Great start. This is a terrific app that is quite a bit more approachable than the dozens of other band-in-a-box apps currently available. I would like to be able to record multiple notes per "track". The mixer and effects are fantastic, inclusion of a chorus unit would complete the suite. Can we expect some level of integration between the Sunrizer synth and iSequnce in the future? (and please don't forget about us 1G iPad users). Overall, iSequence is a solid offering that's far better suited to quick musical sketches than most others.

No Support. I purchased an add on pack and a drum set in the pack will not load. I tried to get help on the makers web site and their forum with no answer at all, in fact all the posts I saw on the forum were unanswered. The refund will come soon... thats an ironic statement friends.

Hopelessly outdated. ISequence HD has not been updated in a long while and likely won't ever see the rewrite users have been clamoring for but whose entreaties the developer has ignored. A year or so ago the app had appeal but the market and the technology of iPad music making has moved far and fast and ISequence HD is hopelessly outdated. Even at the frequently offered sales price you'll likely be disappointed with the meager return on your investment. Take the money you'd spend on ISequence and apply it to Cubasis. Unlike BeepStreet, Steinberg is actively developing Cubasis with regular updates and excellent customer communication.

Great app don't kill it. Instead give it a little more love... Inter app and or audiobus please.. I loved this app since it first came out the sounds are great..

No Sound Workaround. BeepStreet contacted me directly to report the problem is between the program and iOS 6, which he is working to remedy. he said the current workaround is to quit the program and delete it from the multitasking bar (double home) and start it again. this works perfectly. this procedure must be used after each sleep or quitting. i full well expect JJ at BeepStreet to have his fix soon and am a very happy camper. i LOVE this program. eating my original review: just as with BeepStreet's Pro Keys App, iSequence runs 1 time. let the iPad go to sleep or quit the App and open it again and there is no sound output. after no joy with 'contact' over Pro Keys, i won't bother trying again with this App. it's a shame because it looks so promising.

Great Sound and Easy to Use. I was looking for a 32 step polyphonic sequencer/song writer that could drive a Sunrizer iSynth. I checked out some of the others and decided to go with iSequence and I'm SO glad I did. The sound is rich, effects breathtaking, and the interface is incredibly easy to use. You can select external compatible devices by MIDI channel as easily as you would an internal instrument. I immediately downloaded the Beat Elements, Trance Waves, and Acoustic IAPs. Now I have a choice of 330 bell-ringingly clear instruments, kits, and sounds for the kind of music I am interested in. Only 8 events can occur at any moment. For polyphony you have to use multiple tracks. However, you can put any instrument/note combination in any track. So you can actually use dozens of different sounds in your song as long as no more than 8 of them play at one time. A helpful user guide is readily accessed. You can control the effects parameters graphically for each of the pattern steps. Automation is recorded live. This won't replace a computer workstation DAW but you can't take your workstation everywhere. All this is an unbelievable value. I was composing a beat within 5 minutes of purchase and may never leave the house again.

Super Intuitive Interface. I have bought most all music creation apps, and out of the box this was by far the easiest to jump in and start composing with. You can purchase more banks, but the sounds with the base app are solid, and I was able to completely compose, arrange, and mix a track within the first hour of use. There's also multiple export formats, and sweet effects. The ability to import would be nice too though, or copy/paste between other apps, like beat maker and 4 track. I want to add vocals to this track now, but will have to export to some other app in order to do so. Overall this app is certainly one of the best sequencers I've seen, but will have to continue using some others that support midi import for now. I hope they make some nice updates, this has the potential to be to my favorite music creation app with a few additions. Nice work.

Best use of iPad ever!. Hats off to Jaroslaw! This single app has justified the purchase of my iPad - and made the device even more difficult to put down. I'm a musician, and this app has unlocked a creative side of me I didn't know existed. The samples are quality! I love the ability to export via web browser. If you're on the fence about this app, get off the fence and buy the app. It's worth every penny!

Major fun. I love this app. It's extremely easy to use and the interface is one of the most intuitive for making music. Sure, there are some limitations with polyphony but as a musical sketchpad it's pretty awesome. The instruments are highly usable and there are a lot to choose from (165 to start). Plus, sampling, importing of other samples over wi-fi and the new bounce to sample feature really seal the deal on this one. I can't recommend this enough. If it were to ever drop to half-price I would give it 6 stars.

Okay but could be a lot better. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed with this one. It's good for what it does but it has the potential to be a lot better. The main problem is that you can't import your own samples so you're limited to the built-in sounds or the ones that you can download (for an extra charge). There are a lot of instruments but most of them don't sound that good. Also the interface is confusing: the distinction between a track and a group and an instrument is not at all clear or intuitive. Finally, considering the size of the iPad's screen, it would be nice if the keyboard and drum pads were larger.

