Great App!. Well designed

Useful notes. I love it! Now I can sing at home starting on the correct note and check to see if I am still on key halfway through the song. (usually I am).

Pitch Pipe. Works good. Totally satisfied.

Pitches don't sound in correct octave. You can select the octave on a piano keyboard image, but some of the pitches (D at least) are from the correct octave and some are from another octave (even though they are next to each other in the same octave on the keyboard)

Best pitch pipe replacement. Thanks for updating to 64-bit. Now I can continue to use this great tool with my choir.

Right Pitches.. The "Pitch police" sounds like a competitor defaming this app. The pitches are all correct. You'll need to be pretty silly to believe that the dev can't get such a simple thing right.

Real cool. Love this. ALSO It would be awesome to hold a note down and blow into the microphone to get a tone. Serious nostalgic effect and would look cool :) thanks

I want my 99 cents back. This review is from a barbershopper's perspective. The tone of the pitchpipe function is obviously and gratingly artificial; the ipitchpipe app has a much more natural tone that very closely approximates the tone of a reed pitchpipe (but, alas, is available only in C-C; no F-F yet). Also, unlike ipitchpipe, the pitchpipe in this app does not sound when the iPhone is silenced--a serious drawback, as it creates the possibility of the phone ringing in the middle of a performance if you forget to silence the phone after sounding the pitch. I also dislike that there is no way to turn off the tone after only a second or two (short of silencing the phone); it plays for a full 3 seconds, whether you like it or not.

Comfortable to use. This app looks and works like a traditional pitch pipe. It is easy to give a pitch unobtrusively from the midst of the choir.

Pitch Pro. As good as the real thing - I will always have a back-up if I forget the real thing. Thanks!

If all you want is a standalone pitch pipe, hard to beat. There are newer options available now such as Tunable that include a tuner and metronome as long as with pitch, but for a buck this still does the job of a pitch pipe is the only thing you need. These tones are triangle wave I believe (keyboard mode), and sound less harsh. The pitch wheel is however kind of harsh.

Pitch Pro came through for our audition. Does just what it says. Used the traditional pitch pipe feature at an audition (and warmups) for our chorale to sing "Star Spangled Banner" for a local pro baseball team. Worked great for us. We'll be standing on home plate with voices raised very soon! Well worth the 99 cents. Thanks Pitch Pro!

Backwards progress. Started as a good app for basic tuning needs with decent design. It still works fine, but it gets uglier with every update. The look was cool, now it's boring as hell. Do you guys have no sense of visual design? I've never seen an app get worse with updates before. New icon is hideous. I think you would realize that with 40 other pitch pipe apps out there that design would give the upper hand. Still, gets the job done.

Tag ready. Love this app! Has come in handy so many times when no one has a pipe. Pretty much the same sound as any electric pipe we use in chorus. A must for any sweet Adeline!

Convenient Pitch Pipe!. It is great.... I don't always have my pitch pipe with me but I ALWAYS have my phone. I can see it in the dark too!

Handy Keyboard Option. A very handy little app-- I use it to get my starting note or check a note all the time. The keyboard option is really handy-- you can pick any octave and know which one you're on. Also, you can choose how long to have a note last or just cut it off with the kill-switch.

Great app until update. Please fix. I use this app all the time but after the update it crashes everytime I try to play a note. PLEASE FIX!!!!

Crashes. This app is fantastic when it works. Unfortunately that's only about 40% of the time. If I leave it open in the background and go back to it after using another app, the sound stops working. It looks like it's playing a note but no sound comes out. And no, it's not because my volume it turned down. I have to quit the app and start it again to make it work. Too bad because I love all the features it comes with.

Abandoned?. I loved this app. I used it occasionally and it always did what I wanted. But on iOS 17.0.3 it crashes on launch. And it has not been updated for years.

Good, but partially out of tune. The first two octaves of the chromatic mode aren't in tune (especially the first) and the guitar strings may be sharp. Otherwise this is a very useful app.

No Sound. This app is not working with the iPhone 3.1.3 it needs to be updated there is NO Sound Looks good if it would work Please test future apps so we don't pay for nothing

Adequate for a cappella. Use it for barbershop quartet singing. Would prefer getting to pitch faster when pipe is selected from home page, but suspect that's the phone, not the app. More accurate than spit-soaked pipe, but of course, not expressive. Best of apps I've tried.

Great app. Have enjoyed the app. Wish it would keep its own volume so I don't get a loud pitch after upping the general volume however, the rest is easy and extremely useful for those of us who never know when we might be called on to lead a song. Great app!!!

Was great; now crashes. This was my go-to app for timpani tuning for years. In iOS 14 it just crashes, though. Please update!

Keith. This app is as close to the real thing as you can get, and it is better in some ways. As a recording engineer and a music minister, it is a very handy tool in music production and arranging.

Excellent choice. I’m a big fan of Frozen Ape apps so far. Has traditional tone but also small keyboard which is more convenient for finding a key.

Would be 5 ⭐️ if updated. This is a great and useful app! However it hasn't been updated and by the next iOS (8) it's likely to be useless. The developers need to issue an update *now*

Great for quick reference. I use the piano tool to test my singing range. Works perfectly every time, and the app loads quickly too!

