confusing when entering events for different time zones from the one you are in at the time. For example putting in flight or train departure times. If you remember to allocate the appropriate time zone for the departure point, your calendar will show a converted time for the zone you are in now, without any indication that this is for another time zone. Conversely, if you don’t enter the time zone for your future flight, you will see the correct time until you go to another time zone and then it will be converted. By the time you are in the time zone where your journey begins the departure time will be wrong. I know it is up to the he user to know about time zones but I would like to see this aspect of the app become more user friendly in future updates. I wouldn’t even mind if a feature that addressed this issue were to be an in-app purchase. Not a complaint, just a suggestion. I still love the app and will continue to use it.

Love it. No more searching.. Love this app. Have tried heaps of apps and have about 6 home calendars aswell (obsessed) and this one tops them all. Hubby is on 8day week and I find this best app for allowing to programme it. Love the little icons!!! (Could do with some more Aussie ones and mum ones, such as bbq's, beaches and cleaning, cooking but that's hardly worth mentioning) Super easy to use!! Does pretty much everything I want. Would love easier notifications and was spewin I had to pay twice (iPad and iPhone) but really, the work that goes in to making an app I can't even imagine, so it's a minor point. I want all my mates to have this so I can sync with them. Oh yeah : LOVE the invitee email thingy. Just buy this app. You'll be happy.

Solid Calendar app. A good calendar app that is customisable and flexible. Unfortunately the auto colour feature doesn’t work (hasn’t for a few updates now) so takes the shine off the automation settings. Definitely better than most other options I’ve tried.

Easy to use & customise. I rarely rate apps but I’ve been using app for over 4 years now so thought it was time. It’s very easy to use & I would be lost without it. I like the colours (plus making your own custom colours) & ability to have more than one appt in the same time slot. Makes juggling numerous commitments & people easier.

Great calendar. This app is great easy to use for multiple tasks, I have reminders for my medications, rosters for work, family important info in case I forget “birthdays and anniversary” etc; I have this app on my private phone and my work phone and can easily transfer from one to another. Defiantly recommended

Love it!!! Just needs one more thing... to make it AWESOME. Oh my word this app is great. But it would be even better or even the BEST app if I just wish that you could choose different time zones for an event... as I fly a lot it would be great to be able to put in a start time in one time zone and a finish time is another time zone, if this app could do that it would be perfect!!!! Other than that I love it!!

Great Diary App. I’ve used it now for four years and find it really useful as both a record of what I’ve done and as an activity planner. One small peev with the latest update - I can no longer search my diary back more than one year, which is kinda important for me to see old jobs. The search window is now white text on white (unreadable) and the little cog to the left where you change the date search window no longer works. Worked on earlier updates. I’d be grateful if you guys could sort this out.

Best calendar app on the iPhone. I just love this calendar. Best I’ve found after trying many. I have used it for many years now. The developer is responsive and also keeps making it better and better. I particularly like the ability to customise colours and also the “rolling day” function as it means I don’t overlook tasks when a day slips by.

Great stuff. I've been using this app for a number of years now, and it just gets better and better. I'm a shift work and use the app to track my shifts. It's sync'd up to my wife's and kids phones, and with their calendars, so we can all see what we have coming up! Bottom line, FANTASTIC APP!

Really great calendar. I have been using this calendar for many years and have possibly reviewed it before. Generally, it’s great but there’s been a couple of things that I wish the developers would address. It needs to sync properly with my iPad and with my partners’ iPhone and iPad. It also needs to maintain templates and user colours even when there’s a general update on iOS systems. And someone needs to address the Leap Year issue for repeating birthdays, celebrated on either 28th of February or 1st of March. Otherwise, it’s a great calendar and I still use it and would recommend it, despite those issues above.

Bad since last update. I’ve been using this app for two years and pay for all the features. It was fantastic to use but unfortunately since the last update the app has been less responsive and glitchy, it wont let me copy and paste events while in mini month view and often freezes. Hope this gets fixed in the next update as it’s enough for me to move apps once my subscription expires.

Love it use for social and work dates. I have been using this calendar for years, and love the app but wish I could still successfully sync it with my iPad and with my partners phone as I previously could when I paid my subscription. I could share events with him so much easier

Has become critical to our family. We use this app for our family diary. With 2 shift workers with 2 kids it is vital to see what we are doing each day and be able to commit to things without having to look at a physical diary. The ability to update on multiple devices simultaneously is fantastic.

Still the best 👍🏻. Have been using for years and it is still the best. Sure, every time there is a major upgrade I am encouraged (a bit too much) to pay for the pro version, but after the next minor update it’s back to normal. I went through 6 other calendar apps before loving this one. Their month view is simply the best!

Notifications. Love this!!!!! Finally week to a view with the whole day! OMG Just one tiny glitch when I create a new entry and set the colour it always go back to the default colour, so I need to go back to it and change it back. This has been happening for maybe the last month or two.

New update. The new update is horrible. There’s a whole new way of adding a location to an event and it’s ridiculous. I’ve still got bugs that haven’t been removed to. One where it adds alarms to every new event (no I don’t have that in my settings) and then when I remove the alarms it adds them back again, and a glitch with my notes. Overall though, I still love this app very much, it’s the best calendar app I’ve come across.

Best I've ever seen. Week Cal is a superb app - beyond everything else I tried before. Once I found it years ago, I gave up looking for anything better. I don't believe it's out there. If Apple was as smart as it's supposed to be it would buy Week Cal and replace that inadequate calendar they ship. Week Cal's synchronization with Outlook is excellent. What would make it perfect is for the Categorizations and their colors to sync too. Great work, team.

The Agenda View. I'm all about the agenda view - think "Week to a Page" hardcopy diary meets the digital age. I find most online calendars unreadable, THIS is totally doable. If you've been having trouble transitioning from hard copy diary to something online, then this is for you. You'll still have to work a little to set it up and get used to it, like anything, but it's totally worth it. I'm several months in and highly recommend.

