Works great on airplane. This is great app for airplane travel, when there is no WiFi available. Recommended because it can play many different formats with access to music and data files too.

Solid video player. Ive been using this video player to play mostly mp4s I downloaded and it just works. I have several multi-file shows and some movies and I’m able to organize it fairly well. I’m very satisfied with this app. Still a solid video player. Highly recommended.

Love it.. I have both versions of this app and I prefer the iPhone version for audio books because it spins the artwork like a cd. So awesome!

Love this App but Relocate the Select all button. I am keep selecting all and deleting all clips by accident. Because the select all button right next to the delete button. Please put it on the other side it at the top! I also wish if there is a audio pitch shift option, then it will be the ultimate app! Good luck!

OPlayer. This app is so nice and powerful. I use it on a daily basis to practice or rehearse music I will be playing on my next gigs - I am a Salsa Music Bass Player freelancer and this application helps me a whole lot. I download the music into OPlayer and go at it for hours on end. I really like this application.

Great app but .... Great App. If there was only one app I could have on an idevice this would be it. To make it better, allow volume control on iwatch. Maintain volume constant regardless of variations in volume between songs or videos.

Easiest video playlists on iPhone. This is the easiest app to use for playing your own videos. The only thing I wish it did was support adding folders of videos to a playlist so you don’t have to go into sub folders. The gesture controls are great too.

Fantastic app. Im a musician who uses OP to separate and/or download/save files directly to my “works in progress” folder. Only q i have is... how to send/forward my music files saved in OP... Any updates coming that would allow this?

Spectacular video player. I spent a week trying almost every video player for the iPhone and iPad, and my conclusion is that OPlayer was tied with one other for the most elegant, powerful, and reliable video player. I've loaded it with 100GB of video, and it works flawlessly. The interface is also creative and really nice. And OPlayer runs nicely on both the iPhone and iPad. I rarely write app reviews (I'm busy), but OPlayer has inspired me to take the time to write one. This is an excellent app. It’s now a couple of years later, and I’d like to reiterate what I wrote earlier. But I’d also like to add that using this app has been an even better experience than I’d described earlier! I’ve changed phones and iPads a couple of times since then, and this app flawlessly synced its content with the new devices when I made the transitions. The other competing app I mentioned above lost all videos each time, despite claiming that it would sync them through iCloud and Mac backup. So this is still the best. I have only one minor suggestion for it: it has a nice feature that plays a randomly chosen video from the same folder next. Unfortunately, it occasionally plays the same one again. An improved algorithm that orders the videos in advance to avoid this (like the one iTunes uses) would easily solve this very minor problem.

Browser should be updated. Can’t play media from web player. It's running at my phone’s player automatically

Great video program. This program is the one that I use to store and play all of my video files. It’s easy to sync files to the program with iTunes and the play quality is excellent.

Play from Flash Drive. Am I able to play a movie from a flash drive with out downloading?

One of the Best. I was hesitant at first when I first got it but after a while this became one of the best video player apps that I have ever used

Dubbed audio movies. It’s the best app for playing videos. However, Whenever I download dubbed audio movies, I am able to play just one of them. In other words, in the audio+subtitle dubbed menu only audio 1 is shown.

Fabulous with one flaw. I have tested out 48 different players. This is the best, but it has a flaw. I need it full screen, but it doesn’t remember this setting, so every time I start the app I have to set the video to full screen again. Please allow us in settings to make this feature permanent for all videos, always.

Finally bought it. The problem is if you leave something pauses in the background for too long you have to start over again. Not sure if that's iOS or the app. Great app regardless and thanks

Great. Does everything I want. Multiple formats. Easy loading from a web page. I paid for this and love it.

Great Player. OPlayer added a fix to the one thing that I had been wishing it had, and that was the ability to add dark background to subtitles. Now that they added this very helpful feature, I really everything I want it to be. The best!

Phone crash. Causes my phone to start crashing and freeze. After deleting all issues stopped. It prevents the phone from unlocking. Once it unlocks the phone is extremely slow and eventually restarts and displays black screen till manual reboot of the phone.

The last feature we need - Video Zoom. It’s the best video player app I can find so far. The only feature missing is the video zoom. I wish I could zoom the video like the iPhone’s native video player!