Awesome!. I'm a singer in a quartet and this app is incredibly useful. My only complaint is how long it takes to load. Sometimes on stage it gets a little awkward :) other than that its EXCELLENT

Great electronic pitch pipe!. This is a really nice and easy to use device. As a visually impaired musician, though, it does need some work to make it fully accessible. For example, when playing a guitar note, it’s not announced. Overall, though, a great app.

Wonderful app!!!. I absoluteley LOVE this app!!! It has the full pitch pipe, along with a virtual piano, and *surprise surprise!*a guitar tuner! I only needed it for the pitch pipe, but i use it for so much more! This one was completely worth it(:

Works great. I sing with some other guys, acappella, in performance, and this is the one we use. Much easier than a real pitch pipe

Pitch pro- long tones. For my purposes of using the pitch pro for long tones, it works superbly providing as many octaves as I need and a steady pitch with which to tune to. Gotta like the changing of the frequency to adjust to different orchestra's tuning preferences!

Pitch Pipe–. Had high hopes for Pitch Pipe+ because of the predominantly positive reviews. The download was easy. Certainly liked the look of each of the three views. Unfortunately, none of them would actually play a pitch. An AppleCare tech support person tried to help but wasn't able to figure out how to make the app behave and advised me to be in direct touch with the maker. Hoping I'd been making some stupid, simple, easily remedied mistake, I sent an email EIGHT DAYS AGO to Frozen Ape asking for tech support or a refund but have received no response whatsoever.

Great app. Quick and easy. Provides pitch or piano notes which allows me to work on more challenging phrases while traveling. Also like the Christmas wreath option for the pitch pipe

Perfect!. Simple, clear, nothing extraneous.

Alright, needs more pitches. I like the interface of this app, it is easy to use. However there are a couple problems with this version. It would be nice to have some alternate tunings for the guitar (ie open G, half step down, ect). The keyboard only offers one octave, an extention/option-of-octave would be nice as well. One more thing: the A and D strings featured in the recordings have too low of an action and vibrate against the fretboard; it would be nice to hear those fixed.

Works great! Perfect for a capella groups.. The tone is plenty loud for a group to hear. It works great! I would like to see in an update the option to select different tones, a "pitch pipe" sound and perhaps a piano sound would be great.

Solid. The pitch pipe is simply a digital version of the real thing. Does exactly what I need it to do except it doesn't get thrown in the wash and rust like my traditional ones does when I forget it's in my pocket.

GREAT Update!. My primary concerns were addressed and fixed (F-F one octave too low & square wave tone used for pitch pipe). In addition the graphics have also been improved with an even cleaner look. I especially like the black/white difference between pitches which makes it really easy to tell apart. Great job -- this is far better than any other pitch pipe app now!

Pitch Pipe. Very good

Convenience to the utmost degree. I'm an aspiring orchestral musician, and might I say, first of all, that it's important or every orchestral musician to warmup and practice excerpts with a tuner. I started using this in my daily routine (especially the piano sounds) for intervalic tuning and adjustment. I put headphones in as I practice and loop the specific tones on "infinite mode", then I hear the waves clearly as I practice scales/arps with headphones on. Personal, convenient, and highly recommended for the serious musician that plays in many different practice rooms/venues. Best dollar I've invested in a long time.

It gives pitches n stuff. It's not like some super amazing app, but it does what it's supposed too, and is very functional. If you are a guitar player, there is also a nice guitar tone window that has multiple guitar tunings (drop d, open d, open g, etc.). When I am bored I sometimes play the c blues scale up and down on the piano window.

Very good app. I started singing in my church choir a few months ago and this app helps me find my correct pitch. However, it does need an update to continue working on my iPhone 6.

Simple and useful!. It gives you pitches, high ones, low ones, middle ones delivered in a more ways you could dream of and you can fine tune the hertz! But seriously, it does it's job and it does it well - if you want to tune up or calibrate your ears get this app!!

Pitch pipe pro review. Very good. The pitches are accurate however, the low notes are hard to hear using the devices speaker, but that is the nature of sounds. I use this in a barbershop quartet. I recommend it.

Click...click...click. Bought this program to tune my harpsichord and the click as loop reset itself every three seconds was very distracting. However the program is very suitable for my needs otherwise

DDobler. A pretty good app. My disappointment is that the buttons are not labeled. And cannot be read with voiceover I had the main buttons labeled. But with iOS six the labels are gone.

Sufficient at purpose. This pitch pipe is OK. Obviously the visuals are nice and easy. I wish the sound was more realistic. Sounds like a synthesizer.

Fred. I checked the pitch output with the Peterson tuner I use to tune Pianos. The pitch pipe is a hair sharp. The chromatic keyboard is right on pitch. The volume of the chromatic keyboard section could be louder.

Doesn't work. This made no sound what so ever and yes I checked the volume. Also the website doesn't have any reference to this app. I would have given zero stars but they wouldn't let me.

Pitch Pipe. Excellent. Very useful both as a pitch pipe for my vocal group, and in my work tuning organs & pianos. Wish the pitches were clearer in the bottom 2 octaves, as they are in the higher register.

Lame. The pitch pipe sounds incredible stupid; it's just a square wave generator - just like my old palm pilot. Come on, you can do better than that! 2 starts, bc I didn't use the rest of the app.