Its pretty good but could be better. This has a lot of easy features that other calendar apps don't. The new emojis are nice too. Its the best calendar app I've tried. Annoyingly it doesn't allow you to put in a phone number. It used to recognise a phone number and when you selected the appointment, then copy and paste into the phone. It no longer does this meaning that if I want to call or text a contact to notify them I will be late I have to go in to the appointment, edit and then go to where I've typed the phone number next to their name and select, copy and then paste into the phone. It would be great if they simply added a phone number field for calling or texting appointments and link it to the phone/message functions so there is no need for copy and pasting.

WAS fantastic, now constantly harassing users to update to pro. UPDATE. For people who bought this app a long time ago, will you please stop harassing us with continuous notifications to sign up to the pro version? It is very expensive for what it gives you in addition to the regular calendar. Not only that, but you’ve removed all of my custom colours in your updates, this sort of operation is inclined to drive people away from using it. I see that many people have complained of this. NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE! ——————- Old review: Not only is this a great diary app, but the creators keep improving it with excellent, intuitive features. It can manage and display multiple diaries and has templates for recurring events, reminders, colour coding, icons and hooks up well with your contacts, birthdays and location info as well as facebook invitations and other calendar event exports. It also feeds into the native iOS calendar which is the one that displays on the default iOS daily events list. My life would be so disorganised without it!

Developer regularly removes features you paid for to force upgrade to subscription. I bought the paid version of WeekCal a couple of years ago. Developers have systematically removed features I had already paid for and move them to the subscription version to force you to repay again. Almost 70% now of the app I had paid for is unusable without an expensive subscription. You can’t trust that what you paid for will not also be removed in the future to force you to pay even more. Developers who treat their paid customers unethically like that should not be supported. I will be uninstalling and looking for another alternative.

Forcing users to pay for previously free options, disgusting.. You guys have incredible balls taking away previously free basic options in your app available to an irregular user and forcing them to sign up for your yearly fee to get those features back again. Try doing something to actually make real money like, oh maybe making NEW features and charging for those? Now you're going to deal with a bunch of very mad basic users bringing down your app rating, and for what? A few measly extra dollars on your corporate plate?

Has gone downhill severely. Used to be a great app but has been incredibly buggy in the past 3-6 months and hasn’t been fixed at all. Very slow at times, not adding events. I can’t believe i paid for this app...

Now requires subscription. Had been using WeekCal for many years but all the good features are now locked unless you buy a subscription.

Update 2024Mixed feelings.. Sad they made the extra colours pro only. I won’t pay for subscription I already paid for the app. Hate having the pro version shoved at me every 3 days. actually would love to give this app 5 stars. I have used it for years, and love the options. I think I paid $10 originally so I am disappointed that I am continually flashed with options to upgrade. I would prefer a one time fee of $10 and not have upgrade options flashed at me.

Simply the BEST!!! ... until the greed took over!. This is the BEST calendar app!!! Don't even hesitate... just get it. You will thank me later. Awesome customer support too! Kudos to the developers! 2021 Update ... I paid for this app when it first came out and now to see a yearly subscription fee is disappointing. Cmon devs, you are better than this. Your app is great, but just charge a one time fee of no more than 10 dollars and all of your negative reviews will disappear. You have the best calendar app around, but there is no need to be that greedy with a yearly subscription. I won’t pay it and neither will most of your faithful users. Lowered from 5 Stars down to 3.

Buyer beware! App is a scam.. I purchased the full version of this calendar, and have supported this app since launch. After the latest update, I can no longer access the app unless I pay for a yearly subscription. This is a classic bait-and-switch. You took all of our money, and now we are all left with non-functioning apps. Shame on you. I’m not sure how many others got scammed, but Apple should not be allowing thieves to put out apps on the App store.

Sudden feature lock without subscription. One second I can access “day” view, then next it requires a Pro subscription. I’ve been happily using this app for years and now it’s crippled. I wish you could have found a way to convert me to a paid customer without leaving a terrible taste of extortion. Update: no, when I purchased the app outright years ago, there was no subscription model. The feature was not accidentally given. It was actually taken away by you introducing subscriptions. Update 2: months later, still not fixed. I’ve given up and purchased Calendar 366.

Disappointed. After using this app for so many years and giving it good reviews I suddenly find I can’t use it and have to pay for it. No warning at all. Very disappointing.

Stopped working with IOS13!!. Please fix ASAP! Stopped working with IOS13!!

Forced upgrade. I bought this program years ago and now I’m being forced to upgrade to the pro version if I want to keep the minimonths view The company has essentially forced us by sneaking in an upgrade that remove the previous calendars features They should be ashamed of themselves I dislike having to rent programs for eternity

Cal apps don’t merit SAAS or subscription models - they just don’t. I’m tired of every other app dev expecting users to sign up for an endless subscription model. Informant 5 is a perfect example of how to alienate an entire user base. Now Weekcal. STOP. JUST STOP. Charge $10 if you want to - that’s fine. Bring out an improved version down the road - maybe I’ll pay another $10 then. But a subscription? That’s a non-starter. So to the publishers of WeekCal - I hope you get everything your greed deserves ...

I used to give it 5 stars. they changed it back to regular use for those who bought it in the past, but are not buying the current subscription thing; I’m assuming they’ve got so many bad reviews, they were forced to fix it; but I’m still suspicious after what happened

New problem with ios13. Does not open and crashes. Always was a good app though before this new iOS Apple update.

The best but….. I paid for this app when I originally got it years ago. NOW, I get non stop pop ups to buy a yearly subscription. Been spending time today finding a new calendar app. This one is beautiful, but it’s driving me crazy. Greed will always lose. My family all deleted this app and I was the last remaining one using it. But it’s truly disappointing.

Can’t view other months. New update doesn’t let you view other months other then the current. They want to to pay $20 / year to unlock free version. Very over priced for an app that shouldn’t cost more then $5

The best, but they are greedy. Even though I paid for the “full” app years ago ($6) I came to see what that would cost to buy again for some new features. To my surprise it is $26+ a year. It’s a great app but not $26+ a year great and what an insult to those who have already bought the “full” version. I’d be happy to upgrade for a one time fee but certainly not yearly. And this is a common theme in the comments.