ESSENTIAL. If you're a enthusiast or professional you will find this app is essential for any device. I am a file archivist/hoarder and have been utilizing this app for +7 years on my various iPhones. It is the swiss army knife of mobile media players that tackles any audio/video file type and is supported by devs who truly care about the quality of their app. I've been singing it's praises to everyone I know but now it's time to leave a review. Thanks for all that you folks do! Some features that I cherish: -Plays FLAC files! -Folder/File structure view -Plays files from local external storage and over networks -WiFi File Transfer (no physical connection needed, just connect to local WiFi and access/transfer files through web browser) -FTP Compatible: Play & Transfer (ability to sync files with one click when used with file back up/sync software in conjunction with FTP connection) -Functions as portable file storage drive (used this as such many years before iOS provided the "Files" option)

Exceptional. Great app that I have been using for years. iOS 16 update broke a feature and it was fixed in one day after submitting feedback!

Great app!. Love this app and use it all the time. Only drawbacks are that files from bandcamp never want to play (forcing me to use other less desirable players) and the decompress with password function stops working when the password involves a number.

Video Aficionado - Look No Further. This player has it all. It sets the standard by which all other video players should measure up to. I use it every day.

Works Well Consistently. The App is pretty easy to use, and works well in just about every situation we have needed it for. There are a few quirks, but we work around them for now. If the Developer(s) continue to adjust the App Software, and quickly add any critical features as the technology needs arise, the App can only improve. We assume that the App Developer(s) are keeping every Users personal data & connection info private, and are regularly dealing with any funky bugs or oddities.

Excellent app. It is a very good app, quite stable but needs more improvements like eg opening the last video in a series in a subfolder once you reopen it or if a crash restarts the app. Highly recommended

Great app - need SMBv2 for Win10. Hello, thanks for maintaining this great app all these years, it has consistently served me well! Since Win10 creators update, the SMB client is incompatible with Windows. I read something about Windows going to SMBv2. Maybe the app needs to catch up? Cheers!

Great player. I use it to play all my videos I really like the file transfer feature between the iPad and PC

Still the best. Still the best for LAN streaming coupled with a super powerful player sporting tons of features that positively crushes VLC and any other wannabe substitute. My only asks is a greedy one - SMB file manipulation as is available in the Files application. I typically download videos, compile a playlist, then delete the videos when finished. Have to switch applications to delete or otherwise rename/move files. This desire does not in any way affect my appreciation for this application, though. My 2¢ for how it can achieve glistening perfection, which it nearly has. Developers should be proud.

Best Video Player. Works great and the add-ons I’ve bought have been worth it. I really like the controls for brightness and volume and I hope Apple will follow suit. Edit: I really love this app. Can I give you more money or help with the development in any way? (I am a programmer.)

Love this app. It is a great and works better than all other options I have bought before. The Apple TV version has a major flaw : you can't read the folder names because of their length and they are not in alphabetical order Otherwise I would give five stars

Chromecast still does not work in paid version. This app does not work as advertised. 90% of your chromecast requirements will not work. After trial and error trying to get something to cast I learned that a video does not cast from a NAS drive but a copy of the same file in a dlna folder cast. Developer said the issue is with the MP4 file. Ummm no.

Needs Full Dark Mode. Great app... wish it had full dark mode. The splash screen is blindingly bright! Also when browsing DLNA folders the “loading” placeholder is pretty bright. Otherwise great!

Solid App. Very pleased with the degree to which the developers keep up with the changing environment on iPhones and iPads. Of the several players I use this is the swiss army knife that makes the most things possible.

awesome!. I use OPlayer a lot! I like the fact the App can open practically any video/audio file, The interface is awesome! And set up individual file folders, vlc you can't, you can control the speed of an audio file, as what I do when I'm listening to lectures, and much more.

Does what it says. I did the same as BD35 tried every video player in app store this is the only one that doesn't require Itunes or a computer to play files already on your device the app can be as simple or as technical as you want BRAVO

Excellent Player!. I tried a bunch, spent too much money until I found OPlayer! I like the interface the way it works and the features. One thing I can’t seem to find though, and I’m probably just missing it, is the option to just stop playing after a video ends. I would like it to just end after videos are done instead of going into the next one. I get that for songs though so I see why it does it.

Issue with playlists on Apple Watch. When I select any playlist, it just says that they are empty even though I added content to the playlists. I tried deleting and redownloading, but nothing works.