Best Tool, PERIOD. I've tried every music production app available, and none have been as useful as iSequence. The best of MIDI style sequencing with the realism and sonic excellence of audio tracking. Instead of trying to use your music apps and synths through MIDI, record loops and bring the loops into iSequence to use in one of the three instrument modes, it all fits together seamlessly. If you use it properly, it is ROCK solid and has near zero latency. I freaking LOVE this app!!

Power drain. This app drained my battery from 100% to 6% in less than 2 hours. Otherwise pretty decent function wise.

Finally!!!. Shortly after waiting forever for an update we get two!! Over six months ago this was my favorite music making app, but I was disappointed that there was talk about updates and then nothing for months. So very happy to see some movement on this app. I still really love the way it works. So all it needs now is the same type of MIDI controls and Virtual MIDI that Sunrizer has.

Sample Import Has Serious Problems. This is a great program, and one of the best music making apps for iPad. There are lots of sounds to choose from and you can make professional music with this app. However, there are some serious problems with the new sample import feature: 1. You can only import one sample at a time. This makes importing folders of samples SLOW and PAINSTAKING. If you want to add your whole sample collection, it will take FOREVER. 2. The sample import function will crash the program if you take too long to add samples. You have to be really fast, otherwise the program will suddenly close and you will have to restart it. It can become frustrating very quickly. If BeepStreet can fix these issues, I'll change my rating to five stars. Otherwise, it only gets 4 because for me, the sample import feature is key. I hardly used it before they added that feature, because the built-in sounds are good but limiting. It sure would be nice if they added a synth and more effects. Just delay and a filter aren't much, and the iPad is certainly capable of much more.

Need AudioCopy. Awesome sounds in this app. I just need AudioCopy to work. Please fix. Thank you.

My most useful music app thus far. The more time I spend with iSequence the more I love this app. I feel the user interface design is well thought out and allows me to quickly develop musical ideas on go. With the option to record live, use step input or even record at half tempo it is really easy to put a track together. I also love the ability to export my loops directly to beatmaker or looptastic (via audioview) and play them live. Some of the factory sounds are little thin but plenty of good sounds to work with (with the upcoming sampler this won't be an issue for me). The effects are pretty nice and the ability to record the knob tweaks live or create and adjust automation envelopes with just the drag of a finger is fantastic. The developer has always been quick to respond to my questions and seems to provide excellent updates to his products. According to his website he is planning on adding a sampler with adsr envelopes enabling us to create our own instruments by the end of May. My only other gripe was the solo only keyboard but again the next update is bringing a poly mode. Well done!

Wow. I finally found a sequencer that functions like it should. ISequence allows you to paint songs or record your playing via keyboard or drum pads. The interface is logical and easy to use. This honestly is the only app out of the many that I bought and downloaded that allows me to get my song ideas down from beginning to end. This sequencer has great sounds and allows you to import your own as well. It just amazes me how this beats the socks off of the big boys. This is easy on the eyes, has great sounds, and actually allows a good sketch of your musical ideas. This is a sequencer with substance. It skips the eye candy that others feed you and get you want you need: music creation at your finger tips.

Really Super. In the 80's, is kind of functionality would have cost $1000. It's amazing that we have this level of functionality out of portable devices. This is a great addition to the arsenal of iPhone/iPad instruments. The upcoming improvements, both those stated by the developer and those that you can feel are coming (ability to loop groups of patterns?) will make it something special. The patches are very good and the export options outstanding. Good for the developer for trying to get some longer term income out of their hard work with sensible in-app purchases. I will give up a couple of lattes to support this work.

The serious ios music studio!. The iPad version of this app is miles beyond the iPod version. Any music studio app on these devices will be limited right now, but this one gets the closest to being dangerous in a good way :-) It takes a little time to get used to the hybrid tracker-style sequencer and instrument layout, but it is useful. Some great features are that you can chain patterns to make songs, record notes, easy save and move around data, and use your own samples. The GUI/UI is also commendable. I would love to see more effect types with more parameters, easier sample import, filters with envs for the instruments, automation of more parameters, editable parameters per drum pad (tune/decay/volume/pan), and drum sample selection on the fly. Also the mixer faders are sometimes non responsive. Thanks!

Amiga in a bad way the app has been ignored.. Sounds great but the interface is way too needy. Endless navigation takes the user out of the moment kind of thing ....dig?peace christo

Potential... As others have said, the WAV export doesn't sound very good, which is really too bad. And also an undo function, please, even one layer of undo.. I love this app's interface, along with sunrizer. However, the latest update makes them both horribly, horribly unstable (and a lot of stuck notes in sunrizer).. Sorry guys, until this is solved (or not) I'm switching to another DAW sequencing app. Shame, because this is what I want to be using to write tracks and the workflow in iSequence is quite intuitive.