Fees Keep Increasing and Changing. I paid for this app a few years back. It was supposed to be a one time fee. Then it a couple years ago it became $9.99 per year. Now this year is $24.99 per year. I just updated this app and cannot get into my app beyond the current week anymore. This app is fantastic but you’ve become greedy and are changing fees as you go. Make money with a one time fee and stick to it. Get more customers without being greedy and make more money that way. My yearly subscription is good till April 9th but this latest update two days ago wants $24.99 now for the year and doesn’t recognize that I am paid till April 9th and cannot get my life out of this calendar no matter what I do. DO BETTER AND STOP BEING GREEDY!!!

Intrusive advertising even when paid for. I’ve used this app for a long time, and paid for it before the subscription model. Throughout the day, the app fills my screen with ads for the subscription plan that I have to dismiss before I can continue. There are other good calendar apps that do not do this to customers who have paid to use their app.

14 years of WeelCal. I have deeply conflicting emotions about the most recent update. Back in 2010, I made the decision to invest in WeekCal, and over the span of more than a decade, I've been its staunch advocate. I've enthusiastically recommended this calendar to countless individuals, be they friends, colleagues, or acquaintances. The calendar's features have been integral to my daily life, and my loyalty to it has been unwavering. However, the latest updates have left me disheartened. Rather than enhancing the experience for loyal, paid users like myself, the updates seem to have stripped away functionalities that were once available without subscription. While I acknowledge that the new features over the years may offer value for the money spent, it feels like a betrayal to those of us who supported the platform from its early days. To the WeekCal team, I extend my gratitude for the journey thus far. Nevertheless, until the original features are reinstated for us, the early adopters who helped lay the foundation for the company's success, I'll be transitioning to Google Calendar. This decision isn't solely about convenience; it's about principle. By doing so, I'm also giving Google the opportunity to demonstrate the merits of their application. Here's to hoping for positive changes and a resolution. Cheers!

Very disappointing change. I have been with WeekCal since the beginning and gave it rave reviews. The mini month view is gone!!! This was the sole reason for this paid app. Now that it went to subscription without grandfathering those that paid for the app was disappointing but I still subscribed for 19.99 a year and the Mini Month view is still gone. VERY UPSET. Will uninstall and cancel subscription.

Current version so disappointing!. Forcing you to pay for subscription. Can’t use any of the BASIC calendar features without paying for the subscription. Suggest to have tiered options as all features are not beneficial or needed. Give your customers choice. Forcing customers to take all or nothing is discouraging and shows that developers not paying attention to what customers need want. Going back to Apple iCal App.

Canceled already paid functions. I have been using this app for a couple of years now. I paid for the full version back then. Now they updated it and cancelled my full version and now they ask for a monthly payment to unlock them again. Pure greed.

Best calendar app until now you can’t change month without subscription. For more than 6 years I'm using this app and it has always been helpful, easy to use et so powerful. I hope they will continue to support old ios and older devices like the iphone 4! Edit: now with the new way it work with the subscription the app is unusable if you don’t have one. I give up. The devs got too greedy.

Pushy and annoying notifications/advertisements.. Really fed up with this app. Bought it years ago and now it’s giving me plenty of reasons to uninstall it.

Paywall without any grandfathered features. Had been using this for ages, and appeared to have been grandfathered in for a while up until their last update. Very disappointing Also, the watch app never worked for me. Support failed to solve the issue via email , left hanging without an answer after a handful of replies.

Would be 10/10 - EXCEPT it’s unreliable. Love love love it when it works. Love being able to colour code, add icons, set repeating events. What I DON’T love & has me regularly looking for options, is that events, sometimes MONTHS worth of events, will simply disappear. Have reached out for support & gotten nowhere. Has so much potential - can’t trust it unfortunately.

Very disappointed.. Thanks for wrecking a great app. Delete.

Scam. Bought it and now to get functions needs to upgrade for 9.99

Too expensive. I’ve used it for years and it’s been great. Really frustrating it’s all of a sudden very expensive and I am unable to see past the current month. I’ll be deleting the app.

OMG FIX THE SCROLLING BACK EIGHT MONTHS EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH THE INTERFACE IN LIST VIEW.. I DON’T GET IT! It’s been, literally, over two years. Why won’t you fix the damn list-view zooming back 8 months whenever touched already! This simple fix might make it what you now falsely claim: world’s best.

Just charge a one time fee.. iOS 14 fix now makes calendar usable again. Pls just charge a one time fee and be done with it. Maybe then I’ll rate this app 5 stars.

Best cal app I've found, until subscription fees.. Searched for a long time for a good calendar app. This app has great a great week view and templates that are great for shift work, easy editing and a great look. I had paid a one time fee years ago for the app. And now bombarded daily by subscription pop messages. Looking for a new app

Will no longer use this app. I made the decision to end my use of WeekCal on both my iPad and iPhone. You move to a subscription based service to provide full access, after originally paying for the full version that was supposed to provide full access, has soured my opinion of your company and the platform. Had loved this application up until this point.

Used to be the best. Taking forever to fix rolling event issues. I understand that troubleshooting may take some time; however, it’s been two months and I’m paying for a feature that I can’t use.

Boom! Just like that what you pay for is gone. I had purchased this for my iPhone 3GS because it was superior to Apple’s calendar. And since then it has worked great for me. Today I was in a meeting, and I felt like a fool because I was not able to schedule my next appointment with the vendor. It kept on bringing up the upgrade to pro screen. After trying a few times, I realized that the app now requires me to spend $10 per month to make or view appointments for next month. I feel scammed. I paid for it and now it no longer works unless I pay more. The functions that I paid for are gone. This must be against Apple’s terms of service. Fix this, make it work for those who have already paid for what you took away, and I will fix my review to reflect it. Otherwise, the 1 star reviews will keep on piling up from users every day. People make mistakes. You made a big one here. But people can always learn from their mistakes and fix them. If you do that, then the people who have you their money will forgive you. Don’t fix it, and you will suffer.

Dont update, Do not download. Please stop asking us to contact support via email for help. We dont need help. We are unhappy of the service we paid already.

