Asking for bug fixes. The average grade for each subject does not update correctly even though the graded items do update. So your app often shows a different average grade than what the student’s school device shows even though the details listed are the same for each class. Sometimes there is a big difference in the average grade due to that bug. However if you contact tech support, they are quick to blame it on the school 🙄 and ignore the bug. Makes no sense why one version of the PowerSchool app shows the correct average grade for each class on the school device, but the iPhone app shows incorrect average grades — the overall grades do not update properly. So you might not know if your kid is passing or failing a class because the overall grade doesn’t update correctly in the iPhone app. Their suggestion was to uninstall and reinstall the app which I was already doing many times each semester. No other app that I have ever required uninstalling and reinstalling weekly (or daily potentially) just to show the most important information correctly. They also ping your notifications frequently with NO explanation for what the notification was for so it’s a guessing game for what may have changed. They also were quick to blame that on the school and ignore the request to improve their software.

Multiple problems within the app.. Sadly PowerSchool has not been working for it only me but multiple students within my high school. With multiple signing out and signing back in, deleting the app multiple times it was no use. My GPA would not change and it made me upset I could not see my grades. Powerschool does have pros and cons to it but as a corporate you should want users to feel at ease with a resourceful app and less bugs but sadly they failed. It used to WORK but as you can tell by this review it’s not hitting anymore. Dealing with this app and trying to fix it like I made it have me stress and others stress just to check there grades and stress is a form of mental health problems so now it’s not good for me. I feel bad I hopefully will be back once they fix the crashes it deep down is an amazing app before all the problems that hasn’t been changed.

Great app if teachers would use it!!!. This is a great app but not all teachers use it daily to update grades on assignments Idea San Benito Texas 4th grade teachers don't use because they try to cheat the system (giving students till the last day of a quarter day to submit assignments) on the students that aren't turning in assignments on time and are not on the virtual meetings on time/don't attend which it's like let's hurt the students that are doing their part on attending the meetings and submitting assignments for the students that don't. I've addressed this with the assistant principal and the lame excuses they now are going with changes of submitting grades well when a student attends day-to-day in-person us parents see our child's daily progress same goes with PowerSchool app it allows us, parents, to see our child's daily virtual progress which helps us to see how our child is doing in a daily basis and if we need to intervene and help in an area. I don't believe Idea Public School's head administration invested in this app to misuse taxpayers' money in which teachers/principals are not using the app entirely.

I wish all the 5th grade teachers would get on the same page with PowerSchool.. I’m sure 4th-6th grade parents are are a little annoyed that grades are hardly updated. I know my daughters main teacher always finds the time to enter grades and to watch the class carefully. I Not once has SS or Science been updated. We now have 15 minutes for each of those classes🤦‍♀️ once the beginning of the year started it was bumpy, then it was smooth. Now every time they bring the kids back 5x’s a week 1/2 days “ for consistency” it’s a gigantic mess again. Half days were said to help with consistency, however it’s more confusing than ever. My child needs remote however the risk of losing her teacher, and. Of course nothing normal & of course they will be and back home. What consistency is there?

A real review. Okay so how useful this app is depends on district involvement. The only thing my district uses through PowerSchool is grades and attendance. Not the lunch or schedule or calendar or anything. This app is pretty useful but I turned in one assignment late and it was under the late tab alllll year. Like seriously I turned it in it got graded it wouldn’t leave the late tab. Sometimes the faults in this app is the teachers fault like wrong grades or wrong icons so I can’t be mad at that. I have noticed you can do a lot more on the computer than phone with powerschool. You have all the different tabs like a+ signing up for classes and more and on app you have none sooo yeah it’s a helpful useful app with a couple annoying imperfections but overall it’s not like there’s much of an alternative but it’s a good quality app and easy to navigate.

Life changing for parents who want to be more involved in their kids schooling. Before downloading this app, the usually conversation between my child and I were fairly basic; “hey baby, how was school?” Followed by; “Do you have homework?”. This app allows you to check assignments and grades on the fly. My daughter failed to turn in a piece of homework and I received a notification in the middle of the afternoon through the app the her assignment was missing. When she got home, we were able to figure out what it was and get it taken care of. I’m guessing this all comes down to the school and the teachers following SOP’s and the app working properly. If there are any parents out there considering this app, give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.

Could be better :). The app has logged me out and locked several times... my school has had to also reset it numerous times which has taken so long for what seems like no reason. The stars like many would probably say make you feel bad about yourself and grades because of the GPA rating system with stars they have created. If they would have never updated the app this year there would be no problems with anyone and their school probably?! Overall the idea is great and it tracks my grades pretty accurately but some things could be improved and added such as color customization and the allowance to change your ID photo. :) also are we all just trying to get this app banned?! 😂👌🏻

The boundless mediocrity of PowerSchool. PowerSchool has potential but ultimately falls short of expectations. The interface feels outdated and clunky, making navigation frustrating. It often takes longer than it should to find essential information like grades and assignments, which can be a real hassle, especially when you're in a rush. Additionally, I've experienced frequent bugs and slow loading times. At times, the app crashes or fails to load, which disrupts my ability to stay updated on my child's progress. Notifications can be inconsistent, leading to missed updates on important assignments or deadlines. While the app has useful features, such as grade tracking and attendance monitoring, the execution leaves much to be desired. Improvements in the user experience, interface design, and overall stability are crucial for making PowerSchool a more reliable tool for students and parents. Until then, I can only give it a two-star rating.

Great app!. As a high school student whose entire school uses this app, I think in general, it’s just really good. It has an easy-to-use interface with everything about your grades and classes you’d need to know. It updates regularly, and I love being able to get a notification when my grade changes. I also like how it lets you compare your grades to previous quarters or see them stand-alone. It’s also what I use to figure out what classes I have next and what time they start/end. In general, I highly recommend this app to any school district that doesn’t use it. It’s easy for both students and teachers to use, and has great results.

I am a parent. I just wanted to let everybody know that this app is awesome at helps me talk to my son and to let him know what he’s falling behind him what he needs to do better in and when he skips class or when he’s absent or tardy every single day lol well I guess that’s not funny but you know what I’m saying and yes I don’t get the grades sometimes where the only go up one or two points when there’s a big grade put in I don’t get that at all just like the other day, my son had a 30 and then I looked again later that day, and he was passing like I don’t get the grade part about it but I do love the app it does tell me if my son is doing his work like he supposed to which he wasn’t in the beginning and still kind of slacks, but he is trying to graduate this year so he is trying a lot harder than normal because like me, my son does not like school at all but unlike me, he wants to graduate and have a better life than I had growing up.

Its okay. I love this app because it helped me see my grades quickly and easily. Although sometimes my grades would not be shown when updated which makes me have to sign in and out I still liked the old update better. It was clearer to see my grades. Some may want to have privacy about grades since they don’t want people knowing their business but for me it was quick and easy. I would use this in class to quickly see my grades for the class and then be able to know whether or not a assignment would put me down a lot or bring me up. Also the colors I really did like the old white background with the black text but I don’t know how I feel about this one. I really hope you can add some settings where you can choose a display rather then having a display I’m not comfortable with or doesn’t work with me.

Highly Disruptive and Manipulative by Teachers. Invasion of a family’s right to privacy, family time, evenings and weekends due to the fact that Teachers go unchecked with off handed comments and there is no discrimination and no racism allowed in public school. There’s laws by teachers regarding professionalism and Hana Robb is not certified as to her Teacher position. She is hateful as a human and bullies me as a parent at her second job at a grocery store. She hazed me from that job and was angry and near unwilling to face me as the Math and Coding Teacher for my youngest daughter, I ought to sue NBMS and NPS for discrimination based on race, socioeconomic status and blatant racism and the fact that the Principal violates FERPA and McKinney-Vento Act by texting, gossiping and mistreatment of former high school students and allows the Vice Principal to breach confidentiality and FERPA by showing parents other students’ test scores because he thinks it’s okay. No accountability and this application is micromanaging a student’s performance and also misuses and abuses access to family and parents regarding student progress. Hana Robb is racist.