Incredible upgrade. This is one of the best music apps for the iPad hands down. I felt that way with version 1, but the developers have not stopped there. With this new update, not only has the UI undergone a perfect update, but the new effects are awesome. The new sound packs are great and affordable. The only thing that could possibly make this app better would be the ability to record on more than 8 tracks (and maybe the ability to adjust the sequencer resolution), but even without those features, this is a phenomenal music production app. Do not hesitate to buy this! Well done developers, thank you for continuing to make a great product even better!

Pretty robust app. First of all...thanks so much for the update for ipad2. And thanks for the bpm buttons!!!! This is a pretty good in depth sequencer. Still learning all the tricks and hoping to import a lot of my Sony acid loops. The included sounds are just average, but I import all my real keyboard work anyway (wavs). Since I bought an ipad2 mainly for audio work, this app appears to be the most robust. GarageBand is little more than a toy, no control. This app is more conducive to creating real songs with complicated controls. Great app, thanks again. Looking foreword to continued support and future releases.

Very fun!. This program has a unique way of sequencing your music. It's kind of a mix between a tracker and a traditional piano roll base sequencer. You can get ideas down really fast because you don't have to navigate through menus. I really like this program but the sample management is a piece of crap compared to beatmaker 2. The midi out doesn't seem to work though wifi. You can't write triplets without a work around. Shrug, this program has great potential and I hope the developer gives us free updates.

Outstanding, love it!. I can't say enough good things about this app. It's a great way to lay song ideas down anywhere you happen to be. It's very intuitive, and the learning curve is minimal. Being a songwriter and composer, this app is powerful enough to do serious work with, yet simple enough to be able to use it easily. Best of all, the price doesn't break the bank. Very impressive!

Fantastic!. I have been waiting for a decent music sequencer for the iPad since I first got mine on the day they were released; and this one met most of my expectations. If you have experience with music sequencers on other platforms you will have a bit of an adjustment period. Once I got my head around the fact that a track was just 32 events, not tied to any particular instrument, I was off and running. It could stand for the addition of a few features and I will eagerly be awaiting future updates. It's limitations are well explored in the other reviews I have read. I find, however, that being constrained by limitations often leads me in new creative directions. I am used to paying several hunted dollars for computer sequencing programs so plopping down a few bucks for this App and a dollar for a sound banks didn't bother me in the least. Instead of listing all the problems with this App here, which others have done so well, I will be sending my suggestions to the developer with the hope that that they use some of my suggestions to improve this fun and quite useful application. iSequence has tons of potential!

A couple fixes would make this app best in it's class!. I use this app the most out of all my music production apps, I love it and the price was fair. However, there are a couple fixes that would make it just..... PERFECT! If iSequence had more tracks to play more than 8 instruments per pattern, that would help out a lot. Because more than 8 tracks per pattern do not exist, I'm forced the use more than 1 instrument per track, up to 4 at times , which can be continuously frustrating, because it limits the amount of times I can play an instrument during the track, and if the bpm is higher, there's even less you can do. Also, every time I start iSequence, it is already in record mode, this is extremely annoying, and have caused me to make unintended changes to my beats by merely holding the iPad. Then I have to exit the program or select another beat without saving the current state of the unintended changes. I love the fact that I can import my own sounds. Thanks beep street!

Powerful, yet accessible!. Excellent iPad app. I've enjoyed it much more than I had expected. The developer recently released a manual (available on website), which I recommend my fellow amateurs to look through. The exercises in the manual will bring even more value to your purchase. Many tunes will be brought to life because of this inspiring tool.

Love it.. Great app. Only one I know of that allows me to play my own samples live from my keyboard (with the camera usb kit). Some suggestions to make it perfect. 1. Midi learn function (like sunrizer) 2. Individual volume control for each sample (on the sample editor) a vertical line could be added for that function. 3. More than 12 samples per bank. I use the app live and sometimes I need more (or make a new app to play samples without a sequencer!)

Genome + Isequence. I really like the straightforwardness of genome. Genome pairs well with sampletank. Only there is a better use with Isequence which improves upon sample tank in so many ways. Sounds - gobs of sounds. You need to drop $40 for a sound package in ST. No way. But sampletank lines up with 4 midi instruments. This should work for isequence too. It doesn't. Set up a simple pattern in genome. You won't hear anything until you leave genome playing and enter Isequence. Hit top record and press screen. You now have a pattern playing, following finger taps. Hit bottom record and you have lines of the pattern running across screen. Having selected a drum parameter for instrument and you have some interesting tracks. Genome doesn't work with isequence as well as sampletank. There is no midi in on IS, only midi out is my guess. Still it is an interesting combination. And the songs in Genome will play on one instrument in IS. For making songs with measure accuracy which you don't have in IS, Genome becomes a good companion. I think there is room for getting them to work together. At least I hope so.

Hey Goldilocks.... Not to hard, not to soft. Not to hot, not to cold. This app is JUST RIGHT ! At least update for current iOS compatibility. "I'm working here!"

