Keeps Crashing On iOS 14.0.1. Looks like a good app but cannot get past the searching for HDHomeRun screen. Would not find my device but upon manually entering the IP address it crashes and now will crash immediately when started.

A MUST for proper antenna placement. The fact that this app samples many channels at one time is a wonderful advantage when placing an antenna because you can see the signal of all of the stations at one time. If you have trees, as most know, one station may work well at a specific height or location, and another may not. With this app, you can move the antenna around until you have ALL channels at 100% and your DONE! Takes the guess work out of finding the optimum signal location for your antenna. Very good!

Very cool app. awesome app. Verifies the accuracy of your Kentucky windage. Or use it during antenna installation to get it accurately pointed the first time. Wish I had the app the first time I went up the ladder! Awesome support as well.

Makes Antenna Aiming Easy. Using this app with my HDHomeRun really made it easy to re-aim my antenna and get instant feedback on signal quality without having to go up and down the ladder to check the signal on the TV.

Crashes on iOS 14. Was excited to see these features but wasn’t able to open the app on iOS 14. Crashed when I manually added a server’s IP.

Awesome App!. I used this app, an HDHonerun quad tuner I already had and another great piece of software from this developer (TV Towers U.S.A.) to install an antenna at my dad’s house, and it turned what used to be a long game of “point and guess” into a quick, simple and painless task. (More than that, it actually made it kind of fun!) The Towers app made it easy to know where to point the antenna, while the SignalGH app let me see the strength of the signals I was receiving in real time on my phone without having to run up and down the ladder. Because my HDHomerun device had four tuners, I could dial into four different stations at the same time and see how moving towards one station affected the signal I received from the others. Once we completed things and did a Channel scan, we picked up everything we were expecting and a few more. I didn’t have to re-climb the ladder and adjust the antenna once. If you have an HDHomerun, using these two apps together will greatly simplify your antenna installation process, especially if you’re doing it by yourself. I highly recommend them both. Thanks for making these great apps. Job well done!

Version 2.3 killed this app for me. I used to use this app almost every day to adjust my antenna so I could pick up hard to reach channels. It worked perfectly up until version 2.3 came out. Now its broken. Channel scans do not work and it gets the real and virtual channels all wrong. Tried reinstalling it and it was even worse. This is a serious setback for me.

Thank you so much. This app helped me fix my antenna issue so quickly. I don't even want to think about how long it would have taken me to figure out the antenna angle on my own. The angle I needed was between two towers and it was not intuitive.

Needful app. This helped me set my antenna to get the best signal for my house. A bargain at twice the price!

So useful. I was having problems figuring out which way to point my antenna. Using this I easily figured out the best spot to put my antenna. A change of 30 degrees made al the difference and I now have clear, uninterrupted signal. Saved me so much time and frustration.

Antenna Setup. This is a great app for adjusting my Antenna array. Connected to a HDHomerun I am able to see real time differences in channel strength as I adjust my antenna components.

Great for OTA cord cutters. I got this just to check the signal quality on my HDHomeRun since cutting the cord. The direction finder using the phones compass was a bonus to help aim the antenna.

New version is confusing and unintuitive. I don’t even understand what I’m looking at in this app anymore…

Positioning for dummies. This made aligning my antenna so easy. I was able to see exactly what was happening on both tuners (picking up from 2 different towers) in real time. Well done.

Feature request. The app works very well for checking the signal coming from the antenna for processing. It would be great if you could change the refresh rate when doing this though. That would eliminate the slight lag in seeing the effect of the antenna position change.

Worthless. Downloaded and it said had to have Homerun tuner to work and wouldn’t let me even start. Yet app sales info says not required. Worthless!!

Invaluable for cord cutters. I’ve been troubleshooting issues for months with my HDHomeRun Duo and Plex Live TV. Plex would disconnect and complain about a weak signal, but I had no indication of the actual signal strength at the HDHomeRun box. I purchased Signal GH, and immediately determined my signal strength was lousy. I used it to systematically troubleshoot my antenna installation, and discovered the transformer on my external antenna had a broken lead. Replaced the transformer, and Signal GH confirmed my signal strength was excellent, and the antenna was pointed correctly. I use Signal GH anytime Plex hiccups so I can rule out signal strength. Invaluable app!