Upgraded and now I can’t use app I paid for. Paid for this app years ago. Very happy. Get the latest upgrade and without any warning most features are disabled without a yearly subscription. I discover this during my work day while I’m trying to book a meeting. 1. Paying $10USD/year for a calendar is way overpriced. Why is there a subscription for a calendar? 2. Forcing people who have already paid for the app is ridiculous. This is not what was agreed to when the app was purchased. If you want to go that route, discontinue the original app and create a new one. 3. Ripping away features in an upgrade without any warning is a very bad way to do this. I looked really unprofessional not being able to use my own calendar.

Stay away from this app !. After paying for the app in the past, the app creator keeps ‘pushing’ all to a subscription! Doing that by moving some of the main features (like mini-calendar) to the subscription-only is a shame!! Stay away from this app! there are many other (and reliable) calendar options. (Apple built-in calendar is great as it is)

Month view that I originally paid for is gone. The latest update has removed the ability to view months other than the current (month view) without a subscription. I originally purchased the full version of the app with the month view. Yes, I know... you've switched to a subscription model. Features that your users paid for prior to the switch to a subscription model should not be removed.

Update turns existing feature into PAID feature. Week Cal was one of the first apps I ever bought, years ago. It WAS great. I bought for it before it even offered the annual subscription. The introduction of Week Cal’s paid subscription didn’t bother me until the latest update to the app whereby now one of the EXISTING functions (ability to scroll to the next month while in month-view) is now part of the PAID subscription. I’m not going to pay an annual fee just to flip to the next month. This is ridiculous.

You ruined it for $. Your drive to make a buck ruins the app I will be deleting it rather than pay 19 bucks

Very Greedy. I also bought this app many years ago, and now I have to pay yearly just to continue using it. For an app I used to rave about, now I’m annoyed I suggested.

The only digital agenda you’ll ever need ❗️. …thanks for the price drop 👍 Simply the BEST

iOS Update solution. I’m not a fan of paying for an upgraded app and then being told to pay for a subscription. But this is still my favourite calendar app. Then came the iOS update and my calendar was glitching and wouldn’t let me passed a faulty add event screen. I found a way to fix it! Go to WeekCal in your phone’s settings and in the calendar option select full access. I have no idea why ‘add events only’ is the default option. But I can once again access my calendar (minus the subscription features I refuse to pay twice for).

I’m done!!!. After years of using this app almost every feature is now a paid subscription! I can’t even use view my monthly calendar anymore with the latest update Not worth the money

Crashes with iOS 13.. The latest update re the delete button is a pain. Get rid of the splash page. I use this to be focused and efficient. You're distracting me extra steps and distractions like the splash page.

Not bad, but too expensive. It’s ‘ok’. But $50 every year to be able to double click to see day view?!?!

Disappointed. Loved this calendar for many years, after the latest update I see month view is only allowed if you go pro. I am not paying $51.99/year. Delete.

I feel duped and now have a LOT of work to do for trusting this app!. I lost everything. I paid for this app. So not impressed. I have to call doctors to find out when my appointments are that I set a year in advance. The app decided all the useful features are suddenly, with no warning, available now at more per month than I paid originally once. This feels like keeping me hostage. NOT impressed. Don’t get this app unless you want to pay through the nose. Even if I was wealthy I would not spend money on an app that may suddenly decide to hold all my information hostage for even more money! Who runs this thing - cyber ransomeware people???

Love the look and ease of use!. I have been using this app for several years and love it! It syncs perfectly with Google calendar and I really like having several calendar view options to switch between. Color coding for all of my family members and/or events works so well. This is the only calendar app I use and I wouldn't trade it for anything! (On a side note, the one time I had a question about a recent update, I received a response from the developer within an hour. Super fast and helpful until the concern was resolved.). Highly recommended.

Used to be the best, now I can barely use it. I have had this calendar for years and purchased it prior to the subscription plans they have now. Although I understand the need to pay for certain features of the calendar, the parts I paid for originally are no longer available. I can no longer look at the next month’s date without a popup for a subscription coming up. Every time I want to see a previous month or next month, I can’t do it, it asks for a subscription upgrade every time. It gets really bothersome towards the end of the month when I want to see what happens tomorrow or the next day, only to be blocked by the subscription popup. It’s really sad that you punish your original paying customers by blocking them from using the app in a realistic way. You pushed me towards using another app…..

Stop taking functionality away. I’ve been using this app for years and have always loved it…until recently. I paid for the app originally and while I understand the switch to a subscription-based service, I can get the functions I need for free with another app, just in a slightly less attractive format. Every time it updates, I lose some very basic functionality that really shouldn’t be restricted. Every time, I lose the ability to use a widget (without subscribing). A few times, I lost the ability to see 2 months ahead (without subscribing). I’ve even lost the ability to see the month view. So far, those functions have returned after a few days to a week, but it’s really inconvenient in the meantime. And every time (including this one, as I still can’t use a widget), I’m stuck wondering if the app is ever going to be usable again. I’m really fed up. Either they always forget to check for the same bug before releasing an update, or they’re making an app that I paid for unusable because I won’t give more money. Either way, at this point I’m so unimpressed I wouldn’t subscribe anyway.

I like this app, but the reminders are not working well. I really like this app, but I upgraded to the full version to get the reminders. This is where it falls flat for me. I currently use fantastical and though a basic app, I like how the reminders work as this is what keeps me on track and gets things done. The problem I’m having with the reminders in weekcal: 1. They don’t change if you have to put them in a new time/day slot. I have to go to my fantastical to get the time and day to change on WeekCal. 2. On fantastical I can custom set the days of the week of a reminder for recurring days like you can an event. In WeekCal I cannot. 3. Fantastical will show non-completed reminders the next day, where WeekCal does not. 4. In fantastical when adding a reminder I only have to type in “task”, “reminder”, or “to do” and it automatically turns it into a reminder. I do like the different views in WeekCal. But the bells and whistles don’t mean much if it’s not functional for me. I’m on the trial period so I will probably cancel and go back to using fantastical. If they had better reminder features I’d pay the extra.