PowerSchool. PowerSchool has been a very helpful app to keep up with all my grades. You can log on from more than one device, such as your phone, if you have the app, or your computer. As long as I have my phone it shows me my grades and it updates them automatically soon as one is put in. More than one person can have the app too. My parents look at it to make sure I’m keeping up. It shows you how many absences you have had, it also shows you the reviews your teacher gives you after the quarter of school. You can also see grades from previous classes you had and the ones you will have coming up. It shows you the grade of each individual assignment and any comments your teacher had about it.

Awesome Convenience!!. My child is going into 11th grade & this app has kept me in the loop for many years! Kids don’t Always tell you about assignments or why their grade is lower so this helps me be able to check for missing assignments that I was not aware of. I love how I can periodically check on every class any day at anytime so long as the teachers have it all updated. I can add money to her lunch account with ease as well. Enrolling her was a bit of a hassle as I had to push the back button 2x after each form was filled out to be able to move to the next. There was not a skip option for the ones that I did not need to fill out so that was a bit of a pain trying to navigate. All in all I give this app 5stars simply for the fact of it helps keep my daughter and I on the same page of her class times & the work she is missing or has failed on even when other assignments are due.

Definitely A Game Changer. This app has definitely helped me get better grades. I am a Hard working student and I have been able to see if my grades have slipped and why. I am appreciative that this app has so many neat features. Honestly, I never was happy with my grades a few years back and now I’m a straight A student. The app includes many features a student would need. These include: Attendance, grades, missing assignments, grade point average, teacher comments, school announcements, lunch transactions w balance, activities, and standards progress. It has given improvements to grade formatting and assignment filtering. These improvements help people to easily connect to your district server. It constantly has improvements to expand your knowledge of your school account. Honestly, as I’ve said before this app would be an absolute game changer if you have a good work ethic and motivation to improve your grades.

GREAT APP. Ofc this is a wonderful app for checking your grades and keeping update of stuff I need to work on. This app is so great that my school uses it for its main program for students. All my grades are organized and I’m always keeping track of all my grades. I don’t know what other app I would use for checking grades but this one, and it’s super simple to use (if u have never used this app) your school usually gives you an account and all you have to do is wait for your teacher to put in your grades, afterwords your final grade will show up in a bar if u click that bar it will show all you grades that averaged into your final and all the assignments names. If I could I would give this app more than five stars

Emails and current assignments. Some of the issues that I don’t like about it is that it does not allow a copy of the emails you send to a teacher and with having short term messages loss I like to keep a copy of the emails. They taught me in the Air Force to always keep a paper trail. The application does not keep up to date all the assignments. For example it may be good with keeping up with the grades from Canvas but not in AR assignments. Also some of the answers on the quizzes are wrong and need to be fix for instance an example if congruent triangles has only one correct answer and the question asks for two answers when there is only one correct one. When you answer the question with the correct answer it is counted wrong. Who are writing these questions with the wrong answers or there is more than one correct answer? It is teaching our students that it is okay to choose a wrong answer and it will be right. WRONG!

Glitches and sync problems-not the best app. Edited to Add I also do not understand how a grade will only change 1 point when large grades are put in. Meaning when you have 2 gold grades that are supposed to count for 60% of the final grade get put in but it does not change the final grade at all. For example the overall grade was 85% and then 2 gold grades (which count for 60% of the overall grade) that are A’s 100% are added but the overall grade only increases to a 86%. It makes no sense why 2 A’s for the highest counting grade did not increase the overall grade more?!?! I do not like how the student’s grade will show a number grade and then sometimes change 2 or 3 points when no new graded assignments have been put in to get the calculations. I do not understand why sometimes it changes the number grade when no new assignments or grades have been put in the system. Also the Syncing problems last for days at critical times when the student needs to know what their grade is before deadlines have passed. This is very aggravating for both parent and student. If the student does not know where they stand with their grade or what they made on a grade for days, it makes it impossible to talk to a teacher about a mistake in grades. When deadlines pass for the teacher with the county school system and then nothing can be corrected or changed. All of this makes this app not very helpful during critical times. Glitches need to be fixed!!!!

Helpful but.... The app is great allowing parents and students to keep track of grades. However I am giving it 3 stars due to the complexity of the username/password issues we have had. I always save my usernames and passwords to a locked file. The app on my phone is sending me alerts daily but when I click on them I have to login again. Each time it tells me my password is wrong even when it stores it. The recover password is a complex process often saying some sort of error not letting you login so you go through the process again only to find out it did save your password and you must choose another new one. So stay logged in or lose 15min of your day. Keep in mind you will have to change your password often as well. Just a heads up to users out there.

I love this app. I’ve been using this app ever since, actually I think it’s been a app on phones. It has helped me with school so much more than it can imagine. Ever since I had the app, my grades from 7th grade to now have improved to literally all A+ or at least a A because the app aloud me to check my grades daily, when ever I wanted, and on the go. But that gave me the chance to write down what I felt like I needed to redo, or it directly let me email what teacher I needed to email about something. I hope to see more improvements from the app, especially since online school is a thing now and zoom classes is google meet is our classroom now. I would like to see a colab with that.

it does its job...but the new update...🥴. I really liked using the PowerSchool app for school being able to rearrange the way I saw my GPA, recent assignments graded, and overall class scores etc. I also really liked the blue and white theme—as I’ve gone through school I’ve associated certain classes with certain colors and now this new update has chosen random colors for all of my classes. Also another thing is I like my grades to be private and now the letter grade for each class is HUGE! So prying eyes are most likely going to be able to see my grades. And my GPA is super tiny now. Weird. Also another annoying thing about this app is that it doesn’t show how your teachers weigh their grading (if like a class was 70% tests and quizzes & 30% class work) Oh one last thing: you can’t change your little profile photo. It sticks with you school photo (which 9 times out of 10 looks really awful.) You are the only person who sees this picture so why not let us change it to a picture we like better? Like I said the app works great other than the new color theme/update. There are a few things that bother me but it’s still doing it’s job: showing you your grades etc. Hope this helps!!

Love this app!. I love this app because it makes it super easy to check your grades whenever you like. Not only does it say your grade, but it also shows all of the assignments that you have ever done in your class, and it tells you if you have a missing assignment. That has really helped me a lot by raising my grade, because I know what I am missing, and what I need to work on to get handed in. I totally recommend you to get this app if you are constantly checking your grades, and just need an app that is convenient for doing just that. Another thing that it says on PowerSchool is your meal balance, (the total amount of your lunch money) and that really helps too.