After Screen Time videos not playing. Hi, I’m facing issues regarding resuming videos after increasing screen time limit (15 minutes or 1 hour). After increasing no audio or video can played. It’s just freezes without any error. It started to happen after new ios 17 update. Please fix it.

Easy setup makes this app great. Enjoying this app as a means to stream data across my wireless network. The best thing was the easy discovery of sources. Some improvements could be made with the media types.

Good app!. I really like it that there are things u can do on here I had no idea about.. I only wanted a player but this does more! Only thing I can't figure out is how to stop it playing EVERY video I have on there one after the other..? Not really a fault of the app, unless you can't do that anyway?

Does what I wanted it to. This app hasn't let me down yet. I use it to watch video files on my phone and iPad without going through too much iTunes palaver and it does it well.

Great media player. It plays videos, audio. No big deal. But it just does it really well and being able to manage the folders on wifi using ftp via cyberduck is awesome. Very happy.

Works great!. A great option for playing your non-apple approved video files. Add videos under the Apps tab in itunes and they copy over super quick. Has some issues with higher res vids, but plays standard size video well. Recommended.

The app i use the most!. This is a must have app! works well with the .avi files so far, however, with .rmvb files ive found that occasionally the video and audio would come out of sync. Please fix this. but apart from that, overall i am very happy!

Solid performer. Great app. Crashes when opening .wmv files from emails, but fine when re-opened. 5 stars if this was fixed! Otherwise dependable and very functional.

Plays everything. Except maybe large Blu ray files but they were meant for the big screen

Need improvement. Good app, finally I can d/l songs and video clips without using iTune or PC. Still, rmvb files lags and i found the playlist seems redundant. Why would I want a playlist in an app while I use it mostly for movies and tv shows?

Doesn't work, don't waste your money. When browsing with Safari on my iPhone 4, and I browse a URL with WMV video, I click on the video link & it asks if I want to play the video using this APP, when I choose to play with this APP, it opens the Oplayer but nothing else happens! I feel so ripped off & disappointed...!!!!!! :-(

Perfect. This is the only video player I tried (out of many) which, on my iPhone 5; * did not crash * remembered where I was up to in a video * did not randomly forget that * did not randomly stop playing when locked * has a fine scrubbing feature that works and doesn't glitch all over the place * has all the best features of the other video players combined (intuitive variable fine scrubbing control, play while locked, soft lock screen, etc.) * actually has wifi transfer, a feature I didn't know I needed as now I can avoid iTunes And the cost is cheap. I paid to remove ads and haven't looked back. This thing works, does everything I want, and doesn't fail. I tried many others before this which always had problems on my iPhone 5. I was beginning to think it was just my iPhone - but Oplayer came and showed everyone it can be done. Amazing what good programming can do.

Works every time!!!. It used to be a chore uploading movies to watch on my iPhone- now it's over in less than 5 mins and plays any format that I've thrown at it! Loving it! I would pay highly for this, knowing how well it works, just so handy!!

Been using it for 4 years. Hasn't let me down. Solid, only thing lacking is the chrome cast support, it's quite broken via my iPhone 6.

Nothing compares!. Been using the lite version. All my expectations, including NAS access works amazingly, I purchased the paid version to get rid of the ads. Hope AC3 will come soon

Pretty happy with it.. Only problem is that it does not mark the last played track like an iPhone music player does, when you exit and come back. I mean how can I remember which track I played last in a 300 song playlist?

Worth every cent!. I dont know about sound issues as the version i have is working perfectly best of all it plays mkv so i can watch anime galore

Brilliant work.. I've been using the light version for so long I thought it was about time I bought the full version, simply because you deserve it. It's a great media-player, It's handled everything that I've thrown at it, there was a little bit of lag in one of the videos but after closing all multitasking it worked alright. This is so much easier and quicker than waiting hours for videos to convert then sync through iTunes. The WiFi transfer is my most used feature. I haven't had any real problems with audio not being in sync, once or twice, but all you have to do is exit out of the video and go back into it. Well done, thanks for this cool app.

Jumping Frames. Its a good app and surely plays a lot of different video format. But images jumps and lags while playing. If you are thinking about watching a movie. It can be a bad experience since the images just don't flow. I hope they can fix this. Otherwise it would be perfect.

Lise. Great player. Needs an update for IOS 16. The app is chewing through the battery and overheating my iPhone 13 mini since update. Also. Thumbnails of videos would be a nice feature I have found that a hard reset of the phone after updating to ios16 fixes the problem.

