Wish i hadn't updated the app. Good tool but i just use it for the Word a Day feature. Before i mistakenly updated the app, i got the WaD straight out and could run through ALL the flashcards directly. No more. :(

Not Worth It. Even for free I do not recommend. For the asking price of $0.99, I definitely would not purchase. 1) PROMO VERSION - This lite version is really a sample of their expensive $9.99 version. Both versions are overpriced. This should be FREE always and the pro should be no more than $4. 2) ONE WORD DAILY - Not helpful if you want to build vocab. There are better apps that have vocab flashcards grouped by category or an audio phrasebook for better comprehension. 3) UNTRUSTWORTHY - This company has a reputation for errors. I have 2 different apps that have mistakes with gender article concordance, wrong or mispelled words, & non-native translations. 4) BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - No response to email about correcting errors. Update to fix mistakes seems unlikely.

ATTENTION!. For those of you who are saying it's useless because it only gives you one word a day, it said in the info page that it is only supposed to give you ONE word a day so you can study and master that specific word. If you don't have the patience to wait a day for the next word, then I feel don't sorry for you.

What it's like:. The app is a free place to learn one German word a day. I have a different app from the same company to learn Russian words. It's all this is, and I can understand how some people are getting annoyed with that, but it is what it is, and the description says it gives only one word a day. If you're wanting something more advanced to actually learn a language quicker, I would suggest paying for something. This app is probably more handy for those who already know some German.

Great. I love this app, but I have to say, I've paid for the online program (which is excellent, btw) and the app is great as a part of the overall program.

Review of App. This app is fair/good. I would like to see more words that are taught. Example, the drink category only gives you drink names that are German, nothing for English. Maybe even medical terms or more body parts. Need to verbalized the Alphabet as oppose to written pronunciation, etc

User friendly. I live the word of the day feature and how it automatically updates. This application is very user friendly.

Missing gender info fix coming for 4.0. Unfortunately, a bug slipped past us which caused gender info to go missing. The bug has already been fixed, and an update to bring back the gender info has already been submitted to Apple. It'll be version 4.0.1.

No definitions or sample sentences. Thai used to be a good app. It was worth paying for. However, it apparently is now being managed by someone who doesn't provide definitions or sample sentences which makes it worthless.

Ok. Was better before ios11. Unable to sync to iCloud.

love the app , but it's not free.... i love the flash cards! but when you say FREE , it has to be FREE, not one level is free and if you want more you have to pay $10 .

Lovely and sehr gut. I mostly use the Daily Word feature and love the variety of vocab words and especially the ability to not only hear the pronunciation of the vocab word, but also the sample sentences. Very nice app. Thanks.

Excellent. I really enjoy this app. The options are great and I like getting the word of the day. It helps me keep up with my practice.

Bad audio only one word per day. I don't like this app because of the bad audio. If you could turn up the audio in the app and could get more than one word per day I would definatly give this app more stars.

I love this App. I think this app is great because I just need to learn some of the beginner words so I don't really need the extra levels. I love the flash cards and I honk this app is so fun and easy. I wish you can have all the levels but otherwise this is a Grrrrrreeeaaatttt app!!!😝🎉🎉

Word power German. I have had this app for a long time and it is been so helpful to me, being able to hear and practice sentences in German. I also think it very handy to review flash cards and easy to navigate around this app to review certain words or sentences. This app has expanded me quest to learn more and more. I would recommend to anyone interested in learning the German language. I hope to be able to fully understand and successfully speak it, that is my goal. Michaeline M

Sehr gut!. I look at the word-of-the-day almost every day. It pronounces it, puts it in sentences, and even lets me say it and play it back. Nice app.

Fun. This used to be a very good app but for the last several months all you get is useless words like holiday names and geographical locations... Often with no explanation or meaning.

Great app with flash cards. Love the app and germane pod 101 tools are really good. This app allows you to create custom flash cards and is really good.

I don't know. I liked the app the first day I used it, but now it sounds almost like the audio on mine is completely different from the displayed word. And when it updates, it messed up my word bank. I wouldn't recommend it unless these bugs are fixed. I don't know much about German, but I know that the audio in no way resembled the displayed word.

Gets the job done. It's not perfect but then again it is free. Grammar needs some work, like using du instead of Sie all the time.

Accomplishes Its Purpose. Don't expect this app to teach you to speak fluent German - that's not its function. It is, however, a fun learning tool for developing more precise pronunciation skills.

v1.5 update erases your wordbank!!!. Although the v1.5 update gives you the ability to add more than one word a day, it also erases the wordbank that you might've built up over months by launching the app every day! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional on the part of the developers, showing such disregard for their users' time & effort. Skip this update & wait for the next one that does NOT trash your hard-earned wordbank!! I'll change my rating from one star after they fix this.

