Dope. As a person that just moved to a new city whose meeting a bunch of new people every day, it's hard to keep track of everyone. But the fact that I can chronologically order my contacts helps so much because I can follow up on people much easier.

Awesome app! Plain and simple!. Much needed

This is so needed. The ability to find out when you entered a contact is invaluable. I am amazed this field is not accessible through Apple. I see a name I don't know and I now look at my calendar and what I was doing that day and I usually can figure out who it is. Or, I can look on the calendar, and then see who I met that day if I didn't remember their name. It is absolutely invaluable to my lifestyle, and probably yours. Suggestion: what would make this app One step more useful to me, would be the ability to check the business name field, so that it would make the business name the item that is sorted for primary name observation for alphabetical purposes. Not a fault in the current app, but are a suggestion for a future release to make it even more awesome.

Should’ve been part of iPhone. It’s simply works. You can sort all your contacts by their creation date which is what I want. It’d be nice if you can sort by modify date too.

So useful. Someone puts their name in your phone and you cannot remember their name, just use this app.

Only shows portion of contacts. I downloaded the app for the purpose of trying to pin down when a friend and I reconnected. The app only goes back so far and shows 116 contacts when I have sooo many more. How do I get it to show all my contacts?

Life Saver!. This is the only way you can find out recently edited contacts.. I bought a combination lock for my scooter, set the combination, added to contacts, and forgot the name under which I added this. Two days later, trying to unlock the schooner, I couldn’t recall the contact. And this app saved my having to get a Dremel and cut the lock. Oh my. Thank you, thank you.

Does the job. This app fills a gap in the IOS and does it elegantly and well; as so many reviewers have pointed out, it allows you to search your Contacts by phone number as well as by name -- nothing more, nothing less. Think of it as a plug-in to Contacts. Coming to the iPhone from another PDA last year, this is one of a few functionalities, (like a global text shortcut function, or a week view in Calendar) that I've been baffled to find missing from such a generally well-designed system. The app is not designed to and does not claim to do more than that. It's a shame that its rating has been dragged down by reviewers who don't understand that.

Seriously… it’s great. This does EXACTLY what I need it to do. No frills. I add new contacts to my phone weekly for work. It’s hard to remember their names. Being able to see when I added them is SHOER helpful for organizational purposes. Thank you!

Absolutely Awesome App!. Exactly what I needed to keep track of names and numbers of people I recently met.

This Is Absolutely Fantastic. This app is not only fantastic, but it’s a life saver. As a DJ, I get requests to DJ events, and as a Graphic Designer, it’s the sane thing. This sometimes results in people asking me why I never called them. Being able to see the most recent contacts allows me to put a name to a face, and within 2 seconds of opening the app, and 1 click, all of my recently added contacts popped up. This is how all apps should be designed. Everything is easy to use, and understand.

It sorts by date.. The More hectic life gets the more you realize you need this feature for names are sometimes spelled alike or if you’re just bad with names. Until apple corrects this simple feature this app has won in a major way

Sorts contacts by date added. Exactly what I needed to do. The two possible sort types are Name and Date. Simply press the upper right “Name” and it changes to “Date”. I found the names of two people I met recently and had hastily just added their email and first names. Weeks later I found them both by using this Very handy program. Thank you programmer!

Ok for what it does.. For this app to be of much use to me, I would need it to sort contacts alphabetically but still show the creation date. Maybe in the next version?

Date sort works great. Plus you can delete by swiping. That's a huge plus. It would be great to add the creation or modification date in the Alpha listing.

Served it’s purpose. Downloaded it because I got someone’s number but for some reason their name didn’t save. If it wasn’t for this app I wouldn’t have found their number so thanks so much.

This is a good app. I used to use this and it was really helpful. Still is for most probably. One thing I’d suggest or I’m looking for is the case where someone gets a new phone and contacts transfer over to new phone; this app says I met all my contacts yesterday. Not sure if this can be upgraded but like I said it is still a good app thanks

Super helpful app for someone who meets a lot of people, helps to remember what day I saved their contact info. **Request: when searching for a contact, after the results appear, you can no longer see the date saved! Keeping the ‘Sort by’ headers visible when viewing search results would be helpful.

Great App Update. This App is now finally reliable and fast with IOS 11. It still has the feature of being able to sort contacts by date entered which is key for me. This is the App that Apple should provide with the iPhone.

It's perfect. Everything it should do it does. I have an iPhone 4s, iOS 9. something and so far it has never crashed.