App seems unsupported now - used to be 5* now 1*. I’ve used this for many years and am quite dependent on it - it displays calendars like no other and is infinitely customizable. But! Search has been broken for months and support seems oblivious to just how important a feature this is. They answer politely but do nothing. It seems they no longer have interest in maintaining the app. I’ve had to buy and load a second calendar app just to use the search. Alas its other features don’t match weekcal so now I have two loaded which seems stupid. My original review —Of all the apps on my phone, I'm most dependent on this one. It is a great calendar, with terrific customization options. I couldn't be happier. It was one of by best purchases when it first came out, and each upgrade makes that first investment more and more of a no brainer. Really terrific. I should say I’ve used this for a decade now - very happy

In “month view” navigation bugs. 1) In month view we used to be able to tap on a grayed-out day for the previous or next month, and be taken to that day in that month’s view. For the last few updates, this feature is broken. Instead, it takes you to a random different date in that month’s view. (example: in October 2021 I can see several grayed-out dates for November 2021 at the bottom of the month view. I tap on the 3rd of November, and it displays November 2021 BUT the date selected is NOT the 3rd.) 2) Many issues with swiping right in month view, to navigate from October 2021 to December 2021. The app gives me the month view of December 2000 instead.

Everything I was looking for and more!. I absolutely can not say enough good things regarding this calendar app. The calendar has multiple views, easy navigation, a color system allowing me to easily assign a color for each family member so I can quickly see who needs to be where and when. But, what I appreciate the most is the fact that every time I have contacted customer service regarding an issue or a specific question I have an answer/response usually within the hour. I have recommended this app to family and friends and will continue to do so!

Updated to four Stars now. *updated 24 Sept 2020- Thanks for pushing out an update that restored previous purchase users. I have updated my rating to 4 Stars because that issue shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Old title (Use to be a Great Calendar) Old Review- Very sad to see with the recent update that WeekCal wants you to pay for the pro plan. What happened to those who purchased the unlocked version? I’m not going to pay for a calendar that I have already paid for. This is greed on top of greed. Very disappointed!

Indispensable Despite a Couple of Bugs. I have been using Week Calendar Pro for several years, and have found it to be indispensable. Periodically, I have found bugs along the way that I have reported. Most have been fixed, I’ll be at after a several week to several months wait. The only thing that they can’t seem to fix is the weather calendar from their weather store.I have been asking them to fix it for as many years as I’ve been a subscriber, they keep promising, but never address the problem. I suppose that should be my worst problem with the app, since for me, in all other respects it is terrific.

Better than the others. I have been using Week Calendar for years and love it. It’s month view is unique and essential for how I organize my time. I love the many customizable colors and viewing options. I have used its many many special features to the max to create color coded calendars for my work team. I can invite others to events or take screen shots and send them out and everyone is on board in visually sensible layout. The makers are always improving it and clearly care about the usability of their product. It’s the real deal. I recommend it all the time and none of us ever look back.

Good, but.... Having events on Holiday calendar as Read Only takes away my right to choose the events I want to be displayed on my calendar. You now have many non holiday events on the calendar and I should be able to delete the ones I’m not interested in. Additionally, since the update to support iOS 13; have not been able to retain custom colors on my iPhone. Works just fine on my iPad. Have even tried to install them from a backup file. Get message saying install was completed, but nothing changes. Reported the problem to Support over a week ago and got no response. This is not the app & support I’ve been used to over the last 6 years or so.

Constant ads in purchased app. I’ve already paid for this app yet they keep giving me ads for their “pro” nonsense that no one wants and they think I’m going to pay even more money for a subscription. NO! This used to be the best calendar app but with all these ads, I can no longer recommend it. Also the latest version of the app is now sending useless push notifications, almost like tips saying “download the app on all your devices” and “check out this feature” but they serve no purpose other than annoy me. There is no way to stop them without disabling all notifications all together. This app just keeps getting worse and worse. The develops need to understand we don’t need tons of new “features” and changes. We just need the basics we’ve already paid for to keep working the same way they always have been.

Frustrated. I know that you have responded to my emails with more emails. I know that is your protocol and for most users that may be great. However, your directions on how to fix your app don’t match with my phone or with my abilities. Frustrated beyond belief as, when working” it is by far the best calendar app. However, not being able to use templates, not being able to eliminate an entry, and the app actually losing entered events has broken me. In an act of desperation to want to keep using this app I even foolishly signed up for your Pro edition hoping that would fix things. Alas, no! Please cancel my recent (just last week) purchase of your Pro subscription. I am moving on to Informant 5 regretfully. You have been courteous and patient with me, but not helpful. For a calendar app to be valuable, it has to work. Regrettably, yours does not. When you get done sorting things out with Apple, you should let them know they cost you not only customers but fans.

Formerly the Best Calendar App. When I first found this app, it was the greatest calendar app I knew of with wonderful features and convenient settings. Then, the developers jumped on the bandwagon with all the other greedy app makers out there and added a subscription. At first, I got to keep most of my old settings even though I didn't have the subscription, but there were limits to what I could change. Then, the app kept crashing before fully opening after the new iOS update. I uninstalled the app and installed a move updated version, and that was the day the calendar became unusable for my purposes unless I wanted to pay for the subscription. The mini month was my default view previously, but it is now one of the many subscription only features.

Update: app is working again. They fixed the bug. I’ll bump my 1 star rating to a 4. I would have given 5 but app makers who do updates that take away use of the app that I’ve paid good money for haven’t earned a 5 star rating. *********** I’m giving this a 1 star until the app makers fix the bug in the latest update that now says I have to pay another subscription fee for Pro on top of the subscription fee I already paid a few months ago. Since customer service can’t get back to me on the issue, I’ll leave this review instead until it’s fixed. And whoever sent out the update that broke the calendar, shame on you!

Terrific program, terrific customer service.. I wrote a five star review several years ago and the app has continued to work seamlessly enabling me to keep track of a busy and fluctuating professional practice. With the download of iOS 13.1 the app crashed. I communicated with customer service over multiple emails. They responded rapidly and with various suggestions and the situation was resolved with an app update. A pleasure to have my weekcal back again. I can’t think of a reservation I have about the app or customer support. It has my absolute endorsement—I’d give ten stars if I could. Actually, I just did with 2 five star reviews😂.