Should have been included by SiliconDust. Works very well and is really useful if you have a SiliconDust tuner, because that company did not include any tools for finding setup weaknesses. I just wish some info about how Quality and Strength are defined.

Exactly What I Was Looking For. If you have an HDHomerun tuner, you need this app. I’ve been chasing down some minor pixelation on a couple of my channels for YEARS. One day using this app and I was able to figure out what was going on and fix it. Thanks for a great app that does exactly what the label says!

Extremely Useful. I’m honestly surprised in the number of bad reviews from people who can’t read and don’t understand that this is an app for the HDHomerun line of equipment. That said, if you know what this app is and what it is for, it is an invaluable tool for anyone setting up an OTA system with at least one HDHomerun device. Having live feedback of antenna positioning including all the transmitter data, compass directions, etc will ensure you get the best signal your equipment can handle. I especially love the ability to compare multiple tuners and channels on the fly to see how a position may improve one channel but degrade another.

Worth every penny. This app is amazing. In less than five minutes, I was able to make very small adjustments to my attic antenna to get 100 percent signal, symbol and quality on ALL of my over the air channels using HD home run. There is no way I could have done it without this app. In fact, I assumed some channels simply would not come in. Wrong. This app gave me feedback on tiny antenna adjustments so that I could get all stations. Really cool.

App works great !. I was having signal quality issues on my vhf channels, using this app I was able to quickly make adjustments from my attic and get my signal near perfect.

Good dev response. (See below for response) I can no longer switch channel that I’m monitoring because the list of channels drop-down refreshes on every tick, so I can scroll it before it refreshes - scrolling me back - every time. This is on an iPhone 12 Pro (not max).

Generally unhelpful software. The app crashes a few seconds after it starts. It never gets past scanning for a tuner. I’ve updated the OS, and rebooted the phone. Deleting the app and reinstalling doesn’t work either. It’s buggy software. Don’t buy it. I want my money back.

New version works perfectly!. Purchased old version for iOS a few weeks ago. Crashed repeatedly on iOS 14. New version released 1/21 is excellent! Must have if you own an HDHomerun or two. More than “generally useful.” Keep up the good work!

Works great and helped improve signal. Moved in a home with existing attic antenna pointed in the wrong direction over 90 degrees. This app really helped to get it pointed properly.

Perfect for HDHomeRun users. If you’re trying to fine tune your antenna for use with your HDHomeRun, this app is the one for you. Generalize your area with the included tower locator and then switch to the signal/quality strength indicator and fine tune for the best reception. Perfect!!

Ok but does not pick up all channels. The app does what it says and works well. Autoscan for channels did not pick up all the channels I receive which is why I only gave it 3 stars. At startup there is a manual scan option but can’t find how to manually add channels once the autoscan finished.

Major issues and Glitches. This App Crashes constantly. Channel numbers are wrong. Experiments don’t work. Pretty useless. I recommend to skip this and use the HDHomeRun PC app. Lookup HDHomeRun_config_gui. It’s available after installing the pc app on your computer. I wished this worked. I gave it 2 stars because it is a great idea.

GREAT!. This app makes troubleshooting and optimization a breeze! From problematic tuners to problematic cable connections, to Splitters, preamps and antennas, getting complete data from the actual point of usage, after passing through the Entire system, makes diagnosing and resolution a quick matter. THANK YOU!

Took some time to figure it out. I had to play with it to see how it worked, a single page on how to use it would have been nice. After I figured it out, it works great.

Lost without it. I have a less than ideal antenna location with lots of trees and neighbors. I was totally guessing before I added this app with a HDHomeRun. Because of location challenges, I have to tweak the alignment once in a while. This app gives me the signal and quality readings for my best alignment. A must have. Many thanks to the developer.

Excellent app. Love this app and use it to set my antenna’s direction. However the new update has introduced a bug. The graph y-axis says Signal Quality but is plotting signal strength. Please fix.

No ATSC 3 support. It says it does support with experimental but I see nowhere to choose those channels to see the strength. Since I had to pay for it I’m very irritated they lied about the support for 3.0. I have the hdhome 4K and I have the channels in 3.0 in my HDHomeRun app so I know I pick them up.

Awesome!. This App is awesome in every way. Operationally very valuable for system setups and great graphics.

