Very slick, but numerous instances of editorial sloppiness. There are very few apps out there for Croatian, and this one definitely is slick - probably because it appears to be a common platform leveraged for various languages. Worth the price, but be warned that there are a great many mismatches between audio and text, and annoying little things like that.

Awesome app!. Perfect for any beginner who wants to learn Croatian. Shows you how to pronounciate the different expressions and the flash cards are really helpful! However, sometimes the voice recording goes a little too fast... maybe an option to go word by word? Wished that they had a section that showed you how to pronounce the individual letters and gave rules on how to properly pronounce them so that you could sound words out yourself then check to see if you got it right. But overall great app!

Worked well... It was great, and the flashcards were helpful, but after six days it won't open? Needs fixing.

The sound is so low!. So far I like it, but the sound is super low. I thought it was my iPhone, but I turned my phone up as loud as it will go. For $9.99 I hope it gets fixed ...

Solid way to jumpstart language learning. The app is well designed. Visually appealing. Not actually perfect but deafly professional. Good flash card ability, which for me is basically the most fundamental way to add vocabulary. BUT one key point. To make this app's flash cards worthwhile, you need to change the settings so that it does not only quiz you on what the Croatian word means. So, to make it also show cards that ask you to provide the Croatian word. To configure that, inside the app go to more, settings, flash card settings, and make sure that BOTH Native and English are on. I don't know if this app would be the tool to truly advance further in a language, but for kicking off the language learning process I recommend this. I may upgrade to the 10 dollar version if it keeps being this good.

Youlearn. Since the update, I don't receive new words and never got the picture that went with the word. And I got double words, and no sound with words. Hope this gets cleared up I like this apt and use it as much as possible.

Paid for the full version. The "free" vision is extremely limited. Paid for the full version, which gives you access to more words but the sound files don't always match the written word. Plus it crashes a lot.

Just bought!. I just upgraded to the $10 version and it looks like there is enough here to keep me plenty busy however; there is one feature that I would like added - I would like to have the ability to slow down the delivery so that I can better hear the pronunciation and the way words are blended together so that when I do try to speed up my speech, My pronunciation is accurate, rather than just a guess. (a competitors website provides a 'turtle' button which I really appreciate.

Good..Kinda. I got this app so I can learn more Croatian words. Since a new word comes by only once a day, the words should be good. One day my word was "Seul" (Seoul, in Korea) and another time it was "Proliv" (diarrhea!) They have to put better words.

Good for basic learning only. General speaking it looks like a good app for learning words and getting some basic conversation skill. It has several misinterpretations of croatian meanings. When contacted for suggested corrections they answer in an automatic standard response. But the corrections are not ever done. There is not either updates for vocabulary to address such a mistake. It has potential, but I guess this company is more focused on other languages.

Needs better vocabulary. This is a great practice for understanding a difficult language, because it reminds you every day to simply practice one word. However I have been occasionally disappointed by lazy choices (like "Zagreb - insert a name of a city from your country"), or an audible pronunciation that doesn't match the written word. Also the page us excruciatingly slow to load. However I'll put up with slow pages if there is a little more effort on word choices. This is why I haven't purchased the pay version. Overall thanks for the practice.

We'll designed.. The menu design is a bit clunky but the sample sentences are nice and make learning enjoyable.

Come on. Paris & Los Angeles as word of the day? Please give more meaningful words. Also, two days in a row the croatian word was "new" with an english definition for a number (8,000). Lastly, the woman speaker has a slight Italian accent.

Mm. Cool app, Functional, helpful, easy to use. Accurate, love the audible aspect to teach pronunciation.

Update. This app was fantastic before the update. What happened to all the pictures and why do I have to download the courses? I did not have this problem before the update. The update says the app is smaller and faster to start up but I had no problem with the speed of the app startup. Please come out with an update to revert it back to the way it was.

I wouldn't bother. yes it gives you a word a day as it says, but the most useless words you can imagine. e.g instead of "how are you?" or "my name is..." Some of the words and phrases in my word bank are: Floatation device Contraband Report Office worker To Take a Picture Not a great place to start if you are wanting to learn the language, maybe it could be useful if you were simply wanting to expand you knowlegde.

Disapointing. Good concept if only it actually did what it was supposed to. I look forward to my new word everyday and am disappointed when the word comes up simply as new???? What is that all about? Please take the time to fix this or no one will ever bother to upgrade!!

Good before but.... Ever since the update, it won't open.

Complete waste of $. Do not upgrade to the full version. You will be asked as an 'in app purchase' to do so for $9.99. I did and it is the first app I have ever been disappointed with. Many of the words are not present and it just says "new" - with no translation showing. Also many words have no audible translation available. Waste of time and money. Also - you can not use this on other IOS devices like your iPhone if you download to your iPad - it is ONLY available in one location on the device you download to! No iCloud sharing.
