By far the best DirecTV remote!. Can’t believe it’s only 99 cents 😳 It works beautifully, even across VLANs! Voice command recognition is near perfect. Highly recommend it! Only thing I can’t get working is control of Genie client receivers, but that might be related to my network.

DO NOT BUY!!!!. This app did not work. I tried several times with the help of an experienced person. We both can not figure out why this app does not work PERIOD. I would like a refund for the inconvenience and miss leading claims.

Confused. I purchased this app because my Direct TV remote is not working properly. The problem with this app is that you need the Direct TV remote to set it up on your phone. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?

Frozen. Mine worked good for one day and now it just won’t work I tried turning my phone off and refreshing it but nothing.

Doesn’t work. Waisted time and my .99 doesn’t work and the tutorial is so confusing

Add some finishing touches for night mode. Night mode is perfect for nighttime! But make the favorite channels grid black and add white versions of some favorite channel logos.

This app is horrible. This app works horribly its too slow and it lags a lot half of the function do not even work everytime you try to scroll through the guide it starts to scroll by itself and it will do that for like a minute and then you when it exit and go back to the guide to find the channel you want. Overall this app is horrible I would not recommend it and it is a waste of .99 cent.

Control. You have to be able to connect to WiFi to find the receiver to control just FYI

Lousy App, Waste of Time and Money. DirecTV said they do not have voice remotes because I could use the DirecTV Remote App. This App does not recognize voice for more than a few seconds, so it is useless. There is no numeric keypad so you have to keep the remote and the iPhone on hand.

Disappointing. Didn’t work for me and it said that my phone and receiver were both compatible. Waste of money.

Was “Huge delay in response”. “Having read the positive reviews, I’m sure there’s a remedy.” I eventually realized my Directv Internet connection was off. I reconnected, and now I love it! VERY RESPONSIVE

Works Great!. You know at first I tried connecting to my Direct TV and it wasn’t working at all which made me frustrated so I decided to write an email to the creator of this app to see if he could help me fix it or refund me. Not only did he respond at a good time but also helped with through on how to connect this app to my tv correctly and I was finally able to know where I went wrong and now I’m connected to my tv, it works perfectly!

Voice recognition. The voice recognition is completely useless

Fix please. It keeps crashing and freezing then glitches out and decides to mess up really bad please fix or I’ll be wanting a refund

works for me!. setup was a bit clunky but i ended up doing the manual thing. worked fine - found my server. reconnected perfectly so far. i have a rc73 remote. this works at the main server box only so far. i haven’t tried to get it to work with all the other minis i have. my issue was the big room, not the other 3 wireless rooms. this solved my big-room-one-remote issue. i have control when i need it. 4 stars because the interface design needs work - yet still super simple to get used to. i mean easy. i think bad reviews are from folks who don’t understand their network or didn’t take time to click the many accurate and helpful info buttons - all were very accurate.

Definitely worth $.99. I tried other remotes and they wouldn’t work with my receiver this one works just fine so it cost a buck it’s worth it.

Old systems don’t work. If you have an older system none of the tutorials will help you because it doesn’t match up. Couldn’t get it to work at all. No wonder DirecTV is losing subscribers hand over fist. Wish there were better options...

NO! DON’T BUY. Can’t believe Apple approved this. I wish I had read the reviews. The primary reason for getting such a remote would be to have keyboard access to search features. You can’t even search for “Search.” This doesn’t do anything that the standard DirecTV remote doesn’t do better and easier.

Works at first only. It worked the first time I used it.. now it doesn’t work.. i can’t able to switch channels with it..

Waste of time and money. Finally got it sort of working after manually adding my receiver....when it wants to work it doesn’t do so all that well..keep your money..

It’s alright. I like this app but only thing needs done to it is it needs a remote control pad on it with numbers and letters to make it easier to search the channels you want to watch.

Don’t waste your time or money. Doesn’t work at all. Remove this app from the App Store.

App should be free. Your app has come in handy. But I’d like my $1.00 back. It should be free. I’m newly paralyzed and drop and lose everything. I added this app so I wouldn’t have to inconvenience others to help me locate my remote immediately when I misplace it. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the tutorial provided more confusion than clarity for me. Also there are things on the screen such as those four colored circles that seem to provide no purpose which could be used for more important remote features for instance volume controls. Descent app none the less.

Do NOT buy. After reading reviews I ignored the bad reviews. Well, they are correct. I have iPhone 8+. The app is horrible does not work. Freezes up and I just horrible. Noting works as stated. DO NOT BUY. 5/6/18

WHY DIDN’T I LISTEN?!. This is the worst $0.99 I’ve spent! Lost our actual remote, was so excited to find this app. I did read through some reviews, but was very hopeful! However, this app is not helpful ... watched the demo several times and NEVER got the remote to work. I should get a refund ... even more so because the average rating is 2.1 — def below average app. That should say something!!!! Learn from my bad experience.

TERRIBLE. This app is terrible not only could i not get it to work with my receiver but it was too complicated to use. Also i will need my dollar back or i will be contacting apple about this joke of an app what a scam. DONT GET IT

Direct TV app. Garbage. Wish I could be refunded. The general idea was nice but the actual app itself lacks in every area. Don’t waste your money on this.