Not Generally Useful. ...While its crashing during every channel scan, even immediately after a reboot.

Very easy to use. Great app! Easy to use but I’m having trouble it’s shows I’ve got 100% signal or close to it on a few but 0 quality. I do have it amplified by double Mohu amplifier. It’s the Mohu skyhd 60 antenna and most stations are 60 to 80 miles out. Does this mean I need a stronger antenna? Thanks

Wow. Super helpful. I went searching for a way to help me position my antenna. This was exactly what I needed.

Helpful app, few suggestions. 1. Add an option to leave the screen on when on the signal page. When pointing my antenna, it was annoying to constantly wake the iPad screen. Additionally, it would be nice if the app would still poll when the screen was 2. Tweak the UI so it’s clearer which circle is signal strength and which is signal quality. It was pretty confusing and I constantly mixed up the two. 3. Increase the signal polling frequency and store a longer history. I’d like to be able to review a longer dataset to ensure the channel is stable. 4. Plot signal quality levels on the signal chart by the reference lines. Also some indication to indicate loss of symbol lock on the chart would be real nice too. Other than that, this app was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect position for a high gain antenna in a cramped attic. Watching the signal graph made it easy to try different positions. The experiment page made it easy to determine which antenna/filter/preamp works best. Nice work!

Works for me. One of the most useful apps, productive apps I've used. Even though I may never use it again, it is well worth 3 Bucks. Took about 2 minutes to adjust my new attic antenna. Takes me longer to climb up and down the attic stairs.

Fantastically helpful - get it!. We have been using this app for the past few years to optimize our Mohu antenna for our HD home run. The app was indispensable for helping us figure out the best antenna location and continues to help with fine tuning and maximizing signal. I highly recommend the app - its fantastic!

It’s repack time.... I’ve lost WCVE (Richmond, VA). Seems they have moved from real channel 42 to repack channel 22 (virtual 23). A scan still displays real channel 42. Is your app working off a database (maybe outdated) or is WCVE broadcasting the wrong channel information in their signal? My next email goes to WCVE asking the same question. I had a feeling repack would be interesting.... Thanks

Perfect for my needs. This app did exactly what I needed it to do, help me tune my antenna while on my roof. Well worth the purchase. A dedicated tool would have been much more expensive.

Great App. I am Recording OTA using two HDHomeRun Quattro, I am getting glitches where sound and picture go off for a while and it irritating. Watching the channels normally is no glitches at all. This app tells me that my antenna is not the problem which is a great investment... I am getting 100% Quality and Strength on the channels I notice the issue.

Version 3 is a superb update. New GUI MUCH more useful! I had this a few years and think the new interface will be much easier for new users. Scans are much faster and more complete. Everything is better. I use it with HDhomerun 4 tuner and find it invaluable. I always recommended it but now consider it a must have. Thank you!

Wow. Did this make it easy.. The maps are fantastic. Took about 10 seconds to find out my antenna was about 20 degrees off. More channels, better signals. Awesome.

Latest update. The latest update causes the app to crash after reopening the app a second time.

ATSC 3 support broke scanning. I really like this app, but the latest version broke scanning. The app starts to scan and the stops with no channels (stations) found. Before this version I would have given 5 stars, but it’s useless now. Note, if I disable the two ATSC3 tuners the scan will proceed. Note 2 - The email author option is disabled.

Formidable. Si vous avez un HDHOMERUN avec une antenne, cette application permet de voir en temps réel le signal sur 2 postes de votre choix. Highly recommended if you have an HDHoneRun and need data to best choose and position your antenna. I don’t normally leave reviews but this app is great. It does exactly what it says, which was what I needed to help me troubleshoot choosing and positioning my antenna. I’m in the Toronto area, so can confirm this works for Canadians as well.

Not Happy. App freezes and has to be restarted to unlock. We receive way more channels than what shows up in the app. App provides no value.

This is invaluable for positioning my antennas. There are a few weak signals I’m trying to get, and having this app open as I play with the antenna wires and position really helps. In the before times, I would need to have a TV tuned in and do it by trial and error.