Great. I enjoy the word list and I find it very practical. I am withholding a star because I would have liked them to present the word in the correct gender from the outset, e.d Die Hand. I would also like flashcards to test using English an d German

Include Definite Article. I like this program as a supplement to my regular language learning program to improve my vocabulary. It's shortcoming is not including the definite article for each noun.

Somewhat Helpful.... I am taking German this year (and hopefully my other years in high school) and I like it when I recognize the words that I learned in class. But some of the words...like "godfather"...aren't words that I'm going to be using on a daily basis. So words that people use all the time would be my suggestion.

New updated version. I like the app just as a way to increase my vocabulary. However, in the latest update, you do not include the article (der, die, das) with many of the nouns. The previous version was much better in this regard.

.. The only problem i have is, there aren't any descriptions of what some of the words actually mean like mullermich and bitburger. But other than love it.

GermanPod 101 Word Power 3.0 broken. The previous version of the free app worked fine. But now this latest version is totally broke. Didn't the developers test the app before releasing it? Since downloading the new version last week, I've received just two words, although I do get alerted at midnight that a new word is available. Please put the old version back in the app store until the new version us fixed.

Stop whining. It said it only gives you ONE WORD a day if you would read you'd know!!! I think it's great if you need a refreshment on your German vocabulary. 👍😃

Great reference tool and study aid. Wonderful app. The flash cards are a tremendous help, and the ability to see and hear the word is great.

Good but needs to be better. NEEDS Articles for the nouns! How are you supposed to use new words without the gender!?! But it's also definitely for people who know a bunch of grammar/conjugation, there are no conjugations for verbs. Beginners may be easily lost...

Do NOT update. When you update it will kill your word list and you have to start over. Just updated and still have the same problem with updates killing my word list. Vey very frustrating. Aside from that I enjoy the new words per day.

A GREAT WAY TO LEARN FOREIGN LANGUAGES. I wanna know every language, wich is impossible because many ancient languages are unkown. But this is a good way to learn some of those modern languages.

used to be a great app. this was a great and fun app I used to look forward everyday to seeing what word they would pull out of the hat next but the update screwed everything up.. I thought the purpose of an update was to make things better and more useful..not render them useless.. when you choose to listen to the pronunciation of the word, the word spoken doesn't match up with the word shown..good luck trying to learn german that way..fix it please!! come on guys you can do better than this, this is ridiculous

no articles or plurals. Learning German words without learning the article and plural is pointless.

great. I have this in several languages and it is a very effective way to learn. especially for those who are very limited on free time.

Basic, only worth it because it's free. Some words have the wrong audio attached. New word notification at midnight is REALLY annoying if you keep your phone in your bedroom, only option is to turn off the notification & try to remember to check the app each day.

Useful. I use it as a basic app everyday for German studying.

Lite Version. The lite version is an absolute scam. I'm sure the full version is great but don't bother with this. Its too small to be the slightest bit effective. Off to trash you go.

Wordpower. Needs to be related to tourist needs. Should match menus, deutchebahn timetables & ticketing wording. Found WP useful bit wanting in basic travel needs for translation.

I like it. Simple, easy and as regular as clockwork. This app is good at whst it does but if u want some complicated app go elsewhere.

Word Power sound. I have just uploaded this app and have been following suggestions in the help to try and get sound. Too much mucking around - the sound on other language apps works. Pity, the French app ( which has now lost its sound, used to be my favourite.

Rubbish.. Refuses to download. Just tries over and over and over and over....

Another useless language app. What are you meant to do? Just learn one word a day? So how long will it take to learn a language? Too long for me....

Meh. Not to to bad, but could be improved in some ways like being able to learn more than one word a day.

Minor problems but overall, very good language app. This is one of the best German language learning apps on iTunes. I bought the full version and I think it was worth the money. Two things though; first, it would be nice if they would say the gender article along with the nouns when using the voice pronunciation feature. e.g. "Das Bier", "Der Finger" Secondly, the male voice pronouncing the phrases pronounces them much too fast and it's hard to even distinguish each word from the others. But overall I really like this app.

Meh. Some of the phrases seem a bit unlikely. But what can you expect from a free app.

like this app. I quite like this app

great for supplementing a university course. Im using this and the spanish/french ones. Theyre great for supplementing a course, but you wont learn a language with just vocab. These apps are only intended for vocab tho and theyre fantastic at it. The daily "word of the day" push notifications remind you to use the app and the word of the day is the same in every language which is really nice if youre learning more than one.