Oh the music you can make!. I've had this app for quite a while and never realized many of the things it can do. Tonight I recorded some samples into it, and learned to use per track filters. One of the samples was recorded using the iPad microphone. Two of the others were imported from Animoog. I think I can import from GarageBand, too. To get the delay and reverb just right I looped one of the pages and adjusted the knobs with the sound playing. It is that easy. There are some additional packs of sound samples, called banks, you can download into iSequence. To help you decide which one you want you can listen to an mp3 sample highlighting what is included in the bank. I think my next bank will be the techno. I do like the Beat Elements, too, though. You can listen to samples on their web site, also.

Problems w/ App for Orig iPad. IOS 5.1.1 for older iPads (for newest update of iSequence) Tracks are now 'skipping'. I.e., tracks start playing, and then there are 'dropouts' ( like when old LPs would skip, and notes would skip. ) This happens especially when there are more than 5 notes playing at once. Also, export & import functions both do not work. With export function, it appears to be converting the data, then reverts to the splash screen (which has the export function). Import function just doesn't work. No URL is offered for upload. Otherwise, it's a great app that I always use. I'll grade it after these items are fixed.

Need Bluetooth support. This app is great just need that Bluetooth support

THE Best. I sit on planes a lot. This is what I do and I love it. It's so much fun and the sounds are really great. Worth every penny. I wish I could bk up to drop box!

beyond a toy, but no tutor needed. I own just about every music app for the iPad. this one is the best by far. this app is very responsive and it looks great as well. i understand looks arent everything, but this app is very "ipad-like". as far as the music production, it is very robust but not too difficult. I figured out the interface in about 10 mins tops. beepstreet, thanks for the awesome software. I will buy everything you make from now on. I'm a fan.

Beast. The vast functionality and so-simple-a cave-man-could-do-it ease of use, makes this a must have app for musicians. The sampler is godly and saves me from having to boot up 6 different apps to use several different instruments in one composition. I wish I had found this earlier, it would have saved me a lot of money. Don't hesitate about buying this. You'll make your iOS production much simpler with this wonderful tool. I'm so impressed with this app that I will be buying your Sunrizer synth as well, despite not really needing another synth.

Small Improvements could make a Big Difference. This app was my first full music creator app and after a few days I have got it figured out. This app is fantastic for creating great songs however a few changes could make it even easier to use 1 An undo button- Not sure how this is not there 2 A more user friendly song sequencer- right now if you erase a pattern it goes away and I causes a lot of gaps in my song pattern. Also a way to switch the paternal by dragging them would help. 3. An easier way to bounce selections. If you could highlight a section and make it into one track without changing an instrument it would be easier. Also when I do bounce a selection it plays muted on the first track 4. Instead of notes, the names of the sounds in the drum presets and separate banks for the drum presets Another thing that would make this app awesome would be to use all the synth presets from your other 5 star app "Sunrizer Synth"

Audio copy makes this even better!. Update: I can’t believe that 8 years later I’m still using this app and it’s still supported! Thank you!! iSequence is the gift that keeps on giving. Sure I bought it for myself, but months later the updates keep making it better and better. Audiocopy works perfectly with Multi-Track DAW, so no longer do I need to use Beatmaker on my iPad to lay down beats. Proper Multi-tasking support will make this process even easier! Can't wait for that to be added too. This is one of the most expensive apps I have paid for ($15+) that continues to be worth it! Can't recommend it enough. It's helped teach me how to make music.

Good, could be great!. I have had tons of fun with this app and created ideas for about 5 songs now, but I find myself needing the sample editor and more/better sounds. It will receive five stars from me when I am fully satisfied. Also, maybe have a community for users to share what they have created, for those of you who have used aurora, you know what I mean. I am looking forward to the future of iSequence.

Thank you for the update!. I’m so glad you decided to update this for iOS11. Thanks for standing behind your product.

Amazing. I kid you not when I say that now that this has updated to the current iOS. It is amazing and very well made. It's got great samples and so many effects and different ways to change and arrange and control. It's not perfect. Cuz if it was it'd cost hundreds of dollars. So for the price we pay it is great. The extra sound packs are amazing!! I've used them all but the loops so I don't know about those. Overall, a fun and enjoyable app that you can make full songs with.

No Bluetooth Headphone’s capability?. I purchased this synth and all its add-on Banks. I purchased it because I was listening to the synth through my iPad speakers. However, then I wanted to hear them through my Bose Headphones, and “silence”! Everyone of my dozens of synth apps use Bluetooth. I have been a professional musician for 35 years. I know my way around things, but there is no “setting’s” for Bluetooth? I use Headphones all day every day, so I want these great sounds to play in Headphone. I tried sending you an e-mails, but haven’t received a response. I read through all of your “Help” documentation. No where does it mention about playing through Headphone’s. The sounds are top notch, but this is not what I expected. Help please.