Perfect, simple, just does what it promises. I love this app. It integrates with the Contacts already in your phone and sorts them by date. That’s it. It’s perfect.

Perfect app for its purpose. Got a ton of new contacts last night with leads to further opportunities. Writing down numbers and contacts is hard enough - it's worse when you can't remember names the next day to find them. This is like a follow up to do list in app form.

Excellent app. I meet a lot of people on a regular basis for business and sometimes it's hard to remember when or who they are when I'm jotting the number down in a rush. The sort by date feature is a must have! Not sure if it's possible to put a geo-tag when you enter the number to remember what state or location you met someone at especially for those who travel a lot.

Not great. If you know when a contact was added, you can search to that place in the creation date sort. But if you search for a name, or sort my name and scroll to it, you cannot see any record added date. I'm uninstalling

Does what it says and does it perfectly.. Stellar. I have no idea why apple isn’t doing this. Even so, app is perfect.

It works as advertised!. I found out about this app from an online recommendation on a forum, when I was looking for a way to figure out which contacts were recently added, so I could call back some recently met associates. I'm thankful that such a tool exists. It has saved me a lot of headache! I'm sure It will be invaluable to me in the future as well.

Great app. Great application. Instantly shows contact that matches the numbers you are typing in. My only suggestion for a future tweak would be to not only show the names that match so far but to also show the matching contacts full phone number too so you can check fully before having to enter the full number to ensure it is theres. Download is now and I'm sure that small extra feature will appear with time. Great - thanks (do not know why Apple has not added this to the basic iPhone firmware)

Great job!. This app does exactly what it's supposed to do. And fast too. Type in part of a phone number and it will reply with all contacts that have that number string in a phone number. If only it would search for a text string (in the contact notes) too.

Simple but great. Great free little app that allows you to sort your contacts by creation date, a basic feature that the standard Apple Contacts app should have but doesn't. I just wish I could make this app sort by creation date by default seeing as that is the the only reason I use this app. Instead I have to click the button to re-sort each time I open the app. If the developer ever adds that feature I will give it 5 stars because other than that limitation this app is brilliant. :)

Awesome!!. Can't believe the iPhone does not have this feature built in. I get a lot of international calls & even though the number is on my contact list, the iPhone only shows the number & not the name. Different number format by the cell provider perhaps? Anyways thanks to these plain code fellows my problems are solved. As to why ppl have given it bad reviews is beyond me!!

Simple and just what I needed. I needed this feature for a while now. It's built in to all other smart phones but not ios. Don't expect a Swiss army app with tons of features. Just a quick, clean, effective way to perform reverse lookup of your contacts.

Good. It's a good app but slow. I'm not sure if it's just my phone but the typing hesitates greatly. A little frustrating.

Finally. Great addition, at times I need to know who paged or called. It would be nice to have numbers diplayed under the names.

Essential!. Such a simple, useful app. Can't believe Apple didn't think of this. I'd give it 5 stars but since ios9 this app seems to hang and stall, sometimes for as long as 30 seconds! For me this app has become essential because it helps me follow up with every new contact quickly and easily.

Could be happier. Now that the price is right, I won't be so harsh, eventhough I paid for this practical app. It doesn't quite catch every number, if for instance a "/" instead of the N.American "-" is used after the prefix, ie 069/12345. I don't really want to change all of my irregular telephone numbers :-( I hope they can fix this glitch

Handy utility to search contact. Learn this tool from cmm.hk podcast. What a great find. This is one of those utilities that you may not use often but nevertheless it comes in handy when you need it. It may be even nicer if it can show the phone number in the search list. Well done.

A Godsend!. I got this app to weed out the ever increasing telemarketer calls. Now that it can do more generalized searches, it opens up new dimensions in finding contacts by city, etc. I use my contact list to store nightspots that I want to go to. I have neighborhood, cuisine and ratings. iContacts makes it a snap to find them.

It is reverse lookup within your contacts. You can look for contacts by the number.

Best app ever. I just downloaded this gold mine of an application. I go out very often and I get a lot of numbers that I don't remember the next day. I just found 28 numbers that I never contacted. This is heaven.

Works Perfectly. I'm in the ministry so I'm always getting numbers of other disciples and people I've shared my faith with and sometimes they get lost in the masses of numbers in my phone. It's so helpful to be able to sort them by date created.