Finally a great media player!. Finally a smoothly working media player that supports Avis and mkv files and plays videos real smooth. I love it.

Awesome. I only got this app for the FTP functionality (great for getting music from my home server if I feel like listening to something in particular). But as a player it also does really well. A multimedia nerds dream and worth every penny.

oPlayer 23rd July 15 version. WMV video files will not play in this version. App just crashes June 2017 version plays wmv files no problems 👌

Has everything you want out of a media player. Packed full of features, can play any video format you can imagine and stream videos from OneDrive allowing me to save storage space.

OPlayer. This app has great potential but still requires tweaking. File formats such as MKV, RMVB can be played but the picture can lag and audio can be out of sync. If these problems are fixed, this is an excellent app for those who love to watch video on iphone/ipad/ipods.

Fantastic Player. Lack of support for certain audio codecs is a shame but affects many other media player apps at present, due to license holders asserting their rights more vigorously than they used to. I'll switch to 5 stars for OPlayer if the author pays for the appropriate codec licenses, cos then it'll be the perfect player!

Perfect. Get this app. Forget the rest. Works just like it says, and easy to use. Now with oplayer my iPhone 4 is the best phone I've ever had. Safari was the only thing holding it back.

Highly recommended. Great little app. Does what it promises and developer responds quickly to squash bugs. Working in a technical field I personally have no trouble navigating around the application but I can see how the average person might hope for a more user friendly interface. Just one thing missing. This is the just about the best. The one improvement I would suggest is maybe an equaliser.

Great App but has security flaw. Have been using this app for years. One of the best video player. However if you are using the password security for access to the app or folder, be aware that the contents can still be access via the iPhone Files app which seems to bypass the security.

Scam … My bad experience. I did buy it and cannot restore the Purchase. I contacted the owner who told me to contact Apple, and I contacted Apple who acknowledged the purchase but told me that they cannot do anything and I should contact the developer! It says “buy it once, buy it forever” That seems to be a big lie!

A W E S O M E. Finally someone created an app so u don't have to convert video to apples formats b4 playing on iPhone. It even allows sub folders for videos, so its great for categorizing clips n movies! Been using since v1.0 n has never crashed! New update has made it even betterr with low res feature! Support team is also very quick to respond to questions n feature requests! Well done oPlayer!!!

No DTS support.. I would like a refund - when I purchased this application it supported surround sound. Dolby have caught up with developer - and they don't have the money to pay a license fee. So no more surround sound support. There are other applications that play .mkv/DTS out of the box. So disappointed in the developer removing support AFTER we have all paid. How about using your profits to license the software the way you should of in the first place. Cannot recommend this to anybody due to the developers questionable business practice.

The UI is awful. The user interface is unclear with how you do things and how you get things done. If you have a spare 4 or 5 hours to play with the app then you’ll be off and running. Additionally there is a woeful lack of help resources.

Impressed.. This app still gets updated and improved -very nice to see! Playback is smooth and supports every format I've needed. Trial version is full featured and let's you know what you're spending your money on. Definitely worth it.

Functionally Good. Been using it for years now and the FTP is a great option for transferring shows and movies. The proem I have is that the volume very often starts breaking up in the middle of watching something so I am forced to stop the recording and resume again. Not a big issue and should be fixed on an upcoming patch if the devoted even knows about it. Also for audio, a shuffle option would be nice. Because it doesn't have it, I still use my iPhone music player. Other than that, great APP.

I can finally play AVIs locally on my iPhone!. This application is great! I've been looking for a long time to find one that can play locally-stored, non-Apple format movies. I really like the new feature of being able to upload the files via a simple web browser connection to the in-app web server. For what it achieves, the price of $2.99 is definitely worth it! Good job olimsoft and keep up the updates!!

Need to improve but good. There still have some bug. When I play mp4 and rmvb... The voice and video is not sync... I haven't try avi yet... Looking for new version ^^

Does not support mkv. The video can be played but not the sound. Come on apple give it back. Small companies making good products should be supported not punished.

Waste of money. I bought this hoping to stream to my TV set. It supposedly works with the Apple TV but it won’t play on either of my 2 Apple TVs. It shows that the Apple TV is selected but it definitely is not playing on anything other than my iPad. It also is designed for the iPhone screen. It’s not an iPad app. I can’t understand how it’s getting such high ratings from others unless they are fake. Oh and aside from the cost to buy the app they want more money for DIVX and other encoders where it should be included in the app to begin with at this price. I’ve had free video apps that work better than this.