Needs IMPROVEMENT. Using this app is nicefor the parents to monitor their child’s grades, BUT IT DOESN’T POST DAILY AND THERE IS NO WAY OF TELLING IF YOUR CHILD HAS DONE THE ASSIGNMENT UNTIL YOU FIND A BIG FAT ZERO!!!! By the time the parent sees this and emails the teacher , it’s TOO LATE to FIX THE PROBLEM. I had one teacher kept telling me if I was so concerned, I should’ve scheduled a parent-teacher conference last week!!! WELL, there is no place knowing when they block their week off for conference times and NO PLACE TO SCHEDULE A CONFERENCE OR ANYTHING. Tons of improvements could be made to make this way more efficient for parents and students alike to keep track of daily work. I never was shown until my daughter was in the 8th grade even about this app when I went to the school to find out about her grades. It was very difficult to set up and the guidance counselor set mine up doing it like 5times to get it started and never explained nothing about it!!!! So, yes I observe it daily, but it’s NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE. It doesn’t need lots of IMPROVEMENT for sure. But, thank you for trying something. It just seems it’s a lazy way if NO COMMUNICATION between a teacher and the parents. We NEED TO GO BACK TO OLD SCHOOLING and the TEACHERS NEED TO TEACH AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE PARENTS BEFORE ITS TOO LATE TO FO ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR CHILDS GRADES… one simple little email to parent would work . Thank You

Best for Frequent Conversation Material. Without this app, I I would be lucky to have 20% as much conversation with my child about school. Because of it, I am very informed with the current events with grades, recent grade changes, and trending direction of the grade in each class. I know exactly which classes need different studying strategies. I can also see the classes that are doing so well, that I don’t feel qualified to do anything but admire them. Until I downloaded this app, I felt lost in conversations about the classes. I think knowing that I understand and care about what is going on, makes my child care more also. I love the app! I can’t think of a downside.

Easy-to-use Mobile app. The PowerSchool app is as smooth as butter on a mobile device. The website glitches sometimes on the web if you are using your phone, and the mobile app is the best solution for that problem. There’s not much to complain about the app except the fact that it doesn’t connect to the mySchoolBucks account correctly. It’s always going to say $0 for the food balance, but it is a small bug that can be fixed later. I am very satisfied with this app, but would like to see it integrated with Schoology in the future. instead of using the two apps for school, I can access both my grades and school work from just on app. Overall though, the PowerSchool app deserves 5 stars; must download.

New Look Makes Checking on Kids Progress Much Easier. I have to be more hands on this school year due to less than stellar grades last year. I was dreading the usual slog though the Powerschool data presentation that kept me from checking grades as often as I should have, but I was pleasantly surprised at the updates in the app for the new school year. The customizable page presentation, progress emails, and, attendance alerts help me keep up to date with my child’s progress so that I can be more proactive sooner that I was in the past, rather than dealing with damage control when it all collapses. Public school parents, teachers and students need all the help we can get. Kudos to the developers! Don’t stop striving for every little improvement.

Too many password updates. In general this is an easy way to keep up on my kids’ grades and any missing/late homework, but my goodness, why do we have to change password multiple times a school year?! Additionally, it seems you have to go to the website to change the password, and cannot do it from the app, which is inconvenient for mobile users. Lastly, please make a notification on the app when you open it telling you your password is expired and to change it in order to see the latest grade reporting! Nothing on the app prompts users to update or that an action is needed, so I blissfully checked my kids stuff for weeks before I realized, hey, nothing has changed on their grades in here. I went to the website, was told to change my password, and boom, there were weeks worth of grade changes I had had no visibility to in the app. Please, developers, update these few small things and it would be a 5 star rating from me. The mobile app is so much more convenient than the website. Thanks!

Power school. I think power school is a really good app. It updates my grade right away and it notifies me every time I get a grade. Power school is really easy to use I also like how it lets u change ur profile picture. The only thing I do not like about this is that some times it will show old grades instead of ur grades at the moment and I get confused about it. Power school can be used for many ages it’s really nice to use and u can easily get into it all u have to is ur email and ur school thingy. It’s also really easy for my mom to use to see my grades and my siblings grades so we don’t have to go though a hassle to see them. And my mom can give use things like tv and stuff if we have good grades. That’s what it’s very useful for it also lets u email ur teacher if u have a question or smth. It also lets u see ur old grades from last quarter and it tells u if ur missing any assignments. This is why I give Power school 4-5 stars:)

I’ve just stopped using this.. This app is a EXCELLENT idea, quick access to your grades without dealing with opening your browser, however this app does not work as promised. Honestly i’ve just stopped using it altogether, I hope that this will get an update to fix all its errors but until then it’s just gonna stay in a folder on my phone. Everyone complains about how you must login several times to see your grades but that is the least of my concerns. For me I can’t even access them anymore. I used to login twice and see grades that are very out of date and a GPA that didn’t change with the fluctuations in my grades. Now I cant see anything. Don’t get me wrong, I am able to get notifications when a teacher puts a new grade into the grade book but when I attempt to login to see them I only see the word “Authenticating” and a spinning wheel. Nothing, i’ve waited 30 minutes before and nothing has happened. I’m not sure if that applies to everyone but from peers i’ve talked to they’ve just resorted to signing in through a browser like me. Powerschool please fix your app, we understand that the multiple logins can be for our safety but not being able to access it at all is ridiculous.

Not the best but still good. This app is helpful in the way that you can check your grades, attendance, and schedule but it’s lacking in certain areas. It does give notifications once your grade changes in a class but it gives you a letter grade, it would be better if it was a percentage. It takes forever for your grades to sync to the app on my phone, although i can go on my computer to the website and it is fine there. Just today I had to delete the app off my phone, restart it, then redownload the app. This is because no matter how long i waited (which was for weeks) and how many times i refreshed, it would not sync. A message would pop up saying something along the lines of “ there was a problem syncing.” That was really annoying as i couldn’t just quickly get on my phone to check my grades. It is a fairly good app to check things a student would need to check but it does need some tweaks to be a great app.

App Crashes. I would normally rate this a five-star app. It always updates right away, loads quickly, gives me my grades or attendance the moment they change, et cetera. However, since the iOS 16 update, my app will constantly crash. It won’t even load in properly before crashing. I have tried uninstalling the app and redownloading it, but now it won’t even let me sign in before it crashes. I wish this would be fixed. I don’t always have access to a stable enough network to log in via the web and it’s more awkward to go online when I normally have immediate access to the app. All complaints aside, I do find this app super helpful normally. I just wish I could still use it now.

Best for school. My son likes to say that he forgot what homework assignments he has and always forgets. But this app keeps him on track and tells us exactly what needs to be done. Also the teachers are so awesome with updating the grades as they go so everything is clear and if you ever have a question, you can reach out to a student or email the teacher and there right there to help with an assignment. This is probably the best App that doesn’t only help our son but helps us as parents to also be able to watch his GPA grow since the GPA is always posted. Love that we can see his grades daily, help him when he needs help and not get surprises when reports cards come out months later. I’m definitely loving the digital age.

Helpful, but can be annoying at times. As a student, my school and grades RUN on PowerSchool, so it’s helpful to always have the app on my phone so I can check my grades anytime. Personally, I think there’s nothing spectacular about this app that gets it 5 stars, but is a problem that I find to be very aggravating at times. Mainly, when my grades are updated, I get the notification, but on the app, they are not actually updated, no matter how many times I refresh. I normally have to wait a long time for this to happen, or I just log on to my computer to check my grades (they are updated immediately on there). I would also recommend that instead of notifying us when our letter grade changes, we get notified when the actual percentage changes (e.g. “Your grade is Pre-Calculus H is now 95”). I also wish this app was less glitchy, updated quickly, AND we had access to see our grade history from previous years, as I can only see this on my computer as of now. Plus, it would be great if our GPA, shown on the home screen also updated with our grades for that quarter/trimester/semester, and not keep showing the GPA from the LAST term. Other than that, I do appreciate the convenience of checking my grades and attendance on my phone, but this app has a LONG way to go.