Amazing for Canadians, too!. Despite the ‘USA’ branding throughout the app, this is fantastically useful for us the Great White North, too. This makes it so easy to get multiple channels lined up at the best possible signal. I’m a stone’s throw from the CN Tower in Toronto but can also pick up a number of stations from Buffalo, NY and this app has made my life so much easier compared to the basic HDHomeRun web config.

Works as advertised, great timesaver. This little app delivered exactly what I was looking for. I have two SiliconDust HDHomerun tuners on my network, a 2nd generation and 3rd generation. This app detected the tuners immediately, let me tune in to four stations simultaneously, and report back on signal strength and signal quality. I took my iPad up into the attic with me to point the antenna, picking the best spot for the four most common channels that I use. An unexpected feature was a map of the signal towers nearby, and an arrow pointing which direction you need to point the antenna. This uses the iPad's built-in compass and while I didn't personally need it because I know where the towers are, it would have been a great help when I was first starting out. Note that this only works for US towers, not Canadian.

Perfect!. Getting real time signal quality feedback in my hand as I positioned and rotated my antenna allowed me to reliably receive 2 more channels than I previously though possible. I was able to rotate the antenna such that the new channels were being received reliably, while ensuring that the changes I made did not degrade the reception of other channels below an acceptable threshold. This app is worth the price many times over. Great job. Thank you!

Great Tool. This is what I was looking for to help me check my OTA signal. HDhomerun offers a program on my Mac but I hate taking my MacBook in the attic. Plan to test a new coax cable and antenna this weekend and this is the tool I need. Thank you.

Nice App but where are the units?. This is a handy application to have while working in the attic setting up my digital antennae with a HD home run box. There are a couple additional features I would like: 1. The signal intensity vs time graph should have units. 2. It would be nice to be able to alter the scaling of the graph (what about a way to export the data). 3. I would also like to be able to graph the signal strength of a channel that the scan did not pick up. Despite these missing features this is exactly the type of application I wish the app store had more of. Thank you!

Simple and effective. I use an HD Homerun tuner, and this app really simplified my adjustments to my antenna. It was easy to use and allowed me to either scan for stations or input specific stations. Definitely worth a few bucks, and now I can adjust my antenna If I need to (storms tend to screw up my reception of a few stations), and I don't need to grab my laptop because I can just pull out my phone and see the signal strength.

Scam!!. The app prompted me for IP address then nothing happens.

crashes on 14.0.1. crashes as soon as I enter the IP address. subsequent reopenings result in immediate crash.

Sooo Helpful!. Wow! Got a new antenna, put on roof. Stood there with my iPod, this app, and.... Just kept moving the antenna until I had the best signal strength. Then, while in the basement, I could monitor the changes in strength as I changed the gain on the amplifier and compare the quality of different cables & splitters. Expensive for the one time I have to use it, but Worth it compared to a separate meter. I would buy again.

great utility. Ran across this app and it's been very helpful tuning my antenna and monitoring. Well worth the price to save me time climbing up on the roof a dozen times. I found one bug, and Glenn responded to my email in less than ten minutes. He found the issue and fixed it quickly. Highly recommended.

Indispensable. If you have an HDHomeRun, this app is indispensable. It automatically found my device and let me flip through the local channels. I found that if I let the app run for a while on each channel I got a better picture of things. Some channels would fluctuate in strength–something I didn't have any idea about before I started using this app. Another nice feature is the map which utilizes the iPad compass. You turn the iPad so that the on-screen arrow points toward your local antennas on the map as best as you can and then translate that facing position directly to the antenna. It makes everything very simple and gives you information in a truly excellent format. The fact that it's a universal app is a big bonus, too. One thing to note: if you use EyeTV (and perhaps other programs for tuning and recording channels have the same problem), make sure you restart EyeTV after using this app. You will be changing channels with this app and the EyeTV software is apparently designed to keep track of what it thinks is tuned and thus not tune to a specific channel each time. I found that it would record the wrong channel after using this app. A simple restart of EyeTV got things back on track. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THIS APP, IT'S AN EYETV PROBLEM. I'm just giving you a head's up if that's what you use.