Old standby. Easy to use, great sounds. Get this app you won't regret it.

This is a great app.. Thank you for the much-needed update. I hope to see major updates in the future.

Excellent app but...... This is a very useful app. The sounds are excellent quality and after a few minutes was knocking out beats with ease, however, I would like to see audiobus and inter app audio added so it can be more easily used with other apps. Then I'll give five stars for sure. I've just realised that an "undo" or "back" button is badly needed in order to make things easier. Hope to see these in future updates.

Powerful, but limited.. Positivity first: this app is powerful, simple, and intuitive. It tool me all of fifteen minutes fooling around to figure it out and then I was making songs. HOWEVER. You can basically only do songs in 4/4. This is horrid for a lot of things I want to do with it. Being able to change the time signature within patterns would make this a 5-star app, but as-is I can only give it a 4. Bump it up to 5 if you loooove 4/4.

Very good!. Not only is it a descent sequencer it's a powerful play live instrument!! It has never crashed on my iPad 1G even with several other apps loaded which is quite a compliment to the developer since my iPad has 1/2 the app memory of all iDevices from the last two years. The built in help is very comprehensive. Good job! To post titled "No dice" there is a restore purchases button at the bottom of the same screen that you buy add ons from. Also, without providing what device you are using and what trouble-shootings steps tried (assuming any have been done) the post really isn't of much help to would be buyers (I chose to buy it anyway based on the other reviewers comments and I'm very glad that I did). Have you tried closing all apps except for iSequence HD? Have you reset your device? Have you tried deleting it and re-downloading it (and restoring purchases)?

Amazing. Fantastic app. Very easy to use. For those who have never used a sequencer this is a great way to get started. Simple to pick up yet offering incredible depth and power. If you're looking to get started writing sequenced compositions or just recording backing tracks to play along with, this is a solid option. I ride the bus to work each day and use that thirty minutes to either read, draw, or write music. iSequencer is a great way to express some creativity first thing in the morning or on the way home from work. Export is easy to do and can be used to integrate with other multi-track software. I use iSequencer to sketch out the landscape of a composition and then fill out the parts with piano, guitar, and voice.

THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE!!!. I almost cried when I lost this app to iOS 11. Thank you for making it work again! Even though it is still not compatible with AudioBus, I love it. Great app!!!

A step closer to music composition.. Thank you for such a wonderful piece of software. Composing music is more accessible to the lay person now. Highly recommended.

Great sound. Isequence produces nice sounds and is easy to use. There are 8 tracks to use, 32 steps and at least 12 instruments can be included. There are heaps of great sounding patches. The sequences can then be arranged into songs. I took one star off because it doesn't do different time signatures, but there is a work around for that. App Store and found this was the best. Overall this is a very good app.

iOS reports the app needs to be updated. Great app but needs to be updated, iOS reports "this app might slow down your device, the developer needs to update it"

Sweet. This is a quality app. I use it like an audio sketchbook. I throw my ideas down quickly with beats and bass lines, then work out the melodies over the top. Really quick and easy. I can get the core parts down in a couple of hours. I then export the key bits into Logic for further editing and record the more tricky bits to develop the rest of the song. The stock samples are ok, and there's limitations with sends and effects, but for a mobile device, it's fine. It's not a fully featured sequencer in the way Logic or Pro Tools are. I'd like to see a direct recording input option through the iPad mic, and the ability to import other audio files as a track to work over. That would be the icing on the cake.

Open menu broken ios7. For the sequencer I highly recommend this app as you can load your own samples, sequence them like a tracker, apply automation and effects and output to wav/midi or audio copy. However if you have ios7 I would recommend waiting for an update as only the left half of the open menu is displayed so while you can save your creations you cannot open them as that pane is cut off. I have tried reinstalling and rebooting my iPad to no success.

Update. Hi Guys, thanks for the crash update. Please fix UI bug on Song dropdown window on currrent iOS and new iPads. Also, it doesn’t arrange it alphabetically anymore. Please fix :) I imported all my projects from an old device and it didnt load it alphabetically. Would also like to request that when tapping the Song tab to pick songs it doesnt stop playback of current song. Also option to play in the background when leaving app window. I know there hasn’t been much update for this app but just stability for current ios and newer devices would be appreciated. I still use this on live shows on my iPad Mini 1 :( Thanks guys!

Love it. There's a lot to this app. There's a sight learning curve, but once you explore it for a bit, it doesn't take long before you can start building some really nice and pretty complex sequences. One of my favourite things about iSequence is the ability to break patterns. So, even though you can't adjust the time signature, you kind of can by breaking the pattern wherever you like. Most apps don't even let you do this, so it's gold for me. The only thing I wish it had is audiobus support. Hopefully in a future update!