Uncalled for...... I would appreciate it if you updated my kids school that they are no longer to attend..... we got a call Tuesday night the day before school started at 4:55 PM telling me that my kids could not attend the school that they just had a back to school night zoom meeting with their teachers, supplies bought for their classrooms, letters in the mail from the school that they were told they could no longer attend the night before school started...... saying they were excited to start the new school year!!!!😡 PLEASE UPDATE MY CHILDREN'S POWER SCHOOL...! Your and that principal Were so quick to make my children’s life miserable. And all you have to do is type in words on a computer.... to update which school they attend....

For Students. As a student I really like this. It lets me check my grades, check if I have missing assignments , or lates. The app is super easy to use, and it is pretty quick. You can check your grades without internet, but if your teacher had put in more grades since it last updated ( basically the last time you had internet) it might not be completely accurate. The only thing I would change, is make it so you could message your teacher through powerschool, but that is NOT A BIG DEAL. It would just be more convenient, especially for kids who don’t have an email, but want to get ahold of their teachers. Overall this is a great way for students to stay on top of their work, and would definitely recommend!

Helpful but very annoying.. Although it may seem this rating is harsh, the process to log in every single time you want to open this app is very annoying. I like to check PowerSchool often to see how my progress is and in each class. When I heard about the PowerSchool app I was thrilled. In order to escape from the dreadful error messages for not using PowerSchool for a certain extent of time, I downloaded this app. I was very disappointed because of the numerous times I would quickly check my grades and research more in depth half an hour later only to find I needed to log in again. To the devs, please fix these problems. It is absolutely unnecessary to log in every time you want to use the app. Such “security precautions” are unacceptable. In the meantime I will use the more convenient PowerSchool which can be found by searching it up in safari(google chrome etc.).

Fix Your App. I've been using PowerSchool Mobile for about 2 years now, and ever since I first opened the app, it's had serious issues. For starters, I have to sign in not once, but twice to check my grades. This alone wouldn't be such a large issue if it didn't take nearly a minute for the page to refresh to even allow you to sign in for a second time. I remember at the start of the 3rd quarter of last school year, the app had a massive malfunction, affecting all those attending my school at the time. We were left unable to check our grades for nearly a week. As I am typing this, the app again is experiencing difficulties, as notifications appear to be turned off all across campus. I checked my settings, and nothing seems to be preventing notifications from coming through. I've even talked to my peers about this concern, and it appears to again, be a school-wide issue. The app itself is a great concept, allowing students to check grades on the go. However, with so many issues and new ones popping up every other week, it just seems like little care and effort is put into PowerSchool Mobile.

Great app for school but a few errors. I love this app so I can see my grades threw my phone its faster and easier to use than logging into your school Chromebook. But there is a few downsides I hope you guys could update. So usually when I get a notification that one of my grades changed, it says that my history or cooking grade when up or down, but when I click it, it’s still the same grade as it was before. I have to reload the page multiple times ( sometimes close out and in of the tab repeatedly) just to see it, and sometimes it doesn’t work till the next day. It could just be the internet, but everywhere I t try it’s still the same. I hope you can try to fix this problem. Otherwise this app helps a lot for people in school, and I love it!

New platform blues. First week of use for our district, so likely to get better? 1. Middle school classes and grades no longer visible, so that Algebra or French 1 class can’t go on a college application transcript. 2. Summer class grades not populating, main and guidance staff unaware of even deadline expectations. I don’t see that on our academic calendar. 3. Our high school is named “High School” instead of State College Area HS. Looks sus when sharing the unofficial transcript. 4. I’m supposed to confirm my phone number, but there’s no spot for that. 5. Can approve nurse administration of otc meds to both kids at the same time, but their doses need to be the same. Submit button still lit after clicked. And would switch automatically to the other kid. Awkward. 6. Space for emergency contacts? 7. Notifications settings awkward, would love to have it text, sure! But hard to do without a phone number. 8. Roll out—frustrated Monday when parent signin enabled, but not students. Esp when summer grades, fall schedule and transcripts not working. Communication is good. 9. SAT scores—just the total documented, not the 2 scores. No PSAT score? 10. I might be alone in this but I want a total record of their classes and grades, teacher names and comments. Any testing done. Print works better for me. For us to keep. But changing platforms so often can only mean that parents and districts can’t follow the impact of curriculum changes as easily. How is my district handling that?

Pretty Good App but It needs a few more Features. This app is pretty good for the current online environment in which it is hard to see my family's grades. But I think it can be given a few more features to excel in the hybrid and online schooling environment. The first thing they could add is form support for iPad and iPhone. Doing the forms on an iPad is much more convenient then having to open the desktop version whenever you want to fill a form. This app can succeed in today's market but it needs to be a lot more like the website. The Website offers many more features that are of use to parents than the iPad. Previously I just used it to check my family's grade, but now since my school has integrated more with PowerSchool more I have found myself resorting to my desktop more. Devs if you are reading this, please make the app more like the website.

The issues I have are with the app itself. I would give the app more stars if it weren’t for a couple of app glitches. As far as the grade updates go, I understand that those are the responsibility of the teachers. The previous app we used was exactly the same. This is the teachers issue not the app. Now my issue with the app is that it will log me out randomly which is very annoying. My biggest complaint is the notifications. I have my notifications on for this app to monitor my students attendance. He walks to school and I want to know immediately if he hasn’t made it. When I get notifications, I go to the app and there’s no way to tell what the notification was for. Was it an added assignment? A grade change? My student marked absent? I have no idea. I don’t like clicking on “new notification” and having no idea what I’m being notified of.

A stick has a better grading system than this.. I don’t know how anyone, including students, teachers, etc. can even have the smallest cell in their brain to agree why this app is good. The algorithm first of all. Lets say If all goes well I’ll get a 100% on my next math test. I then get a 99% on my next math test. My Gpa originally was 100%, now my gpa re-created 1940s Japan. If there was a way to fix the algorithm by choosing to up the students grade at a certain level. (Meaning that if a student got a 100% on their last test and the student then gets a 99% on the current test then their grade depending on the number the teacher chose will decide if the grade for the subject will go up or down) Second, homework and classwork should each be the same amount of point loss. This can be controlled but usually the algorithm counts it as either higher or lower, meaning there is a bug. Fix the app because I don’t want to be a looser to my successful family.

Few tips. It’s a good app and doesn’t seem to have many issues but I have just a few tips and things that might make it better. For starters, the class overview I believe should show the grades for your current marking period/semester. My school year is split into two semesters with three marking periods each, and the class overview shows my grades for marking period 1, but currently I’m in marking period 3. I think it’d be easier and much less confusing if it showed your current grades. Second, when you tap on a class in the overview it takes you to the grades for that class but again, not to the current marking period. Other than these small details the app seems to work well and I haven’t had many other issues with it. I think fixing it so it shows you your current grades and not grades from the start of the year will make the app much better and easier to use.

Problem as a Teacher. I’m a high school teacher. We use both Google Classroom and PowerSchool side-by-side for students AND parents to see grades (PS for attendance) daily. I love having the Google Classroom app because I can do everything as a teacher (grading, creating assignments, etc) from everywhere at any time. This app would have the same concept. I would be able to input grades from anywhere if I had spare time but didn’t have my school laptop, if a student needed a grade ASAP, etc. But I can’t even use this as a teacher. It always says my log in information is invalid (when I double check my log in is fine and use the same one for desktop). Trying to fix or understand the problem my log in is having in this app is impossible because the only options it gives is for parents or students attempting to log in. Wonderful concept if it could work for everyone.