A must-have for setting up a HDHomerun and antenna. Signal GH helped me tremendously setting up my antenna for use with a HDHomerun. I was easily able to determine that an attic mount was not going to work for my setup, properly aim the antenna once mounted outside, and trace cables from outlet to outside box. Using the app it was easy to determine that it was not simply an alignment problem in the attic, but, no matter where I tried to point the antenna, I was not going to get satisfactory signal for the lower powered stations. The app made aiming the antenna a breeze as I could tune in the weaker stations on the HDHomerun and adjust the antenna with near real-time feedback. Tracing the cables was a surprise use for this app. I reduced the number of splitters in order to reduce signal loss. To find the appropriate cables to hook back up, I simply had to move the HDHomerun to an outlet in the house, go out to the juntion box, and hook up cables watching Signal GH for a signal. I was able to use this method for all of the outlets I wanted the antenna signal to go to. I also plan to use it again to find the appropriate connection for cable internet. If you are setting up (or have signal issues with) an antenna and HDHomerun, BUY THIS APP. If you do not have an HDHomerun, buy one, then buy this app. I do not have any experience with an HDHomerun and cable TV and can't comment on that setup.

Very useful.. Does exactly as described. Very useful if you are aiming an outdoor antenna, especially on a roof or similar. Gives data that is all in one place and not easily found with other software. Kinda stings to buy an app that you only really need once or twice. Would be ok with ads built in to make it free as nobody needs an app like this very frequently.

piece of junk. This thing is worthless until they add QAM cable scanning capabilities.

Great utility! But one request for a future version. I like how this utility works, and that you can select to turn on and off the tuners from the settings. One thing I would very much appreciate seeing is that when you turn off displaying a tuner that it 'detunes' that tuner, setting that tuner to not tuning any channel. This would also apply when starting up the program. If a tuner is disabled and not displaying in signalGH, that the tuner be left off until it is turned off. I'd rate this app 5 stars if I had that functionality! Thanks for the great utility!

Could not be happier!. After many fruitless trips up and down stairs to my attic trying to guesstimate a good antenna orientation, I finally bought a HDHomeRun Dual HDHR3 and Signal GH so I could stand right there with my phone and get it right. Helped immensely. The app showed signal strength and quality for multiple channels (on both tuners), allowing me to find the best antenna orientation possible. Finally I am able to receive all local channels. Bravo!

Just But It!!. GREAT app good job!! Just used it for the first time tonight to align a quad bay antenna here in Charlotte. Although I am only about 20 air miles from the towers, I have a hill in the direction I need the point which makes it very tough to pinpoint signal. After I upgraded my HD homerun tuner, my old signal app would no longer work with the new one and needed a solution as the HD web app only gave static info at time of tuning. Was looking into buying a signal meter so I could pinpoint stations, then I came across this app and decided to give it a try.... it works GREAT! With the old HDHomeRun Signal app, you Had to change between the two tuners to see two different stations and quality(SNR)level. This made it very tough when you have stations that are only about 3 to 4° apart andhave to aim the two different bays of an antenna precisely. After about an hour, I was able to peek up one Bay on three of my primary stations and the other Bay 5° off of the other one without issue.Thanks for writing this great piece of software, it is appreciated for techies like me!!

Fantastic potential!. I have just switched from cable TV to an attic-mounted antenna, and have been having troubles obtaining a high quality digital TV signal. Unfortunately for me, my TV does not have a signal strength meter built-in (and it's also way too big and far away from the antenna location to be useful). Somehow I stumbled upon this app while looking for solutions to my problem, and fortunately I already had a SiliconDust HDHomerun networked TV tuner. The perfect answer to my needs: signal strength metering in a portable (iPad-mini sized) package! Running the app let me point my antenna for better signal quality, and helped me learn a lot about over the air TV reception. I'm not quite done with my tuning yet, but I've made improvements, and I have more to try before I've exhausted my options. The reason I give the app only three out of five stars is that it is not quite polished yet. It crashes now and then, and doesn't give feedback when it is performing an action (such as scanning for channels, or when tuning during channel changes). Also, the controls for the channel scan are not intuitive. And there is no on-line help to muddle through problems. (For example, my tuner was still set to the cable TV band when I started using this app, and the app did not switch the tuner to over-the-air broadcast bands. I thought the app was DOA until I went to my computer and tried the HDHomerun GUI utility. After I used that utility to set the tuner mode, Signal GH was able to scan channels just fine (as long as I didn't try to scan both tuners at once...)) However, I really look forward to app improvements (and upgrading my rating). I think this app has awesome potential as a high-quality, and very useful tool. And while I enjoy my HDHomerun tuner, this is by far the most useful application I've ever had for it. Kudos to the developer for thinking of this app, and for making it a reality.