Love this app!. Not sure why other reviews are so negative. This app is awesome! I hate the fact that the DirecTV remote doesn’t have a backlit feature. Trying to fumble around with the buttons in the dark is next to impossible. This app is a great replacement and is now what I use when watching tv in bed. If it gets a dark mode it’ll be 5 stars for me. Highly recommend!

Works well and has good Technical Support. I found that this app works very well. After I downloaded a new iOS, however, I was having a problem. I contacted the developer, and got an immediate email back suggesting a solution that worked like a charm. The only suggestion I would have for improvement would be to add the ability to swipe and see what is coming up on a channel (as you can do with the Guide on the handheld remote). Still, this is a great app and deserves five stars.

Wish it worked...won’t even power on and off cable box?. Just one of those cool things that underdelivers. Unfortunately I can’t find my remote. Unfortunately the controller screen doesn’t completely work. Really would lie to turn my box on and off....

App kept crashing. As soon as I got my phone to sync to my receiver the app would crash. I tried deleting the app and downloading it again and it did the same thing. Don’t waste your money. Very frustrating

This is the REMOTE. I lost my direct TV remote like three moths back. I’ve downloaded countless apps. They always controlled the TV downstairs. This works flawlessly... didn’t have to really do anything but install this app. Thanks a mill.

Stupid app. What is the point of this app? One of my kids lost the remote, but to use the app I have to have the remote to program it. I want my freakin dollar back.

5 Stars BIGTIME. Took me a little effort to set it up at first. Had to use the manual route, but once it found my genie box...BOOM!!! Works amazingly. Highly recommend it.

Fix the GD freezing issue. For iPhone it freezes constantly and I have to delete it and reinstall it at least every three days. You guys should be better at this.

Don’t work. I got the app due to me not being able to find my remote. But I couldn’t use this app at all for my tv😡.

Nice app. The auto-receiver detection is nice, definitely better than looking up and typing in the IP address. I like the easy to use without looking swiping interface. A button interface is still available for more complex operations.

Negative Stars. This is a great app...when it works. It was easy to set up initially, but not now. When my phone updated to iOS 11, 11.1, 11.1.1, and 11.1.2 the app had to be reinstalled and the set up was more difficult. Now, with 11.1.2, I cannot get it to work at all. It says it is successfully installed, but when I try to use it, nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Total fail. Everything looks right, except it has no information from the tv and tapping on any item has no effect. Disappointing and annoying at the least, now I lack appropriate words to adequately express my extreme frustration and annoyance. It’s too bad because it really is nice when it works.

Do not buy this app. This app is terrible there’s no program with you DIRECTV. I hope I can get my $.99 back

Very Pleased. This app works wonders! I use it all the time. The convenience of favorites with the ability to see the current programming is great. If there were an update that allows volume control I would rate 10 stars! Overall great app.

Simplification for Direct TV remote. This app has been a God-Sent for me. I couldn't get back to where I was on the Geni Remote when I wanted to surf channels. You can save your favorite and most likely to watch channels and see what is currently playing on each channel just by opening the app.

Love it. So far I love it. I have been looking for a replacement for Directvr and glad I finally found this. Has an updated design and favorites load quickly. Only thing is I wish it had more settings to mess with and better icon. One thing I would like is when the remote isn't up you can see the show description under channel and show name. Also would be cool if there was an option to open right to favorites each time.

Highly Recommended!. I recently switched from subscription cable to Directv. Almost immediately I sought an app that could replace the physical remote, mostly because of the lack of backlighting and the difficulty navigating the device in subdued light. I have used a few remote replacement apps for my WMC HTPC, and they all lack something. That is not the case here. This remote covers all the bases. Complete control of all receiver functions, including the ability to power the unit on and off (there are a few exceptions, check your model number for compatibility). The ability to assign 65 favorite channels, and a favorites guide that can be reviewed on your mobile device, leaving your screen TV or monitor completely unobstructed. This app will automatically locate your receiver over your LAN, and will also control multiple receivers. Voice control, touch control, direct channel input, intuitive layout - all contribute in making this app a MUST HAVE for anyone with a Directv receiver. Many thanks to the developer for a great app that gets my highest recommendation. Keep up the good work! If you’re looking for a Directv Receiver remote replacement app, look no further. Worked PERFECTLY!. I wished I had found this app before I dropped a hundred bucks on a ridiculously complex WiFi to IR converter called Itach. This app worked so easily I think it's stupid-proof. I have an Iphone 5 with IOs 6. I downloaded the app, and then had the app search my network for my Directv box (an HR20) and found it in about 10 seconds. You may have to do two searches as it might take a minute to get acquainted with your WiFi system. Once it found it. It was like as if it was made for it! It has no lag at all. Awesome is all I can say.

Best IPhone Remote. After losing my DirectTV remote I tried just about every app in the App Store. This is the only one that worked consistently. The app on the DirectTV app only worked 10% of the time. Even though I found the remote control, I still use this app.

Won’t connect to Gemini Air. Title says it all. Doesn’t work with Gemini Air - can’t “discover” it, nor can I add it manually.

Best directv remote. Great design and function. I've used All of the other directv remote apps and this one works great. The only problem is that the Find feature doesn't Find the receivers, maybe cuz they're too new, I dunno. But overall the app works great and I recommend it.