The best SIS. To be honest, I don't know where all of these negative reviews are coming from. I've used a lot of different grade systems at different schools and Powerschool is by far the most effective. The new schedule feature is something that is SO convenient with my schedule at school, and it has replaced the annoying calendar on the back of my lanyard. Powerschool should continue to innovate and expand the apps functionality to accommodate new grading systems, and reduce its contracting price and market more heavily so that more schools adopt this system, because it will increase students overall effort and attendance. Seeing the grades on this app is so convenient and the app itself doesn't look like it came out 5 years ago, the user interface is very good and although it can use a few aesthetic changes, it's super effective.

Nothing but trouble.. The website on a phone is poor format. The app on the phone is possibly worse. I tried to sign in on a laptop, as suggested after calling the school for advice. The laptop is now not accepting my sign in information. So I hit forgot my password, went through the hoops, never got the activation email. Not in inbox, not in junk/spam etc… not in promotions, it’s just not in my email at all. So now I’m going to seem like a pain going to each of the schools my children go to to try and get them registered somehow someway. Every time I have submitted a form in the app on the phone it will notify me as though it is submitted and when I called the school it was submitted on their end. But to go to the next form I have to close the app completely and open it back up and hop to get access to the next form. I have more children to register you guys! This is awful! Especially because you’re representing our education system. Yikes.

Fix the Sync Issue and I Will Give 5 Stars. Update: This time when I logged out and went back in, the app now properly works. Ive been logging out and back in for two months now with the same issue. Putting you back at 5 stars! The sync issues that this app has been experiencing for the last two months are frustrating! Powerschool is not saying anything and are continuously letting us parents (who were forced to use this crap app) run in circles trying to figure out our kids grades! I can see teacher updating the grade via notifications, but when I try to look on the app, the annoying Problem Syncing error msg comes again and again and again! Make a doggone update already!!! What's the purpose of using the app if you won't fix the issues when they first arise! ALL OF YOUR RECENT REVIEWS ARE ABOUT SYNC ISSUES!!!! Is it REALLY rocket science to fix it?

Good but really laggy. I’ve been trying to catch up on my grades for the LONGEST and I’ve been doing good. My teacher graded everything on the main app where we get our assignments and my grade went up there, get this.... if my teacher grades something it will AUTOMATICALLY upload to PowerSchool. Now this has been happening for awhile and PowerSchool needs to up their game BIG TIME! anyways yea.... if you want to keep track of your grades I recommend it but if your that type of person that does‘ like to wait long ( aka not being patient) then get another app that does it fast and doesn’t wait long to upload your grades. This is an amazing app! But... This is an AMAZING APP! I use it all the time 24/7. There are a few problems, though. One of them is that when you want to see your grades, it doesn’t upload quickly! It takes about a minute to upload and when it does, the app gets a little soggy. By soggy, I mean quite glitchy. Another problem is, when you want to change your profile picture, it doesn’t upload it for you. Overall, this app has helped me a lot. ( I have been getting scared to check my grades, but it is not PowerSchool’s problem 😂) Thank you PowerSchool’s creators for making this app possible and working, so I can see my grades whenever I need/want to! (Without COVID-19) Thank you all! I am so grateful!

My all Lordy cats. The power school has given me pain, suffering, anger, I have even thrown my phone from rage. So, that’s the reason it’s a 5 star, pain suffering and anger, it gives me strength, and it gives me the motivation to do my homework in class, and still do decent at it. I use to love this app…. Not useful anymore. This power school app is no longer beneficial as the kids in middle school do not have marks in percentages. The SIS app we are now to use is not user friendly at all and I wish this app could be upgraded to reflect how my children’s grades are given now.

Powerschool grade average doesn’t make sense. My grade average grade shouldn’t drop so much when I do bad on one thing and then never go up after that FIX IT.

Blank pages. I’ve had this app since September, didn’t have any issues until it rolled over into a new year (2024) and now there’s no information or anything, just blank pages for both my kids

Only as good as the schools administration. This app is only useful to parents if the schools keep it updated and uniform. I find it’s only used to inform me when my son is late to class. No marks, no homework. This is the parent portal, but I can’t monitor what I can’t see. I understand the students have Google classroom that is more up to date, so why make an app for parents if it’s not being used to its potential?

PowerSchool is stealing our data. PowerSchool is a foreign company (here in Canada at least) that is stealing our data and selling it to American third-party companies. This, combined with the fact that the interface is absolute garbage, makes for an untrustworthy, confusing, and downright unnecessary way to manage students’ grades and/or marks. The online payment system doesn’t work at all, and timetables organized by PowerSchool are very messed up. PowerSchool makes life more complicated. Boycott PowerSchool.

PowerSchool. I love it, wished they’d had it when my son’s and daughter went to school. Love that I can keep up to date with courses, homework, missed assignments and get an instant text when a class is missed. Grandkids don’t like it, but what the hey 😉

PowerSchool does some things good like show me my grades when it works but it goes down for longer than needed during evaluation periods and there’s nothing em or the school can do. It makes life for us more stressful especially when it’s exams; I wish they’d find some work arounds for that and so we can actually see our schedules at all times

Why did they switch?. For some context, my school district had a perfect and working program to check the students grades and comments. The only complaints were that the program looked a tad outdated. So, like all good school districts, they listened to complaints no matter how small. They replaced that near perfect program with this mess. I honestly feel like when I use this app, I'm in deadalus’ labyrinthine. I cant find my due assignments, teachers comments or the damn main menu. This app is messy and please don’t complain about how your apps look over the functionality.

Glitching. The app keeps on glitching for me. If I open the app, it only opens for about five seconds, and then shuts off. I power off my phone. I deleted lots of apps for more storage. I deleted the app re-downloaded it and deleted the app downloaded it, and I still see no upgrade that I could use for the app and I don’t know why it’s not giving me an update.

Can’t see my schedule and marks. I like the old update because I could always seem my mark but now I don’t even see it when I go in, I have to press on my class to see it and it can get annoying over time. Second thing, I can’t see my schedule, it says there’s a problem so I can’t refer to my schedule if I forget what class I have at the moment :(

Slow and doesn’t work half the time. So I’ve been using PowerSchool mobile for a couple months now and it’s not been great. I use PowerSchool as a student and to start every time I log open the app it makes me log in like they can’t just save the password, but that’s a minor issue, what the main issue is is that half the time it gets stuck on processing after I put in my information which has made me have to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times. Lastly even if I get in, the app doesn’t auto update grades so I have to click on each of the classes for it to update. In short it doesn’t save passwords, I have to semi manually update grades, and it doesn’t load half the time, 2/5 stars.

Fix the watch app. There’s one big problem I have with this app, but it’s not on the iPhone. Instead, it’s on the watch app, which has one major flaw, that being that your grades only update when they are updated on the phone. This is a major annoyance as I’m not allowed to use my phone in school, making my watch the most convenient way of checking my grades if not for the updating problem. I guess they might do this to not drain battery, but if the watch is connected to the phone or WiFi, it shouldn’t even be a problem (even on cellular, it won’t drain it more than any other app). If the devs for the watch app see this review, I hope they’ll take it into consideration.

Love this app! So helpful! ☺️😱☺️👍. PowerSchool is my favorite online way to see my attendance, grades, and assignments, sign in is super easy, and it is so up to date, no ads, totally free! I’ve used multiple apps in the past but this one is the best way for a teacher student communication! I know people say there’s bugs or it’s glitchy, ITS NOT! The reason some things are slow is not PowerSchools fault it takes time to update thousands of students apps, so have some grace! This app is so amazing, and I’m not just saying that because I can, I’m saying that because it’s true, so right now, click the download button and start using PowerSchool!