A lot better than dragging your laptop to the roof. The application works well and is a heck of a lot more convenient than dragging your laptop up to your roof (or attic, etc). The graph could be labeled slightly better though in terms of clearly saying things like "if your signal strength or quality drops below this line you won't really be able to watch this channel." All in all well worth the purchase just for the sake of ease.

Best $2.99 I ever spent. If you have an HD Homerun tuner, this app will help you point your antenna. The ability to view signal strength and quality for 2 channels simultaneously is genius.

Signal gh. I kept telling my wife, while I was up on a ladder adjusting my antenna with signal gh running on my iPad, how cool this program is. I set the iPad on the paint tray so I could see the signal quality while I made adjustments to my antenna for my Silicon dust hdhr dual. The first time I did this I used the tv's signal strength indicator, but every time I switched channels I had to get back down the ladder and redo the tv menu functions. This app is just the very best way to tune your ota antenna and keep an eye on your system. Best 5 bucks I've spent! This is a must have for all you Silicondust hdhr users out there.

Great tool...until. After the last update for iOS 10 the response is annoyingly slow.

Doesn’t work. This app doesn’t work without special equipment. Funny they don’t tell you that before you buy it....

Great app. Very very helpful. Shaved hours off of positioning the antenna with the help of the signal strength meters and the tower map.

Really great app that dies what it says. I bought this app and immediately found it useful. I have two hdhomerun boxes (4 tuners). I have the antenna for one on our second floor, connected to a jack. It let me fine tune each channel easily. Impossible to do without having a computer. I actually found this easier than having the computer since it remembers the station names unlike the utility from silicon dust. Also let's me check quickly if picture degradation in a program is natural or if I need to go tweak the antenna on the third floor where the other tuner is located. Great app for OTA signals.

Great app. Great app to show the signal strength from my HDHR. The antenna location map using the built in compass was an added plus too.

Turned my HD Homerun into a great signal meter. When it comes to aiming an antenna for digital television reception this app does what a $300+ tester does. I recently upgraded from HD Homerun to Tablo and I am very happy that I decided to keep my HD Homerun because the Tablo can't do what this app and the HD Unit can for determining the signal strength of multiple broadcast TV stations like this combination can! It is necessary to be able to connect to the wifi router that is connected to the HDhomerun unit, or be able to power the HDhomerun and any router at the the antenna location (most likely your rooftop), and run the app on your iOS device and you will be able to see several channels/ stations' signal strengths while you adjust your antenna for best reception.

If you buy a SD HDHomeRun, but this app too.. Love it, better interface for configuration than the page, use this app for sure.

Must-have for HD Homerun users. Fantastic app if you have a Silicon Dust HD Homerun TV tuner. (As the developer states, there's no reason to download this app if you don't.) It has a simple, easy-to-read interface that helps you monitor the signal strength of OTA channels. It is particularly useful with the dual tuner model, since there are two channel columns that you can easily spin through to check two signals at once (think of a slot machine). The graph is nice as well, especially since each tuner is represented by a different colored line--this makes it easy to monitor signal strength over time. The graph also features a flat red line at the 60% mark or so, which I find to be the threshold below which I don't receive a 100% reliable TV signal. My only beef is that sometimes the tuners don't seem to want to unlock, so it can take a few tries to switch channels--but I suspect that it could be a Windows Media Center conflict (which you usually want closed during signal diagnosis). Overall, this app is indisputably worth the price if you need to troubleshoot an OTA signal with your HD Homerun tuner.

I cannot recommend this enough!!!. This app does exactly what I want it to do!! I have several local channels that I can get easily, but getting those channels 60 miles away required much trial and error- measuring signal strengths in different channels and different antennas- inches can make a difference. This is one of the most useful apps I have purchased. If your setup is complex, stop wasting your time. You need the right tool and this is it.