Great app now that bug is fixed. Update Mar 31: 2020: they fixed the search bug!! Earlier: Good app until search bug appeared. I maintain a calendar in Outlook for windows like a journal, and have 30 years worth of memories that I sync with iPhone. Searching 30 years of data to relive memories with friends was a great function of the app. Now, seemingly as a result of an iOS update to 13, the search feature will only search the last year, which is worthless for my needs. I have notified the developer and they acknowledge the issue. Hopefully a fix is coming soon.

Used to love the app, not so much anymore. I have been using WeekCal for several years now. It is still, by far, my favorite app. Perhaps at because I’ve grown accustomed to the layout or maybe because it truly is the best for me. Regardless, I hope to see continued improvement for this app. I give it 3-stars because in the last year I have noticed that the app takes hours to update, when I make changes they won’t stay, it is slow to populate information (update or not), and least of all, I’m unable to send feedback in-app because I removed the iPhone default mail app. The visual updates have been great, the Cally update was useless to me, and I’m concerned future updates will continue to brick this once great utility. Please update or find the issues.

Last update didn’t fix bug. I have a problem with the current version. I use this app to schedule my appointments and I just hit the address of the appointment and go. Problem is the address is almost all the time duplicated. This means once I get to the street the GPS drops me somewhere on the street and won’t display the house address. Minor annoyance that I hope will be corrected soon. Have gone back to native Apple calendar until fixed. Only problem is I sometimes find it necessary to use Google Maps instead and the Apple app doesn’t give that option. Please fix.

I used to love it. I purchased it several years ago. I liked the format and simplicity with a way to add color and icons. At the time I thought it was the best. Lately I get a lot of strange things happening. Some times it will not go forward a month, it comes up blank or jumps back several months. Sometimes I have greyed out littering saying different labels birthday, st Patrick’s day for no reason. You can’t access or delete. I’ve reported but I don’t get a response. I still like the format better than the calendar that comes free with Apple. Maybe if you buy the new pro maybe it would not happen but I paid for it once that should be good enough.

Best calendar app out there. No other app has the functionality and flexibility to change the calendar view settings and customize the look. Incredibly valuable for the power calendar user where this app makes its sooo easy for me to manage nearly 2 dozen different iOS, Outlook and google calendars. I have a few issues with the new "meeting invitation" function but I believe it's due to my mail settings and need to dig into it to figure it out, but I don't have those problems with the native iOS calendar app. No other calendar app even comes close! It occasionally just crashes but not too often.

Loved this app until recent IOS update - contacts issue. I have used this app as opposed to the Apple cal app for years. Since the most recent IOS update - when making an appointment- my calendar will not recognize my contact names in the invitee contact prompt - they just spin. I have to manually enter the email and then when my family receives - they don’t see within their calendar app - they have to accept within their email. I have checked and this steps works perfect within my Apple calendar. My IT engineer within my firm has checked all of my settings - and he is certain it’s a flaw within Week Cal app. I emailed through the app help section yesterday and received a reply - working on and will get back to you - and have heard nothing. Is anyone else struggling with the same issue?!!!

Bait and Switch - loss of functionality. I purchased this app and have been using it for a few years. It did everything I needed with little issues here and there ...until today. The company introduced their $7.49/yr pro version. It’s fairly cheep for each payment, but certainly not once you use it year after year. The app now costs $35+ after 5 years. Not so cheap anymore. The app has had its little quirks that other reviewers mentioned and I’ve put up with. At times it fails to load any stored appointments and the app has to be forced closed and reloaded to sync properly - I lived with it. There are some clunky menu and appointments featured (GUI), but not really bad or any deal breakers. No app is perfect, but this came pretty close - until today. The previous swiping method to move across months was removed and replaced with the “pro version” pricing option. Sorry - but no. This is not acceptable to me. That little feature makes moving across months to check a calendar or review previous entries much more tedious during a busy day. I would completely understand changing your pricing structure for new purchases, but not existing customers. You’ve lost a user as a result. It’s been a good run.

Recent Crashes. I love this app, especially the ability to set up rules that automatically apply an icon for different types of appointments – something I have not been able to do since I stopped using my old Treo! Only three stars for two reasons: First, lately the app has been crashing almost as soon as it was opened. Maybe this has to do with Apple’s OS updates, but this app needs to update to get in synch! Second, after years of using the app, I paid for upgrade to the “full” app, but perceived no difference at all in the available features.

Why has it started crashing???. I have used and loved WeekCal for a long time. Like a decade or however long it’s existed. And it has been so helpful to me. But for the last several months, it’s constantly crashing and freezing and I don’t understand why. It will just stay stuck on a black screen for several minutes, or the days or weeks will freeze. It’s really annoying and frustrating. if it’s something to do with the compatibility of my phone, then that is also annoying, because I don’t wanna have to buy a new iPhone to make my calendar at work when I have no problems with other apps or the phone in general. I have an XR with iOS 16.4.1. If there’s any guidance on how to get it to stop crashing and freezing, I would appreciate it.

Brilliant!!!. This app is awesome!!! I've got a pretty busy schedule and work with multiple calendars that I access from my iPhone, ipad, laptop, & pc. This app integrates great and has become my definitive source. You can make quick entries when in a rush or go into painful detail with recurring, color coded, day & time specific, etc. appts/tasks. And if all that isn't good enough for you, they can be setup to "rollover" until completed. Developers are constantly making bug-free updates that make the calendar even more efficient. Awesome updates…Kudos to y'all!!!

A Hot Mess - Find an alternative. Update: The developer keeps releasing meaningless update after meaningless update just to game the review system and clear out negative reviews. RUN, don’t walk from this app. I’ve been using this app for years. It’s been great. Now the developers have switched to a subscription model. I question the decision to make things like basic navigation (swiping between days/weeks/months) a “premium feature” behind a subscription paywall. At the very least, existing users should have been properly grandfathered in to allow them to use the app as they have all along. Despite what the developer is saying, there are numerous reports of basic app functionality breaking for long-time users. Additionally, I cannot find a list of what functionality and/or features are now hidden behind their subscription. Not listed in the App Store, nor on the developers website. I get that app development isn’t free, but I don’t like a subscription model - I’ll gladly pay more up front if the app serves my purposes well. This whole situation, however, has been horribly mismanaged by WeekCal. I’m not updating and will be looking for an alternate calendar app that is made by a more honest and forthcoming developer.