I love it. PowerSchool is amazing and is very easy to use and helpful to manage and check my grade. Sure I'm not the biggest fan of the new look but I still love the app. I don't really have any complaints besides when it takes a minute to show and update the grade changes or when grade get put in but that's it a issue when it overall works for what it needs to do. There's on a small lag like a minute or two so it's not really a big issue when the app works and is easy to manage and understand

Awesome for tracking work, but. It’s amazing for me to look and find things and see all of my grades whenever I want, especially as a highschooler it comes in handy but there is one thing I wish it showed on your phone tab. Just click for missing assignments only you’re missing assignments, not manually clicking into classes and scrolling into it on my Chromebook. There’s a little tab that says missing assignments that I click. It shows me all my missing assignments and all my classes and on my phone, I have to manually open each class one at a time scroll to see if I see something that says missing

App Update is PREMATURE. It seems that Powerschool’s App was recently updated leaving out the capability to do some pretty important things....such as add a new student to an existing account. This may not be such an issue if the instructions were readily available of how to accomplish this on the new updated app. However, when trying to add a new student to an existing account this year I was met with the aforementioned issue. When I googled this issue I found instructions on how to accomplish this task on the OLD version of the app! When updating the app I feel it is necessary to also update the help info!....Also, a good update makes tasks easier...not more difficult! It is also almost impossible to leave this review! I can’t even type it on the same screen...I had to type this review through notes on my ipad then copy and paste!

Teacher comments. While this app is amazing for middle schoolers and older. And it’s amazing to openly see your grades without having to get out a big computer, and it’s convenient to be able to see your gpa and meal balance. However my one concern is that students should be able to see the comments teachers put in. For instance my orchestra teacher put some comments on my playing test and I couldn’t look at them whiteout having to get my school computer out, which is completely unnecessary if you ask me. But other than the comments issue I highly recommend this app for incoming 6th graders and older.

Great for online kids online school. I am a mother of 2, both of them go to online middle school and have lots of teachers. Normally with schoology (the program they are currently using) I can only check their grades whenever they log in and show me and for test and quizzes too. But with this app I can see how they are doing including the optional notifications about grades on tests, quizzes, and all of their class work. I can do this at anytime I want and don’t have to wait for them to show me. With powerschool the teachers can also leave comments for improving and overall a great app.

Things I don’t like about PowerSchool. Ok so I really don’t like the fact how PowerSchool is not showing me my schedule right now after they said it would be done by august 12th 2022. Also the gpa thing is messed up it don’t show my correct gpa it been stuck on the same gpa for about 2-3 years now and also they need give us a notification when are grade percentages go down not are whole grade because I need to see what I’m doing wrong in my classes so for right now I really don’t even like the app right now cause it’s not all the way updated so I can’t see my actual stuff . The last thing is they need to correct our schedules they give us the wrong timing for our classes that we have and it’s not even organized at all so please if you see this make all of this change please and thank you !!!

Could use many improvements. This is the only app I can use to to check my grades so I kind of have to use it, but it could use a lot of improvements. First of all, it makes me re-sign in every time I open the app, which I understand if it was the website, but I wish it would just be like other apps and stay signed in after I signed in the first time. Secondly, most of the time I can’t even use it to get to my grades because after I sign in it goes to a loading screen that says “Authenticating”, and then never stops loading. So I’d say it needs a couple of major bug fixes. The only thing I like about it is that it can send me specific notifactions when my grades are updates to I don’t have to check all the time.

FIX NOW!!! Schedule Calendar!. I love this app when my son went into high school i was ecstatic to know that this was available. It made me feel like I should have felt throughout his entire elementary and middle school, which is up-to-date with his work and needs. It’s so hard as a parent not to have visualization like this, because we try so hard to help our children in school but sometimes we’re lost when we don’t have the correct information in front of us. BUT…. Now I’m frustrated my OCD is going bonkers with the calendar not matching his actual schedule. It’s off by a whole hour. That’s was one of my fav features and now it’s delayed. Example my son starts 1st Period at 8:45 however on the app the calendar shows his schedule to start at 9:45. Ugh! HELP FIX IT PLEASE it would be greatly appreciated… I reached out to the school and they said they had no control over it. They submitted the correct time frames according to them. Who knows.. Anywho thank you love it but it’s giving me a headache right now.

I appreciate it. I love the idea that you can check your grades without asking the teacher, I don’t really have anything wrong with the app but my GPA doesn’t change. It says I have a 4.0 but I have 2 B’s. It’s ok I would just love to know what it is that’s the only problem I can really think of... maybe adding a feature that tells you when school gets canceled or that if you fail an assignment teachers must Wright a note saying what was wrong?! Good but could be better. I rather enjoy how easy it is to pull my grades up and see what I’ve turned in and what I haven’t. It gives me notifications if I was marked Tardy or Absent as soon as it happens so if there was a mistake I can fix quickly. That being said, it’s to difficult to view my GPA. In fact I can’t find any way to view my cumulative GPA. I’m trying to apply for college and the only way that I can is if I give them my GPA, which means the only way to do it is to ask the school for my transcript. Would make life a lot easier if I could see it from the app. On to of that I wish it would tell you what teachers weighed things (for example class work 30% assessments 70%)

Unfair charge on my students fees. I’ve the parents whom in which just got my child back last year while she was in another home had received a chrome book then at the end of school year like the last two weeks of school, she moved in with me. Having unknown of the chrome book until next school year when I received a big large bill I should not be responsible for this bill. Great, but not perfect. I love the app, it is definitely helpful. But I have found that it doesn’t show your locker number and combination like it does on the website. That would be a great feature. In the rearrange of the look of the app, I have disliked the fact that the GPA is so tiny. I don’t want to have to look to find it, I’m lazy. I love the rest of the layout, though. The icons for classes are really cute, and meal balance can be small, that’s fine by me. If they just removed GPA from that tiny top line and added it to the classes section, that would be awesome. If they added locker number and combination I would love that. It’s definitely a great app though. It’s worth having.

Not user friendly. Tried to fill in required forms needed to enroll and the app doesn’t let you scroll all the way down to submit nor can you scroll over to see the whole page. Even when turning my phone sideways to allow more of the page to be seen you still can’t get to the section to submit. It doesn’t let you edit the information that has changed, such as email address. Not impressed at all with this app. Need to fix these issues. Now that I’m writing a bad review my name and every other name I try to use is taken. Go figure.

Great app. This is at least in my top 300 downloaded apps I track grades like the all new apple airtag feature this app is simply amazing 5 stars but I wish I could add more than just 5 if I could I would give at least 10 stars just like the fact that the all new iPhone 15 pro can survive a 10 meter drop but the iPhone 15 pro now made with titanium just like this apps connection to internet super super super super super strong like the all new apple computer witch may be 5 times stronger than all the rest and is very cheap just like this app witch is free but should cost as much as 10 bucks

This really helped me when it came to my grades because my grades kept going up and down like a stock market so I did not want to wait until I got my report card I wanted to see my grades as soon as possible if I made a mistake I would know and fix my grade PowerSchool is great with its nonfiction if your those organized people I highly recommend this app this will help you to become the top kids in the class and a better student mentally I would give shoutout to the Developer and the teachers who are grading and making accounts to puts grades into PowerSchool with time and effort

Useful and Not. Teachers NEVER update grades on her then when they do you get a million notifications with different grades each time within 15min. Every time it’s time for enrollment it’s a issue with being able to register through power school you click appropriate links still nothing I have yet to be able to merge all my kids cause it doesn’t allow you to. And her I am again trying to get my daughter registered at Howard Connect coming from Calvin Donaldson and it’s a issue every year. It needs to be better access as far as parent information and proper links to click that will get you to the right location within the app to register for example I clicked the link from HCA page then I clicked the appropriate link my daughter power school comes up but nothing that says she’s successfully scheduled

Perfect app for students and parents. I know that a lot of reviews on this app are bad but most of them are good. I love this app and I think that it is perfect for students or parents who want to keep up on their grades or their child’s. I check this app almost every day now. I am trying to get all A’s and this app helps me to know if I have anything lower so I can ask for help or do extra credit. Also i have never had ANY problems with it. You can also keep track of your school schedule. I think that this is the Perfect app for students and parents.