Adjusted antenna & saw real-time feedback of multiple channels!. I used this app to view over-the-air signal strength of a Silicon Dust dual-tuner HomeRun HD, while standing at the antenna in my attic. The Homerun Hd streams media over the same home network to which my iphone 4 was connected on WiFi. I was able to see both tuners at the same time. You can change channels on the fly very quickly with quick response. Note that it can be confusing trying to figure out which real frequency your channels operate, but even without this, it was pretty good at finding the channels and identiyf the call-station signs. This helped me "tune" my antenna position for my weak channels and then check all other channels quickly for adequate signal, and now I have no pixelating stations. This was very easy, quicker than running back and forth to a PC or TV, and much cheaper than a pro-use signal measurement instrument. Thanks for a good app!

After upgrade. After upgrade channels 7.1,7.2,&7.3 no longer show up on towers for Traverse City Michigan even though they are still on the air. So can not get direction information to aim antenna

Perfect. This app does just what it claims to do and does it well. If you are a HD Homerun owner using it for OTA signals, this app is spot on. Thanks for building this and making it available.

Extremely useful, well designed app.. This app is a life saver. My antenna is in my attic, my HD Homerun is in the basement. In order to test and adjust my antenna, I would have had to bring my laptop up into my unfinished unfloored attic. It was MUCH easier to just bring my iPhone up and use Signal GH.

New version takes some getting used to. I have been using this app for years and it has been very useful. The new version has a few issues. Id like to be able to select an individual virtual channel eg channel 5.1 and have that displayed on the UI instead of the the broadcast channel. The hdhomerun UI lists virtual channels this way, and these are the ones everyone is familiar with. Why make more steps for the user to have to go and figure out the which virtual channel is assigned to the broadcast frequency and hide that under the menu, when you have got a continent of room above it if you just made the graphing smaller. The old app worked that way and is way more intuitive and easy to use. The signal meters on the new app are way too small. I used to be able to keep my iphone or ipad far away from me while adjusting the antenna. The old bar graphs were very readable that way. There is too much space wasted on the real time graphs, and not enough space for the channel status indicators which to me are just as important , if not more important when adjusting your antenna. Can there be an option in the build to choose the old UI? Also, there may be a bug here. The software allows one to change a tuner station even though its “in use” (locked).. This can potentially clobber other apps that are using the tuner. It definately clobbers my DVR. Shouldnt there be a lock out mechanism for the tuner when its in use by another app?

Fantastic!. After buying an HDHomerun, I was so glad to find a way to use my iPhone to optimize the antenna location. Remarkably accurate and responsive! Extra kudus to the developer for making it free. Thank you!

WOW - Cool App. WOW. If you have an HD Homerun IP TV tunner on your network, this is a MUST HAVE app.... I have been trying to hunt down periodic pixilation problems that i beleived to be casused by multipath distortion for some time. I spent a small fortune on bigger dual tv antennas to try and get rid of the pixilization. This @2.99 app helped me properly and quickly identify the problem and totally aim the antennas as perfectly as they can be. I seldom get all gushy over a program/app, but no kidding, this is a MUST HAVE app...

Great Application. This is really great App. I am sorry that it is for “i” platform only. I am android user and there is nothing like that for android. I had to borrow iPad for this App. Anyway, must have App for any antenna installer. Great info. My Best ZW

Invaluable and handy tool for antenna tweaking. I've used this app for a while in conjunction with my HDHomeRun and find it to be the best way to aim my antenna. The tower map, compass display, and signal graph are all very helpful. The feature showing the physical channel number is also useful since in my area several channels have repeaters on separate frequencies.

A Big Timesaver. I just spent 2 days hooking up a UHF and a VHF antennas with an amplifier and a band combiner on a 20 foot mast. By accident I found Signal GH while searching google for HD Homerun signal strength. I quickly read the reveiws on Apple's App Store and then installed the app. Went back out quickly found the perfect direction for the UHF antenna.Then turned the mast by hand and found the best spot for VHF. I then loosened the VHF antenna on the mast and set it at 143 degrees and tightened it back up. The UHF was set at 260 degrees. Went back in the house and rescanned the HD Homerun and went from 14 channel to all 22 channels in my area. Best money I ever spent!

Not working to well. When scanning for the off air channels I receive on my HDHR tuner It only finds 8 of the more than 40 channels I receive and watch?

Was better before the update.. Not a fan of the new UI in 3.0. Yard to understand and read.