Love how it sorts by creation date. Really helps me find the most recent contacts for my job I meet a lot of people and this really helps me remember who I just entered into my contacts recently

When I've been out of signal area and get a SMS telling me I missed a phone call, all I get is the phone number. I use this app to look up the caller to see if he/she/it is in my address book. I don't understand some of the negative reviews. This app is a simple but important app and does exactly what it was designed to do. Frankly, this app is one of those "jewels" that really makes a difference when needed.

Fast free and good!. That said it's completely brain dead on Apple's part that the search at the top of the contacts list AND the iPhone spotlight can't do this already.

Great!. What do you mean boring? It only searches your address book? Forgive me, but what did you expect it to do- paint your car? It searches your contacts- is free for crying out loud, and does something which should have been built in. Full bars- to pardon the pun!

Contact list reverse look-up.. Read the application description carefully. This is NOT a complete telephone number reverse look-up. Only your IPhone contact list is searched. If the telephone number searched falls within the bounds of your contact list, the application works well. For other telephone numbers there are reverse look-up applications on the net.

Can’t sort numbers by creation date. It works great! however, I had a person put their number in my phone last night, but didn’t put their name. I was hoping that I could sort numbers by creation date.. but it doesn’t seem to work like that.. there needs to be a name and a number. I have several un-named numbers in phone and I can’t determine when they were created with this app. Otherwise, it’s very good.

Just what I wanted. Was looking for something simple without all the flashing lights, bells, and jingle-bobs. This fits the bill perfectly. It resembles a very good paper address book. I'm not into all the social media stuff, just want a good phone and address book. And of course, the price couldn't be better.

Latest contact added, found!. Exactly what I needed after a drunken night and couldn't remember the person's name that I added. Sorted by creation date and bam, done.

No instructions...almost gave 1 star. Well this does work but can't give it 5 stars since there were no instructions and only after spending 30 minutes scouring the app and reviews for clues and about to write a 1 star review, I thought, 'hey tap on the box (not the up-down arrow next to it as I tried several times)' that did I find keys to Narnia. Awesome app but give the new guys the only clue they need to do what makes this app great- sort by creation date.

Almost perfect. Probably the best contact searching app available now. Definitely the best looking/integrated one. I used to use Super Search on my previous iPhone but it's not available anymore. One possible bug with this app: Recently it didn't find a matching text string in the Job Title field of one of my contacts. Super Search did find it, though.

AWESOME. So I just turned 21 and when I leave the bar with numbers every night wasted it's impossible to remember names and even if u got a number haha. Awesome app sorts by creation date. All I use it for.

Amazing. Yay I finally found an app where i can simply search a phone number im my contacts to see who it is. Now normal contacts app does this too but I'll keep this app anyways because it has cool features.

The missing app!. This is something I'm always doing. An incoming call and an unknown number is on the caller ID. I can quickly do a search through my Contacts list to see who the caller is. Very helpful!

Works great!. I have a pager and get numbers but don't know who paged me. This app is great - I put in the number, it searches my contacts on the phone, and pulls the person out for me. I cannot understand why Apple did not include searching contacts by number in the iOS. It is so obvious and necessary. Thank you for this app.

Absolutely terrific!!!. I've needed this since I first got my iPhone and was actually looking for a complete new contacts app when I found this handy tool. I'm so bad about writing down or only remembering a partial phone number and if it's in my iPhone's contact list, I can now find it. Love it!!!

Great App!. The simple truth is that searching by number in your own address book had to be a built-in feature of iPhone. But because it's not, this app solves the obvious question "Whose was that number?"

Does exactly what it says. Does exactly what it says. Looks up contacts (YOUR contacts) by phone number. Found it very useful researching numbers on my phone bill also helps when contact doesn't show on ID - for example if prefix wasn't stored in my contact list, it may not connect the full phone number with the local partial number I had stored. The app does not claim to be able to search an international database of numbers for a reverse search. It would be rated much higher if people would read what to expect BEFORE downloading.

Convenient and reliable. This app works very well, and it even seamlessly integrates into your phone's texting and calling screen.

Search by phone number. Searching by a full or partial phone number is all that I was looking for, since iPhone search or contacts does not have that feature. This free application does the search! Simple.

When?. Just about every iPhone app that I use has been upgraded (updated) at least once, some even more often. Not Contact By Number. So, I guess what you see is exactly what you get! But then, it is free.