Awesome music game and so much more. This is such an amazing app to make plenty of music. The only thing missing, there is always something, is the ability to record an audio track, be it vocals, guitar or anything at all. Thanks for a great app.

Crashes ALL THE TIME!!!!!!. I don't know what the cause is yet, but it seems like once you start adding effects (delay, reverb, etc.) to more than one track it crashes and sends you back to the home screen. This has happened on three of the beats I made utilizing my samples as well as the inboard kits. I've tried closing all other music apps running in the background and a bunch of soft resets. This app is a fail. BIG TIME.

Pretty good. This is actually a sweet little sequencer if you are only into electronic music. Which I'm not. My main beef is that the add-on instruments, though they sound great, suffer from some terrible glitches and limitations that the built in electro sounds do not. For one, the keyboard will effectively short out if you have not completely released a key before pressing the next. Secondly, if you select an instrument from the acoustic set and play along with something you have already laid down, the recording will fade and miss beats. These two problems can be worked around by composing with the original built in instruments and then changing instruments after you have recorded your track but that is incredibly irritating and hokey. Seems a bit shoddy to sell add-ons that are not fully functional and debugged. If it were not for this issue, I'd give it 4 stars or better.

Update. I love this app and have one simple request....could you please update this app for Audiobus 3...I would give this app a rating of at least 4 stars even though this app is old but it still shines.

Grrreat. Really a lot of fun. I will let the musically inclined comment on it's functionality. I could not say if this note was really that note, or timing of anything was wrong or not. I'm only capable of saying that it is really fun, I would say for the price ( I got the 4 xp packs maybe 6$ total ) they are not nesasary, but they enhance it. I have other studio apps some cheaper, some more expensive, if could only have one this would be it. Please note I rated other apps go by the date of review for my preference. I only had one small disappointment I should read before buying. I would really like more animal sounds from frogs rattlesnakes elephants donkeys and rosters, the more the better. Great start good luck with your development.

What an amazing app. This app satisfies in many ways. The price is worth it. The app is solid. I've experienced zero problems or crashes. A great design and neat interface make it easy to use and understand before reading any instructions. The additional sound banks are worth it to. I am very impressed. Could use a more robust quantize method, I feel limited with groove style, but other than that, stellar app!!

Cool App. Just loaded it up and was making music in minutes. Nice app!

Awsome app to create music on. This is a very powerful app. It's good for beginners and handy for professionals. Well worth the $15 dollar price tag. The coolest feature that I like best about this app is that it gives you the ability to record or import your own instruments. You can even create a full song by recording you own voice and add effects to it in this app which none of the other apps let you do in the app store. My verdict, a must have for an iPad if you are into music creation.

How come. How come there isn't any updates for isequence? I love the app and bought it when I had my iPod and I love it even more on my iPad. I have pretty much all the sets and just wish there was more to the app. I want to bring voice samples

Overpriced. This app is good, and its enjoyable to use, but its not worth $15. It's worth $10 at best. You only get 3 sound banks to start off. In comparison, there are 7 available for purchase at $1.99. That's potentially another $15 that BeepStreet would like to get from you. Although I enjoy the app, I get the nagging feeling of being duped. So for those who don't like that feeling either, I wrote this review for you.

Pretty cool but..... You cant load your own samples. Come on guys. This app is awesome otherwise. The soft synths don't have any settings to play with or automate either. However, you can automate the two hardwired effects locked to the 2 fx busses, delay and filter. I bought the expansion banks which soso. Wouldn't it be cool if you could load soundfonts!

Useful tol, great value.. Having several of their excellent music apps, I trust BeepStreet to make great-sounding and easy-to-use tools that are actually useful. The in-app purchases are reasonable and excellent -- I'm so sick of getting soaked by other designers and their pricey add-ons. iSequencer is a great value and recommended even without the extra sound banks.

YES!!. An amazing upgrade from the iPhone version!!

Long-time favorite. I have used this app off and on for over a year. It is fantastic! And the updates are very well-done. I also highly recommend one of their other apps, Sunrizer. It feels familiar in approach and interface. And since it's 50% off?! Jump on that!

Phenomenal. Really. Just download all Beepstreet software. This one is so feature rich, other DAWs are just catching up. The workflow is so straightforward, and the results sound so cool I feel like I'm cheating.

Silly reviewers. Kinda ridiculous to fault an app for charging $15 clams when it would have been a $3000 hardware workstation not too long ago. It stacks up well to the others charging a similar price, and is much easier to learn and use.

Great app, please don't abandon it!. I pretty much agree with the earlier reviews. This is a really, really good app. It's a lot of fun, and I've been very productive with it. I don't have any specific requests. I just don't want to see it orphaned. Please, developers, just keep giving it the attention it deserves!

Nice app seeking update. Nice workstation. I would like to see Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer support added asap. Then 5 stars all around.