Great app. Works well, plays all the file types I have! Keeps them separate from my main audio files so I don't get spoken word mixed up with my music shuffle.

Low volume. Usually, we use phone players in outside areas so the 100% sound is not enough! Like VLC player needs a boost to 200%. Besides that, it's great.

This is my go-to audio video app!. I just love the functionality of OPlayer. It works the way I want it to - from hierarchical folder structures and playlists to watching movies, this player is where it's at! My media is always a tap away from me. Forget the native media apps and forget the learning curve. Get OPlayer!

Doesn't work with Chromecast. OPlayer is listed as a Chromecast supported app. Not only does it not work with Chromecast, Chromecast is not even listed as an option to stream to TV.

Powerful and easy to use!. While playing video it is so easy to skip forward or back a bit or a lot with swipes. I find it much more flexible than the standard fast-forward and rewind buttons. I use it to watch downloaded video courses, where I often want to review parts. I especially like that OPlayer provides so many options for getting the files from my PC to my iPhone (WiFi, FTP, Windows Share, iTunes, etc). And it supports so many file formats, and it continues to play audio even if I want to turn off the screen, and ... I love this app!

Great for watching from NAS. Top tier video player for streaming files over your network. The latest version (Dec 2015) updates Samba, which fixes crashes and improves transfer speeds greatly as a result

Great idea, and a strong foundation for a great app. This App does what it claims, but I'm using it to play my MKV files which are falling out of sync ever 20 seconds (not an exaggeration). The only way to line up the video and audio again is to stop playback and resume. This makes the App impractical for me at the moment. I will gladly hold on to it and wait for an update though. As I mentioned, a strong foundation for a great App.

Works perfectly on iPhone 6. Great app. No issues whatsoever and worth every penny.

The Best Mobile Media Player Period.. Best Media Player on iOS, best user interface, best gesture control; you ought to release a version for PCs, Linux and MacOS; your control interface and UI a generation ahead of anything on desktop or mobile devices. Playback is stable and smooth. Your gesture control intuitive with zero learning curve. 5-Stars. Your Developers and designers are highly talented (but you already knew that).

Didn’t work. It clearly says it can be used to “veiw” cloud videos but that’s not the case I used OneDrive and it went to download instead of play

Was a good player, flac now is distorted. Too bad current version now distorts flac playback. Excellent player that plays flac without the useless social networking clutter. Thank goodness for a app that works well with voiceover.

Not working with my Apple Watch 4. Very disappointed, I actually paid for this app hoping it was a glitch on OPlayer light why it wasn’t working on my Apple Watch, but no.. The playlist only shows recently played with a message how I should create a playlist which I did and nothing populates. Even when in song there’s no player?? You can keep the 2-3 $ but please try to fix this and also add a search bar to the playlist on the iPhone app, I have a huge music library.

Unable to play doubed movies. When I enter a doubed movie, only first language plays.

Doesn’t work the way it says.. Compression/Decompression do not work. That’s the feature I paid for. Compression makes files that cannot be decompressed.

Equalizer. The application is perfect and if the developer add this feature which is adjustable Equalizer will be much better. Great Thanks

Be warned, junk. There are three or more of these I have purchased and I expected a crossover of services for the same app with a different title. No way, triple charges for 3-4 apps with the same name altered a bit at about 13 dollars or more each for all perks. Very clever for the seller, but a ripoff for the unsuspecting buyer. A good app otherwise, but lacking chromecast abities.

I was using free app and decided pay for this. And then it didn't work when I tried to watch movie from ftp server. I tried all the setting change and it still same. It just keep loading all the files in the folder and never play it. So can you solve this problem?

Good app that never stops asking for money. Paid for this app some year ago. It was upgraded afterwards and now asks me to pay and buy avi or dts support or other features that I already paid for. This is simply unacceptable and I feel robbed :(

Oplayer app. Very easy to download my American Sign Language videos to learn ASL. And easy to navigate this app.

Wow.. What a buggy mess. I can’t believe I spent money on this app. The options do nothing, there’s no sound on anything, the loop button doesn’t work, it doesn’t play half of what I download. I’ll be looking into getting a refund on this.