Perfect!. Very useful for me,it does what it says. These other people are confused to what it does that's why it has such a low rating, it looks up YOUR contacts not all phone numbers that exist in the world!

Why can't they all be this good. I have soooo many contacts sometimes I add a number with name and no details but I m Le I added the number in my phone last week of recently and can look up by date. Perfect for me. Please download so they stay in Buisness!!

Dates are important. I like this app very much and I use it more often than the pre-installed contacts app for sure. The best feature is that you may sort all contacts by the date they were created. I look forward to more features to come.

Does what it says.. I wish the font wasn't so small. An option to increase the size of the font of the contact list would be great. Also, why can't I delete contacts. Doesn't make sense that the app let's you add new but not delete current.

Could be more helpful. The reason I've selected this app is that I have several numbers in my phone with zero info as well as random numbers not necessarily to talk to others. The goal after reading the functions of this app was to find out what day they were entered so I could use process of elimination. This doesn't work, the numbers without names do not show up on this app and all the other randoms don't show up at all. The legit numbers with no contact info only show the day that they were backed up to my PC. This was the point of my download, or so I thought.

Great for sorting contacts. I forget people's names easily. So I can sort by dates the contacts were created and I can see my most recently created contacts.

Excellent App. This app does what is says it's supposed to do. I lost my iPhone and had to temporarily replace it with another phone which I wasn't gonna take the time to input all my contacts. So sometimes when I miss calls, all that appears is a number. Now with this app installed on my iPad I can lookup the number and see if it was anyone from my contacts list. now that I've mentioned my iPad, can we get an iPad version of this program PLEASE!!! :). For the people out there writing bad reviews of this app... READ THE DESCRIPTION FIRST! And just because it may not be relevant to you, doesn't mean it isn't relevant to someone else.

Does what it says .... Very handy and fast. No more dialing back number to find out who called simply because I do not want to page through 100s of contacts to find that one number in a hay-stack.

The autocomplete that Apple forgot!. I was going nuts without the phone number autocomplete I was accustomed to on my little rinkydink cell phone. I am so happy "there's an app for that"! I still think, like others here, that it ought to be in the OS itself, but in the meantime while Apple remains clueless at least now some stress and frustration is gone. Yay! 😍😄😊

Excellent app. This app works as advertised, and solves a real problem that, to my knowledge, is not addressed by Blackberry: finding contacts by their number or part of their number. So, for instance, if a number comes up on another phone or you know part of a number but can't recall the name (and have hundreds of contacts, as I do), you can quickly narrow it down by starting the number in this app. It identifies the matching contacts and the call can be made from that screen. The price is definitely right.

Excellent!. My buddy and I were conversing about how he stored a number and couldn't remember the name. This is one of the major gripes I've had with iPhones/iDevices and the way they manage contacts within the device. Wonder whats difficult in adding the "SORT BY DATE, OR TIME ADDED" or even to pull up a contact by typing any string of text (just like how Spotlight works on OSX) you saved the name with for recollection purposes. We found one "Drunken Contacts" and it works great. He bought it within seconds…only $0.99 so its dirt cheap. This app does the same thing and its very very FREE. Unbelievable! 5 Stars!!!

Ok.......I read the front page again...... It's for calls on your landline etc. Works well, but who the he'll has a landline? I'd tell my grandfather to get this app but he doesn't have an iphone....oh and he's dead too.

Does exactly what it says.. Use this app if you need to look up a contact IN YOUR address book by a phone number. This feature should be built into IOS's search. My original Palm phone could do this. It is NOT a directory search or reverse phone look up app, so don't bother if that's what you're looking for.

Does what it says. My only comment is that I would make the keyboard go away once one is scrolling on the search results and if he goes back to typing a number the keyboard would come back.

Awesome!. Awesome app, does exactly as it says. I just got this new phone, and some of my contacts transferred weird, so it's perfect for when I get messages from numbers that don't show up in my contacts. All the people complaining about it only searching contacts in your phone are just stupid. I mean what do they expect it to do?

Great app. Works great for sorting by creation date to do two things: see the people you recently added and also to clean up old contacts. One feature I wish it had would be the ability to select more than one contact and hit delete to clear up a bunch of old contacts at once. Overall, really good app!

Complete search. This app helps you find among the words writing within your contacts what you are looking for. (When you have more than a hundred contacts). Excellent product, very happy with it. Thank you.

Why doesn't the iPhone include these feature?. I wish the phone did this anyway. But it doesn't so this app is a must have.