Complete crap-crashes every 5 seconds. Seriously? This app works for about 5 seconds and crashes=completely waste of time and money. I'd like a refund, but I can't figure out how to get one, so I'm bummed i wasted my time and money on this completely useless app.

1 Thing would make this perfect!. This has EVERY feature you could ever need to make a whole song. EXCEPT A MIC! PLEASE ADD!

Excellent App!. This is the best iPad app So far! Pretty intuitive to use, easy to quickly lay down some ideas for songs. And easy to export to a computer. I'd like to have some really good guitar tones, but otherwise this is a 4 star app. Well done!

No dice. All of my in-app purchases disappeared. Paid $10 for extra instruments that are all gone. App constantly crashes. Want a refund.

Awesome. I have used GarageBand for years as my "sequencing" program on my mac so I was quite skeptical when I first downloaded this item, however, this app is very strong and fun to use on the iPad. It is well worth the $7.

Just about everything you need.... To create music and now with the edition of a sampler editor, this is way over the top. Would love more sampler effects and more editing features. Definitely a 5 star plus app!

Powerful and fun!. iSequence is a surprisingly powerful program! I didn't expect the iPad was capable of so much. With iSequence I can easily sketch out ideas, or compose complete songs anywhere, anytime. It's easy to use and has quit a lot of depth, not to mention an interface that doesn't get old. The extra add-on instrument sets are really good too.

Awesome!. This is one of the best music apps for the iPad. A must have in my opinion for anyone who wants to make some cool songs while on the go, plus you can export what you make back onto your computer in WAV format (Plus a few more formats) for further editing.

Nice Portable Music Studio. Does everyhting the others do but better. sounds are crisps and realistic. They don't sounds cheap or canned. Tons of options for instruments choices. This sequencer is second to none. I must say though beware...if you have questions for support and try to contact them. You'll be waiting awhile. Their support site/dept is terrible. I sent an e-mail question 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a response.

Crashes on sample import and recording. It crashes most of the times I try to record or import a new sample... Tried with different short samples and 99% of the time it crashed and I lost the project, No five stars for me

Beat Maker Extraordinaire. If you're looking for an App just for the sole purpose of creating beats, well look no further. This app combined with the "Beat Elements" volume is the best out there.

Crashes frequently on new iPad. Love the program and sounds but this needs to be more stable on the new iPad. I am losing too much work with frequent crashes. Update :I love the program but PLEASE take a break from Sunrizer for a few minutes and fix the frequent crashes!

Not for Professionals (YET). Simple yet powerful; complex yet intuitive; clean UI; rich sounds; could make a platinum record with this software. . . IF IT WAS STABLE. Decided to immerse myself in this app on an overseas flight. After about two hours I had created one of the most insane beats in my 25 years of producing electronic music without once referencing the manual or any tutorial. Was REALLY feeling this app and more importantly, the groove I cooked up with it. That is, until it CRASHED AND TOOK EVERYTHING WITH IT! GRRR!! (iPad 3, updated iOs, no other apps running) Developer: as ill as this app is, pros can't use it if it's unstable. Make it stable (& an TempAutoSave?) and I'll give it 10 STARS and send every producer I know a link to the iTunes store. PS: Extreme latency when recording is a serious issue as well - would prevent me from incorporating it into my live rig, fyi.

Good, but.... Crashed while using beat slicer. I didn't save file, so half my fault. Great program, very robust. Good for practicing you patterns and to see if producing is right for you before upgrading to more complicated software. Very low learning curve compared to Reason or FL. Have fun!

Dope.. It's funny how these people from one app maker, come and hate on the others...As an amatuer musician, it's easy to use, fun, and so far the most approachable of the 8-10 I've purchased so far. Right now it looks like it's on sale for $4.99 which is a steal, but even at 12 or 13 bucks its worth it IMO.

cant jam on it. this app is great 4 making loops. it takes 2 long 2 make a track. after 35 parts im sick of the sound im making. i will give it 5 stars when it has a live jam mode. it is a great app and is worth the money

Almost everything you need in a sequencer. They rose up to the challenge and snatched the crown. Overall a complete app, with everything you need to make a hot track. Devs did a fantastic job on the sample edit interface. Zoom in and out of wav form and the whole 9 . Woks flawless. Gotta love the recording and the wifi upload too. A VU meter would be appreciated for recording. Minor bugs reported. Thank you iSequence staff!

Too bad.. This is SUCH a beautiful app, such great quality sounds, so solid. Truly one of the best. If you guys would ever update it, I'd be all-in. No core midi, no WIST, no way to take this out of the box. I truly wish there was.

Great app. This is great app hours of fun. Add the ability to import your own samples and you've got five stars. Update: This update just made this the coolest app a have. Thanks for all the great work. If you keep going at this rate I'll have to find some way to give you six stars. I have way too much fun using iSequence ~8^)

My fav app!!. This is the best music app hands down!! I have hundreds of songs stored and it barely glitch!! Once in a blue but can't beat that. Some apps won't turn on. This is the most reliable vst!! GB and music studio are great apps too but this is the One! Won't be sorry!! Great buy!!