Current Version Buggy!. Have used this app for many years (I was an early adopter) and have always loved it. I upgraded about a week ago and in the last week have experienced a number of frustrating and functionally prohibitive bugs. Have tried all obvious troubleshooting to no avail. The biggest issue is trying to edit a yearly repeating event causes app to crash no matter what! The other two main issues seem to revolve around setting repeating or multi day events: in both cases, selecting a date range (i.e. having an even last “2 weeks” or repeating “yearly”) will be off in timing by a few days. My attempt to create a 2 week event created a 15 day event and my yearly repeat kept trying to set itself to repeat a few days prior to a year. I used both of these features regularly and I know this is not how they normally behave. Please address! Thanks!

Best calendar ever. I would be totally lost without this calendar. I’ve been using it for many years, and I’m sure there are features that are features I do not know about. I like how I can keep things separate as well as alarm options, plus much much more. There’s one small thing that has been happening lately. Sometimes, when I go to the app, my whole calendar is blank for that month. I scroll to the next month and things are there. When this happens, I have to close the app a time or two for it to show. Hope that gets fixed.

Still the best. This calendar still does it for me. I use week view mostly and it is clear and easily navigated. Inputing new events is fast, copy and paste an old event even faster. Tap and drag to change a time or day. The new mini month view is amazing in the amount of information packed into it. The late lamented month view was such a sweet tweak of ical it is a shame apple couldn't take being shone up. These guys are always improving this. I fear some day they will go too far but they give you so much control that may never happen. You can't beat the price either. I spent some money on a moon calendar just to send them a few more bucks.

Shady tactics! 😡. I had previously bought this app, been using it for years, and have been very satisfied. That is, up until this last update. What used to be part of the app (after one-time fee) now requires you to pay $7.50/yr. You can’t even use basic features, like scrolling to other months, without paying for this premium version! Every time I try to scroll to Aug 2018, I get a pop-up window requiring me to subscribe and pay. If I don’t, it takes me right back to Sept. If they’re going to charge for special features (especially ones that separate them from the rest of the pack), that’s one thing. But the fact that we’re now being charged for something that’s basic to all calendar apps feels so shady. This app has been so part of my daily routine, that I’ve been debating for the past few days if this new charge is worth it. But alas, I can’t help but feel betrayed and so will be looking elsewhere for a daily calendar.

USED to be the Best. Correction: I previously posted the review below, but I erred when I said it only searches in current year...it does go a little further but I’m I don’t think it’s quite 12 months. This has been my go-to app...unfortunately they changed it and now you can only search within the current year. I contacted support some time ago, and they said they are considering reinstating that feature but have no idea when that decision will be made. I rely on that feature and just had another opportunity to need it. I guess I need to look for another app. It’s sad because it used to be so good!

I finally found it!. This calendar is very user friendly and well organized. I love the alerts, I can remind myself the night before and again in the morning of the appointment. For a busy senior, with a more senior husband to remember for, this calendar is so important to me. I love that it is backed up on line, so I can depend on it even if my phone would be lost or on the fritz! This is absolutely my favorite App. Great support, too! Great support too! The longer I use it, the more indespensible it becomes!!! I have been using it for about four years now I think, and it is indispensable! Makes my expensive smart phone worth the money!

Recent Updates. I don’t like the changes you recently made to the app. I’m not sure if it’s a problem that only affects me or not. I have birthdays set on yearly repeat. When trying to go in and make changes on the alarm( I wanted to delete it), it is not bringing up the edit on the screen. And when I was adding something to my calendar yesterday and needed to make a quick change, it did the same thing. After trying again, it did come up. I need to have edit available for each and every kind of entry on the calendar. Common sense says it should be there. This is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately. Corrections will always need to be available for every entry because we all can screw up an addition at any time and need to change it.

No longer worth using (update to review). I’ve been a long time user and like many I paid for the app many moons ago. With the most recent update, you now have to pay a subscription to do just about anything other than very basic functions. I understand these are tough times, but this is an unacceptable practice. I’d rather purchase an app outright than pay a monthly or annual subscription. I dislike the subscription system now a days. If you’re looking for a calendar app, this is no longer the one to choose. Update 28 Sep 2020: The app normal features have been restored to the app. I have access to the views I like without the annoying Pro- subscription pop-up. My rating will reflect this change now, and I’ll start using the app again.

Look No Further!. This is it! Look no further. It's the smartest, easiest, most intuitive and user-friendly weekly calendar in existence. There it is, my whole week laid out right in front of me...fantastic! I love this app! ...Just love it! I've been using this app for years and won’t even consider using anything else. My medical clinic use their own scheduling app and it is useless compared to this one. I have complete satisfaction and couldn't be happier. This is no joke: 5+++++ well-earned stars. (Another thing: I contacted them once by email and they got back to me within a day and personally addressed my question -- very impressive.) Don’t hesitate, get it and you'll be the one giving this app five stars.

Excellent! Remarkable! There's nothing better!. This app is incredibly well thought out. It is simple to set a repeating appointment with complicated parameters, for instance, the third Tuesday of every month. The Search function lets you find appointments quickly, and there is a function that takes you to any day you select instantly. There are many more clever features for you to discover. Customer Service is quick, accurate, and they always are polite and professional. I’ve been using the many iterations of Week Calendar for several decades and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Love it. I love this calendar. I am an Apple user and sync this across all my devices. I am a therapist and need to be able to book clients on the go so whether I'm on the phone or at home using my iPad or computer I can enter appointments and no it will show up everywhere. I like the ability to colorcode my appointment so I can very quickly see whether they are personal, work related, doctors appointments or other. I also like the fact that I can "invite" participants thereby allowing me to remind my clients of their appointments. I highly recommend this app with no reservations.

The Perfect Calendar App. I love this calendar beause it's one of the few that has an agenda view, not a list for each day, but seven (or eight) calendar blocks with events shown. I can't justify paying the high price of something like Fantastical, or some other expensive monthly subscription as I'm not part of a team. This gives me all the features and ablity to customize all that I want. I've used all versions of this app and absolutely love it. I did have some issues with the desktop app which was fixed almost immediately after I submitted a problem ticket via Apple. Kudos to the developers for a great app and excellent service!