I love this app. I’ve been using this app ever since, actually I think it’s been a app on phones. It has helped me with school so much more than it can imagine. Ever since I had the app, my grades from 7th grade to now have improved to literally all A+ or at least a A because the app aloud me to check my grades daily, when ever I wanted, and on the go. But that gave me the chance to write down what I felt like I needed to redo, or it directly let me email what teacher I needed to email about something. I hope to see more improvements from the app, especially since online school is a thing now and zoom classes is google meet is our classroom now. I would like to see a colab with that.

Won’t let me log in. Ok so I really like the app set up and it used to give me very easy access to my grades but since school has started back and I have began going to this app to look at my grades it makes me re log in which isn’t as big of a problem as it could be the main issue I am having is after I log in it says authenticating and shows a loading thing and it never loads I have left my phone sitting for over 10 minutes before and it still won’t allow me to login so the app was a great thing to have but it’s to the point know it’s just as easy to go into the web and search for it because hadethe time I can’t log in. I really hope you guys can fix this issue because it is the only reason I’m not giving it all 5 stars.

Good. I like this app it shows me everything I need for my classes the ONLY thing is I do not like that this app is not grading my grades to the right percentage it is categorized. (This is probably because of my school I do not doubt) I have a 52 in my history class when in actuality I have a 80. Makes me upset because i am a straight A sometimes A,B student. Ohh but I do wish I could see what my fees are it says a price but not for what exactly. I don’t understand why each school cab change it all crazy if all the same 3-4 schools in our district go the same grading and calculating why does our school change it in PowerSchool.

Too many issues. It can be a double sided sword, it can be useful for checking grades for kids who can’t log onto their computers to check their grades. But it seems they to never fix any issues. I have current am experiencing a problem with syncing for almost the last 3 months since my school has changed semesters. The app on the computers works fine but with the app on the phone somehow seems to never work. I will get updates of my grade changing yet when I get on the app nothing has changed since January, 4th. I don’t have the ability to log onto my school computer when I need to check if my test score has been entered. My mother has experienced problems with constant password resets and issues similar to mine.

Not getting notifications. I love this app, as a student that cares a lot about my grade, it’s a super easy way to check how I’m doing in all my classes a few times a week. However, lately I haven’t been getting notifications for when a new grade is posted like I used to. Now whenever I’m waiting on a quiz or test grade to come through, I have to keep going into the app and checking instead of my phone buzzing to tell me when the grade was posted. Also I wish I could see my grades from past years on the app like I can online for PowerSchool. Hoping for a big fix soon, because besides that this is a great app!

Log-In Issue. Overall, I like the format of the app and how easy it is to access information like attendance, late assignments, etc. However, every time I go to access PowerSchool, it makes me login at least twice. Every time I open the app to check my grade, I have to login again and this has happened to me when I check my grades, and then go back to check an assignment 15 minutes later. Furthermore, not only do I have to login more than once every time I open the app, but also the time it takes to “authenticate” the information after I login is ridiculous. The contents of the app are great, I just want to be able to access them easily. There’s no point having the app when loving in through browser takes less time and effort

Almost perfect. I have no big complaints other than you have to sign in every single time you open the app. Even if you just want a little look at your grades you have to take a 10 step process just to see your overall grade. As a suggestion some bank account apps show the amount of money you have before signing in maybe that could be an idea to use. Or have a remember me button so you only have to use your password. Other than this minor inconvenience it’s a good app.

Accessibility for families with multiple school systems missing. I have used PowerSchool for several years. I have three children and until last year I was able to view all of their info on the app in a snap. Now that my oldest is in high school, and not in the same district I cannot access his info through the app at all. I have to go online to his school website to access his power school info. PowerSchool, surely you can fix this and allow the app to support multiple district codes. Put the district codes in the student profiles so parents don’t have to choose which child they can view through the app and which child they have to log in through other means.

Inconvenient Glitch. For some reason whenever I tap a category like Grades or Missing Assignments, there appear to be new categories for a split second that would be on a teacher or parent/guardian profile. For example, I click on the missing assignments page and for half a second there is a teacher seating chart page. This is very annoying seeing as when I need to look at something quickly, it changes and I have to try multiple times to see it. I don’t know if this happens to anyone else, but if so, please fix it. This is very inconvenient and frustrating.

It works fine, does what it needs to. But I have a suggestion.. I think that there should be a way to input a grade, select what type of assignment it is, and see how much it would affect your grade. This would be very useful for students that stay on top of their grades such as myself. Some students just figure out the percentages of the assignments then go to a grade calculator online and type in every grade they have, but that is very inefficient and the student may get a percentage wrong. This would be a great addition to PowerSchool and there’s no harm in doing it.

Wonderful App for Parents/Guardians!📚🗓️. PowerSchool has been a great tool for monitoring my 7th Grader’s grades and academic performance on a daily basis. I know that teachers get busy and are unable to upload daily but luckily my child’s teachers are very prompt when it comes to posting assignments/tests and grades on a regular basis. Upon reading some of the bad reviews , that was one of the most common things that parents were complaining about. I do know that some teachers may not be as tech savvy as others so let’s try and be a little patient when it comes to that. Also, my son will have a substitute for one of his classes for the next 6 weeks due to maternity leave. There are a lot of situations that could be preventing our students grades from being posted on the daily so therefore , we shouldn’t take our anger out on the App. The app was designed remarkably and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this app. It’s awesome! 📚📓📝📒🏫🗓️📍❤️🤍🖤🐆

What I like about this app. Every day I check to see my grades and I see the exact grades that My Teacher gave to me on a paper or a test or computer test or gym grade recess grade lunch grade ,art, and music grade so if you want to see your grades use this app is the perfect one for you and when your teacher changes your grades, you see it right away change because at first I had a C now I have an A and I saw it change right away as soon as I went into the app so if you want a app you can see your grades perfectly use this app. Just get your information from your teacher or your school.

School bus. Since the beginning of the year we are having problems with the bus situation now last week I received a msg starting that there were not going to be a bus for my son that lives 13 miles from school and that this will this till further notice, when I called the school the only answer I got was I DONT KNOW” also emailed the school and is has being 3 days and no answer ! I choose this school because supposedly was one of the best but always being ah una issues and is only that bus route because every other one is working! Need answers I work from 6 am till 6 pm and I have no family here that can help me with my son transportation! Next step will be a new school for my son closer to home! Maybe a public school !

I love this app it tell you what you missing & it show you grades in it will let you do it on the phone it will show what your missing like what you have to turn in & it will let you get on & do your work that why if I was y’all I will use this app because it not lying what your missing but if you don’t like the app just delete it but I love it because it really tell you what you missing and all your classes it will let you do on the phone that why I would use this app because it helps you

I use this at school daily!. This app is very easy to navigate and use. Since the app “PowerSchool” hasn’t been working or being updated for our grades at school, we have switched to only using this app to see our grades, do assignments and more. This app is so good and it makes learning and being organized so much easier!! It shows you all Your classes, your grades, assignments, missing assignments and your even able to communicate with teachers! If your teachor has trouble replying to emails quickly this app is a good way of getting them answered faster. You will be able to see on your screen wt

perfect for students!. it's perfect for me because i forget my assignments a lot so i can check the assignment board for upcoming due dates and you can check the calendar as well. you can also quickly check your grade overviews and it doesn't have any bugs. you can add your lunch balance to it, look at attendance, email your teachers, find your overall GPA, etc. it's a good app, if your school approves it into their system, definitely get it!! every person at my school has this app on their phone and most parents do too! please please please get it, it makes your school life a breeze and helps with senioritis xd :)

Slow… but functional. The app is very slow I can find myself waiting 5 to 10 minutes when waiting for it to finish loading after signing in and the issue isn’t my internet because all the other apps run just fine and even after the update it is still EXTREMELY slow. However once you get past the 5 to 10 minute loading screen it provides grade and schedule details just fine. The only thing keeping me from deleting this “app” is how it is a more effective way to view grades in comparison to canvas. Overall the app is fine if you’re willing to absolutely waste 5 to 10 minutes of your life to try and see your grades.