Great!. This is a really great app for making music. Lots of features and high quality samples. Help documentation requires Internet connection for some reason. Please keep the updates coming for 5 stars!

Very, VERY, good!. Great samples. Intelligent, capable sequencer though you really need to peruse the help screens because it ain't intuitive. Once up the slight learning curve it's the real deal though. The mixer is excellent and the layout is beautiful. A lot of capability in a not expensive package. Great stuff!

Best iPad music creation app, by far!. This is a seriously powerful music creation app, and my all time favorite app on the iPad. With the sampler, effects routing, and ability to import your own wave files, the possibilities on this thing are nearly endless! Only one request: add the ability to do 3/4 time somehow.

Wow. Better than I stated in my first review, I love this music production studio, cause this is not an app, this is very powerful.. I'm not saying nothing else but get this app take the time to learn it and you're gonna be amazed... Please add destructive audio editing, in the edit area and note repeat... That will make this app perfect for on the go ideas. Thanks but I still love the app

Oh yeah,. This is Rad! Love the update (user samples ect..) will be using this a lot for new projects. Thank you!

Looks Promising. Its a great idea to have the help button toggle between help view and the work station, but everytime I toggle from and back to the help view, the table of contents pops up and I lose my spot. Too tedious. Fix this and I'll continue learning the app and then give it more stars.

Help Recoving IAP Banks. Usually I'd give this app 6 out of 5 stars, but after installing 5.0.1 my in-app purchases have all disappeared (custom banks are fine, but every IAP in my songs gives "sample not found" errors. I restored purchases (time consuming - I have all of them) and it seemed to work fine - but upon restarting the app a few days later they are all gone again! Is this a symptom of iOS 5's memory "cleaning" function? Please Help!

Such a good sequencer with easy custom sample integration. So easy and fun to use. Such a shame it hasn't been updated. Get this thing on the audiobus with midi sync please!

Great App!. Thanks for the update, the addition of being able to create samples just made a 5 star app even that much better! This app is a must own for any music lover. Thanks!

Why why!. I love this app, it's my favorite sequencer, but After I updated it doesnt even get past the loading screen before crashing. A patch would be greatly appreciated

It's a couple of changes from perfect.. Add the ability to import / create sound banks, add polyphony and you're home w/ 5 stars. Until then, these tired, non-tweakable synths hold this app back from being anything more than a sketchpad. At least there's midi export.

If you take your time, you can do more than you might think. I would love to see Audiobus capability. I was concerned that odd time signatures might not be possible, but I found out otherwise. Nice sounds. App is a bit quirky and the knob response is weird, but the more I work with it, the more I like it.

Good. Please tell me I can change the tempo like before...

Unbeatable. Currently this app has no competition. You have a sequencer filters and hundreds of studio quality presets for 7$ ! Instruments aren't bound to track and I think it's good! You can make a song that uses 40 instruments. thank you guys..

Stunnin'. Just listen to the "Demo" song included with the app under the Song button and be stunned by what this thing can do. Absolutely unmatched. -- Review Update (5 months from original purchase) Still 5 Stars. Brilliant app. Kudos to the developers for constantly refining this thing. It's the best of its kind in the store. Version 3 sounds like a major update. Psyched.

Great app.. This is a fantastic app. The sounds are top notch. The ability to sequence MIDI is worth the price alone. It is easy to use and navigate. The expansions are fair priced. One of the better apps of its type in the store. I got this on sale for $3, and added all the apps except for the acoustic bank. I make electronic music.

Crap. Downloaded this app a while ago, loved it! I then slowly over time downloaded all the banks and loved it even more! Then recently noticed there was an update which would improve an already awesome app so I did it. Dumbest thing I ever did, now I can't even load the app. I'm ticked off now, when I originally bought this I paid full price for it, plus all the banks. Now I'm out over twenty dollars and can't access all the music I spent hundreds of ours making. Does anyone know if you can get money back for this kind of thing or am I totally hosed here.

awesome ap. My favorite sequencer. So glad there's finally an update and retina display support. More updates!!

Great sound!. Been testing FL Mobile and iSequence. There is no difference between besides the price. Both apps needs a little bit to be perfect. But in this case, I would like to be able to manage instruments easier. It's pretty hard and there is a bug on the instruments list.

Lots of crashes!. I love the concept, layouts, sounds- everything! But until they fix the problem with crashes, I'm afraid to use this app. I've lost a lot of work on this app due to these seemingly random crashes. Save your work often or end up being very frustrated. I'm not sure why nobody else is mentioning this huge obstacle with this app, but I'm hoping that my doing so will result in a fix. Btw, I'm on an iPad 2. If not for this, I'd be giving 5 stars.