Better Screen Views. The New Appointment window adds: Notes, Contact (regarding Appointment), & color coding that's mega great. Multiple screen views easily accessed: Go to Date, List & Search, Day, Agenda, Week, Month, & Mini Month (like Outlook). Also a Year Calendar totally missing from iCal. By changing settings you can also rotate your iPhone to go from Day to Week, or Month to Year. Super program. You can automatically add color to any entry via pre-programming the phone (via phrases, person, or title)for quicker access and/or review of topics. [Red: have to be there; Yellow: medical stuff; Blue: Automotive; Sky Blue: Skiing]. Just some examples. Enjoy the program.

I don’t get it…. OK so the app actually deserves four stars minimum, but I’m giving it one to accentuate this simple point-I messaged them and ask them this question and they gave me a stupid answer like we can’t Satisfy all of our users requests, which is ridiculous. What I asked was simply one of the features that was in the iPad app be available on the iPhone and vice versa with a different features, it’s super simple and easy to do I don’t get why they don’t do that because that simple thing is a huge problem for me. I want to see only three days or four days in my week view on the iPad app, and I want to Be able to choose multiple events in order to move or copy them in the iPad app both of these are respectively available in the other one… Seems ridiculously simple to just add the features especially since I already paid a lot of money for both of the apps! Fix this dammit!

Alert Issues. I would give this app five stars but the alert function never works. For example, when I create an event, even though I select one day for the first alert and two hours for the second alert the app ALWAYS changes the first alert to two hours. It doesn't matter what I select for the second alert as swaps or transposes the first and second alert each and every time. This has to be one of the most frustrating apps I've ever dealt with. I like this calendar but multiple options for alerts is useless to me. Please fix this issue!

Almost Perfect. I have been using this app for at least five years now. Each version has improvements and it is the best to sync all my different work, personal, kid, school, sports teams, etc calendars. The only thing missing is that when I send calendar invites from the app for some reason I cannot figure out my global address book doesn't work so I end up having to type out each email address separately. This is slow and there is a lot of room for error. I would prefer that the calendar can access my global address book so I don't have to do all the re-typing.

No longer recommend this app. July update speaks volumes about the direction of the app and the developer. It appears the prior award winning developer who created a great product and user experience sold it to a “monetizer” who may not have the capability or desire to do either. It just feels trashy now with all the sales pitches. Their redesign removes many features that I already paid for behind a new subscription model. Every change they make to the app seems to make it worse. Those awards they are splashing over their marketing were earned by the prior developer. While I haven’t yet deleted this app I’ve used reliably for years I have stuffed it into a folder and stopped using it as I found an excellent replacement by a great developer. If you liked what this app used to be I highly recommend ‘Calendars’ by Readdle!

STILL very buggy. I've had this app for a very long time and love it in general. However for the past several years it has remained very buggy when I try to go back to the previous date and remove entries. When I start scrolling to the day before, the calendar entries starts spinning and spinning and spinning. I have to actually tap the today button to get it to come back to today’s date and then slowly go back to the previous date and start deleting entries. This is something that needs to be fixed, and I was told it would be on the next update which was actually years ago. It’s still a great app, probably one of the best ones out there. But it does need work that should be corrected. Thanks

Very Good App–almost perfect!. This app provides different options that many of the other calendars do not offer, including the Apple’s resident calendar. One option that I have sought after for a very long time is an app that will allow you to search from the beginning of your calendar entries and notes. This one does!!! One simply has to open the search button at the bottom of the main page and select the settings wheel at the top, then choose the Start & End calendar dates desired. This may have to be done at different times, however, since I have not yet learned how to make my choice the default. Learning this would make this app almost perfect.

Echo. I will echo what I keep reading. Not the same since the iOS 17. As many have reiterated, I’m a long term user who went paid because I felt your product was better than other calendar apps. Extremely functional, visually appealing, and innovative. It still has more visual appeal than my iCal app, but that’s not a high bar. I miss the other features (icons instead of dots for the month view, optional repeat until a task finished, etc. I am not a programmer and I’m certain the task is complicated, but without the unique features of the app, I’ll have to go elsewhere when it’s subscription renewal time. You also are doing a lousy job of informing all of us who have dutifully sent our email address hoping for some information.

Best calendar app ever!. Out of the various electronic calendars and calendar apps I have tried, this has been the best, and is now the only one I will never use. - Excellent options for layout, including one week at a time (which looks like a paper calendar). - Able to adjust in multiple ways, including the number of hours (and the specific range) shown in the normal view. - Shortcut menu that makes quick work of common options, such as color coding events (I use different colors for: work, personal, and medical); copying and pasting an event; and sharing an event. - Since it is linked with the regular iPhone calendar, everything on that calendar automatically shows up on this calendar and vice versa.

Solid Calendar App. I've been using this app for several years now. I've found it to be superior to the stock calendar app that the Apple iOS provides. Like many people, I have a very busy schedule - and I use this app numerous times throughout each day. I particularly like the rolling events feature with the "competed" button. This allows me to use the calendar as a To-Do list of sorts. It also synchs seamlessly with the iOS cloud so that my laptop and iPad remain updated. When the reminder to write an Eval for this app popped up as I was preparing to make an entry, I realized how valuable and reliable this app has been for me. Example: I just purchased a new battery and I was placing a reminder for 42 months into the future to annotate the battery's end of warranty. I also will enter several custom alarm reminders in the months preceding that date to remind me to check the status of the battery. It's a great app that has become a big part of helping me track all of the important little details of a busy life. I'm not sure that I could give a better recommendation.

Mini Month Great!. I have used Week Cal for years and continue to use it because I can locate appointments over a 30 day period using the Mini Month View, which the Apple calendar only shows as dots. The reason I gave only 3 stars is because I find the settings too complex. Others may have the time to learn how to prevent holidays and birthdays accumulating over the years, or how to return calendars from overseas trips to local time and how to handle multiple calendars that appear, but I am too lazy to learn how in the absence of more accessible instructions from the app maker. If such learning tools are available, please let me know so I can start using them, and give you a higher rating!