Absolute must-have!. If your school isn’t using this app, you’re missing the boat big time! It’s a life-changing resource that allows you to stay up to date (in real time) on how your child is doing in school, all of their upcoming assignments/projects, and tests they need to be studying for. I made the mistake last year of thinking my child would actually TELL me these things - wrong! She’s now accountable for her work and z her overall grade and I don’t need to rely on her to keep me informed. This app is my new super-power, and I’m so glad it wasn’t around when I was a kid!!! Lol😜

Great app to see your child’s school progress. Are used to always have to log into the district website and then click on power school to access my kids records and grades. Now that they have the Power School app it’s so convenient to just tap the app and my child’s information immediately pops up and then I am able to see her grades and more with a touch of a finger. Definitely a great app! Every parent should have this if you have a student in school and your school is registered with Power School.

The app was awful but is now amazing.. As a student, it’s important for me to keep track of everything that is going on in school and this app does everything for me. A couple weeks ago the app wouldn’t be able to load my most recent grades and sometimes wouldn’t even load them in general. But after what I assume to be a great update, the app is amazing! Shows my schedule, up-to date grades, GPA, and when assignments are due(for teachers who decide to put them in). I am absolutely stunned by the changes made to this app and recommended it for anyone under PowerSchool.

Updates are nonexistent. This app has problems each year. I agree with one reviewer in that the teachers must enter the grades timely. That’s a repetitive problem. We’ve used this app for both our kids and each year at some point it stops updating. Then I uninstall and reinstall which never fixes it. This quarter there were no grades in my app so I uninstalled and reinstalled it then reset my password SEVEN times! It kept asking me to reset my password before letting me in. It’s ridiculous. And then she. You reset the password in the app it takes you out to the webpage so I could log into the webpage and not the app. What a total waste of time dealing with this. If it stops working again then I’ll just get the grades from my child and won’t use the app.

Great App!! 🤩. I love this app because it keeps me informed and is user friendly. The communication/email component is helpful but it hasn’t been quite as easy to see what was sent via email so I can have a trail of the communication. However, all the images are clear and appropriate and easy for me to understand as a parent. I know when something changes and when something is due. I appreciate this app as it is new. We came from a system that used infinite campus and the app was not quite as user friendly. Great job and I look forward to staying informed in the future. 💙❤️💜🔥💪🏾

Really, Really Great!!!. Personally, I struggle with keeping up with grades and stuff during school. Having the powerschool app helps so so much. This app helps me keep track of grades, my attendance, and assignments! I also like that we have the ability to edit our student profile, so if you go by a nickname or have a different name than what is listed on your profile when you first log in- you have the ability to edit it to your liking! :) Overall, this makes school life so much easier and way more enjoyable 🫶🏻.

Good Idea, Poor Delivery. This app is useful except for the times it isn’t. Some teachers will post assignments before they’re even graded so they’ll show up as an F or 0. Not a big deal when they finally plug in the scores, but in the meantime, my son has to deal with me harassing him over poor grades only to find out that wasn’t his grade. Another issue is the s1/s2, q1/q2/q3/q4 setup. I still don’t understand which grade is the final grade. I assume it should be the 18-19 grades but the numbers don’t add up. What ever happened to a simple “grade per quarter” system? Why not use a system that just says “here is your total grade today”? Why is it so complicated? Another issue is some classes show up multiple times under “Class Overview” and have different grades posted. Uh... what? Completely confusing. This app is useful for giving you a basic idea of where grades are, but you can’t rely on it to be accurate and definitely not a standalone resource. It could be said it’s useless given that you have to follow up with teachers to verify grades anyway...

Update for multiple school use. I would like to see the Power School app updated to support multiple schools at one time without having to login and out with different passwords.I have two kids at one school that uses Power School and a third at a completely different school that uses it to well. The only work around I found is to have one school log into the app and pull up the other school in Safari and save on my home screen. The only problem is the internet site is hard to read on the phone. If you could make an update to support multiple schools at the same time that would be awesome!

I like PowerSchool but it’s not for parents only for students. PowerSchool is good. I’m a student and it told me which class I should be in and when a new grade comes out or when I miss a class. The only problem is that when u log on it’ll say buffering and then u have to close the tab and then go back to the app but then if u leave the app again you’ll have to log back on and it’s not hard it’s just annoying. I don’t suggest this for parents I’m just telling u that your child will like it better if u don’t have it and u just trust them to tell u the truth. Cause Hover parents that hover all around your life are annoying. So parents u shouldn’t get the app and students u should

“Authenticating”. The first few times I’ve used the app there weren’t any issues with it. I loved being able to see my grades quickly instead of going into a browser and going through all of the school webpages to get to them. Now I can’t even check my grades with the app. It’ll log me out and I’ll have to log back in, so when it says “authenticating” while loading my page, I’m sitting there waiting forever and it just doesn’t load. I left the app open for half an hour and it didn’t even give me an error message. It would only show “authenticating”. I haven’t been able to log back in ever since. I’m not sure if it’s just my internet, but it also did this back when I was in person at school and when online school started. Thank you for the app, though. It was great while it lasted.

STINKS. Who here uses this during the school closure for COVID-19? Well I do, and I’m beyond disgusted. Every single person, at least six times a day and I’m not exaggerating gets an image of a cat saying “we’re a bit tangled up”. Here’s what it is translated, PowerSchool and it’s developers are too lazy to fix a simple running issue. Their app is supposed to be able to work smoothly for schools! But when my teacher has to make up new plans on your rival website, “google classroom” because they aren’t doing enough to fix it, you have officially lost one client. Now look at the big picture - How many teachers use this app and website? You can’t even keep count. Now imagine them leaving this website and finding a better, faster, and more beneficial one. You’re company is going to die. To the developers, I swear, you are digging your websites own grave. Fix it and step up.

A great app, it just needs a few new features. PowerSchool is great for being able to wrap you head around your grades and let yourself be at ease about them. However, it would be very nice if PowerSchool showed the possible amount of points that can be earned on an assignment even before the grade goes in as now it just shows a blank spot. Also, it would be nice if PowerSchool showed a student’s weighted GPA, factoring in AP, honors, advanced courses that boost a student’s GPA. Finally, it would be nice if PowerSchool showed you how much each category of the final grade in a class is worth and how many points are in each category.

Broken-ish mess. So it was completely fine before, all the way until now. So when I was switching to a new phone it was asking me to log back in. Which was fine. Since I was switching phones. But it just doesn’t work now. I have a iPhone 8 and it only will load the gpa. Leaving all the other menus in the spinning circle of death. It would be great if this got fixed, because it is faster and easier just to hop on my phone and check my grades then to open my chrome book and check them. EDIT: changed it to a 4 since it started to work again. Not 5 stars because I shouldn’t have these issues in the first place.
